They are super friend and really know each dog that goes to the facility. Weve been giving for years and never worry. Both my pups always have a good time and dont come home stressed at all, just tired from a big week. Our one dog isnt the most polite, but the staff are great with caring for her and take her on extra walks as needed since she doesnt participate in day care. Our other dog is a puppy with lots of energy. He came home happy and healthy, even came has better manners than when we dropped him off. 😆
We have a very silly 1-yo labradoodle. He highly recommends Creature Comfort Pet Resort. He made many friends, and had a great time. When we come back to the area to visit, we will definately bring him back here. Thank you staff and furry friends.
Tonawanda Creature Comforts Pet Resorts is a LAST RESORT and here’s why:Drop-off: (30-35mins) The receptionist couldn’t find our reservation, accused us of trying to board without reservation on a busy holiday - turns out, she was looking for the wrong name... She was quite abrasive and NEVER treated us with any human decency. We had to fill out paperwork (that was already done online), regarding all of the extra charges vs. basic care. I had spoken to a representative on the phone at booking, who said that social time with a worker is free of charge with multiple nights stay. I tried clarifying this with the receptionist, once she was done chatting with a coworker instead. She very coldly said that unless we pay extra, dogs get 5 quick pee walks a day and are in their runs the rest of the time alone. She literally didn’t care at all about our concerns or make any attempt to reassure us. Our dog is 50lbs and almost 12yrs old and just needs a couple fetch tosses and some pets to make his heart happy. Social interactions of any kind are an extra charge, including doggy daycare, which has been included in the boarding at EVERY other place EXCEPT here, where they charge extra for your dog to do anything besides eat, sleep, and poop! You also have to pay extra for photos or videos to know how he is doing while there. Other boarding places post pictures on their socials/have live streams FOR FREE! At Creature Comforts, which already charges $47/day, more than most places, you have to pay extra to know how your dog is being treated and for them to get any attention at all!We left feeling very unsettled but did buy him a chew treat for between pee walks and feedings. When we picked him up the entire treat was given back to us, untouched because “the dog must have been too distracted to eat it”. We know our dog and he loves other boarding facilities and is always down for a chew treat. We think they never gave it to him because he devoured it as soon as we gave it to him!Pick-up: (30ish mins) just as bad as drop off! We called ahead to pick up our dog an hour early, due to snow, and they said no problem (because they’re always so nice on the phone…when/if they pick up). There was one person cashing out and another waiting ahead of us. We waited nearly 15 minutes before the receptionist greeted us with “Next!” as if we were in line at a bank (and the way they charge extra for every little thing here it is clear money is all they care about, cuz nobody cared about the people or MOST OF ALL THE DOGS)!They tried billing for a 4 day-stay (drop-off Weds morning, pick-up Sat at 10am), and we had to justify that our dog only stayed 3 days. The manager involved herself, even though we had figured it out, and she double checked the paperwork (which was partly missing again) to ensure that we were telling the truth. The receptionist, thankfully, remembered us from drop-off, so he was able to verify the length of stay, since the paperwork had been transferred over “incorrectly”.After paying, we had to wait nearly 15 more minutes for them to get our dog. Two more customers were taken before us!! One came to drop-off, but because our dog is reactive to other dogs, that dog was taken back first. Meanwhile another customer came to pickup two dogs. Our receptionist was going to make us wait AGAIN but the manager told him to go get our dog first, since we were there first!ALL front desk employees looked miserable, like they hated their jobs, and seemed clueless on what they were doing, often asking the same question several times! These employees ranged in age upper 20s to late 40s/early 50s, so they should definitely know how to have a job and treat customers! There were many employees walking around aimlessly, yet we were waiting as though we were invisible. It shouldn’t have taken over half an hour, both times, because they certainly weren’t understaffed!Overall, our dog looked healthy when we got him back, but he is definitely happy to be home and we will NEVER bring him back to “Creature Comforts Pet Resort” again!
Resort?? Really?? My friend very recently had her beautiful, sweetest, happy, young, Healthy!! baby girl there for a week while they were away. When they returned and picked her up, she was disoriented, dehydrated, skinny and next day realized how sick she was. Took her to emergency hospital right away and was told they didn’t know if she was going to make it or not. Had to keep her on an IV. Doing everything they could, extremely sad, she died!!! 😭. And this business remains open!!!! 😡 She has before and after pictures, it’s clear that she did not come out the way she went in. And went from healthy, active, happy, to dying from staying here. The one star is only bc I had to put something. This place deserves no stars and a law suit!!! The pain is so real for everyone especially for their daughter who is constantly crying!! So heartbreaking!! 😭… Before & after pics (wish I can post videos so you really can see)…..UPDATE: Do not try to dismiss this review. So nobody recognizes this 8 month, active, healthy dog with pretty blue eyes, that was just there? Nobody remembers neglecting her? Contact the owner of this beautiful baby girl whose been trying to contact you with no return calls!!
They have always treated my dogs well. Anytime we call to ask about them we are met with a delightful response from the employee. Dogs come back happy and not full of gunk like other kennels.
They are great with my dog. She was able to play with other dogs no problem at daycare. They answered my questions when I called with no issues. The grooming service was exceptional after her stay. She came back smelling great and looking great.
I bring all 3 of my dogs here for daycare and they absolutely love it! Staff is very friendly and the facility itself is very clean. They offer a bunch of services (I have yet to try more)! My pups get excited as soon as we pull up to the facility and not to mention how pooped they are after daycare! I have had to board one time over the summer, staff is very patient with me for calling non stop for updates on my pet! The owner and staff genuinely love all pets entering the building! I feel comfortable leaving my pets here for daycare and boarding because I know theyre in good care! Highly recommended!
Our dog recently stayed at Creature Comforts on Ensminger for the first time while we were away for ten days and he did very well (slightly anxious dog). He was happy to see us, and was clearly well looked after. The facilities are clean, the staff are great and we will be using Creature Comforts again without hesitation.
We drove from Missouri heading to Maine, and we visited New York and left our dog there for seven days. They took really good care of her, She had a nice room, and the staff were personable when I called or any dealings with them. I like that they have 24/7 staffing because I wont leave my dog anywhere that doesnt.
My dog was only here for 4 days (boarding), and came home with bruises and open sores all over her body. The only interaction they get during boarding is with employees, so theres no chance of it being from other dogs. In that same visit I was supposed to receive photos of her, never did. When I called to check on her (5 times and a voicemail) they never got back to me. This is the only review I have ever left online as I dont wish to come off too entitled. But this, this is not okay. Dont bring your fur babies here!! They deserve to be treated well, and you deserve to feel comfortable leaving your pet in their care.I am unable to respond to their reply. However, I will say that my dog has documents from the vet a few weeks prior to her stay because of her allergies. It clearly states the allergies are making her eyes puffy and her nose runny. Not marked with bloody sores around her limbs. Dont bruises me. I showed you photos in a private email where you once again took zero accountability. As all of your responses show, your ego is easily bruised and you are unwilling to come forward.
I have been bringing my dogs here (Tonawanda location) for years. Over the years it has gotten progressively worse. Last year they could not locate some of the common items i had packed for the dogs. This year, i picked them up and they came home with kennel cough... awesome. They both do have they vaccination as its required. No adults anywhere in this place as its run by a bunch of rude kids. Oh, and they jacked the prices up on top of poor service. If youre looking for a boarding place, you may want to shop elsewhere.
If I could zero stars I would. I have 2 golden retrievers that we boarded here due to our typical spot being full. I was told they could do daycare during their stay. They waited to evaluate the puppy who’s 1 year old and has done daycare and boarding with no issues before until after drop off. Unclear why but they did not pass him. They then locked him and my 10 year old golden in the suite we paid extra for and rarely took them out. I called to question and they said they would re-evaluate him but didn’t and no one called me back. Then they removed the bed from the suite, I called to ask why and they said he was biting i, likely from not getting enough exercise/play. We ended up shortening our trip and picking them up early due to neglect. The then charged me for the day we didn’t stay. I paid it so I could get my dogs back but what horrible customer service. Never board here!
Went to see about boarding my cat here a few months ago and I didnt like what I seen. The dogs and cats are in the same back room just different parts however they can hear one another, they only feed cats at 6am and again at 5pm. They dont leave food or water down all day, they only have kitty condos with no ventilation as its glass doors or small tiny cages like they use for pet adoptions. On top of they dont play with the kitties or brush them. Id never trust creature comforts with my cat as long as I and my cat live. This is directed at the town of tonawanda creature comforts pet resort. Trust me owners take your cats elsewhere. I will stick by my word as its the truth. I urge everyone to check out their cat boarding rooms and see how small the regular cages are(they look like cages for animals that are up for adoption) and the suites are glass doors with just a bed and water bowl. They only give food at 6am and 5pm. They only feed your cat the food you pack to your feeding schedule if advised and socializing costs extra. To board 10 days is over $600. So because they tend to try to dismiss the truth. I urge everyone else who owns cats to check out this location and see for yourself (town of tonawanda location). My advice is for everyone to look and board your cats elsewhere. My opinion is final and Ill never board here. I will never reconsider my opinion on this facility.
I left my two dogs there for one week and the staff was wonderful. The rooms are very nice and clean and clean and they take great care of pets. Its also very nice that there is a camera in the room and you are able to see your pet at any time. Also, there is someone there 24 hours a day with the animals so that they are not alone. The only thing that I can say that I did not like was that someone does not answer the phone 24 hours. Other than that, my babies were very, very well cared for. I highly recommend Creature Comforts!
This is my tried and true care facility for my dog Stella Bella. She is always treated so well! We do both daycare andshort term / long term boarding. The staff is patient with me and gentle with Stella. Highly recommended
Great care. Feel very comfortable leaving my baby in their care. The above review was for daycare, boarding is another story.. The direct care staff taking care of our dog is fantastic, upper management not so much. I appreciate and respect the direct care staff who in spite of very unprofessional upper management still do a fantastic job.
Board the knuckle head here each vacation for the past 3 years. They take very good care of my buddy. Like the camera option to check on her once and a while.
I was reading the reviews on here and had to comment especially for the ones rated with “1” star. I take my beloved Sadie to this location and couldn’t have been happier with the service. Last year was the first time we have ever boarded her over night. It was very nerve wracking because she’s 11 and never experienced being away from her family. I was able to watch the cameras when needed and confirmed staff Were loving and taking care of her. She had a wonderful time. There were times I was running late for pick up, but out of courtesy notified the staff and they were extremely accommodating. Communication is key. I also noticed my dog was dirty and needed a bath, but isn’t that typical at a dog day care? Also, they do have large yards to play and her room with nice expensive epoxy flooring which was perfect. She had a small bed and was comfortable. I drive 40 minutes to take my dog to this location and love how well they treat our baby. Thank you to all the staff, you do an incredible job and we appreciate your services. Have a great day.
My dogs survived. However several things of note:-you need to be an engineer to work their camera system which even after speaking with someone there it didn’t work.-the dogs upon coming home drank water like they’ve never seen it before.-the upselling, while appreciated to remind us, is a bit too persistent. That’s when I knew I was in trouble.-and the final most frustrating thing with this place is the pickup and extra charge. We booked one night. Drop off at 1030am and they told us the only available pickup was 1. Ok sounds fair if that works for them. But they neglect to tell you that’s going to cost you a whole extra night. So charged for 2 nights despite picking them up within 27 hours and them saying it was their only pickup. Learn to pro-rate at the very least. Total cost was over $220.14 for one night for two dogs in the premier suite.
Brought my pup here due to recommendations and not satisfied. We did a a trial overnight here and because our pup didn’t pass the temperament test so she was stuck only being able to do boarding. I agree with other negative reviews, if you’re dog is here for *just boarding* they will probably hate it. I saw 1 of the 5 “walks” they did on the camera and she was gone for barely a couple minutes. Given she was dropped off at 9 am on a Saturday and planned to pick up on 12 pm on Sunday, we opted for the 1-on-1 time and when I got there the staff were joking that 1-on-1 time is simply letting the dog hang out with the front desk people… I paid extra money for my dog to have this “extra interaction” because she wouldn’t be able to do day care and I don’t think what this place is offering is worth the money, especially when it looks like they do the bare minimum. The other thing I didn’t like is that they took all her toys and stuff away from her the night before in anticipation of being picked up at NOON the next day. Accordingly, she sat in her kennel from dinner time Saturday evening until Sunday at noon with *nothing* to do. Their excuse was because they have multiple pickups and “don’t have time” to pick up toys/personal items at pick up. In my opinion, if that’s the excuse, then hire more people or come up with some sort of compromise (e.g., leave one toy even). The pups shouldn’t be left with literally no simulation for 12+ hours… Our dog will be okay, but she was definitely affected when she got home by the lack of decent human interaction beyond a handful of couple minute walks at this place.Basically… I do not recommend this place if your pup is only able to be boarded at this place (if they can’t do day care, they will sit in their kennel all day besides a handful of a couple minute bathroom breaks unless you want to pay $$ for 20 minute “1-on-1” sessions).
Sadly I cant give this establishment more than one star after my recent 9 day stay for my sweet dog. They didn’t read the paperwork or my hand written note as many things went wrong from them over feeding her and having her mess her suite four times in one day, twice I had to call and tell them she messed as they didn’t notice. The cameras were key but getting a hold of someone at night took many tries, maybe they should carry a portable phone with them on their rounds. Cameras mysteriously went out for a day and a half during which time they sent me photos of her in daycare. If they had taken the time to read the paperwork they would have been able to accommodate her so much better.Nails weren’t cut even though The paperwork simply requested that and I had To take her elsewhere when we got homeGot home to realize they overcharged me. Never did Emily the owner call me to go over all that went wrong . Danielle handled everything but I truly feel it should have been handled by the actual owner that gave me the tour in the first place. The sweet girl that answered the phone and addressed everything I asked at night was a blessing. Wish I knew her name.Aside from an expensive daily rate everything is an upcharge and I feel that daycare should be included for boarding dogs.I’m sorry I put my poor rescue pup through all the unnecessary anxietyLeaving her here literally wrecked my vacation as I was a messNever again
Very Attentive! - Great Staff. I took my senior dog there for boarding and grooming while I was out of town - I was a bit nervous because it was a new place for him and he had never been in daycare before but they kept me updated on how he was doing and set my mind at ease. They took great care of him and when I returned he was happy, healthy and clean. He had a big goofy grin on his face when I came to pick him up so I know he had a great time. This is the only place I will take my dog and ditto if I ever end up with a cat.
I was miles away from my pup and really enjoyed checking in on her through the online cam. It is a little pricey but we’ll worth it. Lucy got a lot of rest on her adorable bed and had a great bath before I picked her up. She is going there again during Thanksgiving. I highly recommend this doggie hotel.
I have been taking my 3 beagles to Creature Comforts for approximately 5 years. I have never had a problem, staff always professional and no problems with my dogs. I recently had to cancel a reservation for a two day stay this week and another 5 day stay in July. We had a death in the family canceling a family reunion and a camping trip. When I asked to be refunded my 2 50.00 deposits because we could use the money due to having to go to Florida for family death. This company refused to refund my money saying they dont refund they hold for future credit I begged and pleaded to have my refund given back and owner just refused. Even after I told them Ill never use their service again, they wont give me back my money.
Dropped my dog Rex off for his first time boarding and he had a great time! He was exhausted from daycare that he slept the next 2 days! The staff was great and were able to give me updates when I called to check up on him!
My dog died that nite after picking him up from boarding..he could barely walk....He walked into boarding for a week..had to be carried out...when I picked him up...
Our two dogs were there for 6 days. They both were happy and healthy. I thought the place looked clean and the staff seemed friendly and nice. I would have given them five stars it both dogs werent sick when they got home. Neither one could keep food down. Its day two at home, and both are still sick. Ive been cleaning vomit all day long.
We boarded our dog for our honeymoon, 2 weeks, and he did great. Came back happy as every, I’m told enjoyed daycare, and the staff was detailed on their feedback. We emailed them while on our trip and they sent us a picture! Highly recommend.
We took our dog there to be boarded for 6 days while we were on vacation. The day after we picked her up she started making this disturbing hacking noise. After a couple days we took her to the Vet and she was diagnosed with kennel cough. The following day we received an email from Creature Comforts that kennel cough has been reported at there facility. I called right after receiving the email to let them know that our dog was also diagnosed with kennel cough. They took down our information. It has been 2 weeks since our dog was diagnosed and more than a week and a half since I contacted Creature Comforts. Not one time have they called to check on our dog to see how she was doing. They never even followed up with my initial call. Our dog is 12 years old and has Never had kennel cough. This is totally new for us. She has been sick for two weeks now with no relief. She has been taking antibiotics and other medication prescribed by our Vet. We are hoping that she starts to feel better soon. This cough is very loud and I’m sure it is painful to her. It has kept my entire household up throughout the night. We have been told that it can take up to 3 weeks. In some dogs it can develop into something much more serious and I had hoped that Creature Comforts would have shown at least a little concern. We will never come back again. This is our first and last visit here.
Excellent. .day care we will be using them. Also boring our Doodle there for our Christmas vaction.Incredible care afforded. All night people there.
My dog is very nervous and the staff was very attentive to both my dog and me. Making sure I felt comfortable with him there as well as him getting relaxed. They did everything they could to make sure he ate. I felt like family was taking care of my dog. The staff is all so very nice ..
Our Baby has been there several times with no issue, this time the service was very poor! At time of pick up we were told she had diarrhea for two to three days, her bedding was given to us wet and diarrhea on the bed. Pick up time was 10am a bath was to be given. She was wet when we got there. A follow up call came explaining diarrhea was the night before and her bath was at 9! Throw the staff under the bus! The manager or owner accepted no responsibility just back peddling! We will never take our pet there again.
PLEASE Never Use This Resort! Very Disappointing with the Owner Emily and the staff!!!It was my first time leaving my dog at a pet resort which I was already hesitant about, but I gave it a chance. They knew that it was my dogs first time being in a kennel and away from us. They didnt try in any way to make him feel comfortable. There was a camera in the room that we could watch. He doesnt ever have accidents, but he peed in his kennel twice and pooped in his kennel. Granted he was nervous and it was his first time being in a kennel. The second time he peed on the floor a man came in to clean it up. My dog got up when the man came in, because he got excited and thought he was going out. He had his tail wagging when the man came into the room. As the camera does not have sound so I dont know exactly what the man said to my dog, but my dog got really scared and jumped on his bed and laid down in the corner. He just laid there and didnt move. The man threw a rope like he was lassoing a horse around his neck. At this point my dog was terrified. At no point did the man try and talk to him or try to calm him down. When I asked the owner about this she said that they do this type of thing for aggressive dogs. My dog was in no way aggressive and she even said that he wasnt. Obviously her staff doesnt know how to make a dog feel comfortable. I still gave it another day, because the next day he would be there to do the day care and go out with the other dogs. I thought maybe its just the first day and things will get better when he knows he can go out and play in the yard with the other dogs. I had him signed up for full day care everyday, which was going out to play from 9-12 and 1:30-4:30. The next morning he did go out at 9 to play with the other dogs and came back into his kennel around noon. I kept checking back and it was 3:00 and he was still in his kennel. We called to see if something had happened as to why he couldnt go out and play with the other dogs. They said he was sniffing the other dogs butts, but was in no way at all aggressive. So because he was being a dog and sniffing the other dogs butts my options were to not do day care and do a one on one with a person for 20 minutes a day instead of being out for hours at a time, but was still the same price. The owner was very unprofessional. She said every staff member was certified with handling animals, but obviously that not what we seen on the camera. When I made my complaint and tried talking to her she also hung up on me. So not only did I have to pay for my dogs entire 9 day stay, even though he was only there for 2 days, they also had some other dogs staying in his room after he left. So they got paid for that room twice. Please dont bring your animals here.
I had the pleasure of working with Emily, the owner of Creature Comforts Pet Resort on a project.I dont even have any pets! I felt inclined to leave a review about her specifically because she was so fantastic to work with.I would 100% recommend her pet resort. Just by speaking with her you can tell she really cares and puts a personal touch into her business and that is a quality that is very hard to find these days.
The pet care seemed to be reasonable and the facility seemed clean and nice enough. The severe downside of this is customer relations. I just recently had my first boarding experience here. I chose this facility based on the fact that my older dog with cancer requires 24 hour supervision. I had called to make a reservation about two weeks in advance. During the next two weeks I printed off the paperwork and policy and had a question regarding check in and check out time. It wasn’t very clear to me that the dogs needed to be picked up before noon or I would be charged for an additional day. I asked the employee when I dropped the dogs off if I was able to have them picked up before noon if I would be charged for the additional day. I was told that as long as they were picked up before noon that I would not. I made arrangements for them to be picked up before noon and was shocked to find that I had been charged for the full five days anyway. When I spoke to the person I had arranged to have pick them up she told me that the owner had told her that it did not matter that they were picked up before noon because the original pick up appointment, made without paperwork or explanation of the policy, was 1:30 pm. There was also apparently some kind of miscommunication because I had called at 8:00 am ensuring the person who would be picking them up and the pickup time of Noon and I was told again there was no problem. When she made it to pick up the dogs it was a long stop because anther employee claimed that they could not release the dogs to her. When I finally made it home I discovered that while the dogs seemed fine the staff also failed to send the dogs food home with them when they were picked up. After the nightmare of a pickup I called to request that I speak to a manager. I was told that the owner was in a meeting and that I could send an email. I told the employee that was not acceptable and I would like to speak to someone at least on the phone. I didn’t get a call back until the next day where I explained the situation and I was told that the policy is written clearly, it’s my fault that I did not understand, the employees know the policy, and there was absolutely nothing that Emily, the woman in charge, would be willing to do. I would not have inconvenienced a friend to pick up my dogs for me before noon if I had not been told that I would not be billed for the additional day of boarding, which at 76$ a day isn’t a small loss. I am not upset with the policy, if it had been properly explained, and this mistake on their part had been resolved, I would have made another reservation immediately. Instead the owner repeated read the policy to me as if I’m not capable of reading the English language instead of trying to reasonably resolve the situation. The lack of respect in their customer service was unacceptable and for that alone I will not return.
Our dogs Jackson & Yvette spent this weekend at Creature Comforts for their first time away from a family member. The care was amazing; seeing them on webcam really calmed our anxiety. They came home with a card about how they had done. The facility is extremely clean & the staff is very helpful. Their room was adorable & they seem to have had a great time. They will definitely be returning!
This was our first time boarding our senior dog, and we are so glad we chose Creature Comforts. They took excellent care of Maizey and were quick to contact us with any questions or concerns with her. They were always responsive when we called them to check in or with questions. Maizey was well taken care of and we would definitely use them again.
I have been taking Murphy to Creature Comfort Day Care for 2-3 days per week for several months now. He absolutely loves going there. He loves the staff and it is obvious that they love him back. This place is spotless. All the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend them for day care or boarding.Nancy Curry (& Murphy)
I placed my fur baby here for about 9 days over the Thanksgiving vacation. I was very nervous since he hasn’t ever boarded before and is used to stay with close friends or relatives. He had a little bit of a rough start and wasn’t able to do daycare for the duration of the stay. But i was so happy that CC took the time out to call me and let me know and they replaced it with one on one time! I loved how I could watch him while I was abroad through the webcam and he came back home super happy and smelt amazing from his free bath. Definitely recommend their boarding!
Everything about it is awesome. They treated my girl like she was a queen.
I absolutely love this place, they are extremely organized, always pleasant when we arrive and my dogs seem to be very excited to go every time as they run to the door without ever looking back. I highly recommend. They also accept all breeds and are very accommodating.
My 2 cats and dog loved their 10 day stay at creature comforts ! Everyone was very well taken care of and my very social cats loved spending their 1 on 1 time with the staff! My dog enjoyed his days in daycare as always and all were happy and healthy coming back home to me! I definitely recommend boarding and daycare at CCPR!
Our dog Bella and cat Zachary spent two weeks at Creature Comforts due to our moving situation in which we had an layover in apartments. Both of them came home to their new apartment happy and healthy, and Im thankful there is a good boarding house close to home that made that possible for us in a stressful time. Thank you to the staff for taking good care of them and letting us come visit them halfway through their stay.
I feel so safe leaving my puppy here for day care and boarding! They’re really great with communication and offer a ton of options for my puppy during his stays!
I stopped in for a tour of the facility & was very pleased with staff, at how clean and relaxing it was. The dogs in the Play groups seemed happy. The boarding area was cute. I look forward to having my pups stay here in the future.
Our experience was wonderful! As new pet parents the team at creature comforts allowed us to have a pleasant weekend free of worry. We were called regarding a minor concern that was addressed, still feeling confident with the teams ability.
I took my dog here over thanksgiving. They had contact information and vet information but failed to use it. I was 5hrs away, they called to tell me my dog cut his pad on paw during daycare. They said he was fine, not bleeding, walking on it. I immediately drive home to get him. I was not to pick him up until next day. He was not putting any pressure on his back leg. When I got home I called the vet, they were closing. Was told to bring him first thing in the morning. He did need stitched but to many hours had passed. So antibiotics and pain meds for 14 days. I went back Saturday after the vet, told them I was mad. They do not have a vet tech, and are not qualified to make the call of a animal needed attention. I asked to have owner call me. 1week later still havent heard from her. So NO I would not recommend them just in case your animal gets sick or hurt. Not if you consider your pet family. Im not a vet either but I know of they cut their pad on paw usually it does need stitches. We get an email from creature comforts telling me that if the dog is sneezing or hacking not to bring him back until seeing the vet. Saturday afternoon he started hacking and sneezing. So on Monday, back to the vet, meds for that. I have the owner more than enough time to call me. She didnt so I will make sure other people who are thinking of boarding a pet here really knows the care of something goes wrong. PS my vet does not believe that it was rough horse play at daycare not where it was cut on his back pad. I will Never take my dog here again!Emily H. Owner,I have no idea how you monitored daily, unless it happened on Thursday NOT Friday as I was told! I was called Friday morning packed came home same day picked up my dog. I asked who looked at his paw? Two young girls at the desk, told me they had. But they didnt think it was too bad. I also asked if a vet tech looked at it, and was told no! When I picked him up, he was not putting any pressure on it. When I was called I was told he is walking normally putting pressure on it. Which was a not true! What day did it happen? His pad was bleeding when he was picked up! I asked if a picture was taken at your facility and was told no.
I left my dog here for 3.5 days and he hasnt been the same since. Before, I could take him to the park every day and never worry. Now he attacks every dog he sees. They have too many animals jammed into a small space for daycare. He was also filthy when I picked him up, smelled like a carcass, and had an eye infection. I called a couple times to check on him and was never notified he was getting dirty or sick. Make sure you do not check the do not wash box, even if you assume they would inform you if your dog needs washing, they wont. They will follow thier beloved contract and let your animal get sick and dirty.
During the deadliest blizzard in modern Buffalo history, Creature Comforts refused to refund us the deposit for not being able to come in to drop the dogs off.Greedy, pathetic display. Theyd rather have you endanger yourself and your pets lives than return a small sum of money. I will not be using this business again.
I will never return to this place. When I arrived to pick up the dogs, the owner informed me that I would be charged an extra day because I was late picking up the dogs. It was 12:22 and she said I had to pick them up by noon. I apologized and explained that I was coming from a funeral, and asked if she could have some understanding and not charge, as it was only a few minutes and was literally coming right from the memorial service. She had no compassion and charged me for an entire extra day (we paid over $800 for the week). I do not respect her business practice and no one I know will ever be going there again.
Boarded my pups and cat here for two different stays and I have nothing but good things to say. They were nice and polite when checking in and made sure to give me a detailed verbal report in addition to their report cards when checking out. I opted for pictures on one of their stays and to be honest it’s one of my favorite pictures of them. For anyone interested I had both of my pups in the same classic run with no issues!
Boarded my doggie for 11 days and they were wonderful. She warmed right up to the staff and daycare. Loved, loved, loved the webcam feature to peek in on the fur baby anytime. Definitely will use in the future for boarding and plan on continuing weekly daycare.
My two dogs went here every Tuesday and Thursday for months with no issues ever reported to us. There was a scuffle that resulted in our one dog getting bit bad enough that she required anesthesia, stitches and an overnight stay at the emergency vet. Despite the seriousness of the injury our dog had, the management team was not even able to tell us which dog had bitten her. Although the management team was responsive, they clearly communicated they did not see which dog did it and they disagreed with the seriousness of the injury despite that it was a vet that advised the seriousness. They then went on to suggested it might have been our other dog since in the multiple dogs around her, he was also near her. Our dogs were raised together, have always lived together, and have never fought with each other or any other dog or person for that matter. They have no video in the play room either live or recorded for incidents unlike most other daycares in the area. Because of all of this we decided not to return and that should have been the end of it, but we have now learned that creature comforts is telling customers our one dog attacked our other dog. This is completely unprofressional, invalid and very upsetting to hear. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for daycare options with proper supervision and video so you can be sure you dogs are safe.
Our fur babies love it here!!
Creature comforts focus is on dogs but I have come to trust them to do a good job with my cat. Scheduling can be tricky but someone is usually there to help take the worry out of boarding.
I went over to this place to check it out because I was considering using them for a daycare for my fur baby. What I saw were dogs on concrete paving not grass for hours and no supervision. I would never let my baby play or play on concrete because its bad for their bones and causes calluses on their elbows. No one greeted me. When I went towards the door to enter I was looked upon as though I had four heads upon my shoulders. I felt so unwelcomed. I looked them in their eyes and turned and walked away. I would not recommend them and I would never use them.
Terrible experience! Don’t trust this facility with your pets!!
Truly a great place. I know my dog is in dog hands every time I leave her with Creature Comforts.
Trent does a great job training at CC. Spencer has made amazing progress!!
This is the only place I take my 2 dogs, they are treated like royalty there. From the moment you walk in their main concern is about the dogs. I love this place for my dogs, very comfortable about everything there, kennels, care, grooming is a 10 out of 10.
Comparabled to other local kennels, this one is sub-par. The dogs only go outside 5 times a day and cant just hang out in the sun like at other places. One of my dogs was very skittish for a week after being there(not sure why). Wouldnt go back unless I had no other option.
Boarded my dog for a week. Came home with a severe case of kennel cough. Had to go to the emergency room it was so bad. Will not be returning.
I love it here and so does my dog! We have been using the Tonawanda location for 4 years now and it’s been amazing
Our dog loves going to daycare here. The staff is friendly and helpful, the building is amazingly clean, and I never worry about leaving Lola with them.
No one locally trims long fur Guinea Pigs.. My Butterscotch has long fur that gets in his private area.. They were amazing cleaning him up..
Creature Comforts Pet Resort took very good care of my dogs and all there special needs. I will definitely use Creature Comforts again to board my dogs 👍
They are great with my dogs, and both pups love going there. Sometimes for an overnight stay mostly doggy daycare
Havent been there for a while but i have used them in the past great experience
We are trying them out for the first time and are satisfied with their service, so far. They are not cheap but but for the friendly staff, pet accommodation & various services it seems worth it.
This is the only place my dog will allow someone to cut his nails! Love to board my dogs here, too.
Their training classes are amazing. Their facility is clean and well kept. Staff is friendly and great with the dogs.
Our community is so lucky to have this company right here in our backyard. Heard nothing but positivity from our friends who have used their services. Keep up the great work that you do folks.
My dog is a very nervous guy, and he did just fine there. I could tell he had lots of hugs and attention while we were away.
Our Newfoundland has a great time. Two days calm him for the week. Wonderful staff. Clean.
My fur pup Jack is always in the best hands here! I never have to worry as I know they are giving everything he needs and then some!!!
The cutest little beds and rooms, with super friendly staff. Its hard to have to leave our buddy home, but its easier when he gets to hang out in a place like this.
My dogs love it there, and so does everyone elses to. Staff is awesome awesome. Highly recommended. Thank you
Great facility, friendly staff. Very pandemic conscious. My dog is always happy to come here.
Our dogs were well cared for and attended to. If we have to leave town again, we wouldnt hesitate to board them there again.
Really neat place to bring your best friend. Overnight accommodations are very nice. I really like the DOG TV channel. Beautiful place.
I just love this place. Being a very overprotective dog parent, I know she is in good hands. I can go on vacation without any worry now.
My dog was sent here as an emergent care while I was out of town, they handled everything great and were very accommodating.
Our dog always seems happy when he comes home, the staff are very attentive and the pricing is great
Their is an issue with staff guy pretty unfriendly girls are usually ok. Not really happy with experience
Day Care is good and convenient. Personable employees. Our dog enjoys it !
Beautiful facility! Each and every inch!Ps.just wish theyd have hired me to join their team!
Great new place in Buffalos slow-but-steady growing canalside area. Great drinks and awesome atmosphere
My boxer came back home extremely nervous. Its clear they didnt give the attention she needed
Great customer service & great atmosphere looking forward to boarding my pet there!
They taking wonderful care of our two dogs and I couldnt be happier.
Unless they like your dog, they will just throw your baby in a cage with no play time and the only contact will be feedings. The ly want extra for everything. Horrible
If you love your dog dearly and want he or she to continue feeling loved while you’re away, do not leave your dog here. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. We have the sweetest senior dog in the universe and our usual kennel (Joyful dog - highly recommend) had no room, so we decided to try this place out. We had high hopes, but there were red flags from the get go.First off, if you’d like your dog to board during the day so he or she is not stuck in a room all alone while you’re away, you need to bring your dog in for an evaluation.A note about these evals: They are by appointment-only and only happen during certain windows. We were never informed of these exact details, so we called ahead (after we reserved for our dog’s stay) to ask if we could come for a tour and bring our dog in. They said sure. We got there and were greeted (in a very cold way) by a woman at the desk who insisted that they couldn’t do the eval at that time because it wasn’t during a scheduled window (even though no one told us this when we called). The man who usually does the evals was standing there and told her he could do it then / no problem. She refused to allow it.Anyway, our dog eventually did the eval and apparently failed twice because “he was staring at the door the entire time and showed no interest in other dogs”. However, there were several problems here: 1) There was zero interaction with our dog before so coldly grabbing his leash and taking him in for the test (dogs have feelings and know when to feel uncomfortable), 2) they left him on his leash the entire time in the room while the other dogs were free, 3) he had no time to warm up prior and caused no harm. Our dog has stayed at Joyful dog for many days (as well as other kennels) extremely successfully. He loves playing with other dogs and knows when he should feel comfortable. We were set to be gone for 10 days, and 10 days is a LONG time for a dog to go without real interaction. The dogs have their own rooms but, in the end, if your dog isn’t getting any play time or interaction, it’s just a jail cell. Each room has a video camera, but our room’s didn’t work for the first few days. Once we were finally able to get someone to fix it (which was very hard.. there’s a young girl who works the desk who’s very defensive and confrontational), we watched our dog frequently. He was in the same position curled up in a corner for hours on end. It was pretty sad, and clearly solitary confinement. We called incredibly concerned, and the rude woman at the desk blamed it on our dog and the fact that he failed the temperament test. If your dog isn’t boarding during the day, and you still want your dog to have some interaction with other humans, this place charges for every minute. However, because our dog was clearly depressed (this was the longest he’s gone with no love), we opted to try this out twice even though it was something like $20 for 15 minutes of human time.We ultimately contacted Joyful Dog, and they said they now had room to take our dog. The story upset them as they know our dog well and couldn’t imagine he would “fail” a test that would allow him to spend time with other dogs (he is THE easiest, kindest, good-natured dog). They had heard similar stories about the coldness and ambivalence of some of the staff at this place. Joyful Dog went above and beyond, and immediately rescued our dog while we were away.Even though our dog only stayed here for around 4 days, creature comforts insisted on charging us the full amount - for all 10 days - which, mind you, is not cheap (especially as this is a “luxury” pet resort).Afterwards, we received a personal email that said something like “We hope your dog enjoyed his experience! It was such a pleasure having him!” Once the owner (who, although absent from this experience, I’ve heard good things about) heard, I’m sure they took every step they could to cover themselves.Although we won’t be taking this case to small claims court because it’s not worth the effort, we are certainly reporting the experience to the BBB.
We use them for both daycare and boarding. Our dog, Libby, loves going here and has always been well taken care of. The staff is friendly and loves animals.
Outstanding! Very friendly and professonal, would definitely use them again for pet boarding!
Staff went above and beyond to make sure my fur- babies were happy and well taken care of.
Merlin loves it and theyve accommodated me on short notice many times.
First class of puppy basics went so well! Cant wait for the rest!
Staff are the most caring and genuine around. Very knowledgeable! No better place for you fur baby!
The staff here is great and the resort is always very clean and well maintained.
My dog stayed for 5 days and enjoyed herself.
Kept are pets for three days. Very professional and proficient in their operations. Friendly customer service and management is very understanding.
Great place and super clean. Great staff
So far so good. Nothing negative to report. Seems like a well run business
They were very patient with my boebel because it was his 1st time in a kennel
My dogs had a great experience for the week they were at creature comfort! They stayed together in a suite with a camera that I could check in on them... they were definitely taken out regularly. Anytime I called to check in staff was great! I never felt like it was an inconvenience for them to check with other staff members how things were going for my furbabies ❤️ after their week stay they had bath and nail trim there and smelled fabulous coming home... we will definitely return 🐾Thank you! ❤️ Maple and Maia
They take very good care of the pets alot of options for pet care
I had recently brought in my senior pet Bella to this boarding facility for some overnight stays. I would have to say I am very pleased with how the management and owner Emily operate their facility. Bella had some medical issues while she was there given her age, and the way the management and the owner Emily conducted things regarding Bellas medical issues was very professional. Also, the facility is BEAUTIFUL and the video cameras are a major plus! Their prices too are extremely reasonable compared to other boarding facilities! I was also pleased with how attentive they were with my pet.
You can trust the folks working there LOVE the dogs & cats in their care.
Our Labrador Retriever loves staying at Creature Comforts. The staff is very caring and professional and the facility is clean and inviting.
I couldn’t be happier with Creature Comforts. Rudy is always excited to go there to play. He also stayed there for a week and was treated well by the staff. The staff is professional and courteous. I’ve recommended them to several friends.
Unfortunately, after this last stay, I have to revise my review.I dropped my dog off on a Thursday evening for a stay through Monday evening. It didnt start out great - the person who checked me in wasnt very pleasant, and chastised me and a worker when I stopped to pet a pup that came wagging up to me (If he needed to be talked to, it shouldnt have been in front of me). She didnt look in the bag to see what I brought, didnt count the # of food bags I sent.I asked to have him bathed, and told her that hed never needed his nails clipped, but that there was 1 nail on each paw that could use a trim. I told her I didnt know how hed react. She said if we cant do it, we wont do it. Fair enough.I also asked for half days of daycare - in the afternoon only, as he prefers to sleep in the morning and can be crabby with other dogs in the morning. I left and got on the road.About 1,5 or so hours later, I received a call. It was the young man who sets up the daycare. He informed me that my dog was previously kicked out of daycare during his previous stay for following other dogs. I asked if he bit then, he said no, but he wouldnt leave them alone and was spending most of daycare in a crate. He offered 1:1 sessions instead, and I asked that he gets a cpl hours of activity. I was then told that a 1:1session is ONLY 20 MINS. So, for who knows how long during his 12 day stay last time, he got only 20 ml ins of activity per day!!!So I asked for multiple 1:1s, and asked that he gets walked. I was then informed that they can only walk them in the yard they go potty in. My blood was boiling. I asked that he gets as much activity as possible and ended the call. When I picked him up, I asked the staff to have the owner call me. I received a text the next day from staff, telling me that the owner was unavailable but could they help.I said id wait for Emily to be available. That was last week. Still no call.So disappointed.
I dropped my dog off for a long weekend, because my usual space spot (which is -a 40 minute drive away) was booked up. I gave it a chance because it’s 5 minutes from my house. I will never go back and **urge everyone** reading this too look elsewhere. Without taking into account the paperwork and outrageous prices and upselling on things that are free at other locations, it was a nightmare. The first red flag was the horrible customer service. The second … they “lost my reservation” even though I called and emailed ahead of time and provided all the appropriate documents, forcing me pay for a more expensive room. Then, while waiting inline I heard an employee joke about not feeding the dogs. I took it as a joke…boy was I wrong. When I picked up my dog she was visibly scared and anxious to leave, running out the door. I picked her up in the late afternoon and she ran outside and immediately went to the bathroom , as if she had not been outside all day. After I got her home she didn’t go to the bathroom for days, she clearly had not been fed. She was anxious for days, which is very unlike her. They are so unorganized (I went home without some her her toes, but with toys that where not hers!) They clearly care more about filling rooms then they do about the well being of the animals. I could go on but it’s all too upsetting. I will never take her here ever again!!!
Poor customer service. Called for boarding for my pooch. Took my info and cc number. Then asked me if he had been vaccinated for kennel cough. I couldn’t remember when he had it last. I said I will check with my vet and call them back. My dog was due for it. So I called right back back and said I will have my vet board him because they will administer the kennel cough. Then they ended up charging me the 50.00 deposit fee. I called to ask for a credit but was told I reserved the spot. I did not reserve anything. I told them the days I would need. I asked to speak to the owner and was told she would contact me. She never did. It’s a shame because I liked taking my dog there.
Amazing stay for our 2 pit mixes that had never boarded before. Suite had plenty of space. Loved using web cam. We will definitely use this wonderful place again!
Awesome boarding areas, clean inside and out, Staff friendly
🐕 Dogs on vacation! Really clean / loved the web cam feature.
Awesome facility. Clean, kind, caring and friendly
Worst experience of my life!!My stay was extended due to weather! During the drive home we we expected to arive just after closing lady told me that we could pay 40 to pick up late pick up, Wich an extra day only cost was 37. As the woman told me that she said we can pick up at 7 am Sunday, showed up they wouldnt release our pet to us asked for them to call when we could pick up they couldnt have the decency to call I called and they woman said we scheduled to Monday which was never mentioned and was arguing that I was mean to staff and she was just going by the notes she had! All I was trying to get across to they is why would I go there if I extended it to Monday if I was not told I could!! Stay away they dont seem like they listen or communicate with each other!!!
A beautiful facility and a wonderful group of people who really care about the pets. I use to drive out to their Angola location. So happy they now have a place in Tonawanda since it is much closer to my home.
Great staff. Clean and caring. Good prices.
Best doggie day care for my unaltered male puppy.
I was really nervous about leaving my dog in a kennel for 3 nights... but the staff here were friendly and seemed to genuinely care. I had to pick my Mishu up early because I had separation anxiety. Lol. They gave me a report card for her which i thought was really cool. Glad i took her here. I would recommend it.
Took great care of my goldendoodle for 5 days!!! Will return!!
Never again.
Safe! Clean! Love it!!
These people are lunatics, dishonest and inexperienced with dogs
Clean, convenient and love their dogs
