This place is pretty good. I bought a Yorkie puppy and have no problems with her. Shes healthy and full of energy. The only issue was that we went on a Saturday and the process for the finance company took nearly 4 hours. Thats something theyll need to improve on.

ZERO stars! Extremely overpriced pet shop and unfriendly atmosphere! Plus the Owner Gary is a real fast talking creep. If he know you want a puppy he will jack up the price. We bought several dogs in the past from here and 2 dogs developed cancer and died before age 9. One pup we have now had kennel cough and ear mites back in the day and he didnt want to hear anything. Plus his vet stinks. This same golden with the mites now has 7 l tumors in her. Thank God for now no cancer. Do yourself a favor and shop around. His m.o. is the puppies sell themselves and people are happy to over pay. Read all his reviews before purchasing a pup from this place. Fixes all dogs when they are only a few days old and expects to pass on all the costs plus a big mark up to you. I will never go back into this place again and feel sorry for all the suckers who dont shop around. Again shop around dont impulse buy. His bad reviews speak volumes. You can have a puppy shipped half way across the world for a cheaper price. You have been warned in advance. I hope my misfortune help you to stay away this place.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT walk into this store. My daughter and I walked in last week looking for some supplies and we had to walk right out. The stench in that place is indescribable, my only thought was that this is what death must smell like. I have no idea how the employees in that store manage to breathe and stay alive. After we ran out in horror, my daughter pointed out that one of the employees were eating. Eating in that stench! Gross! It took a while for us to compose ourselves and get that smell out of our systems. Never in my life have we smelled anything like this. I cannot imagine how much suffering any animal in this shop goes through. They clearly do not care for them or clean their cages, ever.

Should be negative stars!!! That jerk Gary should be punished for the way he tortures defenseless animals. I got my westie there 7 years ago and I only took him cause I didnt have the heart to let him die there. Good news though I nursed him back to heath with the help of great vets and spending $2000. So I did sue and won on a settlement. After a while ex employees posted that if a dog isnt sold after 6 months he starves them to death in the basement!!!!!!!! My guy was 6 months when I got him...no wonders he was so sick! Shut this place down!!!!

We were planing on getting a dog and because we didnt know better we went to this place first. And they told us that they only got dogs from reputable breeders and would never buy from puppy mills. Because friends told us to go to a shelter, we adopted a dog. Recently, however I found out that the HSUS did an investigation there and tracked the puppies to PUPPY MILLS. DO NOT GO HERE EVER, NO MATTER HOW CUTE, THERE IS ALWAYS A LOVING SHELTER PUPPY WAITING FOR YOU

On October 20, 2015, I purchased a 3 month old miniature schnauzer puppy at Tea Cup Pups Store. Shortly after bringing the puppy home, puppy started to act strange with signs of fatigue and constant diarrhea with blood. Next day with no luck of reaching the Tea Cup Pups Store’s Manager and or recommended veterinarian by the puppy store, I took the puppy to the local veterinarian doctor. After performing blood work on the puppy it was determined that the puppy had an internal infection and medication was needed. The following day (36 hours after bringing puppy home) the puppy begin to cough with stuff coming out of his nose. The veterinarian doctor urged me to bring the puppy back to his office to perform additional examinations, At that point the doctor advised me that the puppy has pneumonia and will need to be hospitalized for minimum of 3 days because it might be contagious infection. After number of attempts to reach Tea Cups Pups Store’s manager or owner, I received no call backs from the store to assure me that medical expenses that I incurred will be refunded by the store. Instead, during a phone conversation with Store’s salesman I was told nothing will be reimbursed because I did not take the puppy to Store’s Veterinarian to treat puppy at a lower cost.To make the long story short, I took Teacup Pups/A World of Pups inc, to small claim court. The case was ruled in my favor. I been in the process of collecting money few months now with No luck...... Best advise stay away from this store!!! The Owner and People who work there are bad people. Dont TRUST THEM !

My dog came from a place like this. Then I got him from a shelter after his owners abandoned him. These animals are not bred by knowledgeable, caring breeders. They just make cute puppies that grow up to have incredible medical issues. Do you really need a pure bred dog? Because you know shelter mutts are better behaved, healthier, and smarter. And if for whatever reason you do feel you need a purebred, if you can’t afford to buy one from a legitimate breeder, then you definitively can’t afford to take care of a sick puppy for the rest of its life.

Please read all other reviews, they speak for themselves. I have no idea how this store is still open and in business ... probably thanks to all other dumbasses like myself. My boyfriend bought me a dog here over 2 years ago. Thank God we SAVED the poor man from these torturous money hungry jerks. The owner saw that I fell in love with a dog and talked my ear off until I begged my boyfriend to buy the dog. The dog, Claimed to be Bichon Frise, was sold to us for $1600 which is an absurd price (we didnt know better). The dog is not a Bichon. The owner told me that by 2 years old hell be around 15-20 pounds, but the dog is barely 7. He is mix of God knowns what breeds and people always ask me if he is a Maltese? I wonder why. Let me know start with the vet friend that the owner sends you to. 2 days after purchasing my dog had a cough which I was terrified of. I brought him to ocean side animal clinic, as recommended by the owner of this PUPPY MILL and the vet went on to tell me that the dog might have cancer and I had to sign up for dog insurance provided by the pet store to pay for the extensive examinations and testing. I went for a second opinion and the cough ended up being a reverse sneezing which is common in dogs. These people will suffer down the line because they hurt dogs directly and thruthful human beings indirectly. Shawn on you.

Im not sure why people are posting false negative reviews. I NEVER leave reviews but I feel that I have to here. I purchased (then) a 4 1.2 month yorkie poo. The only downside of this place is that the dogs are extremely overpriced. However, he came with ALL his vaccinations and tests plus we also received a free 1 time visit for a check up at the vet that administered all his vaccinations and tests. The only shots which are optional we payed for was the lime disease shots and (monthly) revolution (heartworm + flea medicine). (We continue to visit their vet they work with (oceanside animal clinic) for our dog and our cats. The doctor and his wife (also vet) are very knowledgeable and they have the best prices for visit than any other vet.) I told tea cup pups exactly the dog I was looking for and they let me choose on my own. They were not pushy. They let you play and get to know the dog for as long as you like. I didnt get the most expensive dog either. He is now a healthy 6 month old puppy that loves to play 24/7. He surprisingly never barks nor bites. I also got all REAL paperwork. I took away one star because they were pushy with pet supplies because i couldve got the supplies cheaper at petsmart/petco but I had the choice to refuse as well. Im sorry that some people purchased sick dogs from here but guess what? That can happen at any shelter or pet store. For example: I got a 10 week old kitten a few years ago from the ASPCA (million $ funded shelter!!!!) and she died within 2 weeks unexpectedly. She looked completely healthy when we got her. Then we adopted 2 more kittens from there and they both contracted ringworm out of nowhere and I caught it from them too. My arm itched for a month. I had to return both because I couldnt keep up with the vet bills at one shot. To the idiot that said that they scam your credit card --- we split the payments for our dog with 2 credit cards and we applied for their store loan. If they care to scam, they would scam everyone and we wouldve been a target. Some people are just trolls and love running their mouths in the google reviews. People do your research on whatever you do and get to know your animal before you purchase (or anything else).

DO NOT BUY ANIMALS FROM HERE! At around Christmas my parents were in search to get a new addition to the family and they found this place. At first they seemed nice but they fail to care for their animals, my puppy and his litter were diagnosed with Parvovirus which is a very fatal disease that attacks the heart or the digestive system and killed his whole litter and nearly killed him. I would also assume other pups caught it and died also because one day the store was filled with pups and a few days later they were all gone and I doubt they were all purchased at the high prices they sell them at. They also work with a local pet clinic (86th street & 7th Ave.) who refused to properly help my pup when he was dying. Luckily, my pup beat the odds and cheated death but I highly advise to NOT purchase animals from this establishment.

If you ever even thought about coming here for anything at all, especially to purchase an animal, think again. The owners are such typical money hungry sharks. All they care about is money. They always have different people working because no one lasts beyond a week or two. The only thing worse than the shady management is the conditions they force their poor animals to live in. They sit in their own excrement all day long in small cages that barely fit one dog. They stuff 2 dogs in each cage and dont even have the decency to give them any sort of bed of soft surface to lay on. They look absolutely miserable. Its heartbreaking to enter this store. Not only are the conditions appalling but they leave dogs in the windows all day long with no food or water whatsoever. It was 90 degrees this summer and I witnessed weeks-old puppies left in the hot window for hours on end with no water. Would any caring animal lover ever do that? No, and thats because these people couldnt care less about animals. All they care about is MONEY. You can walk in and look at a 2 thousand dollar dog and haggle them down to as low as 5 hundred if you simply walk out the door. They will do ANYTHING to make a sale. If they charge thousands for a dog and are willing to sell it for a fraction of the price just shows that theyre overpriced, shady and couldnt care less about what theyre selling. Needless to say, everyone knows they sell sick animals. Its been proven time and time again that they sell dogs with worms, kennel cough and many other diseases. They treat their animals so horribly. Theres a reason why half the store was closed down. People are beginning to realize that its absolutely cruel to purchase anything at all from these crooks. I cant wait for the other half of this disgusting place to close down. Do not ever buy anything from this store and instead go down to the animal pantry on 86th street between 7th avenue and fort Hamilton parkway. If I could give them zero stars I would!

I recently purchased a Parti Yorkie with the help of Peter. I was extremely scepticle to purchase from this store because of reviews but fell in love with our new baby. After passing the store on my way home from work everyday for three years my husband and I gave in and purchased Oscar. He is the first dog we ever purchased from a store. Growing up my family always chose to adopt. Every dog does need a home so we are happy with our purchase. When we first met with Oscar he was sneezing. We were told he had a cold and was on medicine previously. After taking him home he started coughing loudly. We immediately brought Oscar to the recommended vet the next day and were told he had kennel cough. The vet gave us medicine to cure the cough which was $30. A few days later I stopped in to see Peter and let him know what happened before posting a crazy review that I was sold a sick dog. Peter and team were extremely helpful and caring. They even called the vet to have them reimburse us for the $30 medicine fee (the first visit is supposed to be free). After 10 days on the medicine and returning Oscar to the vet for another check up he was given a good bill of health and received his next required shot and heart warm meds. The vet also took $30 off our bill from the over charge of medicine. What I dont think many pet owners realize is that most dogs have kennel cough when they are in such close quarters with so many dogs. I myself was worried but after telling family and friends they all told me that theyve had a dog with kennel cough and its very common. I assume if you let it go something bad may happen since the dogs are so small. You must treat any illness immediately. Other than that Oscar is now 5 months old and thriving. We are so in love and take extra great care of our little baby.I could have been like other commenters and said I bought a sick dog but I dont feel like Peter and the store deserve that after the attention they showed my husban and I. We still stop in to say hi to the team and show them Oscar. We are happy with our purchase and although Oscar was extremely over priced he is worth every penny. We did spend a fortune on extra pet accessories that werent needed bc we were on such an adrenaline rush from meeting our new baby. The only suggestions I have is to do your research on the breed youre buying and accessories you need. Dont go over board bc you can always go back and purchase after you see what you really need.In conclusion I reccomend this store and Peter.

Completely false advertisement, no tea cups at all I drove 45min to this place for nothing it was a waste of time , I could not believe what I saw and smell if u not allergic to cats hair or dog you would have a sneezing attack, also the yorkie they show me were six month old and it had a huge cut on the stomach it was a girl that they brought it to me from the basement, I went into a tiny room and the huge yorkie was kissing me like it never saw a person before, it was dirty and smell , I am upset how they treating the pets there . Also I saw a white cute puppy in the window with two different color eyes which from my experience its a disease that is not treated with proper care. Be aware of false ratings from people on here they probably been paid to post it or they created fake emails to post fake posting, Im telling the truth dont wasted your time

I bought a 2 month old dachshund from here yesterday. They assured me the puppy was healthy, and even their in-house vet signed off on the dog being healthy. As soon as we bought the puppy home it was gagging and vomiting, it wouldnt eat or drink water. We thought it was just nerves.Later on the dog had constant diarhea, vomiting and still wouldnt eat or drink water. We took it to our vet the next day and it was tested for the Parvo virus and it was positive. They sold us a sick dog with the Parvo virus. There is NO way their in house vet did not know this. And the dog was suspiciously in the basement not with the other dogs when we bought it.I contaced the owner AIDEN and he said they would only cover the cost of the dog unless we brought the dog BACK TO HIM because he did not believe the dog had the virus and wanted to give the dog his own blood test. This sounded supsicious to me since I did not trust him at this point. My vet said the dog needs to go to an animal hospital immediately. I called and they will charge me $3000 for the care of the dog... (hopefully the dog survives!). AIDEN said he will NOT cover the hospital cost! So he KNOWINGLY SOLD US A SICK DOG and now wont pay for the dogs sickness.I believe if we brought the dog back the dog WILL DIE and I dont trust this place so I am taking him to the animal hospital of my choice.I will take AIDEN and this business to court because my Vet said there is no doubt the dog was sick when I bought it.DO NOT BUY PUPPIES FROM THIS STORE !!!!

They sell dogs with the Parvo virus and they are all from puppy mills. Parvo virus us extremely contagious.Canine parvovirus is a highly contagious viral disease that can produce a life-threatening illness. The virus attacks rapidly dividing cells in a dog’s body, most severely affecting the intestinal tract. Parvovirus also attacks the white blood cells, and when young animals are infected, the virus can damage the heart muscle and cause lifelong cardiac problemWhat Are the General Symptoms of Parvovirus? The general symptoms of parvovirus are lethargy, severe vomiting, loss of appetite and bloody, foul-smelling diarrhea that can lead to life-threatening dehydration. How Is Parvovirus Transmitted?Parvovirus is extremely contagious and can be transmitted by any person, animal or object that comes in contact with an infected dogs feces. Highly resistant, the virus can live in the environment for months, and may survive on inanimate objects such as food bowls, shoes, clothes, carpet and floors. It is common for an unvaccinated dog to contract parvovirus from the streets, especially in urban areas where there are many dogs. How Is Parvovirus Diagnosed?Veterinarians diagnose parvovirus on the basis of clinical signs and laboratory testing. The Enzyme Linked ImmunoSorbant Assay (ELISA) test has become a common test for parvovirus. The ELISA test kit is used to detect parvovirus in a dog’s stools, and is performed in the vet’s office in about 15 minutes. Because this test is not 100% sensitive or specific, your veterinarian may recommend additional tests and bloodwork.Which Dogs Are Prone to Parvovirus?Puppies, adolescent dogs and canines who are not vaccinated are most susceptible to the virus. The canine parvovirus affects most members of the dog family (wolves, coyotes, foxes, etc.). Breeds at a higher risk are Rottweilers, Doberman pinschers, Labrador retrievers, American Staffordshire terriers and German shepherds. How Can Parvovirus Be Prevented? You can protect your dog from this potential killer by making sure he’s up-to-date on his vaccinations. Parvovirus should be considered a core vaccine for all puppies and adult dogs. It is usually recommended that puppies be vaccinated with combination vaccines that take into account the risk factors for exposure to various diseases. One common vaccine, called a “5-in-1,” protects the puppy from distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirus and parainfluenza.Generally, the first vaccine is given at 6-8 weeks of age and a booster is given at four-week intervals until the puppy is 16-20 weeks of age, and then again at one year of age. A puppy’s vaccination program is not complete before four months of age. Older dogs who have not received full puppy vaccination series may be susceptible to parvovirus and should also receive at least one immunization. Consult with your veterinarian about how often your dog will need to be revaccinated.Because parvovirus can live in an environment for months, you will want to take extra care if there has been an infected dog in your house or yard. Some things are easier to clean and disinfect than others-and even with excellent cleaning, parvovirus can be difficult to eradicate. Parvo is resistant to many typical disinfectants. A solution of one part bleach to 32 parts water can be used where organic material is not present. The infected dog’s toys, food dish and water bowl should be properly cleaned and then disinfected with this solution for 10 minutes. If not disinfected, these articles should be discarded. You can also use the solution on the soles of your shoes if you think youve walked through an infected area. Areas that are harder to clean (grassy areas, carpeting and wood, for example) may need to be sprayed with disinfectant, or even resurfaced.
