Hartman Rd Dog Park

Nice dogs and nice people.feels like people are a lot more considerate of each other since the park is small and out of the way.regulars keep the fence patched and the area relatively clean, (as clean as you can keep a dog park).

This is one of the closest dog parks to our house and we go when we can to socialize our dog. The people are always nice who frequent it and it’s usually pretty clean. The only issue we have is that it’s pretty small and large or high energy dogs can’t really run very far before having to turn around, but it’s so cute and the neighborhood garden next door is so cute in spring and summer! We do tend to take our high energy dog to larger parks so he can run longer distances, but we come back here for the nice people and ambiance!

I came by today. The park gate isnt secured. Next to it seems gardening!Need work done. Surrounding has wide land. It could be good place for neighborhood to bring dogs for socializing. Definitely needs attention for government

I come here occasionally with my daushaunds, and everytime I do, the experience is pleasant. The other dog owners there are always friendly, the dogs are well behaved personality wise, and the park is also clean. There is a gazebo and several benches that owners / visitors can occupy. There are also bowls of water placed throughout the area for dogs, occasional dog toys sprinkled about and there are small pools of water for dogs to play / cool down in.

Lots of well behaved dogs that play well with other dogs. Gazebo and a few picnic tables for seating. Shaded and open areas.

This was my 1st time visiting this park with my 4 month fur baby (BUZZ) and I wasnt sure on how he would be meeting other dogs. To my surprise this dog park was alsome, its clean fresh water and doggy bags. I will definitely return!! And buzz was very good with meeting other dogs.

My girl Riley loves this dog park. We usually go around noon on sundays and there is always a good mix of dogs, usually anywhere between 4-7 dogs at a time. Dog owners are good at interacting with their dogs and the others. Pools for those dogs that like water, multiple water bowls, and usually some tennis balls. 🐾🐾

They have poop bags and water. Not to mention that all the people are super cool and nice. If you want so see other dogs there I would suggest going in the morning on a weekend but if you dont want many dogs I would say later on weekends. Weve never been during the week so I dont know how busy they are then.

Clean, cute and cozy little dog park! My dogs love to go there and run around for hours. Its just the right size for them and its never busy when we go.

Great little gem of a dog park off New Scotland Ave. Nicely maintained fence enclosed park with kiddie pools, gazebo, ball throwers, water, and poop bags. My dog loves running around with his pals at this park.

This is a wonderful municipally owned dog park off New Scotland Ave, and adjacent to the golf course. Generally a great group of dogs and dog people who make sure the park and patrons have the best experience possible.

Wonderful little dog park. It has shade, kiddie pools for the dogs and a really pretty garden on the side of it. Its great for hot days.. my dog can play and not overheat.

Great park for pups! Not every owner is as attentive to their dog as they should be, but there are very few real problems between dogs.

This dog park is HORRIBLE. The people who bring their dogs there regularly are not welcoming, lazy, and extremely judgemental. My dog AND husband got bit by another dog and somehow they blamed us. My dog goes to daycare and has never fought with another dog before. DO NOT GO HERE.

Majority of the people who attend are super great! However, there are some that are rude and have no idea how to control their dog. Beware what time/day you go.

One of the best dog parks in the Albany City Albany area it is located off New Scotland avenue near the Albany Capital Hills Golf Course fenced area water is available and a pagoda for shade and two picnic tables completely fenced in always nice dogs great place to check it out New Scotland avenue just passed Albany Capital Hills Golf Course or martels if you know that place great place

Wish something could be done about the easy flooding & mud pits. I mean my dog loves it, but my car doesn’t. Gets very icy in the winter months because of the lack of drainage.BRING BOOTS IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE OF RAIN OR SNOW, YOU WILL NEED THEM!

This park would probably be a wonderful place to spend a bunch of time on a sunny summer or spring day. I highly recommend checking it out when in the area!

Went early and had the place to ourselves. Was a great place to let the dog run a bit.

Many dogs. Some owners are in cliques.Others have dogs that are out of control.I used to be a fan of dog parks. I no longer recommend public dog parks.With the increase of dog attacks, I have come to understand that a dog park is a vector of disease and injury.When you do not have control over which dogs show up, your safety and your dogs safety are at risk.

This park is great, when its great.Sometimes there are folks at this park who take away from the experience.I have had many many good days at this park with my pup, and several really unpleasant ones.There is an unleashing area, and a water spigot at the rear side of the park.There are several water bowls in a shaded area of the park, and a jug to retrieve and fill them up again. There are almost always plastic baggies for waste, and sometimes there are some tennis balls around.Solid fenced in little area.

Its a lot of fun for the dogs they love it there every one that gos there are very friendly
