Dyker Beach Dog Run

My dog is not fixed but he isn’t aggressive nor does he try to hump but I got yelled at twice for him just existing I don’t bring him anymore. Us just walking in a man yelled at me and left with his dogs. The second time another dog who was bigger than Ollie barked at him when Ollie ran next to him smiling. The owner yelled at me and said he shouldn’t be here and I left. He is the brown and white dog. Also my dog didn’t bark not once at the park nor does he bark at home.

Great dog park with lots of space for running and playing. Everyone was friendly and so were the pups. Keep an eye on your dog, it can get easy to get caught up in conversation with fellow fur baby parents. Water fountains available and hoses. Didn’t see any disposal bags around. Pretty good parking if you drive here.

Great park! Big area for dogs to run, separated area for smaller dogs, water fountains, and lots of trees (very helpful for the hot days!). We love bringing them here!

It was my first time here and I must say it was pretty great! It’s a big open space plenty of shade ! Loved the doggie pool!Only downside is not a lot of places to sit and they should have a lot more little pools and wet spots for the dogs in the summer!They should also have available restrooms for the doggy parents!

My dog loves to run there. Hang out w/ bros. Stays on his cell alot. So, after all his playing around, I usually give him a Milkbone and his fav ALPO..

UPDATE: I really like this dog run, just a shame from several factors. One is where its difficult to go there unless you live around there, have a car, or a small dog and go on the bus.Its about an hour walk from me so my dog usually just gets tired or too stubborn to keep walking. Another thing is you should keep an eye on your dog and make sure people do the same since when I would go there-a tendency for a fight to happen with other dogs was high.There have been other times where a dog would be aggressive but the owner doesnt want to leave or starts pointing fingers even though everyone saw what happened.Its great but only a place Id go if Im feeling like its a mood or after the vet thats nearby. Id also really would want to go there when there are less dogs. Also by far the only official dog run Ive seen in Brooklyn that has a lot of space.

Despite my puppy being a pittie mix... some dog owners are good with Bubba sniffing their dogs butts and playing with them... this is the only dog park bubba knows for now... its pretty clean.. pools, water fountains and hoses.. Bubba gets out here at least once a week

This is the best dog park I have been to so far. Tons of grass and sand for dogs to around in. Perfect place to get your dog a good work out.There is also a few trees for shade and very clean. The people are generally nice and the dogs too. I highly recommend this dog park.

Great spot to take your dogs to run around - my girl always has a great time running around and making friends. Theres a pretty large amount of space so different groups of dogs can choose where they wanna play. All the people and dogs Ive seen there have been super friendly and respectful.

My puppy had such a great time here and it was his first visit he got along with everyone and we will be going back .

This is a good dog park- its very large and spacious. For Brooklyn, Its a wonderful space to give our pups excersice, enrichment, and fun to stretch their adorable toe beans. However, people tend to lack control of their dogs. Its a lot of unregulated play and irresponsible owners. As a dog handler, I feel that if you are taking your dog to the park to play, you should be educated in general dog behavior as well as have basic obedience level training for your dog. Many owners here cannot even recall their dog properly. If youre gonna take your dog here, I would recommend going at a less busy time.

We really like this place. Its super close to home, so very convenient for us to bring my little girl here. I really enjoy coming on some early weekends after grabbing a quick local breakfast to sit on a bench in the small doggy area with my girl. She isnt too fond of the larger space & is very intimidated by the larger dogs. So the smaller area gives her, her own space & freedom to sniff around & not be bothered. She is a mini shitzu & rather spend time alone sniffing around or with some easy going doggy pals. I like the variety this dog park offers and seeing the other dogs playing together is nice & brings us joy. My partner and I stop by sometimes, without little girl, just to see the other dogs play, too. lol.

The dog owners are good. So you get good dogs. Big open park.

I love bringing my dog to this dog run. Its big, open, and very spacious. Theres a grassy area, sandy area, and a smaller enclosed area for small dogs. Theres also a water fountain and lots of shade and benches for people to hang out while their dogs play. Some of the grass on the outer edges can be tall, and sadly not everyone picks up their dogs wastes so be careful when walking in the grass.

We are just visiting but notice the dogs in NCY are very much better behaved and nicer. The small dog run is tiny and perhaps that is the reason all off the under 25 lbs dogs went to play in the bigger run with the big dogs. I liked all the people there and they just loved our Pugs. This was ideal for us.

Great place for dog lovers and their dogs. Theres a water fountain for you and your dogs. There are some balls to play fetch with there or bring your own toys, because thats not a given. There were plenty of dog bowls for you to fill with water from the fountain to use for your dogs. Bring extra bags or use the ones on the fence to pick up after your dog. Theres a separate small area for smaller, shy pets. Theres a few picnic tables and benches but they fill up fast on a busy day. Theres a couple small round mini kiddie plastic dipping pools, community donated, if your dog loves water. Theres a water hose with good water pressure to use as you wish as well.All in all an enjoyable stop in for you and your dogs. You and your dog will be glad you did.

Me and my pup love this park! The biggest dog park in Brooklyn! The people and doggos are very nice, never had any issues. The park is clean and so spacious my chihuahua is yet to explore it all even though we’ve been going there for a year. Being there is so relaxing and you can always find a chair or bench to sit on. Oh did I mention easy to find free parking spots? I drive here 20 minutes but it is so worth it. Favorite place in BK. ❤️

Awesome dog park with nice atmosphere and many accommodations

Probably one of the largest dog runs I have taken my dogs to. The dog owners are also the most attentive to their dogs out of all my dog park experiences so far. There is grass and granite pebbles (I think?!). There are some benches and seating for the hoomans too. There’s a small kiddie pool or two you can fill up for your pupper in the summer and when the weather is warm. There’s a smaller breed run gated off but the smallest pups can play in the big field too.

One hour here and witnessed two dog fights. Owners have no control over their dogs and do not care when their dog is the one causing the fights. Theres this one young guy with a sheperd type dog that is ball aggressive and fought one dog and the owner still didnt do anything and just kept throwing the ball. The dog snapped at three other dogs prior to the dog fight. When confronted, he got defensive.Another couple with a Shiba Inu thats reactive and all they did was call their dogs name when it was snapping and fighting other dogs. Please dont bring reactive dogs to the dog park, it stresses them out and theres other ways to socialize and train reactive dogs.I recommend going to Kensington or Hillside where the owners watch and are accountable for their dogs. They will step in to get their dogs when acting up and keep the environment safe for all dogs.

People are pretty good about watching their dogs and generally friendly. Big space. People clean up after their dogs. Only complaint is a bunch of dogs go there that are not fixed. Makes them a little rowdy sometimes. They have a pretty big separate area for small dogs too. So it works out.

Warning!!! Watch out for the young guy with a young German Shepard. He can be a nice dog but he does attack unprovoked and without warning. It should be manageable but the owner seems incapable and combative.Everyone else is cordial and the facilities are spacious and accommodating. Just be careful of who is in the park.

I live in Bay Ridge and travel to this dog park because it is such a great dog park. Its got a good amount of space for sprinting and hoses to rinse your dog off if you need. If your looking for a good dog park in the Brooklyn area look no more.

Certain dog owners didnt know how to control their dogs. My puppy was tumbled over 3 tines by the same dog and the owner still let her dog loose. Not to mention I moved my pup to the other side towards the entrance and the dog owner again let her dog towards my pup. This time her dog actually tackled my dog onto the group and we had to pull her dog off because she was not able to control her own pet.

Great location. I come here just to watch dogs play. Full of nice people and very clean. Everyone pitches in to keep the place looking good. Everyone obeya the rules for the most part. Just be respectful of each others dogs and style.

Used to be good..I came all the time with my pups. Energy has changed, ppl screaming at each other, owners taking no responsibility for themselves, their behavior or their animals behavior and treat each other terribly. Cliques form. Just all around not a good experience at all anymore.

Good place to take your dog. There are two separate areas for your dog. One for the general population and one for the smaller or shy ones. The majority people with dogs are friendly, but there are some that are stuck up dont watch their dog.

There is always a bunch of dogs in this park. I dont have a dog but i always stop by because my daughter loves them. Plentiful room and theres a separate area if your dont want to be with the general population.

Large dog run in the city. The plastic bags box is always empty so bring yours. Its muddy and not really clean so be sure to monitor your pets closely

My dog was a bit shy here. Hes small, and most dogs were large.it was our first time there. Its a beautiful dog park, and the humans there are sweet.

Its very nice and spacious and enclosed so you dont have to worry about your dogs running around. P.S. just please remember to bring poo bags so it stays nice :)

Dogs and their owners are very friendly. Lots aof space for dog to run. You could hide in a shade or get a suntan while your loving furry friend enjoying company of other dogs

Went this past Wednesday and it was nearly perfect. It wasnt too hot and there werent too many dogs. Our pups 🐶 loved playing with all that were there.

One of the largest dog runs Ive ever seen in this city.Really wonderful space for dogs.

I even went without a dog, and had a good time petting everyone else with my daughter. Nice people too. [My apt building doesnt allow pets, so I enjoy everyone elses lol]

I dont have a dog, but the dogs who go there always seem happy running around. There are separate places for big and small dogs to gather and water is available.

My go to spot every weekend with my doggo. (Havanese) Its actually 2 spaces, one for smaller dogs and one for gen pop. Friendly people and lots of space!

Great dog park. It is large and also has a separate area for small dogs. It is frequented by a great group of attentive and responsible dog owners.

The dog park is definitely big and very active with lots of dogs of all shapes and sizes.

Spacious area for dogs to run around. Has a smaller run if your dog likes a bit of isolation too.

Really big and open play space for dogs! Even a small gated area for smaller dogs. The park is open to 1am but there are no lights at all! There is a working water hose and fountain for dogs

I love taking my dog there. the only concern i have is that the entire park is not chicken wired. my dog is long and thin and could easily run through the iron fence if he were spooked.ive considered bringing my own wire next time im there but am going to reach out to the city parks to see if theres something that can me done.also over by the small dog area there is a large gap by the gate, not good considering how close this park is to high traffic roads.

Its where Umi runs and plays...the Dogs are GREAT, their Humans not so much, some of the Humans are MISERABLE but I will take their dog

The wire covering the gates in many places is falling off. My dogs can fit through so I had to keep one on the leash the entire time. It should be fixed.

Great for dogs . Pretty clean inside . Now starting to see some rats outside along fences by garbage. City needs to stop making bike lanes and start addressing rat issue. Always 1 person who brings aggressive dog . Watch your loved one closely.

I took my small dog here this morning. 2 minutes in the park, she was mauled by all the big dogs that surrounded her. The dog owners didnt do much to control their dogs.

Looked nice. I stayed on the outside because I didnt have my dog with me, and figured it would be weird to be inside the fence. Its nice to see a place designated for the k9s of brooklyn. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is the park was kind of blah.

It was a nice experience because of the spread out area. But there were chairs that were all knocked over for some reason???? And there wasnt anything for the dogs to really play with but I still enjoyed it.

Nice place they just fixed everything up about a year or so ago they put a water fountain for the dogs to get water and they keep it very clean also everyone there is pretty much the same people who go there all the time the have a separate section for smaller dogs and everyone knows everyone so that’s a good thing for everybody
