I adopted a dog through KK9R and they required me to train my dog through RescueTrainRepeat based on my address. Immediately during the first session, I knew that my dog Ziggy and I were in good hands. Andrew the trainer explained and demonstrated fundamentals while their partner Ken recorded videos. The videos were available later that day. The session was long at almost two hours, but I gained great knowledge. Andrew sets you up with a strong foundation using positive reinforcement. Their technique allows you to develop and grow with your dog on your own. Youll be able to teach your dog new commands without the assistance of a trainer. Its not easy work, but the payoff is enormous. At the end of the first session, and each session after, we were given homework, and we were given more confidence. We had another session a few weeks later. Overall the process took two months for a total of 3 sessions. Id be lost without their guidance. Their philosophy aligns with my own, but more importantly their character stands out. I was able to speak to them, over Facetime calls, over long text messages, during moments of difficulty. They welcomed us to group sessions and their daily morning walks. Their generosity, positivity, and bedside manners speak volumes about themselves and in turn the service that they will provide. Thank you Andrew and Ken, you guys have put Ziggy on a great path!

I have a five-year-old jindo mix rescued by Animal Haven from an illegal meat farm. Ive had him for four years, but he is still occasionally skittish and usually shy around strangers. Andrew has worked with Mars to gain confidence going outside at night time and not running away from his harness, and thats been fabulous. But the greatest service that Andrew and Ken have provided is the total comfort I feel when theyre watching Mars at their home/facility during the times I have to be out of town without the dog. Under their care, I dont have to worry about Mars wriggling his way out of his harness or shaking in a corner. They are the only service that I trust to understand Mars unique way of doing things, and Im so grateful for the service and comfort they provide to my and other rescue dogs.

Andrew and Ken are amazing! Rescue Train Repeat specializes in shy rescues but I would also amazing for puppies! They always advocate for what is best for the dog, and helping it succeed. We first bought a puppy package when we got our 13 week old 3 pound chihuahua. We really wanted to make sure we didnt end up with a yappy chihuahua, and heard about Rescue Train Repeat through a friend. We also wanted a trainer who could help socialize our pup since its difficult to find play dates her size.Andrew was always very considerate of our time when working with us. Since puppies cant really learn very quick or do much training for long periods, he really spend time educating us on impulse control and little things to build up our dogs concentration and teaching her things we could use in the future.Everything was very doable and if there was any doubt or question, he would do phone calls to check up and request videos of you working with your dog to make sure we are doing things correctly.Andrew is also great at catering the training to the dog and making sure we give the dog the best chance to succeed. He was super gentle with our chihuahua, yet teaching us to be firm. But I believe most of the dogs he works with are medium to large. He has lots of activities to help build pups confidence. Our pup is now 1 year old and she is wonderful and so smart! So is a little bratty sometimes but that really is our fault since we give into things. She becomes a different dog when she is with him and really loves any group session and pack walks. We currently are working on our second pup who is definitely more stubborn and a handful, but I know that working Rescue Train Repeat, he will be great once he are an adult!

We have an anxious rescue puppy so he’s always a bit nervous with strangers, but Ken & Andrew are both so incredible with him! Highly recommend them more for any training or boarding needs — we’ve relied on them so much and have always been so happy with how well they take care of our sweet dog. Will always come back to them!

Rescue Train Repeat has been such a gift in our lives for 2 years. Andrew and Ken are loving, patient, knowledgeable, and excellent trainers. We adopted our dog, Volvo, from Korean K9 Rescue and were assigned Andrew at RTR as our trainer. Andrew helped us navigate caring for and establishing a relationship with our very shut down and anxious sweet boy. Andrew was there to answer any questions we had about how to be new dog parents to a dog with a complicated past. Andrew helped us learn the best ways to train Volvo who was so shut down he was not driven by food, prey, ANYTHING lol. With Andrew’s guidance Volvo has grown SO MUCH! Through group training with “helper dogs”, Andrew helps to socialize Volvo with other dogs in a safe and understanding environment. Volvo is still a bit uneasy around dogs that are overly friendly, but has come MILES! He will curiously sniff stranger dogs and let them investigate him without any apprehension or snarls and has even made dog friends. Our journey with Volvo has been deeply rewarding and RTR has helped him grown and flourish. They are also just lovely, fun people. We love Andrew and Ken!
