Great spot for your dog. The owners are respectful and kind. My dog Oreo had crazy fun for the first time today. Theres also a drinking fountain for the dogs big bonus points.
I really love this dog run because it’s really well-made. The surface is turf instead of dirt, it’s very clean and it has water for the dogs to have anytime they want. There’s two separate sections one for smaller and larger dogs. There’s a great amount of space here.I recommend taking the G/F to Ft Hamilton Parkway subway station to cut down the commute time.
My furbabies love coming here. I was nervous taking so many dogs into the park. But the regulars were very welcoming and helpful. Other newcomers were awesome to speak to. Great vibe for pups and owners.Feel free to say hello if you see us.
The Kensington dog run is a great spot for dogs and owners alike. My Lab Artemis loved the main area, and theres a separate section for smaller pups. Its clean, with water fountains for dogs and hoses to clean up messes. Everyone we met was friendly, both people and pets. Its a perfect place to spend a summer afternoon with your furry friend. Highly recommend for a fun outing with your dog!
I love coming here. Its such a welcome space in the area. There’s always a good mix of different sized dogs. It can get pretty crowded at specific points, so I tend to come either early in the morning or later in the evening. Even in the busy times, its good, but you have to watch your dog and others a bit more so there are no tussles.
The dog run is split into two spaces - one for smaller dogs and one for larger. Always lots of dogs playing there and the owners are responsible and attentive.I love bringing our little guy to this dog run
Best dog run in the area. I would avoid anything else. The place is clean but might have some dog pee smell in the summer. Owners should water down after their dog with the available hose.We met a bunch of people here and everyone is so nice. A lot of dog lovers.
Very disappointing that this is a “newly renovated” dog run. Prospect Park is giant, and this tiny dog run was all they managed to put together? As other reviewers have said, the artificial turf traps smells of wet dog and urine and was well stained. There’s no separate run for smaller dogs vs larger dogs. There is at least a hose and a separate wash area, but I would never use it. As per most dog runs in NYC, the idiot owners not watching their dogs make it not worth the risk. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
Very well kept enclosed area for dogs. All the dogs looked so happy. My dog would give this place 10 stars but I am only going with 4 because the location is next to a pretty loud and busy road.
There are multiple losers who hang out here with their gigantic un-neutered dogs who cause trouble. Generally everyone js nice but these few ruin it entirely.
Best dog park I’ve ever been to, extremely clean and there is a hose for the dogs. Dogs here are all friendly, would highly recommend
Its a great place, but gets packed quickly. Theres is enough room to expand the fencing a little further. I wish the parts department would consider it.
Great space for big and small dogs to stretch their paws. Love the new sun shade.
Great spot, but disease spreads easily between dogs. This is because anytime you put a bowl of water down, about 30 dogs will come and lap it up. Besides that it is very clean, but is much better at night when it is less busy.
Sadly, my puppy and my family had a bad experience at this dog park. If you have a large breed puppy I do not suggest to visit this dog park. My dog was mounted on by another dog and the owner did not recall. My husband stepped in immediately to remove the dog from mounting our puppy. However, the dog continued the attack causing about 7-9 additional dogs to react. I noticed no other owner stepped in to retrieve their dog and at that point I realized I had to help my husband and puppy escape the swarm. Unfortunately my husband was bit as a result and my puppy is now traumatized.People, please be mindful the responsibilities that come along with owning a dog. If your dog is misbehaving you should immediately correct the behavior and recall. Additionally, it is your responsibility to remove your dog from the dog park and de-escalate.The actual park itself is too small and absolutely not worth it.Parking is available to the left side of park.
First time here and I loved this park for my little guy. The separation of small to big dogs is good. Though if you have a friendly small dog its okay to let them run with the big dogs, its not suggested to of you know theyre not going to get along or dont like playing rough. Everyone is nice and friendly and so are the dogs. I let him play for about 3 hours and it knocked him out when we got home he had so much fun.
Really lovely new dog park. Has fountain for human and dogs and a hose for rinsing off. Nice fake grass. Ample seating. Very little shade and the big no-no is that there’s only one gate to get in (instead of the standard 2 gates) and it’s right by the highway making it very unsafe. Overall, a nice dog park though.
This is our absolute favorite dog park! Sections for both small and large dogs. Theres always nice dogs and people around. The astroturf makes it a great place to visit, regardless of the recent weather. There are water fountains available, as well.
Really great and new dog run. It has a large dog area separated from a small dog area. Comfortable benches and water fountains for both the dogs and their owners. And everyone picks up after their pet, which keeps the park clean (impressive for Brooklyn). Only thing missing is a proper bike parking place since some people, including myself have a bit of a hard time parking and locking the bikes, so that would be a good bonus to have.
Absolutely delightful. Took my Havapoo here last Sunday for the 1st time, he/we loved it😁 The ambiance is welcoming & dog owners are pleasant. I was blessed to meet one of the founders (Lynn) who was very friendly. I love the fact that there are 2 sections of the run: one for small dogs & one for the big boys. Conveniently equipped with garbage bins, water fountains & hoses. Well put together for community 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is a great place to take your dog. People are friendly and it is well maintained. It is decently lit at night too!
Our favorite dog run. Plenty of space, synthetic grass, water and friendly dogs)
Our favorite dog park! Love the turf, water fountain in fair weather months, and cement perimeter. Other parks we had to bathe our dog (and feet!) after but this one is dust free. Friendly group of dogs and owners. Makes the dust bowl dog parks look so bad..
I recently moved to Flatbush and I am so happy to have this amazing dog park in the area. I come at least once a day with my puppy and it’s such an improvement over the dog park in our previous area. Of course, my puppy loves it as well.
I love this dog park for the actual facility/space but have had some horrible experience with dog owners. The park is a shared public space but a lot of people get very territorial and start to act like we are in their backyard. I’ve had a multiple uncomfortable situations where I’ve left because of inappropriate interactions with people and not the pets as one would expect.
Very good Dog park! 2 separate sections for small, large and any size. Owners and pets are very friendly courteous and clean up after themselves. Strongly recommended!
I was pretty disappointed with this park! The pictures and reviews made it seem bigger and nicer especially with articles stating how it received a big renovation recently. It’s pretty small, especially the side for smaller dogs. Turf was ok, it had a strong smell of pee. It’s ok if you live in the neighborhood but I wouldn’t recommend coming from elsewhere just to check out this dog park.
Took my Vizsla there and had a wonderful time. Clean, lots of seating, and well-behaved dogs. Also a nice change of pace with dog-friendly turf instead of the typical concrete at most dog runs.
Well kept and lots of fun for my dog! Great place for your dog to relax.
Love how the big dogs are separated from the smaller dogs. It does get really packed when the weather is nice, but overall the dogs & owners are very friendly and welcoming. Always keep an eye out for the mischievous/ untrained puppies.
Very small dog run! Got kinda crowded when more people started showing up. Designated area for small dogs which is a plus for my puppy. And was pretty well kept. Did find a fee pieces of trash but thats NYC for you.
Nice location. Clean and well kept. Theres a dog water bowl fountain and bottle refill fountain. Theres a hose to clean a poop spot or to water down a dog for a quick cool down.
Our dog Poppy loves it here! Super clean and really safe for the dogs.
My dog love this place ! But unfortunately dog owners do not separate their dogs . Small dogs were in the big dog section and it caused my dog to be attacked . Small dogs tend to bark and go after bigger dogs a lot idk why maybe because they are scared of bigger dogs ? But with that being said why bring your smaller dog in a big dog’s area ? Big dogs can step on your dog a break something or worse . My dog was attacked by 4 or 5 smaller dogs because their owner had them in the big dog area and they wouldn’t come and get their dog I had to kick dogs to get away from mine . Luckily he’s a husky and his fur is thick he suffered no bites to his body but he had a injured paw . They need to be stricter on small dogs being in the big dog’s area .
Relatively small but generally good amount of friendly dogs there. Always smells awful like pee. Water fountains work so thats a plus.
If you dont have a dog but love dogs this is a great place for enjoying the view. Great variety of dogs in all sizes and good vantages for observing without joining the fray.
Great dog run, lots of dogs, clean turf. A little far for me but makes a great walk through Prospect Park on the weekends to get there.
I absolutely love this dog park! My dog goes crazy here and gets along with every dog. No matter the weather there are always dogs here rain or snow. I love it and so does my dog!
Big and small dogs have separate areas. Water fountains in both dog areas. There are benches too.
Great place to take your pup. It’s not huge, though, and it can get pretty crowded in the morning and on weekends. We usually come here at night and it’s much quieter.
Very nice dog park. Has an area for small dogs and one for larger dogs. Has water and plenty of room to run around or lounge in the shade
Great park and very clean. We enjoyed it very much.
I like this place, its easy to find and both the big dog run and small dog run are a good size for the bbn pumps to run around in.
Its a pebble filled corner with a good gate separation & benches but it a dust bowl ur dog will definitely need a bath after a romp in here
Great park with nice well-behaved dogs! Dog owners are also friendly and considerate. Would highly recommend for TRAINED dogs only.
Clean area , grass turf with big dogs and small dog area enclosed
This dog park is kind of on the small side, but the regulars are cool. Not bad for NYC!
Great place to let your dog get rid of all that excess energy. 2 Gated areas for big and small!!
I’m glad there is finally a dog run near home, well kept and water is always available but TOO MANY children running around and not every dog wants to be pet by children, it’s dangerous and it looks like a playground.
Beautiful little clean space for small and big dogs. A bit crowded on the weekend, but well try our luck during the week
Small space, including the dog run for big dogs. Artificial turf there traps the smell of urine. Quite disappointing.
Great little dog park for your buddy to unwind and enjoy the day . Water fountain for dogs and people also available !
Love it! Great little neighborhood park. Seperate large and small dog areas and watering station.
Extremely clean and well maintained addition to the south side of Prospect Park. I love taking my dogs so they can socialize. There is some nice shrubbery in the small pup section where my dogs like to explore.
Clean and well kept dog run
Great place to take your dogs! Not a lot of shade though, so I wouldn’t recommend going at noon.
Clean dog park with friendly people in Brooklyn. What else can you ask for?
Can get a bit crowded at times. A great place to let your dogs free off leash
My dog Urbie came here for the first time, he had a great time with his Instagram friend Moose. The dogs are mostly well behaved and there is running water. We will be coming here often.
Friendly patrons water fountain and hose for hot days. Two gated areas
There are people here 24/7, even odd night hours. Very safe since its next door to a 24/7 guarded NYPD patking lot.
Marvelous place for the doggos to socialize and chase tennis balls. Always heartwarming meeting other dogs
I don’t have a dog but walking by is delightful because the dogs have such an amazing time!
Friendly dogs and people. Water fountain located here but the turf gets a little too hot in the summer.
Great spot! I go hear regularly and appreciate the water fountain + general cleanliness.
Fav dog park in the area. Feels like luxury compared to all of the others
Great community that cares about our pet babies!!!
Best behaved group of dog owners ever but kinda smelly.
Super duper awesome dog park! Clean and safe for you fur baby
Small but popular. Great place to bring the dog(s) and socialize
Super cute park, nice benches, and always full of pups!
Awesome dog park. perfect size and super clean!
Good place for the dogs to chill and run around .Has one side for small and other for big dogs .
My tiny Maltese felt at home the first time he came here and he got a solid nap in too.
The happiest place on earth on a warm day.
How can you rate a dog run any less than 5 stars?
Beautifully maintained park. Friendly people, friendlier pups!
Love hanging out with the dogs here. Wish it had lights for night play time.
I love it so I go every day went I get a chance you will love it take a look for your self you will love it sha
Small, clean, safe dog park.
Clean and friendly dog run!
Decent sized dog park in a good neighborhood.
The park is nice, clean and comfortable. But people 🙄. Some people think they own the place and bring dogs that are not sociable. Also my dog got kennel cough in here. So be careful!
Amazing park for dogs, its clean and all dogs a friendly. I love bringing my little guy, he gets to burn off some energy and interact with other dogs
Cozy dog run with two sections, one for the big dogs and one for the little guys.
Nice place to take your doggy to socialize, and get some exercise. However the separation of bigger dogs and smaller dogs should be maintained a little better, but its cool! ( just my opinion)
Much needed dog run/park but it needs to be bigger
New! very respectfull according too most dog run🐕
Great place. There are separate runs for small and large dogs. AstroTurf, benches and in the summer water fountains for both people and dogs.
Its a lovely place with nice people.
I found a ring at this park on 9/24. If you believe it’s yours, please respond to this post with a description.
This place is lively, clean, and super fun! I just wish there was food spots around the area (bring snacks!)
Puppy had a blast
Much smaller than expected :( wouldn’t make the trek here again
Nice friendly people who really love their dogs
Love to bring my dog here
Dogs really seem to like this place.
Fun place super clean
Great
Okay
Dog park...... its simple!
Best dog park around
Ok
Woof woof
Good place for visit
Great Experience
People are friendly
Great for dogs
The park I quote is very nice, its just very small and especially in the area where many people have their pets, I think it would be good if they could place a larger one, perhaps in the prospect park. Im just saying. But even for small dogs this is very comfortable
Well
Quite a few furry people enjoying and playing.
