They shaved our dog, and we were completely shocked. Wish they would have called to tell us they couldnt do the trim as planned and at least give us the chance to understand why shaving all his hair was required. And now months later his winter coat is not growing in properly.

Finally — a high-quality, empathetic and caring doggy daycare that serves the PLG/Crown Heights neighborhoods! My 1-year old puppy has A LOT of anxiety, nervous energy and stranger danger. She is typically terrified of meeting new people and dogs. On the first day I took her in for her free 1-hour daycare evaluation, she was so shy and scared of going in. It took her a while to settle in. I wasn’t sure if she was going to want to come back, but I decided to try.The next day I took her back, she was pulling hard on the leash to go inside so she can play with her new friends. She didn’t even say goodbye to me or look back, she just bolted off with her new puppy buddies and ran around in circles. Seeing how comfortable and confident my puppy had become with the staff and the other dogs at Brooklyn Paw House made my heart melt. Normally she doesn’t let new people in her space, but the owner and staff at Brooklyn Paw were so kind to her that she was jumping up on them as if they were all long-time friends.I’ve quickly become a fan and take my pup here 3X per week now. She loves it and comes back home tired and chilled out, all her crazy puppy energy has been exhausted.Other things I love about Brooklyn Paw (aside from the wonderful, caring staff) are that the facilities are clean, the pricing for a 10-pass daycare package is reasonable, and I love following their instagram for live updates. Highly recommend!

Excellent grooming services! We just moved to the neighborhood and needed to find a new groomer after our long time groomer passed away. We are so happy we found BK Paw House. Not only was the groomer kind and compassionate but they groom only one dog at a time so your pup gets undivided attention. My pup came home looking beautiful and smelling fresh with adorable bows in her hair. The cut was exactly what I asked for! She got the deluxe groom and her nails and ears were impeccably trimmed and cleaned. I am so happy with the service we received and will be making this our new groomer. Thank you Brooklyn Paw House!

Jaxton was extremely matted, he gets temperamental when getting groomed as well and after many failed appointments at other places who refused to take him. 🙄 We were finally able to get groomed with Brooklyn Paw house. Im so pleased that they have weekend openings as I work during the week. The staff was very pleasant. They evened called to let me know that he needed more time. I was nervous they were calling to pick him up, because he couldnt finished. They were done the time they said, he looks like himself again!. So pleased they took their time with him. Even with his snippy self. His groomer who I didnt get her name. But your a blessing!. Thank you!! We will be back!

I love Brooklyn Paw House and so does my pup. I live in the area so it’s nice to have a place that I can go to for everything with my busy schedule. I’ve used their grooming, daycare and boarding services. My puppy is only 6/7 months and never wants to leave when he comes here lol. He even starts to pick up the pace when we’re walking over once he recognizes that we’re going there! Staff is amazing too. It’s great to know that my pup is always in good hands.

Took my dog ziggy here for the first time, they blew away my expectations with his hair cut! I ask for a bit of a particular hair style for him since he is a chinese crested powderpuff, but they really nailed the look exactly how I wanted it. I used take ziggy to groomers in manhattan which are very good but nearly double the cost and I live really close to Brooklyn Paw House, so I will only be coming here from now on! Plus front desk staff were lovely, just a great experience :)

Such a great addition to the neighborhood! I like their space, so open and welcoming. Nicely decorated and they carry a good range of products in their pet boutique, including dog and cat food, toys, leashes, cbd for pets, treats, vitamins...they even have hand made pet clothes! Self serve wash station is awesome. Their groomers are magicians who transform mops into cute lil doggos. Seriously. Go check it out. Bring your pooch. They have treats. 🐶🐕🐩. They even have treats for humans. ☕

Keep in mind they told me I need to pay extra next time if Im late to pick up my dog. I was only 10 minutes late in picking up my dog. I attempted to call multiple times to try and reach the groomer but they never have a receptionist within their facility. Thankfully the groomer was outside for a smoke break and that’s when I was able to retrieve my dog. I will be looking for another place for grooming as PetCo has always treated my dog well and have much more affordable prices.

This is hands down the best place to bring your pets to get taken care of. They staff is so amazing and helpful. They went above and beyond providing me with professional advice on what I should do for my puppys first grooming. Never tried to over sell me on anything, just what they felt was the best route to start introducing my pups to getting groomed They cared so much about making it an enjoyable experience for my pups it blew my mind. One of the owner stayed in touch with me and helped me get a sooner appointment that was more accommodating to my scheduled and situation. My puppys look amazing they did an outstanding job.If this is your first time being a animal owner. Their website is so detailed with step by step instructions on how to register and create a new account and upload all of the necessary documents. My puppys have found a great home for their grooming and caring. Also, Brooklyn Paw House offers so many more services than just grooming. Go stop by and introduce yourself to the lovely staff and after a few minutes you will fall in love and know that you have found a great place to bring your animal companions. A+++

I had a little bit of trouble finding the entrance as I didnt see a sign but luckily the lady flagged me down. I asked for a lion cut with full mane and to leave the tail for our long haired cat. I dont love having her shaved down but the vet recommends it. The groomer did an excellent job and she came out perfectly smooth! The first groomer we took her to did a patchy job and left streaks and I thought that was just how cat grooms go... Not so at Brooklyn Paw House! Very happy with the professional groom and good price.

My dog Lily gets her grooming at Brooklyn Paw House. All of their groomers are excellent and Lily never fusses to go with them. I highly recommend.

I tried 2-3 places in Brooklyn, I refuse to bring my dog to other place but Brooklyn Paw house. Great staff, owners are understanding and caring. My dog loves is here, they do not take any dogs they first go though an evaluation which I appreciate because not all dogs are friendly with others! Def will be back!

Had a really awesome first grooming experience here. Brought my puppy in for his first grooming today, and Elena the groomer was kind and professional and the grooming person at the front desk was warm and helpful.90 minutes later I came back and picked up my puppy and he looked sooooo good and fresh. They took great care of him and I am so grateful they also have puppy social on Sundays and daycare options.The app you can use to make appts and pay is also very tech savvy, and I’m just grateful this local gem exists 🙏

This was our second time visiting. I am always hesitant to have my baby groomed outside of his vet because of his heart failure and temperament when it comes to his paws, but what an amazing experience he had again! He didnt even want to leave! Im so thankful and pleased!

Fantastic grooming experience! My dog is anxious around strangers but they knew how to handle him. When I came to pick him up, he looked like a movie star, and smelled like heaven. They even gave him a little scarf (which he now loves to play tug with). Cant wait to go back.

Ive been taking my dog here for years, since before they moved to their other location and recommended them to multiple people I know. Unfortunately I was extremely late on my 4:30 appointment today and tried to ask if I could bring my dog in for a later time or reschedule at about 4:56. They were just very nonchalant and unsympathetic because I wasn’t able to call 24 hours before my appointment. I’m personally disappointed because I’ve had many fine grooming with them and I never asked for my money back, just for my $49.00 to please be applied to another appointment. The owner informed me that my deposit would be given to the groomer to compensate for their time (time they didn’t spend grooming my dog). After supporting them for years and through covid, I would expect more empathy.

I recently took my beloved Scrappy to Brooklyn Paw House, and I must say the experience was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted very kindly and proactively. Our nervous little rescue dog Rosie hates going to the groomers, but the people at Brooklyn Paw House take such good care of her that we know she is in great hands. They also run low-cost vaccine clinics every month or so, which is great for the local community. The only one-star reviews on here are fake (notice how the reviewers don’t have photos and have only ever given one review each?) so you can ignore them. Five-star service, five-star staff. We love the Brooklyn Paw House and we’re so glad they’re in the neighborhood.

Paw house has always been a place that I feel can be described in two words “trust” and “care”. My experience boarding my Bernie was very good and my pup came back happy and content. My cat Bussie goes for nail trimmings and I have witnessed how they deal with my scamp of a cat. Great staff. Attentive to animal and pet parents.

Lovely owners Kena and Ash make this place special. Ive been using their dog walking service, Ditmas Paws, for a while and got to know and trust them then. They work incredibly hard and are just solid, creative, kind humans. Wish there were many more people like them in the world.

The groomer exceeded all my expectations. They were professional, attentive and gentle with my furry friend. My Daisy looks and feels fantastic after a grooming session. I highly recommend it! 🐾 🚿 ✂️

Wish I could give 0 stars really, dog started coming home with small cuts at first until one time he came home and his foot was bleeding non stop. The groomer never once let us know if he was nicked during his appointment and when we called to say what happened all she did was give us a number for a vet.

Great people and staff.. The owners r amazing. They truly care about the animals. The facility is spotless and clean. The staff is great. They did a great job on grooming our beloved Scottish fold. I travel over an hour away from Staten Island and wouldn’t go any other place.

I took my recently adopted dog Benny for his first groom there and they did amazing! The facility was clean, all of the employees were professional and friendly, and my dog looks and smells AMAZING. He came out in a bow like a present and it was the sweetest ever. I occasionally give him baths at home but they got him so soft and smelling so great without any anxiety. I cant wait to go back and I recommend highly!

Been bringing my little Cookie here since she was 5 months. She has crazy puppy energy and is very restless , but Jenny always does an amazing job grooming her. She comes home happy , smells amazing and looks fabulous. This place is out of our way, but we take that trip because they’re amazing. 100% recommend.

This place is a community resource. Family run, and they treat your pets like family. Our pup is a regular in their daycare, boarding, and grooming, and I know I can trust them to care for her in whatever capacity I need. They have been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. Truly recommend then in every way.

I refuse to take my puppy to any other location Brooklyn Paw house is amazing. The first time I walked in the door to multiple visits I have no been disappointed with service. Ash cares for pups and treats them with love and his wife is caring and listens to what you have to say and gives great advice. I will forever be part of this establishment. Keep up good work!!!

I live in the area and Ive read wonderful reviews about this place, so I booked an appointment for my dog (basic bath + trimming). They have a pretty busy schedule so you might need to book a lot of weeks ahead but usually thats a good sign.Overall, my dog was treated very well: the person in charge of him was friendly, professional and did a thorough job.My personal experience, however, was not so great: I had to wait more than 40 minutes past the pick-up appointment time. No one called me to tell me that they were running late, neither they offered any kind of compensation.They have a strict policy in case a client runs late (and I agree with that) but apparently it doesnt apply to them as well.

Brought our newly adopted girl Daisy in for a groom and she came out with a nice shiny coat and smelling amazing. I was impressed with how efficient everyone was, and with the quantity and quality of pet supplies available. The prices were also really good for the type of service. I chose this spot because of location and its wife, husband and child owned...went once with puppy and my husband was and still is annoyed that someone cut my puppy while they were grooming him.But...Because of locale...Im taking my pup back to this same spot this week for a deluxe grooming. Extremely rude, apathetic and disrespectful staff. They wouldnt even bother taking a look at my dog before banning him from this place because they think he wasnt neutered the right way. Its one thing to wait for paperwork but to outright deny services because I feel uncomfortable is unacceptable. Dont work with dogs if you dont feel comfortable and learn how to speak with people if youre going to work with the public. I understand that there arent many pet boarding places in the area and I think thats why they were so rude but hopefully that changes soon because these people should not be in business with the way they treat their customers

Im having mixed feelings about leaving the review because I feel some sort of a way. I have two fur babies...one of which has a bark that is high pitched when excited. Before I got him, my older dog was a good fit for daycare and boarding as shes less vocal than he his. I was disappointed to hear that because of his high pitched (non-aggressive) barking that he wouldnt be a good fit for boarding. He gets excited when he sees other dogs...it wasnt an aggression problem and hes calm at home. There wasnt an attempt to even try to board him overnight, this was just based on his daycare interactions. Im disappointed as I wanted to support a local neighborhood business but obviously it wasnt a good fit according to whomever I spoke with. I really liked coming before this encounter, but now I have to consider other options. I dont feel welcomed anymore.7/13/21Hi its me again...Thank you for your very detailed, long response. This is the first Im hearing Ginger was ever an issue...good to know. My review is what it is...this is what I felt and that was my experience. Im new to the whole doggy daycare experience. I was frustrated because as you remember I was extremely pregnant and trying to set something up for when I would go into labor. I know Mango is a challenge, his barks can be a bit much when hes excited. I just felt like there was no compassion given the fact that my sole purpose for boarding was because I was literally due to give birth any time then and I was hoping for some consideration given the fact that I had some type of history with you guys. Instead I felt written off. I view my dogs as children...imagine if I would send my child to daycare and they told me he couldnt be accommodated because he cried too much? That would be...distressing. And thats how I felt. What conversation should I have had with you after you guys said he was too loud? Should I have begged? I was pregnant, and didnt have time for that. Now that I have given birth...I really had time to reflect and I just didnt like the way it was handed. Thats my opinion. You have your business and chose to run it and make accommodations as you see fit. Lets just end it here. And I apologize for any disruption that my dogs have caused to your business, staff and other dogs.

Brooklyn Paw House is wonderful! Everyone there is so friendly, and they treat our dog like a star. Shes generally nervous about going to the groomer, but shes had a great experience with BK Paw House every time. Were so glad theyre in the neighborhood!

Cant recommend Brooklyn Paw House enough! I have a large Goldendoodle and theyre great with making sure you have enough time booked. He looked great after the deluxe grooming, and the a la carte services are a super efficient way to keep him maintained between grooms. Everyone here is so kind, and its the first groomer where my nervous pup hasnt had nicks or cuts after a haircut. 10/10!

The best place for high quality dog food. We get our goat milk, bone broth and frozen marrow bones there. They also provide Day care services, boarding and grooming. The owners are amazing and really educated in what there selling. Come here NY you wont regret it.

This review is more of a PSA for if you have a dog that does not do well around other dogs. When I called to make my appointment, I spoke to two different people and I explained that my dog is very reactive around other dogs and I was assured multiple times that she would be the only dog there. I waited over a month for an appointment only to bring her in and find a place full of dogs and a groomer that wasnt comfortable handling our large dog. They run a dog day care right where the grooming happens and two dogs are groomed at the same time. When they say they are used to handling reactive dogs and keep them separated, that is not the case. Unfortunately I cannot speak to the actual grooming because after waiting a month, we were unable to get her groomed there.

They are absolutely amazing here at Brooklyn Paw House. We have taken our very high-energy Pit mix puppy here for boarding and daycare and they are so great with her. After trying our luck with a couple walkers and other daycares, they are now our go-to in the neighborhood and cant recommend them highly enough!

Nice and cozy place. They seemed to know their regular clients very well. I used the wash station for my mastiff, easy to use and she was able to jump in. Thought the water shampoo system was too watery but did a good enough job. Would come back again. The receptionist seemed a little prejudiced against my dog when we first walked in.

The grooming done to my pet was awesome. The staff are very friendly and I lhe the convenience of the grooming boutique to my apartment. This was much needed in Flatbush. I have a yorkie, by the way. I believe they offer boarding as well. There is a also a self serve station to wash your pet, but Im unsure regarding the details about it. I hope theyll be open for a long time, I really like this place.

They are always stocked with the necessities and are available for so many different services. From grooming to vet visits to boarding. Brooklyn Paw House is the real deal. Centrally located in Brooklyn and easy to get to, the area was definitely underserved when it came to pet services until they opened up shop about a year or 2 ago.This place offers grooming, daycare and boarding, all of which I’ve used. Everything is top notch. Grooming always comes out wonderfully. My dog is obsessed with this place. Heading over there is always entertaining. We could be several blocks away but as soon as he knows where we’re going he starts churning his legs pulling frantically TOWARDS the shop. He always enjoys his stays here and sometimes it takes some convincing to get him to leave this place.Ash and his team are great and pretty knowledgeable. Ash is very helpful every time and always gives me great suggestions for food and treats (forgot to mention they have a retail section for pet food and supplies!). Him and Kena are wonderful human beings that are very helpful to our community.All in all I’d recommend this place to anyone. They genuinely care about our pets and our community. They’re an absolute godsend. And they have everything I’d need for my pet under one roof.

After having terrible experiences at other groomers, we are happy to say we have found our furever groomer Jenny! Our girl has never looked better. Jenny was super sweet and listened to all of our preferences not missing one! There is not a hair out of place, just a flawless job I must say. We picked up our baby in less than an hour and a half, no cages here so your fur baby goes from one station to the next! Chloe did not want to leave after her hair cut and was so excited to see the dogs upstairs who were there for day care! If you are looking for a perfect job, this is your place.

We had a wonderful experience at Brooklyn Paw House today for our pup Indiana! First off, we called the evening before with a last minute bath request for a Saturday and half expected to be turned down but Kena, the owner, was amazing. She worked to squeeze us in. The space itself is open, clean and modern. Kena and her husband were super welcoming and our pup looked amazing and smelled amazing post bath. He seemed happy and well hydrated when we picked him up and carried himself like a brand new pup! Thanks guys! Highly recommend. A note of advice-have proof of your dog’s updated records to send over before your first appointment. We appreciated knowing that all the dogs in the facility were up-to-date.

Wonderful service for grooming. We haven’t boarded up pup there, but if we ever needed to, we would. They have a person that literally sleeps in a bed with the dogs and they allow the dogs to roam freely in the penned area. Will crate your dog if you request, but try don’t crate by default.

I recently boarded my dog here for 7 nights. The staff was very friendly and informative. I was able to keep up with Ace via Instagram posts, which was really nice. He also got a good bath before coming home. Highly recommend.

They NEVER let me down. Super friendly, understanding local family business. They have great dog supplies & top notch groomers. Whenever I take my dog there for a hair cut he looks like a million bucks when hes done.

I cannot rave about Brooklyn Paw House enough and am thrilled with our experience. I am a new pet parent and am inexperienced as far as haircuts go (I was absolutely upset with my experience at Pet Smart 6 weeks ago). My dog is a dachshund/beagle mix but leans more towards beagle hair & sheds a lot! Owners Ash and Kenna helped me better understand my little guys needs & helped me pick the right treatment for him.They also specified what they would never do as to not hurt my pup or damage his skin. This is IMMENSELY important to me. I dont want the people I work with to do what I want blindly- especially when I am uneducated. Ash & Kenna are the educated individuals you want to pamper your pup and help you along your way to parenting bliss.It actually looked like my dog lost weight after their desheding profess (photo attached). I cant believe the results.Price point beats everything else we have tried. This is a fantastic bang for your buck. Forget about the big box stores. This is your BK spot. You have my business for life! Thanks Again!

Very unprofessional. I showed up for my grooming appointment and the store was just closed and no one ever reached out to me or responded to my calls or texts. They even confirmed with me the day before and I am still charged for the downpayment. I have been trying to get in contact with them for about a week now and still no response from the owner about resolving the matter.

We are so happy with Luckys haircut. Jasmine is an incredible groomer who is extremely professional and so friendly with the dogs. We will definitely be coming again and would recommend her to all our pawrents! Also kena and Ash have such a beautiful store setup - they answered all of our questions and even provided great food and treat recommendations for our cat and dog. We look forward to shopping at their store for all our future pet needs!

This place is an excellent all purpose pet care store. Both Ash and Kena are Brooklyn born folks with big hearts and a real passion for animal care. I am so proud to have met them first as dog Walkers then second as my go to for just about anything dog related! Will definitely be returning! Definitely recommend!

I have found our new neighborhood groomer. The location is only a 15 minute walk from where we are. I was greeted immediately upon entering. The groomer did an amazing job with her haircut and talked to me about different things to try for Macie. I would highly recommend Brooklyn Paw House.

We love Brooklyn Paw House! Grooming is always spot on and I feel so comfortable boarding our morkie with them. You can tell they really care about the animals and its obvious theyre all happy to go there.

Wow Brooklyn Paw House worked magic with my baby! I was having such a struggle finding a groomer willing to take my baby short notice for grooming. Thank you Brooklyn Paw House for everything you did for Dutch. Hes a Senior rescue whos gone through a great deal of trauma and has severe anxiety and heart disease. He gets easily frustrated when he is touched for too long and doesnt like his paws (especially back paws) getting touched. But that didnt mean anything to this amazing team. They took such great care of my boy and made him look so handsome for his birthday! We cant wait to go back!

Brooklyn Paw House is a Ditmas Park treasure. They’ve been open only a few months and have already made such a huge positive impact on our community. Our pup loves coming here every day for doggy day care, and we have boarded him overnight as well. Kena and Ash, owner operators of Paw House, are kind, warm, welcoming, flexible, and overall amazing people. The space is large, clean, and comfortable for the dogs who spend all day. We are so lucky to have this resource close at hand.

Bring my dog for boarding and daycare sometimes but decided to try their groomer. All I can say is they really show how much they care about your furbabies. The owners are very nice and helpful, they will always be my first choice for my pets care.

We LOVE love love Brooklyn Paw House! So grateful to have this awesome family run business in our neighborhood. Ash and Kena are the best and have really welcomed our slightly skittish new rescue pup Nina on several occasions. She has done doggy day care there and even boarded one night and every time comes home so exhausted from playing and having a great time -exactly what we were hoping for. Kena has also given her baths, trimmed her nails, and even took care of her glands (:P). The products they have there are what they would buy for their own dog- very high quality food, treats, and other items. Highly recommend this special spot!!

Simply the best dog groomers around and trust me ive tried several to say the least!!! They always impress me no matter what i ask for they always deliver. Pawlee even loves going there which is an added plus!

It seems like it took you over a year to notice this review, no wonders why you cant find me in your system! Even though you are across the street from me so its convenient, I only was in your store in 3 occasions. Two of them to buy cat food that you highly recommended - which my cat didnt like at all and was quite pricey - and then one last time to get my cat vaccinated with Ezra... (I forget her name, sorry) and that was a HORRIBLE experience for my cat and myself. After waiting over 4 hours, I was charged for services she didnt provide.When you announced your opening on our neighborhoods FB page I was thrilled with the idea of having a pet store nearby...such a fiasco!I hope this clarifies why Im giving 1 star.-Guadalupe (customer)

We bring our dog Max here 3-5 times per week and couldn’t be happier with the incredible ambiance and service. Ash and Kena treat Max like he is their own dog, and he loves boarding with them when we go on vacation. Kena and Ash are highly knowledgeable about dogs, and make great recommendations about food, toys, dog socialization, and anything else you’d want to know. I wish I could give Brooklyn Paw House more than 5 stars because they deserve it!

Always a great experience . Really nice folks. FYI: Booked a bath on phone but when I got there, they said shampoo was extra unless you booked a deluxe bath...not an issue, I always get the same bath package (I asked for oatmeal shampoo because last time my doggie smelled like perfume all night long when picked her up) just remember to ask about that when you book your appt(if shampoo is included in a bath) in case you wanna bring your own doggie shampoo 😀.

The take such great car of your pet and such friendly people working but thats not even the best part. You will need to go there to find out because that Im not going to say.

Great place. Our first time here after our old groomer closed during covid. Excellent service, got the deluxe grooming service (bathed groomed and nails cut etc in under an hour), and my pup came out looking amazing and happy. Thanks!

I was interested in getting my dog groomed at this location, but was weary due to covid and my dogs personal issues. I spoke on the phone with one of the employees named chloe, and she reassured me that there was no need to worry at all! She answered all my questions wnd took her time with me on the phone. Customer service like this is what makes this business so great. Thank you so much Chloe for your help!!

They are very courteous and friendly but they snuck in some fees for things I did not ask for. The worst part is that they charge by weight so I thought I was getting one price based on the weight we had from vet and they charged one level up. Their way of measuring was The stylist lifted her up (no scale) and said she weighed more (our dog is a toy size dog). They did refund me for the added fee and size diff. When I complained.

Great pet spa. Took my greyhound twice there and really happy. Easy to schedule an appointment. They would always call to remind you. Super nice team of people who really care about pets.

Fantastic place to keep your pup. The staff is wonderful, the website for booking a session is super easy to use, and they post Instagram stories so you can see your doggie having fun during the day.

We love this place. We have boarded our dog here several times and they were always very nice and really good with him. They also groomed him several times, they do a really good job.

I understand my dog could be anxious but its also not fair for him to have a uneven grooming. He have long and short hair everywhere. Its very uneven. Thanks

Professional, competent, compassionate staff. Boudreaux can get anxious but his groomer remained patient and kind; you can tell they have experience.

I bring my dog here for regular grooming and leave him at daycare as needed. He has always been well cared for. Jennie does a consistently good job (he’s a poodle mix); outcome is always exactly what I requested and no nicks/cuts. I can also rely on my dog being ready for pick up on time. It’s a bonus that the owners are a local family that have been a part of the community since before their store opened. 10/10 recommend!!!

By far Beyond happy with the grooming service. After months trying to find the right place I think I’ve found it. He was matted and they called to explain that he would have to get cut lower than I expected. I asked them to do the best they can without making him bald (like other places do) and they didn’t make him bald. He looks perfect. Great customer service and great prices.

This place was a nightmare too deal with unprofessional staff and all made an appointment and did not get taken care of until about an hour and half after walking in would not have minded doing this but i was not even acknowledged until i asked will never take my dog here again

I don’t typically leave negative reviews especially for small, locally owned businesses but my experience with Brooklyn Paw House was really really poor.I was excited to bring in my puppy for her first ever grooming appointment and found the process of booking quite difficult. I had to call in a handful of times to complete the online registration and finish booking the appointment.My puppy has a mixed coat with long hair on top, short hair on the lower half of her body and feathering along her legs and tail. I booked a puppy groom & nail trim service that should have totaled $91 ($76 + $15).When we arrived the place was quite dirty and chaotic. The floors were visibly dirty, the phone was ringing off the hook, the front desk area was difficult to get to behind large empty shelves, the attendant did not greet us properly or seem to know what they were doing at all and it was extremely difficult to hear as there were several loose dogs barking incredibly loudly behind the desk making it impossible to carry on a conversation. I had to raise my voice and scream to be heard and check in for my appointment. The process was so jarring and poorly managed that I felt uncertain about leaving my puppy in their care. I was also confused as to why the other dogs were not properly enclosed in a separate area as this created lots of unnecessary confusion and chaos for both me and my puppy.When I arrived to pick up my puppy I noticed her top long hair was still pretty long. It looked like it had barely touched so I and asked if it could be cut shorter with clippers and they told me no because it would look patchy. Additionally they told me they needed to up-charge me for a full groom ($99) for some reason that wasn’t explained clearly. Wasn’t this something they should have told me and got approval for when I checked in? I know $8 is not a huge difference but this combined with the chaos from before and barely there haircut made it seem not worth it. Especially as a first time customer.I came home and immediately used clippers with a large long guard to finish the haircut myself and it ended up looking great (not at all patchy) so I feel pretty ripped off.Safe to say that we won’t be returning. I feel like I paid $100 for them to trim her nails and tail. The environment was chaotic, loud and uncomfortable. Luckily my puppy has a pretty good temperament but if she had been nervous or hesitant at all I don’t think this experience would set a good precedent for grooming appointments moving forward. I would not recommend using this place if you have a very reactive or sensitive dog.We’ll be finding a different groomer for her grooming needs moving forward.

I love Brooklyn Paw House! Ive been taking my dog for boarding for several years now. Hes a shy dog, but is always happy to see the staff there. The staff are all efficient, professional, and obvious dog lovers. They post photo and video updates regularly on their Insta stories, so Im able keep an eye on my dog when Im away. I highly recommend all their services.

I like this place! So efficient, great customer service and amazing staff. They treat the dogs so wonderfully. Each dog has individual grooming appointments. Jennie did an amazing job grooming my toy poodle. He looks great! This is the first place that actually knew how to cater to his curly versatile hair. However, they can be a little more careful and gentle because I do notice some cuts on my dog but I know my dog is a bit difficult and doesn’t sit still and will bite strangers. I will continue to take my dog here and will recommend this place.

What a wonderful and beautiful establishment ran by kind people. Being new cat parents my bf and I were nervous about getting our new young cat(Chino) groomed but Ash was so thorough and patient over the phone. Once we came in Ash and staff gave us a warm greeting and we dropped our boy off. We arrived a little after the 45 min estimate and He was ready to go chill and Groomed!!!

Ive been taking my pup here for the last year. Ive never had a problem with the groomers but the front desk is unprofessional and rude. They called me to pick up my dog then called me 14 minutes later harassing me that they are going to charge me extra money for being late. They were so aggressive with me that Im afraid of leaving my dog there ever again. I spent alot of money on this business and didnt deserve the treatment I received. I left an email with management and still have not received any apologies. Im so disappointed with this business.

This place is great! We bring our dog every week and she comes back tired from playing with friends all day! The owners are friendly and very accommodating with peoples schedules. They also sell dog food, treats and other goodies in case you run out

I was so happy to see Brooklyn Paw House open in my neighborhood, as there are currently no pet shops within walking distance. My puggle boarded there last weekend & he loved it! Owners Kena and Ash are super accommodating, personable and treated my dog like their own. I received picture updates during my dogs stay, which was so comforting while away. We will definitely be returning!

Got our large labradoodle groomed today. The owner and the groomer were both very friendly. Will definitely use again for grooming.
