Undoubtedly the best doggie day care around! Absolutely trust them with my dog Rufus whenever I am away. They are kind, compassionate, and, most importantly, invested in the well being of their clients. Cannot recommend enough.

This spot is a blessing to the dog owners of Bushwick! The employees here truly care for each pup in their care — whether at the daycare or on walks. They’ve set up great rules to keep the daycare population just right and have been enhancing the daycare since day 1. Great, communicative and kind team.

I recently moved to the area and thanks to What’s Up Dog, I had a seamless transition getting dog used to her new routine. I’ve used both the daycare and dog walking services 3-4 times a week and my dog loves it!! The dog walkers are prompt, provide updates on the dogs walk through their portal and they even add pictures on their “dog report card”. Prices are the best in the city and I definitely recommend!!

Marlo and I are grateful to have found What’s Up Dog. Although Marlo is a shy girl and still getting used to being at daycare she always does really well. The staff has been super patient with my anxious questions (this is the first daycare we have ever tried) and they often post on Instagram so you can get an idea of what the pups are up to that day. Marlo always leave POOPED and sleeps immediately when we get home. Listen, no place is perfect but if you’re considering dog daycare is Bushwick this place is pretty damn close. Consider reading the negative reviews before judging the star rating. Literally ALL of the negative scores are from people who were disgruntled that their pet was not accepted due to safety or behavioral concerns. Oh and there’s a seemingly unstable woman who is a neighbor angry about the dogs barking. Anyway, knowing that What’s Up Dog takes their members safety so seriously actually gives me even more confidence in them. 10/10 for What’s Up Dog.

Something shady is definitely happening here.My EXTREMELY friendly dog was rejected for not being amicable enough.Straight up lies. My dog could be getting mauled by a bear and he’d still want to be friends.Everything is behind a closed door. You can’t see what dogs are present or what conditions they’re kept in. When my dog was taken to the back for “screening” all the other dogs were screaming cries of despair. They did not sound like excited or even threatening barks and howls. Sounded more like they were being tortured. There’s Zero Transparency here. Shady, shady business. The pet store next door is shady too and they’re probably in cahoots. “Brooklyn Bark”? They don’t even show up on Google Maps. They just stole the name from the actual Brooklyn Bark. Probably to mislead people from their shady dealings.Stay away from this place. Who knows what transpires behind that scary closed door.(P.S. I was extremely nice and amicable with the staff person Katrina. With a degree in psychology, I pulled out all the tricks to butter her up. (Lied and said) convincing compliments and all 🙄. Even recorded the conversation via video because I had read the reviews prior to arriving and wanted to be sure I had receipts. So think again if you’re going to spout some MORE made up nonsense about how I came in being rude and disrespectful to your “mostly female” staff. You really think people have no intelligence around here huh? With an IQ of 116, I can assure you I’m not the one sweetheart. Hope you can sleep well at night with all the lies, discrimination, and unknown shady dealings weighing on your mind.)STEER CLEAR!::Update:: These people really out here spouting blatant lies. Socrates HAS NEVER SHOWN TEETH. 🤣🤣🤣I basically raised him in a dog park with all sorts of crazy dogs. He’s so passive he’d lay down and let his throat be torn out before he shows teeth. 😂Also, sure, closed door for safety or whatever you want to tell yourself. But at least have a window or live camera feed so dog owners can see what’s going on in the torture chamber. It’s 2024. We have all sorts of technology to not come off as dubious serial killers.TRANSPARENCY!What’s Up Dog: Truly the most idiotic people.

Whats Up Dog is amazing! They are so patient with our scared/shy pup and have made his transition into dog walking a breeze. We love that we get an email with pictures, notes, and a map of his walk every time he goes out. The whole team is so easy to communicate with and its really apparent how much they love their pet clients! We would recommend their dog walking, daycare, and boarding services to anyone in the area.

My puppy and I love daycare at Whats Up Dog. I have a very social, high energy dog and staying home with me during the workday was just not cutting it. Sending her to daycare a few days a week has done wonders for us. She loves going; goes right to the staff when we walk in and wants to head straight for the back door. Booking online is easy , and they are even super responsive on Instagram if you have a question. Everyone has been really nice and makes you feel that your dog is not just a number, but one of the pack.

Literally cant say enough good things about these folks. They really, really care about my pet. They’ve taken animal handling courses -They’re on time for walks -Their app for booking services is flawless -There’s a wonderful feature that gives me a little report of how the walk went as well as a picture w/ a time stamp to show when the walk started -They screen new animals at daycare very carefully to make sure my pet is safe. They keep me updated on my pets vaccination records better than my vet!I’m really, really grateful for Michael, Leah, Mary, & Martha for their amazing skills and support.

I was extremely apprehensive about leaving my puppy with anyone, as we are very attached to one another and I got him with my partner during the pandemic. My partner and I were going away for a weekend to visit family and one of my relatives is allergic to dogs. Needless to say, we were frazzled about what to do and crushed about thinking a night away from our puppy. We heard about what’s up dog through friends that have brought their dog here for boarding and daycare. Long story short, our puppy LOVES coming here now, even if it’s for daycare. The staff is super friendly, attentive to my puppy’s needs, and they adore him - and our puppy adores them! This will always be our go-to for boarding and daycare.

The staff at Whats Up Dog really love dogs, and have people skills to match as well! They really take the time to get to know your dog and let you know if they notice anything off. I appreciate their adherence to having all dogs in daycare up to date on their shots, keeping everyone safe and healthy! Our pup Bradley goes 1-2 times a week, and has boarded twice. I got plenty of photo and video updates, assuaging my own anxiety. Cant say enough great things about them--a most welcome addition to the Bushwick/Ridgewood/Bed-Stuy area!

Just starting taking my Pup Loki here after returning back to work full time. Dropping him off there and knowing he is taken care of give me so much Piece in mind. When it’s come time pick him up he sleeps the entire car ride home and is super lazy when we get home. He spends his whole day making friends and having tons of play time. They are always posting updates on Instagram so I get to sneak some glimpse of him playing while I am at work. I am so happy we found this place. I can trust them with my pup knowing he is safe and sound.

The staff is rude and condescending to their neighbors. We’ve asked nicely so many times to not let the dogs out before 7am, to not let them out nonstop for the first 8 hours of the day, to even just close the door so the barking is less loud. But we get treated with disrespect and insults nonstop from the staff. Today, we were told we should move away. We’ve been living here for 12 years, you’ve only been here for 4. Have some respect. Try living next door to this and put yourselves in our shoes, how would you feel if you were woken up at 12am, 2am, 4am, 6am and then nonstop from 7am-6pm every day 7 days a week? I’m sure you’d be absolutely miserable too. Please control your staff and have some decency for the neighbors surrounding you. There might be other businesses on knickerbocker, but all of the occupancy above those businesses are residential. Have some basic respect. It’s really not that hardI will be reporting this business nonstop until they control themselves and the hours they let the dogs out.* let’s not forget this business has blocked me on instagram after messaging them regarding this * SO PROFESSIONAL!

I can’t say enough great things about What’s Up Dog. Our girl literally runs in and wags her way through the door whenever we drop her off. The staff are so wonderful and I’ve never felt more at ease when it comes to our pup. She plays so hard here and truly loves all her doggie friends (they screen for temperament to make sure the dogs all get along.) We’re really lucky to have this daycare!!

I really wanted to like this place because it was recommended by so many people at the dog park but, sadly I am not a fan. My dog was officially accepted, yes, but apparently during the next 3 sessions (one being an overnight) our pup was put into a time out and on the brink of being banned. This is a dog that has some anxiety, which was mentioned, so he can certainly be a bit stubborn if being forced to do something. Other then that, he is obsessed with all people, and plays well with other dogs. Sadly I was not given much information at all on exactly what goes on behind their secret little door behind the little white entry way, and not much info on what my dog did or how we can resolve any issues. I basically just get a look of shame shame on your dog....I think he needs some work...so sorry....ok bye now.LUCKILY I found such an amazing place that took my dog in and loved him as much as he loved them. They separate their dogs by size and temperament which is very smart. He had an absolute blast and, besides a little growl once when they grabbed his collar, they said he was absolutely amazing and friendly. I even had him boarded their for a week and he had so much darn fun.I give Whats Up Dog 1 star because its right down the block from me. Thats about it. I dont know what happened exactly, or if they have some agenda against dogs that arent rescued and are from a breeder but, I will give this place a hard pass. Too much mystery and by looking at the videos online, seems like such a free for all with all the dogs together which can create fear and anxiety big time.Bye nowww

I was so sad when my dog didn’t get approved. We know our dog is not perfect but he never once attacked any other animal or human. We also take him to the dog park regularly but because of the bad weather he hasn’t been able to let out all the energy in about 2 weeks so we decided this would be perfect for him. Sadly the lady told us that Benji is great but because of the other dogs she wasn’t sure Benji would fit in. She didn’t really give a good reason in my opinion. My dog will be ready to go home with anyone that’s how friendly he is. Even at the dog park if a dog is aggressive he would back down. We took him to another place that same day it’s called Fido fitness and within 5 mins of him playing with other dogs they accepted him. They also have trainers there as I would assume they should since they are dealing with dogs. I don’t know if “what’s up dog” has trainers. I was really looking forward to Benji having a fun time at “whats up dog” but sadly that didn’t happen. I also don’t understand how can one place approve and not another. If a dog is aggressive then he’s aggressive anywhere. Even Fido(the other daycare) didn’t understand why he was not approved. The lady at “what’s up dog” was very kind tho and seemed like she didn’t want to disapprove Benji which is her right and I totally understand if she’s feels uncomfortable putting our dog around her clients dogs. I’m just giving my experience.

I have a very anxious rescue dog with a lot of human fear issues. If she encounters an unfamiliar person she recoils, trembles, or tries to flee. She basically doesnt trust anybody - it even took her a few months to come around to trusting me. It would be an understatement to say it was very difficult finding a dog daycare where she could feel comfortable. Then we found Whats Up Dog!The incredible staff at Whats Up Dog are probably the only people in the universe my dog gets along with - theyre all super nice and its obvious they care a lot about what they do. Ive noticed that they take great care in recognizing when certain dogs have specific needs and do what they can to provide individualized attention.Whats Up Dog has really done wonders in getting my dog to come out of her shell.
