This place is wonderful! My partner and I took in a stray cat who really needed some help, and they were able to see him within hours of calling. They got our little guy his shots, cleaned his wounds, and walked us through how to do it ourselves at home. Every step of the way everyone was incredibly kind and clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. It is true that it’s a bit pricey, but they were also very helpful in finding lower cost alternatives for services like neutering. Thanks to Dr Pruden and her team this little guy gets a new lease on life and is looking better already!
These guys saved my cat’s life through emergency surgery and i can’t thank them enough
Lovely place and friendly staff, they’re so helpful. I’m so grateful for this to be my pets and my first vet experience
Made an appointment less than 24hr before and they were able to see my cat. During the appointment they were nothing but kind, empathetic, friendly and helpful. I can say with the upmost confidence that the guidance and information given to me will do nothing but benefit my cats health and the relationship I have with her. If you care about your pets this is the place to go.
I am taking the time to share this review because people deserve to know how this business is run.On my puppie’s third appointment for her vaccination shots, the staff was late and the doctor was not confident or aware of the reason for my appointment. Nevertheless, I observed the staff give the same 3 treatments I had paid for twice before. When I arrived home, I noticed that my invoice showed an additional appointment, so I called them to clarify, and that’s when I was notified that my dog’s chart was incorrectly coded and that she was due for a rabies vaccine in addition. While this was quite inconvenient, the staff assured me over email that my visit would be comp’d.After my visit, they proceeded to charge me, and explained that only the exam was comp’d and I would be responsible for the vaccine. How is this good customer service? Had I not realized they messed up my pet’s medical record, I would not have received all necessary treatments, leaving my animal and other animals at risk. Furthermore, I already paid for the exam, so comping an additional exam due to your team’s negligence is not doing me any favors. As I mentioned to the manager I am leaving this review because what transpired was completely unethical, and fully your responsibility to honor what you offer.Poor service, and I have attached screenshots for visibility.
Recently took my cat, Marmalade, to this vet for the first time. It was a wonderful experience :) Staff and clients alike were very kind, and Marmie seemed particularly at ease.I wanted to give a shout-out to Elijah, who works up front - Even with a backed up appointment schedule, Elijah was very attentive and efficient (and was most impressively switching between speaking french, spanish, and english the entire time!)Looking forward to our follow up
I love bringing my puppy here! everyone who works here is so kind & gentle. ive only had positive experiences. my friend even started bringing her dog. highly recommend!!
I dont live in the neighborhood, but I called the clinic to inquire about the services they have. I was greeted by a friendly, informative and helpful receptionist, which was already very different from all the other vet clinics that I called. When I came for an appointment with my 14.5 year old dog, all team members were very pleasant and caring. I havent been to the kinder and more caring veterinary clinic than Bedford Stuyvesant Vet clinic in 14 years that I have my dog. Im so happy I made the trip. It was well worth it.
I’ve been coming to this clinic for years after being recommended by a friend. This is the only place I take my chihuahua after trying out other vets in Brooklyn, and I always walk away feeling I’ve gotten the best care for my doggo. Staff and dr provide kind service and have generously accommodated me for a walk-in as needed. I really appreciate this spot and highly recommend to pet owners in the area. :)
Best vet experience ever! All of the staff clearly deeply cares about our animals, is friendly and very knowledgeable and professional, AND this is a Black Owned Small Business in Bedstuy! Please go support and receive amazing service!!!!! Smiles friendliness around!!!!! I felt like I met new friends!
This is a wonderful veterinary clinic in Bed Stuy! We took our new kitten (8 weeks) here and all of the technicians and doctor were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. We had not yet found a vet in the local area for our older cat and I already made an appointment for him the same week! Highly recommend. Thank you Bed Suy Vet Clinic!
Super friendly and competent staff. The care with which the vet techs and doctor treated my pup was awesome. only came in for a health certificate to travel but the process was super easy and a great price!
As of 12/18/2024, the manager was shouting with an employee and hitting the wall aggressively multiple times in front of 2 clients. They overpriced with $100 compared to what they estimated before the check up. My advice is: Never bring your pets here. Never, ever.
I have been taking my cat here for two years and I could not recommend them enough. Dr.Pruden is both professional and caring and her staff is consistently excellent. Thank you Bedstuy Vet Clinic from Ryn and Pepper! 💕
**Review: Avoid This Vet for the Safety of Your Pets**I had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience with this veterinary clinic. My dog, Rye, suffered due to the veterinarians negligence and failure to follow basic procedures. During our first visit, the vet arrived late, which was just the beginning of the problems. Despite Rye showing clear signs of distress, the vet did not perform any essential diagnostic tests like X-rays or blood work. Instead, we were given a lazy diagnosis and poor advice that did nothing to address the real issue. As a result of this inadequate care, Ryes condition worsened over the next three weeks, causing unnecessary suffering. We were eventually forced to rush to an emergency room, where Rye very nearly had to undergo surgery—something that could have been avoided if the vet had followed standard procedures from the beginning. For the safety of your pets, I strongly recommend never visiting this veterinary clinic. Their lack of diligence and disregard for proper diagnostic protocols can put your beloved animals at serious risk. Please consider finding a more reliable and attentive vet who truly cares about the well-being of your pets.Follow up: to the claim that i as the pet owner declined services that were offered, is FLASE. The vet did not follow basic standard operating procedures, its that simple. I was not offered those services that i would eventually need, the vet mearly recommended giving the dog raw food. At this point its beside the point ,just acknowledging the mistake and offering an apology would have gone a long way, but they refuse to accept responsibility and thats the main reason I decided to swich vets. Good luck out there people.
I’ve brought my dog to Bed-Stuy Veterinary Clinic for over a decade and I’ve always found the service to be exceptional! Dr. Pruden is not just excellent but caring and patient; she’s great at explaining what’s going on with your pet, and so clearly loves animals. The entire team is equally skilled and kind and helpful. I’ve never had a long wait, and every fee is clearly explained. I highly recommend this vet — the best I’ve ever been to.
I’ll try to give us comprehensive a review as I can.I made the appointment for the annual check-up online with very little trouble, which is really the highlight of the visit. I requested a time in their virtual portal, and received a response within 24 hours hours, confirming my appointment. I was given the time of the appointment and told to bring a stool sample. This is important later.I arrived at the office and was asked to sit in a crowded lobby with a large dog that was barking loudly. I chose not to sit down because my cat was already unsettled by all of the noise.Thankfully, within minutes I was invited back to see the vet assistant. None of the assistants that came into the room introduced themselves. One gave me a quote of $500 (with no explanation of why it costs so much) and left the room, the other I tried making conversation with and was ignored. The assistant I was left with seemed poorly trained and unaware of the nature of the visit. Multiple times had to inform the assistant that they couldn’t handle a cat in the way that they were. For example, they tried to lift up my cat by the scruff of his neck, which is dangerous for a cat of any, but especially his, size.By the time the doctor came to see my cat, I was already a bit frustrated with the process. But the worst was yet to come. The doctor’s needle handling was terrible. In the process of drawing a small vial of blood, the doctor got blood all over my cat’s leg, on his hands (he was not wearing gloves), and on the table. Instead of having gauze or cotton balls ready, be applied pressure to the wound with his bare hands. After drawing the blood, the needle was left on the table and bumped into the doctors clothes, my cats leg, before being moved to a place out of reach. The whole time, they are handling my cat roughly, and I’m trying to calm him down. The needle wouldn’t be put into a sharps disposal box until after the doctor left. I handed over the stool sample and it was messily placed into a sample collection container, with bits of it falling onto the blood-stained table. Just, filthy.Once the doctor left, I inquired about the stool sample, which I was instructed to bring. They didn’t seem to be aware that the stool sample was included in the visit.Lastly, when I got to the front desk I was told that although I was initially informed that the visit cost $500, the actual price was $630, including a $20 fee for paying with card. Apparently the assistant didn’t include the stool assessment (which i was explicitly instructed to bring) so i was charged an additional fee for the stool assessment. I was given attitude for asking why the bill was higher.Overall, would not wish this experience on a pet owner. There were many glaring issues, some more serious than others. Even a generous assessment of this establishment would raise the alarm about the unsanitary conditions of the clinic.
The staff here is so kind and caring! I was worried because my cat was freaking out, but they put me at ease, answered all my questions, and treated her with compassion. Will definitely be going back!
This facility service was amazing. They treated my dog like royalty and ensured that she was perfectly healthy. Definitely going back so happy it’s in the neighborhood.
Such a great spot, very grateful to have them in the neighborhood. All the doctors and attendants are patient and knowledgeable, and they really take their time explaining what’s happening to you. They’ve always treated my cat well and are very friendly!
They got me an appointrent within a day and got me in early when i arrived! everyone was so kind and caring to both me and my dog! the vet was fantastic, very gentle with my dog and answered all of my questions! will definitely be coming back
Best vet experience we have ever had. We have a chihuahua-terrier mix with a difficult temperament and they handled him with so much care and patience. Provided us with so much information to better care for our little guy. Thank you Bed-Stuy Vet Clinic
These folks handle pets with love and care. Straightforward info given without the guilt trip you’ll get with other providers. Itemized clear pricing given at end of visit. I’ll be back with my pet next time we need.
Brought my 4 year old female blue nose pit bull who is a very energetic dog. They treated her with patience and kindness. My dog did not want to leave. We will definitely be taking care of her veterinary needs at this clinic. Thank you so much Bedstuy veterinary clinic!
I really wanted to like this vet (been visiting for 2.5 years), but it just became increasingly hard to justify choosing this place over a further away spot. The nursing staff is friendly but is unprofessional with handling of animals and drawing vitals/blood — it took them 5 attempts injecting my cat before giving up because they couldnt find the vein.Costs feel average/high at this point in NYC but the facility and care really doesnt meet those costs. This place has the potential to be great but it really needs an upgrade with the staff & location.Oh, and I def dont recommend the boarding here.
This place is amazing! My puppy was sick and pooing blood. I called told them what’s happening. They told me they would wait for me to arrive. Soon as I got there they took care of of him immediately and assured me he’s in good hands. I left there with a diagnosis and medication in less than 2 hours. Thank you so much !!!
My Siamese lynx point is 9 years old and has been a patient at Bed Stuy Veterinary Clinic for 6 years. Dr. Pruden and her entire team are both professional and warm, both knowledgeable and understandable. Perhaps as crucially for a concerned/anxious parent without human children, every person in the office is patient in responding to my often substantial questions and attentively consider my observations when applying their expertise to assessing changes in my cat daughter‘s behavior and health. Dr Pruden breaks down the findings of all diagnostics in a digestible way for us lay people. These qualities are so important in the medical providers of our loved ones who can’t speak for themselves.I never feel rushed by the doctor or any of her kind assistants. They handle my girl with the care she deserves. I can not reccomend this thorough office enough! Thank you for everything you do.
Where do I begin with this place. Every time I walk in to make an appointment there always new staff. The staff that was there in December of 23 was great. They were so nice and made sure any answers I had were always answered. This new staff is very rude and all they see you as is an ATM. They are very pricey. What makes it even worse is the guy with the black eyes who thinks he the doctor over prices and is very rude. Everything with that clinic now is about money. You’re in a low income neighborhood. The prices went up so much that who can afford to go there anymore. I really wish the old crew were back. The young guy who always took care of me was Eric and the lovely lady was Helen. Wish I was able to contact them to see where they are now. I would definitely take my business to them. FYI they are kind of raciest here as well. Especially with the Spanish people I’ve seen it .If the doctor/owner allows this then she isn’t for the people she is against them. She shouldn’t be open if she can’t run her own clinic. I have made reports to BBB. Hopefully they will do something about these people with no license trying to act like doctors.
Damien and Ashley were amazing! They are very comprehensive and let you know about every detail your dog has!
Took my cat Yoongi here to see about a scab on her neck. Dr. Pruden handled her with such care that this was her immediately after she came home! She definitely felt taken care of. I think the review from Yoongi speaks for itself but I’ve never had a long wait time here and Kelsey always calls after to check on Yoongi and to answer any questions I have about her care.
Ive been taking my dog here for years - Dr. Pruden is lovely and all her staff have always been great
Took my kitten here for her first vet visit and they were super sweet and helpful! They also answered all my questions and were very gentle with my kitten. Definitely my permanent vet! Please bring your pets here!!
I came in as a walkin with my dog that wasnt doing well. My dog was not eating for a few days. I was very worried. The staff got me in as soon as they could. There were appointment, I had to wait a little bit. I love the way, Dr. Pruden handled my dog. She was very gentle and informed me of different treatments to get my dog better.
Great place! We took our kitten here and they were so attentive. Stuff was very sweet. Love it here! Please bring your pets to this vet.
I have been reading a lot of reviews about this place on google and I have to say all my concerns were gone when I had my appointment. My cat was in desperate need of medical attention and I got an appointment right away. The office is small but all the staff is kind and caring. They didnt try to run-up my bill or do any extra testing that wasnt needed. Now my cat is almost fully healed and because of the support I received I feel so much better about any future issues that may come up.
I brought my pet here last week because she was having a few eye issues. The clinic is small but the staff was very welcoming. The appointment went very well. The staff answered all the questions I asked and i didnt feel rushed. My dog is doing so much better now. Thank you !
Staff is very nice. Young and energetic. Doctor is such a sweetheart and was very good to my cat. Cost was pricey other than that service was good.
The staff is very nice but the service is totally unprofessional. The sanitary conditions are very poorly plus the documentation is a mess, all the documents that I required for my insurance have a different year for my cat, the information don’t match and plus that, I never received a summary of the visit that I requested several times. I realized today that they don’t have it, they just have a list for the bill. If you have insurance, I dont recommend at all this place. They only care about charging you, is expensive and dont care at all about what you need for the insurance, instead they tell you since the beginer that your insurance may not cover the bill, but they did not specify that is because they are very unprofessional and dont document properly each visit. I could have passed the incident with the documentation if they cured my pet but in the end that didnt happen either, I needed to go to another vet to receive treatment because what they did, didnt work at all. Expensive, unprofessional, and useless.
So brought my cat here today and the staff was nice and informative however I feel my cat was mistreated as he wind up leaving without a nail on his paw!! He then was labeled as a “crazy cat” which is very unprofessional ! And offensive!! I don’t understand how I left for 20 minutes and came back and his nail was gone!! As trained professionals I expected better terminology and more professionalism period. My cat could have been medicated so he felt more comfortable and then he would have been less difficult to deal with as I wanted his nails trimmed but I was told I had to come back another time, that doesn’t make sense and is time consuming as I don’t live close by. The tech guy said he administered my cat an antibiotic for his missing nail which I was charged for and then he tried to have us leave without giving us a cone so he wouldn’t lick the wound and I had to ask for one as that did not make sense! I won’t be returning but be safe also I want to say that just because you’re in a newly gentrified area still treat everyone with courtesy and professionalism!
Very knowledgeable! This team made sure I knew how to take care of my cat before I left. They were patient, friendly, and supportive. We have been coming to them for years now!
The vet is nice the vet assistants are nice but the HIGH PRICE is insane for the old outdated office at least update the office the rooms are tiny idk how someone with a big dog could fit my dog is 8 pounds needless to say me and the vet were cramped in the “office”Vaccinations for 75$ when you can go elsewhere for way lessI called for a 1 year annual for my dog 3 vaccines and a heart worm check quoted $400 needless to say I went elsewhere and spent way less
I have a pit mix . Hes big. Hes friendly. But after one bad vet experience in Florida he has been very nervous with strangers touching his hind and anal area. No one would take his temp or do anything bc he would growl out of nervousness. Then they would judge him bc hes a pit type dog and label him aggressive. The staff here did no such thing. He walked in giving everyone kisses and walked out giving everyone kisses. Yes he growled the moment they went to take his temp l. They simply said lets put a muzzle on for safety and they kept going. Knowing he was only nervous , talking to me in the process which also calmed me down , therefore calming my dog Opie down. They were great and Im never going anywhere else. Also al reasonably priced compared to other locations.
Sweetest team. The vet took care to teach me all I needed to apply flea and tick meds. They went above and beyond!
I booked an appointment online. I got a call a few hours later to get a bit more information about my pet. They gave me an appointment for the next day for my limping dog. I was very worried. The appointment went great. Staff was very friendly and careful with my pet.
Small neighborhood clinic with very caring staff. I took my cat here when he wasnt feeling well, they got me in same-day with no drama. The vet explained everything he was doing very clearly, and they asked me before performing any tests and let me know the cost.
My elderly Friends dog had problem with kids pause and suffering. I made the appointment for him and they discovered he had abscess, did all the tests x-rays, treated with antibiotics. Good experience and good price. Dog already nearly recovered. Friendly.
Really enjoyed my puppy’s first visit. They were prompt with getting her in and communication was great from their entire staff. Answered all my questions. You get a free puppy kit with the necessary meds. Highly recommend!
I have been coming here for TWO YEARS, and Ive always worked with Dr. Prudent, and she has been a delight. However, today when I came in she was not working. The people I worked with tried to keep tacking on other service to turn a $300 visit into a $900 visit, (keep in mind, that they do not offer payment plans, so it literally feels like a shake down.)I told them that I was in school, so I couldnt afford it today, and that I would have to come back if those services were absolutely necessary. At one point, they started clipping my dogs nails, and shes barking and howling in pain, and sure enough they clipped a nail too short and she started bleeding. They patched it up so to speak, and I asked if it was safe for her to walk on it and they assured me that it was.As were getting ready to leave I had asked if they could renew her annual prescription for anxiety medication. The vet who was working tells me that he cant do that unless I did one of the services that they tried to sell me today. When I said that that hasnt ever come up before, he said, Im telling you now no one has ever written a prescription here before for that. And unless you can get me a blood test from 3 months, 6 months, or even a year ago, Im not writing that. I asked if we could use her blood work that was done in their from the prior year, and he said that weve never had blood work done.So I asked if he was accusing me of lying, because Dr. Prudent has definitely written several prescriptions for my dog, and that I remember paying an extra $200 last year for blood work, and without even pulling up my account to verify ANY of this information he just shrugs and says, I dont know what to tell ya.The final straw that broke the camels back for me was when I was walking my dog home and she started whimpering and limping because her wound opened up. She was in so much pain, that I had to pick up my 58lb dog and carry her a quarter of a mile so she wouldnt be in pain walking home. This service was absolutely unacceptable, if you visit, insist on seeing Dr. Prudent, because it seems the other vet doesnt know what hes doing. I would include names, but I never had anyone introduce themselves during the visit.
Brought my cat here for the first time and we had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and the overall visit didnt take too long. My cat was super calm and didnt react even though hes known to be a terror at the vet. Will definitely be bringing my little guy back
The Vet with the colorful dreads provided informative feedback about my dog. The young Spanish young lady made my dog bleed while giving her a shot. My dog is the sweetest animal ever, and it hurt my heart to see how my dog was mishandled by the vet assistance.Thank you for your response and empathy about my concern. Also, thank you for the free item I received today.
After having been to a different vet where our puppy received substandard care, it was a very welcomed relief to get his care here. Everyone was lovely and the environment was clean and professional. The people were great, warm, knowledgeable and so pleasant to be with. They treated our puppy with care and explained everything very well. I am a medical provider myself and very much appreciated this experience.
I when there for a skin problem for my dog the doctor didn’t said nothing . Said was my fault . That I hurt my dog . Like not lady she has skin problems that it’s why I bringing my dog to the vet . After that I was charged 155$ dollars and they didn’t do anything just telling me they didn’t know nothing . Please don’t go there also they were really rough with my dog . So please save your money and time DONT GO THERE also the place it’s dirty and it smells really really bad HORRIBLE
Stay away!!! This place is much more interested in up charging you for pointless tests than it is in actually treating and caring for your animalsI took my dog in a year ago after he was experiencing weight loss, lethargy, and a constantly upset stomach. After running over $700 of tests, I was told that he was fine, but maybe had a parasitic infection we could treat with OTC meds.Less than one week later, my dog died and the ER vet who put him down said that it was very obviously stomach cancer and that any reasonable vet would have seen that.Turns out, the X-rays that Dr Pru ran did not include the dye necessary to make the cancer visible. Making it a complete waste of money and time. Please go somewhere / anywhere else if you’d like to keep your dogs alive.
I had a great experience! Everyone was kind and helpful and we got some good advice to help our cats weight loss. And they were non-judgmental about her weight and seemed to believe us that we are doing our best to manage it. However this was just a basic check up appointment, so I can only speak to that experience.
Dr. Pru is always amazing! She takes her time, shes deligent and shes a black vet! The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. I absolutely love the care they give Koda and they are sure to have you in and out with no problem.
Me and my German shepherd Houyo moved from NJ to brooklyn last winter. I was looking for a good new vet and this clinic is exactly what I was looking for. The staff and vets are very kind and friendly. My dog loves humans but is a little bit anxious when its about medical exams. They took their time, they did an amazing job. Thank you so much guys !
The staff are kind enough but they will obfuscate and lie if you ask them for information. If youre trying to move a pet overseas, GO ELSEWHERE. Our RNATT test was booked with a USDA accredited vet, and I was told that the vet I was given (a different person) was fine. It was not fine. Our RNATT test was rejected and our cat is now stuck in the US for longer while we go elsewhere to get bloods redrawn. 3 months delay all because they lied on multiple occasions and hid the truth from us and our pet moving company.Do you want a vet thats known to lie and hide critical information to treat your pet?
My baby Shilo had a great time at the vet this week.
Ill start with the good. The vet knows her stuff and I like that they can do some lab tests on site. However, this place is just kind of...strange. From the creepy dog statue in the lobby to the random people (who I dont think really work there?) just standing around in the back area hanging out. Its definitely different than any vet clinic Ive ever been to.However, one thing that definitely bothered me and something Ive never really experienced in a vet clinic before was what seemed like upselling on services.I knew what my cat had because Id done the research. I just needed a blood test confirming it. When I explained what the issue was with him they immediately just said theyd give him a full test profile (which I knew would have been hundreds of dollars) then took him and walked him in the back. I had to stop them, explain that I didnt want a full panel of tests and then had to ask what the costs were.If I hadnt done that they would have just charged me about $500 for a full testing profile that was completely unnecessary.Typically, a vet will tell you what the options are, then explain the costs of each option and THEN give you a moment to decide what you want to do.Then, at the end, when he needed medication as I expected, they just said he needs medication and rang me up at the register. They didnt explain the price of the medication first and they didnt give me the option to go online and buy it for cheaper or in a different form. Now I have $50 worth of pills that he wont take and that I couldve gotten for half the price online anyway. All of this is all highly irregular for a vet clinic. I know because Ive been to a few. The lack of transparency is something I wouldve expected at a shady mechanic in the hood...not a vet clinic. If you have literally no other options, then I guess you can go here but I definitely wont be going back. Everything about this place just made me too uncomfortable.
Good client focus and friendly doctors and nurses. Very good with our dog (a German Shepherd). Definitely recommend the.Only downside I can think of is that they have very little space. Our dog has something against other smaller dogs which makes the waiting area a bit stressful as you really have to watch out for other dogs as you are very close to one another. But other than that, great vets.
Staff was very friendly and helpful with my two cats.
So far Ive been able to get a same-day appointment on three separate occasions. Ive seen Dr. Pruden a couple of times. She has been so helpful and takes the time to answer to all of my questions. The rest of the team has been very sweet and attentive as well. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone in the area.
My two cat children and I have been to this practice twice and both times all the vet techs and the vet were super knowledgeable and kind. Dr. P called me Mom and called my babies a star and the goodest mans. Both times she had insight into some small changes I could make to their diet and habits that really helped them.
Friendly staff! Really loved the personality of the vet we saw. Place is very small, exam rooms with standing room only. Definitely on the pricey side. Was recommended I switch my dogs food to prescription using their website, but I cant afford the specialty food.
The only reason I went to this place is because it’s very close to my house, 10 minutes walking but I will never go there ever again. The clinic is too small, dirty, the seats for the clientele are uncomfortable and even if you have an appointment, you have to wait a least an hour to get your pet checked . My husband called before making an appointment for our cats to know about the price for both cats and they give you a different, and lower price by the phone, and when they finish to visit your pets, they come out with an overpriced bill. This is not right, taking advantage of people who loves their pets. The doctor is very good and professional but the other staff is terrible, rude and unprofessional.
Extremely knowledgeable and patient vets. They take great care of my cat. Always available and very kind to my tough patient
We’ve been taking our cat Vesta here for the past two years. The staff and vet are so gracious and explain everything to me. They are compassionate ann answered all of my questions.
Ive been coming to them with my cat (Dodie) for over 5 years and from the outset, their office and staff has acted as an extended part of our family. Not only is Dodie free of anxiety during visits (she used to be famous for her viciousness toward vets), she calms down when she realizes its our destination. Her health and comfort are always the focus and I cant recommend them enough. Dr. Pruden and Dr. Moran (Dr. Melissa) get high marks in everything! Especially this year - it feels so good to have consistency for my 14 year old baby!!
It was easy to book the appt, the staff are genuine and very friendly and often hilarious. They know their onions too AFAICT.The cost of the small procedure also seemed very reasonable with no hidden fees or taxes. Really good.
If you love your animal, do NOT bring them here. And if you want what’s best for your animal please READ MY STORY.This photo was my beautiful HEALTHY cat/son Zeus. I took him for a check up here as he desperately needed to be neutered. They did all necessary tests & procedures (even ones I didn’t ask for) & a week or two later it was time to bring him back for his neutering. i dropped him off at 3pm because they said he had to stay over night so that he didn’t have any food in his stomach just in case the anesthesia made him sick. By 4:30-5pm the office called me to say “they decided to do the procedure early & he didn’t make it”. I thought it was a joke. It wasn’t. They had taken it upon themselves to do the procedure early without my consent. I was told two different stories.. the doctor told me that my boy passed upon injection. As soon as she gave him the anesthetic, he passed away. The front desk told me he was ok after the injection but upon close monitoring after they noticed his gums began changing color and he didn’t look well so they did all they could to get him back to himself but were unsuccessful. I dropped off the most gorgeous, healthy 1 year old blue eyed boy and left with ASHES. They didn’t offer to do an autopsy, considering they’d told me a week prior he was a ok for surgery. They just handed me an urn and said I’m sorry. But here’s the where it gets even worse.. our two year adoption anniversary is this week and while I’m trying my hardest to morn in peace I’m getting texts and post cards from them telling me HES DUE FOR A CHECK UP. If I wasn’t convinced before that his death was human error I am POSITIVE now that it was 1000% their fault. How could you be so careless as to not be absolutely certain your systems don’t reach out to someone who’s animal you killed?! Absolutely disgusting place.
We had the unfortunate experience of having to have our dog euthanized at this clinic recently. The staff was courteous and professional during this experience. This is the reason I have given them a star. However, there were a few serious problems. Firstly, the clinic space is absolutely tiny. Because of this, I had to sit in the waiting room with nothing but a tiny flex wall between me and the exam room, and fully listen as our dog died. It was not a short process, and I wish that there had been more emotional awareness from staff to let people know what to expect in this process. It was also all very rushed as the clinic was very busy on this day and it did not give ample opportunity to grieve, instead it was very rushed. This service was very expensive, especially the cremation of the remains, and I did not feel that price was adequately represented in our clinic experience. The clinic offered us the ability to have our dogs paw print pressed in cement as a way of remembering her, which we appreciated and opted for. However, when the remains were returned a few weeks later, this item was not given to us (when picking up the bag, I inquired and they said it was there, when I got home it was not). According to the clinic, they had not checked a box on a form and so the service had not been performed. Additionally, the only way to get a refund for this $90 (+ a % fee for using a card) service is for me to physically return to the clinic, even though we have since moved out of bed-stuy and it is a very expensive uber or a very cumbersome bus ride away from us.No one has ever been rude to us from this clinic. However, throughout this extremely emotional process I have had problems with the way this business is run on multiple fronts, making an incredibly painful experience even more painful, and forcing me to rehash it weekly. We will not be using this clinics services in the future, and until they change things about their business operations, I would not recommend you do either.Edit: Weirdly, right after I posted this review they got back to me and let me know they could refund me over the phone. Anyway, Ill bump up their score because of that, even if the timing is odd lol
Weve taken our cat here for routine visits twice and had an excellent experience both times.Dr Pruden takes plenty of time to answer all our questions, shares helpful tips and is kind to both animals and humans. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful. For instance, they taught me how to put my cat into a carrier (Im a newbie) and were flexible when I needed more time to get there. When I had questions, they took the time to do research and got back to me.The prices are on par with - if not a bit lower than - what we paid at other vets in Brooklyn. The wait time is about 15 minutes - not too bad.I am glad we found BedStuy Vet.
My dog injured a baby bird and I called Bedstuy Vet Clinic…. Within 8 minutes a very kind vet arrived on foot rescue the bird and rehabilitate it.
This clinic was recommended to me by a friend with a larger dog. I had my first appointment at the clinic this week for my new kitten, and it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Truden and her staff are so friendly and so helpful in teaching me how to take care of my cat - from what kind of food is best to how to trim her nails. They even called the day after my kittens appointment to make sure she was doing ok from the vaccination shots. Im so grateful to have such a great clinic nearby.
Dr Pruden is the best. She’s been our vet for more than 20 years and has taken great care of all our 5 pets throughout that period of time. I could not recommend Dr Pruden high enough. Excellent.
Great experience, the vet was very caring and accommodating to my cat’s need. Very much appreciated.
I have an older dog who had been diagnosed by two other vets as having a thyroid tumor but neither vet could or would advise me on the best way to proceed. In desperation I came to Dr. Pruden at Bed Stuy Veterinary Clinic for a third opinion, she was clear and concise and very knowledgeable and the path forward was therefore made clear to me. It was a very sad diagnosis but I knew she was absolutely right and she will now be our Veterinarian and Im so glad to have found her. Trust and a clear voice is often what we most need since our pets cant talk to us and I got that, thankfully, from Dr. Pruden. Cant recommend this clinic enough!!!
Excellent customer service through and through. From the time I booked my appointment to our post appointment follow- up, the staff are thorough, straight forward and caring without being overbearing or pushy, as I’ve experienced in the past with other veterinarians.
I got an appointment quickly so I went but I don’t think I’ll ever return. The front desk was a mess and didn’t properly greet me. For the price it costs to get a basic exam, I would expect a nicer greeting and fresher office. The doctor was ok and friendly. Her assistants though seemed out of it, clueless, and unfriendly. Hoping to find a better neighborhood vet for next time.
I am very happy that I came to this veterinary clinic! The Dr and staff were so great! I would 10/10 recommend this vet to any friend.I was seeing a vet nearby but they were still not allowing in-person visits because of COVID, so this prompted me to see if there were any other vets around allowing in-person visits and not curb-side. My Morkie is 10.5 years old, so I feel that these visits are increasingly important that I wanted to be there for.The exam by Dr. Pruden was the most thorough exam Ive seen a vet give to my little guy! She took her time and we had great discussion about my dogs habits/concerns/well-being. The team was very translucent with pricing and wasnt pushy about getting extra tests or procedures done like Ive seen other vets do. The pricing was on par with the nearby vet I was previously seeing. It was overall a great experience and Dr. Pruden is now my permanent vet!
Amazing service through and through. I was truly blown away by how smoothly everything went. My cat, who is usually very nervous around new people, was so calm and well behaved. Highly recommend this location— especially if you are new to caring for a pet and are unsure where to go.
We just met the team and me and my fur babies are very happy. I’m bad with names but everyone was great with us and they even called later to check on my cat.Now we have been coming here for years!! I don’t trust anyone else but Dr. Prudent and her team.
We were given a quick fix treatment for a very serious health issue. We trusted this clinic and their expertise/guidance and it was expensive!!!Our cat died because the vet told us to expect him to pass a huge obstruction with mere cat food - no follow up - no concern after the initial treatment. Misdiagnosed. Misprescribed. Our cat DIED three days after visiting this clinic and being prescribed treatment, which I feel was negligent.Do not take your CAT to this clinic. Go elsewhere if there is any possibility that your fur baby will need urgent or serious care such as surgery. Best get another opinion.
My experience at Bedford Stuyvesant Veterinary Clinic was awesome. Dr. Purden and the staff are wonderful. I was so worried and nervous about my cat. Dr. Purden immediately put me at ease, she was so kind and professional. Im forever grateful for the care, advice and tips she gave me on caring for my cat. Anyone in need of veterinary services head straight to Beford Stuyvesant Veterinary Clinic you wont be disappointed and the fees are reasonable.
This was my first visit so my opinion could change. I had an appt that conflicted with a prior appointment I forhot about. This was my only day off from work and they were very accommodating and squeezed me in although they close early today. The staff although young were friendly and professional. The Vet was very pleasant, knowledgeable and educated me by talking me through everything that she did , which I truly appreciated. I got a crash course in the dos and donts when it comes to my dogs health.I have another appointment coming up. Will see if my oppinion sticks.
Dr pruden has a great demeanor and energy to her. Went in for a simple checkup for my cat and will need to go back for dental work but she handled the cat like she genuinely cared and felt in good hands.
Unfortunately it seems like i’m not the only one that’s come here to get their kitty taken care of, only to get a misdiagnosis. adopted our baby & noticed she kept itching her ears, which the vet assured us was just “because of ear wax”.she continued after the vet’s prescribed treatment of casual ear cleaning, so we decided to get a second opinion. our new vet let us know that she had the worst case of ear mites she’s seen in a kitten.incredibly kind doctor + technicians, but would not recommend for an accurate medical assessment.
They took care of my Marty recently and he is back 100%. He had a blocked urethra and had trouble peeing. They watched him for two nights and helped nurse him back. Huge shoutout to Jeremy for being a superstar vet. Hopefully we will only be coming back for regular check ups.
Really great place. its small but both the vet tech and the vet herself are wonderful. i think my dog gets more thorough care here that i have ever seen at a human doctor.UPDATE: theyre still great and lovely as ever :)
I just wanted to take this time, to extend my appreciation and gratitude to the ENTIRE staff at Bedford Stuyvesant Veterinary Clinic! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and with exceptional customer service. I explained to one of the assistants my 18 year old cat was not eating, was low on energy, and was refusing to use the bathroom. They took my concerns in such a serious matter, and treated him right away. They suggested for him to stay overnight as he had to be hospitalized. Boy, did that make a difference! Not to mention, the medication he has been taken has improved his condition tremendously! We thought we were slowly losing our Hoody but all he needed was the assistance from these angels, who just happened to work at this veterinarian clinic. I consider them to be angels because they worked a miracle! Literally! They also suggested for me to stop feeding my cat, “ Fancy Feast” and instead, to feed him “Hill’s” cat food as it’s more suitable for cats who are diabetic. The food is a bit pricey but it’s worth it as it’s a lot more nutritious. My cat loves it! I have never seen him eat so much! It was a game changer! I left that place with absolutely no regrets. There are an innumerable number of vets to choose from but I’m glad I chose this particular one. So please, do not hesitate to bring your pet here. You will be glad you did!
Today I had an emergency Visit, with my fur baby(Goldi) to see Dr Prudent, who made it possible. Dr. P is one of a kind, very professional and caring; her staff follow in her footsteps all the way, friendly & through with instructions on discharge. Wonderful experience, highly recommend.
Excellent service, space was tight but short wait time.Easy to get an appointment in the community!
My previous visits with dog Sandy were rated 5 stars. This time I brought my 8 weeks foster kitten Velvet for a second opinion regarding severe eye condition before making a final decision with the shelter about surgery. Dr. Prudent was on medical leave and the sub vet was excellent. However, I cant get the medical record of the visit! Since they couldnt give it right away, the front desk promised to email it. I called later to remind, next day I walked in person and was denied. I begged, asked nicely and angrily-they didnt care. Ladies, this is not a broken nail problem, this is severe eye condition which needs a surgery! And I need the record urgently, not in a week, a month or a year! In case you didnt know how to attach a document to email, I came in person to pick it up. If you dont know how to press a print bottom, I could have shown. If you had no paper or working printer, I could have taken a snapshot with my phone! Do you have a heart at all?I wanted to notify dr. Prudent of what is going on during her absence, but was denied a number.Im too upset to ever come back to this office unless I hear from others that the front desk personnel have changed or their attitude to pets and their owners (fosters, in my case) has changed. This is unacceptable, inexcusable and simply WRONG! Shame on you, Lucy and Vanessa!
I recommend anyone to this veterinarian clinic they are the best this is the place to take your pets thank u 😊
I’m sure this is a fine vet for healthy animals, annual check-ups, and routine non-surgical procedures — But I would not recommend sending your animal here for a more complex issue/injury. I had a hard time having this doctor take my concerns about my cat’s poor response to treatment seriously... two months (and several thousand dollars) later, he’s finally getting the care he needs ... from a different vet. Once again, I’m sure this place is fine for non-complex issues, but if you don’t want to take the risk that I did, consider elsewhere.
I can’t say enough how great this place is. ive been going here for a little over a year since i got my dog from my mom who could no longer take care of her - since i didn’t know her medical history and i’m a bit of a dogpchondriac i’ve been here a lot. dr pruden knows soooo much. she is also really budget conscious and often offers helpful low-cost alternatives to bougie dog things (like how to quickly wash rock salt off your dogs paws so you can skip the winter booties). every single person on staff is knowledgeable and kind to human and animal alike. both me and my dog are always excited to go there and in a good mood when we get home. i only wish they also took human patients.
Very lovely place, took care of our old little puppy in the most caring way. Would recommend it to everyone.
I feel so blessed to have Dr. Tryna Pruden and her wonderful staff right here in the neighborhood- within walking distance. Nobody knows dogs better than Dr. Pruden! They are kind, attentive and extremely generous with their time. I recommend them highly !
The Vet gives great advice and shows a great deal of interest in my pet. She made him feel comfortable and me as well. I would recommend taking your pet here. Great Customer Service
The day I went in was particularly busy but I still found the service to be excellent wait time aside. They were very patient and non-judgmental to my large dog of a constantly misunderstood bred. Lucy was very accommodating and knowledgeable and their love for animals is very apparent.
DO NOT GO. overpriced and will try to sell you services that are not needed. they showed me an estimate for 450$. i declined a test that was listed as 87$. my final bill was still 442$ because they readjusted pricing on all services.Wouldnt take my dog here if she was dying. I woukd give a 0 rating if possible
Charged me for x-rays and would not relinquish them to me as she passed the ones she took in 2011 as the recent for 2020. Charged for test she never took. Of all test you should take for cats are rabies $510.00 and no rabies shots. Beware be very aware!!
Dr. Pruden is kind and thorough. She will carefully examine your pet and give you guidance on what your pet needs. My first time was a great experience.
One of the worst vet experiences I’ve ever had! They handled my cat roughly and had no bed side manner at all. The doctor also gave wrong diagnoses. Overall, a truly traumatizing experience for me and my poor cat.
In my dogs 14 year lifespan, coming from the midwest to Brooklyn, bedstuy vet has been one of the best experiences for me and my dog. Caring. Loving. Respectful. If you have any doubts, worry not, your pup will be in good care!
Friendly atmosphere, professional and clean environment. Staff is great! These guys know what theyredoing and can handle my 97lb dog who is very anxious and scared on visits. Highly recommend ❤
Best vet in the area. Got me a day of walk in when I didn’t have an appointment. Nicest staff possible
My beautiful amazing 3 y/o French Bulldog was killed by my neighbor and I was an emotional physical wreck.... My partner found this vet office online and we took him into this office with Godspeed! We were rushed right into a room and taken care of immediately. Their compassion and professionalism is compared to none! We were allowed to stay as long as we needed and given every option of what we could do to make his burial process smooth and easy. While these decisions were being made, they made our other Frenchie very comfortable as he was in total shock and already grieving the loss of his brother.
These people are scammers - they will try to upsell you on a simple visit. My dog has a UTI and they want to give him an x ray ... a simple medication they could just write for the dog they want $250 ... $65 visit, samples, and an x-ray. Even when i went in for a vaccine they upsold me on everything in the book trying to diagnose other issues. Dont go ...
Excellent vets and techs! The only people that can handle our very strong 3 year old pittie.
WORST SERVICE EVER. AND EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. Poorly maintained and cleaned. You are always going to have to wait over an hour even though you have an appointment. They charge for standard things that a vet would just do as part of the exam service. I called a head to confirm cost of services and they still charged me way more than they would said and APOLOGIZED because they didnt understand over the phone the request. Even though it was CLEAR.
Ive been to a couple vets in NYC and this one is by far the best. Theyre punctual so your not waiting there forever and they really do care for your pet. The whole faculty was great as well. Great prices too.
Love the staff worked with my budget mr buttons and I approve
My puppy was 2 months old when she started seeing the doctor. She will be 2 years old in May,2023. Great experience.
Really lovely people and honest pricing! Best vet Ive been to in Brooklyn. Saw us on an emergency visit during the pandemic - Got an appointment same day have been coming back ever since!
Went last Tuesday for a punctured paw on my cat, prompt and courteous staff and a very loving doctor attended my cat. Went for a follow up again and was attended to shortly with more tips and tricks to keep my cat in better health for the future
Excellent Veteranarian service, extremely helpful to my German Shepherd & myself. They can handle any dog - my dog is not a good patient but, they did excellent with her.
I took my dog in 3 weeks ago, waiting over an hour. Blood work done, x-rays done, biowaste taken and my dog died early this morning. I was given antibiotics and some ew dog food and was told she was fine and now she is gone. I do not suggest anyone to come here if you want the best treatment for your animal!
OMG! This is now my Official Favorite Vet! After going thru insensitive other Vets. Dr. Pruden reallyyyy cared. Like my Pet isn’t just a number. She took her time and assessed my Dog more effectively than any other Doctor. I’ve been looking for someone just Warm.. I feel Safe and not just whatever your overreacting. I Recommend her if I could give 10 Stars I would. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
A lovely place with excellent and friendly staff . We finally found the perfect vet for our dog, Zola!
Very nice staff ,especially the receptionist. Small waiting area including their check up rooms but great service!
We took our cat to Dr. Pruden at the Bedford Stuyvesant Veterinary Clinic because she had a bite at the base of her tail from another cat. She was given surface stitches and a plastic head shield and antibiotics. More significantly, the area wasn’t bandaged. Within two days, she had gotten out of the shield (it wasn’t large enough) while we were away. She then chewed at the tail until the stitches were gone and she had bitten a deeper wound. We called. They said the doctor wasn’t in, they didn’t have anyone else, and they could only recommend some emergency clinic place. Instead, we took her to the Prospect Park Animal Clinic (here we’d been in the past.) They had to do double stitches (inner dissolving ones and outer regular ones). They gave her a larger shield. They put a very secure bandage over the stitches. They also said we should only be giving one antibiotic per day instead of the two that were prescribed by the first doctor. Two a day are known to cause various problems in cats.We paid the first doctor $418. The second one charged $332.I called Dr. Pruden to ask that we get some kind of refund on money which was entirely wasted. When I said that, without bandaging, it was too easy for the cat to get at the wound, and told her that it now had good bandages, she said, “Oh, I never put on a bandage.” I told her that I’ve had multiple surgeries and I’ve never left a hospital with open wounds, so I didn’t understand not covering the raw stitches on an animal. She also refuted the issue of the double dose of antibiotics. When she said, “Well, you should have just come back here” I asked her why we would return to a place that had done such an unacceptable job. She had no answer to that. She said she’d think about it and call me back. She didn’t, so I called back, and again she said she’d think about it. Again, after waiting some days, I had to call because she didn’t call me. At that point, she refused outright to give me any refund. Her bad practices caused our cat much further pain and trouble, since the new, deeper wound took longer to heal, and it caused us a great expense.
It was so easy to make an appointment. The physical space is a bit tight, however the customer service was amazing. I loved how they treated my pet and truly valued both of us.
Super friendly and professional stuff . Really rear low price for such a great services. The main thing you can easily to schedule an appointment. My Dog Larry is Highly recommended this place )
Dr. Pruden is very thorough. She truly loves animals and gives great advice on how to care for them. My pup loves her!
They lost my dogs chart, which is like the one thing a vet can’t do…Update: they gave my new vet an incorrect record of my dogs vaccines. Do not go here!!! Dangerous for your pet if they can’t keep track of what shots they’ve given.
Bedford Stuyvesant Veterinary Clinic is awesome especially the services and reasonable Prices. After spending thousands of money for over 10 years with my pets, I finally found a clinic that charges less in animals needs of crisis. #############1
Vet and employees were all very nice, very gentle with the cats, waiting room was a bit crowded but thats to be expected giving how many other vets have closed recently.
Horrible they have the dogs barking in the backyard for over 32 minutes daily!! When you call or stop by an ask can the bring the dogs in they just hang up or stare blankly no I apologize no Concern or care for the people living in the area. Mind it be like 8am!! Some of us have children, newborns or just elderly or work overnight. Maybe they should hire a dog walker to run them to the dog park for some hrs
Miss having them as my Vet and considering a 20 minute commute to see her instead of my local vet, so thought Id show the team love who always showed cared to ask questions and listen, didnt overcharge and waste clients time, and diagnosed my cat right vs generically
I love how the staff and Doctor was so friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a little more expensive than I expected but I figured for quality care it was worth it. I would definitely refer a friend as well as take Boots for a second visit.
CHECK YOUR PRICES BEFORE YOU PAY. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. I went to this vet for some boosters and lymes disease antibiotics. I had the medical history faxed over but the Dr. had not read it so there was a lot of confusion about what should be given. I was charged over twice as much for the boosters as my other vet. The antibiotic was $135 for 20 pills of Doxycycline. I was told I would have to come back and get the other pills because he needed a check in. In the course of the conversation it seemed clear that he did not need a check in but that they did not have the rest of the medication. This may have been because if they charged me for the month supply they would have charged me $450 and it would have been more clear how ridiculous this was. I was in a hurry so I paid. After I immediately called Bidawee, my other vet. The Doxycycline for $20 pills was only $35. The lady at Bidawee told me $135 was insane to charge for that medication. Of course Bed Stuy Vet would not take the medication back when I complained. I asked why it was so expensive and the women at the desk said that she did not make the prices. No, but your boss does and the Dr. is taking advantage of people that do not know better. CHECK YOUR PRICES BEFORE YOU PAY. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.
Dr Pruden is just the best. She always takes great care of my Eva and has helped her lead a happy and healthy 12 years of life
Had my cat spayed 2 years ago - haven’t thought much about the procedure other than the outrageous cost ($800) and extra $100-$200 charge if your cat is in heat (which seems like an unreasonable thing to charge extra for considering I have no control over that, also they could completely lie about it.) I was put off by that, but I didn’t have other experiences to compare it to, so I brushed it off as normal.I’ve recently switched veterinarians, and during a recent check up, I was questioned about a bump on my cats nose. I realized it wasn’t something that she always had, but I noticed it developed after she was spayed. I looked at photos of my cat post-surgery (with the cone on her head) and noticed a healing scab on the bridge of her nose. My vet said the bump is likely scar tissue from an injury. It seems as though it was sustained during the procedure, whether it be before or afterwards.I don’t want to say I’m BLAMING this vet for the bump that exists on my cats nose. However, I do think that if she was to have gotten injured in their care, that’s something they should probably have mentioned to me.
Neglectful. Money hungry. Malpractice. My pet had cancer and the vet did not identify the tumor as a tumor. They do not care about your animal here. Stay far away!
Nurse bitched me out when I brought my cat. Just assumed I feed my cat crappy food and woukd not listen to anything to the contrary. She was of no help. Took my cat to another vet and actually had her urinary issue taken care of and learned its not as relat3s to diet as previously thought. Emotional issues cause pH imbalance in cat bladder.
Very loving and caring although a small place its packed with love, and peace. An abundance of information and knowledge to help manage my cat. I highly recommend this place.
Not great hours/availability. Clinic is also quite small, but all the staff is lovely and knowledgable.
I have a rat who, post-tumor removal surgery, has developed an ulcerated cornea. I called the office, explained the situation, and got prices for both the exam and the flourescein stain that would be needed in order for medication to be prescribed. I made an appointment.Upon arriving at the vet, the tech looked in the carrier, pointed out that she was sick (isnt this the reason we take animals to vets?), and said that they would not see her. Lots of BS apologies and no answers.Im unclear as to why whomever answered the phone initially would give me this information just so I could waste my time.Bottom line: this vet doesnt deal in sick animals and their staff clearly has no idea what theyre doing. Steer clear.
Very caring and conscientious of your feelings and your pets. Straight forward about their practice. You might get greeted by the big orange 🐱 who never introduced himself but is very glad to meet you!
I had a nice visit at the veterinary very professional experience
After moving to Brooklyn from Florida, my husband and I wanted to find a new vet who would make our senior cat and blind dog feel very comfortable. So happy to have found this place!
SHE HAS TAKEN CARE OF MY SON SINCE HE WAS BORN 11YEARS AGO! HE LOVES HER! SHE IS KIND, LOVING AND GENTLE! OH AND SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! MY SON LOVES PRETTY WOMEN! SO BASICALLY SHE IS THE BEST VET I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH!
The customer service was amazing and the medicine and advice dr pruden gave me made my dogs health better in just a few days honestly dr pruden has been my veterinarian for about 15 years and has always done an amazing job I have no complaints
Bedford Stuyvesant Veterinarian place where honesty is one hundred % A clinic down town bklyn over charged my cats care sick two weeks later another high bill midnite sick from same illness I found Bedford Stuyvesant clinic the price was affordable told me the truth for my cats condition problem solved been going to Bedford Stuyvesant veterinarian for more than 10yrs always satisfied with midnites clinical care and loving staff ❤ five 🌟 plus
I took my cat in for a exam. The staff was very kind and friendly, Dr. Pruden was great with my cat, who is currently on a diet. I will be returning to see Dr. Pruden for further care for my cat. Thank you
Avoid this vet practice at all costs. They are Understaffed, non responsive, and ran like a high school group project.
They treated our new pup Elliot with care and they got him to calm down in the room and also the staff was great and the doctor explained everything to us.
Not many places like this... Loving and compassionate doctor Helped my 15 year old yorkie. Amazing care.. You can feel the love from the doctor and the employees what a beautiful place...
Place is a little small but that make up with excellent staffs and cleaniness⁴
Great place. You can tell that they truly care about the pets and their #1 priority is your pets health. I’ll be taking my pets here from now on.
Simply Lovely! The staff is kind, courteous and helpful.
Been w them the last 10 years, Dr Pruden is a consummate pro and always displays patience and warmth..with even the most unruly patient. Terrific staff
Dr Pruden and her staff are always great with my dog Sandy. Dr Pruden explains everything thoroughly and is very on point with my dog
We love Dr. Prudent and her staff. They take great care of our pets and we really like her approach.
They are so sweet in there! Very pleasant staff! The doctor love pets
I made an appointment for 1230. I showed up at 1230. I understand theres usually a wait at vet offices, but I was not seen or even greeted as I waited all the way until 1pm. I left.
Both times the vets and clinicians have been extremely helpful answering our questions and taking care of our babies when they werent feeling so well!
Service and treatment of animals here is truly outstanding. I will be recommending Bedford Stuyvesant and will certainly come again. Thanks for all your kindness!
Thank you for taking care of my baby boy Toby. Everyone that works there is very attentive and it’s my pleasure bringing toby there.
Doctor is amazing very friendly ! but the front desk lady named lucy she is so nasty on explaining stuff so rude if it wasnt for the doctor i wouldnt go back because of the front desk .
We have been taking Chica to Bedstuy Vets for several years. They provide excellent care. They also take great care of her when we leave her here for boarding.
Frist visit Good Vibes Receptionist/Vetenarian where professional Bellas (Dog)new doggie Clinic Mayb they will get the other star will see...
Great staff and service!!!Milo thanks you
Great service and very kind staff!
I love Dr.Pruden. The exam space is very tight but doesn’t interfere with care for the animals.
Excellent service! Great Vet and Great staff! Melissa went out of her way to help me! Thanks a lot!
The team always communicates well with us and their consistency brings comfort to us and our cat. Thank you!
Brought my kitten here. The vet fixed his messed up foot and gave me tips on keeping him alive. A nice place.
You all were very helpful and caring and Im so happy weve found you!
Disgusting practice. They are under new management and they speak to customers horribly. They’ve inflated prices up to 300%. when asked why their response is “ it’s my price I tell you how much I want to charge you”. 6 months ago $135 today it’s $450 for some shots. I have placed a formal complaint with the BBB. Oh and funny thing is I record all my calls that was submitted as well. Please deny if you want. If you treat humans like this I can only imagine the poor sick animals.Apparently they fired the old staff and hired these new ghetto people instead. Trash clinic.
Dr. Pru is incredibly knowledgeable and cares for your pet as if he/she were her own.
Sir Amos was treated like the king he is
I was very nervous about leaving my pet with this vet clinic due to obvious reasons because there new too me and Ive had the worst luck in previous places. My pet is also a pitbull and naturally I worry of how shes going to be treated. On her first stay, everything went well. Of course my pet had patches of hair missing in some areas but if you know your pet, animals do get anxiety as well. But she still healthy and because shes a senior dog, she looked like she was treated well. Shes staying again son and I do feel confident that she will be treated like the little old lady she is.
Great experience very professional dorctor. Really recommend clinic for your pet!
Helpful advice and great service!
Staff is very friendly helpful and caring when caring for your pet and their needs.
We love it here! Always feel like we get great service!
Very kind and knowledgeable. They love animals and it shows.
Friendly and fun staff, easy to walk in with emergency, they really love animals!
Very detailed and informative doggy care
The Doctor and staff are amazing very caring and professional Im happy I chose this place....
Caring service for my small dog. Im a long time client, and remain consistently pleased.
Highly recommend*. They even took the time to follow-up with a call. Expect to wait because they are always super busy. Just make sure to set appointment ahead of time otherwise last min is possible with a wait. Vet seemed pretty thorough. Front of staff is on point.
The workers Are very friendly and cooperative and patient. However the waiting room is small.
I had a terrific visit when I went there the doctor there she was so friendly and helpful the staff was excellent and they really care about your pets they give them the kindest treatment and such love. Three weeks ago I had to put down my fur baby and they were so understanding and so patient and they showed that they really did care I was a mess they comfort me the best that they could and I appreciated that. I went to another veterinarian before I came to Bedford Stuyvesant and the doctor never explained anything to me she just took my money and I felt like I got ripped off so when I saw this veterinarian and my neighborhood not too far from where I live I said let me try her and Im glad I did excellent service.
She’s amazing patient kind reasonable and available
Dr. Pruden is great with the animals keep up the good work you do.

They were rude and didnt want to take care of my dog because I walked in without an appointment
The staff was efficient as always, the wait time wasnt long and the vet was caring and loving towards Bella. I love coming here.
