I have been grooming my dog in this establishment for the past 2 years. My puppy loves German and the best part of all is that she doesnt get an allergic reaction due to her being very sensitive, the products he uses are great. I do believe hes a great groomer and a great person. I would recommend wow4paws to you 😊 Lexi looks beautiful ! 🐶

We love wows 4 paws! 20 min walk from our home but the short trip is well worth it. Our dog normally has SEVERE anxiety when we take him to other groomers nearby in LIC. This is the only groomer that he is less anxious with, which speaks volumes about how well they treat the dogs that come here. Highly, highly recommend! :)

Our normally sweet Shiba turns into a little demon every time we bring out the brush at home—grooming is a 2-man job and not a pleasant experience for the pup or the humans involved. But Wow 4 Paws is another story! German works some kind of magic here, because not only does Obi look fantastic after being groomed, but he pulls us TOWARD Wow 4 Paws every time we’re on the block, and adores the man wielding the brush enough to come inside and give kisses even when he knows what’s coming. We’ve been coming here since Obi was 6 months old, and are endlessly thankful to German for charming our stubborn boy!

Our 5mo puppy desperately needed to be groomed but we love how fluffy he is so we were nervous about taking him to a groomer. I was able to talk to the groomer about what I wanted, and he efficiently took our pup and got to work. When I came to pick him up, he was even fluffier than before and seemed happy and comfortable - I couldn’t believe it! We think he looks funny and adorable, and he’s definitely very clean! Very happy with our experience, plus he came home with a cute bandana which is just icing on the cake!

I have been taking my puppers here since they first opened. She is a nervous nellie when it comes to grooming, but German does great with her. His prices are good, he is quick and she always looks so cute!

I love this place!! I was a little nervous at the beginning after reading some of the reviews but I have been bringing my teacup poodle there now for 6 months and I’m so happy with their service. She’s happy when I drop her off as well which gives me peace of mind, and they do an amazing job with the haircut. Would 100% recommend!

I’ve tried many different spots but this is the best dog groomers in LIC hands down! My pup always comes out smelling super clean and feeling extra soft ❤️ Also, the owner German always takes great care of my dog and is a very kind and gentle person. Whenever I took my dog to other groomers he always seemed super anxious and cried when I came to pick him up. At wow4paws he is totally different and seems to be happy and cared for whenever I walk through the door. I love this place :)

I took my little doggie, Button, to this Groomer and had such a wonderful experience. I find that truly cutting a Pets hair is a skill that comes with significant experience, and not all groomers have it! Jeremy, who I believe is the owner of this relatively new business, did an excellent job. He was more than welcoming and is the one actually doing the grooming. Button looked absolutely wonderful (see attached photos) and he cut her exactly the way I asked, cut her nails, used a healthy shampoo on her, and also did a teeth brushing.She was relaxed and happy when I picked her up and not nervous or trying to jump into my arms to escape which has happened a few other times with other Groomers! I would love for the LIC community to support this small business because its business owners like this that deserve to be recognized for their excellent service. Our favorite groomer in LIC! Our samoyed Maya has an incredibly fluffy and thick coat that is difficult to maintain, but the folks at wow 4 paws always do an amazing job bathing her and brushing out any tangles. We’re always amazed by how bright and soft her coat is after they’re done & will continue to come back here whenever our pup needs a bath!

My pup, Leo, has been getting groomed at Wow 4 Paws for a few years now, and German always does a great job. Nobody else is able to get him as detangled and fluffy (see before/during/after pics)!I heard about the dog who escaped and got struck & killed by a car on Jackson Ave, and my heart breaks for that pup and his family. Ill be honest - i was scared to bring Leo back here after hearing what happened, and Im sure a lot of other people have the same feeling. I wanted to post a review letting people know a few steps that Wow 4 Paws has taken to improve the safety of pets: theyve installed an extra gate inside and dont release any pups into the waiting area until theyre on a leash. The most recent time I went I also had to buzz/knock to get into the building. While its sad that it took a tragedy to have these additional safety measures put in place, the team there is clearly hyper-conscious of preventing any more pets escaping from the building, and I do feel that they care for the safety of the pups in their care.

Had such a wonderful experience at WOW4PAWS, German and his team did such an amazing job with my 8 month puppy! Would 100% recommend this pet salon for all grooming services! They worked very quickly and the prices were extremely reasonable! Will definitely be back!Attached are before and after pictures.

Why is he getting anything less than 5 stars? That guy really knows how to groom a dog, AND he’s got reasonable prices - I almost don’t even want to let people in on the secret. My groomer hating, matted goldendoodle’s best trim yet. He looks and smells amazing. The fragrance is nice and subtle - not the chemical floral smell you sometimes encounter.I’m sorry I just noticed his snout is a little messy. This photo is 2 days after the trim and after he ran around in the mud all afternoon. My 15 yr old is in raptures over how cute he looks.

So much extra care into getting my labradoodle, Teddy, dematted and groomed! Had an appointment with another local grooming salon that I confirmed with the receptionist when I picked up my dog on Friday. When I arrived for the grooming appointment, I was told that I didn’t have one, even though I made the reservation by phone with the receptionist! Had to wait 8 days for another appointment. I was then called by this other salon to again postpone my appointment because the groomer needed the day off. At the dog park, I was told about wow 4 paws. I called and got an appointment the next day. VERY reasonable prices and even stayed way past closing to finish Teddy! I am so thankful for his skill and caring!

This place is hands down the best dog groomer in LIC. I’ve tried almost every single groomer in LIC, two places in Manhattan, and one popular spot in Jersey but none of them make Bella look as good as Wow4paws does. Bella always leaves looking so cute! This is the only place we take her now.

This place is not for cat grooming!!!I highly doubt they understand the services. Cat doesn’t need a haircut unless the hair is tangled and oily and a lots of hair balls. Cat bath and grooming means bath and brushing! My boyfriend took our cat to this place. Our cat got the same services as a dog. I cannot imagine how she feels about herself and what that will ruin her healthy skin.

Best grooming in LIC/sunnyside area at affordable rate and has been forthright in ensuring place is lockdown to avoid repeat of what others have mentioned. Feel safe bringing my boy here and think others should as well.

I had a fantastic experience with the pet grooming service! They were extremely attentive to my pets needs and preferences. The staff was friendly, professional, and clearly knowledgeable about various breeds and coat types. My furry friend came out looking and smelling amazing, with a shiny coat and neatly trimmed nails. The facility was clean and well-maintained, which put me at ease. Im thrilled with the results and will definitely be returning for future grooming appointments. Highly recommended!

I was really really hoping this place to be good for my cat since its so close from my home. But I dont think I will take my cat here going forwardI took my cat here for grooming (including hair cut), and he ended up coming back with a cut on his arm.I let the owner know about this, and he did call to apologize, but he neglected to offer any sort of compensation. And when I told him that I am expecting some sort compensation for the injury, he just said he apologizes a few times and rushed to hang up.I understand that mistakes do happen, but I expect to see a sense of ownership. I wont be taking my pets here.

My dog was hairy and tangled, he was depressed I took him to wow 4 paws; my dog came happy so handsome I didn’t recognized him everything went more than I imagined from amazing customer service. My experience was phenomenal. My dog was cared for with loveI know where we belong we found a forever wow 4 paws grooming. Highly recommended!

German and his team at Wow4Paws are fantastic! My 11 yo cockapoo is treated with kindness and gentle care and always comes home looking fabulous. Ive lived in LIC for almost 20 years and have tried all the other groomers in the neighborhood. German at Wow4Paws is by far the best and he has been an incredible addition to the community. I am very aware that a sweet pup tragically ran out the front door into traffic over the summer. If you take the time to speak to German about it and see the evidence of the extra precautions he has put in place to prevent anything like that from ever happening again, youll find he is an honest and hardworking business owner and truly cares about his customers and their animals. Highly recommend!

My fur babies have been groomed by the owner German and his team numerous times. German is attentive, honors appointments, remembers details, is efficient and offers reasonably priced services. My dogs come out clean, refreshed, fluffy, and even with a bow and bandana! I am happy with the results!

Our mini-poodle has been getting groomed here since she was 4 months old. She loves coming here and getting groomed. The prices are reasonable and German does a great job with cutting her hair and nails.

Please, for the sake and safety of your beloved pup DO NOT bring your dog here! Their negligence lead to the unfortunate DEATH of my dog. How could a groomer (whose sole job is to care for your pet) leave not one but TWO doors open?! Allowing the dog to escape and get hit by a car! Furthermore, showing no remorse or empathy; the value of the dog’s life went as far as “replacing the cost he was bought for”. I would never recommend this place. Please do not support this business and do not leave your pet in their care.

The owner did a wonderful job grooming our Brussels Griffon. It was her first time at the groomers and we were nervous for her but she did great. The owner also told us about a recent incident where a dog was hit by a car after running out of the front door and he was extremely upset about it. We feel terrible for everyone involved.

At first I hesitate to come here after reading reviews but I still give it a shot since its really close to my house, btw just moved here in LIC. So I made an appointment last minute the groomer was really nice and welcoming, my dog look so happy when I pick him up and he looks so clean and fresh! so far he is the best groomer Ive ever been and its really affordable price.(the place is secured and theres a fence at the door) so just incase whoever wants to bring their dog here they are safe.

This place should be shut down permanently. If you love your pets, just don’t go here. When someone takes their pet to a PROFESSIONAL pet cleaning service, they shouldn’t have to worry about their pet dying. This business owner acted irresponsibly, and his negligence caused a dog to die. This guy could’ve helped, and he didn’t because he felt no responsibility to keep these pets safe in the first place. He thinks his liability ends with his insurance policy, because he believes that pets are property that can be easily replaced. Our pets are family, not property.

Absolutely horrified by the recent events that cost my friends their wonderful puppy. A beautiful dog with a beautiful life ahead of him was taken away from him and his owners because of gross negligence under this business’s care. I cannot fathom how a dog that was supposed to be cared for at their facility was able to escape into a busy intersection and they did not even try to help him. I can’t begin to imagine the pain his parents are going through. This should have never happened and should never have to happen to another dog again.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. Incompetent, heartless, unprofessional.It’s heartbreaking to learn that this business is still open after being directly responsible for not only the DEATH OF OUR DOG, but for the inability to provide ANY assistance while he suffered severe injuries. How unethical and brazen is it to provide incentive/rewards for posting 5 star reviews in an effort to conceal a mistake of this enormity?!Our dog was placed under this groomer’s care when he escaped through MULTIPLE doors onto the street where he was unfortunately hit by a car and DIED. Do not use this incredibly negligent service!! A young dog passed away while left here for a simple grooming service. The doors were left open, making it easy for any dog to escape and run out onto a traffic-filled street. Almost no accountability from the business owners either, no family pet should be left here.

In August, a friend’s dog, Milo, was killed due to the gross negligence of this groomer, German Zevallos. Do NOT go to this groomer for the safety of your dog! The groomer is now offering customers incentives for giving a 5- star rating! This place is unprofessional and shady!

We LOVE Wow4Paws. Our 3 year old dog, George, is poodle mix and has a difficult coat prone to matting. We have had horrible experiences at other groomers in LIC and North Brooklyn.Once we found Wow4Paws we were impressed at how great George looked but also at how kind and gentle German and his team are with the dogs. George feels comfortable there and goes without crying or signs of anxiety and even tugs on his leash, pulling us in before his appointment!Wow4Paws provides a 5 star service we have come to trust.

My dog is not just my pet but my family. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE IF YOU LOVE AND VALUE YOUR DOG! The staff was careless and thoughtless while they were tending to my family dog! They left all the doors open so my dog was able to run out into traffic! The owner showed no remorse or desire to help as we tried to get him to the hospital. Unfortunately he could not be saved, and nothing will ever bring him back. All I can do is hope no one else ever has this kind of experience. Protect yourself and your family from this type of trauma!

Ive been here several times for my dog’s grooming and decided never coming again since yesterday. He said he is too busy and told me to come back later although I made a reservation a day before getting there. Also he nicked my dog’s paws and nails. Very unprofessional and have doubts if he has a legit certificate or things like that. If you love your pets genuinely, I don’t recommend getting groomed here.

I have a fantastic experience with the pet grooming service. My dog always comes out smelling and looking fantastic. I’ve had trouble with keeping a groomer for my chow chow but he knows how to treat my dog and have been with this groomer for about 2 years.

This business should be shut down for its gross negligence in regard to dogs’ wellbeing. My friend’s dog was recently killed because the groomer left 3 doors open allowing their dog to run out onto a busy street where he was hit by a car. They did not even go out to retrieve the dog after he escaped.The groomer and management offered no assistance to help the dog get emergency medical assistance. They did not have any emergency first aid on site, were not trained to react in an emergency, and did not know or help in looking for the nearest emergency animal hospital.Do not go here if you value your pets life.

We have been longtime clients and I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. Fabulous grooming and nail cutting etc. and a very warm vibe. Our adorable Bogie loves going there and is treated so lovingly. I highly recommend Wow 4 Paws!

Horrible business. They dont care about the safety of your dogs. They dont properly leash the dogs they groom and they leave their doors opens. As a result, a dog ran out of their shop and got hit by a car. They refused to help the dog and he died on the road. These people dont care about dogs. They never even apologized. I will never do business with these people!

The business owner did nothing to help, provide medical attention, or even provide a car to drive the dog to the hospital.Ive personally grabbed a dog running straight out the front door of this business. They are on a busy street and do not pay attention to the dogs in their care. If I didnt have treats on me the dog would have run directly into traffic.

We had trouble to find a good place for bath/spa in the neighborhood for our 11 months Scottish Terrier (and previously to our old Chilean Cocker). I must say Rei Obillion enjoys every visit to Wow4Paws.Weve been in the neighborhood for the past 10 years and its so good to have this type of entrepreneurship in the area.

This business severe malpractice and gross negligence led to the death of a neighbors dog. The groomer left three doors open which allowed the dog to escape and ultimately perish due to a hit and run.The groomer and management took *no ownership* of their obvious errors which lead to this tragic circumstance. They were completely callous as the situation unfolded as they did not attempt to retrieve the dog or seek any emergency services to save the dog.If you consider your pet to be a part of your family, do not support this business.

We took our pup Phoebe here for grooming and have also been for just baths. It’s very clean and the groomer is very friendly does an amazing job. She is always in good mood after and you can tell they take great care with the dogs!

The carelessness of this establishment directly caused a beloved dog to die. They left MULTIPLE doors open, causing my friends dog to run out and tragically be hit by a car.As if this werent bad enough, the staff at Wow4Paws also failed to provide ANY immediate support or assistance. Its horrible that the accident happened in the first place, but failing to help in a situation you directly caused is unforgivable.One of the worst things in the world is feeling as though you entrusted the wrong person. I implore anyone reading this to never, ever trust this business with your pets. My friend and his family were absolutely robbed of an incredible life with their dog. Shame on you wow4paws.

The best groomer my dog has been to. The owner is always caring and does a great job with my unruly Goldendoodle. He always treats my dog with such great care and attention. My dog loves it here. I highly recommend this place for curly Goldendoodles.

DO NOT GO HERE. There have been several dogs that have gotten out and ran into the busy intersection due to Wow 4 Paws’ negligence. A friend’s dog was struck by a car and killed while under their care. The staff was not even aware the dog was missing until a passerby informed them. They provided no explanation of how the dog got out or assistance in finding an emergency vet. Pure negligence and should not be allowed to care for animals.

Weve always gone toWow4Paws with our pups, a cockapoo and cavapoo. He has done great work every time, easy to work with and can do every style we want with all of the extra services (nails, ears, butt gland, etc. ). Love going here!!

Great place! Tried many places in LIC and only Herman can be trusted with my babies hair!

They took such good care of my blind, 11 year old basset hound! He got a bath, nail clipping, was shampoo and conditioner, blow dried with cool air, and got a bandana!

I called the day before to schedule an appointment for a nail trim and grind. They said no appointment needed. I come in the next day and walk my dog 15 min in 25 degree weather just for them to say come back Monday because they didn’t have a table. Completely incompetent and unprofessional every interaction I have had.

I took my dog Mac to a few places I was not satisfied at all. Today I took Mac to wow 4 paws . Mac came looking handsome after his fresh haircut .We will no go anywhere else I highly recommend wow 4 paws!!

Incredible service! Our 10 month old pup typically hates grooming but he came out of there with his tail wagging :) can tell he was handled with so much love and care. We will definitely be back!

Always takes great care of our nervous senior, Poptart. She has always cowered and cried at previous groomers, but at Wow4Paws she is much more at ease. On top of that, she always comes out looking great, and they always find a way to squeeze us in for an appt.! Neighborhood gem.

Our family dog literally died at the hands of this establishment’s negligence. They left the front door and gates wide open and our sweet boy ran out and was hit by a car. Wow 4 paws should not be in business.

I am so frustrated with this place. We booked an appointment for a grooming for my cat over a week ago.They called last night and this morning to confirm for 4:30 PM. They called again today to see if I can come before then, around 4 PM. I work at the hospital so it’s incredibly tough to get time off especially, to leave early but I was more than willing to make it work. Luckily, my coworker was able to take to my patients and allow me to leave early.As soon as I’m ready to leave to arrive there earlier as requested, I get a phone call (1 hr before or technically 30 minutes before), that they need to cancel the appointment because their partner is “leaving early”. That’s it. No other reason. No apology.I can’t believe you can cancel an appointment 30 minutes before the time just because you wanted to leave early after you requested me to come earlier. Totally unprofessional.

If you care about the safety and well being of your pet, DO NOT use Wow 4 Paws. This establishment should be disbanded after their carelessness and utter lack of accountability led to a friend’s puppy getting struck by a car.

Pay no attention to the location. The people is what counts and after having gone around many of our local groomers my dog is the happiest here. They really care.

Ive had trouble finding (and keeping) a good groomer for my Tibetan Terrier X Cavalier mix. When this spot opened up I had high hopes because its walking distance from us in Greenpoint. They did not disappoint! German listened attentively as I gave specific instructions on my pups desired style, and he delivered. Not only that, but her grooming appointments are typically 2-3 hours, and he had her finished in 90 minutes! Very happy with these guys.

We’ve been bringing our dogs here for a couple months now. It’s definitely worth the trek from manhattan, they are the best groomers we’ve found!

Simple request of never cutting my puppy lashes Owner had his asst cut it off and then made every excuse why it was done including lying to me that it wasnt . Not be trusted .

Love this place and Im so grateful for their care for our elderly dog. He is almost 16 years old and can barely walk, but he comes home from his grooming sessions looking beautiful and smelling wonderful every time! We have been to many groomers in LIC throughout the years and wow4paws is by far the best.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GROOMER. Very negligent. Not professional. My cousins dog died due to the negligence of this groomer. The dog was left with the groomer and the groomer left the safety doors open, and the dog escaped and ran into the busy and highly trafficked highway and tragically got hit by a car. The groomers staff didnt notice the escape right away, which caused further stress. It would have been better if they had immediate protocols in place for such situations, which the groomer did not have.Their actions are even more unforgivable because they have had similar incidents in the past where pets have escaped from the groomer’s premises.The dogs safety should be the utmost priority for any pet grooming business. In this case, the situation was heart-wrenching for the dogs owners, to loose their young dog. More prompt action and immediate assistance for the injured dog could have made a significant difference, however, the groomer did not seek immediate vet services or assistance for the injured pet. Its essential for any pet-oriented business to have robust safety measures in place. I would not recommend sending your pet here as they do not have the safely procedures and protocols in place for the well-being of all pets in their care.

DO NOT USE THIS GROOMER AS HIS NEGLIGENCE LED TO OUR DOG DYINGOn August 4th, 2023, my family gave our dog, Milo, to the care of German Zevallos for grooming services. During this service, the groomer failed to ensure the safety of Milo, as he didn’t lock the inside gate and lobby door, resulting in Milo running onto the busy street where he was struck by a car and was killed. The groomer’s lack of awareness and responsibility for a safety protocol with his dogs along with little to no aid during this moment of crisis (didn’t transport dog to hospital nor helped with transportation at all). We have heard from multiple other past customers in the community that their dogs have also run out of the groomer due to the same issues, but were fortunately saved by other people / circumstances.

This place is horrible. Straight cheeks. Service is bad and should be avoided at all costs. Do yourself a favor and avoid.

This establishment has a history of negligence which caused a beloved dog to run out into the street through multiple open doors, and get hit by a car.Whats worse is that the staff did nothing to try to rescue the animal, they did not even go outside to pick up the dog and see if he was alive. They did not even attempt to take the dog to an animal hospital.And they did not even attempt to help the dogs owners call a cab to take the dog to a hospital once they arrived.I cannot understand how such carelessness can occur and how heartless someone must be to not offer any help, especially from an accident that occurred at their facility.

Stay away from this place !! Negligent service!! A young pup passed away under their malpractice. The doors were left open with no supervision. No accountability from the business owners. TERRIBLE.

They not only did an incredible grooming, but my pup loved the groomers there too! They have a magic way with animals. Reasonably priced and such quality work. 10/10 would recommend!
