Dogtopia of Latham

My pups love going to Dogtopia! We were greeted by Zack and felt so welcome. Im so glad I found a spot where my dogs feel safe and comfortable. At the front desk Zack made my dogs so excited for their day care. Its super important to me as a dog owner that my dogs are greeted with love and Dogtopia and their employees did exactly that. Excited to keep the relationship going and Im sure that my dogs will be excited to see everyone again!

I love so much about it! The facility is immaculate, the staff is amazing. I love that I can check in throughout the day on the video cameras and I love all of the little extras, like the cute little parties and treats! This past week I took advantage of the spa services and was pleasantly surprised at how fluffy and clean my girl was when I picked her up. Before coming to Dogtopia we tried a couple other daycares. This place is hands down the best!!

Very clean facility and nice staff. My dog is 8 months and super friendly with people other dogs and even children. When I brought my dog in for his meet and greet, rather than slowly introducing him to all the dogs, they inteoduced him to all 25 dogs at once and he got so scared that he failed his meet and greet. Makes me sad because it seemed like a great place but they really set my pup up for failure because they did that

Our dogs, Cello and Bene, have been going to Dogtopia for several months now and I don’t know who loves it there more, my boys or my husband and I! The facility is super clean, the different options they provide, the fun add ons to choose from each day and the AMAZING staff are amongst the many reasons why we love Dogtopia. I feel so secure when my boys are there and never worry about them like I would if they were somewhere else. Dogtopia for the win!

Promptness to requests for daycare, boarding, and any other services has been great ! Attentive service, friendliness of staff, and I feel comfortable leaving my dog there to play all day. They routinely each month have fun things for the dogs to do, which include special treats. There is a lot of thought and care that goes into these additional “perks” for the dogs. I know for my dog Cole it is a fun, safe and loving environment for him. I could not ask for more !

There’s so much to love about Dogtopia of Latham! The facility is so clean, has a great layout, and is warm and inviting for both dogs and humans. I love that I can check in on my puppy through the high quality webcam. Their mobile app is easy to navigate, I can book all of my appointments ahead of time as well. I love that from 12pm-2pm, the dogs get their own crate to eat lunch and take a nap while the rooms get a mid-day clean! Although Dogtopia is a franchise, Bobbie, Jay, and the staff have not made it feel like you’re just a “number” checking in and out, they still have that small town touch and they really care for the well being of the dogs. My Leon comes home fully HAPPY AND CLEAN! So happy to have a well-run facility like this in Latham :)

My pup had been enrolled in Dogtopia for just 3 days. That was enough for me. Although the facility is clean, the room coaches, not all, are not very attentive to All the dogs. They have their favorites. My pup did a lot of aimlessly wandering in a room with a black matted floor. Up to 20 dogs in the same room. Some clearly belonged in a more high energy environment. I witness my 10 month old puppy being toppled repeatedly by an aggressively high strung dog while the room coach mopped the floor over and over again. Absolutely zero intervention. I had to call and complain. The 2 hour crate rest time 12-2 pm, which I agreed with cameras are off during this time. Cameras back on at 2pm. I watched the room coach mopping the floor again. She didn’t let several pups out of the crate for 2 hrs and 38 minutes. Once again a phone call to speak with the owner Bobbi who tried to over talk my concern. I had to interject and firmly say, pull up the video. Unacceptable at best. The room has one plastic platform stair rest area for 20 plus dogs, no stimulation or other rest areas which aids to the aimlessly pacing. 2 water bowls for all dogs to drink from. The facility may be clean (constant mopping but no stimulation to the dogs) is not acceptable for the price you pay. $78.00 per 2 days plus the cost for treats. I could certainly keep by pup at home if I wanted him crated for 2 hours and 38 minutes. The whole purpose for enrollment was the hope that my dog would be socialized and learn some basic obedience skills. This, you will not find in the Latham location. Nor will you find very engaged, enthusiastic room staff members. Do better Dogtopia, do better.6-11-24 -Response to the owner. Just stop! There was no thunderstorm at 12 noon which is when you told me the bubble party was. Secondly, if I could post screenshots I would as I do have them. Absolutely zero solid waste noted on the floors. 2 water bowls for over 20 dogs. And if your protocol was to leave dogs in crates for extended periods, this should be brought to pet parent’s attention at the interview session. Calm pups?!?! My pup is the most docile pup you will ever meet, yet he was left in a crate for 2 hrs 38 minutes while the dog I called and complained about the FIRST time was rolling all the other dogs aggressively around the room was out of the crate while your room coach was mopping the floor for 38 minutes straight!! Again, stop. I am not the first person to make valid complaints. I guess we’re all wrong. Possibly you should hammer it home and really reiterate to your staff they’re being watched. Thank God you have cameras.

My dog had been going here for just over a year. He absolutely loved it. Very clean, friendly staff the whole 9 yards.Unfortunately, buyer beware. Watch your cameras! With a HUGE turnover in staff, there is a lot of favoritism. Also, staff doesn’t always treat your pet well! When things were good, they were very good.. There is also a HUGE turnover in the dogs that come and go as well.Very nice place… Just watch your cameras!There I’d definitely zero loyalty to those who have been there.. Buyer beware.If you don’t mind paying for a service that your pet is crated more than playing your all set.

I highly recommend considering Dogtopia of Latham if you are looking for a doggycare! All of the staff are nothing short of amazing. I was very nervous to start bringing my senior dog to doggycare, but did not have a choice due to his extreme separation anxiety. The staff at Dogtopia were quick to put all of my worries at ease. They treat my dog like he is their own and do their best to ensure that he is safe/has a good time. The staff takes great care to make sure the space stays clean which helps all of the pups stay healthy. I love that they have cameras in each of their play rooms so you can check on your dog throughout the day. Again, if you are looking for a doggy daycare where your dog will not only stay safe, but have a great time, look no further!

Very nice and clean daycare! I appreciate the snacks and outdoor/pool play time. Our dog, Ruby, is always so tired afterwards. I took one star off because they clearly show favorites when posting on their Instagram. I’ve never met Elvis the pug but I’m assuming he’s an employees dog because of how much he is posted. They seem to mainly post dogs in the city room or employees pups on their Instagram. Thank god for the cameras, otherwise I wouldn’t see any updates!! It might not seem like a big deal, but we have tried other daycares in the area who would post daily pics of every single dog! We still love the daycare and will continue to sign up our pup, just something I have noticed since joining in January 2023.

WE LOVE DOGTOPIA LATHAM! Everyone is so friendly and they take such good care of my dog, I couldn’t ask for a better doggy daycare! 12/10 would recommend

I am a huge fan of Dogtopia. The facilities are great, staff is excellent. Paige and Nikki are the absolute sweetest and nicest. They know my dog is leash reactive- they’re careful to ensure that the dogs are separated at drop off and pick up. The facility smells amazing always and so does my dog when I get him back. He’s always so excited to be there. There’s no other boarding place that has dogs play like they’re at daycare on the weekend or weekend pickup in my area. My dog gets to enjoy treats if I want, celebrate fun doggie holidays and enjoys a couple of hours of break-time where he can rest during a long day of daycare. It’s so good for him. All that with standard video access to the dogs during the day when they’re away. It’s a really great place!

Meet & greet was awesome today! Lulu was sad to leave! Very accommodating staff and owner, clean facility and extremely dog friendly.

I do not exaggerate when I say that I called or visited every dog daycare in the Capital area. Dogtopia is the place! Yes, they have clean, large, size/temperament appropriate spaces with cameras and fun activities. But the difference in my opinion is really the staff and the training. All of the staff clearly understand and love dogs. They are not trying to control or suppress dogs natural play, but they absolutely keep everyone safe and comfortable. They are tuned in to the dogs’ cues that the dogs provide to each other and are there to monitor, assist, and offer guidance and opportunities for education/enrichment. This is not your typical place :-) we are thrilled to have Willow there twice a week! And we know that she is happy and it’s a growth experience for her. Having boarding options is a bonus!

Disappointed. I loved bringing my dogs here. Friendly staff, great hours, fair pricing.Unfortunately one of my dogs got bit during daycare. I understand the risks of having large groups of dogs, so I just pulled both my pets to let the one recover and get neutered before coming back. (Their policy is over 8 months needs to be neutered and I was right on that line)However, the staff only paused one of my two memberships and when I noticed 8 weeks later, I had been billed over $800. I figured it was a simple mistake and, as I planned on coming back anyways, I figured as long as I get to use the time I paid for, everything was fine. The staff told me my money was gone and I could not use the weeks they had charged me for.I understand policy. I understand not wanting to give a refund. But I only wanted to use the service I had already been charged for! I planned on coming back and most certainly will not be now. I used to talk about this facility to everyone I met who owned a dog, and I still will. But the experience I talk about will be different.

Our dog Elvis is excited every day when we arrive at day care, is thoroughly tired after playing all day, and is treated like family while he is there. We are so happy that he has a place to be with other dogs while we are working, and that the staff is just as happy to have him there!

Dogtopia has been amazing for our dog, Lucy.We feel confident and comfortable leaving our dog there for both daycare and extended stays. You cannot put a price on peace of mind and the safety of your pet. Dogtopia has the nicest staff and leaves my puppy well socialized and exhausted by pick up time. Highly recommend this wonderful dog daycare!

The great thing about Latham Dogtopia is that Paige and the team make you feel safe knowing theyll care for your fur babies. Clean, dedicated, checking vaccinations, cameras to see your dogs experience. Dogs that are jumping to get in there, coming out tired and even smelling good. Love it!

Impressive facility. Extremely warm, friendly and caring team. We had looked at many options and this was not the closest or the least expensive option. However, it is the best at a fair price with the most caring team. Our pup is our child and I would not think twice about leaving him for care here. Our pup had the best time socializing with other pups, making friends, and came home well exercised, clean and happy. Thank you for providing this safe, clean and just amazing facility.

I highly recommend Dogtopia for anyone looking for a reliable and caring place to leave their furry friends. The staff are amazing and always go the extra mile to make sure our dog Carter is happy and comfortable. The entire Dogtopia staff is especially attentive and friendly. They treat Carter like their own and the webcams allow us to check in during the day. Carter loves going to Dogtopia and always comes home tired and content. The staff at Dogtopia Latham are so caring and helpful; the facility is clean and bright, the dogs are excited to arrive, its just an overall awesome place for dogs! And their pricing is flexible, they have fun activities and treats for the pups, and I love the convenience of purchasing a treat too!

Love the cameras! Very clean and organized facility. Super friendly staff that is very knowledgeable about the services offered and about the needs of the dogs in their care. Really good transparency about everything with billing/paperwork/signup and about everything that happens with the dogs inside the facility. This helps create a great feeling of trust and security for customers which goes a long way. Love the app! Scheduling is super easy and so flexible which is very helpful. My pup also looks so happy and at ease every time they bring her out for pickup so I feel confident that she is having a great time here :)

My baby girl Mocha has so much fun!! I know cause she comes home nice and tired. I also like I can watch mocha throughout the day and if I can’t I have someone watch as well which is a great option for us parents. However I do wish they left it on during lunch so I can evaluate if mocha is eating. But the one girl so far took pics of her eating. Thank you so much for that !! The owner is very patient and understanding with my needs and concerns and I have a lot. We came from being part of Pet Spas and suites w Tracy for over 15 years and she retired as of the new year for boarding so it’s been a very hard transition to find a place that’s even nearly as wonderful and hands on like her place. We been looking and going all over the whole capital region and we find that almost all places are dirty and the staff don’t care about the dogs it’s just a job not in it for the love of animals nor care one bit. But so far here at Dogtopia the owners are dog parents and love dogs !!!!! Being I am in the doggie care business myself for years and dogs in my care come first I’m hopeful this place will be the one for my Mocha. So far I met 3 staff members the girls were so sweet I forgot their names but very sweet. 3 days so far of daycre I will review down the road once she is boarding and in their care more in the upcoming months. So far we are very impressed!!

The staff is very friendly and courteous. They are great with my pup and remember her name. I spied on my pup this morning thru the app and was very pleased to see her being loved on almost every time she asked for it. She is a bit of a love hog! I also noticed that messes were cleaned up immediately and attention was divided between all the pups that were there.

Dogtopia is an absolute 10/10 recommend for doggie daycare and boarding. All the staff are so good to Gracie. Gracie really loves her cuddles for Jade. There are webcams available for each room so you can check in on your pup all day. The place is very clean and the dogs are mentally and physically stimulated all day. Thank you dogtopia!

Place is immaculate however staff does not interact much if at all with the animals. Very boring for the animals, walking around in a barren room while looking for attention and being ignored. Very sad for such a nice place.

Our boy Finn has so much fun every time he goes to Dogtopia. We know he is in great hands and well taken care of by the incredible team here! We could not be happier to have found a place where Finn feels safe and comfortable.

“Sorry it’s our corporate policy.” Most unhelpful response ever. I understand you need to evaluate the dog before introducing him to the group, but 3 days of daycare before boarding? What is this? College admission? Ridiculous policy and the owner is simply unwilling to work with pet parents.

I love everything! Great people who really care about our furry friends! It just gets better everyday. Enrolling our pup at Dogtopia was one of the best decisions we ever made, she absolutely loves it!

My dog has so much fun playing at daycare. Love how I can watch him enjoy his day by viewing the live webcam. Friendly staff, very clean, and you can tell they really care about the dogs.

Our dog, Petunia, goes here twice a week, and she always comes home exhausted. She loves other dogs, is ambivalent about humans, so this is a perfect place for her to socialize and sniff some butts. I can even watch her on their webcam, to see what kind of trouble shes starting. They offer lunch bowls, but we havent tried those yet.

We love dogtopia latham! Our basset hounds attend daycare once a week, and have been boarded twice. Its always stress free, they have fun, and theyre safe!

Just started my Rottie Girl Reeses there today! I love it! More important.... SHE LOVES IT! Got to watch her periodically on the spa thru the webcam... I SO would refer this doggy daycare, spa to everyone with a pup!Thank you to ALL the GREAT staff for making me and my girl comfortable!

Dogs are well cared for here . The coaches are friendly and kind.My dog is very happy and looks forward to going as soon as he realizes he is heading there . We will also be using them for our boarding needs .

Dogtopia is outstanding! Paige and her staff are top notch. The facilities are incredibly clean, all the dogs (and owners) are happy and it truly feels like a safe and special place to leave your pup to play. Cameras are a bonus…the playrooms are adorable, theme days and bubble parties too! 😂 These guys are the best! My Finn has even been better behaved and truly loves his time at Dogtopia! Thank you guys!

My doodle Mia has been going to Dogtopia now for a few months and being able to go here has greatly impacted her wellbeing. She’s so social, calm, happy and this all makes for a very happy human too! The staff welcome the dogs in so kindly and provide excellent service. So happy to have found them!

Best daycare in the area!

We recently pulled our 1 year old French Bulldog out of Dogtopia Latham, I wanted to write this review not to go after this business but to share our experience as to most of us, our animals are family and its important you fully trust daycares, boarding facilities, etc. I also wanted to make sure I wasn’t writing this review with overwhelming emotion so I waited a week to write and post this. (apologies, its long)Our intake experience at this location was amazing. My boyfriend and I met both of the owners and quite honestly that was a big part of the reason we signed Claude (our dog) up. They were great, so amazing with him, spent so much time answering our questions and showing us the facility, overall it was an awesome experience and we immediately signed him up for 3 days a week. During his intake they tested him in the room, sent him home with a little report card, it was adorable and made me feel really good about the facility. A couple of weeks into regular daycare visits Claude’s stomach flipped and quite frankly, he almost died. He had to have emergency surgery and had a very long recovery, it was devastating. I called Dogtopia, crying hysterically letting them know he was in surgery and I had no clue what was ahead. He was out for about a month and I thought it was very strange that no one ever called to check up on him, ask if he was coming back, nothing. (First red flag). When we called to reinstate him no one even asked how he was, it was like the whole thing never happened.When he was back at daycare I would constantly watch on the camera while at work. I noticed a lot of weird behavior from the trainers (2nd red flag); clearly favoring certain dogs, getting down on the ground and playing with some (as someone who has been to doggie daycares east coast and west coast this a huge NO NO) and most often I wouldn’t see Claude, bc he would be in time out. I thought it was odd that no one EVER brought this up to me when I would pick him up. I think its also important to mention the front desk staff seems to favor certain customers over others - the difference in reaction to us walking in vs. other parents was almost uncomfortable. There was a time I got home and noticed his food was still in his bag, the front desk staff told me he prob wasnt hungry - TRUST me, this dog is always hungry, they clearly forgot t feed him(3rd red flag).Claude was out for a few days as he had some stomach issues and had to go to the vet which resulted in meds - Dogtopia actually brought the stomach issues to our attention when he was picked up. When I asked what the policy was about him missing days I was told by the unfriendly front desk staff that we still had to pay but she would leave a note for the owner (I never received a call and later found out in a conversation with the manager that the message never even got to her). (4th red flag)After asking management why he was either crated or on a leash when I looked at the camera I was told he was “aggressive and over-stimulated” - I completely understand that no dog is perfect but the fact that this was NEVER communicated to me until I had to press for answers is completely unacceptable and quite frankly unprofessional. We have since pulled Claude from this facility - however we were informed that they “comped” us for his sick days which is comical.Net/Net, I simply think the issue here is this place didn’t like our dog and you know what, that is fine! But that fact that we FELT that every time we sent him there is not OK. I also think they just take too many dogs at one time, there was a day that I counted 30 in one room which is concerning.Important to note I still have not received any call from the owners.

My dog enjoys going to daycare two days a week. The facility is VERY clean and bright, which is different from many other daycares. I also like that the dogs are supervised at all times in each playroom. My only suggestion would be to either have more outdoor time or install some artificial turf in the playrooms so that there is a separate place to go potty apart from going on the floor. This will help to reinforce potty training at home. Ive seen other Dogtopias have some turf in the playroom, especially in the Beach room for the puppies.

Employees are friendly and all have a good attitude. Jake loves being there and playing with his friends

I don’t even know where to start! The most professional staff, so so clean and always feel comfortable leaving Ollie when we drop him off. Paige is on top of everything and even calls to check up to see how we are liking our experience with daycare! Top notch! Highly recommend!

The staff are so friendly and helpful and everything is so clean. My puppy Luna absolutely loves it here and has made so many new friends! As a first time puppy parent knowing that she is in a safe, clean, environment with people that care about her has calmed my anxiety and she has a blast every time!

Before choosing Dogtopia I visited multiple other local doggy daycares. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving her at any of them. When I walked into this one it felt so different. It was organized, clean, friendly staff and had a good energetic atmosphere. I was immediately comfortable. My dog loves it here and loves giving all the staff snuggles and kisses. I love being able to watch the cameras and see the instagram posts. She always comes home exhausted. It was a great choice for us.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Super clean facility. Happy dogs!! Took a great deal of time to answer my many questions.

Staff was absolutely fantastic, took the time to meet you and talk, give you a tour. They knew every dog walking into the building. They really built a lot of trust
