Pet Supplies Plus Watertown

This was a place we never been. It will now be one of our go to places. They are very dog friendly and very welcoming. We brought our two little pups in. We found a great selection of products, had a holiday picture taken. The staff are very welcoming and very friendly. If you have never been you gotta stop here.

The staff, products, and grooming service keep my dog Elana happy, healthy and good looking. I highly recommend Pet Supplies Plus for your pets needs. Btw, if you havent taken advantage of the grooming service, you owe it to your Pet to give it a go. I would also recommend Carlie, as she does an outstanding job each and every time with Elana.

I have been to Pet Supplies twice, and both times the team members have been amazing. Super helpful and knowledgeable. This last time Amber was super patient and took her time to help me find what I needed. She was awesome.

I take my little guy, Eli, to the Watertown NY Pet Supplies Plus. His groomer, Melissa, is exceptional! The entire staff is friendly, smiling and very helpful in so many ways. The collaborative way they work together is infective and shows in the way customers ALSO help each other. One couple was shopping for something special and free. They were examining the pups and checking out their names & attitudes. Why? to pick out a puppy and a Name for their unborn child. What a commendation!

They did Absolutely amazing on my girl and even put the cutest bows in her hair. Will be my go to from now on and the price was great as well.

The staff here, regardless of the day or schedule, are all kind and helpful. Also a very understanding staff given they deal with pets inside their store. The most extensive amount of food and accessories available anywhere in town.

I love this place they have a great selection and the animals seem well cared for, if you shop at Petco think about switching to Pet Supplies Plus the staff never seems bothered when I am in need of assistance which is a common issue I would have when shopping with their competitors!

Great grooming service, the girls there are so sweet and do an amazing job. My sweet Howl was so soft afterward and smelled amazing!

I have been going to pick up items for my very old kitty. Kate has been so great and so helpful when it came to my shopping for my kitty. Salem is 23yrs, and now has cancer. She prefers soupy to well blended foods. Kate helped me find pumpkin in can cand pouch form. Vitamin boosts. And powdered milk. So very thankful to have Kate at the store! She inquires after Salem every time I shop. Thank you!! Store is always clean, staff solicitous. Couldnt ask for more! Salem approved!

I use to come here a lot but I will not be returning back we had an appointment to get our puppy groomed at 3 pm with Mackena and got turned back all because he pooped and claimed it was” diarrhea” my pup was shaking because this huge dog was barking while we were checking him in. His poops were fine all week. I told her that and all she did was just stare at me. He was just in a loud environment that he is not used to with a huge dog barking and her yelling at us just trying to communicate. SMH so disappointed. Let me also add there was another dog getting groomed literally shaking that’s how bad that dog was barking

We Love Pet Supplies Plus! Everything we need for our furbabies at the best prices. The staff is always helpful and polite. The bathing area is always clean and well stocked with supplies. They have the best bakery treats for pups of all sizes. 10/10 would recommend ❤️

I had my dog groomed at this location for the first time today. What a great experience!Our groomer, Bailey, was so sweet, skilled and professional. She got the Schnauzer hair cut just right, and our girl looked so great when we picked her up!The best part? When we came to pick her up, I could hear them talking to our little pup with so much kindness, before they even saw us waiting. It really made me feel good know I’m leaving my dog in a safe, loving environment.My dog is also usually a bit traumatized after a groom, but she came home today completely happy and no signs of stress at all.10 stars! I couldn’t be happier with the services provided.

For all things pets, I recommend shopping here. Compared to your bigger chain pet stores like PetCo or PetSmart, these stores offer smaller yet more welcoming atmospheres. Due to their smaller size, they seem to be less crowded, giving employees more time to clean up and help customers. I typically come in here for live fish and fish supplies. The experience of purchasing fish is much more pleasant here than at the larger chains. The employees are always nearby, attentive, knowledgeable, and willing to give recommendations. However, the prices are not necessarily better than the other chains or superstores like Walmart, so don’t expect huge savings. They do offer a smaller selection of live fish, but I still find it’s worth to shop here than anywhere else.

Very clean, friendly staff, very knowledgeable and not afraid to ask another member if they are unsure. Great pricing, groomers are a great bunch, very caring. Love the self wash!

Clean staff is accommodating but our Mollies get sick and die everytime

Great people. They were able to squeeze us in for a grooming session at the last minute and assisted us on how to deal with a dog with diarrhea and sale questions. They were all very pleasant.

Loved the fact i could wash and dry easily.

The cashier knows more about the store then any other employee.

Love this place! They have a great selection of cat and dog food, toys and treats. Laid back and casual atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly and helpful.

It isnt bad the little treats at the front are great for dog big and small, though the dental treats are limited has a selection, the dog food is a bit steep priced compared to others but the staff is friendly and they do a good job.

We have a Jack Russell terrier who loves Carly! She is excellent at her job and is so loving to animals!

I absolutely love taking my fur baby here for grooming and whatever I may find for him to play with! Always willing to help with a smile and grooming always makes sure we are happy before leaving the store. My fur baby knows where he is and gets so excited to see them!!

We love the staff. Lots of variety of products. Prices are reasonable. We take our lab there for grooming and the staff are the best. Shout out to Hannah and the grooming team for making Ryder look and smell amazing!!!

I absolutely love this place! They do a great job in their grooming department. First place, Ive felt comfortable leaving my pup alone and coming back.

I have to say what a great place this it that I brought my 85 lb+ Dog to. I can not walk with him he pulls me off my feet..I explained that to the girl that fit me in to their busy schedule. They met me at the door and I cant tell you how grateful I am that it all went so smoothly. Definitely will be there again in 8 weeks.Sincerely, Pam Dinehart

The selection and prices are well in line with whats expected. The staff are young, immature, lack knowledge of products and distracted by each others company and cell phones. For all my small animal supplies (aside from dogs and cats) Ill go to Aqua Plus, local and smart. I guess this place is what should be expected from a big greedy chain.

Great place to come when you’re on a budget. I was able to get a couple extra things for a new toy with each dog which they all love. I came in to get a special brand of dog food and it was on sale. Awesomeness!

Ive taken my dog there twice now to be groomed. I only had one groomer before they opened up in Watertown and they do so much more. She got her ears cleaned, nails trimmed, and fur cut. She looked perfect as she came out and the staff is always supper friendly! Thank you all, definitely will be back soon.

Nice and respectable. Always helpful and keeps you updated on whats arriving. They have a good size dog wash station and a big variety of food for animals that gets updated often. They cater to reptiles as well for food and they sell reptiles. If you were to go anywhere animal related, go here. So glad they came to Watertown!

I have been bringing my dog here to have her nails trimmed for quite some time. I made an appointment to have them done again today. I drove 30 minutes into town. When I arrived I was informed that my dogs rabies certificate had expired last month. She could have called me ahead of time to tell me to bring her new certificate or told me when I made the appointment on the phone. She asked me if Id like to reschedule. NO THANKS!! I wasted over an hour of time and gas today. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!

I have recently become a regular here. We popped in just to look for catnip of all things since Chewy wanted steep prices and outrageous shipping for a tiny container. We found what we needed pretty handily and have since returned for a terrarium and live food for our new salamanders. It doesnt seem like much from the outside but is surprisingly nice inside. Very friendly staff as well.

Employees were very helpful! I went to Petco previously & always had to search for someone to help me. Love their dog toy selection. Also, my husband took our 70# lab puppy for a bath & nail clipping. She smelled so much better! And those scratchy nails were gone!! I am pretty sure hell be back!!!

I was super happy they had ferrets, but when I got home with the two I purchased, the baby girl was extremely lethargic and almost seemed dead. I had to give her water via a dropper to get her back on her feet. I brought her to the vet the next morning and he was shocked at how malnourished they are. I have them both on a special diet he prescribed to them to help gain weight. They also both had to go on antibiotics. They sell sick, malnourished ferrets. I am so happy that I got these little guys so they were no longer neglected by this store.

We LOVED the groomers at Pet Supplies Plus! Sierra is the sweetest, most helpful person, and our dogs loved her! They also have self service washing areas to bathe your dog, and they were always clean and well stocked.

The staff amazed me with their knowledge as it relates to proper health and diet for both my cats and dog. Wide selection, comparable prices, and fantastic customer service. Keep up the great work team!

I went over to ask if they have any info on what to do with an orphaned wild animal and they went above and beyond and referred me to someone who can take in wild baby animals. They also gave me advice on what to do in the meantime until I can transport it. They were very professional and helpful and did what they could when they didn’t have to. Thank you to the staff who helped me out.

Had my puppy groomed today. It wasnt exactly what I had asked them to cut. I thought they heard me when I said only little trimmings. I even showed them pictures on how I wanted his cut to look like. But when I picked him up I was surprised how short his hair was. A little disappointed, but Ill live lol. Ill just have to wait 3 months for his fur to grow back. Other than that they were great with him.

Ordered pizza for pickup they said 1/2 hour to get it arrived on time 1 hour 15 minutes later it was ready. Not even a busy night it was tuesday at 5 pm Would not recommend pepperoni was 2 slices per piece of pizza also. Very skimpy on the toppings place could be a gold mine if run correctly

Went in to wash my dog. Makes it so convenient and everyone is so friendly.

Made a purchase online for pickup, and they didnt have one of the items, but they still charged the full amount on my card. It took a full 2 weeks to see the difference refunded. Better to just go in and do your own shopping.

Very friendly staff. Also a great place to wash dogs! I have two medium-large dogs who make bath time a little challenging, was able to clean them both up here easily!

Walked in to a long line at the register. It seemed like only one person was working there and wasn’t a manager in sight. Disappointing to see people not working hard and leaving an employee alone. Line could have moved faster with more people available up front. Would give it a 0/5 if possible.

Just about anything you need for your pets from toys to food to snacks. Got little critters on site to buy and take home. Bring rover in and give him or her a bath and blow dry or bring your cat in for a bath and give everyone a funny show so stop in you wont be sorry.

Beware. Sales posted all over. But in very very small print it says with card. Didnt know until to girl at the register told me. I went back to look before paying. It took time to find where it said with card. You could tell the girl at the register was tired of telling people. Not even sure what kind of card theyre talking about. Credit card? Store card (that is normally free). If that is the case. Its even worse. We werent informed. So they either want to cheat people into bringing products up before telling them there is no sale. Or they dont care enough to train staff. Ill just go to the other pet store across the highway from now on. I hate to be deceived.

I always find it cheaper and more friendly than Petco or any of those chain stores. Prices are very reasonable. They also have cute pets.

Dont know about the pricing, if its comparable to other places, but they have everything for dogs that I could ever need. Used the self service dog wash area which is better than the other one in town.

My favorite place to get my dog foods and my dogs hair cut! They also offer a store discount for members and a military discount as well! Its always a great savings!

Staff was unhelpful as they were too busy socializing. I wanted to see the fish up close as I could not see them from behind the cordoned off area due to vision issues. I was told by staff that they could not offer further assistance. Ill stock my 75 gallon tank elsewhere. So much for shopping local and supporting small businesses.

Great prices and while Im signed up for rewards, I forgot about my email coupon, which they reminded me about.Excellent selection of small pet food and supplies. We can even buy in bulk!

Was pleasantly surprised to learn that it is cheaper to get all of my bedding, food, and hay for my guinea pigs here versus Petco! Super friendly and helped me right off the bat as soon as I walked in!

Its very well stocked but could use some much bigger dog beds if they havent already gotten some in. Staff welcomed us in upon entering the store. It feels more like a warehouse.

The girls in grooming are always so nice and love the dogs they care for.

Urine caked in the hamster wheels. The bathrooms were SO gross. The fish had dropsy. We were really shocked. There were a bunch of kids working there too...they were not short handed. Youd think one of them could go clean the bathroom or the poor animal cages.

The staff is very nice and they have a lot of high quality products. The doggy wash stations are a lifesaver too if you have trouble washing your doggos at home. Its a bit out of the way but totally worth it for all kind of pet supplies and treats.

Extremely unprofessional today 19 April I had a appointment for dog grooming at 0930 I drove 80 minutes (40 min one way 40 min back home) if your wondering why I had to drive back it’s because the store decided to put up a sign saying we are opening at 1100 does the management team know what a courtesy call is? Waste of my time never again will I go to this unprofessional place I’ll just take my money over to petco and let the professionals work pet supplies is a disappointment if you decided to take your pet to this place call in advance to make sure they didn’t decided to not open on time only good thing I got from this experience is a lesson learned never again.

Did an amazing job cutting and cleaning up my dogs hair. He was not super scared of the people and walked around after everyhthing was over. He loved it.

It is what it is. Need to wash towels in smaller loads. Always look dirty even after they are washed with tons of hair on them. We are going to start having to bring our own

We made a appointment got there early waited because they was grooming other dogs and the lady said that we had her reschedule because it was 10 after two and she said we did not check even though she seen us standing there with her dog was not happy with them At 2:30 she was still grooming a dog that was there before two

Being new to the area for work, I was looking for grooming service for my Yorkie. I happened to go into the store to see if they carry his brand of food and found that they not only offer grooming services, yet have a self-service area to wash your dog. This was great. In speaking with the grooming service, I expressed my concerns about my Yorkie and Brittney was very understanding and patient with him during his grooming appt. I have been very happy with Brittney, and Gizmo looks handsome when he comes back. The services are reasonably priced and my dog doesnt spend the entire day at the salon, approx. 2 hrs.

This store had quite a variety of aquarium products to choose from. They have a nice selection of fish and plants to choose from and the tanks are kept very clean.

Hannah did an AWESOME job handling and grooming our VERY energetic chocolate lab. His coat looks great and he was a happy camper after his first trip to be washed and groomed. She also helped us to find a few supplies we were looking for and even grabbed some co workers to help show me how to use a gentle-leader since pup is always pulling against his harness.

Just took my pup Stanley there for his groom. He is a 2 year old Brittany. Ive shopped here for a while now and have loved it! Store is always stocked well and the employees are very kind so i figured Id give the grooming service a shot.I do love the cut that he was given the length and look were spot on. I do know that my Stanley is very active and Im sure not the easiest to groom. After bringing him home I have noticed a couple small scabs on the back of his neck. I can only assume they were from the groom, maybe he was nicked slightly. I am a pretty understanding person but if the groomer is aware that they have slightly broken the skin I do just like to be informed for the future.

My fiance and I went in looking for items for a bearded dragon, and we had a couple questions. The staff member ( I didnt get her name) was so incredibly knowledgeable about bearded dragons it made us more excited to get it. She went above and beyond to answer any questions without making us feel like we were bothering her. She walked us through certain tank ideas that she recommends as well. They were all out of crickets for the bearded dragon, but she was nice enough to give me a coupon for next time. Highly recommend visiting this store 😊

We like going here. They seem friendlier than PetSmart and they usually have our specific dog food that we look for. We did use the dog wash one time. It’s a great set up. Our large dog was just a little overwhelmed. We may give it a shot again soon.
