Special shout out to my new pet beautician aka groomer Kay Kay who did a fabulous job on my daughter Gizma. The cut and color was just the way I wanted it. I’ve used Bow Wow Wow since they opened several years ago. First with my very lovable Scooter and now with my extremely shy Roxy. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. They are so caring and patient with the dogs, and they do a great job bathing, grooming etc. I highly recommend Bow Wow Wow!!

I have been using Bow Wow Wow for several months. I am extremely pleased with their services. My dog never liked to be groomed and used to cry just knowing she was going for a bath. That has all changed since finding Bow Wow Wow. My dog gets so happy when we arrive at the shop. She now looks so clean and smells great. Her nails are trimmed well and her deshedding treatment really helps keep her neat and tidy. I also can not say enough about all of the employees and the shop owner, Allison. Everyone is so friendly and professional that it is a pleasure to do business with them. I highly recommend Bow Wow Wow for all of you pet grooming needs.

My Emma is 10 years old and has Cushings disease and arthritis. Not only does Angel do a great job grooming her but is also kind and considerate of her physical needs.

4/7/23 I bring my dog in healthy, walking, running.I go and pick her up, and the woman who did the grooming says, does she have problems with her right leg? I repplied no why? She says she was crying when I touched it. I get home the dog is crying limping wont even put pressure one the leg. I called and spoke to the owner asked what happened? She said when they went to groom the dog it was in pain. So I said why didnt you just stop and call me? No response, then she says maybe she has arthritis. The dog is 4 years old!!!! Turns out the my, DOG HAS A BROKEN LEG!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY DID!!! I WILL NOW SEEK LEGAL ADVISE...

After today, I will not be going to this groomers. I did not expect such service from the owner herself. I called to make an appointment for my dog and stated that last time he was there (3wks ago) he was suppose to have a deshedding bath. As 3wks ago upon payment that day I was charged $35 (normal bath no deshedding charge) in which I was surprised as I usually pay 45(tax creditcard) with deshedding. I asked the lady at the desk if he was deshedded and she ask the groomers in which everyone looked at each other for a minute asking each other and eventually one said yes. I paid and went home. Upon going home I noticed the same amount of shedding which usually doesnt happen when they deshed my dog. Due to my busy schedule I did not call right away.I was going to be give this place another chance but once I called. I told whomever answered the phone the situation and asked for a refund for the deshedding or to be applied for my next visit. I then was transferred to owner. In the background you could here them talking about how i was calling after three wks and that dogs are going to shed etc. Keep in mind upon speaking to either of them did i not disrespect them. All i asked ONCE was for a refund or if it can be applied to my next visit as it was unsure by the groomers themselves that day.The owner instantly stated “it was a $5 upcharge for deshedding, which we can refund it to you, but we will no longer be taking appointments from you” without even hearing my situation and stated she had too much going on right now to even here me out.I gave this place to many chances as they would usual not even cut or file my dogs nails, in which I would have to ask all the time at the end of the visit.As a customer service professional I would have expect an apology, understand the situation and either helped or assure it wont happen again. The owner was to over defensive and not understanding at all.

Love how the dogs are not caged up and they dont ask you to be there at 9 for pick up at 3. Everyone was very friendly and Allison did a great job on my 3 Yorkies.

Best groomer ever!!! I called last minute because my dog got skunked. They fit me in within an hour. Kayla washed him 6 times and then groomed him. Kayla did an excellent job. Took care of my Dozer and made him so comfortable. Dozer is an older dog who is afraid of everything. I wish I could rate this place a 10000000!!!

I took my Husky to get groomed and when I was called to pick my Husky up as I was walking back home I noticed that my Husky was not combed out it seemed as if they only bathe him and that’s it. So, I phoned Bow Wow Wow and was told to bring my Husky back a few days after, I was told by the owner that they would take care of my Husky and correct the issue of not grooming him correctly. So I left and about 15 minutes after I get a phone call that my Husky bit the bather. So, I was told by an employee in front of the owner that if I want my Husky to be groomed by them I must have my Husky sedated. I then responded that I never ever had a problem with Angel or Christina who no longer work there. I was a customer for quite some time with my daughters Yorkie and my Husky. But, wow the audacity for them to lie about my Husky biting the bather and the rudeness and unprofessional remarks said in front of the owner who did absolutely nothing. Do yourself a favor never ever take your dog there, the new employees are soooo rude and the owner just sits there while the employee talks down and unprofessional to people.

My Yorkie Valentino adores Allison and her staff. He actually races up the stairs and showers her with kisses the minute we get inside. We both think Bow Wow is awesome, and I have had quite a few dogs who have needed groomers since 1964! Cage free is special - and much appreciated. But importantly he ALWAYS looks wonderful (people in Manhattan stop me every day with “OMG he looks so cute!) (and YES we come in from Manhattan now that we have moved. ) I can not express how NICE everyone is, and how much I truly trust them.

The whole staff here is just the best! My dog is very nervous for grooming but they take extra care to make sure hes safe, calm and looking his best! The shop is clean and as soon as I walk in I feel like family. Winston and I love Bow Wow, and well never go anywhere else!

I’ve been going here for about a year. I have gone to almost every groomer. They all care so much and are truly passionate and attentive about the work they do. They try to be as flexible as possible with scheduling, and as a whole have really earned the title of being the best groomers on the Island.

Lovely, friendly owners. Truly artists in the field and the dogs can feel the love from this group. You can come in and put your feet up while enjoying a zen type atmosphere. Never been disappointed with my Lexi Raes style (and she loves her Auntie Allison!) Your first visit will make you a continued customer .

Really cute dog spa , excellent operators Young And Hip. They are also great with the dogs. After your dog is groomed they roam free , they are not put in cages. The prices are right on target. They also have an excellent selection of dog toys, and clothing. Enjoy your experience.

Allison and the Staff of Bow Wow wow are the best there is. Allison has been grooming Brownie for 4 years and I wouldnt ever let anyone else touch him. He is in the best hands when I drop him off and now that he is going to look handsome when I pick him up. I recommend them to everyone I see!!!!

The groomers are wonderful here - everyone is so friendly and kind to both your pet and you. I also love that its an open floor concept and had the opportunity to watch my dog being groomed the first time he visited. Would recommend to anyone.

Had been very satisfied with this business. Maybe covid or something altered this place.took new dog. Groomer in a hurry totally shaved dogs tail without consulting owner dog is schicon signature tail. That never offered services, apologized but rudely defended their actions. Took dog back thought discussed with groomer tipped her etc.. now they rudely stated I had altercation with groomer. I never have involved in ugly altercations then she hung up phone. I was shocked by the rude defensive position

Ellie from Bow Wow Wow Groomers has been cutting my pups hair for years, she loves animals, especially my boy and it shows. Ellie and everyone at Bow Wow Wow are awesome, and no cages for our the pups! Highly Recommend.

Yesterday my dog Lexi had an appointment to get groomed, my husband dropped her off, for me ,unfortunately I had neglected her a little ,I immediatly received a call that the hair by her ears needed to be cut, it was matted. The average groomer would have just shaved them . I appreciate the extra care that is given to make sure its ok , well she looks back to her beautiful self . They do an exceptional job, its not just about getting the puppy done you can see its about really loving what they are doing there. Its out of my way to go there, but its definitely worth the trip. Lexi is a Coton DuLear small and delicate it is very important that she is handled with kit cloves as should be for everyones dog !

Im a previous client. I moved so I am no longer on Staten island. They were the best groomers I ever used,my three dogs always looked and smelled beautiful ❤️

Hands down the worse groomer we’ve ever encountered. Their gross negligence was incomprehensible. Watched as their groomer and assistant let our dog fall off the table and hang herself. Luckily she was not killed but the ensuing month of medication and care for the dog was on them. Then had the nerve to lie to our face and say the dog falling off the table wasn’t the reason She couldn’t walk out of the groomer. Their reason was she was old dog. I wouldn’t trust this place to groom a stuffed animal let alone a living breathing one. Took them to court for the vet bill and they both had the nerve while sworn in to lie to the court. How would you trust your pets life to people you cant even trust to tell the truth. Stay far far away for yours and your pets sake.

I am a regular and bring my little Barbara here to freshen up. She so looks forward to it and when completed, she has such an energetic smile and smells great.

My Labradoodle Bruno can get messy.. but this groomer takes her time and he always comes out looking great.

Bow wow wow has the most proficient polite and professional grooming staff on Staten Island, hands down. I strongly recommend them. They truly care about your pet.

My dog is now bald. This is what happens when people overbook or have someplace else to be. Example: Halloween. I should have never let my dog take the appointment. She literally has no tail now. A goldendoodle with no fluff!! I really just want to cry. I hope it grows back.

Allison & staff treat my babies as if they were theirs. I can watch as they get trimmed, if not for this option my husband would be trimming them. Were extremely satisfied.

I’ve been a client for close to two and a half years. I also work in the veterinary field and would refer our clients to them on multiple occasions. I contacted the groomer early August for my two females to get groomed, un related my mother passed the next day and as family was coming over for services, I wanted my two males to get groomed or at least bathed for company. My husband contacted them to see if they two could be seen the same day, the receptionist sighed and told us they can do the next day and my husband stressed it had to be today. The receptionist then told him he need the shot records for the males and we have to get it if not we have to make time to get it. I know plenty of groomers who contact the vets office on behalf of the client to verify immunizations, but that was never extended. My husband then tried to tell her we do not have the time right now and she then proceeded to raise her voice, speak over him and rush him off the phone.I contacted the receptionist myself and was met with the same brashness. I informed her that one male is up to date on his vaccines (which his file would indicate) and my other male has a condition (with a verified letter on file) that says he can not have vaccines for medical reasons. Instead of her looking into the system, she again was nasty and then yelled so I proceeded to yell at her back. I enjoyed my dogs getting groomed by Angel and the rest of the staff, especially since they were comfortable with them, but they lacked in empathy and customer service so I will not be returning nor referring there.On another note: if anyone knows a great groomer please let me know. Thanks.

Great experience. I brought my golden retriever there to get groomed and they did a fantastic job, one of the best haircut/trims my doggie has ever gotten. Its really easy to do a bad job with this type of dog. He had a few problem areas (knots, oily hair) and they fixed him up perfect, trimmed his nails, bathed him. Its also a no cage facility so he had a great time socializing with the other dogs there. Front desk and groomer were very professional and accommodating (I took my dog there on the wrong day, my fault, but they were still able to squeeze him in).Highly recommend, prices are very reasonable for the quality and service that you get.

I wouldve gave this place 0 stars if that was an option. My dog went into Bow Wow Wow perfectly normal but after they took her she came out with a POPPED BLOOD VESSEL IN HER EYE AND A SKIN RASH! Their first excuse about the popped blood vessel was that the wind from the blow dryer popped it and then their second excuse was that my dog was stressed when she was there. Both excuses are the most ridiculous bs Ive ever heard. Only after I have went home did I realize that my dog had a skin rash, which is extremely unprofessional of the employees to not notify me when I picked my dog up. Its sickening how they tried to sweep the situation under the rug, like this happens all the time, when my dog has never had this type of experience at any other grooming salon. How ignorant can they be to not let me know that my dog could potentially be in serious danger due to their employees doing, and not offer any real explanation or solution to the problem. Never has my dog ever been so stressed to pop a blood vessel in her eye, nor has she ever gotten a skin rash, until she visited Bow Wow Wow. It is disgusting how they would try to blame an innocent animal for their own wrong doings. This is the most irresponsible, unprofessional pet groomers business and the worst experience Ive ever had with grooming my dog. I will never bring my dog back again and I advise all to do the same.
