I called over the phone asking three questions “how much will it cost to get my dog hair cut”which they told me 40. The seconds question was “is there anything I need to do prior to the appointment?” she no all we need is proof of rabies I said ok. The other question I asked will the price be the same when I get there they said yes I said ok once I came to pick my dog up I had wait to get him because the lady was on the phone. Then prior to me leaving to get his hair cut I showed the groomer how I wanted his hair cut via photo she did not follow the instructions I gave her. So she had to take him back to trim his face down. Then when I got there to pay the total was 65.25 which was $25.25 more then the original price I was told about. Respectfully I will not be going back ever again. Due them not doing their jobs properly. Failing to give details about what price exactly entails prior to the appointment or an estimate and then not doing what I asked them to do the first time I asked. Very unprofessional.In the future when getting new clients please make sure you tell them what your services entails if the price is subject to change outside or what you already told them because God for bid they didn’t have to funds to pay for the service. That would your fault because you failed to inform them. If your washing their pet be sure to list the products your using to wash them because some dogs skin are sensitive to certain products and chemicals.

Great place if youre looking for a dog day care. The employees are very friendly and helpful. definitely would recommend if your looking for a place for your pup to play while your busy

I brought my well behaved six year old dog to the Harlem Road location. She was so well behaved they at times put her into the small dog area. She is 70lbs. She kept coming home wet. I asked why and they said they have sprinklers and hoses during the summer. Even in October she was coming home wet. I explained she is very scared of water. One day at pick up I observed the staff spraying the dogs jumping on the fence with a water bottle in their faces. Their eyes,nose and mouth. I immediately called management. They said this is a common practice to control dogs behavior. They were not at all alarmed that this was happening. Needless to say I pulled her out immediately.

We have been bringing one of our dogs to both the Amherst and Harlem locations for close to 2 years, and our second dog for close to 6 months. I cannot say enough good things, the employees are so kind, attentive, and well educated on animals. The prices are very responsible and honestly worth what ever they’d charge for the peace of mind knowing how well my pets are being taken care of. We’ve also done overnight pet setting with several of the employees, and it’s been great. It’s so nice knowing that our dogs are staying with someone they love and recognize from “school”.

We just finished Basic Obedience training for our new puppy at Dog Days and were very impressed! Janelle is a pro and makes the classes fun, enjoyable, and manageable. She manages the group of (sometimes unruly) dogs and parents extremely well. We also send our dog to day care here - we love it and so does our dog!

My dog has done two trainings with Dog Days, one at the Amherst location and one on Harlem. The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and adaptable to your dogs needs and skill set.We have the dog groomed at Dog Days and he attends day care there. The Dog Days team members are amazing with him and always thrilled to see him.Weve been with Dog Days for almost 3 years and highly recommend them.

I can not praise Dog Days enough! My girl is always so happy to go there and we have never had an issue. Staff is always excited to see her and are friendly towards the humans as well.Due to the pandemic I had to get my dog groomed elsewhere and is was the biggest mistake! She became violently ill, which has NEVER happened at Dog Days. They take good care of our fur babies and pride in their work. I feel safe and do not worry when she is at day care or with the groomers. They even helped Georgia celebrate her 1st birthday. Thank you Dog Days!!!

My dog, Turtle, has never been more happy in her almost 5 years, and neither have I, than when she goes to see her friends at Dog Days of Buffalo! She sleeps like a baby from the time she leaves until the next morning when she and jumps up the minute I say its time to go to school and see her friends. She even has learned that guys arent bad thanks to Alexa and Turtle Dogs new friend Coy! We drive an hour and a half to come here every day for the full day and its more than worth it! She even gets a bit mopey when we dont go to school. Thank you both Alexas, Coy, Erica, and every single person and doggy friend that makes that place absolutely amazing

Wonderful staff who truly care about and love the company of your pet! The daycare staff say they love the dogs as if they were their own. Get ready to pick up a happy and very exhausted pup!

Good morning, yesterday I asked Aviance of Dogs Days of Buffalo to do the impossible, give my long haired German Shepherd Gretta a complete makeover. Gretta suffers from severe anxiety when she’s not with me or other family members and Aviance accepted this challenge without hesitation and accomplished the impossible. Gretta was very matted due to a botched bath attempt by myself this past Saturday. Knowing and loving Gretta like I do there is NO WAY this was an easy task but Aviance did it and I could not be any happier. When I picked Gretta up I had tears in my eyes she was stunningly beautiful again. Thank you Aviance you are AMAZING!!!! See you soon!!!

I rescued a dog from El Paso, Tx. last spring who has anxiety issues and an abundance of energy. l started taking him to Dog Days of Buffalo for daycare in July of 2022, 2 to 3 days a week. He loves going he can’t wait to get there he loves the very friendly, knowledgeable staff who watch over ever dog like they are their own, l never worry about him when he is there and the cost is reasonable. I also took him to training classes at Dog Days of Buffalo and couldn’t believe how well he did, he was almost like a new dog thanks to the trainers. Also he is groomed there it is an all round awesome doggy daycare who could ask for more.

My 9 month old puppy, Stormy, loves this daycare and looks forward to coming!The price for the daycare packages VS. the daily rate are reasonable for all day of play. So, you are better off getting the package if you plan on bringing your dog in more than a couple times a month. Only thing is , I wish they included an over six months price with the packages bc you get charged daily ( a small fee) for lunch that is fed to your dog if they over six months.I’ve used grooming services, Stevie is amazing and the only person that can seem to work with my crazy pup to get her all trimmed up and clean.The staff is freaking amazing, kind and patient with all the dogs and you can absolutely tell they love their job ! They go above and beyond to answer questions and are great with communication. I always get a call back if I leave a message.I’m using boarding services this upcoming spring and I have no worries so far about it bc all the staff have been wonderful!Keep up the good work!

Dog days is a great place to allow your dog to blow off some energy! Friendly staff and always accommodating. They have dog beds when it’s nap time, however they don’t use crates if you are expecting crate training that is not offered here. Otherwise great!

The staff are great with the dogs. My dog had her first day last week and she came home happy and tired. The staff was friendly and worked with her to make her comfortable on her first day. The facility is clean and well maintained.

I have brought my dog to Dog Days for many years and she has always been treated amazing there. Until her last grooming experience made me never want to go back ever again. I brought my dog home from her appointment and noticed she was bleeding a lot from her back paw and could not put weight on it. I called the shop, the girl at the front desk said the groomer did not even notice that she had hurt my dog, the groomer could not even come to the phone to apologize herself. I do not feel comfortable ever taking my dog or any pet of mine to this business again.

We took our dog here to be groomed 4 times. After the last two visits, we had to took our dog to the vet three times and to another groomer due to matting inside her ears. We were told they only clean the ears and pluck on request. I asked why they did not share that her ears were matted when they cleaned them, as we would have upgraded, but there was not a clear response. This led to an ear infection, our dog being sedated and over $500 to treat it. Both the vet and new groomer cited this as lack of training. After a conversation that went in circles with no accountability from the business, we told that we would be be refunded $8 for the cost of one ear plucking, which never happened.

**updated review **Just had my dog groomed here and it was less than satisfactory for the amount we paid. 70$ for an uneven trim that just looks ridiculous.My review was previously 5 stars but with handy work like this, I cant keep it that high..____________My rating is just for the Wednesday evening puppy socialization, which is fantastic for all pups that are 6 months and younger.The staff is really friendly and manage to remember all the puppies names! Kudos.If the puppies get a little too rough the staff are there to break them up and they also help to introduce the pups that are a little more shy.The first time we went my dog was overwhelmed which is quite common and stood at my feet the entire hour- but she opened up the 2nd and 3rd time. I dont know the guys name but he was picking up puppies and bringing them to other puppies to interact with.It was almost like an eye-opening experience because Ive seen my dog interact with many other dogs but this is a whole new world! + they have an indoor space and outdoor space for the dogs to play and run around ~I plan to bring my puppy here for the next couple months as it is a really great opportunity for them to be introduced to a lot of puppies at once and for the humans to meet a lot of pretty cool people!They also arent pushy with their paid services although after meeting the staff its definitely something most people seem to be interested in!* Even though the hours say they close at 6, they are open for puppy social hour :)* Be sure that you wear shoes that you dont mind getting dirty or wet as the ground is often wet and the puppies will step on your feet!

I recently took my dog to get groomed last week. This was my first and last time I will ever bring my dog to this place. When I dropped my dog off I was told it would be about an hour and a half appointment, I came back in and they said they weren’t done yet. It took a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes for my 10 lb. dog. My dog looked great! Was very impressed. Took pics tagged Dog Days of Buffalo in Instagram. When I got home I noticed the dog licking his private area and whining. I noticed that he had been cut, and it was bleeding! (You can see the clipper line through his private area). I took the dog to the vet and then went back to the site and they told me to speak to owner on Tuesday. I am a paying customer for puppy classes as well. I was accused of trying to get free stuff. I did get a refund for the botched job, but I have a sad and uncomfortable puppy. I was then also accused of trying to get something for free! I would’ve appreciated a genuine apology and some understanding rather than what I got!

So far so good with Dog Days. I take my puppy Pepper to dog days once a or twice a month, since its winter. Once its warmer out, Ill take her there more. But so far I had no issues. And no bad reports about my puppy. She loves to play so I will bring her more.

I dont take my dog to daycare here because its too far away but I did take him in for grooming and he looks amazing! Carly did a wonderful job!! So happy with her work. Really good at her job! Ill be returning here again for grooming (:

We love it here! We live about 25 minutes away from Dog Days but we still bring our dog here for grooming, training, and the occasional daycare! Chelsea at the front desk is always so sweet and greets Ellie by name when we walk in. She always makes sure Ellie is well taken care of and gets the best care! She has even gotten back to me and helped me schedule grooming appointments after work hours. We also love Kailee, our groomer. We always schedule with her because I know she treats Ellie like her own! I have a very anxious dog and both Chelsea and Kailee put my mind at ease when I drop off my dog because I know they are genuinely good people and would never let anything happen to my dog! Highly recommend.

Nice staff, they know my dog by name and they know who I am as well. We see groomer Andrea and are always extremely happy with her work. Hes seen another groomer when she was unavailable and the work was just fine but we like Andreas style better. He also goes to daycare and they have large screen TVs in the lobby so you can actually see the dogs in the play area which is comforting. He always seems to have a great time and Ive caught the babysitters holding him in their arms on the TV screens when walking in to pick him up so I know they are posting attention to him and giving him love. All of the staff are nice and friendly, they are good people to trust your furbaby with.

Love Dog Days! We started going for the free puppy parties on Wednesdays and have since taken 2 classes, take our pup to daycare here, grooming and have even tried their pet sitting service! He loves going and so do we! The staff is amazing and truly love animals!Everyone is fantastic and know our dog by name. The only complaint is that my dog doesnt want to come home!

Ive been taking my puppy to the Wednesday evening puppy parties they hold here, free of charge. Its a great experience and he is really starting to come out of his shell! Thank you, Dog Days, for providing this. The staff here is always friendly. I havent used their daycare services but would use them when needed.

I am a newer client to Dog Days of Buffalo. I researched dog daycares in the area and visited a few of them prior to making the best decision I could have made for my boy. He had never been left alone before and a recent career change, meaning I would no longer be able to work from home, and move meant that would most likely be in his future. It took him a little while to adjust to being at daycare but all of the staff helped to ease his nervousness and anxiety. Now, even though he is happy to see me at pick up, he couldnt care less about mom at drop off. He loves all of the attendants and all the staff knows him by name, even by his nickname! He is always so excited to see them and is sure to give the girls up front lots of kisses before rushing back to see which of his friends are there that day. When it came time to go out of town for vacation I didnt have to think twice about having dog days pet sitters take care of my boy. He stayed in one of the pet sitters home and she even sent me pictures of London having a blast with her dog and making himself right at home. It was such a peace of mind to have someone that wouldnt think I was that crazy dog mom, which I am, but instead understood exactly how concerned I was as he had never been away from me for that long of time frame before. All of the employees there have always made us feel extremely welcomed and have always been very pleasant to talk to. They really know my dog and even know when hes not really acting like himself. Its a wonderful feeling to know that he is with people that know his behavior that well when I am not able to be with him while working or away for a vacation. It really is one of the best decisions I ever made for my dog and I will recommend them to anyone looking training, daycare, grooming or pet sitting!

Highly recommend Dog Days. Another daycare told me my 2 dogs weren’t a fit for daycare. They love going to Dog Days. My puppy puts hims to bed right after getting home.

I’ve taken my dogs here since 2015 when I only had one. My lab mix did puppy kindergarten and advanced obedience here. Both classes provided a great foundation for her training and she’s now very well behaved, quiet, and listens to commands even when distracted.Daycare wise, I recommend Dog Days to all my friends. They don’t discriminate when it comes to breeds and understand that certain dogs play rough naturally. My lab mix hangs out in the large dog side, running around and dipping in the pool all day. My cocker spaniel mix chills on the small dog side that’s a bit more mellow. Both dogs are always exhausted and happy when I pick them up, and snooze all night after eating dinner.If you’ve ever felt pushed out of a dog daycare, or are hesitant to try one because your dog is high-energy, this is the daycare for you.

I have been taking Paws here for about a year now. She loves it there. The staff is wonderful and awesome. They do a great job grooming and trimming her nails to. I tell everyone thats the best thing for a dog is daycare she comes home so tired from playing with her friends. I would recommend dogdays to anybody

We brought our 6 month old puppy from out of town to doggy day care for a couple of days. We were nervous to bring him as we were not familiar with the area and he had not been to day care yet, but the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our dog had such a fun time and was well taken care of. We wish we had this place back home!

My dog loves daycare! As soon as we get out of the car he tries to rip my arm off running inside to play with his friends! Its been really hot and humid this summer and I love that they have hoses and pools. He always comes back pooped out and ready to chill for the rest of the day. The pricing is also very affordable.

I dont feel comfortable at classes since my puppy has a lot of energy and we have to be out in the little hallway from the room. While the other dogs and owners stay inside I just feel my puppy is excluded from the class. I did asked if he could get changed to private since he is just not paying attention and trainer said it was ok for my puppy to stay in the hallway till he can finally get used to it and then little by little he can be incorporated to the group. Its going to be only 6 classes. First day I went outside the room with my puppy and it was just a waste of my time, not able to listen to what the trainer was saying for more than half an hour and the class its only for an hour. I already paid for it and I dont want to be outside all of the time. Its not like my puppy is superhyper or barking non stop he sits down and he just wants to play with the other dogs plus he already knows most of the basic commands. The hallway its not clean while the room is clean.UPDATE: STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND AND I HAVE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES.UPDATE: I RECEIVED REFUND FOR THE LAST 2 CLASSES.

On Friday, July 20, 2018, an 82 year old friend who has been a faithful customer for years, arrived to pick up her groomed dog. After a 30 minute wait, her dog came out, without his collar/leash (which included his City tag and his Rabies tag). A male attendant handed her a loop leash and said that they didnt know where her own was. Saturday, he called her and said that he got a call from a customer who realized he got the wrong collar/leash, and that he would retrieve it and deliver to her. He did not, nor did he call my friend. Sunday came and went without a call or a return of the collar/leash. Meantime, as we walked our dogs, she was nearly pulled over by her dog, who, while small, is stronger than a 100 pound fragile woman. Not to mention that she was scared to be out in public without her City and rabies tag. Monday, July 23, after calls from myself and another neighbor, suddenly the missing collar/leash was available for pickup. My neighbor picked it up and delivered to our friend, who had been so upset that she skipped church yesterday, waiting for a call from Dog Days. Needless to say, none of us is ever going to return there. There was no apology, and no effort to communicate the status of the missing collar/leash for 4 days. Absolutely not acceptable unprofessional and most of all, unkind.

Great experience our first time there today. Our yellow lab Henrietta felt so clean and smelled like a new car. And she had a cute little yellow bumblebee bandanna. Super friendly staff, too. We will definitely be back!

Our first time bringing our 16 month old Rottie to them. He was a little scared and shy. They where wonderful with him. It took them 2hours and multiple failed attempts to cut his nails.... but they couldnt. They didnt want to stress him out so they stopped. Which I can appreciate. They TRULY DO CARE FOR THE ANIMAL!!!! They where able to bath and brush him and he looks AMAZING! when we picked him up he was Happy! We no they treated him Good!!!!! They also took the time to give us some well needed advice for touching his paws! They ARE AMAZING! THESE GUYS AND GALS REALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL!

Kailee the groomer is absolutely amazing! She always takes such good care of my cats! I foster kittens so she’s always willing to take them on as well. I can tell they’re always very happy to see her. Cats can be very difficult but she always handles them with care. I know my cats are always in great hands with her. Can’t say enough good things!

Clean; knowledgeable staff; wonderful experiences! We bring our puppy to the puppy parties every week and we also did the puppy kindergarten classes. The puppy parties (which are FREE) did wonders for our once shy, overwhelmed little pup. Socialization is one of the most important elements of raising a puppy, and its nice to have a safe, clean environment in which to do that. You have to bring proof of vaccinations - the first week we forgot and they wouldnt let us bring him in. This didnt upset me at all - instead it made me certain that when we brought him we wouldnt be putting him at risk, which is more than what I can say about the dog parks in the area. I was a little disappointed that the groomers dont strip coats, but there dont seem to be many places in this area that do (we found a great one though). Overall, I love coming here and appreciate all the advice and tips that Victoria is happy to share. Bring your puppy!

Updated: the training manager called me and we got the dog into basic training. The basic training experience was very good. We will be going back for advanced training! Will be looking for consistent quality in future services.It seems great, if you can ever get them to call you back... Over the past months Ive left multiple messages with the head trainer on her cell and on the desk phone when they dont answer their phone during business hours, all regarding training, and have never received a call back. Im not going to beg them to take my business so Ill be looking elsewhere.Have been there a few times for grooming services, which seem fine.

Our dog LOVED going to daycare at Dog Days! We were so bummed when we moved out of the area. Super friendly staff, reasonably priced, and our dog would come home totally exhausted! Highly recommend!

Kailee grooms both of my puppuccino’s and always does an amazing job! Both of my dogs love her, and they always leave looking exactly how I ask them to be cut... and I change their style a lot. Very happy customer! Very pleased every time :)

Ive been taking my Rottie here since he was 8 weeks old, he loves going to daycare and loved the puppy parties when I took him. The facility is always clean and its a great size. Staff is always friendly and get to know their customers. Some daycares that Ive taken my dog to, when I get him back hes dirty, I never get this problem here. Only downside of this place is the street parking. I would suggest this place to anyone!

As we always travel with our dog, we need someplace for her to stay while we go sightseeing. Im so glad that we found Dog Days. Everyone couldnt have been nicer. We know Twinkle had a great time as the second day she ran up the steps to the door and was crying to get in. Great place and great workers.

Ive gone a couple of times with my friend to drop off/pick up her grand pup. The staff is friendly, its clean, and Sydney loves seeing her dog friends!

I took my dog here for their free Puppy Party when she was little. Take her for Grooming now. Great place, centrally located. Its a little congested for pick up and drop off since its so close to the enteance/exits to Wegmans, but we make due.

The owners of this place are only interested in your $$$. Your pets mean nothing to them except of course being another animal to charge for. They WAY over charge for grooming. I was charged $80 for a groom and my dog was still wet when i picked him up. Very unhappy with this place.

So we have called and missed appts due to personal/ health reasons, so fast forward made new appts for the first of July , received a phone call from a clerk, who stated who need to make these appts because we have failed so many times , if we do not show this time they will impose a $25 charge per dog, that is fine. My problem is I do not appreciate being talked to like a 5 yr old. That is unacceptable to speak to people like that over the phone, or in person.

Mowgli loves coming here to play with the other dogs for the day. We have great experiences when we get someone from dog days to stay with our dog for the weekend as well. Definitely recommend them.

Filled out the pre-registration form online for daycare and faxed over all requested records a couple days later. A week and a half went by and I heard nothing. I called and left a message and never got a call back. Have heard wonderful things about this place but unfortunately they were unresponsive so we went elsewhere.

Life Savers! Due to a last minute emergency, we needed someone to dog sit for us from Christmas Eve the the 26th (we realized we had the problem on Christmas Eve). Thank goodness for Dog Days and Laura who did an outstanding job of helping us out in a pinch, texting pics, communicating throughout the entire time. I cant say enough good things about the service and their willingness to help! Thank you Laura too for saving us!!!

I love this place! I started bringing my two young dogs there a couple months ago for daycare. They are both kind of shy with new people and environments. They only go 3-4 times a month and yet they are both greeted by name when we walk in the door. I love that! That shows me that the staff take the time to get to know the dogs. The girls both love it there. You can watch them on the camera from the front reception area and you can see how much fun they have there. I would highly recommend.

My Westie puppy has a lot of sensory overload issues and gets very anxious. Dog Days has always been so patient, understanding, and kind. They have never turned her away or spoken badly. We finally tried to get a groom done and Katie was awesome! Ivy came out looking and smelling great. Katie was very knowledgeable, and I’m so glad she was able to work with Ivy’s challenges. We have done puppy kindergarten as well as daycare and have always been happy with their services. Thank you, Dog Days!!

I adopted a rescue pit-mix in March of this year. Hes a ball of love but is very high energy and needs a place to play and run around. Dog days on Amherst street has been amazing! Theyre so good to him and are helping train him to not jump on dogs/people while at daycare. In particular- Alexus has been fantastic! Shes developed a great bond with my dog (through daycare and a couple overnights when I had to go out of town) and she truly cares about him and helps in any way she can. Any time I drop him off at daycare I feel so at ease knowing hes having a great time, with people who are naturals with animals and will care of them the way they deserve. Thank you dog days and Alexus! Dont know what wed do without you guys :)

Friendly staff. My dog Roosevelt gets regular grooming and goes to day care. We love his groomer although I wasnt overly impressed on the one time she was unavailable and he had to see a different groomer. He always seems happy when I pick him up and everyone is very friendly. Ive even been able to observe day care staff holding him and carrying him around the play area (yes hes much too spoiled) over the video feed as I wait to pick him up.

People are great there...they definitely love your dog as much as you do. Took my boy to get groomed and he came out happy and looked awesome!!

My dog Tage goes there weekly. It is his favorite place to go! The staff is always very friendly and attentive to the dogs. The manager Chelsea is always a pleasure to deal with and very passionate to not only my dog but all of the dogs that use the facility!

Going to school a few times a week is the highlight of Bentleys week! He could be asleep, and if you say, do you wanna go see your friends, he jumps up so fast and runs to the door. Then upon arriving to the daycare, if anyone is in the lobby he will bark as to say good morning, I’m here lol. After he gets home he is exhausted and sleeps quite a bit and the next day too. Lol. (As you can see from the picture)The staff are absolutely wonderful! They are so friendly and personable and Bentley loves them!It’s also nice because they have a service if we go out of town they will keep him while we are away. It’s so convenient!
