Maple Hill Dog Park

This is the best dog park I have ever seen, heard about, and/or been to!!! It is HUGE!!!! Water dishes, water, poop bags, waste receptacles, and seating all throughout the park. Our dogs loved it! We were there for well over an hour. We will definitely visit again if in the area. Highly recommend it!

The park seem to be kept very neatly the the grass is cut and garbage containers are available throughout the park so that people can kindly and properly dispose of their trash. Often times in some of these parks there are not enough garbage receptacles as a result people litter. But I must have counted at least five of them in different locations. There are signs on the gate that do inform everyone that there is not to be any vaping or smoking on the property. This is great because although its outside not everyone wants to inhale smoke. They have a small pavilion that has approximately nine tables for people who want to come out and eat and picnic. Across from it there is the playground with the tubes for kids to enjoy. Across the map theres a water fountain I was told they have fish in the pond Im not sure one day Ill discover it. However theres no signs here that say danger. I think all lakes and pond should have signs that warn people of the dangers that could possibly take place. Right now the lake is filled with vegetation which would probably make it a little difficult for people to fish it. I understand that the vegetation is needed but it would be so nice if they would have someone to maintain the pond where they clean out the vegetation to a degree that people can fish without being tied up on the weeds.Theres also a second pavilion which has a number of tables so it does make for a good location for people who want to come out and picnic. Hes also a monument recognizing Robert Nathan Isseks. One of the strangest things I saw in this park is a chest press. there is a portion of the park where theres a seesaw and monkey bars where someone wanted to get their exercise in as far as calisthenics they can. But to see a chest pressmachine in a park that is absolutely wild. Not only why but different and I like that idea. Not only that but theres also a row machine. I have to get this place a four-star as stated.

This is a nice dog park that is close to us and we come here frequently. It’s mostly well maintained but could definitely use some work. There’s almost always huge mud puddles even after days of sunshine, the water doesn’t always work, and it would be nice if there were some more “obstacles” for the dogs to play on. But again, great for a free park!!

Great community dog park in Middletown, NY. Well maintained separate areas for small and large dogs. This was our first time visiting with our aussie who had fun playing with others. Both parks were clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking and the humans visiting were all great.

The best dog park we’ve visited in New York State! Clean, with well-maintained grass, plenty of benches and water stations, and decent shade. Our dogs love rolling around in the grass here, we’ll go out of our way to stop here.

Its a great place for dogs to run around and play. I use the small dog side.They have running water, dog toys, 2 waste stations that have always had baggies available. So far Ive met some cool people there too.If it was not a good place, I never would have gone back...went 3 consecutive days after our first visit. Check it out for yourselves.

Its an excellent park to relax or bring kids to play they also have benches & cooking areas

Fenced in areas for large and small dogs, pick up bags, water, ready access, people there are friendly, good people there!

Interesting place. Theres a dog park next to a great childrens playground. My grandchildren had a great time. We were able to go to a close by food place, Stewarts, to get food and drinks to eat at the park. The park has many tables to accommodate sitting and eating.

Very nice set up with an abundance of water located through out the park.There is a previous comment of a group (Karen’s)with vicious small dogs posted right near the entrance. We stayed on our end , the dog run is massive.

Nice sized dog park with sides for big and small dogs. Plenty of waste stations with dog poop bags, nice water spigot for fresh water for your pup. Benches to sit on and a shelter to protect you from the elements. The small dog side is especially nice and shady in parts on a hot day. A few obstacles like tunnels and ramps if your dog is into that. Overall a great little spot!

My parents have taken their dogs here for years. Its really a beautiful park. They have a small and large dog area (small dogs can go to the large dog area too). Theres a water fountain for dogs and humans too. The regular park area down the hill is currently under construction, but that doesnt effect the dog area much to at all.

Theres a group of about five dog owners who act like the park is theirs and their pets only. They let their dogs jump on my dog and when she wasnt happy about it and growled they immediately started with oh they all get along and she better not get out of line or my dog will put her in her place. And not one of those animals had a tag on.

So far so good. Ive been there 3 times only and theyve all been positive experiences for my puppy of 4mnths. Its a very spacious area, one side for smaller dogs. It appears that everyone picks up after their dog. Looking forward to the next visit.

It’s a nice dog park not too far from my house. It has running water for the dogs and a nice size area for the dogs to run. My dog loves going. Only issue is that even though most often the people that go to the park are good with their dogs, there have been two occasions, ( once today) when two different dogs became aggressive with my German Shepherd puppy unprovoked. I do not blame the dogs however I do blame the owners when their dog attacks and/or bites and they do nothing to leash and remove their dog. Today I was told by the owner, “he’s just establishing dominance” and “ if you don’t feel comfortable, you can leave”. SHE should have LEFT or at least leashed her dog after he attacked mine twice. I’m sure she would have felt differently had it been my dog going after hers unprovoked. Just keep in mind that much like parents of children you get the types of owners that never think their “child” is wrong which always creates problems. Just read the damn rules!

Big dog side get quite muddy so thats something to be aware of, but thats a decent trade off for having running water. Big area for running. Plenty of toilet bags. Well kept. This is one of my favorite dog parks!

A lovely, inviting, spacious environment for you and your pup! We go every week (live out of town) and enjoy it so much! Nice and clean, too.

I have a coonhound and a boxer/pitbull mix and they enjoy themselves so much! I wish they had a better draining system for the kiddy pool they have because there is so much mud lol but other than that I love this park for my pups!

Good place to bring your dogs, but the ground gets pretty soggy after a storm so I wouldnt go after a big rain storm...wait until its nice. Water available for your dog, and like a little park with playground type stuff for your dog to play with

Nice place for a gathering!2 covered seated areas with several grills, 1 pool, clean bathrooms by the pool, pond. The park is not too big, clean and nice. Not sure why Google map only point you to the dog park

I liked the park, fenced and good space, however all dog owners need to pick up after their dogs. Ive been there 5 times and Ive only seen 1 incident of dog poop left behind. Lets just say that slowed my visits.

Plenty of room to play. There are two areas for small and larger dogs. Bring water as it is turned off I guess for the winter. Nice park. Wear boots, a bit muddy.

Great places to take your dog I would be careful after it rains it does the to get some large puddles. Some dogs love it but I dont think the owners are too happy to take a wet dog home.

Nice open spaces, clean. Our dog loves it here. Theres actually 2 dog parks separated by a fence. One for small dogs and one for the large ones.

Near my parents house, which is perfect for when we visit with our pup! He had a BLAST! Wonderful size and had a water spout!

It good for your dog and not one more mile down there is a children park and also a pool thats good because you take both kids and pets .

You get a nice view of the lake/pond, pavillions, and the playgrounds from all the way up there.

Open 8am until disk daily. Always had a good experience there. The park is usually clean and well maintained.

Its been covered in snow but nice sized dog areas, and one of the fenced areas is reserved for tiny dogs.

Wonderful clean wide open spaces for dogs. They can play with other dogs..and they run and run and run...Its a happy place.

This place is ok. Some people are horrible with their dogs. If your dog is aggressive please dont bring it around other dogs or people. And follow the rules on the parks board.

Nice park to chat with people while the dogs romp around. Kept clean and well maintained.

Just leave when you know who comes with their pit bulls, otherwise theyll give your dog a hematoma on its ear and not even apologize. Space is great in dry weather, with many social dogs that visit. Unfortunately many undisciplined owners visit as well.

Great place to walk. It connects to the park below through a small trail down the hill in the back.

If your a gymnast this park has 2 high bars that can be used as strap bars! I did some giants on one of the high bars.

This is a new dog park located in the Maple Hill Park area. Very nice and comfortable for the dogs and the owners. I go early in the morning and have not encountered any crowded days. My Golden loves the place and so do I.
