We went in with a highly reactive 1 year old lab puppy named Dobby. In the 6 sessions we’ve done we have seen major improvement! Gia has been great in tailoring our 1 on 1 sessions to address what Dobby needs to work on. We will definitely be continuing his training with them!

My dog Dishka and I have been having an amazing time taking scent work classes with Gia! We decided to take scent work classes as a low-impact activity to keep Dishka enriched after running into some health issues. Gia has been incredible at teaching us the foundations, navigating through obstacles during training, and increasing the difficulty at Dishka’s pace. We’ve both learned so much and truly have fun at every class, and when practicing at home. Looking forward to continuing building our skills with By My Side K9.

We’ve been taking our 5 month old puppy there for their 6 week program and feel like he’s had amazing progress! Our pup was starting to develop some bad behavior and looking for trainers was really intimidating until we found By My Side. After going in for a consultation we knew it would be a great fit! Jess and Gia are so informative and really help us understand not only how to train him, but why certain things do/don’t work. They work on the basics and also focus training on where we would like to see him improve so it’s great to have the collaboration aspect. Gia is absolutely amazing. She worked with me to train my boxador (boxer/lab mix) and if you know those breeds, they are very demanding and energetic. Gia helped me redirect a lot of his negative energy into a positive, calmer and more commanding response, he has been easily manageable and it’s because of the techniques I was taught and the consistency that Gia always imbedded in me! We had a wonderful experience with Giavanna and Jess. They are professional, knowledgeable, informative and personable. They gave us one on one lessons to help our newly rescued dog behave. They modeled, then watched us follow their lead. They gave us notes with precise steps for everything they taught, so that we could practice at home. Jess and Gia are abosulety amazing! They are extremely knowledgeable, caring, patient, and passionate. Every week Tank has became more confident ,more obedient and comfortable. Not only was my dog Tank being trained but I also got the experience of being a better dog handler/ owner. And only 6 sessions Tank learned positive reinforcement, clicker training, obedient commands, recall training and more. Giavanna and Jess are absolutely amazing! I went in with a very impulsive and hyper puppy and they were fantastic with personalizing his training to work best for him. Giavanna and Jess are always available to answer my questions outside of the training class too and are very engaging and hands on throughout. Highly recommend their classes!!

Gia and Jess are the best! The private lessons were perfect for our puppy! The training sessions were fun for us and the pup! They helped us with walking on a leash and basic commands. Our pup loved going to her sessions

Back in march i rescued my husky Achilles and quickly found out that i was in dire need of some training let alone my puppy lol. i came into contact with Giavanna and Jess on one of first walks and i am so very thankful that i made that call. The progress I have made with Achilles and all that i have learned and applied in my day the day with him since the training began has not only helped Achilles but has taught me so much and allowed to me to grow as an owner. Im a first time Dog owner and im truly grateful for Giavanna and Jess for everything i have learned so that i can provide the best life for my Dog. thank you and i hope to to continue training down the line to better my knowledge.

We just finished our 6 week private training for walking and greeting manners with our 1 year old pittie. We can’t recommend Gia and Jess enough for the work they have done with Nino. Not only are they professional and knowledgeable but also really care about the dogs. Nino is very happy to see them even though he has work to do. We were so impressed with the results that we signed up for more advanced training. Thank you again Gia and Jess!

Jess is an amazing trainer! She greatly improved Hercules’ behavior and leash obedience. He loved her and we recommend her to everyone we know!She also made the leash in the picture with my handsome boy!

It had been a while since we had a puppy. Especially, one that was 8 months old and almost 80 pounds. The ladies taught us how to control her energy, set boundaries, and basically express to her that she does not make the rules, we do. Doing this while still maintaining a bond of love and respect with our puppy.The change over 6 sessions was startling. Thanks to Jess and Gia for showing how to interact and interpret our amazing puppy.

Giavanna is awesome. She trained my Leo back in 2020. Now she is training my daughter dog Zeus. Highly recommend.

Gia and Jess have been an absolute life saver. I started 6 week private lessons for my dog Gallagher to help with his resource guarding, impulse control and overall obedience. Since working with by my side, Gallagher has gained so much confidence and were able to really get some of his unnecessary behaviors under control. After the 6 weeks of privates we’ve decided to continue for another 6 weeks so that we can build upon the foundation Gia and Jess helped us form, and emulate situations where Gallaghers training will come in handy! I cannot say enough about By My Side, they’re amazing trainers and they’re my gallys favorite girls! Can’t thank them and recommend them enough !!!! 🥰

I brought both of my dogs to work on specific things for each of them and they truly helped not only my pups come a long way, but me! Learning from them has been really helpful. Gia and Jess are the absolute BEST! They helped my boy, Prince, manage his anxiety. They both helped with all aspects of his training and addressed his individual needs. He is behaving so much better now and it is truly because their dedication! I highly recommend using them!

Giavanna is a very experienced dog trainer and she trained my dog who had absolutely no manners or prior training at all. My dog is very skittish and she grew to trust Giavanna. Aside from just learning the basic commands like sit & lay, we learned more important ones like wait and come.. although I use come around the house I thought I would never have to use it otherwise- until the other day we took my dog to visit my uncle and he took her harness off without closing his gate. She freaked out the second he took the harness off and she ran out of the gate going up his block towards a busy road. He immediately ran after her but it only made her more nervous and she kept running. I remembered what we learned with Giavanna and although she was scared I was taught never to chase so I asked him to stop chasing her. Once I got a little closer, I got down on my knees and asked her to come sternly. She listened and immediately came to me and I was able to grab her. I only had to ask once. I thank Giavanna for covering all grounds of training with my dog. She taught me things I never would’ve thought to teach my dog. If she didn’t have a recall command I don’t know if she would’ve came back so easily. By my side K9 training has two very experienced trainers & is the place to bring your dog.
