They charged me 170 plus 5$ tax but gave me the tax money back when I complained cause I personally never got taxed on a dog cut. They did a decent job but the hair was a bit uneven in spots, they didn’t cut their nails short they barely cut them and they also said every dog get a bandana or bow and they didn’t give my dogs one. They could’ve done a better job. Or have a groomer that is bilingual so they could fully understand every customer and request

Went there for the first time on Thursday And I have to say the haircut is the best my dog has ever had. The pricing was on point and they were done within the hour. My dog has never looked better. Would highly recommend To anyone in the neighborhood.

The best prices in the area ($65 for my 12lb doggie) ! I was happy with the quality of the grooming. There are no appointments so you just walk in and drop off your pup and then they will let you know how many dogs are ahead of you for an estimated pick up time, but of course call you when your dog is finished. We will for sure be returning for Chloe’s next grooming!

They did a great job cleaning up my little mophead. We had given our dog a very uneven leg haircut at home and Lucy’s perfectly evened it out and cut the rest of her hair down to our desired length. Our pup came out looking adorable and smelling great. Super affordable pricing here too ($65 for our small dog) and the service was great.

My family and I been taking our baby here for YEARS. However, after we went back to them for pick up one day the Groomer informed us verbatim that “your oldest dog had an ear infection because there’s a lot of water in his ears” and was ecstatic to offer ear drops for a price (on top of the price for our baby being groomed) Now when our baby needs to be groomed we IMMEDIATELY take him to Lucy’s Lucky Dog! We don’t give him any baths at home for the simple fact that we’re aware if you get water in your dogs ears that it can cause an ear infection. Now if we don’t give him baths at home because we’re afraid/ nervous of getting water in his ears and ONLY go to Lucy’s because they’re supposed to be “trained / professional(s)” where did he get the infection from? We obviously made the purchase for the ear drops because we obviously don’t want our baby to suffer, but my recommendation is PLEASE BE CAREFUL who you leave your baby or babies with or just find somewhere with ONLY good reviews! Because UPDATE TIME !! When my family member spoke to my Tia, my Tia said that she took her new baby to no other than Lucy’s and her new baby came home with an ear infection!! Something’s got to give. At this point I don’t know what the heck they’re doing in there but they got to get it tf together!! (Excuse my language) but understand my frustration none of us like to see anyone’s baby suffering the way they’re suffering after visiting Lucy’s “Lucky” Dogs. The only Lucky thing you get out of the experience is getting out of this place and NOT returning. Please take what I’m telling you into consideration!

Best groomer in the area!!Always compliment my dog’s coats and are very attentive to detail.They are super gentle with and take really great care of them. The staff at Lucy’s will work very hard to make sure your dog has a positive experience with them and returns to you feeling and looking fresher than ever.Businesses like this one are what make our neighborhood feel like a tightly knit community.I wouldn’t recommend any other place!

I’m highly annoyed that Lucky Lucy is high jacking prices due to COVID-19.. so I lowered the star from 5 to 4..I have been a customer for more than 18 yrs n two dogs later. 90% of the time .. they do excellent hair cuts for my Zeppolino.. we recommend them highly. Say Zeppolino sent u.

I love this place for my dog.This dog groomer is open from 7am and accepts walk ins.Before the place open theres a line of people waiting lol by 11am the place is full.The next appointment you could be lucky to get is the afternoon.I always ask them to cut Roscoe hair really low because it grows fast and gets tangled.

It is good they leave them clean and nice they treat them good they make the dogs come out brand new they do everything to the dogs it is good.

Warning to Dog parents:Ive held this in for two years now and Im ready to speak on the trauma this place has caused my family. The 2nd weekend of July 2022 our dog Chloe suffered paralysis within hours of getting groomed at Lucy Lucky Dog. We noticed something wrong as soon as we got home, and chloe went from limping on one leg to dragging it, to full blown paralysis in her two hind legs. We called Lucy Lucky Dog to ask if perhaps something happened during the session, perhaps she fell or they accidently dropped her and John was rude stating nothing happened and hung up. We rushed Chloe to the ER, and we were told she had 3 ruptured balloon discs in her spine and needed surgery and PT, or she would no longer walk again and eventually die. The entire ordeal cost us $9,000. We agreed to the surgery and thankfully, within 4 to 5 weeks Chloe recovered and started to walk again. Thankfully, Chloe is still with us However, she has never been the same. She can no longer jump, take long walks, and she can never play with other dogs due to her sensitive nature. Despite all, Chloe is resilient and has her good and bad days and we are so proud to be her parents. With that said, I warn all dog parents to find someplace else to Groom your dog. I believe that the high volume of dogs groomed there played a major role in her paralysis. Several vets stated that whatever happened that day definitely contributed to her paralysis However they cannot confirm the exact action, which would cast reasonable doubt in a lawsuit. And thats the ONLY reason we chose not to spent thousands more holding them accountable. Again please be careful dog parents. Theres negligence in this place. One thing that stood out to me about that dreadful day was an unfamiliar groomer that walked in to work with a child between the age of 10 - 12, and I often wonder if perhaps this stupid lady allowed her child to handle Chloe because she is small (7lbs).Nowadays, we only take her to groomers in open spaces where we can see her getting Groom from a distance and doesnt distract the process. If after my review you continue to go there, my advice to you is to dont let your guard down, and Question any concerns.

This is a great small family business. I brought my very nervous pit bull to get a bath and nail trim at Lucys lucky dogs. I was very worried because my dog can get easily stressed out, but they were very kind and understanding. They called right away when she was ready and she smelled and looked wonderful.

My dog has severe razor burn around his private area. We can’t even go for walks without him stopping and opening up. They also cut the hair on the top of his head which I asked to leave. I would not recommend. Seems like they rush through cuts and the quality of service is not being maintained.

They cut pebbles hair just fine. They have transport for your pet. Price is ok.

They was rude. I have a gave my dog, a cut my second dog have a bump next to his mouth because they didn’t clean the razor. The lady catch a attitude with me and the lady grab the dog from my hand when it’s my dog. The lady sucking her teeth. Next time if you’re going here, make sure to go with the guy with the glasses he is super nice. But today the lady was here and she started being rude and she screams at the dogsIf they move. Today my dogs came home, crying. They don’t answer their phone and they got me worried sick.

It was my first time reaching out to this place since I moved to Brooklyn. I called and inquired about making an appointment for my dog to be groomed. The man who answered the phone claimed it was first come first serve and they were all booked up for the day so I could bring my dog the next day ;they would be open at 7am. I bought my dog in for a full service at 10:30 am and asked when should I pick her up. The man then said since my dog was a small breed (chihuahua/pug) mix it shouldn’t be long and to come back 3:30pm. They claimed they had others ahead of me. I came back at 3:30pm the man then told me to come back at 4pm she would be ready. I arrive around 4pm he then rudely asks”didn’t you call and I said 5?” He changed the times 3 different times. At this point I just wanted my dog back so I asked him for her and she had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SONE TO HER. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE. I don’t know what their intentions with keeping my dog so long we’re for. I even spoke to a frequent customer outside and he agreed the time they were taking to release my dog was weird as he said his dog grooms in 45 minutes and he had a bigger breed. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS. Unethical of staff.

So to say my puppy who is 5 1lbs and I pay $80 .Im not complaining about the price but my puppy was razor burned and so scared after leaving there he havent eaten for 3 days now all he does is cuddle up under me and do not even want to leave my room. Sorry I taught petco was bad but they 💯 better than here

Great PLACE to take your friend, they are awesome!! Even LilyRose (dogs name) like them! The staff is very friendly, not only to you but your dog as well. The service is really good, I really got MORE for my dollar than at other places. Will comeback again.

Best groomer experience in Brooklyn! My dog is always looking and smelling amazing every single time. They also make sure your dog is up to date on all their shots so it puts my mind at ease in that respect.

Im very picky as to where I take my fur baby. This groomer is the best. They listen to exactly what you want. They also ensure that all the pets are vaccinated which is important. My dog is comfortable here, Ive taken her to other places and she would shake and cry. She always comes out looking adorable, smelling clean and looking amazing. They are also very affordable.

We didnt notice right away, but when we got home we noticed a bunch of cuts. Given we have dropped off our dog to other groomers before and never had an issue like this, as well as bathing and grooming him myself, he is not squirmish, so I know this is carelessness on their part. They are the cheapest in the neighborhood, but if you care about your family member, I take them elsewhere.

Today was my first time taking my small dog here and I must say I was very pleased with the result of my dog. If its your first time bringing your dog, you will be asked to bring in proof of their rabies vaccination. I brought my dog in with a few matted spots when I took her in. When I got her back she looked exactly how I wanted mohawk & cute bow around her neck. My dog was happy with her experience. I will definitely take her back to this place its in walking distance and its affordable for full grooming services.

I have been taking my dog here since they were originally located on Metropolitan. I never had a complaint on the way my dog was treated or the way they cut my dogs hair, however the only thing is they book fast. So, you must wake up super early to get a spot.

Do not take your dogs here they are extremely abusive, look at their photos all the animals look miserable after their visit. My friends , niece took their dog there and he was strangulated leaving his eyes blood shot red just like some of the dogs in the photos. The dog was taken to a vet and they ruled it out as pressure strangulation ! Please do not take you animals here !

I’ve been taking my cat to get his nails trimmed here for about a year. I always call ahead to make sure it’s a good time - and never have to wait! We are always out in under 10 mins which is important, especially for cats since leaving the house can be traumatic.

I have been taking my Poodle here for many years they are the best. When I moved I tried a groomer closer to my house and their work wasnt no where near as good as Lucys Lucky Dogs. I travel the distance to get the fabulous service and my dog loves the treats they give her after she has been groomed.

I Love the fact that I do not have to make an appt I just decide wake up early and plan my day better! So far the haircuts have been good and fair! They are quick and friendly but I think their cologne be stronger they dont usually smell like cologne!! Over all four stars !

Exceptional groomers, friendly staff and owners, I have been going ther for 10 years. Completely trustworthy. They call you once your pet is completed and my little buddy is always looking good, smelling good and happy. I love this place and highly recommend!

Called to ask if they had openings today, they said yes to come in now and they’ll take my dog. I walked over there in 10 mins and when I got there they told me that they had dogs and that they would call me back in about 30-60 minutes to bring my dog in. Why tell me to come in because you’re not busy to then tell me to go home and that you would call me back? Wasted my time walking over there when he could of told me he would call me when they’re not busy. Anyways, it’s been 2+ hours and they still haven’t called. Probably won’t be coming back even though the people seemed nice 🤷🏻‍♀️.

They had my dog wear a muzzle. My dog is 10 years old and has never bit anybody or anything other than her toys. I understand the policy, but still, compared to other dog groomers, this place seemed less welcoming.

I have been going to Lucys lucky dog for many years. Now my niece is taking her yorkie .yesterday she came home with alittle bruise by her eye.and her tail was not groomed the way they normally do. My niece is a little unhappy with it.

I love taking my Spartacus there , I feel they are caring to my doggie and with that they got my heart my baby comes back happy playful, I use to take him to and other places and Spartacus was sad when he got home.

The person who picked up the phone was rude and abrupt. I was inquiring about my puppy and when he can be groomed/bathed. He said he’s young but if you want to bring him in and something happens “I don’t want to hear about it”. That’s horrible customer service. I will find somewhere else to take my puppy. 👎🏼

They were so sweet to my long haired chihuahua. The bathed and trimmed the hair and nails so neatly. Didn’t miss a single one where other places have missed one or 2. I wish I found this place sooner. Hours are a little different but works well to drop off before work 7 am-3pm. Muchas gracias or todo.

Theyre great with our four legged babies, the staff treats them like theyre own. My bear always comes back looking so handsome and happy, and bear is a mean aggressive little morkie not everyone can handle him.

Been my groomers for years now i have can all my dogs from my pekninesse to my micro pomeranian to a maltese i was fostering and always pleased with the hair cuts and always favor the dogs breed they truly are great and dedicated. I tried other places including petco etc some were okie but other will leave my babys looking like weird crackhead mutts lol or like botched haircuts

The most reliable for more than a decade taking care of my dogs, also they are great at dealing with difficult animals like my Max and you can request any style and they deliver.

Refuse to work with poodles. All they want to do is skin RAZOR your dog! When I complained, the owner was indignant! He kicked me out after bringing my previous dog there for years. Then I was called a liarSIR, I TOOK MY DOG THERE SINCE YOU WERE off METROPOLITAN AVEA case of total disrespect . Find a place that doesnt act like all dogs matter! I miss the little Hispanic lady who was loving! The gentleman at the desk who handles the dogs has no love for the animals. He just takes your dog and has no interaction with the dog or customer. This place has gone down .0/10 2024 Reviews matter! Be nice to your clients. Stop RAZORing dogs because you take 50 dogs a day with no appointments!

Honest truth, the owner is very obnoxious to his workers and rude. Im not sure if he was trying to show off, but its not cool, mistreating people,straight out abuse. Thank god, my dog is okay, but she was very unhappy,very angry. I felt my dogs energy never like before. Shes normally very shy,sweet, and very baby like. Never have i seen my dog so vicious and scared as like she tried to protect herself from whoever was horrible to her. When I picked her up, she was very sad, very afraid, and became vicious, Im guessing..so she can keep whoever it was away from her. Never again, Ill bring my dog there. Just for anyone else that would want to know, Go doggy is amazing.

I took my puppy here last week as we just moved to Williamsburg. The staff was friendly and her cut looked good HOWEVER she came home with red marks near her stomach where she was clearly nicked or cut too close to skin :(

While this used to be my go to place to bring my cat in for a quick nail trim, I was just informed that they no longer provide nail trims for cats, and if I want to get a trim Id have to pay $150 for a full cleaning (quite a jump from the $20 trim). Pretty disappointing news after Ive been a loyal customer for almost two years.

I brought my 4 month old puppy to the shop. I was nervous because he was getting his first hair cut. Lucy and her staff were extremely kind and understanding. They gave him an amazing haircut and made sure that he was comfortable and cared for. I can not explain how happy I am overall with their service. I don’t normally write reviews but I had to for this experience. Thank you so much!

Took us a year to find a good groomer in Brooklyn and am so glad we did. The first time EVER a groomer has done exactly what we wanted, and with a super short convo about it which is very impressive. They clearly love animals here. They only do walk ins so best to get there early am.

I have been going to this place since they were by metro grand street and they were always good as of late theyve not been providing the service they are supposed to yet increasing the price the haircuts have been sloppy leaving long hairs there were a few nails on my dogs that were left long And a few cuts that I had concerns with I addressed with them I dont think Ill be taking my dogs ther ever agaain I dont feel as though my dogs are having a good experience there its unfortunate because they used to be really good but now its a mess unprofessional And its not my 1st bad experience with them its been more than 5 bad experiences and the owners attitude is not something I have patience for I have to constantly check him about it but now its not worth the attitude the money or the experience

I have been going to Lucys for 9 years now, they offer really good prices and my little one always gets a good haircut and a cute bandana. I usually like to do walk-ins and you should absolutely do it early in the morning, or call and make sure they still take walk-ins before heading there. The spots fill up quickly especially during weekends and summer times. They are very efficient, I usually get to pick up my baby within 2 to 3 hours!! For first timers, you need to bring your puppys vaccination records!

The grooming is okay. But the gentleman in the front that checks in the dogs, needs to work on his communication with customers. There was an issue with the handling and I ended up being charged twice for the services done for my dog. I went back to the shop to explain it to them along with proof from my bank stating that there were two transactions done, he took no responsibility and said “that’s not our problem” and constantly kept interrupting me not letting me get a word in. I never got my money back and when I tried to dispute it, the bank asked for a statement from the business and they declined. They’re thieves with mediocre grooming! Go somewhere else

Terrible job on my dogs hair!!!!!!!!!!So disappointed because I showed the groomer how she cut his hair the first time and I didn’t like it. I showed what I wanted and showed her the photo (twice) of her previous work and what I did and didn’t want her to do. She seems like she just shaves all puppies down with the same low cut to make things easier for her. She doesn’t care what customers want and just does what she wants.His nails are also always long after being “cut”I will NOT be returning

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! Im only rating them one star because there is no option for zero. I took my dog here to be groomed, while trimming his tail they cut it! Which resulted in the bone being exposed and my poor pup having yo get the tip of his tail amputated. I never saw a dog in so much pain. In addition his back was so scratched up, I had to treat it with triple antibiotic ointment.The vet said if I didnt he wouldve most likely ended up with a skin infection. There were so many scabs on him. Afterwards a couple other people in my neighborhood who got their dogs groomed there told me theyve experienced their dogs getting cuts there and had to treat it also.Their prices are good but its not worth a $900 vet bill (what my vet bill came up to) or your pup being in pain.
