Dr. Julie is the kindest and most caring vet I have ever met! We have been bringing all of our pets to her. She genuinely cares for every pet. She is so gentle, thorough and knowledgeable. Words don’t do her justice for how amazing she is! Here are some cute pics of the kitties that she has seen!

I want to give Dr. Davis 100 stars! My 18 yr old cat DJ turned ill these last 2 days and I had to get assistance by a good vet. I came across Garden City Park and they had excellent reviews. They took DJ in last minute, which not many vets do.Dr. Davis was honest with me and said that unfortunately my cat had to move onto her next life. Dr. Davis walked us through everything and allowed us to take our time with DJ. She made her very comfortable and everything was peaceful. Thank you Dr. Davis. You truly made this heartbreaking day much easier for our family ❤️ Please take your furry family members here if you want the best care!

I love the doctors, DrB is wonderful and all the assistants are special folks. They take very good care of my little Molly. Dr B diagnosed my dogs problem right on and sent us to a very skilled surgeon in Oceanside. Our Molly is fine today, her leg heeled fast and we r so happy. So we recommend them highly

We came to Garden City Animal Hospital on the recommendations from a close family friend. It was a Great visit. The Dr and her assistant were very calming and spent an unusual amount of time to get to know my Boxer. They played with her and gave her alot of treats. I cant believe a place like this was hidden from us for so long. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

This place is the best!!….the staff is super helpful and go above and beyond to help you and your pets. The veterinarians take their time to fully assess your pets and make sure all questions and concerns are answered. You will never feel rushed. We are so happy and pleased with GCPAH. We are so grateful and appreciative of the amazing care and love we always receive from Dr. Julie and the entire staff while treating our French Bulldog Ginger. The office staff is always professional and very knowledgeable. Our vet Dr. Julie is a life saver to us. This office is busy however you are never rushed. Dr. Julie always takes her time with Ginger and us as well. She’s very very thorough and without a doubt has been spot on with diagnosis’s and treatments. Our pets who I might add are part of our family and loved beyond words.. with that said.. we have been with this group for many, many years .. all the doctors as well as their assistants have always shown exceptional care and concern..and have demonstrated a genuine interest and treatment for each of their medical issues.. whether minuscule or monumental.. there are certain people who work within the group who NEED to be acknowledged.. her name is Elona.. she has the MOST incredible customer service skills and always will go above and beyond to insure that all our concerns and questions are directly communicated accurately to the doctor .. for the person who is her supervisor..they have much to be proud of for her great work ethics .. please give her all the accolades she deserves ..always a pleasure to visit you all!

A good friend of mine who runs an animal rescue recommended Dr B to us for our dog who was having chronic stomach issues. We were very happy with her help and diagnosis. Our pup is doing much better now.

When my cat fell ill with a dangerously high fever, Dr. B came through. She was able to fit me in when others could not, and was amazing. Caring, patient, compassionate, and realistic with what my cat needed to get better. While explaining treatment options, she literally hugged my cat. I instantly knew I had found a new vet for my cats. I can’t thank her and her staff enough for coming through for my little girl. She almost instantly felt better and is now just about back to herself. Thank you Dr. B!

Lets say ive been here 20 times. Leaving happy 12 or so times is not the best ratio. But when my cat was on deaths door almost a year ago, I went 3 times in about a week & they helped me nurse her back to help. I didnt think itd be AS BAD as it was, but of course Im not a vet, and they let me know the deal & we came out on top.Fast forward to RIGHT NOW, and my cat is once again all but gone, with the amazing luck of the worst day being yesterday. 4th of July, almost everywhere closed or much shorter hours. So now she, and I, have suffered over 24 hours & I call them today to schedule an emergency appt,& honestly, euthanasia.Not only did the 1st person I speak to act like I called to get her in for a claw clipping, but the attitude while saying Ok well call you back, was like she didnt hear my crying voice as I said I believe its finally time.Much to my shock, they called me just a short 10 minutes later, with the same who really cares, man?, attitude with which she spewed out yeah we cant do that today, maybe tomorrow, orrr....?, has incensed me to a place no person should ever get to. I am a long time patient, coming monthly for almost a year to pick up meds, so notes should more or less tell them sick cat, not such a long term solution, needs more frequent follow ups.And its not like Im asking them to save my cat, because as a pet owner, YOU KNOW, &whats more, u want the suffering to end. Lets face it, Im asking them to please let me come in so u can kill my pet....Ive never been so insulted, dumbfounded, enraged, and left to felt to unimportant & insignificant in my entire 46 years. This result & attitude is tantamount to a slap IN MY DYING CATS FACE, let alone a recurring patron.I understand the last minute of it all vs appointments, but a morsel of empathy? A slightly HUMAN streak of noble duty to squeeze in a patient & their sick cat to just humanely end the pain, at SOME POINT today?Is there not an oath taken by a vet? No seriously, because I know while not a human doctor who takes the Hippocratic oath, there must be SOMETHING that they vow upon to treat these animals lives like they matter.You know how it felt actually? Like I called them to speak about saving on their long distance calling bill, as they nonchalantly brushed me off & said well, thanks for your years of patronage and money, but since wed be killing the source of your money towards us goingf forward, you can go find elsewhere to find solace in you & our feline patients ultimate time of need.This isnt the 1st time that Ive had to deal with a loathsome robot over the phone there, but at least the doctors stepped in and reversed their programming, but now? NOW, as she continues to wither away and DIE, you brush us off like Im trying to clean your windshield outside of the Holland Tunnel?Shame on you, beyond what you THINK I feel towards you all right now, you cold blooded, remorseless OGRES.The attitude I received tells me you care not in the slightest what one hurting man feels at this time. But WHEN this doesnt go away, and gets sent over and over again, maybe youll have a fleeting moment of humanity WHEN News12 knocks and shoves a camera and mic in your face, exposing the majority of emotionless brutes you employ to work your phones.I will FINALLY reiterate that 2 doctors especially do not display this attitude and have helped, and SHAME ON ME for not remembering their names, but I can pick them out of a lineup of 500, as they helped my heart once before in ways I cant describe. I just hope they are not the ones who are basically relaying the message of no time, tell him to go have his loving gentle cat murdered elsewhere.Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.This WILL NOT be a one and done moment. GCPAH WILL be exposed for this painful act.And if this is read, dont bother addressing it or reaching out for damage control. The damage is already done & immediately irreversible.

We have been using Garden City Animal Hospital for the last 18 years…Dr. Julie, Dr. Dattner and Dr. Silverman, when he was there, took care of our Pomeranian, Max.Last week we had to let Max go to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Julie and her staff made the crossing very gentle and caring.Thank you again…

Garden City Park Animal Hospital holds a very special place in my heart. About 7 years ago, my Maltese got out while we were getting some work done on the house. She strayed about 1 mile and ended up getting hit by a car. Luckily some construction guys saw her and brought her to this hospital. She ended up with a broken jaw with some other injuries but they nursed her back. Doctor Silverman was our primary for the next 6 years and always helped us in a professional and compassionate way. Last week was our final visit with Dr. Silverman. Our Dahnbi lived a long 14 years and we will forever be greatful for GCPAH

We have been going to Dr. Julie at GCP AH since our dog was a puppy. We feel so lucky that we happened to have an appointment with her when he needed to be seen for the first time because we feel like we found the best vet! She is so caring and he absolutely loves her. Whenever he needs to go to the vet we tell him hes going to get to see Dr. Julie. We feel like he likes going because she always made those early appointments so enjoyable for him. We have always been able to get in to see a vet when weve needed to and we love that we can also go to Mineola AH when necessary. Highly recommend this practice and especially Dr. Julie!

It was our first visit and Dr. Hargrave was just wonderful with Oscar, who tends to be aggressive towards strangers. He calmed him down and gave me very succinct instructions and advice. We will be bringing our new puppy, which we will be receiving from the breeder in February, here. The office staff was extremely helpful, too!

My elderly dog wasn’t able to walk, her hind legs were collapsing, and she was shaking. Dr. Julie squeezed us in, the people answering the phones were polite, concerned, and immediately responsive. At the hospital, the people at the front desk were friendly and professional. When my dog was brought in, I was so relieved and the care she received was stellar. She’s walking around the house now once again like she owns the place, and we are so grateful.

I have been on the hunt for the longest time now in search for a primary vet for my fur babies. And trust me, Ive tried a handful. We worked with Dr. B, and she is amazing, very personable, friendly, and helpful. You can tell she loves what she does and I trust her completely with my babies. Wait time sometimes can be more than 10 mins but thats not a big deal. Scheduling appointment can also be pretty easy and not having to wait 2 weeks out. That was a major thing for me. I am also referring this place to my friends!

Our doggies have been seeing Dr Dattner since they were little babies!! GCPAH always tries so hard to make them comfortable, are so responsive after appointments and for follow up ! They have always given us good medical advice and make sure we are comfortable ❤️

These professionals saved my dog’s life. We spent hundreds of dollars at another vet and was told my dog would never walk again. My dog is alive and healthy 6 months later since these place helped us manage his diabetes. No long waits!

Dr. Silverman is hands down the best vet we have ever worked with. Our Golden Leo just adores him and the entire staff. When you are visiting, you feel how much the care and love your pet. I know we have a vet for life here and highly recommend looking to them for any veterinary needs you have!

I have been taking my girls to Dr. Silverman for over three years now and have to tell you he is the most caring, loving, considerate, attentive doctor that I have met. He and his staff are incredible. I wouldnt dream of going to anyone else. As a matter of fact I wish my husband and I could get treated by him too. Awesome!!!

My pets are my babies so when they require medical attention, I want to feel like they are being cared for by someone who loves animals as much as I do. My cat needed an emergency spay due to a terrible infection and I took her to GCPAH as a recommendation from a colleague. I really am happy with the service they provided. The staff was beyond friendly from setting up the appointment, calling me with an update after her surgery, during pick up when my cat was discharged (she was spayed during COVID so everything was contactless), and even calling me to see how my cat was doing the following day. I understand this is all standard procedure but the team seemed genuinely invested in this field and I am grateful. Needless to say I stopped going to my original vet because they were charging A LOT more and were not nearly as compassionate Garden City Park Animal Hospital.

I own a local dog grooming biz and i have sent dozens of my clients to go see Dr Silverman... and i feel 100% confident in doing so. After hearing so many complaints about bad experiences at other vet offices...pets being mis-diagnosed, over charging, unnecessary procedures, the whole 9...and every single one has come back to thank me and tell me how much they liked him and how happy they were. The feedback i hear the most is that he truly cares about the animals, hes not pushy, he explains everything in detail so they can understand it, and he gives them options. He is the best of the best in my opinion and i would never send them anywhere else!

I called for an appointment for my dog. I was told to call back on Sunday morning to come in and that they had plenty of appointments you just have to book it on Sunday and they allow the owner to go in with the dog. I called first thing Sunday morning and was told that they will not allow me to go in with my dog. After getting misinformed from “the new girl” the previous day at the front I was told “oh well”. I had already canceled my appointment at another vet for Monday which is no longer available to rebook. I spoke with Dina and Shene and they were both rude. Usually Vets love animals so why put an animal through the stress of being dropped off on a curb. When you’re dropping your dog off curbside and the owner is not with the dog what they do is have a vet tech treat your dog instead. A clients daughter of mine works in the vet. For an emergency situation this is ludicrous. I would never go back or refer someone to garden city park animal hospital ever again.

Dr. Gary Dattner and staff are phenomenal! You can tell that they really care and go up and beyond to help you out and explain all of your pets needs. They go up and beyond and we are more then fully satisfied. Very happy to have found this vet.

Cant say enough good things about this office! I travel all the way from West Islip to go to this office and I couldnt be more pleased, HONESTLY! The whole office is so super friendly, EXTREMELY accommodating, and have never felt so confident with the care my babies receive. I have a super reactive pitbull which they allow me to wait in the parking lot until my appointment and than allow me to enter through a separate back entrance to make it less stressful for all of us. Once and a while when I have an emergency they have gotten me in immediately and have given us the best guidance in available treatments to know whats the best course of action to taken in any given situation! they work extremely hard and are truly genuine! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy veterinarian office!

As a local mobile groomer, I had a hard time finding a veterinarian that had the same passion and care for animals that I have... But when I met Dr. Silverman and his staff I was finally pleasantly surprised and amazed.. he diagnosed my toy poodle Pixie and helped her when many vets could not.. he truly pays attention to everything about your pet and does not give up where many have. I love GCPAH. Dr. Silverman is my favorite doctor ever. My dog has a chronic illness which brings me in every month for a shot. I always feel she is well taken care of. I’ve had to bring her in for emergencies and they always accommodate her. I recently moved and am sad I can’t take her here every month anymore. Highly recommend Dr. Silverman

Wasabi has been going to see Dr Denton and Dr Silverman and other staff for almost 13 years now and hes doing great! Mugzzi has been doing regular checkups there for about nine years now and also doing great! Very professional and very kind staff. No complaints whatsoever ever...

I use one of the GCP sister hospitals regularly for my cats. Although I been to GCP for other cats - my Indigo was not a regular patience here.He became very ill at the end of January with a very aggressive form of cancer. He was put on palliative care. There where times when the other hospital was closed and he need care GCP staff and doctors took care of him with open arms. They where kind and compassionate to my family. He started declining on Thursday night and I hoped he would pick up his eating and movement again he did not. As Saturday night passed (I was up with all night with my baby boy he was 4 1/2) it became clear I would need to put him to sleep. I called them in the morning I told them I wasnt sure he make it till 12:30 Maureen said then come right over we will fit you in. I can not thank all the staff enough for the kindness and compassion they have show Indigo and I. RIP my baby boy. Thank you doctor Silverman

Usually we see Dr. Dattner, but we needed a quick visit, which led us to seeing Dr. Julie Vasilyeva.I gave 5 Stars for Dr. Dattner, he is amazing. The only Doctor we trust!! Always friendly and thorough.If I could give stars based on which Doctor we have seen, then Dr. Julie Vasilyeva would get negative stars. She was rushed, insensible, unintellectual, immature, and RUDE. Dogs get sick, it happens, hence why we have veterinarians. Some reasons are unexplained. Our dog was sick, and her demeanor was as if she was shaming us. As if the dog being sick was our fault and that we were terrible owners. Let me say, we love our dog and take such good care of him. It was extremely rude of a Doctor to act that way. Doctor Dattner would never have acted that way. Shame on her. Horrible addition to the staff!

Dr. Gary Dattner has been my Veterinarian since 1991, and for the past several years, adding Dr. Joey Silverman and Dr. Jennifer Steiger to my Veterinarian Team, they are the only ones I place my complete trust. With my own family dogs, all of the dogs I rescue and re-home and even my outdoor cats, they are truly a part of my life. Their combined talent is by far the best. They work with me, and we make decisions together on the care and treatment of my pets and those dogs in my rescue organization.I highly recommend them and they are the reason I drive from Babylon to New Hyde Park. Distance has no measure for the right care for my 4-legged family members.

Had an emergency with my cat, which was misdiagnosed by the VCA Emergency Vet in Westbury, and he continued to become increasingly ill during the following day. I called GCPAH on a Sunday and was surprised that they were able to squeeze my cat in. Dr. Julie saw him, diagnosed the infection, and treated him within 45 minutes. She also phoned a few days later to check in on how he was doing. I appreciated all of the GCPAH staff who took care of my sick kitty, and will continue to bring him there.

Super friendly staff. Understanding and very helpful. Mary, one of the assistants, in particular, is AMAZING. I rescued my pit/boxer baby when she was a puppy from an abusive home. Ever since she has been very stranger aggressive and very over protective of me. I was sooooo scared to bring her to the vet...afraid she would bite someone or just bug out in general. GCPAH gave me a sedative to give her and have a private entrance for difficult dogs like my lil monster. Mary was the BEST. She was great with Rye....the first stranger Rye hasnt growled or barked at. I was a wreck the whole visit crying. Mary was sweet and answered all my questions and gave me so much information about how to move forward. She took an experience I was dreading and scared of and so upset about and actually made it a positive one. She rocks.

If I could give Dr. Julie 10 stars I would. We have been looking for our longtime vet for so long and we absolutely found her. She is so kind, caring and makes you feel so comfortable. She reassures you when youre doing the best you can and is so kind to our dogs. We recently lost one of our dogs and she was so calming and compassionate. Now we bring our other dog Minnie to her, and will bring all future pets to her. Thank you so much Dr. Julie you are the best.

Both of my dogs have received excellent care from the staff & vets at Garden City Park Animal Hospital. My girl Shelby has had multiple health issues since being run over by a SUV in May 2011. She has had 2 ACL surgeries which were performed by Dr. Dattner. She was walking without any evidence of a limp 2 weeks after each surgery. She has had other health issues which have been quickly assessed whenever I call to seek help for her. My girl Daisy always goes to Shelbys appointments to keep her sister company. The staff is incredibly caring to both of my girls which means a lot to me!

Everyone in every VETS location is the BEST in the business. I recommend them to every animal owner I know. Dr. Dattner, Dr. Pellegrino, Dr. Santora, Dr. Silverman - and all the other veterinarians and the Vet Techs, reception staff - EVERYONE - is amazing. Theyre caring, knowledgeable, understanding - all of your concerns are addressed, all of your questions are answered and you always feel welcome. They speak with you and not at you and I really appreciate that. You will fall in love with them after your first visit.

GCPAH is the best! They saved both my dogs life. My puppy contracted lepto and my 13 year old has cushings and Yuliya Bashkatova is the best ever. She makes herself available via email to answer any questions when your animals ill and the entire staff are so devoted and the animals feel the love.

Amazing people working there, they actually care about the animals rather than the money, absolutely love them

They generally care for your pet. Everyone not just the doctors. Love them.

Covid19 protocols are great. Docs take good care of ax animals.

Great service and knowledgeable staff, parking lot is better than most vets who only have street parking.

We were referred by a friend. Best referral so far when it comes to our pets. Our 9 week old kitten hurt her leg and we called one vet who basically said it was more than just a sprain and we should be prepared to “get rid” of our kitten. Dr. Silverman was kind and informative. I left and immediately the knots in my stomach disappeared. Our kitten is already feeling better and we are at ease. We will definitely be visiting with any of our veterinarian needs ♥️♥️

Mr. Calabash is old and started having issues. I called my groomer for a Vet (LIPuppy love) and they highly recommended this place. Saw Mr. Calabash same day! And then again 4 days later. Fabulous people Doctors and staff.Not a second thought using them.

Dr. Julie Vasilyeva is AMAZING. Unfortunately when we decided to go to GCPAH our pepper was an old pup and there was not much we can do for him. Dr Julie explained to us our options and sadly we had to euthanize him. She was informative, helpful and very comforting through the whole process. Me and my family cant thank her enough. You can tell she is very passionate and cares about how she treats her patients and her patients family. I will be taking both of my cats to GCPAH to see Dr. Julie Vasilyeva.

This place is always hard to book an appointment. Staff is rude on the phone and trying to rush you on the phone. Finally got an appointment but it will be my last. Cant never go inside so who knows what they are doing or what to believe
