Hunters Point South Dog Run

As a resident of the Court Square LIC area, I frequently bring my dog to this wonderful dog run - at least twice a week! The park is always clean and well-maintained, with separate areas for smaller and larger dogs to play in.My dog, Evé, loves running around the hill-like structure and playing with the other friendly dogs in the park. The people here are also very friendly and welcoming, making it a great place to spend time.While the park is a bit small, the incredible Manhattan view more than makes up for it. Overall, I highly recommend this dog park to anyone looking for a clean and fun place for their furry friends to enjoy.

Weve visited this dog run a handful of times and my pup enjoys it. Hes small but prefers running around with the bigger dogs. People are friendly and we havent had any issues with any other dogs the times weve visited. He also doesnt like turf so the concrete is a plus for him.

Can’t wait to bring my dog here! Nice dog park on the edge of the waterfront. Seeing all the happy puppies was a delight. Everyone seemed nice and respectful too. It’s such a nice park and clean as well! I can’t wait to bring my dog here and check it out. What a gem for the area! 🐕 🐩 🐶

There is a small dog area and a larger dog area...The park itself is kind of small for the amount of dogs and owners that go here. Space fills up quickly to an almost uncomfortable level. Make sure your dog is trained well. Overheard a-lot of growls, barks and yelps one more than a few visits. Also the entire place is cemented with a big hill in the middle of it. Watch your puppies paws for scrapes and cracking from running and sometimes falling down the hill. The creator of the run should have made the entire area for large dogs and another barely used area around the park for the smaller dogs.

I was writing a review of Hunters Point South Park and most of it turned out to be of the dog run. This is a wonderful dog run. It is very clean. There is a side for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. My friends dog, Rubio, played in both. There is a pool on each side for them to play in and cool off in. There is also a hill like structure for them to run and play on. The people are friendly and so are the doggies. My friend said she had never been to such a nice dog run. The doggies in this dog run are all so friendly and their humans are also nice.

This dog run is perfect for my dog, and he is happy every time he go there. Great view as well.

Dirty, full of excrement and pee, there was no water, no one knew how the hose worked, full of flies because of the dirt. The people who were there did not know that you have to clean when dogs pee and put water on top, an uncomfortable place. Disappointed, I thought that dog park was going to be neat, clean and nice like the luxury buildings in front of it.

My dog is a big fan of this dog run and loves the mini pool. I like the hill in the middle that allows for more exercise.It gets crowded on weekends, but weekday daytime is great!

Nice place for all family I went for Zumba class, everybody enjoy, Zumba schedule is every Wednesday at 6:30 good time for moving the body if doesnt matter your age , blessing.

This is the perfect place to exercise and socialize your pet. There’s plenty of space, fresh water is available for our furry friends, and there are two separate enclosures, one for small animas, and the other for large ones. LICis such a dog friendly community, and this is the perfect place for your pets to play.

Great little places for dogs to run around. People are also friendly. Both times Ive visited there is a strong pee smell around the water fountain so it hasnt been cleaned recently.

Enjoyed walking around the park as Spring attracted a crowd to the park. It’s really beautiful you would ever love to hang!!

They have 2 areas for doggies, it is kept very clean. Parking terrible but worth it.

Great large open space for dogs, children and adults to run. You will not beat the views of Manhattan plus you can get there quickly with the NYC ferry. Variety of events for all

Its a great place. Clean, fun people. good in general. But big dogs should seriously be on their side. A big dog attacked my Boston terrier and landed him in the hospital (hes fine now). As bad as that sounds Im actually quite happy that this beast didnt go for a tiny Maltese that was next to them. Would have killed it! My Boston could at least fight back for a split second while I reacted.

Love that theres two sections to the doggy play area. We have a 6 month old corgi puppy who seems to always attract the attention of one big dog who inevitably barks and runs after her at these parks, so it gives us peace of mind to bring her somewhere where we wont have to constantly follow her around to make sure shes ok!

Clean, lots of pools for when is hot. Concrete floor so its kept clean

The dog run is great. The people that goes there is meh. There are people that dont understand the whole of of a separate SMALL dog run. The bigger dogs go into the bigger side. Also, this is not a petting zoo, dont come in and expect to pet other peoples dog. Have some common sense.

Dangerous dog park because of the large concrete hill, and irresponsible dog owners who bring nippy, aggressive dogs to the park. Many dogs have broken paws and gotten bit at this park. Shut it down during the coldest 2 months of winter and redesign it.

Small dog park. Only a couple dogs every time Ive walked by. Nothing too nice or exciting about this dog park. The surrounding area provides a nice view of the water for humans, though.

Didnt feel welcome by a man with a limping leg. He had 2 miniature schnauzer and suggested me to keep my pitbull away from his dogs. He also told me that hell kick my dog because his 1 dog was on top of my girl pitbull and my pitbull had enough of it and growled. He had to leave because of his attitude. Overall all dogs were good with her especially a black dog. I will go back again.

Probably the best dog park in the area. Relatively clean given how nice the area is. The big dog area is much bigger so our small doggie loves running there. The view is killer though.

Smart people with friendly dogs

Always good experiences in this dog park.Its kept very clean, and now that temperatures are rising they have a bunch of water bowls and dog pools for them to get refreshed.

Amazing view, very friendly people and dogs. A little small (lack of grass, difficult to find parking) but clean and my puppy loves it here!

My grand puppy had her 1st birthday party here. Awesome place and great puppy parents there.

The park is nice size and has concrete floor (no mud/stones) but the main gate didnt lock are lots of plastic tubs in one corner.

Beautiful environment, love the spring weather and watching the trees and flowers bloom.

The premier spot for dog watching in LIC. Come during the summer and youll see all sorts of breeds playing with each other, forgetting centuries of breed-on-breed rough play if only for a few minutes of play.

Nice community spot to bring the dogs. It seemed a little small for the amount of dogs that were there (and looked to be regulars)

What a beautiful tranquil waterfront park. Makes NYC look suburban except with high rises.ESPECIALLY the Hunters Point South Park. This simply AMAZING. 🌷🥀🙏

Very nice place for a walk especially when the sun is out and weather is not too cold/hot. The dog park is separated out for big and small although no one really enforces it. Occasionally, tourist come and open both dog gates which can be annoying. Watch your dog!

The pool was a kiddy pool and its parking is horrible no good parking

A park designed for a peaceful walk with those adorable beings that are dogs. You can enjoy walking and seeing the views of Manhattan. Possibility of taking painting landscape type photos. Occasionally clueless tourists.... The quiet areas of NYC
