Im very disappointed in CAV. Never called me back about my puppy medicine. The last visit they only gave me medicine for 2 weeks and when I requested more medicine, I was ignored with no call back. I feel Im being used for more visits for more money. Prices are very inflated. Im never taking my puppy back there.

Dropped my cat off to be cremated. Paid a little over $100 for what I was told would be a wooden plaque with my cats name/paw print on it. What I received was a lump of clay the size of a coaster with a lazily pressed paw print placed horizontally. What was supposed to be an object to commemorate my cats short but meaningful life, is now an object that is of no use to me and sparks frustration instead of comfort. I will be skipping this place in the future and would not recommend this place to others.

Central Veterinary is one of the best Veterinary hospitals in the area! I adopted Harper from Central Veterinary and they were able to continue her care for us. Well we had her first Drs appointment and she didnt want to cooperate with the staff. Instead of just pulling her from her carrier they were so kind and asked for help so as to not stress her out. We also get her nails trimmed here and they not only trim but file as well. I am beyond impressed with the compassion and care we receive here and I hope you are too!

I love bringing my two dogs, a Pomeranian and a Boston Terrier. The treatment they receive here is incredible. As soon as we arrive, we are always greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly receptionists. The veterinary technicians are also very friendly and provide a clear overview of what the veterinarian will do during the appointment. During my dogs last visit, the vet presented me with a plan of care and discussed the expenses and alternative options with me. Overall, Im very satisfied with the care my dogs receive.

I was very happy with my vet until I saw no end in sight to their price increases. Last year I had a dental for my dog to the tune of OVER 4k….and she still had teeth left! This year the low end was going to be 2k as long as there were no extractions. I knew this just felt like a cash grab as I asked all my dog owner friends what they pay. So I decided to go to Central Vet. I’d gone there with some foster kittens and I liked the vibe. They got my girl in for her dental in about two weeks and the final bill was UNDER $900 with four extractions. I’ll be switching all my dogs over there so I can continue to provide them the medical care they deserve. I’m not sure how my previous vet can charge so much more. Very happy at Central Vet.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while. We love our vet! I recommend everyone here. The front desk staff is so friendly and the vets are so informative and helpful. They’re very reasonable and really overall want the best for your pets. They have been great for both of our cats and we are forever clients! Thank you guys!

We have been going to this Vet for 7 years, and this is the first time we were In and Out in the most timely manner. In the past, we could be there for 2 hours... Just waiting to be seen. However, Covid 19 happened, and the entire process took only 45 minutes! I think that once the world gets back to normal, they should keep the same Covid 19 mentality and be on time with every patient. The nurses, Drs. and staff are very nice and pleasant.

Staff was friendly and kind to my cats, but the place is a money pit. After spending already $400 on their first visit for shots/checkup-- They tried to charge me $800 EACH for my 2 cats to get fixed-- thats simply too much. Going somewhere else.

They take excellent care of my little dog Rocco. I wouldnt take him anywhere else, they are the gold standard as far as Im concerned.

Reeses first vet visit here. Theyre very patient and started to make him feel comfortable because he was very scary.

They took excellent care of Opal. The cost was what I expected for emergency medical treatment (~$500). The wait was long, but we came at almost shift change. We left Opal for 3 hours and came back. We waited 30 more minutes in the office to speak with the vet and another 30 minutes to receive her back with medicine and dc.I was referred here by a local vet, and I am glad.

Ive legit been bringing all my pets here since 2013. Theyre amazing and very helpful. I have had nothing but great experiences here for my cat and dog.

We moved here from Dutchess County where we loved our vet tremendously. Our neighbor recommended CVH and we love them. Both my elderly cat and puppy are very happy there. The team is kind, happy to help and very thorough. I don’t feel like I’m being sold and I find the prices very reasonable.

Got inan appt quickly with my sick cat. Quick service, vet spent plenty of time with me as a new client. Very friendly and I didnt have a big bill to pay afterwards. So far I am very happy with this practice.

I love, love, love Central Veterinary Hospital. Like any BUSINESS they set a price for a service. Not all car dealers sell the same model for the same price, so what do you do? You shop around for price and quality and when you find the balance you can live with, you take it.I have had routine visits and emergency visits and not once did I feel like they had not done the job I expected. It is always my choice to say yes or no or go somewhere else. One night, just before closing, my bulldog was having a horrible reaction to something she ingested. They did as much as they could for her before we had to go to the emergency clinic because they knew it would cheaper for me to go that route. They stayed late to help save my dog and my wallet (maybe because I am not a dick to them and I dont expect a handout).They are not a self help group, they are not an animal rescue group (but I know for a fact they DO rescue - hence the 2 cats I own) they are a business. And for the way they conduct their business, I have given them 5 stars. Pleasant staff, knowledgeable doctors and my animals (3 dogs, 2 cats) old age, prove to me that I chosen the right place.

We have been clients of Central Vet for almost 20 years. All the Vets and Techs are absolutely incredible; receptionists are amazing and very knowledgeable. Their customer service is outstanding. Theyre amazing to us and our animals.

We have been bringing our pets here for years and we are very happy with the well run professional operation. I would strongly recommend Central Veterinary hospital for cats and dogs.My childrens first pet recently passed away and the whole staff was very caring and helpful when my daughter handed her boo kitty wrapped in a blanket. As tears ran down my daughters cheek one of the staff members hugged my daughter and expressed her condolences for her loss.A few days later we received a very nice card from the entire staff.

My 12 year old pup doesnt love going to the vet, but hes soft like Twinkie filling and really doesnt react adversely... The staff has known him for years and treats him like the old grumpy man he is, and treats is humans kindly as well. 😊

I have been a client of theirs for over 30 years. 3 different dogs had wonderful experiences and were treated very well by the entire staff. I recently had to put good companion down a great black lab Rock and they took care of him till the end of his days. Dr. Hardaker is the best. I would highly recommend them. Best vet weve ever been to. We have four pets and we happily bring them all here. Buck the Dog is still a little scared by pandemic curbside service though. He always looks so concerned when one of the friendly staff come out to get him put of the car.

The staff are great here. My dog is a rescue and has axienity going in car and to any where that is not her home. They take great care when she comes in for check ups and boarding. Jessie my four legged child is adored there and we adore them.

I do not have a patient for the doctor, but I called with some questions.Grace, answered the phone and was so pleasant and informative that I am still smiling. What pleasure to speak to. I could feel her smile through the phone. Thank you so much for all your help.

We have been going to Central Vet for about 6 years for our senior dogs’ many medical needs. Dr. Hardaker and her staff are absolutely amazing. We have gone through many ups and downs (having to say farewell to 3 of our seniors over the past year) and adopting more seniors all of which have been patients at Central vet and would never go anywhere else. From regular visits to emergency visits, central vet has always been responsive and compassionate! We have referred many friends to the practice and know that our pups will receive the very best treatment there. As an aside, during the pandemic I heard horror stories from many friends about the issues they ran into with vet care and finding new practices, and that is yet another area where central vet continues to shine. From quick curbside food and medication pick up to payment over the phone to allowing dog parents to come into appointments with the pups (with safety restrictions in place of course) Dr.H and the team have gone above and beyond! We would give 10 stars if we could!

They are great! Can not recommend highly enough. Got my dog fixed there and she was inconsolable so even though she should have stayed overnight they called me to pick her up, which was the safest option for her.

I had my long-haired cat, Sheridan, groomed, and Jamie did a tremendous job! She did a lion clip on him and he looks adorable.

The staff and Dr.Hardaker are very caring and have been amazing with trying to find a solution/manage my cats diabetes. They have taken the extra time to teach me how to check my cats sugar from home as well as answering any questions and spending extra time in the room during our visits. My 90 lb pit mix is also pretty fond of her considering he has never been the biggest fan of the vet. The only reason why I am giving four stars and not five is because on two occasions Dr.Hardaker was not in and I was not informed ahead of time. I just like my pets to see the same person. Nothing against the other physicians. After this happened I just request her for every appointment . Thanks for all you do!

I love this place.. they spend the time explaining and caring for your pet very hard to find today in vets I drive a hour to them with my pets I would tell everyone to go there and see for themselves very caring and take good care of the pets

I boarded my Umbrella Cockatoo at Central Veterinary for 2 weeks while I was in Florida, and it is blatantly evident in that the staff takes immaculate care of both the animals and facility. My U2 was showered with attention, the prices are reasonable, and the clinic is both modern and spotless. I will absolutely utilize their services again.

Extreemly patient, caring folks who work here! I have a very fiesty cat, Zoey who lives up to her title of Queen B and a overly playful pup named Dutchess. They played with them till they were calmed enough to be treated. Prices were not bad either!

I had my cat of 12 years put down hereI came out and planned to pay for private cremation and the clay paw print.Paid for the service and when I picked up Mickey the paw print wasn’t thereI received a call stating that the print wasn’t orderNow I have no clay print and was told I would be refunded the price of the printThis isn’t satisfactory to me.It was your mistake and I think you should wave the adoption fee for a kitten due to lack empathy shown when receiving the devastating news

The veteranarians are knowledgeable and caring. My cat has had several health issues throughout her life and theyre responsible for helping her get better. She is now 18!

This practice is the best. The front desk staff, assistants, and doctors are caring and top-notch medical professionals. I also appreciate the reasonable and safe protocols they have created to help curb COVID-19.

Friendly staff, nice location, prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that- I feel at all itvets probably do this exact same thing- is bombarding you with a various optional shots and I giving you a very clear idea as to what is more important than the next. If you are on a budget you might feel like you are a bad pet owner by the time you leave

I was there to meet a cat lady friend of mine, that runs the county SNIP clinic there! I like this vet place only because they provide us cat people with access to say and nueter services for homeless, stray cats! I picked up some ear mite medicine, donated, for my stray cats! Most of the time the staff is great,but on this day today May 13 2019 ,they let my dog fat-fat walk out of there sick ,an wouldnt let me pay for her medication which was no issue but wanted to charge me extra because it was not a doctors visit,but understand this is the nurse talking telling what the doctor is not going ,or going to do.I consider my fat fat a regular there ,they know her by entry,I never charged extra or a fee for the personal photo an other things they do with my dog thats not pertaining to doctors visit.They say an act like they care but on this day may 13 2019 I really question that😕 .....I made another appointment for may 15 2019 just to see the doctor an see if this extra fee is included in my bill... Will be back on the 15 with updates I hope I have something positive to say.........Sincerely & Faithful yoursFAT-FATPs.Anything left out,please blame it on the brain an not the heart!!!!

Best vet hospital and boarding facility in the Capital Region. I have been taking my animals there for 10 years now. The staff loves animals and they love what they do. If I could, I would take my kids to the vet instead of the pediatrician! lol

Was hearbroken when given an estimate of 1327 to 2802 dollars for surgery which would have meant signing my cat over to save her life. A woman through the animal protective foundation told us a vet in burnt hills could do an endoscopy for 500 which we can come up with. Feel lied to through omission of crucial info

My family has been a loyal client of CVH for over ten years. They take great care of our high needs dog and they love him as much as we do. We also use CVH for boarding when we have to go out of town and we love that they send us daily photos and updates. You won’t find a better, more caring vet in Albany.

Weve taken our pets here for several years and have been very pleased with every aspect of their care. We switched over to Central Vet when our first pit had serious health issues - we werent impressed with the other vet as we felt like a burden to them; our visits were rushed and the staff were not engaging with us. We often felt ignored. We are so thankful to have made the decision to switch because the staff at Central were absolutely amazing with Charlie at the end of his life and continue to be there for us and our current pitbull and cockatiel. We are always quick to recommend this vet and truly cant say enough positive things - thank you for being a trusted part of our family.

The Veterninarians are always kind and professional. They have been caring for my dogs for many years. The staff have always been helpful and kind also.

They have treated my pets super well and offer kenneling that my pets enjoy. Their staff is knowledgeable and helpful, answer all the questions i have brought to them.

They are reasonably priced and it dont seem to try to sell me services that I dont need. Service can sometimes be a little slow but not too much of a problem.

Just brought our new dog here to get neutered, with one cryptorchid testicle, since his previous vet did not want to preform the procedure. They got him in really quick, and the surgery went perfectly! We are really impressed with this clinic at this point, and will continue to come here!

I took my kitten here today through an agency called cat care coalation. I want to thank the very very much for helping me with my expenses for this neutering and the shots without you guys I didnt know what I was going to do I will pass the word along if you want me to if not Ill let everybody else research into the way I did but thank you so much me and black jaxs thanks all of you.

I recently adopted a rescued puppy and took her to Central Veterinary Hospital for her first well-visit. The whole experience from scheduling to check out was great. The hours are convenient and they have plenty of space to park. The facilities seemed updated and clean. Dr. Outterson was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is kind and truly cares about her patients. The visit cost slightly less than what I was expecting based on what I had paid before I moved here from Connecticut. I am happy I found CVH.
