Woof & Tails Lodge

Mookie has been a frequent visitor to Woof & Tails Lodge since they opened over three years ago and we would be lost without them. The Lodge offers socialization and exercise in a super clean and SAFE environment amongst a staff that is as caring as they are friendly. Highly recommended to anyone with a dog.

My pup Jaxx loves Woof and Tails! It is a great place for dogs to get energy out, experience mental stimulation and socialize. It is a safe and fun environment! The rangers really care for the pups. Jaxx has been there for day care, grooming and boarding. No better place! Highly recommend!

My daughter has been bringing her Husky Labrador mix since he was a puppy. He is now three years old as soon as we mention Woof & Tails he runs to get his leash. The owner and staff are attentive and great with the dogs. Theyre interaction with the dogs are superb knowing our dogs is safe and tails wagging is awesome. They keep the place very clean and have fun activities for all the dogs large or small. Birthdays and Holidays are recognized too. I dont often write reviews but Woof & Tails has made our Rosco a part of their family.From a very happy fur baby Grandma.

I boarded two of my dogs, one large and the other VERY large. I do not like leaving my dogs with anyone but I was in a position to have to board them for a week. Upon checking them in, the staff was very attentive to all of the instructions (food, medication, treats) that I left with them. They asked pertinent questions and showed concern. The larger dog needs to take medication and gets quite upset when it is administered. That was done each day, a few of the days she needed some coaxing but they got the job done. The fact that you can watch your babies on camera is an added layer of comfort. Every single time I saw them, they were being engaged by the staff! My older girl (the VERY large one) isnt always so playful so I could see her resting and most of the time, someone petting her and giving her some love! Upon pickup, my babies looked great, tails wagging, happy! I would recommend Woof & Tails to anyone that is hesitant to board their babies. You WILL feel at ease knowing that they are in good and loving hands by fellow animal lovers. Thank you Woof & Tails!

We have been boarding our dogs here for years and the dogs love it. As soon as we go in the lobby they run to the gate and bark because they want in. The love the staff/rangers and they love them we know they are safe well taken care of. It is a great feeling to know they we don’t have to worry about them. Our daughter brings her dog there and loves it. The staff knows all of our dogs by name as soon as we walk in Great place and great staff you can truly see that they love working with dogs

I’ve been taking my dog to Woof and Tails Lodge since he was a puppy. 10 years later my old man still absolutely loves it! Day care is so convenient and helpful on those busy days that I don’t want to leave him alone too long. I am so thankful for the boarding option at Woof and Tails. I know he is in good hands with the staff there. My favorite thing is I can watch him play from the app on my phone. Super easy and gives me a piece of mind. I’d highly recommend Woof and Tails Lodge for socialization for the dog, they will have fun, peace of mind for you, and just because they are awesome all around!

Maggie loves going to Woof and Tails! Once we pull up she can’t wait to get in. The staff treats her like family! We would not take her anywhere else. She runs and plays all day. So just like a kid she needs her rest when she gets home. They have a camera system in case you want to check in on the dogs. The entire place is so clean and smells great! They have the best groomer too! The owner makes sure all the dogs are 100 percent up on the shots so the dogs stay healthy while under her care. I know we really appreciate that. We can’t say enough good things about Woof and Tails in Staten Island!

Woof & Tails lodge is my dog’s second home. our misty girl been going there for 6 yrs now since she was a pup. the exicitement & happiness she have everything we drop her off. the only place we trusted specially when going away, we know our girl is in good hands. they also have a camera that we can always check. also everyone is very nice. thankful for you guys!Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ive been taking my dog here since the second she had all her vaccines and boosters, having your pup play with other dogs is so important for their health and well being. Daycare has saved my life when it came to getting stuff done and needing a few hours of my high energy pup out of the house (lol). We do daycare weekly and boarding a few times a year. There is truly no other facility I would trust with my Goosey. The prices are so beyond reasonable, The management and staff who ive gotten to know over the last few years go above and beyond to make sure your pet has a comfortable and fun stay whether its boarding or daycare, or even grooming. Woof and Tails is the perfect place for your pet, I cant recommend them enough!

My little Louie has been going to Woof & Tails since he was a puppy. Everyone on staff is wonderful and I know he loves going because as soon as he walks through the door I no longer exist. I have peace of mind, when I take him, because I can look in on him throughout the day and see how much fun he is having and know that they are taking good care of him.

I’ve been bringing my 7 month old puppy for doggy daycare. He’s a very active mixed breed and he loves to go there. He actually looks disappointed when he has to leave! The staff are all friendly and helpful. And you can watch your animal via video to see what’s happening. I recommend it highly!

I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who needs daycare, boarding, or just to have a place where your dog can run around and socialize! I have been taking my dog, Archie, to Woof and Tails for about two months now. I have a very energetic dog that just turned 1 that loves to be around other dogs. I work 12 hour shifts at a time and like to make sure that those days he gets enough exercise when I’m gone. My dog comes home EXHAUSTED after hours of play! I am able to check into their doggy cam to see what hes up to there and he always looks like hes having a blast. There is always staff around and the place is pristine clean!!! My dog always comes back clean as well, even after running around with other dogs for hours at a time. When I walk in the workers remember Archie and are very kind, professional and trustworthy. I will always be a customer at this place and I am very thankful to have people I trust to take care of my pup!

Received a call while I was in Europe at 4:30pm NY time that they wanted my dog out by 6:30pm. This was on day 3 of a 11 day stay. We had to scramble to get someone to pick him up and then to make arrangements for a dog sitter. The reason for his eviction was his anxiety level. Weimaraners can be very anxious dogs. He did pass his temperament test and stayed there once before. I assumed that they would board my dog throughout my vacation. I am partially to blame because after going through the reviews more carefully, I saw that this happened to others.

I’ve brought both of my small breed dogs here for many years. I have never had an issue or injury. They have an interview process BEFORE your dog is allowed to stay there. If your dog is too aggressive with the “interview dog” it is not permitted, which in my opinion is a great safety check. It’s super clean all the time, never a “dirty dog” smell I’ve encountered at other establishments. I feel like my two little guys are part of a family when I drop them off and pick them up. The staff has always been super friendly and very helpful.There’s a review, 2 actually, by the same person, about the same situation but is totally contradictory. The place is amazing and clean and these people love dogs. The fact is, his dog probably had an ear infection already, but since he was going away he had no choice but to bring the dog. Shame on him for leaving a sick dog.

My dog Mylo has been going to daycare and boarding here for the past year and I have nothing but positive experiences here. The entire facility knows Mylo and they care for him as if he is family. I always think he is being a rascal since he has so much energy but they only compliment him and tell me they love him! Everyone is responsive and I have never not been able to drop him off to daycare, even if calling that morning. If I am working night shift or going away, I board him there overnight and have rarely had difficulties with availability unless I call last minute for the weekend (which is my fault). Overall, a great experience and I am glad for the great care of my dog.

Ive had nothing but a great experience bringing my dog to W&T. The owner and staff show nothing but love to each dog and owner that walk into the place. They know each dog by name and I only ever see dogs RUN into the place with wagging tails. I have an Aussie that has an endless supply of energy and he loves going to W&T. They also understand each breed and which dogs prefer or need smaller vs larger group sizes. As soon as I turn onto Sharrots Rd, my dog cannot control his excitement. I have been a customer for day care, boarding, and grooming. He stayed there for two weeks for our honeymoon this past November and we did not have any issues. We had access to the camera the entire trip and could tell that he was just as happy on the last day as the first day we dropped him off. The groomer also does great work. I would 100% recommend Woof & Tails for all three - day care, boarding, and grooming!

I am so happy that I found a place like Woof and Tails Lodge. The staff is a great group of people who genuinely love dogs and they treat your dog as their own! They do a wonderful job keeping the Lodge clean and smelling fantastic! I love knowing my dog is socializing and playing with other dogs! I can go on and on! My dog Benny loves it and I love it too!

I havent had too many experiences boarding my dog and this is my first experience with daycare but Wolf and Tails Lodge has been a positive one.I have used private individuals to watch my dog while my family and I were on vacation and they worked out well providing a very similar experience to home. Ive had my dog boarded in a kennel and it was not a happy time for her coupled with the risk of contracting kennel flu; I dont believe that I will go in that direction again.Wolf and Tails lodge appears to be a happy medium between individual and institutional. Daycare provides a large clean environment with plenty of opportunities for socialization indoors and outside. The staff have been friendly and appear to be genuinely fond of dogs with a good understanding of their behavior. There is a 3-hour behavioral assessment as part of their application process which I think its prudent and is at no cost to the customer.There is an option to watch your dog on video while they are at the facility through the use of an app. Daycare rates appear to be reasonably priced, totaling $37 for a half day, but Ive never had to use the full day option.I havent used their boarding option as of yet but they do provide snacks besides meals and an individual sleeping area with bed and blanket according to their website. I think that this would be a more comfortable and happier environment than a kennel but of course not quite so much as a home. Boarding can be quite expensive with estimates running around $70 per day.Some caveats... I wont pretend to know industry standard pricing but for some I would imagine boarding costs might be somewhat high. You have to pay for the dog watching video app despite the website and staff members providing a free option. When clicking on the free option on the website youre directed to the paid app which is disappointing. The camera clarity is abysmal and its difficult to tell what is going on other than a number of light and dark dog-like shapes running around thearea. I think that major upgrades are needed here.The best endorsement that I can offer for this establishment is that my dog appears to be happy going to daycare and seems to have had a good time when I pick her up.

My 6 month old, sweet tempered maltipoo was recently asked not to return due to a fault in the facility for not having the proper fencing in place to keep my dog safe. They claimed she was able to stick her head in between the door and the fence post and underneath the door. When my husband brought to their attention that they might want to put the proper door in place. They claim they’ve been in business for 16 years and they know what they’re doing. So they’re penalizing my dog for simply being a dog for something that can easily be corrected. This place is a disgrace.

I put my dog in for 4 days of boarding. My son and I had planned to be away for 4 days. However, his dog, who was at his home being cared for by his girlfriend, took a turn for the worse and the vet wanted to euthanize her. My son said not to have it done until he got home. We had to cut our time short by 2 days. I went to pick up my dog at Woof and Tails and asked if it would be possible to get a credit for the 2 remaining days. Even though my son had to euthanize his dog of 15 years when he returned home, Woof and Tails refused to even give me a 2 day credit to use at a future time. I have been a good customer there, both with boarding and daycare. When my dog caught kennel cough there, I did not complain. It cost me $90 for the kennel cough to clear. I called Woof and Tails to tell them about it, as advised by my vet. Yet, despite all this, they would not accommodate me in any way. They have lost a good customer.

I have been bringing my 2 dogs to Woof and tails for 4 years. I have boarded them and used multiple day services and purchased packages. As of last week I Received a phone call stating that my dogs are no longer welcome back and I cannot receive a refund for the unused day visits from my package. The woman claimed that my dog was trying to bite other dogs, I received no warning just a phone call stating that and she is no longer welcome back along with my other dog who had no issue. In the four years I have been bringing my dogs there, there has NEVER been an issue. I have gladly spent thousands of dollars using their services for my dogs. I called the owner multiple times and have yet to receive a phone call back from anyone. I have 6 days that cannot be used and are valued at 500$. The lack of communication and professionalism from this establishment is out of control. They had no issue taking my money but cannot return a phone call or return the unused days that I can no longer use. Do not purchase packages here because if anything goes wrong they will not refund you. And clearly the owner has no decency to return a phone call and be professional.

Would never recommend this place to anyone. I picked up my dog and noticed immediately his ear was terribly infected and oozing. He showed obvious symptoms of an ear infection the second I got home with rubbing his ear and scratching, and his tail was down. The Manager claimed he had no symptoms and they didn’t get his ears wet. I asked for the owner to call me back and she told me same. I caught her in three lies 1- she claimed in one sentence the dogs sometimes go out in the rain where he could have gotten an ear infection, and then took it back and said they never go out in the rain. 2- she also claimed my mother told them my dog gets chronic ear infections when picking up her dog who also stayed there. All she said was she heard my dog got an ear infection. 3- she said I left a note saying he got chronic ear infections. He hasn’t gotten an ear infection in a year and a half and I offered to show his vet history. I left notes asking not to wet his ears so he didn’t get an ear infection. No one called me or my emergency contact. What was the point of listing one?The owner didn’t want to do anything after I spent $700 on my dogs visit. They were completely negligent that my dog had an obvious ear infection. He suffered for who knows how long since I was gone for 10 days. I felt horrible for my dog!!I asked for them to cover my vet bill for the negligence and her response was no. The owner only called me back to tell me not to post negative feedback on this place to defame her reputation. She threatened me not to post negative feedback!! I would be wary of sending your animal there since they don’t pay attention to sick symptoms.

I did a great deal of research before deciding to board my girl at Woof & Tails. From the moment I walked in for the free interview the staff was warm and welcoming to both me and my dog. Belle was boarded there for 9 nights and seems to have had a great time. They have cameras in the play rooms so that you can log in and see your dog, plus they put some great pics on their FB page. We got Belle home and shes exhausted from all the activity there.Thanks again Woof & Tails! I loved knowing that Belle was in such great hands.

Love everyone at Woof & Tails Lodge. They are so friendly and my dog JJ loves them so much. He gets so excited when we pull up, he cant wait to get out of the car. I trust them with my dog and know he is in good hands when he is with them! Very professional and reliable business.

Called to ask about boarding. Woman advised that if my dog looks anything like a pitbull/staffy, theyre not welcome. When I inquired why, I was told we have breed restrictions and then was told to try PetSmart. What a nasty way to handle my call. Glad they dont accept pit mixes here, based off the bad reviews.

Absolutely horrific experience. I thought my dog was in good hands. We were leaving internationally for 10 days. 4 days into the vacation we got a phone call they were kicking my dog out. They said she has kennel cough which she obviously caught from there. We had to deal with this matter internationally racking up expensive phone calls and we were literally left in a lurch with no one to take care of our dog for the rest of our trip. If you want peace of mind for your dog while on vacation, DO NOT choose this place.

My dogs enjoyed being there. The camera app was not too good, but its not directly from woof and tails, but they contract with them. Remember to cancel your subscription for the camera or else you will be charged. The people are nice andd took care of my dogs. The four stars is because of the camera.

I was truly hopeful about this business as it seemed very clean from everything I could see and that there were a ton of other medium/large dogs there for my boxer to play with. Once I returned from a two day trip, I noticed she was covered in dirt/poop all over her neck and chest. I also noticed her to be coughing and sneezing (something she never had done before) It’s been one week and my girl is still sneezing and coughing constantly. I’m very disappointed in this facility and the negligence of its owner and staff. I won’t be trusting them again with the well being of my dog while I am away.

My dog Zues absolutely loves it here. The staff is amazing. I have boarded him here for 8 days and he was eager to get back there the following week. It is a great socialization experience for the dogs. Zues has made some amazing friends....both human(staff) and k-9. One of my babies have been going tgere for 6 yrs, then we got 2 more baby siblings. Now all 3 of our babies go there. I trust them 100% with our dogs. They treat them like their own.

Our dog Violet LOVES her days (and nights) at Woof & Tails Lodge. Its such a great feeling knowing she is in such good hands when we drop her off for the day while we run errands, or when she stays overnight when we are on vacation. So happy we found them. Violet gets to play with her canine friends and she comes home exhausted.

Woof and Tails Lodge is a fantastic place to socialize your dog. The staff is wonderful too and the premises are always sparkling! My dog started there as a very young puppy and loves it!

We highly recommend Wolf and Tails to anyone loves their furry babies. The place are cleaned and big for our babies. Staffs are very friendly and professional with dogs. ❤❤ This is the only place I would put my baby if its need a daycare or boarding 🤩. Wolf and Tails is best 👍👍

Called to cancel my reservation only giving me two business days to find another place for my dog to stay while my family and I are on vacation. Instead of caring about the customer and reaching out to other places to see if they can help they did nothing to help find another place in a short amount of time. I will no longer be supporting their business and I am extremely disappointed that this is how they treat customers.

Today I went in for my girl, Dixie, to have her interview. I wish I got the ladies names that helped me but they were pleasant nice and warm. Dixie was nervous and they saw this and the ladies were right there to make her feel loved and safe. I left her for the 3 hours and I watched via the camera while I was home. No complaints. And when I picked up my girl, she wanted to go right back in. She is going to be boarding there soon so we will see how it goes. But I dont have any bad vibes from this place.

The staff are terrific and take great care of your pets. We have been coming here for several years and have always been very happy with their attention to our dogs and the genuine caring everyone has for the dogs. Highly recommend them!

This place is amazing! It’s clean, the staff are friendly and the Rangers really love the dogs. You can watch your dog while you are away from them on camera. My dog LOVES this place and every time we drive in the area he barks to want to go! If you have a friendly dog/puppy that loves to play and you haven’t tried this place out...it’s a must!!!

They want the money but not the responsibility. Prior to leaving my dog for grooming, I was asked to sign a contract. The last section of the contract, essentially, read something like this wolf and tails lodge, its employees, or agents are not liable for loss, injury or death of your dog... Why would I want entrust my precious little dog to such a company. Basically, if you wish do business with this establishment, you do so at your own risk.

My dog Abbey was boarded for 5 days. Great staff and they took great care of Abbey. She loves it there especially at their day care. I feel good about boarding her there in the future. A great place. Thanks to everyone there.

Im not one to write reviews but for this i had too..... Terrible experience. They kicked my moms dog out for barking, I thought that is what dogs do??????? I still kept my dog there since there is limited choice on Staten Island and i can watch him on the video. However, one day i needed my mother to get my dog and the manager (older lady) wasnt so pleasant, as usual. And when they handed my mother my dog they dropped his leash on the floor and his whole collar came off.. he couldve ran out the door if someone else walked in. This place doesnt truly care about the dogs. I rather pay someone to walk my dog a couple times a day then to ever go back here! They also put my mothers dog in time out for hours, i have pictures to prove he was in a room alone for hours ! Terrible, never again

If I could give this place a zero I would. First off the owner is a liar and money hungry. Secondly I picked up my dog to extremely bad cough and ear ache. They told me it didnt happen here. She was there 6 days so where did it happen then ? They didnt even help her or call me. I have been meaning to write this review finally glad I did.

Our dog loves it there and we love how happy he is. Owned by a mother and daughter who are extremely loving, friendly and efficient. I cant say enough about how we love the place. Book in advance as they are pretty busty.

Love it so much my dog has always been safe going to them. He lives running around and this place has everything you need. Just wish the cameras in the faculty were aloof bit better. It’s like being on a web cam from the early 2000s

What a cold, indifferent experience I just had from calling. I called to ask about boarding. The woman rattled information off so quickly I couldnt even understand what she was saying. When I asked her to slow down, I was referred to their website. When I told her Id like to speak to a person to get information she took a bit of time to explain to me that she is a real live person. (REALLY? Wow. how informative. & there I was confused about that.) Then put me on hold & left me there for quite a while before I hung up. If their management or business skills speak at all to the care my dog will receive, Im running, not walking to an alternative. If thats the experience I receive in the first 5 minutes of contacting them, no way Id leave my best buddy there who cant even communicate to me the care hed get. Way too scared to use this facility after just the phone call.

Usually I dont write reviews but in this case I think its necessary for others to know how much this business cares about its clients . Although I saw few negative reviews for this place I decided to give it a try , since the usual place where I used to take my dog closed down so I had to find a new place .We went for the interview , place looked nice and clean , my dog seemed to like it so I left him there for a tryout.About 30 minutes later I received a phone call to go back and pick up my dog because while playing with another dog , the other dog got a bit rough and now my dog has 3 puncture wounds (they said its not bleeding) they think it should be checked out by my vet.Of course he was bleeding (not heavily but enough to get my pants and tshirt stained) and it was 4 deep and 1 superficial puncture wounds(given the depth more likely from nails).He had to have an X-ray ( the deepest puncture was on his chest) and he was put on antibiotics.While I understand that accidents happen it wouldve been nice and honestly the right thing to do from them to call and inquire about my dog or maybe offer to pay for the vet bill ($400+).

My dog loves Woof & Tails SI. The staff is amazing, attentive, friendly and my Cocoa gets very excited whenever she arrives for daycamp and overnight stays.

Very friendly and attentive to the dogs. A nice place to leave your pet, and not worry about them while you’re away. 20 minutes from the Newark airport.

This place has been great, we recently started bringing our 1 year old corgi here and he absolutely loves it. He always comes home happy,tired and thankful. They are very clean highly recommend.

I highly recommend for anyone in need of doggy daycare. I have a very shy and skiddish Cockapoo puppy and she always gets so excited once she realizes we’re at daycare. The staff are amazing with her and always get so excited to see her. Sometimes I’ll check on the camera while she’s there, and I’ll see that they’re in the area with my puppy just letting her sit on their lap. At least I know my puppy is safe and happy. Thank you!!

We boarded our fur baby river twice now.. I was completely at ease both times.. They are very strict with vaccines and make sure that each dog goes through an interview process to assure that all dogs are safe.. The price is very fair and the staff is caring.. My dog has come back twice fluffly and bathed.. I highly reccomend!

I literally will not leave my dog anywhere else while on vacation. I live two hours from W&T, sure I could find someplace closer but I wont find a place that treats my dog like they do (with genuine care and love).

I love bringing my dog Bowie to Woof & Tails it is the highlight of his week. It’s a win-win after his day at daycare Bowie is a happy dog and I get a tired dog.I

If your dog has not experienced Woof and Tails lodge then he or she must be suffering from FOMO. You have to visit.

Great place, saw some bad reviews and was a bit sceptacle but decided to give them a try. Very happy I did they took great care of princess while we were away on vacation and were very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

Our fur baby enjoys going to Woof and Tails. We have been using them for the last 6-7 years and they are so accommodating. Our dog always comes home happy, clean and always looks forward to her next visit. They take very good care of the animals and you get to peak in on them with their nanny cams.

Staff here is exceptional and caring. Our dog Tucker loves going there.

They make sure every dog they take in is up to date on their shots and they give your dog as much love as you do. I have a 1 year old golden retriever with a lot of energy that I take to daycare at Woof and Tails 6 days a week and he absolutely loves being there. The staff there loves my dog as well as all the other dogs and they’re very considerate, for instance.. my dog decided to roll in pee while he was playing and they gave him a bath before sending him home dirty. I can’t stress enough how happy I am to have found this place. And best of all, they have cameras accessible to all the owners to watch their dog throughout the day while they are there! Highly, highly recommended!!
