Paws In Paradise NYC

P&P has been taking care of our Weimarners for a decade and always been wonderful to us. Most recently they helped us with our senior Weim before her passing and now are helping us with our 9 month old puppy. Their day care team is wonderful and always caring and helpful. They all are good to our pup and us.

Took our dog Hugo for the first time and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! After taking him to a closer groomer and always getting back an anxious high strung pup it was so refreshing that he came out so happy from his experience here! Definitely recommend

We were so lucky to find Paws through a referral from a friend. They were so kind and supportive to our needs and schedule for our dog, who truly loved to go! They have helped us out when we were in a pinch on more than one occasion and we could not be more thankful! We have truly used almost all their services, daycare, boarding, grooming, pick up/drop off, walks! The staff are so helpful our dog was always so happy to spend the day or go on a walk with their staff! We were so sad to leave when we moved away, but forever grateful for their staff and all the care the provided for our dog over the last 4 years! THANK YOU!

We’ve been going here for a few years now to have our Springer doodle groomed. Stephanie always does a beautiful job!

They always take good care of our puppy Archie! Paws has become a huge part of our connection to the neighborhood. We love when Archie runs down the block because he can’t wait to see his friends at Paws

Love this place when it comes to grooming because the Groomers have experience and they know what they are doing . Also my dog every time she leaves from this place from getting a haircut she looks so cute and people looks at her makes them goes “Awwww” and the “OMG moment” . Before and after picture.

Stephanie is a great person she knows how to make your pet and myself feel comfortable with the process of grooming. I recommend this place and Stephanie to everyone who has a pet.

This is a belated review as we have since moved out of the area, but during the 2+ years we lived in the neighborhood we went to Paws for daycare (often multiple times a week), for boarding, and for baths/grooming, and they are AMAZING on all fronts! Our big, independent doggo Ziggy was always thrilled to be dropped off there (as in, he wouldn’t even look back as he sprinted outside or downstairs to play) and we loved getting to see updates of him getting loved on, on Instagram. They have great play and nap areas for the dogs and really seem to pamper them all like they’re their own. We relied on them heavily after welcoming a new human member to our pack, and having a sort of second home for Ziggy to play and get snuggles during some days really helped with the transition. Thanks for everything, Paws! We miss you all!

They have a great selection of pet food, treats, supplies. They are always so kind. What we love most about Paws is their pet sitting service!! They watch our cat regularly. Reasonably priced for a home visit and the staff is always so friendly when they give us updates. Highly recommend!

Great daycare. I brought my nervous pup (he is scared by the sounds of grooming noises), but when he heard the excited voice of someone in the daycare he hustled down and was comfortable enough to eat his lunch on the first day [doggie daycare parents you know sometimes thats not the case in a new place]. They were thorough enough to follow-up with me afterwards about the experience, and I recommend them highly.

Our pup just loved Paws in Paradise—and so did I! Judy and her team took care if Champ as if he were their own dog! We never worried when Champ was in their care. They’re really flexible with drop ins and reasonably priced. We’ll miss you guys now that we have moved!

The staff are so flexible and communicative. We use daycare with pickup and dropoff, sometimes last minute depending on work schedules, and they go above and beyond to work with us and figure it out.

I moved to the neighborhood recently and found Paws in Paradise. It was very easy to set my dog up for daycare and the staff made me feel comfortable leaving him with them. Jojo takes a long time to warm up to people and dogs, but after a couple of days he was pulling me to the door! Will be bring him in often so that he can get some exercise. Never tried out their grooming service but Ive heard good things about it from a neighbor that gets their dog groomed there, probably try it when it gets warmer. I have a pekingese.

Great place for all of your doggy day care needs. My dog wags his tail every time we walk by and tries to go in he loves being there so much. A bit pricey for grooming services on big dogs, but besides that I really recommend!

I have taken my dog here a number of times for Doggy daycare. He is very sensitive and likes it there. He wags when he goes in and is happy when he comes home. I was very hesitant to bring him because of the horror stories online, but he really likes it.

I went to visit this place as a potential daycare for my dog. The girl at the counter was not right. She was screaming in my dogs ear and flipping her hair constantly, coughing, and couldn’t answer a simple question. I’m truly concerned about the well-being of the dogs here. Definitely not coming back.

Great. Easy to register. My dog loved being there all day. I liked that they were on top of the shots. When his bortatella shot expired they required me to update before bringing him back. Quick to drop off. And required ID to pick him up. Friendly staff.

Judy and the team at Paws In Paradise are hands down the best! I actually visited another doggy daycare in Brooklyn prior to leaving our Puz here and can honestly say we are very glad we chose them. We had originally only planned on leaving our puppy there for two days of day care but after how much he loved it (and how great he slept at night!) we ended up bringing him back almost every day for the next two weeks. Sadly we are leaving the city but would highly recommend Judy and the staff and will miss being able to drop Puz off daily for a fun filled day!

Our dog Lola comes here for grooming, and always comes out with exactly what we asked for (and smelling great!) At past groomers she’s come back to us anxious, but that never happens here either.

This place is the best and affordable. Carlos is my dogs groomer and he always cuts her beautifully. Im moving out of state and do not know what I am going to do without them. Highly recommend

This place is CRAZY bad!!! Our dog got bit. The guy runs the place is as nice as a prison warden. They are very sketchy in their billing, as well. They lost our dogs tags and when our dog got bit the owner basically said it was our fault.If the customer service is an example of how they treat your dog while they are there then I would highly recommend not letting them watch or groom your pet.

My dog had been sick at the time and he was all smelly so I brought him here to get a nice grooming about 20 minutes after I left him there they call me saying that there is something wrong with my dog so I zoom over there to bring him back to the vet the car ride over there was just this loud scream cry we get over there and he died they had to put him down wanna know why? It wasnt because of the sickness one of the people at the vet broke his neck while grooming I hope nobody ever takes there dog here! Did I mention the dog is a 5 pound pomerainaian that is 1 and half years old do your dog a favor and dont go here!

I went today July 26, 2014. My dog is a full breed West Highland white Terrier (AKA a Westie). When the groomer asked me what I wanted to do, I said I wanted a bath for him and a traditional Westie haircut. He proceeded to review my dog (thats when I shouldve left--but unfortunately I didnt) and said his hair was matted or very tangled. Usually when this has happened to me in the past, they tell me that they will charge me extra for de-combing the hair. So I didnt think much of it. I told him specifically what length I wanted the hair of the face and then left. 2 hours later I saw a dog that I didnt recognize. They shaved off ALL of his hair, including the face. This is a dog that has won competitions for his beautiful hair and pedigree. All I could do was cry. I shouldve left without paying, but with the shock I just paid and left. They charged me 70$ for this atrocity. Please DO NOT EVER bring your dog here. PS: the groomers name is Carlos. He did not take any responsibility for what he did and just said that my dogs hair growth would start fresh. I am still in shock and in deep sadness. I dont know if my dogs hair will ever grow the same, as he is 11 years old. This place is horrific.

A great place, the workers are friendly and love animals. They do every service here related to pets. They are great at what they do and we have no intention of going anywhere else.

Love how they treat my dog. I always come in to a welcoming environment. They always love seeing my dog. Its kisses and sweet greetings for her, and her grooming appointments always come out exactly as I want!

We drop of our chow chow mix to get trimmed here ever few month. Always friendly service and they do a great job. Very even trim and never notice any irregularity from the trimmer or anything liek that They usually leave about 4 inches of fluff on his tail and Im always amazed at how even they get that too.

Love getting toys, treats, and sweaters here for my 70lb pitlab. My dog also had entropion surgery on his left eye and the Hemp quiet moment treats (CBD) helps him with his eye pains and its cheaper to buy here then online.

Many people have been making horrible accusations and believing a certain story. Its very sad that the dog died, but the story is not clear so people should stop saying all these horrible things and trying to ruin their business. My dog has been very well cared for every time Ive taken him there and many other people can agree.

Can someone explain to me why the story about this dog being killed always has a different story. First it was 10 mins than 20 mins and the dogs reaction always changes and reason why you brought the dog in. The whole story seems sketchy. And I saw on the news a picture of a x ray of a broken neck but it never said the time of when it was broken. How can someone prove that, let the police investigate before you say bad things about the business. Like you said the first time you wrote this review under 3 different names, it was 10 mins, thats probably not even enough time to notice the dogs behavior if it was brought in injured. I know paws in paradise for a year now and it has a very well trained, and kind employees working there and the owner has passion for the business and the animals she takes in. Instead of assuming and starting to ruin a businesss image first let the police investigate it.

We love this place! They do an amazing time making our pup look even more adorable than she is naturally. Friendly people too!

Beware this place is not worth it to do services here! No considerations on what the customer needs for thire pet needs. They are limited on what they can do! They wont go the extra mile to please your dogs needs

I bring my dog here for daycare all the time when I leave town. I always pick him up happy and healthy, so it is great to have a place close to home that he loves and I dont feel so bad when I have to leave him behind

Extremely rude lady in the front handling appointments and calls. Weve tolerated it a few times, but recently she just took it to a new level.Were no longer coming back here.

I been taking my yorkie there for a few years and i just saw the news about the poor dog that died n i will tell u that i really never check the reviews about the place i decide to go in today n read the reviews and i regret taking my fur baby there i will say that there was one time that i took my baby to get groom n i dont know if it was when i went to pick her up or drop her off but i hear a worker screaming at the dogs downstairs n i said something about it n the guy at the front desk try to say it was nothing i will never trust a grooming place again unless its an open area that i myself can see them bath n groom my fur babies thank god that nothing ever happen to my babies because i would not leave with out everyones heads in my hands u just dont do that to a precious dog or any kind of animal !

Paws has been my go-to place for grooming and dog-sitting for seven years. These people are awesome.

The service was good, slightly too attentive but Its nice. The place is nice and cozy. Very understanding and communicative and great prices. Thank you for a great time!

I’ve been coming here for about five years and I cannot speak highly enough about Paws In Paradise. Their daycare is incredible. All of the employees absolutely love dogs and treat them as if they were their own pet. Every time our dog comes in, he’s thrilled to see everybody (both the other dogs and the employees) and runs around like crazy. I’ve never seen a dog be so happy to go to daycare.We have a little dog and the group is mixed (with big and small dogs), but he has never had even the slightest problem. They make sure to only accept dogs that get along with everybody else, and I’ve never heard of a problem happening. Like I said, our dog is always thrilled to go in and always has a wonderful time.Additionally, this is where we go for all of our grooming needs. We are not the type of people who are looking for an extremely complex grooming job. They may well be able to provide that, I just cannot comment on it. I’m always looking for something pretty basic. Like a summer cut, or a trim, plus Little things like having his teeth brushed, nails clipped, a bath, etc. And for that, they do a wonderful job. People always comment on how good he looks when he comes out. It’s one of the more affordable and one of the quicker grooming services I’ve seen. Also, it’s extremely easy because you can just have your dog be put in daycare afterward if you’re not quite ready to pick him up or her up, and then stop by whenever.Finally, this is a small local business and it has all of the benefits that come with that. The employees are incredibly nice people, they truly care, and it’s the kind of place where we’ve really gotten to know everybody who works there over the years. We look forward to seeing them every morning and evening. The owner sends us a personal card every birthday for our dog. One time when we didn’t have a pet sitter at the last second for an important trip, the owner spent time helping us look for one and then ultimately her daughter offered to watch him. It’s that kind of place. When I call, whoever picks up immediately knows who I am and asks “is Bradley coming?” Five out of five stars honestly is not enough.In summary, this is it. Give them a try for daycare and I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

The best place in the slopes to bring your pup to get groomed! I bring my princess almost every month to get a haircut by Carlos and they do a fantastic job! They even put little bows in her hair! Adorable! I’ll continue to come here for my pups. Thanks Carlos!

Great local business, helped us take care of our dog from when he was a pup. Went for daycare for over a year and then had them do walks. Only feedback is I wish for daycare and for walks they would post more pictures. Other than that, everybody there is great.

I have a 4 year old pomeranian. i took him here to for a groom and carlos did a wonderful job. staff is very friendly. will go back regularly.
