Really great staff. I am a helicopter doggy daddy. They have done a great job caring for my girl when I need occasional daycare. Very clean and well kept facility. Really great rates too.

Had a very good first time experience. My 100lb Euro Doberman who is definitely ahandful, he looked good and was acting normal after a 5 day stay. He got a bath prior to us picking him up, he looks and smells good. 👍🏻👍🏻
Been boarding our dogs here for years, they always take amazing care of them. Our boxer Brandy does not like most people but loves the staff. Everyone there obviously loves animals.
The staff is super friendly & helpful the two gentlemen that handled my dogs were amazingly kind I am always apprehensive leaving my dogs they all made me feel at ease when I left them & reaffirmed when I picked them up!
We have been bringing our dogs for boarding for many years. Always wonderful, professional treatment. Everyone truly cares for you pets and they come out looking well taken care of. Our dogs actually look forward to going! Groomer is wonderful as well.
We have brought our pup in for daycare, grooming, and boarding… he always comes home happy and handsome! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and he is always happy to see them when I drop him off, which speaks volumes!
We have been using the Animal Center for 3 years now. Donna and the staff are great. They take good care of our dog. He never hesitates to get out of the car and go in when we leave him for his stay.
I am new to Long Island and was referred to NSAC through a mutual pet owner. Today I took my 4 year old golden, Rosie (who can be very rude when she is groomed), in to get groomed by Beth, and she did an incredibly amazing job with my dog.Not only is my dog nervous at the groomer, but she has tons of fur as a golden. Beth worked through the difficulties of my dogs fears and she has never looked better after getting groomed. These are amazing, kind, people at this practice who truly love animals and will take great care of your pets as if they were their own. The only place I will ever bring my dog for vet services, grooming & boarding from now on.
I have two big nervous doodles & they (and we) absolutely adore Grayce!! They always look amazing after a grooming & you can tell she LOVES dogs. Jackie is another rockstar who expresses their anal glands. Both are so thorough, careful & gentle with our furbabies. Wouldnt go anywhere else!
They sent us photos of him and always kept us updated on how he was doing.my wife lost her phone unfortunately but they had sent many photos of him ,and he looked like he was comfortable in anew place that he never was.
Great experience for both myself and the puppy on first boarding.Another great experience with the team at NSAC. They were able to fit us in at the last minute on a very busy week. Thanks!
Staff were caring and competent. Our Lulu was well taken care of for 2 weeks while the family was away on vacation. Thanks to a great team of doggie specialists for taking such good care of our four-legged family member!!
My current dog has always had a bad energy whenever we have given her to the Animal Center for boarding, but this time we are definitely looking for other boarding places when we travel for good. After a week of boarding at North Shore, we noticed that our dog was coughing and was extremely lethargic. We later found out that she had contracted kennel cough, but we had to really convince North Shore vet (sister building) that our dog was NOT okay and to really check her.Our dog is doing better now but this isnt the first time our dogs have contracted something from North Shore, despite having all of their shots and check ups (as is required by North Shore before you can board your pet. usually they ask for your dogs shots papers but this time they never bothered to ask, which leaves me concerned that they never asked other dogs for their shots papers). Our previous dog had the same kind of uneasy feeling of going to North Shore, and one time after boarding there for a few days, he had also contracted kennel cough and eventually passed from it. We didnt know what it was at the time because it was our first experience of it, but he had the exact same symptoms of unnatural wheezing and extreme lethargy. It is also concerning that we arent able to look at the actual boarding kennels, and have to pay 1.5x extra for play time and a video camera to see our pets. It leaves my family to believe that they truly put money over caring for the animals first. Their technology is also extremely behind, to the point where they have lost our boarding paper work multiple times (simply because its not on a computer and on a punch card instead) and have given us anxiety that there was something wrong with our pets. And the fact that you have to call for their prices as opposed to a website is very unprofessional.Only reason that this isnt a full 0-1 stars is that the grooming is top notch there. we have taken our current dog there a few times and she has always felt and looked really confident and happy after. But please, I beg you please do not board your pets here or you may risk your pet contracting something life threatening 🙏
Clearly our dog was happy to be there. Nice people; reasonable charges.
Have been using them for all boarding needs for my 50 lbs labradoodle. She is well taken care of and seems like she has made some friends there as well. Friendly staff.
I hated that I couldnt take my 7 month old puppy on our family vacation, but Donna, Doug and Gloria took wonderful care of her. They indulged my need to know how she was doing and sent me frequent updates.I will always prefer to have my dog with me, but if I am not able, I feel comfortable that shes in good hands at North Shore Animal Center.
Grayce is the only groomer I will ever take my dog to. She’s the best and always has my pup looking like a million bucks. Thank you Grayce!!!
My puppy was 7 months and fully vaccinated. When he went in, hed never been sick, ever. After 4 nights there he developed kennel cough. As I understand, the kennel wasnt even full during the time he was there. The weather was great, he should have had plenty of fresh air and outside time, but he still caught something. Either they are maintaining sub-par hygiene or arent giving the animals as much fresh air as they said. Or both.In addition, most of the employees seemed friendly and accommodating but there is one particularly sullen employee who was very unpleasant to deal with. He was very short with me when I called to check on how my puppy was doing.I wouldnt recommend this kennel to a friend and I wont be using it again. It was an unpleasant experience.
My Rosie is not social and was a rescue just spent a week here. If she could talk Im confident she would say this is a fun place. Snacks, running, spa day. Fun. I use them for grooming also. Great place with great people. Inexpensive.
A great place to board your dog while on vacation. They have indoor- outdoor kennels so your pet is free to lay outside. They take very good care of their guests. They are associated with North Shore Veterinarian who are now into their 3rd & 4th generation of veterinarians.
Whenever we drive up, my dog is always so excited to go inside. The staff is wonderful.
When we travel, which is quite often. We put our beloved family member Dover in this facility. He comes home happy to see us, but we know he was never neglected. They groom and bathe him too. Hes always excited to be dropped off and see some old friends.
My dog gets super excited when we drive up to the Animal Center. She really enjoys her time there. However, they did lose my leash, which is why I cant give 5 stars.
What a wonderful place to bring my Milo! The staff was so loving and caring! Such piece of mind leaving him there!
Staff took excellent care of our Rottie for the week!
Went to a pet adoption event. Found a dog we liked but they never called us or our vet about the dog who was very skinny and needed a family to love and take care of her.
Wonderful experience and advice about my cat
My husband brought our cat there for 7 day, she came back dirty, smell of urine all over all body. She was throwing up when she got home , and pee on our kitchen floor which she never does. We have to bath her ! So disappointed! We taking our business somewhere else. I don’t think they took care of our cat at all.
Boarding is great and grooming is fantastic. Ask for Beth for grooming. Great place in Northport.
They took excellent care of my dogs and even texted me to let me know how my babies were doing. And the prices are more than reasonable.
Two of the best groomers around! Kind caring staff that takes great care of the animals! I highly recommend!
Excellent service, dogs were happy and content!
They always take great care of my dogs
Been going there probably 20 yrs. All diff breeds of dogs. My animals come home just as happy n healthy whether they are seeing the vet, boarding or just grooming. Staff are true animal lovers. 💕
They review the medication and vaccinations for your dog very thoroughly
Great service. Very good managementThey take good care my dog
The best dog grooming around. Our Bernese Mountain Dogs come back looking and smelling like new.
Doctors and staff are great here!!! Very caring, very accommodating.
They are awesome with our dog. An extension of our family
Bring my westie and great service. They also groom
I have never been there but I heard good services offered by them.
As much as I want to give a good rating I cannot. My dog got kennel cough 3 out of the 4 times hes been there :-( And the vet bills were no fun either. They need to make some serious changes.
Love goat yoga. So much fun
