The second time around taking our pup to The Groom Room. I usually wait until we try a place a few times until i pass any judgment.. I genuinely can not express enough how amazing they are from start to finish. They are clean, fast, affordable, and do amazing work. Our dog leaves looking amazing, and shes always happy. Their prices are very reasonable. They really listen to what you want for your pet and do it beautifully. Thank you 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Excellent place to bring your dog. Brought my wild and shaggy 15 week Aussie/Poodle mix in and he came out looking like a brand new dog, he smelled great and had a new bandana on! The staff were friendly, they had a nice selection of pet supplies also. Cant wait to go back

Love bringing my fur baby here ! He is always well taken care of and looks so amazing and clean when he’s done… no issues with him being hurt accidentally or anything like that… this will always be my go to groomer for him !

Was able to get a last minute groom for Casper, my Persian cat and nails for all of them and reasonable prices.

I would leave zero stars if that was an option. The ladies that were there were nice as individuals, however, thats not where my issue is with this business.I was charged $65 to have my medium sized dog (roughly 55 lbs) bathed, brushed, ears cleaned and nails clipped. When I went to pick my dog up they said they couldnt clean her ears or clip her nails because she was fighting them the whole time.My dog, strong as she is, is docile as can be. And if this is the service you provide on a daily basis youre telling me youre not good enough to soothe a 55 lb dog enough to clean her ears and clip her nails??? This says something about the level of service they are offering here.To add insult to injury, I was not even offered a discount to the bill since they didnt provide half the services included in the price I was paying for.Something else to note, While I was checking my pup in and waiting in the front area they had a walk in come in for a dog grooming who had never been there before based on the questions they asked the pet owner. They took the owners call back info asked them what they wanted done, took dog in and said theyd call them when ready.What they failed to do was ask for any records of vaccinations to make sure the dog was healthy enough to be around other peoples pets. By not having them provide that info puts everyone else pet at risk for sickness and disease, in the event that dog was not vaccinated.I have no clue what the law requires a dog grooming business to verify but any place I have been to on the island has always required proof of vaccinations.Needless to say we will not be returning to The Groom Room.

Ive been using the groom room for many years and am always impressed at their work and l0ve for the animals. My elderly cocker spaniel is always in good hands at the Groom Room.

Extremely disappointed for the second time at thegroom room. The first time our dog went he wasgiven a bald spot, things happen honest mistake itgrows back. We decided to give them anotherchance today and of course when Im home wediscover an open wound under his leg near hisgroin area. When I asked the female Amanda aboutthis she said oh he scratched himself, then itbecame, well it was a scab that he must havereopened. My dog is very happy and playful hisfavorite cuddle position is on his back so we canrub his stomach, which he did prior to us droppinghim off. He had NO scratches or wounds. To sayIm disappointed alone is an understatement, ourdog is family and he wasnt treated with the carewe thought he deserved. After calling again tospeak to the manager Samantha & get the namesshe did offer to personally groom him next timeand talk to her employee but as I stated to her Imnot sure I feel comfortable because this is nowTWO separate instances. If I decide to take himagain and have better experiences I will gladlymake sure to write another review.

Customer for a number of years. Staff always pleasant. They really love the dogs..you cant fake that. I have two dogs who are very timid and they treat them like they are their children. Price point is very acceptable. Always satisfied with the cuts and appointment accommodations. Highly Recommend....

This place is great, I have been taking my puppy Madison here since I got her. I had tried other pet salons on the island, and was not happy with the service or the results. Sam is great, always does exactly what I ask and my Madison always looks and smells great. Staff is friendly and always accommodating.

I have never had a bad experience here with my dog Mia. We have been taking her here for 10 years. We always just make sure to take her sometime early in the morning during the week, because weekends can get very busy. She has never gotten any injuries and always comes out looking beautiful.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Great job grooming my dog. My dog gets excited when we arrive for an appointment. I think that his positive reaction says a lot.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL to bring your dogs here. I took My 8month puppy in to get her tear marks trimmed and nails trimmed, I heard my puppy squealing and screaming continuously inside. When I ask someone who worked there if that is my puppy screaming, they told me its not my dog screaming When my puppy came out her paw was covered in blood and was bleeding . I tell them OMG she is bleeding...He tells me... its normal and that they cut it too short Charged me full price for HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE if you love your pet there are many other dog salons on the island. This has never happened to me when I went to other doggie groomers. My puppy was traumatized! it is completely unacceptable for a professional groomer to make a mistake and then be so dismissive about it. Animals have no voice, so we have to advocate and speak for them.

Although my pup came out looking great initially, I realized they hadnt trimmed everywhere they were supposed to for the type of dog I have. I thought about calling back, however, it already had taken them 1.5 hours longer than they had told me originally and the workers were very rude. Not somewhere I want to return to.

My dog has been going there for years. Every holiday they put a cute scarf to match. My dog gets excited about going. Everyone is super friendly! I highly recommend this place 5 stars for sure

We have been taking taking our dogs Buddy and Daisy for years. The staff at the Groom Room have always been a pleasure to work with, no matter how cranky our dogs might be. Daisy says you should ask for Sam.

My YORKIES, are happy going to the Groomer, exceptional service. I have an old sweet dog & young pup.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Brought my dog to get his nails cut, now hes bleeding everywhere and theres almost no nails left at all except for the ones they completely forgot to cut. If you love your dog find somewhere else to go, theyre trash.

The Groom Room offers a complete Dog 🐕 Spa with nail cutting, hair cut and doggie bath. Pet supplies and treats are available. The sweaters, leashes etc. are a plus.

Its the best place to bring your pet to be groomed with experience and Love. 😻

Brought our dog in for bath and trim, told them not to shave her and just clean her up. THE GROOM ROOM shaved her and then blamed us saying that we told them to do the usual, basically calling me a liar. Then the owner, Christie, refused to refund our payment even though it wasn’t the service we requested. DO NOT GO THERE EVER!

The Groom Room is by far the best on staten island i have been using them for years ...my Shepard is always always happy to go there when i tell him he is going for a bath he runs in circles and then straight to the door .....never a problem to take him there he comes back smelling looking and feeling perfect ...... when we bring him home he struts himself around the house as if to say look at me ... i they know him by name when we come in and he knows right where he has to go ...... i would only recommend the groom room as i have tried others in the past and had some issues ..... they like what they do over there and they love the pets that is clear to see ......it is always a pleasure never a problem with them .....i dont know what i would do without them

Not a fan. This place doesnt check vaccine records of the pets they take in, beware. Who knows what theyre exposing your pet too with possible other unvaccinated dogs and animals being brought in.

Weve been going to them since we came out to the island. First we took our Bullmastiff Winston and now Rocky the Cockapoo. Good people.

I WOULD HAVE GIVEN NO STARS, BUT I HAD TO IN ORDER TO POST. VERY BAD GROOMING. THEY DO NOT LISTEN. I ASKED NOT TO SHAVE MY DOGS VAGINA LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO BECAUSE IT GETS ITCHY AND SHE DRAGS IT ON THE FLOOR AND GETS INFECTIONS... THEY SHAVED IT. I ASKED NOT TO SHAVE MY MALTESE DOWN TO THE SKIN, HE WAS NOT MATTED, THEY SHAVED HIM. ITS WINTER, NOW I HAVE TO PUT A COAT ON HIM TO GO OUT AND A SWEATER ALL THE TIME BECAUSE HE GETS COLD. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE GROOMING ITSELF IS HORRIBLE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, DONT TAKE YOUR DOG THERE. THANK YOU.
