Usually pretty quiet, and very well frequented by various ages because of the dynamics of the park. There is an open field space, a dog park section, a skate park section, a kiddie playground (separate areas for the age groups) with swings(😱), a workout area, a magnitude of benches and lots of great plant life. I usually like to go and act like im in a magical forest. Its beautiful, especially when the clouds are well separated and its warm, because in the open circle it looks like great scenery as the sun sets against the trees! Its amazing for this area in Brooklyn!
Nice park basketball 🏀 court skateboarding young kids and adults having fun. There its a playground also. Different entrance.
Decent park in a peaceful area. Theres a basketball, tennis, handball court, skating rink, a running track, play area for children another play area for smaller children and a picnic/ barbeque area
Best park in the burg for open grass fields and relaxed atmosphere— *FYI: beware of the soccer league and volleyball families in groups of 60+, they run right through groups of people picnicking and laying out in the grass- so it’s a great park when you aren’t getting hit by their balls.Other FYI- Unfortunately the main lawn grass hasn’t grown back from the soccer and volleyball leagues that tore it up last year— if it’s a windy day, a lot of dirt kicks up in the air cuz no grass—But last year this lawn was plush green and beautiful!)
Great little neighborhood park for eating breakfast on a bench and watching the dogs run around on the field. Every so often, a large gaggle of children will pass, herded by caretakers to or from their pen.
Great park. Very clean and well maintained. Playground for big and small kids, skate park, dog park, tennis courts, basketball courts. Has mostly everything you could want in a park.
Fathers Day picnic at Cooper Park, for the Williamsburg and Bushwick Community was a very nice picnic full of fellowship and community, food, awards, Assemblywoman Maritza Davila, was there to kick off the celebration with her community the best time had. Everyone enjoyed the food and celebration and music. This was their 12th Fathers Day Anniversary. One thing, the toilets was not working on that side of the park. The hosts had to come out of pocket to pay for a porta potty. They only were able to afford 1. But a great time honoring dads was great. The Watchmen group is incredible . These are men who donated to the community and never asked anything in return. How awesome is that!! The park was clean. You can see they are doing some construction to make the park nice.
Great place to just chill and eat some food
Great park - BUT giving 3 stars because some man w/ his little kid came up to me and my leashed dog right outside the playground and threatened to use his knife to cut my dog if it showed even the slightest sign of aggression. This was totally unprovoked; me and my dog were minding our own business just walking around. Very disturbing experience, and would recommend to keep your dogs close by your side.
The park was very nice but the grass needed to be cut. It was a bit high. But my teenage sons didnt mind as they were playing knockerball.
Really nice park with tennis courts, basketball courts, handball walls, and a skate park. Love that its close and that the tennis courts dont require a permit to play. Note that there are only two courts so depending on how many people are waiting to play (hour time limit for singles, two hours for doubles), you can sometimes wait a couple hours to get a court.
Been going here a while as it’s larger than the closer park to me. Great size and the lawn is nice but the barbecue area has gotten really bad. Went to do a last summer barbecue today and had to leave as that section of the park has become unusable. Every grill is severely broken, falling down. Also that section of the park has become home to a few unhoused people. Felt intrusive to their space. Really hoping the city can fix up the grills/ grass, add some more stable tables (there’s only 2 or 3) and help these folks out in a respectful way. Also the restrooms are closed and under construction which means you can’t stay very long.
Its a really nice park with many options. We mostly take the small children to the kiddie park. Theres a skate park, dog park and tennis court there.
Great place to bring the entire family. Its under renovation in certain parts of the park. Hopefully that soon ends.
Not the best to go park but it’s close to home. Toddler enjoys every time. He loves to climb the stairs to the slides. He’s still learning as he’s still quite young and learning to walk
The neighborhood park nice and clean has a doggie run swing for the kids is a good place to walk your dogs and enjoy yourself in the Sun
Very nice park. The only downside is that they were doing construction and there was no bathrooms, no port a potty anything. If they fix the bathroom availability then it would be perfect
Great place to skate ball or chill with the homies.
This park has went through a beautiful transformation. They have a track on the field, they have a dog walk, they have a barbecue and picnic area, they have a beautiful playground for the young children, and lots of specious grass for people to sit down and enjoy this beautiful Park.. There are public restrooms on the grounds. There are plenty of parking spaces around the park on the street as well. But they do not have a public parking lot in the park. A great place to bring the entire family plus the little dogs.
Lovely park. A lot of families. Basketball courts are nice.
Fabulously heavily used - but very well maintained
I really love this park. I am interested in using the barbecue/grill area to have a picnic this summer. This park has clean bathrooms, a dog park, skate park, basketball court, playground for children, and a work out section. There is a field where you can play with your dog or child. This park has beautiful trees and plenty of space to relax and read a book or have a picnic. Id also like to add that I saw pretty flowers and blooming trees this spring.
The skatepark itself is nice. I love the design and there is a good variety for an all cement park.Only thing is that its fairly small and a lot of people go there so even if you get there early on a weekday it will still be crowded.Great park though and youll see some great skaters there.
Very nice park. Large, with a nice playground featuring multiple slides (including a spiral slide) and a small rock climbing wall. Also, sprinklers, shaded and sunny grassy areas, ample seating, a jogging track, and generally speaking, a pleasant atmosphere.
I love Cooper Park. It has a tennis court, Mini skate park, a dog park and the traditional jungle gym and big open space. Its not perfect but it has its charms. On Saturdays in the summer its lively and there is a lot going on. Its a very nice place to have picnics
This park has been a great oasis in the neighborhood for the last 20 years I’ve lived here in Williamsburg. Lots of green space, a great spot to take nice afternoon strolls or gather with friends/family. There’s a lot to do here. There are handball courts, basketball courts, and a skate park! Great place to go!
It really is everything you’d ever want from a quiet little neighborhood park. Plenty of open green spaces, a bunch of trees and bushes with pretty flowers. Plenty of space for various types of exercise and sports, there’s a playground, skatepark.. yeah. 10/10
They redid it and its beautiful. Its a small park but its a great place to visit. We brought our two year old nephew and he loved the play ground and watching people play tennis our skateboard in the amazing new skate park.
Always love coming here... basketball courts always have a game going on. Pretty decent competition on the ball courts. Skateboarders are always flying around and doing tricks. Doggies are enjoying themselves marking their territory and meeting new pup friends. BBQ all summer long. I mean what else can you ask for. Also has tennis courts.
This is a great skate park. The locals are usually pretty nice. I will say that about a month ago, I was skating there at 9:30 in the morning on a weekday and a homeless guy pulled a knife on me for no reason. The police came and took him to the hospital. I’ve heard of similar incidents happening there too. No one has got hurt, but be careful if you go there.
Theres a little bit of something for everyone to do and engage in on a daily basis. Neighbors walk there dogs frequently and people of all ages play soccer, tennis, handball, frisby, skate board in the skate park section. Its local and near public transportation and eateries. There are public 🚻 restrooms opened from 8am til 4pm m-s there are a few grills a water fountain, etc plenty of parking free space ☺
I ❤ this park. Ive been in the neighborhood for 11 years and only recently did I begin to frequently make use of this amazing public space. The remodel is fantastic! I love the skate park (although I wish there was more frequent clean up in that area because theres often lots of debris left behind. I ❤ all the dogs in the morning. I removed 1 star because I wish the actual dog park was not covered in this coarse sand/ kitty litter material. It turns into hardened clay and the dust is hard to clean off my dogs paws when we return home. What the hell is that stuff? Can we just have regular schmegular dirt? But overall, this park is an amazing space for people and dogs alike.
Eh it was cool I guess lol
Its a pretty big park. A little bit for everyone. Did my daughters 7th birthday and will definitely be returning to this park. Things to keep in mind... go VERY early 6 or 7 to grab some tables by the grills. I got there at 9am there was a man there at 7am with 5 tables. I asked for 1. And womans bathroom 2 stalls 1 was just so disgusting and no trash can in it and no changing table. They dont clean around the grills, mountain of charcoal around the base. But the grill area is close enough to the playground and nice sprinklers by the bathroom. They need to put more tables at the grilling area.
Picnic, bar-b-que, basketball ball courts, tennis, handball and skate park all rolled into one. Separate area for your toddlers. And on the other side of the park a decent size dog park. Even has a restroom but not the cleanest place to go.
Great place for low key hanging out. Large field surrounded by trees.
This little park is a hidden gem! It has everything, a big lawn for tossing a ball of frisbee, or maybe let your dog hang out. Theres a long and winding path back towards the picnic tables and grills. Closed right now, but still there are tennis courts, handball courts, basketball courts, a skate park and dog park. This place is quiet, its clean and out encourages exercise and healthy living. Come check it out!
I like it. We actually have a park for our dogs
The park itself is wonderful but people should be held accountable for their dogs waste and hole digging in the soccer field. Its unsanitary and dangerous especially for kids running around. More patrol please.
We visit the park’s dog run everyday with our two dogs. The good is that it is quite large. The less good is that it is in the farthest corner of the park and it is all gravel. Amongst the regulars it’s known as the “litter box” because the gravel can make quite a mess. It’s great to have a nearby dog run, but I miss having it in the northeast corner of the park.
Love the park, much more tranquil than the McCarren park. This is where the dog lovers congregate - especially before 8/830 am (everyday) you could have your (well-behaved) kids off leash for a bit and run with the pack! People are really friendly and do look out for each other when danger approches - this usually means when the off leash time is over and park people/police is close by to ticket you...
Good summer park for basketball, tennis and it has a really nice skate park. At the moment it has some construction going on but still a nice park.
Very chill park. Tennis court, basketball, handball, skate park, sprinklers in the summer, toddler and big kids playground with adult swings. Barbeque grills made in the ground and picnic tables. Trees for shade. Very nice.
Good location to set up for BBQs. Sprinkler system for kids to have fun. Bathrooms available til a certain time and best of all, it has enough space for everyone !
Best park in town for dogs!! You can let your dog off the leash and let them run around. Lots of friendly dog owners around the area who do the same and a great community.
I go there to dog park. It would be great if they do some type of a shade for the dogs. There are no trees so the sun just hit you strait. Stuck tho... over all is a nice park but that shade would be helpful.
Terrible beach volleyball courts. theres 3 if you combine them they are still to small to play a normal game in it. the sand is also full of garbage. everything else was pretty nice tho
Great space for a BBQ. Everyone was entertained because there was a skate park, basketball court, sprinklers and a playground. The only problem was the bathroom. Womens bathroom was yucky.
We love Cooper Park. Both our kids have been growing up in this park. Its got a fantastic toddler area thats separate from the big kids play area. Both are enclosed and separate from the park as a whole so kids are safely corralled. When they get bigger the skatepark is one of the best in the city. Not to mention all the tennis, basketball, and handball courts are brand new. The park also has an active community organization that brings great movies and events to the park in the spring, summer, and warmer fall months. Love Cooper Park! We dont use as much anymore because we moved to Bushwick.
Who ever designed the park, knew what they were doing. The layout is ideal for families with kids. Theres a toddler section and a big kid playground section, between both is the bathroom. Sprinklers is on the opposite side of the bathroom, on each side of the separated playgrounds is a park gym, so as parents exercise they can stay eye view from their kids. The park has a nice shaded seating area, and a barbeque section eye view from both playgrounds and tennis court. The barbeque area is also near the bathroom. There is a sun bathing section, a racket/hand ball, basketball court, and much more.
This park has just about everything, like tennis, basketball, plus handball and for those who love skatboarding they have that too plus a place to take your dogs for a walk and for thosr who have small children they have a cute slide swings and a little wall they can climb plus they have rest rooms.
Love this park great field to just run around. You can bbq and the playground isn’t to bad could have more space but the plus is there a gate to keep children in. I love parks that have a gate 👍🏾
The park has space for everyone who wants to do a different activity. Such as grills, skate park, handball court, swings, soccer field, etc. It gets super packed during warm weather which is my only complaint, but thats understandable.
Cooper!!!!! A must visit cement skate park with many features, A frame, pyramid with a really cool out rail super smooth. Very creative layout. New York city impressed me with this one. Enjoy, have fun and be safe.Thank you skateboarding
Nice huge park to run or jog in relax play basket ball relax get out and about get things of your mind watch birds take the dog for a walk or cat meow summer is here time to get your shine on or tan or what ever nice view plenty of benches to sit down enjoy some good fresh air so if you are near here just go out and about here get you relax on here folks until then peace
Fun time with family....Bring your own everything even portable bathroom! The place gets crowded quick. Bathroom has 2 stalls but closes at 7 and the stores are blocks away....
Very clean chill park.Something for everyone!Playgrounds, dog runs, tennis courts skate, skate park, and a open grass field for fun games or lounging.
Great park good family atmosphere.....🏃♂️😇😎😊
I love the tennis courts and the basketball courts and the atmosphere of the park. However, there is a problem with trash filling the park from barbecues and parties. To keep the park clean, we need to focus on picking up the trash.
IT IS NICE , VERY QUIET UP AND COMING AREA ,EVEN WITH THEM DOING CONSTRUCTION DOWN THE BLOCK,YOU CAN ALSO BBQ IN THE PARK, WHICH I REALLY REALLY LIKE, PEOPLE TAKE THEIR DOGS THERE TO GET EXERCISE ..
Nice park..barbecue area,Basketball court ,children play area, handball, tennis, volleyball, skateboard and scooter obstacle course bathroom are clean most of the time almost forgot Dog run to fun park to visit enjoy.
Always something going on here. Relatively clean. Great facilities for tennis, skateboarding and basketball. Track is just gravel, not a good place for jogging. Some exercise equipment.
I go there all the time and play basketball they really fixed up the place to the point I cant stop going, this place is great💯 This park has a skate park, tennis court, handball and a volleyball area to set up. Two playgrounds for kids and a dog park.
GOOD dog park...
Love this park ! 2 playgrounds, basketball, handball court, and official public skate park, greenspace for picnics or events and summer movies are provided by the nycparks department. Great community park.
Great comedy on Monday nights. Lots of space for dogs to run. Just watchout when youre walking so you dont carry dog $h!5 home.
Born and raised near this park great park for the family, my only problem is the bathroom its creepy smelly and dirty, yes they do have parks department ppl working super hard to avoid that issue, ppl are just nasty and half the time send their kids alone to the bathroom and thats a catastrophe in its own
Very nice lil park. Chill in the morning. Lots of good dogs. Also the volunteer cleaning crew does an excellent job
Great park for kids ; great for grilling ... You can use the parks grills or bring your own. Cool doggy park basket ball court and skating area
The playground isnt that good as there isnt that much space. It has a skateboard and tennis court. It has a nice field. If you looking for a nice area to lay on grass this is it.
Beautiful big park and clean . benches and tables around, bathroom avalible but the people that use it should help to keep it clean . dog park ,running trail, 2 playgrounds for the kids, tennis court and volly ball stand
Its 9:30am on a Monday morning and the staff is nowhere to be seen. Bathrooms are closed and you have homeless types popping squats and peeing all over the park! Completely unacceptable when the bathrooms are supposed to be opened at 8am. Garbage cans are overflowing with trash, I noticed this is a thing in Brooklyn. This doesnt happen in Manhattan parks.
Great play ground for kids, Cookout areas, clean bathrooms, Workout area, nice dog walk My Dog loved this park Sleep peacefully Bear🙏🏿🙏🏿 I miss you ❤😣😩
Great park , If you dont like Dogs stay clear during the morning because people let there dogs run leash free in the main grass area instead of the dog park ....
Good part good place to take your kids and have some fun. Get out get them off the phone with any computers.
Nice park I walked the track sang some songs watched the dogs and hollered at a couple cuties
Mini skate park? They got one. Tennis courts? In the rear east side of the park. Adult work out bars? They have those too. No padded run track but nice park just the same.
The park is very clean and it has a site for a picnic and for barbeque. It also has a separate side for the kids to play. The workers are nice and helpful.
A lot of action and music at this park. The skate section is dope and has flavor. Good skaters here
My girl proposed to me ,I swear God works in mysterious ways.stay strong and keep the faith, even when times seem ruff dont give up. He is watching
Cooper park is always clean except for Sundays in summer because of barbecue and people gathering. I like it is a friendly place to walk see nature.
Large park enough space for everyone to enjoy the park safely only thing the bathrooms need to be cleaned more often due to the pandemic and children using the bathrooms
A wonderful park with a lot to offer. Its a large park with tennis courts, a skate park, dog run, bbq areas, and a childrens park. Its got a lot to offer to be located in the middle of the city.
Havent been in years but it has improved immensely and even has a skate park....well worth the visit!
Small and calm place to relax.
Nice park but not summer time when all people living around doing partys and barbeque in this park.
I was born in Cooper Projects, Greenpoint Hospital in 1959, love to go back there during Cooper Day.
Its nice but the only thing that dogs poop everywhere and people want to sit in the grass and they can even though you put towels or blankets is still nasty
Great park for families and dog lovers wish the bathroom was a bit tidier but hey its a public free park in NYC what can we expect
I love this park! Its clean and quiet, feels safe and a good place to meet members of the community.
Youll find a dog run, workout equipment, tennis courts, skate park, basketball courts, and lots of earnest men playing volleyball. Not as many trees as McGolrick, smaller than McCarren, but has its own edge of industrial vibe.
Love this park . On a nice fall day . Throw something on the grill and chill. Bathroom stay open late . Great park
A lovely place to take the kids on the weekend for some fresh air. Also a decent amount of space for an inner city park.
Is nice and spacious for all ages to enjoy down to tennis u have handball volleyball and other sports that you able to do in the park
Good for sports, unfortunately long wait for tennis courts
Nice park lots of shade could use a facelift but still nice
It was a nice place to visit I really enjoyed coming to DC I was hoping to have more time go to other places but this place was really nice my grandkids love the museum very much.
A beautiful park with a great cosmopolitan atmosphere. This park pretty much has it all. And best of all, it has that tucked away, hidden grove vibe.
Great little park with a playground and work out area.
Had a great time in the park. Barbecuing with the family. Lots of trees for shade as well.
Good fenced park. Can take your dog here at night without a crowd.
It was a pretty well kept park. Me and my family enjoyed our recent trip
Nice neighborhood park! Not too much car traffic so feels friendly, and quiet!
Lovely, open space with 2 playgrounds (1 for little ones & 1 for older kids), a sprinkler, dog park, skate park & tennis court
One of my favorite parks in the city. there are always bbq smells, skateboarding sounds and handball & tennis games.
Its a nice park for animals and people. They have handball, basketball, and tennis courts plus a skating area.
Good park but I dont like the crowd that tends to show up. To macho for my blood
Great park. Had different storage for different activities. Dog park is a good size
Very active park. Children playing. Pick up basketball which usually starts at 5/530
Pretty OK. Has what most parks offer. Plus a skateboard area
Newly refurbished handball courts. Very popular skate park. 1 star deduction because the closest bodega is not very close
Fun for my child. Has 2 sand pits lots of space for social distance in grass.
Know this park for years, and still love coming! New nice open grass area and areas to do a BBQ
A very quiet place, I saw a lot of mothers and their babies having fun at the park. There is a skateboard park too with a lot of people practicing.
Love this park, spacious clean fun . Skateboarding section here .
The cleanest park in New York City Ive ever seen to date
Lovely park .The park cleaner is a very nice lady .She keeps the park well kept. Never crowded.
ITS A NICE BIG PARK TO ENJOY FAMILY TIME COOK OUTS OR TAKE LONG WALKS IN THE PARK OR TO TAKE THE KIDS TO PLAY IN THE PARK OR JUST TO HAVE A LITTLE PICNIC
There is a lot to do here from skateboarding to tennis to volleyball. It has an area for the little ones also. It is a big park overall
My favorite park for dogs in Brooklyn!
The times that Ive been to the park its been great, I havent notice or experienced any bad situations. For me its a safe park.
My dog Ollie loves this place!
Great For Family Cookouts! Has Sprinklers, Swings, Basketball Court, Skateboard Ramps & So Much More.
Nothing spectacular ! Just another inner city park . Great for a picnic or bbq . , its okay for throwing an out door party
I really like this place got a nice people families clean bathroom nearby I will visit again
Super friendly people in the dog park, super sketchy public toilets, lots of green space and a pretty decent skate park.
It’s a decent community park. Not the biggest but there’s space to lay down on the grass.
Really nice skateboarding park. Bathroom needs more cleaning. Cooking area needs work too.
Small but has tennis courts, skateboard park, handball courts, volleyball ( gotta bring a net), and plenty of bbq grills sprinkled throughout the park
Recently found it while randomly walking.... Very nice for all ages to have fun and relax and lay on lawn.
This is a great park with a barbecue area complete with grills, a skate park, tennis courts, a great playground, and more.
Love going to BBQ with family and friends🥰Just wish they cleaned the bathroom more frequently😫
Nice park with large green space. Lots of playground options for the kids.
Very nice park great place to yoga and let your best little friend (dog) run free and meet the locals.
I love this park. Im new to the neighborhood. My daughters love meeting new dogs and friends here.
Nice clean park and well lit, However no major playgrounds
Very nice for family bbq, picnicking. I traveled all the way from the Bronx to thisPark. Loved it
Love this park. environment around here is very safe and nice.
Dope little spot. Enough space for adults to do their thing while the kids arent too far off. Park close and do ya thing.
Really fun. Sensible layout, so collisions are rare. Water fountain next to the park.
This park has the wade speyer of New York skateparks. Not the crusty foo man chu wade, but more like the last chance black label wade.
Basketball, tennis, skateboarding, vollyball, picnic tables, handball, two kids playgrounds, pull up bars, water sprinklers, grass... Great!
Has a skate part with a lot of grass and open space great for dogs and people
Great big dog park that usually isnt crowded during the day.
Cooper Park is a nice kids park with water sprinkler, swings,🐵 bars, rock climbing etc.
Gotta love parks in the city. They have spots for kids, adults and pets
Nice place for kids, skateboarders, Basketball, cookouts, dog walks, Nice family park
Great place for dogs. If youre dog is not friendly, best advice, stay away.
Great park ti workout and take your kid. They also have a skate park there.
Not sure why dog owners would not pick up after their dog. This park is for everyone to enjoy.
Really friendly staff are very nice and its a great area to raise your kids in
Love the park..could enjoy the reason..I never can say goodbye
Very nice to hang out and enjoy the weather.
So cool park, nice people, appropriate to all skate levels
Although Im an Ole-G, I visit the park for the amenities in particular the skateboard park. Kudos!
Nice park with plenty of activities for kids of all ages
A simple, spacious pet friendly park, with seemingly everything you could want from a park.
Dirty, old playground. Allows dogs in park on the field. Bathrooms are disgusting. People smoke marijuana in the park while children are around.
Great park and nice to be with the family now that its renovated
Lots of cute dogs and kids and seemed very clean
Tennis courts, racquet wall, skatepark
Great places to do a BBQ walk your dog play games or just relax
Really comfortable park for different activities! Feel the Brooklyn vibe!
Good park to go to. They have a big skateboard park.
If its just to sit and shill. Or for a recreational time. I always enjoy my time at this park.
Cooper Park has an amazing area were kids and young adults can practice skateboarding.
I randomly stumbled upon it in the summer, early evening leisure walk. It was a beautiful park. Because of all the greenery that surrounds it, its almost as if its hidden from the city. The dog park was spacious, clean and organized. It made me sad that I didnt have my pup with me. I would definitely recommend it for those seeking a respite from the nuzzling city.
We love Cooper park with our little doggo!!
Great
Great park with some calisthenics equipment. Useful for getting a proper workout done
Very cool & low key place. The grounds look awsome.
Open park with a big lawn, trees and spaces to sit and a couple of playgrounds for kids and toddlers
Lots of opportunity for kids...skateboarders...volley ballers...pinickers...great park!!
Great park for kids.....chilled n relaxed
I dont like how they separate the bigger children play around from the younger children. What if you have two children young and old?
Nice with a good amount of sunlight until about an hour before sun down
Went to health fair
Not bad to spend a little time either with kids or just walking your
Great and tidy park, used by the community. I play basketball there and every time I do I dunk.
