Willowbrook Park

Love this park! I come here with my dog whenever we have free time. The trail is much nicer now that they added rocks, you’re not walking in mud anymore. The field is huge to run, play ball, or just sit and relax. This park offers something for everyone of all ages, fishing, playground, picnic areas, and much more.

A wonderful place to relax, either with children or by yourself. The park also has a playground and a carousel for children. There is a recreation area with tables and a barbecue. There is also a great opportunity to walk around a small lake with ducks and enjoy the fresh air🥰🤩

This park is one of my favorite places to visit. I love watching the birds fly and the ducks swim, the turtles soaking up the sun, and the nature doing its thing. My favorite time here is spring and autumn 🍂 I would recommend this park to anyone who has never been! 😊

Beautiful city park with ample parking, carousel and archery range. There is a paved trail around the pond and hiking trail connecting Willowbrook Park with Greenbelt nature center trails. I have hiked white trail to Forest Hills Rd and back to the parking lot. The trail is quite muddy in mid-winter. Corson’s family chimney ruin was most memorable detail of the hike.

Ive been to a lot of parks in Staten island 🏝️ but this one has a big pond.🌅 First time Ive been here with a group of people and just walked around the park for almost 30 minutes. It was pretty nice at first but then my shoes 👟 was ill-equipped for rocks on the ground. It was 10:00 in the morning and not much was opened. but I bet in the summer 🌞 youre going to have a pretty nice time there. I see a little bit of kids and not a lot of dogs but my experience was pretty interesting 😁. I didnt see a bathroom there but when I come back, I might want to ask people who work there. 👍🙂

Great Park.. Loved the ducks. The park has only public ARCHERY area in New York city. Its really fun. You can also see dear on grazing on the forest. Beautiful place to visit with your family..

A great nyc public park that’s quite serene and very good to bring families to walk or bike around the lake, plenty of wild life there’s a snowy egret there and plenty of ducks and birds. Fishing I also see. Enjoy!

A large park adjacent to CSI campus. If you love the outdoors , there are multiple activities from archery , bbq area , a seasonal kiddie carousel that runs from May-October. Also 4 softball fields as well . Parking lot by fields is rough and bumpy but overall a nice park complete with benches and restrooms.

Brought my dog here for the first time today. We had a lot of fun! The park is beautiful and has a path that circles the lake. There are spots for picnics and fields for recreation. I cant wait to visit again.

I’m giving it a one star because it’s not handicap friendly. I have a mobility scooter and trying to get around. There was impossible most the time I had a ride on the road. There are no ramps for me to go up. I had to basically get off my scooter lift the front of it up just to get onto where I had to go. I’m very unhappy, but how this park is a really decent park but not for people with disabilities it was very hard for me to get around and I did get. It was hard for me because they have a bunch of rocks around the picnic area, where I can’t even navigate my scooter and a bunch of tree roots so this is why I’m giving this review they need to improve in mobility people

Such a nice place to enjoy the weather and nature! Took our new puppy here on his very first walk & he loved it also! So much wildlife to see ! Saw multiple turtles, Canadian geese, ducks, fish, and an array of beautiful different species of birds. Has a nice path to walk on and the archery range is a hidden gem! Bathrooms are clean which is important. Nice area to have BBQs and enjoy time with friends and family! I believe its a hidden gem all around

I like to come out here to look at the sun as its going down from the woods. Just watch out for the karens that think they own the woods.Its like a person cant sit out here. Just to relax in the forest without them Stopping and looking at you like you dont belong there. what they dont like Latinos in the woods..

It really is a pretty park, nice to walk, bike rode, skateboard etcIt lost a star just because there is lots of geese poop lol so getting in the car is a bit gross

Beautiful place to walk or sit and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Turtles and many species of bird reside here. We saw cranes, cormorants, red winged black birds, geese, and mallards. Pack a lunch and find a bench!

Great park in Staten Island. Nature is beautiful here. Carousel in the spring and summer is great.

Many trails to follow, this is a great place to commune with nature. The woods are wonderful, With the influx of wildlife (deer) its sometimes hard to believe it is actually part of NYC. While the free maps are not the greatest, new signage and trail markers make it easy to find your way through. Four season availability make these trails a great year round respite and source of exercise, that was a very awesome 15 miles hike!

Brought my grandsons there to rude the carousel,and explore the park. Loved Pauls energetic greeting as we approached the ticket booth. Everyone was so upbeat,made the rude lots of fun.

This is a review on fishing only!! The lake has lots of fish but its impossible to catch anything since the fish have been caught so much. There are no vegetation like lily pads so theres a bit of a disadvantage. There is lots of weeds and trees so thats good hiding spots for fish. My experience, I through on a piece of corn as bait and threw it into a group of carp during feeding hour. Not one hooked up. It might be my fault but fish usually go crazy for corn. Find a different pond/lake if you want to catch anything. Other then that, good luck👍

One of those lovely gems of Staten Island . A beautiful area for a nice stroll parking is available playground is available as well as the barbeque area. Enjoy it

This park has a carousel. :) It’s a small park at Staten Island, we loved the place we had picnic and definitely will go back there often. It’s good for kids and adults very clean and safe.. there are also parking spaces close to the seating area. Very nice organized.

Very nice Park with Picnic tables, small playground, a Very nice Carousel 🎠 that opens at 11 am on the weekends with a 3 dollar fee, parent rides for free ! Nice Pond with fishing aloud ! Walking paths are shaded & paved ! Archery field, Base ball fields & rest rooms next to pond ! Enjoy !

Nice park. With an outdated small playground and a nice lake. The BBQ area is ok with few tables and benches... Good for picnics and BBQ. Kids may not like the playground.

Grabbed a bite before a show,have to say food was delicious we had the pizza,eggplant parm hero and shrimp parm hero all cooked fresh and served steaming hot.very friendly and accommodating staff.only down side very small inside but Great food.

The park has a nice walking track,beautiful lake having ducks,Canadian geese, barbeque area and a Carousel. I went my with my wife and felt staying in the park is very pleasant. The restrooms are neat and clean. A very wonderful place to love nature with family and kids.The place has a good playground.

Loved the space for grills and benches. Kids loved the carousel and the bathroom was clean and nearby. Staff came around for garbage frequently. Did not love the uncut grass and the bugs that lurked in it.

Great place to run a trail race!

Free parking is available close to the beach. Its a nice beach and there is a nice trail along the coast. The only catch is its mostly empty. It might because we visited early March and on a weekday. However, if you want quality time with yourself in serene environment, this is definitely a place you would like.

Really nice park. I bring my son here to enjoy the pond, playground and carousel. Its fun to feed the ducks and geese.

Whenever I feel I need to relax and organize my thoughts, this is the place that always comes to my mind. Willowbrook park is love, green and spacious. If you come in the morning you can enjoy listening to birds while you are having a nice walk around the amazing pond. Hands down one of the best parks I have been into..

This is a nice park for a day out with the kids or for a leisurely walk alone. There is a trail around a small lake. Only 1/2 the trail is paved and in the open while the other 1/2 is a combination of dirt & gravel and travels through a wooded area. This wooded trail is part of the larger greenbelt white trail. Both paths provide lake views. There are many ducks and geese here so be careful with little kids not in strollers as they are not afraid of people but can still get aggressive sometimes. In the nicer weather, you may also see people fishing (catch & release only).In addition, this park also has a refurbished antique carousel that is beautiful, with many hand painted animals and scenes depicting Staten Island.There is a playground adjacent to a picnic area with tables and charcoal grills, an archery field, and a dog run. Also, baseball fields (behind the lake).This park is easily accessible from Richmond Ave and/or Victory Blvd.Overall, a great city park whereas once you get inside, you can escape and easily forget that you are in the middle of one of the most congested areas of Staten Island.

This is such a beautiful park. I love the water side, seeing people fishing as I take a stroll with my children is so relaxing not to mention the view of ducks. Its always a plus to have an open bathroom. I do wish that they could add just a little more to the park activities such as a swing or monkey bar.

My favorite family park. The carousel is affordable. Lots of space to run the kids out of energy. The lake has lots of wildlife. Turtles, fish, ducks, geese, etc. The geese are aggressive. Walking around the pond is a lot of fun. There are some woods with trails. Its a lot of fun.

What a beautiful park. Been coming here for 30 years. Grew up playing baseball and soccer as a kid. Then started fishing as I got older. I enjoy all that nature has to offer while taking my daily walks through the park. The Merry-go-Round was a nice enhancement to the park. It’s fun for the whole family.

Nice little park - FUN FACT:they filmed part of the PEARL JAM video Jeremy in this place. The part when the kid is running in the woods. Back in the 90s of course. Was in the park hanging with some friends when the film crew came in.They let us stay and watch, but it got a little boring. We all left and the video came out a few weeks or months later.Nice park - they have a nice Carousel in this park off the Richmond Ave entrance. Good place for some fresh water fishing & nice place to bring the dogs for the dog run. Bathrooms are generally clean for a park. One of our go to places when the kids were younger. My dad takes his dog there quite often. Lots of ducks to feed. The other side of the park has baseball/softball fields & theres also geocaching to be found in this park. Enjoy the day at Willowbrook park.

This is a small but quiet park. It features a lake, baseball fields, a gravel trail, and a carousel. Its a nice place to walk. I wouldnt say the same for a picnic because a geese live there and seems to get closer to humans with food. They get fed so theyre very dependent on humans for food. Dont get too close to them because some of fight back. The park has two entrances: one at Victory Boulevard and the other at Richmond Avenue. Both entrances have parking lots.

Its nice and cozy . it has a nice playground for kids and horse riding game. Not too busy on week days which makes more fun. You could barbecue in there but you have to bring you on barbecue. Its also has soccer fields and baseball field and a Lake full of turtles . I recommended for a real

They have an archery range a picnic area under the trees with a small kids play gym and a carousel. Parking can get tight when they have an event but otherwise its quiet. A small pond and trails to walk. Honestly a cute little park and if your into hiking it connects to other longer hikes. Worth a stop.

Love this park! Best to visit after a good rain, to wash away some of the goose poop, which is abundant, especially Im winter months. Hopefully, the goose population will drop off in the spring, as usual.

BBQ Friendly place allows you to enjoy BBQ along pre-arranged tables and beaches under the nice shades of the huge and beautiful trees and the beautiful view of the carousel for children. Restrooms, water view and nice place to walk around are available as well. 100% recommend.

This park is really a nice place to visit 😊.its great for hikers,barbequing, 🎣, theres also playgrounds for kids, tennis courts. So much fun here and many other things to do. There is a very nice walking path/loop (half is a trail through the woods) around a small lake with friendly geese and ducks that the kids will love - they get close. The park was clean and not overly crowded.

This is a relaxing park with a beautiful lake filled with cute ducks. A nice place to bring kids and family. They have a clean public bathroom, grilling area, archery area, picnic tables, and free parking. Very nice park and has security constantly driving through. Well protected area.

This park in my opinion is the nicest park on Staten island. Its a family oriented as there is a nice playground and beautiful carousel operating on the weekends. The trails extend all around the park and circle around a lake with all kinds of water fowl living in the area

Great lake. Lots to do: feed the water foul, bike, jog, BBQ, fishing, for little ones: carousel open from May and play ground. Parking sufficient during the week. What is the story with archery field?

The carousel is great for the kids. Restrooms are among the best in the NYC parks system. Limited parking on site, so if youre attend an event that will attract a crowd, expect to just park on the street and hike in.

Willowbrook park is awesome. I love taking my kids here. They have bbq grounds, a playground, a catch n release lake, baseball fields, and lots of grass to run around or sit in. Feeding the ducks on the lake is always fun and the carousel they have is amazing. We always have a good time when we go and they have events that are worth stopping by for. Its my fav park in Staten Island

This park has a carousel which is great for the kids. Behind the carousel there is a large area with picnic tables. There is also an archery range. Most of all is a big lake with lots of ducks you can fish in it.

I love this park and its very gorgeous and lots of trees for nature and they have ducks at the lake, baseball field, bathroom is good and they have nice blue walls including horse photo and more etc. I will go back to that park again in the future.

Ive been going there since i was a little boy for practices and stuff. A lot of fun to rake a little nature walk around the lake and look at the ducks or ride the carousel. Ive never in my life seen a paddlevoard or canoe but maybe thats brand new... all in all its a great place to have a picnic or just relax for a few hours

Take your kids for fresh air, duck pond, carousel and for the BBQ location. And stay for the hiking trails. Parking available but can become filled up.

Awesome place for family gathering and there is picnic spot for BBQ as well along with table and chairs available under the covered tress so no need to worry if even its heat wave or extremely hot as under the tress its cold and public toilets are available in the location so its very good spot for picnic with family located in staten Island 🏝 very clean place so its highly recommended for family gathering for BBQ.

Natural pond with unique flora and fauna surrounded by forest full of wonders, as wandering turtles, birds, small creatures, sits in the middle of bustling city. Sit on a bench and allow the tranquility of the place to take your mind to a happy place.

The park is very open. Theres a carousel there, a candy/ ice cream bar, playground for kids, and a lot of picnic areas. There wasnt a lot of bugs or mosquitoes either. Parking is available but limited, I would carpool.

Great part gives you impression of a real remote forest.

We enjoy the playground, carousel and walking around the lake. HOWEVER, I do not recommend visiting within 2 days of rain as it will be all muddy. Poor drainage and many footfalls.

Very nice park. Short trails that are very easy to navigate. Great view of lighthouse. Picnic tables available. Some informative signage. NO swimming.

Excellent, saw deers, raccoon, swans, ducks even a skunk. Excellent nature getaway without leaving NYC. My only complaint is the path isnt lit at night, it was super dark.

I had a family reunion here Sunday. The park workers were absolutely wonderful. They should get a raise for their work the park was spotless. Rachel I think was her name!!!!!

I used to like to sit in my car and smoke, just to have a few moments of peace, yet I am breaking the law; there is no smoking allowed in any NYC park. My wife caught Lyme disease here from a mosquito, which probably got it from a deer. What a world! Still, I do use the archery field.

Good park to visit, watch out walking for the overabundance of goose poop everywhere but you go to the park to experience nature! Clean restrooms, parking and an area for kids to play. Bring your fishing pole.

Good ride mixed surfaces without warning. Walking peoples. Ends under Korean vet highway. Use to Soouth Beach, Shore road Bklyn, Bklyn in general and the local goat Manhattan on any given Sunday.

Beautiful place to relax with the family. Only thing the toilet is far from the park area, but the atmosphere is great for morning exercises too.

By 4 year old grandson enjoyed the carousel and watching people catch little fish in the lake there and someone even caught a snapping turtle and brought it over to him he had a great time.

Not a good experience. Very disappointed. I got there at 8:45 am. To find out that some people reserve areas the night before like a private property. NO ONE THERE TO HELP YOU. PARK DIRTY WITH DOGGY POOP. How discussing.

I go to Willowbrook Park to drink coffee in the morning. It is peaceful you can watch the Ducks and the birds and people fishing and Runners running. Very pleasant very common

As far as Willowbrook Park its okay Park I think they can do better with it plenty of geese and their mess as far as feeling safe in that Park definitely not I would advise nobody to pass through theyre at night I think it needs a quite few upgrades

I visit this park very often mostly with our dogs. Love it especially now that there arent as many deer.

Always a nice park always well kept

Willowbrook park is a mix of active and passive elements. There is a small piece of play equipment, baseball/softball fields and a world class carousel. There is a pond, picnic tables, bathrooms and an archery range that doubles as a dog run at certain times of the day.

A beautiful park that leads to trails all across the island. Taken some fun hikes here. They have a aweaome archery range as well!

Carousel here is great. There are also several public grills and a small lake with ducks, geese and turtles. Bathrooms actually exist.

Great for Pokémon Go players! There are 2 gyms and 4 Pokéstops! There is a bunch of Pokémon and its a Geodude nest ( For Now)! I got my first Golem by coming here twice! Recommend bringing a bike to hatch eggs easier by going around the lake!

Long time destination for me. Over the years as I grew up the trails have been lost and some of then park has changed. Theybhave a carosell and a duck pond aswelk as archery. Not bad for where it is located.

There is one particular worker that is absolutely the best person. Anytime, me and my children go the park is kept beautifully and its due to Alberto Torres.

First time there and I loved it. Great for family gatherings. Got to see deers and visit the pond, awesome.

We used to hang out there in the 1980sWow brings back memories.

Our family spent there 3 hours and there was plenty to do, walking around the lake feeding the ducks, having a picnic, and playing at the playground. We brought along balls, kites.

Great park, gets a bit marshy in the Summer months when it rains. Lots of mosquitos. Particularly nice in the Fall for playing in the leaves.

Park has baseball fields, a pond for fishing, trails, a playground, carousel and an archery field that is also a dog park from 7-9am. The only downside is all the duck and goose poop.

Nice country feel when leafed out. Pond had fish, ducks/geese occasional turtle. Ball fields, trails, playground and carousel.

My kids love this place. So beautiful during spring. And always clean

Nice place for children to fish and watch the ducks swim. Also there is a carousel for younsters to enjoy in the spring/summer

Love the park ,quiet and not a bunch of people around. Go for work gatherings but its good

Nice big park to visit, plenty of areas to picnic on, a nice supply of picnic tables and some areas even have there own barbecue grills, I like it.

Mostly clean , the restrooms are a plus . Parking is always available. Its more fun when the carousel is open.

Very nice park for Children and adults. Lots of ducks and geese very nice carousel for kids of all ages.

Beautiful Carousel located @ this lovely park. For those who need a restroom they have the cleanest Ive ever seen! Lol

Clean park sometimes there’s a lot of people and limited parking . But still really good park

Go early for a good parking spot. It can get a little crowded, but it is one of the most scenic lakes on Staten Island.

Is awesome, nice place to walk and archery practice, is even better on summer time ,the park is open at 100% carousel opens ,

Grew up going to this park and its a pleasure to bring my son to it!

Beautiful picnic and BBQ area by the carousel. Great archery range and hiking trail too

Nice little park. I use it as a starting point to hit the miles of trails on the island. Havent seen Cropsey yet.

Lovely little park in the middle of all the congestion and traffic. Carousel open in summer. Could use a few upgrades.
