Shiny Paws Grooming & Day Care

Charlie received his first grooming at shiny paws and it most certainly will not be his last! When we picked him up, he was so happy running around with all of the other dogs showing off his beautifully thought out cut! He looks great smells great and we can’t wait to take him back in 6 weeks for his next grooming! The place was clean, and the owners were very loving to the dogs!

Shiny Paws is truly the best place to have your fur baby washed/groomed!! We have a 145 pound Cane Corso who is not very friendly but he loves going to shiny paws for his bath!! They treat my dog like a king! This is the second time we came here and we are here to stay!! Thank you shiny paws for your service we truly appreciate your time! My little baby Jade looks amazing!!! Very professional. My dog is a rescue and is a 3 year old hound. They treated her like a queen!!! They cut her very long nails, cleaned her ears, and gave her a de-shedding bath. She looks and smells amazing!! If my dog who is scared of everything loved it your dog will too. Very professional.

My dog loves to hunt and last night, she cornered a skunk and got sprayed right in the face along with me. My friend reccomended this place and boy was it worth it. She went from having her fur reek of burnt rubber and rotten onions to the cleanest cut look shes had since we got her. She was also blowing her coat and they helped deshed her as much as they could and went the extra mile by putting this cute little bandana on her! They answered any questions I had and taken account into any notes. This is especially a great place if your dog loves hanging out with other dogs since they have a nice play room for them to roam around. Its also good since shes such a big dog and they handled her perfectly!

Such an amazing job they did on Ava. She loved being around them and almost didn’t want to go home. HIGHLY recommend. It took me awhile to find a groomer I liked and I’m glad I found Danny and his team.

I’ve been using their service for a few months years now, and I absolutely love everything about them. They do an amazing job on my dog, Simba. Amazing treatment and care of my puppy and my mothers little puppys first grooming. My dog was my tea-cup yorkie Biggy. I have been using Shiny Paws for over a year and they are the best. They do an amazing job with my dog every time. Plus they generally care about your fur baby. When my dog had a horrible allergic reaction I didn’t know what do so I just called because I needed some help and although my dog didn’t have an appointment the owner was able to give me advice on what to do and it worked. They treat your dogs like their own. My dog gets so excited when we arrives at the groomer. You guys are wonderful and please keep up the great service.

I was so nervous to bring my dog to a groomer since he hates bath time but they took great care of him at Shiny Paws! He came home supper happy, looking and smelling great! You can tell they really care about the dogs here. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Shiny Paws is by far the best grooming service I have ever used. I was able to make an appointment quickly and easily for my dog Bruno and upon arrival I was greeted by amazing staff members. Bruno felt at ease and the communication was excellent as they let me know exactly when I was able to come back to pick him up. My handsome boy will definitely be back again for this amazing service and the cute outfits they sell as well. He was the talk of the town when we left and it was partly because of Shiny Paws and their attention to detail. The rest was just his handsome face of course. Before and After pictures are provided.

Murphy, our Whoodle, spent 3 days at Shiny Paws for his 2nd stay.Murph LOVES it at Shiny Paws. In the first phone call I knew that I was in for an incredible ride! Top tier customer service, took my big baby on a Sunday with 1.5 hr notice, upon arrival explained what service my dog-son was going to receive and with zero wait time! Very nice, spacious parlor with a play area set up to allow your pup to relieve themselves at any point and greeted with such a warm hello and welcome! Let me not forget to mention that a host of other services are offered from training, daycare and boarding, which I will be seeking in the very near future! When I picked my baby up I couldn’t help but smell the love that was poured onto him in their care!!! I am highly impressed and thankful for the care.

I have been coming here few times with my Pomeranian, Kobe, and I couldnt be happier with the results! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They took the time to understand my preferences for Kobe’s haircut and clearly have a passion for what they do.When I picked him up, I was blown away! I have brought my dog to many groomers over the years and Shiny Paws is by far the best. My dog has no hesitation about walking in, she is calm when I pick her up, she is bathed well, her nails are nice and neat, and she is brushed very very well. Excellent grooming here.

Great , warming and safe environment for your dog’s overnights stay and grooming. We left our 14 months Shihtzu for 8 days and felt very comfortable when we were on vacay. We were able to face time her which was a super plus for us.

The BEST Groomers!! My dog Chaz was in bad shape, however, these groomers allowed him to come in on short noticed and they took really GREAT care of him. Chaz looks like a new dog when they finished. I appreciate them so much for their services and professionalism.

Had my granddaughters extremely matted Goldendoodle picked up and groomed by Benny of Shiny Paws. When he brought her back I couldnt believe my eyes. She was beautiful, wearing a rose on her collar and smelling awesome. I couldnt have been more pleased. I will never use anyone else.

My 6 month old puppy first experience here. Although I was skeptical about the location I gave this place a try because of the 4+ star ratings. I don’t regret it. My dog got a teddy bear cut and it came out great!

I have been taken my two dogs to Yuav and his wife and they do a great job. I will be back again. Highly recommended.

I would give them a -1 start if I could. These people should not be booked for any dog grooming services. My dog and my personal belongings were thrown on the ground by this racist lady when she refused to groom my dog due to this “matted” fur. My dog was not MATTED AT ALL but since she wanted to just shave my dog off aggressively, she created a narrative stating my dog was in bad condition even though he was not matted or in bad condition. In addition, they left bruises and cuts on my dog, which I thought were just minor accidents from his previous grooming appointments. Seeing how she handled my dog, I am 100% sure it wasnt an accident, and she shouldnt be handling anyone elses dog. On Instagram, the majority of her followers are fake! In my opinion, most of these reviews are fake, and I advise you to never use them to groom your dogs. The fact that they are home based speaks volume and I feel thats why shes ok with being so unprofessional! DONT BOOK ANY SERVICE WITH THEM, AND I KNOW SHE MAY RESPOND DUE TO HER UNPROFESSIONALITY, BUT MAM, DONT EVEN THINK OF IT, your grammar and etiquette alone are far more sufferable.

My wife and I have been to numerous groomers before, but no place like this. Sammy was so happy with his new haircut, he usually hides and is uncomfortable for a couple of minutes, but today he was joyful and refreshed. The staff was very caring and gave Sammy the same treatment they would their own dog.

Shiny paws, grooming, daycare is a wonderful place the gentleman there. I believe his name was Daniel is wonderful with pets my dog took to him like an old family member. He is wonderful. His place is wonderful. His staff is wonderful and he took good care of my Siberian husky Lupo, I was very apprehensive at first leaving him there, but when I picked up my dog, he was so happy and kissing Daniel. I don’t think he wanted to leave but a great grooming place Your Doggo will have a lot of fun there

Took my 5 month old puppy Stormie here after reading all the wonderful reviews on Google. Im always anxious about going to new places, especially when it relates to things like this. Danny was great! He was welcoming and engaging, but most of all, he delivered what he said he would. My puppy looked cuter than when he went in, smelled amazing, and they even put a cute bow on him! Its all in the details, people! I found the price point to be great for me, especially in this economy. Danny offers other services like doggy day care and training. May their business continue to prosper!

I have 3 dogs which are my babies and I don’t trust anyone because I’m an over protective dog mom. Shiny paws are amazing, they are companionate full of love and very loving groomers. I’m shocked to see some of the reviews of others, those reviews must be coming from miserable ppl or from competitors . Shiny paws are my go to place and when I pick my pups and they are happy you know that they were taken care of with the utmost professional and compassionate staff. Love you guys way to go. Been sending Hulk here for the last couple of months. We did the Groomit vans for a while and couple other places. We had issues either with the quality of the cut or Hulk being uncomfortable with the groomer.Hulk has been coming back here in a good mood and a looks great. They do a great job everytime and really appreciate their patience during the mail cutting.Highly recommend!

The owners of this grooming facility are amazing. Dropped my sweet Rusty off at 10AM and he was ready by 1:45 (I was super surprised because it usually takes groomers 5-6 hours, he’s a poodle mix and has very difficult curls) Upon arrival, they were extremely sweet. I love that this is not a kennel based groomer, it allows for the socialization of the pups in the premise. The facility is very secure. The neighborhood is super quiet and cute as well. Thank you for taking care of my Rusty and caring for him as if he was one of yours! I’ll definitely be returning.

Great groomers - Dog is a Bernedoodle so he’s tough to maintain and always a mess when I drop him but they do a great job. Dog always doesn’t hesitate to go with them which is always a good sign.

I took my 4 and a 1/2 month old Cockapoo to Shiny Paws today for her first haircut. I could not be happier! Me and my dog were greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. My dog was immediately cuddled up with the very kind gentleman that greeted me (I believe this is the owner, if I’m not mistaken). It put my worried mind at ease when I saw the attention and affection he was showing my dog as soon as we entered. They treated my baby like a princess and when I picked her up, she looked amazing! My dog is only 5 lbs and is VERY afraid of loud noises ever since we got her. I know she did not make it at all easy for the groomer because of how afraid she was! But the groomer did not complain to me about this at all, and they in fact told me that they understand and reassured me that next time she shouldn’t be so scared, not to worry. They told me that they took frequent breaks to play with her and show her some love, to try and make her less scared. This really comforts me! I know that my baby was in good hands! They cut her hair exactly the way I requested, as well as cut her nails and cleaned her teeth and ears. She smelled delicious! I LOVE that the dogs are not kept in cages while they are there. They are free to walk around and socialize with the other dogs that are there. I will absolutely be taking my dog back to this groomer for every single haircut! If you want your dog to be treated with love and made to look like a superstar, take them here! Well worth the money. Thank you, Shiny Paws!

Had a wonderful first experience at Shiny Paws this past week. Me and my mom were so warmly welcomed when we brought our goldendoodle George there after being highly recommended and getting an appointment immediately. They listened about how we wanted him groomed and delivered to perfection. They took such nice care of George & we will definitely be returning!

Was my first time taking our new puppy to be groomed. Shiny paws grooming was so kind , gentle, warm and loving. My puppy was so scared at first. She held my puppy till she calmed down and showed her love to make her feel comfortable. I have to say I was also very nervous, but they did a great job and will definitely be coming back. We had a wonderful experience with my Pomeranian Roxy’s grooming. She can’t stand well due to arthritis and I was allowed to stay to hold her during her hair cut. Odelia is so sweet and calm, and Roxy definitely felt comfortable with her. Everything was done with ease, even nail clipping which she usually hates. She smelled wonderful and her haircut was super cute. She was even given a cute pink bow to wear around her neck. Thank you and looking forward to our next appointment!

I had such a wonderful experience with Shiny Paws. My pumpernickels went in looking like mad max😂 and came out looking like a celebrity. And did I mention amazing breath😆. The owners were more than welcoming and very attentive to my needs and wants for his grooming session. They squeezed me in on such short notice as a first timer just as long as I had updated vaccinated documents upon request. I would absolutely recommend anyone to them. Also, they run a doggie daycare and overnight stay as well. My pooch is as a happy camper as can be. It feels so comforting knowing your fur baby is safe and in a healthy social environment. Shiny paws Whoa!! I’ll start by saying the response to my inquiry to have my puppy groomed was super fast and I was able to secure an appointment in the next 48 hours. From the time I dropped my dog off, very welcoming, polite and professional assured me my baby was in great hands…. I picked up my puppy and was blown away by how well groomed he was at a fraction of the time and cost I usually pay at Pet smart. Shiny paws has a client for life. Thank you thank you thank you!

This was my first time here with my mini labradoodle and I was just blown away at how nice and friendly Yoav was with the entire process. I called Monday for an appointment at the last minute and he squeezed me in for today. He happily answered all of my questions as this is also my first time owning a pet. He did not rush me. He explained why he would have to cut this or keep that. It was also nice to see a glimpse of the doggy area because in many salons, it is all hidden. I was able to see my dog interact briefly with the other dogs before I picked him up. I was able to pick out an outfit for him (the leather coat was not expensive at all!) and they took pictures of him and posted it on their Instagram. They made my dog feel super loved and that is what matters to me. I’ve been to another salon in downtown Brooklyn but they lost my services after my experience here today. My friend recommended me to this groomer and I am now recommending you. They also have a daycare which I am excited to let my dog attend this week. Their prices are more than reasonable and they deserved a really really good tip. I don’t live in NY anymore but coming here today made everything worth it for my dog. I want to say more but I will let the kindliness of the owner and the outcome of your dog’s stay speak for itself!P.S. my dog is quietly laying on the couch. That to me says it all. He is BURNT out. I was on a search for a new groomer and came across this amazing place. When I met the groomer Odelia, she made sure that Lucky felt comfortable and that was a big plus to me. When I picked up him up he smelled so wonderful, had on the most adorable tie and most importantly, he was so happy. She did a wonderful job and I will recommend this place to anyone!

When I brought my dog to the groomer, I asked that he separates my dog from other dogs, because it will scare him, and make him even more anxious. I was told “no problem”. When I came back to pick him up, my dog was surrounded by dogs, and the groomer told me that he actually let my dog socialize with other dogs, even though I specifically asked him not to. He told me my dog was mooving a lot, being difficult, and being anxious. (duh!)The groomer told me $80 on the phone, but asked $100 after grooming. Even though they didn’t separate my dog as I asked, I felt bad that they had a difficult time and tipped an extra $20.BUT THEN I came home and saw that they CUT my dog’s paw pretty badly. The groomer never pointed out the cut! The haircut looks good, but if you can’t separate the dog as the client asks, hence making him anxious, then cut his paw, making him scared, hurt, and even more anxious, maybe say NO? I would rather have them turn me away than stress out my dog, and cut his paw… and then complain to me that my dog was being anxious. He did just fine at his past grooming appointments. No cuts, no razor burns, no anxiety, no other dogs to stress him out during the grooming.

After a long search for groomers near me for my 8 month old Golden retriever I came across Shiny Paws. The reviews were great and I instantly gained trust over what I’ve read. I ended up calling and got an appointment right before thanksgiving just what I needed. Took him to his appointment for 12, now my golden is very hyper and he’s a puller I won’t deny that so the owner did very well with managing him. They took less than an hour with him which was surprisingly fast . With my first glance my baby looked great, they took out the knots behind his ears just like I asked but his fur was still damped. As I took him home and inspected more I’ve notice the trim on him was horrible! Now the owner did tell me they only wash these breed of dogs with de shedding shampoo and comb the fur which is also strange. The back by his private area looked like it was chopped up the hair all sorts of uneven and there was a bruise on his manly part. His nails were horribly trimmed and his hair over all was just so uneven and just hard to look at . Now I paid 150 and gave 10$ tip so 160 for this service I was quiet disappointed. I’ve seen so many goldens getting groomed online and it’s definitely not what my puppers got . He also had this dry patch on his left hand which was so weird. The sad part is my handsome guy didn’t even make their page on ig like I found it so odd that they didn’t show no love to a first time customer . Oh well I will be searching for another groomer because shiny paws isn’t for me or my 4 legged baby .

The dogs at Shiny Paws daycare are never confined in crates. Yoav and Odelia have created a “Paw-fect” canine lounge with cushioned rest areas where the dogs can relax, eat, and socialize. All the dogs are fed, walked, and taken to exercise at the nearby Strickland Avenue park several times a day. In addition to their exceptional daycare services, Yoav and Odelia also provide raw food meal options, grooming, and training upon request. I have an 11 month old havanese puppy that spent the winter with us in Florida. although she was groomed while we were away, the outcome was mediocre. Our fur baby is super active and it was difficult for me to brush and comb her thoroughly and so the matting became severe. My husband found Shiny Paws on Yelp and was impressed with all the reviews. We decided to call and ask if we could meet the groomers and see their location. They were welcoming and we were very impressed with the workspace; clean and most important, no crates and no dryer boxes.We made an appointment for a week later and I was really nervous about taking our baby somewhere that nobody I knew had recommended. It took them much longer than the estimated time which was very understandable. They had to take their time with her since she really was a handful and very matted.But what a job they did.!!! She looks absolutely adorable. and the nail trimming is the best I have ever seen by any groomer or vet.Our fur baby will be a regular patron from now on.
