The dogs retreat is an awesome family run business that treat the dogs like family. They are all so loving and caring. Our 3 dogs love it there so much they whine the whole way there because they are so excited to go there for the day. They play and have fun all day long and the youngest 2 are asleep before we leave the parking lot. The only thing that comes to a close second is watermelon...lol. If you are looking to get a loving day care spot that also boards, this is the place to go. Our Small boys approve and highly recommend 🐾🐾🐾 The Adamis

Hands down the best doggy daycare around. I first started bringing my dog Kali to dogs retreat a few years ago, she LOVED going. The staff treated her like family until the very end, unfortunately my poor girl got cancer and passed. The staff members showed love for my Kali Till the very end and I’ll forever be grateful Kali had a second family at dogs retreat. I now bring my dog Saint, he started going when he was around 10 weeks old (maybe 12 pounds at the time) and now he is about 130+ pounds and almost 3 years old. He loves loves to go to daycare and They accept him with open arms . My bf and I are just so grateful!! I highly recommend this doggy daycare!

My Rosie just loves dogs retreat. She has been going there for over 4 years. They are like her 2nd family. They treat all of us like family especially our fur babies. They are all personable there. I cant say enough great things about them. Teresa the owner and her family are wonderful. Shawn is excellent, knows all the dogs by name and greets us every time.

My dog has health issues and there is absolutely no other place I would bring my baby. She takes several medications and the staff is right on top of everything. She truly loves to go there and pulls on her leash when she gets out of the car to get to the front door.Teresa the owner is the kindest woman and I can ABSOLUTELY tell you that she cares so much about the dogs. When you are a dog owner - you know! It’s a family run business. I cannot express how much I appreciate Teresa and her family for taking care of my baby bear when I go away. With her health issues I used to worry when I brought her to Camp Bow Wow - they definitely don’t care. My dog came home super sick and cost me $1k at the vet last time I brought her there - I don’t think they gave her the meds. My labradoodle puppy Georgia LOVES coming here, I drop her off in the morning and grab her at night a few times a week and she’s always exhausted and never wants to leave. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pup. I started bringing her as soon as possible and now she’s great with other dogs, and I know I can trust the crew to make sure she’s safe here. If you’re stuck with an overly active pup like me, bring them here. You will not regret it!! Dogs aside the owner and her crew are top tier. You can tell they really love the dogs and have you and your dogs best interest in mind!

My dog Petey is a high energy, nearly 2-year-old rescue lab/hound mix and LOVES coming here! He attends daycare 1-3 days per week depending on my work schedule. Teresa and her staff are super nice and welcoming despite knowing theyre going to be busy when Pete is there! Once a dog is accepted, there is no reservation necessary - I can drop him off on whatever day Monday-Friday that I need, and I know he is active and safe with the staff as they monitor multiple dogs in their care. They were even able to trim his nails for a fee as part of grooming services available there, despite 2 previous attempts (even with sedation) at his vets office! Staff appear to love what they do, are so considerate of their human and furry clients, and worth every penny to me to be able to utilize this service! Did I mention that hes exhausted when he gets home?UPDATE 10/30/24: Petey continues to attend daycare and has also been boarding at Dogs Retreat as needed, and we continue to be 100% happy with the care & kindness that the staff provides! My pit-mix, Maci, loves coming here. At first, it was a new environment and she was hesitant but now it’s to the point where she waits by the gate to go in!! She’s always so tired when she comes home and gets the exercise she needs for her breed. We boarded her at the end of July when we went on vacation as well, and they took such good care of her. They accommodated her needs and answered my typical “how is she doing??” phone calls with ease. I’m beyond happy to know I found a place that treats my pup like she’s their own. Thank you Dogs Retreat!!!

Our pup Gracie can’t wait to get to Dog’s Retreat. The staff are fabulous and she feels at home whether attending daycare or boarding for a few days. We always feel confident leaving her with her human and pup friends.

I took both my dogs there to try out day care. Now we have coonhound that is usually very friendly with other dogs. He has done well in the two other daycares in the past. My fiance and I have moved to upstate New York and was looking for a place for our dogs. I looked this up and I saw that it had good reviews and it was affordable. I brought my coonhound here with my black lab. The daycare did a trial run and when I came back to pick up both my dogs. They said that my dog my coonhound was aggressive which hes never been aggressive. I brought my dog to D ogtopia,Latham New York and they say that he was great and he was great with other dogs and no sign of aggression. My coonhound was wagging his tail we came in front of dogtopia and he loves all the staff. When we brought him to this place he didnt seem to really like it nor did my fiance. I think they just didnt really read my dog right.

I was extremely nervous to leave my aging 12 year old dog while going on vacation. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care and attention my dog received. She came back from Dog Retreat in perfect condition with a spring in her step; this is a large contrast in comparison to other places I have previously boarded her. I cannot recommend Dog Retreat enough! Bella will be happily staying again in the future.

Great Service and Care. The Weber family and staff care about each and every single dog. The staff is attentive and family. They handle each and every dog as their own.I have Doberman Pinchers and work with Dogs Retreat on a Monday through Friday for daily socializing and birding when I go out of town for work. They’re great and I highly recommend them.

Great staff, but I wish our dog had the opportunity to take her time meeting other dogs before being rushed to the back area by new people that she was unsure of. On her first day, I expected to be with our dog for a few minutes while she got comfortable around new smells/people but it seemed expected to just drop her off and leave - which I wasn’t very comfortable with. Our pup is a rescue who is still pretty young and unsure of people that she doesn’t know. If you have an anxious dog, this may not be the best option for you.

Theo loves Dogs Retreat from the more than friendly staff that knew him by name since day 1 to all of his dog friends!!! He knows when his daycare days are and waits by the door to go see his friends! Would recommend Dogs Retreat to anyone with small dogs to large, they truly cater to all!

Our St. Bernedoodles, Appa & Ghost, love Dog’s Retreat! Teresa and her team go above and beyond and are very accommodating. It is wonderful knowing our puppies are safe and cared for! They practically jump out of the car and are always so excited to be there. We truly appreciate the support and hard work that goes into each experience.

My dogs are absolutely obsessed with the dogs retreat!! Every time I bring them they yelp and cry in excitement until we get there and then when it comes time to leave, they protest by laying on the ground till I force them into the car lol. I know when I drop my dogs off they are going to be well taken care of and super tired from all the playing and love they get. I can’t think of a better place to bring my dogs. Whether it’s grooming, boarding or simply bringing your dogs to daycare you can’t go wrong with this home away from home for your dogs ❤️❤️

First time pet mom here!! Super nervous , but the team at dogs retreat have been nothing but helpful and understanding!! Bowie loves going and I love that I can check in on him anytime!! Theresa is super quick to respond to any questions that I have and I always know he is safe and in good hands!! 10 out of 10!!

My pup, Cherry, went for her first day to daycare at Dogs Retreat today, minutes after we got home she zonked!!! This is extremely helpful for my partner and I since we work full time and need to get things done at home. Couldn’t be happier with the experience at Dogs Retreat, easy process and the employees are awesome & so friendly. I also really enjoyed checking in on her throughout the days on the webcams. I highly highly recommend Dogs Retreat to anyone!!

Teresa and her staff at Dogs Retreat are wonderful. Our 4 labs just love going for the day just to play with the other dogs. The grooming staff are also wonderful.We trust Dogs Retreat 100% with our fur babies.Weather they go for daycare or boarding, they always come home happy and tired. We just love this place.

BEST doggy daycare in the capital region! We’ve tried out a few different doggy daycares and this is by far the best one. The team makes an effort to get to know the dogs and I know my little guy is in great hands when I drop him off in the morning. He also comes home very tired everyday which is a huge plus! Their hours are great and it’s nice that I don’t need to call ahead/schedule online to drop off my dog. We’ve also used their boarding services and grooming which are equally as great!

The team at Dogs Retreat are fantastic! Henry the Beagle always has a great time. I use the day care, boarding and grooming services and 5 star all the way! Highly recommended!

I have been bringing my pup to Dog’s Retreat since she was 5 months old. She always runs in the door and is very happy to greet the staff. She is appropriately tired when we get home. Not having to have a reservation makes Dog Retreat crowded at times, however it also makes it very flexible for dog owners.

I have a 70 pound golden mix and he loves it here! I kept him here overnight for a few nights without any trouble. Prices are very affordable compared to other places. They even have a groomer come in to trim nails and such (at an extra price I believe). All dogs get play time through the day and keep larger dogs separate from the smaller dogs. All dogs need to stay for a trial run and needs to get along with other dogs. So your pup is guaranteed to be among other friendly pups! You have an option to board your dog in a crate or a fairly large room. Youll need to bring your own food, dog bed, etc. The staff also follow any directions you leave also! He had medicine he needed to take and they were able to give it to him every night. The owner is also very nice!I highly recommend Dogs Retreat for extended watching and/or boarding!

When my handsome fella comes home and settles in on the couch I know he’s had an awesome day! Teresa and her staff have shown myself, my family and my Sully nothing but love, support and compassion through one of the hardest times in our lives. Jesse comes out to get the dog for my aunt when she drops off sometimes, they offer to bring him out to the car for her when she picks up. They take very good care of him as well as the other dogs that are there. I don’t have anything but respect and love for Teresa and her staff at A Dog’s Retreat.

Every time I bring my beloved Calvin to Dogs Retreat, I know that he is in the best hands. The owner, Teresa, is a wonderful woman and has created an environment that my Calvin loves to be apart of. Jesse is also great and really has looked after my dog every time I have him stay overnight. The new guy, Sean, could be a little more personable but overall a nice guy. Whether its for 4 hours or 4 days, Dogs Retreat goes above and beyond to make my little Calvin feel comfortable each and every day.

We have been bringing our husky Meeko here since he was a puppy. Whenever we drop him off we don’t have any doubt he is well taken care of and he is safe. We have had nothing but positive things to say when people ask us our thoughts. We have also recommended Dog’s Retreat to many friends who ask for a reliable and safe daycare and place to board their dogs. The pictures of Meeko are from days he had gone to daycare and sometimes he needs a nap before he can eat. It is nice knowing they have plenty of room inside and out incase inclement weather happens to occur. The grooming service is also phenomenal and gives the ability to schedule on a day you plan to bring your furry family member. Happy they are able to remove all the excess fur and keep the hair around his paws and his nails trimmed. 10/10 for Dog’s Retreat and Meeko thanks his “Aunt” Theresa and “Uncle” Jesse.

My Wife and I have been sending our dog, King, to Dog’s Retreat for nearly 6 years. King was 4 months old when we started sending him. We’ll always bring King there because Teresa and her team are kind, welcoming and accomodating. We can’t thank them enough!!

Dogs Retreat is simply outstanding. The entire team loves the dogs and it shows. They have great enthusiasm for their service and it’s one of the few places I would entrust to care for my sweet boy Stanley. The price is fair and reasonable too! Stan comes home so satisfied and tired after a fun day at day care- see pic! 5 stars and my highest recommendation.

We love Dogs Retreat! Our young GSP, Five, burns off some energy there a few days a week. He is always exhausted and happy when we pick him up and sleeps SO soundly afterward! We have also boarded him a few times and have never been anything but happy with the service we have received. The staff is very accommodating and it is clear they really care about these animals. I could not recommend this place enough!! The staff is so friendly. I send my dog here for daycare and she jumps out of the car PSYCHED to go in! I recently boarded her there for the first time for 9 days and they were wonderful; they gave me updates on her the whole time and she did so great! You can tell they really care about the work they do and the time they take with your pups. You would be sending your dogs to a phenomenal place with caring people.

Our dog Finn loves it here. It’s the only thing that tires him out! He gets so excited on daycare days that he runs out of the house and jumps in the car to go.

If you want your dog to be treated like family, this is where to go! From the first time I brought my GSD Sasha to Dog’s Retreat, I could tell it was the right fit for us. We were instantly made to feel comfortable and at home. And now we go all the time, for daycare, grooming and boarding. There is truly no substitute for knowing Theresa, Jessie, and the rest of the fam at DR are taking care of Sasha while I’m at work or away. They are the BEST and I’m so grateful to them!

Our high energy dog Beau loves this place. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and always greets him by name. He is able to play all day and he sleeps soundly the following day.

Dogs Retreat is our favorite! Our dog Pax cant get in the door fast enough whenever we arrive, and its the only place we feel comfortable boarding him. Theresa and her team are the best and make it a personal, comfortable experience for the dogs and their owners!

Teresa, Jesse, and the Dogs Retreat staff are the absolute best! My dog Charlie has been coming here for almost 2 years and is always excited to come back to play. I have used the Day Care, Grooming, and Boarding services here at Dogs Retreat. With that being said, I have been very pleased with them all. Charlie has so much fun playing with the staff as well as the other dogs that he is exhausted when he comes home. This is how I know that he is having an absolute blast while being here. Also, there are cameras where I can check on Charlie and see him having fun in the yard. There is no other place that I would trust with my dog. When Charlie is there I know that he is safe and being well taken care of. The Dogs Retreat staff truly cares for your dog like their own which is why I would highly recommend them to any dog owner!

Unlike anything I’ve ever experienced! Brody is two years old and he has been crated while me and my spouse work durning the day…. He’d also only been around his brother our cat Oscar….: durning the pandemic I relocated to a work from home position so that meant a year without being crated durning the day. Well when I finally went back to work he wasn’t so happy about the cage again I found this place online and wanted to give it a try I figured it would expose Brody to other dogs plus tire him out a bit. EVERYONE there is fantastic Brody absolutely loves it! They know him by name! I’m a travel agent so we do travel a bit and I feel so comfortable having him stay with the Doggy retreat while we are away! I truly feel my dog is safe while there and everyone is so friendly! Plus they told me Brody is perfect with other dogs!! the only thing that I can think of to make them better is if they opened up a spot for Oscar to come and play lolHonestly if your fur babies are your children this is a place that they will be safe, secure, loved, and truly cared for! Brody sleeps like a baby every time we pick him up!

Unlike my dad, I generally dont leave reviews unless they are really earned - and Dogs Retreat has more than earned this.I have been taking my dog, Panzer (Rottweiler), to Dogs Retreat since he was a ball of fluff and on/off (more on than off) for the last five years. He always has a blast.The staff has always been friendly; I genuinely feel like family when I go there to drop off/pick up Panzer from Daycare.Their prices are competitive and reasonable for the industry, and they are willing to be accommodating.Plus they are involved and vested in the community they do business in. They take pride in how they present their business and how their business looks.I have recommended them to friends who are looking for daycare or boarding and I will continue to recommend them.

I just started taking my dog, Hazel, here three days a week, on the days I have work and school. My dog has always had separation anxiety from me and we have not been able to find a doggy daycare or dog sitter that is a great fit for her until now! Dog’s Retreat gave her a chance and she has been doing a great job! She is super sleepy by the time she leaves and naps on the way home! Everyone here is very nice and I feel comfortable leaving my fur baby here! I’m happy I found somewhere that takes such great care of her! Thank you!

I love taking my dog here! He always has so much fun, and is extremely well taken care of. I much prefer getting his nails trimmed here while he gets to play with his friends, and the owners are always so accommodating with pickup and drop off times too. They’ll even give you the option to watch your pet through their cameras, which is amazing. I’ve recommended this place to many friends, and they’re the only people I trust to take care of my boy! I cannot begin to thank Dogs Retreat for all that they have done for Buster, our golden doodle, in the past year. Buster is a regular here because he genuinely loves going to day care and he is jumping and happy going in and is always excited to go back. I can see his happiness with everyone there, the staff takes amazing care of the doggies and they give them so much love. Teresa is absolutely amazing and is always there for us and helps us with e everything 🩷 We also left Buster at Dogs Retreat for boarding for 2 weeks while we were traveling abroad. Saying Buster got super comfortable there is an understatement, he was happy the whole time and once we picked him, he was ready to go back the very next day for his regular daycare.This place has been a blessing for my husband and I & again I cannot express the happiness I get from seeing Buster happy, with his tail wagging whenever we say the name daycare and friends!!Thank you Teresa and team! We love being a part of the Dogs Retreat family!!!

As a single dog mom who works long hours, I am so grateful to have found Dog’s Retreat. My CeCe girl has been going to DR for about six months (since she was six months old) and is bursting to jump out of the car every time we pull into the parking lot. When I pick her up, I can tell she had the time of her life.I really can’t say enough good things about DR. They are accommodating and reliable. They also do a great job vetting other dogs. I wish I could be with my CeCe girl all day, every day - but when I can’t be, I know she’s in good hands at Dog’s Retreat.

After reading the amazing reviews and getting personal recommendations, we decided to bring our Micro Aussie Daisy to Dogs Retreat. This was our first experience ever bringing one of our dogs to day care but we knew we wanted Daisy to start to socialize from a young age. Our experience so far as been INCREDIBLE! Daisy already loves going and staff seem equally excited to see her. I mentioned ONCE to them that my five year old wanted to know if Daisy was making friends and today at drop off the owner showed me a video she took of Daisy with all her friends, just to show my daughter!! This kind of customer service and compassion goes such a long way. SO Glad we found this place!

Dogs Retreat is an AMAZING place! They take EXCELLENT care of my dog! I am from out of state and needed a doggie daycare in a pinch - they were so awesome and got my dog in right away. I was truly amazed how accommodating they were. The process was easy (make sure you have proof of your vaccine records!) They are clean, flexible, caring, and very attentive to the dogs! I HIGHLY recommend Dogs Retreat! It is great to have peace of mind and know your dog is in good hands when you need to leave them. I only wish they had a second location close to my house as we will miss them when we leave!

Our rescue London is half Collie/half who knows. She only likes the Dogs retreat! We do day camp and also have boarder her. You can tell she loves it because she busts out the car to run to the owners!

Absolutely LOVE Dogs Retreat!!! I can’t recommend them enough. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and at this point feels like a second family to me and my goofy dog Gus! The boarding process is super easy if you’re going away on vacation. Gus never sleeps better than after a full day of daycare! Overall, great experience here for your furry friend!

Dogs Retreat is the best doggie daycare/boarding place in the Albany area. They take amazing care of my dogs and let them play all day. They treat my dogs as if they were their own. The owner and staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. Highly recommend them.

We have a 3 year old Cavalier King Charles. He is shy and has never been in a kennel. He LOVED it there. (9 days) He was so happy playing with his little friends he didnt even want to come home.

My dog loves Dogs Retreat and I love bringing her here. My dog is small with separation anxiety and a big voice and usually hates being away from her family, but as soon as we pull in to the parking lot the tail starts wagging and we cant get in fast enough.They also offer grooming which is great because my little pooch is awful with nail trims to the point where the vet wont even do them but no issues here.As a pet owner its a relief to know my dog is in good hands and loves spending time here, whether its for the day or overnights.

I’ve been taking my 1 1/2 year old chocolate lab to daycare at Dog’s Retreat for over a year now and overall, the experience has been great! The staff are great with him and are very friendly (always greeting my pup by name), patient (my pup can be a handful at times) and accommodating during drop off and pickup. Recently, I sprained my ankle, and the staff graciously helped me get my dog to and from the car which was a huge help! Thank you to the staff for caring for my pup when I’m at work. I greatly appreciate it!

Can’t explain how happy our dog is when we pull into this parking lot! He is always so excited to see his friends! Especially great for young puppies because they don’t require neutering like other daycares.

Our two huskies LOVE Dogs Retreat! The staff is very kind and we can tell they truly care for our fur babies like they are one of their own. I took my dog Tucker who is a California dog , to Dogs Retreat over Christmas. This is the second year Tucker has been there at Christmas. Both times he loved his stay. He went for several days and loved it. The staff is amazing, caring and made me and Tucker feel welcome. He also got a bath and he looked and smelled so good. Im a nervous dog owner but I totally trust everyone at Dogs Retreat! He was so tired after his fun days. I highly recommend them for your precious dogs.

I have been bringing my dog Piper to Dogs Retreat for years and we absolutely love it! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Daycare rates are very reasonable and the best part is Piper gets so excited every time we pull into the parking lot. She loves it there and I love knowing she is safe and looked after.

I can not say enough about Dogs Retreat! I have been taking my bernedoodle - Soups, there for years and he absolutely loves daycare and boarding! Teresa, Jesse, Sean and Lynnette do a wonderful job with my skittish Soups as well as all the other dogs! I cant recommend a better place in the Capital District for your little furry family member.Additionally - Tiffany is the best groomer in the area. She has given my sweet Soups a variety of haircuts and he looks flawless and handsome with each different one!

I cannot say enough positive things about Dogs Retreat, I would give it 10 stars if I could!! My VERY energetic pup absolutely loves going and playing hard all day long. She is so tired by the time I pick her up that she is often asleep before I even pull out of the parking lot! She previously went to another dog daycare that left me less than satisfied so I was nervous when she started, but the great staff here has surpassed my highest expectations. My pup loves going Monday-Friday and I have ease of mind knowing that she is getting the best care possible. If you are looking for an affordable place that loves your fur baby as much as you do,then this is the place for you. Was super nervous leaving our dog home alone so we brought him over dogs retreat and Teresa assured us that he would be perfectly fine. She informed us that they have cameras and I could check in on him all day long. Overall so happy with our experience and couldn’t recommend them enough! You can absolutely trust them with your fur babies!

Our pup loves to stay here. Never had any issues with drop offs or pick ups. Staying there for boarding also includes daycare with the other dogs at no extra charge (something a lot of other places charge extra for). They make boarding easy and simple.

My little yorkie, Archie, has been going to A Dogs Retreat for about 6 months now. He LOVES it! When I tell him hes going to school in the morning, he gets so excited. The staff is amazing with him, hes been going to the day care 2 days a week and has boarded there twice. Highly recommend for daycare/boarding. Best decision Ive ever made taking him there.

We LOVE Dogs Retreat!! We have a 2 year old hound, hes a rescue with some anxiety. He absolutely loves Dogs Retreat and has been attending for about a year. He gets so excited as soon as we arrive and comes home all tired out! Hes not a dog that can be left home alone all day and the opportunity for play, socialization, and exercise while we are at work has been great for him. Staff is friendly and our dog is always happy to see them. Dogs Retreat is very convenient. I can bring our dog for the day without having to make reservations and they have half day options. Having daycare has made a huge difference for our big hound, and were so happy to have found Dogs Retreat!

I have used Dogs Retreat for daycare, boarding, and grooming for my two dogs for a couple of years now. I used to take my Labrador to a different daycare in the area, but they would not accept my German Shepard puppy simply because of his breed! Dogs Retreat does not discriminate based on breed, they are always willing to meet the dog and give him the opportunity to thrive. Thank goodness because my dogs love it here and come home from daycare wiped out! Dogs Retreat is a family run business and all of the staff are super friendly! They both have such a great time, they run and play and get out their energy and are so much better behaved at home. Theresa and her staff are so friendly to both the pups and their humans. They are true dog people who really love their job! Our nervous ‘grand dog’ just loves going there. We have been bringing our dog Henry here for 3+ years, and couldnt be happier with their service. They offer flexible hours during the work week and can accommodate boarding him every time we travel. We check the camera regularly when were away and see that the dogs look happy (including our boy), and that the staff is always near by. The staff are all friendly and its obvious they truly care for your dog. Weve literally witnessed the owner Teresa turn down an unfriendly dog at their greeting session, and have watched Henry interact with many dogs at the entrance, both of which have given us confidence that all the other dogs there are friendly and that we dont have to worry about his safety. Henry whines with excitement and pulls us towards the door every time we drop him off.

I brought my dog there for a 5 night stay while I was out of town. I had never done this before and was nervous but Teresa was the most accommodating, caring and easiest person to work with. The facility is extremely clean and well taken care of. I spoke with Teresa every night over the phone and she gave me updates on how my dog was doing. I was also able to watch him on the webcam which is a great feature of the daycare! I would recommend Dogs Retreat to anyone! This was an amazing experience.

We rescued Sophie on Jan 27 and the SPCA said she was good with other dogs and we wanted to keep her that way. In the summer we go to camp and there is a ton of other dogs. We decided the best way to do that was to enroll her in a doggie daycare! Also when we have to board her for vacations she would feel totally comfortable and not stressed. We investigated, read reviews and did a visit and decided Dogs Retreat was the best! Everyone is very nice and professional. We were shown the facility, which was very clean and organized. But the most important thing is Sophie loves it! We watch her on the cameras and she is always running around and playing with the other dogs, except when shes all tuckered out and resting. Shes an 11 month old puppy so she doesnt rest long. She gets so much more exercise at Dogs Retreat than we could ever give her! We bring her 2 days a week and its well worth the money especially if you purchase the 10 or 20 pack. When she comes home and is so exhausted we laugh at how tired and lazy she is and know we got our moneys worth! I would recommend Dogs Retreat to everyone!Tracy and Dan

Very clean facility. Im a parent to two Boxers and always try to leave my dogs with family but was unable to for my wedding. I did a lot of research and landed on Dogs Retreat. Have been taking my dog Pinot to Dog’s retreat for almost a year and have NEVER had anything less than exemplary to say about their service. Price is low but their standard for customer service is through the roof. They all know my dogs name, characteristics, and need for attention every time we come in. I used to watch the cameras to make sure she was okay during the day however now I FULLY believe she’s in great hands. Will swear up and down for this team! Highly recommended here and to anyone in the need for doggy day care.

We love Dog’s Retreat and most importantly our aussie/heeler mix loves it too!! We trust Teresa and the team with giving our dog the best possible care when we are at work, or away for a vacation. I go to Dogs Retreat to get my dog groomed by Tiffany. She is wonderful and extremely good at her job. My dog is unfortunately dog reactive and Tiffany is always willing to fit us in at a time when the boarding dogs arent out and there are less people/dogs around in general. She is exceptionally good at her job and I highly recommend her if anyone is looking to get their dog groomed.

Weve been sending our lab to Dogs Retreat twice a week for this winter. Its been a great place for her to play and excercise. They also offer nail triming which is a huge plus. We boarded our pup there last week when we were out of town. It was so great to be able to see her with the video montior while we were away. So happy they took such amazing care of our dog. She will be back to play with her friends and back to boarding if we ever need it again in the future!

They accommodated me last minute and took my Finley in when most places would’ve turned us away with such short notice. They were good with keeping me updated on what was happening with him. Our dog Luna has been going to Dogs Retreat for over two years now. She started there as a puppy at 6 months old and they worked with us to build her confidence and slowly introduce her to the larger group of dogs as she was ready. They provide updates at the end of the day or the numerous times I call to check in. Our Luna is a very sensitive girl and has been known to get sick or have an irritated stomach and Dogs Retreat always notifies us immediately if they notice anything different with her which really helps us feel confident in leaving her all day. We recommend Dogs Retreat to anyone looking for a friendly, welcoming, and comfortable environment for their dog to play with their friends all day! Luna K loves Dogs Retreat and so do we!

Like other reviews, I cannot sing the praises for Dog’s Retreat loud enough! My dog loves going and it is clear that he is loved there too. Ollie is always well cared for and comes home happy and tired. All of the staff are wonderful to work with. I got my dog back from boarding him for 3 nights and he has a blister, no one can explain what happened and how he got it. They also accused my dog of damaging a crate but all of those crates are damaged in the first place. They had my dog locked away from ALL the other dogs.

If I could give this place five more stars I would. We started our dog here with training and had to board him. This being our first dog(a puppy at the time he started)we were very anxious to say the least. The training was great and really helped us pinpoint what we needed to work on. When we boarded him they let us know that they had a live feed that allowed us to watch him as he had very little interaction with other dogs prior to this. The fact that we were able to watch our dog play and know that he was in good hands put our nerves at ease. I spent most of my vacation watching the feed. When we arrived home to pick him up they let us know how he did and at that point we decided to try the daycare on a regular basis. He was getting tall & still a puppy but, they kept him in the puppy pen. This place has two pens, one for smaller/younger dogs and one for older/bigger dogs. This was great for Marley as he still had tons of energy & learned how to interact with smaller dogs. Since we had started taking him to daycare School (he associates going to daycare with the word school) we have watch him grow to be a social and well behaved dog. He gets most of his energy out during the day playing with his friends so it makes things easier on us when we get home from work. When it rains, snows or just too cold out they bring the dogs inside. The staff is top notch with top notch service and will let you know if your dog has had a bad day or not. I can not thank Dogs Retreat enough for all that do!! Marley loves you all💚💛❤

Teresa and the crew are wonderful business owners and people. After several years of bringing my challenging dog to the daycare, I recently ran into a situation where my other two dogs were left in the care of someone else while i was away attending my fathers funeral. The long and short of it was that it was not working out and one of my dogs was not walking with the neighbor caring for the dog. At this point, and five hours away, I called Teresa on a Friday evening. She was extremely responsive and sent someone to my home to check on the situation. It was above and beyond. Dogs Retreat would have still been a great place for Mae, but this type care and understanding is what makes me feel confident that my beloved, yet sometimes hard to love hound, is in good hands.

Dogs Retreat is THE BEST!! Not everyone is able to leave their puppers at home during the day, ESPECIALLY if youre in a 2 income household. BUT, when youre an obsessive pet parent like I am who has heard and experienced MULTIPLE daycare nightmares, you get anxious about trying out new places. Well I am SO glad I chose to send my Luna here. You can tell they take GREAT care of their facilities, and all of the dogs that go there. Luna always comes back so exhausted from having so much fun. And you can tell just by how they greet you and your pup in the morning, and when you come to pick them up that they truly care!One of the BEST parts for me and my partner is that we dont need to call ahead and schedule in advance for daycare! Also the fact that you DONT need to use up your daycare passes in a certain time period because they dont expire! This is the one and only option we wanted to go with for Doggy Daycare. the staff (family) is incredibly nice and accommodating. They really do take great care of all the dogs and and very welcoming and responsive as well. The rates are great and the package pricing really doesnt hurt the wallet either.I would whole-heartedly recommend anybody brings their pups here as often as they can if they are in need of daycare. I can also say this was dog approved 100% as my dog would always come home happy and tired. 10/10 A+!!

She cares about the dog and her philosophy is that the dog is happiest with its owner. She will often coordinate my dog getting groomed with a stay over; so I dont have to come back again just for grooming! My friend Nick raved about this place and recommended I check it out when I first got my shepard puppy, Z. Z is two now and Dogs Retreat is like his second home! He is super energetic, but the staff has always handled him really well. They always offered to take him out to the car for my girlfriend when she was pregnant. Sometimes when I drop him off for daycare I ask if they can cut his nails and they have them done when I come pick him up. Last weekend my plans for the dog fell through and I had to board him for July 4th at the last minute. Theresa was extremely accommodating. I have moved around the capital region over the past few years but have always stuck with Dogs Retreat because the location is convenient and Z loves going there!

I have nothing but great things to say about Teresa and Dogs Retreat. She has always been very friendly and accommodating to my schedule. My dog has been going to daycare there for close to a year now as well as had many over night stays. When my sister comes up with her dog she has gone to daycare there and has stayed over night as well. She and her staff take care of the dogs as if they are their own. Those of us dog owners are always worried about the safety and care that they would get at daycare or boarding. Believe me there is no reason to worry when your dog is at Dogs Retreat.

Five Stars for Dogs Retreat in Latham, NY! Our hound beagle mix Mack loves to go to Dogs Retreat for occasional daycare visits, he has had grooming, including nail trims (this boy doesnt love to have his front paws touched but they are able to get them done) and he has been boarded there for both long and short stays overnight. Not only is the location convenient, but I would drive out of my way if I had to because the people at Dogs Retreat are true dog people they really love dogs and it shows. From my first interaction in looking for a place to bring Mack when we adopted him early 2019, Teresa was so patient in answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns as an anxious dog owner. When we go away for an overnight or a longer vacation, we have peace of mind knowing that Mack is safe and well cared for. I never feel like my phone calls checking in on him are a bother, and they encourage communication. Teresa, Jesse, and the rest of the Dogs Retreat staff are awesome. I am so grateful we have this place for our boy Mack, and I cant recommend them highly enough! Check them out, you will not be disappointed!

I was terrified to leave my dog home alone due to sever separation anxiety and they took him in like one of their own and he is absolutely so happy to go to “ day care” every single day. We love doggy daycare, boarding and grooming. The staff are awesome and treat the dogs as their own. They make u feel comfortable (1st time puppy mom) leaving you pup and pup comes home happy and tired from a great day of interaction.

Our family rescued our dog Pickachu a year ago. We wanted a place where he could socialize with other dogs, be safe and have fun. After looking around we Found Dogs Retreat in Latham. We could not be happier. Our dog LOVES it. The staff is great and you can tell they love what they do. They have boarding services and grooming as well. If your looking for a fun safe environment for your fur baby give them a call you wont be disappointed.

Dogs Retreat is wonderful, the people are so caring and clearly love dogs! My Molly is always happy to be there and she is so tired when she comes home, I know she has gotten alot of exercise and had fun all day! So glad my friend suggested them. I have also boarded with them, with the same excellent experience!

We have been taking our German Shepard to daycare here for months and have been impressed from day one. The dogs have indoor time as well as out doors , our pooch comes back exhausted every time. The family like atmosphere is refreshing they know our dog and are always accommodating to our needs. Cameras are nice to check in on the pup see what he has been up to .

Hard working. Compassionate. Really care about the dogs. Attentive. Gave me a tour. I get a vacation and the dog get a vacation of his own. Gets to play much of the time. Our dog loves this place. She is so excited to get there everything we drop her off and she usually doesnt want to leave when we pick her up. Staff is very friendly, provide a free initial screening visit to make sure it is a right fit.They separate by dog size.Only negative is that the place smell malodorous and we have to give our dog a bath everything she gets home.

My dog just LOVES Dogs Retreat! Everytime we pull in she knows exactly where she is and wants to get out of the car! The staff is also SO great! Dogs Retreat gave my nervous/naughty puppy a chance. They slowly introduced him to the larger group. He loves it there now. I highly recommend them for day care! Their hours are also really helpful for someone with a flexible schedule.

While we have been bringing our pups to Dogs Retreat every day for the last few years, it has been especially priceless to have Teresa and her wonderful family available throughout the entire Covid crisis. Dog’s Retreat and the staff that run it are absolute angels. I was so worried about bringing my dog to a day care and leaving him for boarding, but he always has a fantastic time there and comes home exhausted! Michael has gotten so much better at socializing with other people and dogs because of Dogs Retreat.

Ive sent my lab puppy here since he was four months old! I have not looked back for one second, he hears the words day care and runs to the door to grab his leash. I knew I made the right choice coming here when I could bearly get my dog to leave and come home. I have had a wonderful experience daycare and boarding when i have trips to go on.

I LOVE this place ! I have a very hyper Labrador Retriever and I am picky about where I send him. As soon as I say “want to go to school?” he bolts to the door. He loves going there and I have peace of mind when I drop him off. The people are so friendly and always welcome us with a smile. I’m so grateful they are just around the corner from my house and I can always count on them to tire my pup out!

I can not express my gratitude appreciation for this place enough. The Retreat has become my dogs second family and his home away from home. They have been a godsend for our 9 month old Weimaraner, Rikher. From the friendly greeting Rikher gets every morning, to his endless play with friends, and ending with a tired and happy pup - what more could a pup parent want out of a daycare. With the personal investment and attention they give to each pup in their care, it is worth every penny!

Our dog Baron loves Dogs Retreat. Teresa and her staff work well with every animal that we have seen them handle. Shes answered questions for us regarding our GSs diet and behavior and has gone out of her way to make him feel comfortable with the other dogs. We would highly recommend Dogs Retreat

We brought our puppy here last minute and they were amazing! The staff was super sweet and kind. They were really amazing with answering all the questions I had.We actually got him groomed as well because they had an opening and Tiffany did an amazing job! He was cleaned up just how we asked and we will be coming back!

The owner works hard to make a great community of dogs and people. She is professional and treats every animal on 2 legs or 4 with great respect. I have never entered a building where there is so much positivity in the air and I feel that the animals in the owners care is so safe and well cared for.I am appalled at Michelle’s comment on this as someone has been stalking the day care and going out of their way to be destructive to a community built over years. Some people just have a stick up their a-hole. One person with a grudge over nothing should take away from the amazing support and work the owner brings to the best doggy day care in the area!

I’ve been taking my dog, Poppi here for over a year and could not recommend it more!! She always leaves so happy, fulfilled and best of all, tired out!! The team here is amazing, always so kind and always greets her by name! I liked it so much that even after switching to remote work, I make the drive because it’s truly so worth it. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES!! Originally we started going to this daycare because it had good reviews but sadly due to irresponsible staff and unsafe conditions our four month old lab puppy ended up with a broken arm because one of the staff members of dogs retreat slammed her paw in a gate when they weren’t paying attention. To make it worse I still have the voicemail recording on my phone from the owner saying it’s not an emergency and to just give a call whenever I have time. After calling back I was notified that a staff member slammed her paw in the gate but they think she was just being dramatic. When I came to pick her up she was only walking on 3 legs and I rushed her to the vet to find out her arm was broken in two places and required urgent and expensive orthopedic surgery with a long and difficult 8 week recovery. The only thing this place did was show us that we have a great vet and a resilient dog.

I highly recommend Dogs Retreat! My Marley loves it here. She goes to daycare, has been boarded and groomed and Ive never had a bad experience. Its a family owned and run business and their love for what they do is very apparent. Id never bring my girl anywhere else.

What a great concept for doggie daycare! There are indoor and outside areas where dogs roam free rather than being in cooped up separate runs all day. Dogs are grouped by size and run and play all day. Play areas are cleaned frequently.A well run facility, the staff are friendly and professional. Hours of operation accommodate varied work schedules.Convenient location, quick in and out.

I dont want these people calling me re. this review.Boarding my dog for 2 nights cost us over $3,000 in vet bills and we almost lost her.I should have been more wary when I walked in because even the front entry room was filthy. But the reviews were so great, and I thought, Well, they have a lot of dogs in and out and it is winter. Then, I was rushed through a tour which basically consisted of being shown the outside and inside play areas, but not the room where I was assured my dog would stay.I asked multiple times whether they could accommodate her allergies, and was told yes and just to bring her food separated into AM and PM.So, shes boarded and Im given the camera info, but upon looking at it, I notice: 1. These dogs are basically thrown outside in the freezing cold all day with little supervision (though I notice their own dogs are kept inside) and 2. You cannot see the actual boarding area. Still, I trust them because I have little choice at this point (traveling for work).I get her Saturday and am told her water was kicked over. For how long? They have no idea. Get her home and shes lethargic. Then the vomiting starts. Then the bloody diarrhea. I rush her to the vet hospital where she needs to be kept on fluids for several days. Severe dehydration and gastroenteritis from an allergic reaction to being left without water and fed food and treats she was NOT supposed to have.TLDR: My dog almost died from neglect and poor care. Thank God it was 2 days and not a whole week. DO NOT BOARD HERE. They clearly have too many dogs to take care of.ETA: In response to the response: 1. No Im not talking to you directly. Every person Ive spoken to told me to sue, and youre quite lucky I dont believe in that. 2. You do NOT refill their water when youre absent the entire day on Saturday except for pick up. 3. The safety and care of animals is clearly not your priority. You are overrun with trying to take care of too many animals, and neglectful as a result. My dog almost died, we spent our entire savings keeping her alive and it is 100% your fault. I hope they shut down your filthy facility.

Ultimately had to cancel the pup’s little vacation here, but I really appreciated working with everyone there leading up to his stay - they were very accommodating on a number of fronts, answered all my questions, and welcomed our pup with open arms for the weekend despite never meeting him before. They were extremely cool about the late cancel (although I felt bad for doing so). If we ever wind up back at Saratoga, this will be the first place we book…even before a human hotel.

I bring my father’s dog Jace here and I could not be happier. Jace loves coming to Dog’s retreat. They treat him like a member of their family. They were able to accommodate Jace last minute when we had a family emergency and were very supportive during that time. I recommend this place to everyone if you want to send your pet to a place where they will be loved all day. Don’t hesitate, you’ll be happy you sent your pet!

Marley is a high energy Covid puppy. Its only me and my husband with no other pets. She needs socialization with dogs and humans - she loves going there! I bring her once a week. She comes home physically and mentally exhausted - we both love it! I highly recommend.

Would prefer to give this place 5 stars. The employees/owners are so nice and caring. The times we brought our dog he was always happy at the end of the day. However, it would be unfair not to share a recent experience. I dropped him off in the morning and when I pick him up there was a sign on the door. ..We had a confirmed case of Kennel cough. I was so disappointed, and in less than 12 hours our dog came down with a sever case of kennel cough. He has been miserable for days and currently on 2 meds. we expect this will be a 2 week sickness.I view this as a failure of the business on two levels:1. The very second there was a confirmed case every owner should have received a text/email given the option to come get there pet. No such communication was given. Only the past handwritten sign on the door.2. There is no screening when pets are dropped off. They are so busy it seems any screening is forgone. We have never been asked if our pet is feeling sick or coughing.For these 2 reasons I can not feel safe going back there, unless and until they revisit their practices.

We are from out of town and needed to board our dog for couple of days. It was easy to make arrangements. Our dog must have had lots of fun because he came home happy and tired. I was able to call and check on him during his stay and heard he was having a great time with all the other dogs. Will be back when we come to visit family.

Ruby spent the weekend here and I did not worry a bit! They treat her like royalty; she may demand it but…they love her anyway! Ruby is always excited when we pull into the parking lot so i know she likes it! Theresa, Jesse snd gang are the best!❤️

We have not boarded our dog often as weve had family that could do it but this was our second time boarding him. We are so glad that we found Dogs Retreat because his experience was 10 times better than he had elsewhere. We loved being able to watch him interact with the other dogs while away. We plan to utilize again for our longer vacation.

Teresa and her team are the best! They always greet you with a smile and treat your dog like they are their family. Our Roz and Avrey cant wait to get through the gate to visit their friends at daycare!! Its so convenient having a groomer there too. If I could give Dog’s Retreat 10 stars I would. My Mila has been going since I started back to work in September. I thought I would do a couple days a week but she goes five days a week now. We love the staff and Mila is so happy playing with the other pups! It is such a relief not to worry about my fur baby when she is there and I’m working. I am beyond thrilled to be able to have a place like Dogs Retreat to take Mila to. If I even mention Teresa’s name now, Mila will sit by the door and cry waiting for me to take her. Everyone there is compassionate and friendly to both Mila and me. I also get Mila groomed when she is there and Tiffany does a fantastic job... and it can be done while she is there for the day. It’s a win win!

Dog’s retreat is a gem. When I have to leave town for work they help with watching my 14 year old Schnauzer. There’s no one/place in the world we trust more with our babies, Roz & Avrey, than Dog’s Retreat. Teresa and her crew are the kindest, most caring individuals, that will go to any length to make sure your dogs know they’re loved and safe. Our dogs get excited when we mention they’re going there and return to us happy and exhausted. Everyone recognizes us/the dogs as soon as we walk in and they always greet the dogs by name with the happiest voices that their tails wag like crazy. Our one dog (Avrey) is so excited to walk in that he nearly jumps the fence and desk every time. I truly feel my dogs are being cared for and I have never been concerned in the year and a half that we’ve been part of the Dog’s Retreat family. We got our dog groomed here for the first time and were very happy with his cut. Tiffany was very thorough in asking how we would like the cut and cut and groomed him accordingly. There was great communication and we will definitely be back.

Puppy junebug loves going to daycare and I know that the staff loves june which makes me feel very comfortable leaving her there all day while I’m at work. Highly recommend sending your pup to them especially when they are young!

We have just moved to Troy and we had a family emergency and needed a place to board our dogs. Went onliine and found info on Dogs Retreat and were able to get accommadations for them. Very friendly staff, and the service was outstanding. Our dogs seemed to like the experience and we will defiinatley use them in the future.

Our dog absolutely loves going to Dogs Retreat in Latham. He gets to play all day. They have been so wonderful and helpful to us and fit him in for last minute boarding twice now. He leaves well groomed and exhausted.

I have been bringing my 13 mo.old Golden doodle to Dog’s Retreat since she was 4 mos. old. LuLu attends 5 days per week. After she eats breakfast in the morning she stands in front of me signaling that it is time for mom to bring her to doggy daycare. On the weekend, LuLu does the same exact thing and begins to cry when she realizes it is not a doggy daycare day.It takes us a while to calm her down. When LuLu comes home each evening she is quite calm and exhausted. She sleeps on and off for the entire evening. Theresa, Jesse and staff could not be more pleasant and accommodating. They report to me frequently the details of Lulu’s day.I know that LuLu is 100% safe and is given excellent care and attention. In addition, I bring LuLu to the Groomer who works at the retreat and am always very pleased with the results. I recommend Dog’s retreat to many people who are looking for great care for their dog and will continue to do so. I am so happy that I found Dog’s Retreat. We bring our pup Iggy here for daycare and he is always very excited to go in and play! Everyone there really seems to care about the dogs and I like that they are not crated during the day so Iggy comes back tired (which is a rare thing for him). We have boarded Iggy a few times and he always comes back happy and well taken care of!

My dog loves this place and comes home tired every time! I love that it is family owned and we are always greeted in a positive friendly manner. I got stuck at work super late and unable to pick my dog up before they closed they were able to quickly board her and feed her for the night, they were super understanding and courtesy of the situation.
