Nice place, very friendly staff, polite and very accommodating. Been going there for almost 6 years and never had bad experience. Consistent and my boys always look great. Highly recommended.

They are so attentive and caring with pets. My dog is a very nervous girl and I often hear them reassuring her and taking their time as she gets her nails cut. The staff is friendly and seems to really care about your pets. I recommend you stop in and give it a try.A few notes - store front area is a little dated but dont let that dissuade you.It is CASH ONLY. Atm is next door at M&T bank.

I really like this place. My dog stayed here for over a week and was as happy as the day we dropped her off. The people here are very honest and the pricing is good as well. The haircuts are awesome, they have so many styles to choose from (from funny ones to just really cute ones) most importantly my dog has 0 cute, 0 bleeding and doesn’t come out scarred for life after her grooming)With that said I’d like to take a second to validate some of the negative reviews people leave.. there is another store on Richmond Avenue that calls themselves shampooch SI . They are NOT affiliated in any way with this store and literally robbed the name and added SI at the end, the same store that killed someone’s dog by leaving It in the drier too long. It’s not fair that people leave these reviews thinking it’s another store. And everyone brings the records for first time grooming.. who wants to groom a pitbull without knowing if It has its shots.. people are silly.I highly recommend trying this place, they are great. I used to HATE driving to Brooklyn for grooming because there aren’t any honest shops in true Staten Island fashion.

Marina is amazing with my two schnauzers and they always come out happy and looking great! At every past groomer my dogs were always afraid to go in. At Shampooch they are eager to run inside every time.

Horrible, I went once never ever again. They were so disrespectful, the lady with black hair don’t ever let her touch ur dogs, not onlyDid she verballyAbuse me but she harassed me by yelling at my face. Screaming to get out the store. I have Heard fromMultiple people howBad their experience is. When I came backTo the store to talk to the manager he told me that “that’s not what the worker said so we are not taking your word” and clearly didn’t care about anything I had to say about how it upset me . Truly dissatisfied and disappointed. Even the girl that works in the front is absolutely useless

I had an amazing experience bringing my cat here. Unfortunately, many salons don’t even want to accept cats, especially for such an amazing price. My cat looked beautiful and not stressed at all. Will be coming back

Did the most fantastic job on BOTH of my dogs. One of my dogs was extremely scared of being groomed, but shampooch completely took all of the fear out of my baby. A++++++++ SERVICE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO EVERYONE. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF AND A LOVELY LOCATION!!!!

Ive been here once and will never EVER return. I decided to give them a try since I live a few blocks away and all I needed for my new lab April was a nail clipping. The price was great ($7) too.I asked the man who let me in if I can go in the back to watch, since I wanted to learn the correct way to cut the nails. He said absolutely.The woman doing the grooming was nasty from the start. She literally pointed towards the waiting area and told me to go wait in there(english was not her first language so I gave her the benefit of the doubt, maybe there was a miscommunication). I informed her that the gentleman said it was ok for me to watch.This is where it got bad. She was not friendly towards my already scared dog. She didnt try to make her at ease, didnt even acknowledge her, just yanked her and tied her to a cage. After the first nail, the back paw, April seemed uncomfortable. The woman would not hessitate yanking the HELL out of my poor dogs paws, no matter how much she twisted and turned.After 2 nails, she put on this petrolium jelly on the nails. Again, Ive never had my dogs nails clipped before, but the ACTUAL reason she put it on was because my dog started bleeding. She probably noticed the blood before I did since I was trying to calm down April. I told her that shes BLEEDING but the woman wanted to CONTINUE! I immediately stopped her and left after just 2 nails.Funny thing is, the lady TOLD me WHILE the clipping that Aprils nails were already short. SO WHY CONTINUE? ESPECIALLY WHEN THE DOG IS CLEARLY IN PAIN AND FOR GOD SAKES BLEEDING. YOURE THE PROFESSIONAL, YOURE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THIS.I didnt give it 1 star because the other staff were friendly and professional and the price was very good (although I didnt pay them a dime, obviously). But seriously, that woman back there has got to go, and lucky that Im a calm person.

Completely unprofessional. made an appointment and was told to provide immunization records, told them have it in an email from the vet and was told it is fine. Took time off from work, came in for my appointment and was told we dont know how to print from email, needs to be fax only... Wont be coming back!

Best place for grooming. My pets always look great and come home very happy!

I have a toy poodle. I’ve always had a positive experience here. I tell them to call me ten minutes before they’re done as i don’t want cole caged at all and they do that every time. Do a nice job. He’s going again tomorrow. 🐶

My dog who is 10 pounds bit the groomer while they where typing to put him in the bathtub and they called my nephew and told him to pick the dog up,when I got home and was informed I called Shampooch and was talking to one of the employees who was INSANLEY nasty on the phone, she was screaming and whenever I asked her a question got really defensive and before I could finish my statement hung up,I Alert that I have taken my dog there more then 3 times before and have never had this problem before, It was extremely rude for a place thats supposed to be very comftarmble because you are after all leaving your dog there,will not be going there again& I hope that the rude woman on the phone receives her consequences,what a disappointment!!

We like coming here to have our Yorkie groomed. They good a good job and the Yorkie doesnt seem to mind :-)

Worst pet grooming experience Ive had on Staten Island. Period.

Took our dog in today and asked them for the same cut they did the previous two times. We pick him up and he is completely shaved. No shape, some spots shaved more then others. It was shock picking him up. And all they said was that he had knots. I wish they would have at least given me a heads up. I would have brushed him out myself or left it up to me to make the choice. Looks like they just didn’t want to do anything and shaved his whole body.

Never ever take your dog to this place unless you personally know the owner. They shaved him and his ears were bleeding . We had to rush to the hospital right after he was groomed. It cost my dog a lot of pain and hundreds of dollars to us. Look what they did to my poor dog 4 months ago( left) and this is what he looks now(right) after his beautiful hair grew back and I took him to the real professional and responsible groomer (not Shampooch inc)

We took our Maltese here for the first time and are very happy with how she looks. This is a great place to bring your pet for haircut.
