I have fostered for Badass since 2019 and have enjoyed every minute! All of the doggies are amazing and the Badass community is so supportive - it’s such a gift to be able to see a pup come out of its shell and thrive! And then go to his/her furever home. Saving a life is the best feeling! Here’s a few pics of my Badass with various fosters we’ve had.

I don’t know if there are enough positive words in the world to describe how great this rescue is. Not only have I adopted my very own North American House Hippo (aka pittie mix) from this amazing place, but I also foster lots of sweet adorable pups through them. Badass has a knack for pairing the right dog with the right person, and once you adopt from them, you will find yourself surrounded by the most amazing support system ready to help in any way possible.

We adopted a dog through Badass almost two years ago and every step of the process was incredibly personal and supportive and thorough. The team is devoted to finding the perfect forever homes for their beloved rescues and they know exactly how to accomplish that. The experience was so positive we went ahead and fostered a dog. Since he was going through heartworm treatment, we had him for over 2.5 months. The team was available to answer questions, provide supplies, facilitate vet appointments. It has been such a rewarding experience for our whole family -- we cant wait to do it again. What I love most about Badass is that it feels like being a member of an exclusive club. We share stories, photos, resources. We laugh together when dogs get up to mischief. We cry together when they pass away. I am so proud to be a member of the Badass family. XOXOXO

Such a supportive organization! My husband and I adopted our Badass, Maisie, 3 years ago, and have fostered three other dogs for them over the years. The amount of care, dedication and support that goes into this volunteer run organization is amazing. I’m so grateful to have them in Brooklyn.

We adopted through Badass and they were great! The thoroughness of the process really helped us know we were all working for the best outcome for all. The amount of support and guidance they provide sets you up for success with your new four-legged doggo. Highly recommend them to anyone considering adopting or fostering.

I started fostering dogs with Badass in the pandemic. It was my first time fostering and they made me feel very supported. They check in over email every week, and they give detailed and thoughtful advice whenever you have a behavioral issue with a dog. They’re really good about pairing you up with a short term helper if you need to leave town for any reason. And, fosters are always welcome to stop by the Badass office which has free toys, snacks, and other supplies. I would definitely foster from here again!

Badass is an incredible organization. I have been fostering for close to a decade and it continues to be a rewarding experience. Badass supports its fosters and adopters in everything from training and vet care to creating an active community. Over the years, Ive made deep friendships with fellow volunteers, adopters, and fosters. And because it is a foster-based rescue, every dog in foster is a life saved!

By adopting a Badass dog, you not only gain a true companion but you also become part of an amazing, supportive group of fosters, volunteers and adopters. I have relied on this network many time with my two dogs to seek guidance and recommendations (even 7 years later after my first adoption). Once a dog becomes a Badass, they are given the care and love they deserve in preparation for getting them adopted regardless of how severe the medical case. This truly sets Badass apart and is a great organization to work with!

Badass is an incredible rescue organization full of dedicated, hardworking people who care deeply about saving dogs and making magic. The Badass community is a true family, from the rescue team to the fosters to the adopters. If you are looking to foster or adopt, there is no better organization to turn to than to Badass! The team works so hard to find the perfect home for every dog, and is there to answer every small question any foster or adopter has throughout the process! So many dogs are snuggled safely in loving homes because of this organization.

If you foster, avoid badass Brooklyn at all costs. (Try the ACC instead)When I fostered through Badass Brooklyn, I fell in love with my foster. however, rather than letting me adopt, they chose to lie, rehome the dog, and then adopt the dog to somebody who applied close to a month after I had submitted my application.They stated We want our fosters to stay fosters. Well guess what? I still foster. Just not through badass Brooklyn.

Seriously the best to foster or adopt! I adopted my Badass Henry (he’s from the USVI) last year and was fostering with Badass for a few years before that! They provide so much support and guidance through both the fostering and adoption process. They truly want the best match for you and your forever pal! 🐕

We had (and still do) an incredible experience with Badass. We got to house amazing dogs during which the team was super helpful and also got to meet fun fosters! Badass is super invested in the whole adoption and fostering process so if you want a good match, highly recommend them!

Badass Animal Rescue is a wonderful organization run by a network of knowledgable and compassionate people. They make sure youre set up for success in fostering and adopting from their array of unique dogs.

Fantastic rescue to foster for, and I know plenty of folks who have had a wonderful experience adopting from them. So supportive, so careful about the health of the dog, so focused on finding the right family for every lil guy they bring to New York. Cant recommend these guys highly enough. Badass does life-changing work! Theyre a responsible rescue that does not turn away from the needier cases. Its the main reason I volunteer with their foster program and adopted from them!

I love this organization! I adopted my dog through them and the process couldnt have been smoother, everyone who works here is so kind and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to foster or adopt a dog of their own!

In my opinion, if you have an animal that you have found and you want to help, you take your time to go to a shelter and then they tell you that you do not receive that animal, that you should go somewhere else, if they are a shelter, their responsibility is to take to the animal and be in charge of carrying out the process and moving it to the place where it belongs, in the end you return home with the animal and do not take it to the other place.

Highly recommend fostering with Badass - they are an incredible community of dog loving people who support you through the entire fostering process. They work with you to make the process seamless, rewarding, and so much fun. Im so grateful for them and all the special pups, and people they have brought in my life.

They care about animals and people. Someone dear to me volunteered there in bad times. Everybody won.
