We have been here a few months now and appreciate their attention to detail. Gwendolyn gets a spa day, and looks her very best! They also have a cute board that lists all of the dogs scheduled for the day. Gwendolyn said that they are a 5 out of 5 establishment!

Everyone here is so friendly, kind and professional. They truly love and care about animals! I have a 70 pound German Shepherd/Mastiff mix. They cut her nails and were so sweet with her. We will be going back.

As usual, Place Four Paws knocks it out of the park with a great haircut for my boy. Thanks for being kind to my Oakley & making him look (and smell) fantastic! ❤️🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🩷

Yesterday, I brought my Maltese to Place Four Paws for the first time. The moment we stepped in, the staff made us feel welcome. When I picked her up, my eleven-year-old Bailey looked and smelled wonderful. She even had a beautiful bandanna and bow.

This is by far the best groomer we have ever been to. Sasha is so so excited to go, they treat her so good and she is happy when she leaves looking all perfect and shiny. We are in Centereach and absolutely worth thw trip! Highly recommend!

We are very happy bringing Teddy to get his grooming from Place Four Paws. They give him a great haircut and are very accommodating to us. We would recommend using their services to anyone.

I would not go back to this place! We had a horrible experience. My dog had razor burns on his stomach and blood spots. Their answer for the uneven haircut was “it will grow back”. One side of his face was round, the other side was flat. My dog was petrified when we picked him up. We will not go back to this place.

The owner here, Amy, is an extremely nasty and unprofessional person. Im not sure how she is even in business with an attitude like hers. It seems as she cannot handle negative feedback or unsatisfied customers especially after reading her response to the 1 star review below (some people just cannot handle criticism or feedback as it hurts their ego) I have been bringing my dog here to get groomed and will NOT be returning after my conversation with Amy regarding my dog being cut poorly. His ears were cut straight across like a bob cut, choppy, his hair and face were super short to where you can see the pink under his fur. Overall, he does not look good (mind you we had Christmas pictures this week which we will now not be doing) The person who usually groomed my dog called out sick and they did not notify us about this when my sister dropped him off. I personally called them to explain how I would like him groomed (the woman on the phone told me she is just walking in and seemed overwhelmed as there were people already in the shop so this could be where my directions were misinterpreted or communication lines became blurred) I explained that I want him done as usual with the face short. They misinterpreted my request as I wanted his face shorter than usual, however that was not what I said. Mistakes happen, however, it was HOW Amy handled the conversation and spoke to me after that prompted me to leave this review.I requested something be done to make it right for my next grooming since I was not happy with the services. I have been a customer for months and have even referred people here. Amy got on the phone with me already with a nasty tone explaining she isnt giving me a credit back and there was nothing she can do because she did what I asked. She stated its hair and it will grow back so I dont know what to tell you (the nerve, which is very interesting because the other client who reviewed said he was told the same thing and in her response she acknowledged how that wasn’t appropriate response so let’s take some accountability ) I tried explaining to her that my request was misinterpreted and she told me well maybe next time you will say what you mean (excuse me??? this is what prompted me to go off) to which I stated maybe next time I wont bring my dog here because your attitude is extremely rude. We then got disconnected as I was speaking (or so I thought) so I called back and said think we got disconnected and she said no I hung up on you!! Im busy I cannot deal with you or this right now Im astounded that this is how she treats and speaks her clients I cant imagine how she treats the pets/employees.As a business owner, if a customer is unhappy theres ways to speak to human beings and to mitigate and handle situations like this. Instead Amy was nasty, defensive and not accommodating whatsoever. If a client is unhappy with the service, I understand there is no full refund, however something could have been done especially that I am always bringing my dog here. Whether it was a small credit or something added to his next grooming. I was not looking for a full refund whatsoever as I understand I still received the service. She could have handled it much more professionally, empathetically, and respectfully expressing her understanding of how I wasnt happy and that she apologizes for the confusion or the communication not being clear BUT there was no accountability and she was condescending and nasty.I cannot even believe the way and tone I was spoken too when I called expressing my thoughts calmly until she tried to go off and have her passive aggressive and demeaning comments. I feel sorry for her employees and hope she treats them better than her customers!

My dog Cooper is such an Angel but he has the worst allergies.. the staff at a place for paws truly cares and loves your dog💕 Absolute best talented and caring groomers on Long Island. Take your pet there you will be happy you did!! Thank you for being amazing!!!

My dogs are always distressed at groomers and I’m always worried. I am so relieved to have found this location, because my pups always seem completely fine and comfortable!! They are open to using medicated products if needed (of course I would provide this), and they always come out looking just as I would like. Very clean, professional, very fair price!

Just picked up my mini golden doodle Cooper.. He’s an amazing guy with such thick half curly half straight hair.. The staff here go above and beyond and he always looks gorgeous when I pick him up! Very caring and professional do not hesitate to drop your pet off here to be groomed! You will be glad you did!

They’re always very kind to my dog, regular openings for appointments and they clearly really care about making their human and dog clients happy.

I am so pleased with our experience with Place Four Paws. When I drop my little guy off and he runs to give kisses to the groomer I know he is well treated. He comes out looking so clean and fluffy and smells so delicious. He has never been better groomed. Thank you Amy

A place four paws is the absolute best groomers in town . I have been bringing my Pomeranian jiggy there for years and every time he looks better than the last ! Stephanie usually grooms him ..but everyone in the place is fantastic. They are warm, personable, and accommodating ! Xo

Just got home from this place. When I dropped off my dog, I gave specific instructions to NOT shave my dogs lower stomach and explained a bad experience I had where a groomer shaved her stomach and she ended up with razor burn, resulting in a month of cone wearing, steroid and antibiotics. Despite my SIMPLE instructions... they neglected to tell someone who was working on her who shaved her stomach... she’s already trying to lick the area like crazy.. it can take 24 hours before the razor burn appears.. so our Christmas may consist of another case razor burn bc these people could not follow a simple direction. I can tell the area is already bothering her.. and in addition, they cut one of her nails too short and the picture attached will show that the nail had to have been bleeding while there.. I will never go back..

They did a great job washing and grooming my german sheppard max. Stephanie took extra special care in trimming his nails and I will highly recommend to all my family and friends to bring their dog to them.

Copiously horrible. I went to this place to get my kittens fur shaved. They charged me the complete $70 even though her fur was already partially shaved which I found to be unfair. They nicked her nipple and paw and did not even notify me that it happened! Thats absolutely ridiculous. What kind of people make a mistake they should be highly trained not to make in the first place and then do not even bother telling anyone so proper precaution could be taken. I noticed the nicks myself, there was dried blood on my kittens paw. I would not recommend going to this place as it is highly unprofessional to not acknowledge a notable accident.

I love taking my dog to this groomer. They always do great work, and the staff is very friendly. I wouldnt take my dog to get groomed anywhere else!

Best Grooming Shop on the Island... I will never let another groomer touch my dog. Amy and Steph really love their furry clients and take pride in making them look amazing.

Great staff with great customer service, Quality of work is 2nd to None and the prices are more than fair. Much more personal and caring shop than taking your Fur Baby to some overpriced Big name chain.

I have been bringing my two dogs here for years. They are expensive but always have done a good job. Recently we got a puppy and a month ago we brought her in for a puppy cut” they went way too short in the face and she looked like a different dog.Today, we brought her in again for a grooming and wash. I was very specific: Leave her face long, and we would like somewhere in between a puppy cut and a summer cut.I picked her up and them seemingly ignored my instructions. She was cut VERY short, and cut her face short when I specifically told them not to. I wasn’t going to say anything, but once we brought her home, we noticed her paw was bleeding. Evidently, they cut one of her nails too short as well, and the bleeding would not subside.I called to let them know as I have been a customer for years, spending nearly $300 every 5-6 weeks with two dogs and now I had three. After explaining what was going on hearing them make excuses for everything, I heard the owner from the background yell tell him if hes unhappy with the cut there are plenty of other places he can go.I cannot believe a business owner can have such a blatant disregard for their customers satisfaction - especially in response to THEIR SCREW UP. Typically, its when things go WRONG that you see what people are made of, and based on this I dont think ANYONE should give them business. Lets see how little regard they have for their customers when they don’t have them anymore.

I have only had many wonderful years of positive grooming experiences with Amy and Stephanie! Not only are they excellent groomers but they really love animals! They work very hard at making your dog feel comfortable and loved during their grooming experience! I faithfully bring my dogs in every 4 weeks and they always come out looking wonderfully groomed. Brianna at the desk has a positive and upbeat personality making everyone feel welcome! They do not overbook the daily schedule and never keep your dog waiting in a crate longer than they need to be. it is my pleasure to recommend them to anyone that has a dog- what are you waiting for?
