The office staff, vet techs, and doctors are so amazing! They are kind, compassionate, helpful, knowledgeable, and communicate well! Were so happy to have found them! 😃 💕

I had a wonderful experience here. My cat was just there to get her nails clipped (which they did seemingly without much of an issue at all). The clipping with the new patient exam (mandatory exam for new cats) was $88 dollars. With the new patient package, I also got a free dose of flea treatment (Revolution) and they applied it to her which was nice. I ended up buying another 6 doses. And as pictured, they immediately gave her a blanket that had a pheromone on it that I hear cats as used to at birth which helped calm her down significantly. My cat seemed to not have the most traumatic time which is what I was afraid of. She seemed fine though. Overall, I’d say the visit was very pleasant. I think I spent roughly 45 mins here.

They told me my dog didn’t have fleas and that he had an ear infection.. Tried to scam me into buying their membership for 300 dollars for two dogs. Little to no concern about my poor babies health. Also another confirmed fleas and no infection.

I HATE this place if they would have took a look at my dogs leg right after injuring it maybe I wouldn’t have had to put her down. This was my dogs vet , will never bring my animals to them again. Too expensive and they don’t care .

Staff is great will recommend this place. Barney(cat) was so comfortable and loved every minute being spoiled. Thanks for handling him with so much ❤️

I recently had to go here for an emergency, we thought our very small teacup yorkie was choking and the nearest vet was the shop city one. We brought her in very scared, and they took action immediately with no hesitation. They were wonderful from start to finish. I recommend them completely that they will always hold a special place on our heart the way they take care of our Bella.Dr wang has made me change our mind of this place. My one review is nowhere to be found, so I am updating this one!!! My dog passed away under Dr. Alice Wangs care. She was 7 years old and a teacup yorkie. She pushed us to have her spayed and ruptured her kidney, and she ended up going into cardiac arrest and died. Her bedside manner was horrible. She wouldnt stop talking like she was trying to rid her conscience of what she did. Wasnt trying to comfort us at all. Said these things happen its 50/50. She left us with so much sorrow. She should be investigated!!!!!

VAC shop city animal clinic is an excellent place for all pet care. I would suggest /advise taking any healthy/sick animal there for care. The only issue I have are some of the prices for some of the procedures. However the vets really care and help to find solutions for your pets and service animals that save there lives and help them to live better and longer lives.

After finding out that my long time vets office is no longer a vets office(only boarding now after losing their doctors) and calling around frantically all morning, Shop City Animal Hospital was able to get my cat in right away today. Dr. Danbois, the front desk receptionist, and the vet tech were all wonderful. Dr. Danbois was not only thorough, but spoke in a way that I could understand. She answered questions before I could even ask them. I love that they put aside sick visits each day for times when you cant wait weeks for a visit. Highly recommend. I will be transferring all my pets over here! Thank you to your team for finding my baby some relief today!

I went Camilus and they turn my dog away even with a muzzle. When I call Shop city, they told me the are train to deal with dogs with any kind of attitude. They too really good care of my dog and that is where my dog will go as long as I live in NY. They are simply the best.

This place is great. I called them worried about my kitty having an infection and even though I wasnt a patient, they managed to fit me in next day. Theyve certainly made a customer out of me!

Been taking my dogs and cats here for awhile now. Great place. Great vets. Amazing care. The only reason my 11 year old Great Dane is still alive is because this place told me to take my dog to Cortland. She wouldn’t have survived without them directing me there. 10/10 recommend

Dr. Danbois is amazing!! Very informative and reassuring, doesn’t try to push you into a million tests but gives you the education and her opinion and lets you decide what you’d like to do. She is super friendly and caring to my dog as well. Very thorough!!! Cannot recommend her enough! Have been seeing her for years.

I was able to get my baby in the same day when I explained my concerns over the phone. He wasn’t drinking or eating and very weak. I wasn’t able to afford the first price and they were able to negotiate a price in my budget with different medication . Pluto is doing so much better and I couldn’t ask for a better place to take Pluto. I will be back ! :)

Without a doubt, VCA Shop City is the place to go for veterinary concerns. Every employee is a caring, helpful animal lover. From reception to the Doctors, you will not find a more dedicated bunch. I dont say this lightly - they love my animals as much as I do. The clinic is very accommodating in so far as cost goes and they will never do anything, big or small, without consulting you, they arent trying to sell you anything. Their knowledge is apparent in the myriad approaches to solving any issues. Its rare that only one option is offered. I have had the pleasure to get to know the Doctors over the years and they are talented and passionate about their work. Ive had some veterinary Doctors that are warm, talented and helpful. The staff here is all of those things- only more. And I wont say that they are least expensive, but I will say that they are as fairly priced as possible. If you love your animals and need to see a vet; here you will find a group that loves them as well.

I have been taking my two cats to Shop City Animal Hospital ever since I adopted them from a shelter four years ago. This veterinarian location has always been super professional and friendly. Most importantly, everyone there is very competent. I feel like my cats are in very good hands. My cats are seven and ten so they are a little bit older and my eldest has had some health issues, all of which Shop City has handled beautifully. When there has been a need to refer out to another veterinarian specialty service, they have been quick and understanding. They recently renovated this location and it is very nice inside and extremely clean. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone who has a furry friend :-)

The Drs and staff are an amazing group. I have been going to them for years and they have always treated myself and my pets with kindness and care. Cant thank them enough.

We have a tough customer, our Jack Russell/Morkie mix.He has tasted a few vets who dont listen to the human that knows the dog!! VCA America @ Shop City has made friends with the vet here. She respects our input and works around the issues our dog presents. You may have to wait to get an appointment, bit it is well worth it for us.

After 12 years at the same vet, I was denied a refill of antibiotics for my dog 6 weeks after being seen and paying almost $400 out of pocket for an anal gland examination. My options were to wait 2 weeks for the next opening or transfer to a new vet as they are down to 1 doctor for the entire vet office. I was able to get an appointment sooner with a vet that has never seen us before. Save youself the time and money, and take your pets elsewhere.

We had our first visit to the Shop City Animal Hospital in April of this year after coming home with our new baby from the Humane Society (we were just going to look!!!) From the first time we came in, the staff has been so friendly and knowledgeable...and most important, everyone is SOOO good with our kitty! They examine, poke, prod, give shots.....all while ensuring that she is safe, comfortable and as at ease as possible!! I have had to reschedule appointments - no problem, as the staff is always accommodating. We are very glad our new addition is getting such good health care! THANK YOU TO ALL!!!!

Very negative experience after years of our dog being a patient here. Pup was having a health emergency but when we called to get her in we were informed we are no longer a patient due to time lapsed between appointments (pandemic?). Also said they had no record of our Vet ever being assigned to us despite years of care and prescriptions from here. My wife was then hung up on by the front desk staff while asking questions about how to get our sick dog help. Really unfortunate because we have an aggressive rescue and Dr Danboise was so great with her. Maybe just a bad day for them mixed with stress of our dogs situation but feel its best to look elsewhere now.

When I first started coming here, it was great, so I opened up a care club account with them (basically pet insurance for this specific location).Unfortunately, for the last few months, the wait time for appointments are usually at least two weeks out. My cat is immunocompromised, so she has to see a vet quite frequently, thats why I opted into the care plan. Ive had to start bringing her to another vet because she usually cant wait until they have an opening at this location. Now Im still paying for their care club, which you cant easily cancel, and Im unable to even utilize it.I want to make sure I mention that the staff here is really friendly, and almost certainly none of this is their fault! They seem to be doing the best they can with what they have.If the scheduling issues improve, Ill gladly update this review!

I forgot the name of the receptionist I was speaking to earlier but she was very nice! I asked her about preventatives for my dog and she gave me every option available to me in detail. Ive never had a problem with this place. My dog had dietary problems when he was a baby and the vet really helped! She made it easy on my pocket, she was knowledgable and returned my calls. This place is great.

My cat died less than a month after receiving a completely clean bill of health from vet. Never returned my call when he was in emergency care. Continue to send appointment reminders for my dead cat.

We brought our kitty here several times, and each time the staff and doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable! Our cat had a very bad infection, and high fever, and they took care of her immediately and did everything they could, and now she is doing much better and healing! Both times I needed an appointment, they got us in the same day. Also, they are very fair pricing, and explain everything they are going to do and break down the price of everything. I def. recommend this vet! :)

I just moved to the area and we brought a new puppy here for his first exam. I was so impressed with everyone at the office I decided to continue bringing him and my three other pets. Everyone is very friendly, professional and helpful, the offices and rooms are clean and they will work with you. They all make you feel very welcome and they always are friendly to the pets. Every time my puppy was sick they made an appointment for me right away. I would recommend them if you want a thorough, professional, friendly experience.

I took my cat, Cleo,to Shop City her whole life (12 years). Today I had to say goodbye. The staff was kind, caring, and compassionate throughout the whole process. Dr. Danboise is one of the best. She always treated my cat like she was one of her own. Thank you for all you did for my Cleo over the years.

Our sweet dog Emma was so sick and our vet was booked and couldnt see her. VCA Sop City did take us and even though we were new and the Covid virus was happening they treated us with such kindness. We had to put our dog down and they were so caring that my son and I could not have found a better place to go. I will be making this our new place for our furry family members. Thank you for a wonderful place with wonderful staff.

We have used VCA SC from day 1 for our rescue dog and 2 kitties we were fostering. Our dog LOVES going there, and everyone loves to see him. We were there this week with eye and upper respiratory. It was a good visit, but it took a little longer than usual. So long that the dog had an accident while we were waiting for the bill! Oops! We are very happy with this group.

I took my new rescue dog there yesterday, I was so impressed with the facility, staff and the knowledge they all had. The team made my dog feel comfortable. Dr. Honeysett was so patient and gave me a wealth of knowledge about my new pet. I have another dog at home and I will be taking him here from now on. Its a hike from my house, but WELL worth it. Thank you!

Let me start by saying that I was reluctant to post this... Im not one to leave poor reviews... I would rather discuss these things directly, but the fact that this review supports a lot of the rumors and opinions I have been given since bringing my dog here I feel for the sake of improving services at this facility its necessary. I genuinely dont feel my opinion would go much further than the water cooler if I were to reach out directly any ways since Ive shared it before in person... After my recent experience and since I have seen responses to the poor reviews encouraging reaching out and/or apologizing, I would think the handful would be enough to encourage improvement but hey... what do I know? Its not like my job is managing customer service and project teams (sarcasm if you didnt catch it)... First I would like to start by saying our first visit 2ish-3 years ago was great... We adopted our youngest from Helping Hounds who has/had a program prepared through SCAH... The techs and vet were very engaged, supportive, informative and the whole deal. Part of the reason I didnt press to take him to our other two boys vet (nothing wrong with them, just figured he started here and it would be easier to keep up with him here) and since HH recommended them, I figured Hey, they were incredible so they must be good!. Thats where the positivity stopped though... Our next visits were lack luster at best, so much so I have been reluctant to continue but have had little luck getting him into our other vets office since they were not taking new patients. To save on the essay, we have had scheduling issues, double bookings, billing issues, been forgotten about in exam rooms for upwards of 45 minutes to an hour, and thats not even getting into the engagement of the vets and techs. I have yet to see the same vet or technician here... The only person that I have seen thats the same is the women working behind the front desk, aside from that they have all been different. The girl who took him most recently had to of been brand new as she could hardly carry a conversation with me and clearly looked very uncomfortable handling our dog... so much so they felt it necessary to muzzle him despite not seeing any aggressive behavior or body language (hes the dog every one of our family and friends want to steal and keep for their own if youd like a character reference... Im not against muzzles at all... we also own a stubborn a-hole of a husky so I get it... Im against inexperienced people handling my dogs).. Even worse so is how poorly engaged they have been... Turn and Burn comes to mind here. We have either been hustled through our appointments or as I mentioned before, felt very much like an after thought. I have never experienced this at another vet practice and I have been a pet owner my entire life. We have yet to have any issue at our other vets office nor have our family members had problems elsewhere. Those who have gone here, however, have all had somewhat the same experiences whether it be recent or in the past. I get our current standards of practice are strung thin due to the pandemic... I empathize... Im dealing with fall out from it through my career... but reputations dont come out of thin air and now that things are settling back to normal thats genuinely not an excuse to provide poor quality of care. Thats directly reflective of management culture and focus... These are our loved ones... practically our children and in mine and my wifes case they ARE our kids. If I experienced this same thing from a human physician, I would be finding a new doctor... Why would I not do the same here? Great, you got paid... but at what cost? Luckily after describing our most recent experience, our other two boys vet was willing to take him on and we will be continuing his care there.

We needed to go in for an emergency visit yesterday for internal issues with our girl and they took great care of her. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We are extremely satisfied with this practice and have decided to keep them as our permanent Vet. Thank you so much for being able to get her right in and explain everything in a way we could understand.

The last time there they cut my dogs nails way too short and I ended up with blood all over my car seat because of it. Dont know if the employee was new or not but weve had nails trimmed before without issue. Other than that we have never had any issues and their prices are fair and the vets are really friendly.

The staff is professional, friendly, very caring for your animals. I rescued 2 adult cats and took them there for free examination. Coming from a shelter the cats had issues!! But the experienced vet knew how to treat them. One of my cats had a biting herself problem, he have her steroid shot and shes good to go. And he called to make sure she was ok. Also the facility is clean! Highly recommend!!!

I want to start this off by saying that the staff here are very kind and accommodating. The free first visit is pretty nice too. However, I took both of my cats to this location several times, and both have had severe, preventable medical emergencies because the doctors here failed to recognize their symptoms and do the appropriate tests. One cat has had breathing problems her whole life, which the staff at VCA Shop City repeatedly dismissed as an upper respiratory infection every single time we brought her in. I took her to another vet today and got a second opinion. Turns out she has very severe asthma and her lungs are extensively mineralized. Some of the damage may be reversible but she will never have full lung function because the issue went untreated for so long. She did not even have symptoms consistent with a URI, and all that was needed for a diagnosis was an xray. She could have died because VCA Shop City failed to recognize this issue and failed do the proper tests. Our second cat had a similar misdiagnosis at VCA Shop City that required a trip to the emergency vet. We will not be returning and we will be warning friends to avoid VCA Shop City Animal Hospital.

Dr DanBoise and her staff have been amazing each time I have visited. Through life (and death unfortunately) both the staff and the Dr have showed compassion, empathy, and understanding. Dr DanBoise takes care of your pet just as if it were one of hers (of which she has many). She takes the time to explain everything so that you understand and always puts your pets quality of life first. Would recommend to family and friends! Thank you for providing quality care for my baby Leela!

Love the staff there, they are very passionate & informative. They do try to be price conscious and give choices in the best treatment with cost-effective options. My adventurous kitty has multiple visits per year (fights and injuries she brings upon herself!) but they are always so kind, and remember my little Easter Bunny from her past visits. Appointments are usually available and she can always be seen right away. Its not a very fancy or luxurious place, but I dont have much to compare it to. I would recommend it if you live near by!

I waited two months for a vet appointment for my Dog. The day before the appointment, VCA called me and asked me to change my appointment from 5 PM to 4:30 PM. I agreed. then on the day of , VCA called me at 10:30 and asked me to come to a 1230 appointment the same day. Can you imagine a two hour notice? If I had done that, I would’ve been charged for an appointment. I declined and now I’m going to find another vet. I’m done with VCA. Too costly anyway as compared to other vets.

The appetizer and salad was good, when we finally got it. My steak tips were way to well done on the outside. If it hadnt taken so long to get the food, I probably would have sent it back. But the waitress was awesome. But she had to do everything. Waitressing and Bartending. Short staffed on a busy night. Not good

Ive visited this location several times now. The staff are pleasant and friendly, and soooo compassionate to the pets they work with! The veterinarian we worked with was honest and up front about the issues and risks our pet was facing, and transparent about prices. I walked away feeling like everyone involved genuinely cared about my pet and I! We will absolutely be returning.

Love them! The doctors are so patient and accommodating with my stubborn Mastiff. The staff is great and all seem to really care about our pets. Thanks Shop City for years of geat care for both of my dogs!

They are friendly, caring and informative. They care about how I feel about my dogs experience. The only reason I dont give it a full 5 stars is because sometimes we have to wait a bit, even with an appt. I also wish it was closer to my house, but I will gladly drive the extra mile for quality veterinarian care that I havent found anywhere else in Syracuse!

My experience with VCA is great. They saved my dogs life when another vet told me it was something more serious and 4 times the money. They were great with helping my other dog and did the best they could in her situation. You are in good care going here.

Was looking for a new vet but they had me wait for over an hour to see the doctor for 2 minutes. Vet tech forgot to give me my records back. They took my pet into the back without me to give him his shot. Whats the point of coming in when I cant be with him the whole time. All in all 100 dollars just to see them. No thanks Ill be staying with my old vet who charges 20 for the same service.

I love this place! Dr. Danvois(spelling?) Is the absolute BEST! Dr. Danvois and her staff treats your pet like they are her own. ALL are very kind and super friendly. Seems like they love what they do. She listens to your concerns and helps you plan the best treatment option according to what you can afford at the time and if anything is too expensive she will talk to you about how long is recommended to wait, for example testing or surgery. If your pet does have surgery she will you text you within a few days to check in on them and if anything is amiss she will give you suggestions or make an appointment to have them checked over. My Zoey(130 pound mastiff mix) has never been treated better by any vet! As long as I live in Syracuse Dr. Danvois will be my baby girls(8 years old) Vet!

My dog was seen as a walk in new patient yesterday and unfortunately was diagnosed with a sudden onset of a grave illness. Dr. Ruff and the rest of the staff was so caring and compassionate to my dog and to me. The time spent with us will never be forgotten. Thank you very much for understanding how painful it was to make the final choices we were faced with.I definitely recommend this practice.

Its convenient but one thing I dont like is it takes forever for them to get you out the door and on your way for even a routine visit. Its almost as if the vet is working on 2 or 3 other pets at the same time as theyre working on your pet. The vet assistant I had today was friendly but timid around my cat who wasnt happy to be there. A vet assistant should be used to unhappy animals and be able to take charge. Quite honestly the only reason I bring one of my cats there is because its so close and she hates riding in a car. My two other cats go to another vet office.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to euthanize my cat. He’s been with me for half of my life. A process which is, hands down, the most difficult step I’ve had to take in my entire life, was made easy by the good doctor and his staff. I’ve never had such empathy from people at a vet, I had so much understanding and guidance and I am forever going to remember the kindness shown to myself and my partner when we had to euthanize our kitty.If you are seeking an amazing, affordable and kind veterinary practice, I would 100000% recommend VCA. They were the most empathic, kind, and ready to help vet in all of Syracuse. Other vets turned me away and down played the suffering of my pet. I highly recommend VCA, they help you provide a quality of life for yourself and your pet.

The vet was very thorough and gentle on my dog who could barely walk. He seemed to really care and explained everything in detail. They also gave a possible treatment list if my dogs symptoms persisted so I would know what I would be charged. Love it

Staff is friendly, clean facility.. but disappointed with actual appointments.. I have brought all my animals here for years, but just recently brought my dog in to speak to the vet about possible surgery.. the vet Didnt even touch my dog and still charged me an exam fee.. next came the potential surgery bill, I was in shock at the amount they were gonna charge..I went to get a second opinion and not only did they quote me a smaller bill amount but the vet actually took her time . Looked at my dog and ran some tests for not even a fraction of the cost !

I just adopted a kitten from HumaneCNY. VCA shop city animal hospital vows in writing and via a certificate to offer a well visit and complimentary follow up care for 9 different issues, one of them being vomiting for up to $250 in coverage. The kitten that isnt even 2lbs vomited Sunday and Monday and is now not playing. She wont eat or drink on her own.I called on a Tuesday after having the kitten for 5 days. They cant see the kitten for 6 more days. This is NOT an emergency, but she does need seen. It is going to become an emergency due to their negligence. Shop City Animal hospital is unable to follow through with its promise to see the kitten for the issues listed. Any animal that has any of the listed issues would need to be seen in a timely fashion or it would become an emergency. If I bring the cat to another vet, it makes the complimentary stuff null and void. This is a scam and they are not to be trusted with their word to provide care to newly adopted animals.

Such an awesome staff here, from the reception, to the nurse, to the vet herself. They really care, and it SHOWS! Which is all a double doggie owner could ever ask for. 🤎🐾💛🐾

Im still very new to the area and after an already strenous week, my cat suddenly stopped eating and drinking well. I called first thing in the morning and they managed to make time for me that afternoon. I was already kinda frazzled, but the front desk attendent(Maura, I believe) was both incredibly professional and incredibly personable. Everyone on staff was incredibly warm and welcoming and explained every aspect of what was going on, from medication to procedures to cost. The vet technician, Melissa I think, performed an extremely thorough check of my cats vitals and noted everything I mentioned. The vet, Dr. Peddinti, did a great walkthrough of what she thought might be wrong, what steps she recommended, and how much everything would be. Ive seen reviews that say that they are a bit slow and, yes, that is true. They are also undergoing some renovations there, so it looks a liitle crazy. But the entire time I was there, I had no doubts that my cat was gettting the absolute best care that he could get. Moving to a new area is hard enough, but Im so glad I came here and found a wonderful veterinary clinic for my Boots!

This place was so compassionate and caring. I had to have my dog put down here but didnt have the money and it wasnt a problem for them. They took excellent care of my girl and still gave me every option and courtesy that I needed in a horrible moment. I wouldnt go anyplace else.

I would honestly give 0 stars for them. They shave dogs that dont need shaving to were there almost bald and when your dog needs stitches out they dont take them all out they left one in and went to another vet that had to take it out I wouldnt recommend anyone to bring their loved fur babies there their unprofessional who leaves a stitch in a dog and say they over looked it. Rude staff and very unprofessional

We adopted a dog from Helping Hounds and received a free visit to this VCA. We had a vet closer to home before, but the visit to VCA was so much better that we have switched to VCA. Doctor D is particularly great. The wait is never terrible, the staff is very friendly and knowledgable.

I liked them when I first brought my rescue there but this last visit I felt the vet and the assistant were talking down to me when explaining about my pet needing to lose weight. Made me and my son feel very uncomfortable this time and we will be looking for a new vet.

Yesterday I called them and scheduled my dog to be euthanized at 10:30am this morning. I am gave them all of the needed information for pricing; evaluation, rabies testing, and to be euthanized. I was priced $364 plus tax and spent last night and this morning spending what I thought was our final moments with the family dog. Upon arriving this morning the price jumped up from $364 to over $750. Do not go to this vets office unless you want to pay more than double of the original quote that was given. They only care about getting paid, not about providing passionate care for the pets and their owners. Thank you VCA Shop City Animal Hospital for leading us to believe these were our final hours with our pet to turn us away once we arrived. Horrible vets office and horrible way to do business. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Took my dog there all of his life. He has an infection what looks like on his groin area they told me to put it on a Benadryl thing I did it butt it did not work. Kind of angry about that there was $100 gone. Butt friendly. Otherwise than my own experience every other experience was good

Since I got a free first exam, I thought I would try Shop City Vet, as its been a little while since my last pet passed away. No problems with my last vet, just Shop City was a little closer to home. So first appointment no problem. I get her everything they say she needs (all vaccinations, flea med, heartworm, whatever they said she needed i said yes). Order refills of meds online through their website no problems. Took her in for nail trim in between. So the following year i get appointment reminder for January, she needs vaccinations. I bring her in. I say yes pay for everything they tell me she needs. I no sooner get home the next week i get another reminder card in the mail with more vaccinations she needs. I think it must be a mistake i just took her there. I ignore it. Then another reminder comes, I call set up another appointment, being her in for more vaccinations. I ask why they werent done at the same visit the month prior, the receptionist says well thats when they were due. Ok shame on me I should have been more responsible and known. So they get me for office visit $ number two. I get everything they tell me I need and tell them I will order the heart guard online through their website. The next week i get a denial from their website they wont fill the script for heart guard. They dont call me, I call them to ask why? She says I need to come back in for a heartworm test!!! Another office visit fee!!! First why didnt they do it while I was there?? They basically said there was a lapse in coverage but had they bothered to ask, my husbands diabetic dog was allergic to his heart guard, so my dog was covered because I used the script from his vet. They should have done the heartworm blood test at the time I was standing there requesting the medication. I would have paid for blood test at that time. I dont know if this is deceptive billing practices or just poor office management. Either way Im not paying for a third office visit in as many months. Ill go back to a more organized veterinary office that schedules yearly vaccinations at the same time.

Poor experience. Ridiculous cost. Poor follow through. I utilized another vet within a month who did more tests and treatment and amazing explanation for less than 30% of what shop city was going to charge. Do not use this vet.

Wonderful!! Staff were friendly and courteous, and Dr. Heather Danboise is a Godsend!! I went in with a list of questions and she and the tech took their time addressing all my concerns. Very happy with my experience!!

Tonight I took my kitty for an examination and shots. First there was a scent of total cleanliness. My Bella was scared. The staff and Dr H were wonderful. Lots of tenderness at this animal hospital

My dog was recently diagnosed by their team with diabetes. The doctor gave me the news and told me to call back with next steps.A few hours later I called to find out what to do next and no response that day.The next morning I called again. “She’s busy all day, I will leave an urgent message for her”Then my dog started acting funny so I got worried. I called again and she was still too busy.When she finally did call back she told me to bring him in within half an hour or go to the ER.I couldn’t make it that fast so I tried asking her what to look for and all she would say is go to the ER.Then her assistant called me later that night to “urge” me to go to the ER without evening listening to what I was saying about my dogs symptoms.So, I called the ER and they told me not to bring him in and gave me a list of things to pay attention to.This was 5 days ago. Not once has the doctor followed up to see how my dog was. To set up an appointment to get insulin. To see if he made it to the ER. Nothing.We are 7 days since testing and he still is not on meds. Thankfully, I have an appointment with a new practice tomorrow.Don’t bring your dog here.

This will be a long review, so buckle up!5 stars hands down,Sunday (August 11) one of my cats started acting really strange.Bio: I’d rescued her at 4 weeks old from under a friends porch(after a week of trying to catch the mother to get her spay so we stopped finding kittens each year)In the last two years she has been my shadow, she was by my side through a pregnancy and bringing home my daughter you would have thought she was a guard dog she never left her side.In the last two years there hasn’t been one single night she hasn’t woken me up in the middle of the night to climb in and snuggle up.Sunday, everything changed. She was hiding and looked just down right hurting/sick. When she started throwing up I knew she wasn’t alright. A hair tie was in her puke.I did research online all Sunday evening on where to bring her Monday morning and I decided on VCA Shop City and I will FURREVER be so thankful I did.The entire staff was incredible, kind and compassionate. I never once felt alone, the Veterinary that I saw was Doctor Moell, now I’m sure every doctor at the clinic is amazing but Doctor Moell truly went above and beyond any vet I have ever met with before.He sat on the floor with me while I was in tears knowing that my little kitty may not be coming home with me because I could not afford the surgery to save her life, he didn’t give up though and neither did his staff. The X-ray technician reached out to a clinic in Watertown that did a different type of procedure called an endoscopic where they go in with a scope. They gave her fluids to try to help pass the hair ties that were stuck in her intestines and pain medicine for comfort for the night ahead of her.The next morning Doctor Moell had me come back for a second X-ray free of charge to see if the fluid had helped at all and it had! Which was a glimmer of hope. He contacted Watertown and they squeezed me in, I got in my car and flew to Watertown.It gets better people don’t stop reading yet I’m almost done!My little kitty was saved by another amazing doctor at VCA North Country Animal Hospital and if it weren’t for Doctor Moell and his technician I truly do not think little Scarlett would be home with me nowDoctor Moell even called me the night of the procedure after hours to see how scarlett was doing!I will not be seeing any other veterinary offices and I suggest you give this one a try I highly doubt you’ll regret it :)

They are a very loving respectful kind staff , they took very good care of my one year old cat that had to get put down and went above and beyond when I picked up his ashes . I still go to them with my new kitten. I highly recommed going to them I will not go to a other vet unless a emergency and this vet is closed .

I have gone to this Animal Hospital twice. Every staff member that Ive come in contact with has been friendly to myself and my dog and seems to have a genuine interest in my dogs health and well being. Their prices are very reasonable and they provide quality care. I would recommend Shop City to anyone.

We had to put down our 14 year old cat nov 19th, it was a very difficult decision, for 2 days I was asking myself who am I to play god, but realized it was best for the cat. The hospital personnel were very aware of our emotions, and did everything they could to ease our pain. I just dont understand why it is soooooo expensive to put our pet down.

They tried amputating my puppies arm when she was four months old because I didnt have 500 dollars up front for the x-ray. Think because she was a pitbull. Worst people I ever met in my life.

There are manhy positives about VCA hospital...the staff is professional, curteous, and helpful. I gave two stars as I had 2 experiences that could have been easily avoidable if the vet had given me a heads up about the side effects of the anathesia after the neuter, and the side effect from a steroid shot. I think it is important to educate the pet owner on what to expect when they go home. Both times I was up all night with.a crying puppy as he was in pain and discomfort from coming off the anethesia. and the steroid made him pee frequently and in large amounts. every 15 to 30 min he emptied his bladder for a good 5 days, and I dont know how long this will last. I thought I was craking up and didnt know if it was physical or behavioral. He is only 5 mos. and I am a first time puppy owner. Had I been thoroughly informed, it would have saved me a lot of worry, grief, and anger.

Dr Moel was wonderful and is experienced. He saved our cat Abby she had the biggest Pyometra Cyst he had ever seen in such a small animal. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for saving her little life to Dr. Moel and the staff at VCA !!

I was using vca services with our kitty since almost 2 year when was adopted from the streets. Was spay there almos t a year ago despite the overprice insurance payments. Today my kitty is heat again due to a poor or not enough carefull procedure. Im extremely unsatisfied. Dont recomend to anyone. They are just compasionate leaches.

Recently switched to this facility after going to Liverpool Veterinarian or possibly may be called Liverpool Veterinarian Hospital ... ? (Located on Route 57 / Oswego Road - just up the street from Seneca Mall)Myself as well as my parents have been going to this Facility for 13 years and they have treated at least 6 - 8 of the family Dogs over those years.The staff is... Acceptable. But thats about the extent of the way they seemed to treat there clients.... UNLESS OF COURSE - YOUR WEALTHY & NEVER Face a situation of difficult financial Times and when you do and ask for any type of help with financial crisis or anything related- well... Tried to book an appt online for my new dog. Gave two options for days and times. Did not get a call back to confirm. Notice they actually respond to negative reviews so maybe I’ll get a response this way.

My rating isn’t because of the vet. It’s the staff and the time we spent waiting for our pets to receive their annual vaccinations. We were at this vets office for 1.45 hours to get 2 shots!!!!

We had our dog spayed and chipped @ VCA. The staff was friendly and compassionate. We were refeered by Helping Hounds.A very positive experience.

Best care Ive ever received for my cats. I had a sickly cat, and no other vet reasearched into his problem. I recommend Dr. Honeyset, however, all the vets are very knowledgable.

Animal hospital call across America Geneva have animal health care or something to help the animals in the family before when the dog or cat is injured or problems with pregnancies we like to keep $5,000 to our $7,000 dogs cuz we spending $we spending good money for our animals so yes we do need some type of way of taking care of them that we can afford do something and thats why I say animal hospital or trash yeah give us two much high prices

Extremely disappointed that I, a regular customer, called with a potential emergency only to be told they are booked solid and my dog cannot be seen. With bloody diarrhea and straining to make a bowel movement (possible signs of an intestinal blockage that can be deadly) my dog was rejected in favor of scheduled physicals, etc. Cancel my account, shes now going to her new vet who was booked, too. But they know this is potentially critical and told me to be there in an hour.

Dr.Gupta and the whole staff there are amazing!! They have showed nothing but care and compassion towards our little guy Dutch. It felt liked they cared since minute 1 in there. I would definitely recommend here to anyone and everyone.

I had a great experience there today. In addition to physical assessment, they were able to biopsy the area of concern on our dog and provide an answer all in the same visit. The cost was reasonable and the care was excellent.

The Doctor Honeyset is excellent and you know he cares about your pet. He always calls back if you need to speak with him about anything. I feel they have more years experience to offer in the way of knowledge for your pet. They have seen more over their years and it is very nice to be able to speak with an old school Doctor. The front staff is very helpful as well.

Love live love this place, and with a passion. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are the most reasonable I found anywhere, and believe me I called around. I took my cat there when he was having trouble with his teeth. They could easily have charged me for more than they actually did, I would never have known, but fortunately they didnt do that, they made sure I understood everything that was going on, and explained it all thoroughly. They were very kind when I had a million questions, they were very compassionate. I highly recommend to anyone.

Treated my sweet Bing like a little princess

My three dogs have been patients of Shop City for years. When we adopted Rocky almost ten years ago from the CNYSPCA he had his neuter done at Shop City and we were not happy with the vet we were using so we switched since we had a good experience with Rocky. The staff and the vets are very nice and knowledgeable. We do usually have to wait but I think they are busy with emergencies very often. I know if it was one of my dogs and the office was open and it was an emergency I would not hesitate to go straight over there.

One of the Receptionist is so rude. You know which one it is as soon as you walk in. Just constantly talking s***

Ive been with vca care club at shop city animal hospital sense june paying $84 bucks a month wich is more than sum human insurance.But hey im a furr mom and i love my baby.In the beginning they where great but come to find out months down the line they are not a reliable pet care facility.i Barely take her to the vet unless its for her shots a check up or something wrong etc.now she is limping very bad and i called while they where open i got a call two hrs after they closed.so they tell me to bring her in on the 9th the 9th after me telling them shes limping badly.then the woman proceeds to tell me if i feel its that bad take her to a 24 hr vet.well guess what i dont have the money because it went to them.And do to the pandemic im out of work.so i dont have funds on hand to go just anywhere had i have saved the money i give them every month id have money to do so.so now that my dog is in need i cant turn to them .what is the purpose of me paying this $84bucks a month? Its bull i wouldnt recommend vca careclub to anyone its trash
