What a great little hidden park for people with kids and dogs. We were out for a long walk on the waterfront and my dog was so hot and dirty. I was so happy to see the spraying water fountain and we went and played in it to cool down. I will definitely make this a more regular spot on our trips out!
It was normal small park with a splash pad area and play equipment for kids. Nice shady spot.
I love that he played here as a child. The park is your local childhood playground. Located in Brooklyn Heights. Whimsical bear statues and the sound of the train nearby bring an ambiance you can only find in Brooklyn.
Adam Yauch Park, or as my friends call it Bear Park (after the statues of bears inside), is a great park for whatever people want in a park. It has amazing basketball courts that for some reason you can always find them free, and has to be the only place in NYC like that. Even the playground, geared towards kids, is really fun to hang out in. Overall, if in the neighbourhood, do visit this park.
Great park ! I started a lacrosse event with my own goal !
Nice little park tucked away in a corner of Brooklyn heights. The park is off the path that most tourists would take and has not become a pedestrian throughway, as squibb park in the north heights has become. The park has sprinklers in the summer and has a medium-sized jungle gym with a slide. The tables make it a nice place to bring lunch and hang out on a hot summers day.
Small park for children. There is a playground area with swings and climb on fixtures like a train etc. There is a basketball court, seating, and a water feature for the kids to cool off. Adjoining the park is a dog park for your pets also.
Been a life long Beastie Boys fan (since the 80s 👴🏻)
Was so happy to get here finally. It is a very cute park not huge but not small. Perfect for the kids and has a decent priced parking garage right next to it. R.I.P. MCA :( thank you for donating this brother.
A peaceful spot in a hectic city. A worthy tribute to a dear departed friend
A great little dog friendly park in Brooklyn. An excellent playground with both half court and a full court basketball hoops. Tibetan flags adorn the southeastern corner of the park. A great tribute to a great artist.
Nice park, with basketball courts and monkey bars for kids, the sprinklers are a nice addition. Its right on the ramp for the QBE which is a little annoying for pollution/noise, but nevertheless its always busy and with nice people.
Nice little park. Such a shame its being let go, some keep up of the area would be nice. Also better stronger barriers by the extremely busy traffic and nutball drivers
Decent, it has good climbing structures and a water sprinkler, as typically found in all parks. It usually has young children, but is not usually crowded.
It was great seeing family and friends in this Park having a good time and the Park is named after one of the Beastie boys but whats the problem with the city keeping the place clean and in good condition
Great stop with little kids and or pets.
No sleep til Brooklyn. RIP MCA.
Being a fan of the Beastie Boys, Ive been wanting to check this place out. Its a nice little spot to sit in the sun, plus theres a basketball court and a little playground.
Nice little city park, plenty of shade for the Summer months. Some noise since its very close to the highway.
Great Neighborhood Park and Historical for Hip Hop and Beastie Boys Lovers alike
What an artist. Its great to see an great artists life reflected into a park I flew over the whole world for loads of their tours.
Quiet park with a play area for small children and a basketball court. Has tables for picnic g.
Quiet neighborhood park with sprinklers and playground. Always great meeting so the locals here

Thanks Adam, for everything. Youve deserved this park!
Its fine, I go to the dog park but it is more like a dog run than a park.
A quiet, clean beautiful park and a nice tribute to Adam. #RIPMCA
Quiet and serene, let the dogs play in their area while the kids play.
Nothing to add. MCAs place in Brooklyn.
Great place to take the kids to the playground, or play ball!
Quiet playground. There are a lot of shade, so it is great in hot weather.
If you happen to go to New York and you happen to be a Beastie Boys fan, than this park is a must visit.
You can feel the vibes right as you enter
Wonderful place! So peaceful, great for meditation!
Long live Adam Yauch+.🫶🏾BB.
You can’t you won’t and you don’t stop when you come to this park!!—————————————————You can’t: not walk dogs! You won’t: want to miss the basketball courtAnd you don’t stop: loving this wonderful park!

I was told there was a gym there. There is only a playground for toddlers.
Greatest spotcin nyc ..rest in peace MCA . BEASTIE BOYS FOREVER
Great small park for big kids and little kids. In the summer there is a play water fountain and a basketball court.
Great park in the neighborhood with plenty of monkey bars and entertainment for kids, including a sprinkler. Its at the edge of the ramp to the BQE so it can be a little noisy.
Nice chilled area, respect to mca
RIP Adam! You are definitely missed!
Nice little park with a playground.

Great Place
Very nice park in Brooklyn! I was excited when I saw that it had the name of Adam Yauch, one of the members of the Beastie Boys who died in 2012 from cancer.
R.I.P. Adam. A lovely naming spot in Brooklyn. Unforgettable as a person and artist.
A must visit for Beastie Boys fans.
Nice little park. Take care Adam and thanks for the music.
