Island Pet Resort Pet Boarding, Grooming, and Day Care

I’ve boarded my dog here twice and both times she has done well. Her personality can be a bit picky and stubborn, but the staff was able to work with her and understand her personality in order give her the care and attention/ or space she needed. She has also been groomed here and that was good. I am satisfied with the service here. Thank you!

We had an amazing experience at Island Pet Resort. They accommodated my familys 5 doxies last minute. They administered medication, and gave them lots of playtime and love. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my dogs! We highly recommend and look forward to using them again!

Gross Negligence!My dog was seen at this facility on June 12th, 2022 to be dematted and groomed. It was at this time that she was severely cut by one of the groomers. Upon taking my dog to the Animal Hospital it was discovered that she was cut so deep that her muscle was exposed. My dog was required to undergo surgery where pieces of dead and infected muscle and skin were removed from the wound, further requiring 7 stitches to seal the wound after surgery. This resulted in a $1,200 Vet Bill AND both my boyfriend and I had to take the entire day off of work.I reached out to Island Pet Resort to request that they reimburse me for the vet bill and was immediately told no. Im so disappointed. Ive had great experiences boarding with them in the past but I no longer trust them to care for any of my animals.Mistakes happen but when they do happen its important to make it right and Island Pet Resort DID NOT do that.

Island pet resort is an amazing place.They boarded my furry baby from 10/7 to10/12 and they took care of my baby like their own. My furry baby is diabetic with dry eyes. She also has food allergies. They accommodated all her needs and provided her insulin shot, gave Yoko her eyes drops and followed her special diet. The owner and the staff were extremely friendly and dedicated to my baby . They provided me with pictures and updates of her almost every day She was so excited in all the pictures that showed me she was in good hands . Dawn and Tyrese were simply amazing . I really appreciated everything they did for her . I definitely recommend this place to everyone . Thanks Tawina & Yoko

Freya absolutely loves the facility and staff. She practically jumps out of the car when she realizes where we are Drop her on my way to work and she is absolutely exhausted when she gets home, which is exactly what we both need for her to get exercise and attention while Im not home. They are also accommodating when I have to work late and cant make it on time. Plus, its close to home and on my way to the Ferry.This is her within 15 minutes after getting home.

First time here and I was very impressed by the staff and facilities. I was shown the entire facility by the owner. Very clean and organized place. Great prices and took excellent care for my Siberian Husky Toby.He will be staying here again in 2 weeks.I made them give Toby a bath and good brushing and he looks great.I am glad I found Island Pet Resort ☺

My doggie, Chancho, is a 2yr old pit. He is big and sounds scary, but he’s our baby!! A lot of places won’t take our breed. The Island Pet Resort takes all kinds of breeds of dogs and other animals (there was a beautiful giant rabbit staying there when we dropped off!)When we went on a family vacation and had no one to watch Chancho, we left him at the Island Pet Resort. We were like first time parents dropping a child at school.. Jason was totally understanding. Picked up when we called every day of the week to check on our baby! He was honest when he would update me on how my dog got along with other dogs and how he acted on a leash (we knew!!) As crazy and hyper as my doggie can be, Jason and the staff there are so so good with dogs & knowledgeable! (Gave us some great training tips!) Chancho was clean and happy when we picked him up and had a great time there with his friends! Price was totally reasonable for a full week. Chancho will be back!

Very happy with this place !! Left my pitbull and beagle there for 5 days when I went on vacation. They were played with, and out all day. The guy that owns it is a pit lover and understands the breed. It’s a complete relief knowing they take all breeds! They also separate smaller dogs from the bigger dogs if that’s a concern for anyone. I also received daily updates and photos. I would definitely recommend and definitely use them again!!!

*Updated review: We brought Missy here several times and things were fine until the last couple of stays. One day we went to pick her up and she was never taken out of her harness and had chewed through it. The last time we were there, we went to pick her up and the person at the counter had no idea which dog was ours. He left the room and we were easily able to go and get her ourselves, which should never have happened.We brought our puppy for an overnight stay because we had a last minute trip come up. Everyone was so helpful and really caring. Missy had a great time and next time she needs daycare or boarding, it will be here. Thanks for taking such great care of our girl!

I absolutely love this place it is so clean organized and it smells good it does not have a pet or dog smell I bring my dog here and he loves it !!! The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. They are very caring and are animal lovers themselves. They accommodate our every need. Buddy is not really a buddy or the most friendliest dog Island pet resort make working with him look easy.Buddy goes to daycare 3 days a week. On the days he goes he comes home a whole new happy dog with his tail wagging and a smile on his face. Thank you so much Island Pet Resort and all your staff for accommodating Buddies every need. We had our year old lab mix spend the week here while we went away. It was our first time boarding a dog, as for the last 12 years we preferred to leave our pets with friends or neighbors - but with Our newest fur baby being so big and having puppy energy, we didnt have a choice. And are we glad we took her here! Jason and his team took such good care of her while we were away. She played with the other dogs and got to have her own vacation ☺️ Jason answered every morning when we called to check on her and updated us with what was going on- all of his descriptions perfectly matched her personality so we knew he was actually spending time getting to know her. Skye cant wait for our next trip so she can go back. And it was very affordable for 24/7 care. Thanks for being a place trust so we can go away with one less thing to worry about!

My dog stayed overnight when we had to go away. He was just a year old. The staff was great with him and he was happy and well cared for. They sent pics of him that night knowing I was nervous leaving him for the first time. Price was great. Other dogs were there and when we picked him up he was playing and having a ball! Thank you for taking such good care of my dog!

Excellent service and friendly staff. I brought my cat in for grooming and boarding for a week while I was on vacation, My cat has never looked better after the professional grooming service and they took really good care of her, keeping her well fed aswell as active. They kept her separated from the dogs and played with her several times a day in a playpen not just lock her in a cage for a week. Definitely will recommend this business to others and I will 100% be only returning to here for all grooming and boarding needs.

Excellent Service! We brought our dog in for a bath and nail clipping and the owner made sure he was comfortable. Our dog was initially scared because he thought he was going to the doctor but shortly after we saw him walk in with ease. Our dog even allowed them to clip his nails which is usually not the case. Best of all our dog came home looking and smelling great. I would highly recommend Island Pet Resort Services. We are even considering to try the Day Camp that is offered in the upcoming weeks.

I left Tokyo twice, while on vacation and the staff is great from Jason, Courtney and Lawrence are fabulous with the animals. I love that my Tokyo dont stay all day lock up in jis room. They are great at walking him and let him interact with other dogs. My favorite t is that when I call they give me update how he is doing and send me pictures so I can see him. Will continue to use island pet resort in the future. Thanks so much staff!

Surprised with a last minute getaway!?Look no further!! Me & my fav dude took a spontaneous 4 day weekend and booked Island Pet Resort, for boarding of our dog and our cat. Based solemnly on reviews and a tour I decided to leave my babies here. After a tour of the facility & expressing my concerns of being over protective pet mom, Jason and Tariff assured me my pets would be well taken care off. They accommodated a late pick due to a flight delay, and gave me all details of feedings and walks! They are pleasant to work and communicate with! Thank you Jason & Tariff for taking care of my babies!!

I absolutely love this place! I boarded my two dogs while I went on vacation and they treated and pampered my dogs like proper princesses. I have a shih-tzu named Juniper and a pomsky named Serenity, both got along with all the staff. They got to play with other dogs their size and photos were sent of how they were doing while I was away. Not to mention the interior is beautiful. Amazing establishment, we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Like everybody, I adopted a pet during lockdown and now that I was ready to take my first vacation I needed a place for my cat to stay. I felt pretty guilty disrupting his peaceful life and wanted peace of mind that hed be well looked after. I spoke with Jason a few times on the phone and he was very friendly and professional and answered all of my questions. When I dropped my cat off they showed me the cute and well secured little room hed be staying in, which was clean and well equipped with anything a cat would need.The next day I was still feeling guilt so I called to ask how he was doing and the girl I spoke to said he was doing great and that she was actually just playing with him and she even offered to send me a picture. I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation without worrying about my baby and my even though cat was very happy to see me when I came to pick him up, he didnt want to leave lol. The rate was $30/night which I feel is perfectly reasonable and that this will probably be my go-to spot when I go to future trips.

I called and spoke to a lovely girl named Zora and inquired about boarding my dog there. She said she had the dates I need available but I would first have to do a dog “meet and greet”. I happily made an apt for the meet, but was then told that my dates were no longer available and they couldn’t take my dog. I called back and spoke with an AWFUL gentleman who told me it was my fault I didn’t make an appointment sooner. He was extremely rude, unprofessional and I am glad I am not giving them my service. Oh, and he hung up on me! If that’s how he treats humans, how does he treat animals????!!!!!

Thank god for this place!! So glad I didn’t leave my babies at Pet Smart after reading their reviews. Jason called me back after I left a message regarding interest in boarding my two pomsky’s last minute. It was a blessing in disguise. Jason is professional & well educated. I’m so happy I found this place & left my dogs in good hands. Thank you Pet Resort.

My girlfriend and I took our dog, Kapri, to Island Pet Resort to be groomed. While grooming her, they cut her very badly. They told us the cut was not bad and it was only a surface cut. Kapri was there for five hours and they did not contact us to tell us they had cut her, we had called them asking how much longer it would be and that is when they told us about the cut. The veterinarian told us her cut was deep and that the muscle beneath it was exposed. So far they have done nothing to try and reconcile the situation after we had spent roughly $1200 for a mistake they made and were trying to cover up and come out of unscathed.

My dog Lucky has been coming here for a year now. He learned how to be even more friendly and patient. My husband and I feel relieved and secure when we leave our furry baby here. He is just very loved and spoiled. 100+% Recommend

Havent used the facility yet. But toured the facility with owner Jason. The place is immaculate and odor free. The overnight accommodations each have a TV and a fan. The animals that we saw were clearly happy and well cared for. Plan on using Island Pet Resort in the near future.

I left my dog at Island Pet Resort for 3 days.Very friendly staff. Beautiful place. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. My Charlie had a good time there. We will come again. Thank you!

We love Island Pet Resort! Everyone here is amazing and they treat our Louie T-bone as their own. It’s our go-to place for boarding, day care and grooming. They have gone above and beyond for usand we can’t say enough good things about the owners and the staff.

If youre looking for a caring and reasonably priced one-stop place for your vips(very important pets) this is it. All the staff will make sure your babies look forward to coming back. I always make sure I take care of the handlers when I pick up my baby.

Love this place and the care staff show to my dogs. The most importantly, my bulldogs get very excited every time I bring them for day care or boarding. Highly recommend!

The day before we were scheduled to drop our dog, we tried to stop by with the vaccine records and look at the place. The door was closed, no one was there, and they did not answer the phone or return my call.My wife and I had to scramble to find another boarding place. Had we not stopped by a day early we would have been without someone to watch our dog while we were away.This is not a reliable place, and I would not recommend anyone take their pet here.

Went away for 6 days and they took such wonderful care of my 12 year old beagle. She was so content I called everyday to see how she was and they sent me videos of her playing and pictures. I will definitely leave her there again.

Loved the stuff and how they care about animals. The best place for your pet to have a comfortable stay while you are away or to get groomed, or just to play with the other dogs for a few hours. Highly recommend

My 8 y/o french bulldog Pup can be moody and doesnt always get along with strangers or other males but he has always been comfortable at Island Pet resort.. he is happy when he goes there AND when he comes home... always clean ... and he loves it when he see thats where he is going... affordable, and profession caring staff

Tusia Is my cat who went to Island Pet Resort for a grooming and a haircut.The Evniorment was clean and beautiful. I was able to watch the entire grooming process on their big 50” television. The groomer and staff were very gentle and knowledgeable.They had great communication when bathing Tusia. My cat did not seem stressed or frightented they gave her a beautiful hair cut with nail trim and ear cleaning. They gave her a full body temple and paw massage. She looked Stunning and Smelled great. Tusia was refreshed and relaxed . Thank you Island Pet Resort for pampering her with lots of love and affection. Forever your clients

I’ve boarded my cat multiple times over the past two years or so. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

NEVER AGAIN EVER!!! At first i left and my dog seemed fine. His hair cut was extremely choppy but i didnt bother saying anything. Everything was uneven and his face was all different lengths and he looked terrible. THEY TOTALLY SHAVED HIS TAIL SUPER SHORT THAT IT LOOKS LIKE A RAT TAIL NOW. Upon arriving home and taking a closer look my dog had cuts all over him espically under his arms. Then i noticed blood on the floor. All over the floor. I looked at his nails and he was bleeding very badly. TheY cut his nails too short and made him bleed and i know he cried when that happened and they said nothing to me. They are supposed to Be peofessional with handling the pets and be calm and easy and caring with the dogs. I felt so guilty that i took him to a new place. Its very over priced. It cost 80 just for a short shave and nails. They didnt shape his face or anything. The place is clean and nice looking but thats not enough if your going to abuse my dog. When i told them about this and showed them pictures FOR PROOF they did absolutly nothing!!!!. They tried to justify why he was all cut up and bleeding. I WOULD NEVER EVER GO HERE AGAIN. MY DOG DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE ABUSED. IF I CAN PUT ZERO STARS I WOULD I WAS SO MAD AND STILL AM. MY POOR DOGGIE.

The dog loves going to Island Pet Resort. He suffers from separation anxiety but at I Pet Resort he feels safe. The staff cares for him as his own. I definitely recommend Island Pet Resort.

Patrons beware there is some nasty people that work here with that being said if there nasty to other people how do you think they would treat your pet. Your crazy if you leave your animals with these low lifes

The animals all seemed so happy there and they had little tvs on for the dogs!!!

The management is very rude and treats the dogs terribly. I witnessed her dragging a dog down the street and yelling. Additionally, one of the woman was smoking while walking the dogs. Don’t leave your dogs here. She also overtalks you and doesn’t let you get a word in.

Island pet resort treats your dog like their own. I started using them since August to board my dog from 1 night to 3 nights. They are very clean and highly recommend this place.

King always has an amazing time at Island pet resort. The groomer is amazing & she genuinely cared about king and his needs! Tyrese and all staff are friendly and keep you updated with phones and pictures of your fur baby! David is great as well and understanding! I never had a bad experience and I trust them!P.s THEY ALSO HAVE CAMERAS SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT YOUR FUR BABY IS DOING THROUGHOUT THE DAY❤️ what more can you ask for 😁
