Plush Spa

I took my puppy(Bichon/poodle mix) here for the first time yesterday, and we are very happy with the experience. He looks amazing, and the staff was extremely friendly! We cant wait until our next visit :)

I moved back to NY a few months ago and I’ve taken my dog twice now after being referred by a friend. I live about 30+ minutes away, but I figured it was worth it for a good groomer. They’re not great at answering the phone and getting a hold of someone can be a challenge. For the first appointment, I think our groomer’s name was Riley and she did a great job, so I planned on taking him back again.Today was supposed to be our second appointment (an express groom again). I called yesterday to confirm the appointment and after playing phone tag, I spoke with someone who verified that there would be no issue with doing the express groom; I wanted to make sure everything was all set before making the 30+ minute drive. Upon arrival today, we had a different groomer than last time (I failed to specify that I wanted the same groomer). The new groomer told me she couldn’t do an express groom. I explained how I spoke with someone on the phone yesterday who confirmed it, and she told me “well I don’t know who you spoke with, but it wasn’t me, and I wasn’t here.” I asked how long it would take if it wasn’t an express groom, and she claimed it would take 3-4 hours to do my 17 pound dog. My dog is never crated and typically only takes 60-90 minutes to be groomed, so I wasn’t comfortable with having him crated for 3 hours. She was polite for the most part and apologized, but it’s still unacceptable considering I spoke with someone who confirmed everything less than 24 hours ago. I don’t understand how there was a mixup since they schedule appointments through a computer system. She offered a reschedule for tomorrow at 8am, but I decided to call back (left a voicemail) and just cancel after the unprofessionalism. I will not be taking my dog back again.

0 stars for me i only picked 1 star so i could post this. I went online to book an appointment for my chow chow for a bath and haircut. They charged me 17.95$ just to hold the appointment. Then, 2 days later, they sent me a text asking if it was just a bath or a haircut too? So I said both. Then they responded hours later saying they werent taking new clients (which was a lie because they just started seeing my moms dog for grooming) I believe they saw chow chow and decided they didnt want to work with my baby. So silly me, I assumed they would refund me the 17.95$. Now Im not cheap by anymeans and if anything I tip very generously for my girls grooming (they missed out on good money). So after a week went by, I texted that number back and asked about my refund. They said nothing back until I threatened to leave a bad Google review. They told me they had a busy week and their system would refund me soon. Its been almost a month and no refund. So guess what Im done and leaving a bad review. I cant judge their grooming skills because I never got that far, but their communication and business skills are god awful. I highly do NOT recommend plush spa. Terrible experience and terrible communication terrible buisness!!!!!!

I started going to Plush spa about a year ago after our groomer suddenly stopped taking clients and I cant say enough good things about them. It is very clean and my dog comes out looking perfect every time. She is a goldendoodle and has had some bad cuts in the past, but not here! They are also very reasonably priced.

Like a lot of dogs, my Pomeranian never was excited to go to the groomers until we met Abby from Plush spa. I love the way she shapes his hair, trims back the hair on his paws and leaves his tail all fluffy! Since we’ve been going there, he hasn’t had any more dreadlocks and I can comb his hair easily to keep up with the maintenance. This spa for dogs is very accommodating to my schedule and to my animal friend. He comes home smelling fresh and looking brand new. I wish they offered more… like doggie play dates. It is slightly more expensive than other places I’ve taken my Pom but he does not give me a hard time about going to this place.

Great job on my Poodle Tallulah! She has been going since she was a pup. Amazing prices too! Best grooming salon I’ve ever been to, their staff are so friendly and will forever have my business!!

My pup has always been afraid of the groomer, never wanting to go in, and always running straight to me, trying to pull me out of the building as soon as the appointment was over. When I brought him in to Plush Spa, it was no different. But when I picked him up, he was like a completely new dog!! He had warmed up to the groomers and was honestly paying me no mind at all 😂 made me want to cry because we have been trying for so long to find the right groomer.They clearly care about the pups and know how to treat them. 10/10 would recommendHis face says it all 🥹

As usual my girls came out of their spa day soft, clean, smelling great and happy. Always a pleasure taking them to Plush Spa.

If i could rate 0 stars i would. I took my dog here for the first time about a week ago. They charged me double of what i usually pay. It was $80 for a 20 pound dog for a hair cut, nails cut, and a bath. i asked if they could cut his hair as short as they could i just didn’t want him completely shaved. He definitely smelled good when i picked him up but that was the only difference i could see. his hair looked a little more even and i could tell some was taken off of his stomach but other than that it didn’t look like they took any hair off at all. i told them he really needed around his neck cut and they didn’t even touch his neck. they didn’t cut one of his nails which caused his paw to get an infection. if you want to get overcharged for basically just a bath you could give your dog at home then i definitely recommend this place.

I took my 2 dogs to plush spa for the first time. I was able to get an appointment within a day which was great! I was nervous as our younger dog has anxiety around new places and people. They kept him with them when he wasn’t being groomed because he wasn’t tolerating the crate. He paid no attention to me when I got there and wanted to stay with his new friends. They took great care of my pups and they looked and smelled great when they were done.

I am very happy with this grooming facility. They make things very easy and fast and they take great care of my puppy. They did an amazing job for my fluffy girl! Already set up another appointment!

Kind staff and well priced service. They do an excellent job with my Aussie-Doodle! Just make sure to double check the date you book, I showed up once and they scheduled the wrong date.

Very pleased to have found Plush Spa! Not only did Abby gave Sadie a great bath, but she also took care to make Sadie comfortable by putting her in a quiet spot, given her anxiety around other dogs. We will be back!

I brought my Havanese Tanner in for his introductory grooming session back in November as a 4mo. old puppy and then back @5 mo. for his first full grooming appt. yesterday. He never hesitated as we walked thru the door , and came home looking beautiful. I am so very pleased with the pre groom info session given to ease my worries and then seeing the fantastic job done by Alanna. He looks so very handsome for all his upcoming holiday pics & posts .Thank you to the staff at Plush🐾

Jett had a couple ear mats with one being significant and it was of no concern to them and they reassured me. They did a great job and fast!

Absolutely love Plush Spa! They always seem to go the extra mile showing both my dogs love and patience. Its always a positive experience when we bring our dogs in. Their pricing is fair, their work is tremendous and most importantly, I feel my dogs are in safe hands. Thank you Julianna and team for loving Honey and Bear just like we do!

We love Plush! Staff is always friendly. They’ve been very accommodating in terms of one of our more ornery dogs who doesn’t like to be groomed and they always dote on our little harem of goblins.I once thought one of the pups had a tick and called plush. They said I could bring him in asap and even stayed a few minutes past closing so I could make it there & offered to remove it with no charge. It wasn’t a tick, but regardless, you can tell how much they love pets. This is the best place around ❤️

Juliana and her crew (shout out to Karley) are through, friendly, patient, kind and punctual. The only place I take my dog when Im not the one doing the care. Best in CNY by far.

I have tried several groomers but am happiest with Plush Spa.My Springer has some wavy fur which others seemed to have difficulty with but not Plush Spa. I am so very pleased!!!

Plush Spa is extremely accommodating and courteous! Today I showed up with my pup thinking her appointment was today. It was not! It is not until tomorrow! MY Mistake but they took her anyway. This is not our first visit. We have been coming for months. Everyone we have had with our girl Indie has been so kind, and goes above and beyond to make sure indie is looking and smelling her best. All while still catering to her individual needs! I could not recommend them enough!

Id like to start by saying, the staff has historically been very friendly. Particularly the receptionists. I moved here about a 1.5 years ago and I found plush spa. I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a long-haired dog that requires substantial grooming. The first 5-6 times I had grooming done here were great. The groomer would always come out and talk to me, and go over the plans for cutting my pups hair.The last 4 times Ive gone to Plush, Ive been let down. Theres been some staff turnover and that likely has something to do with it. Last week was my last visit. The groomer refused to come have a chat with me -- I wouldve waited, but Im sure she was busy and Im no Karen-- so instead I played this weird game of telephone through the door via the receptionist. I asked that they cut my pups hair as short as they could while keeping his undercoat safe -- I think I said Please, please, please dont be afraid to cut it, he spends a lot of time outside. Two hours later, he had a light trim. My partner and friend didnt even notice that his hair was cut. At 100 dollars a groom, I dont mind paying for quality work, but I perceived the grooming as them not wanting to spend the time.If you have a short-haired dog or are just looking for a quick shave, this will be a good option. But if youre looking for someone to take the time on grooming, may not be the right choice.

Did a great job de-matting my puppy whose previous owner neglected him. Took about 3/4 hours. However, they left a long ponytail that kept bothering him so my fiancé trimmed it down a bit but the hair still bothers him. Think the whole tail could’ve been left alone or all shaven off. The staff was kind!

I am extremely pleased. Its a clean, friendly atmosphere. My dog looks great. The staff is very knowledgeable as well.

We found Juliana during covid and she was fantastic! We knew we found our groomer for life! Her and Ellie had an immediate love affair 💖We ended up having to move 45 minutes north but still bring Ellie down for her grooming every six weeks. They are so worth the trip and more! Thanks for keeping our Muppet pretty!!

I took my 6 month old Sheltie, Bandit for his first groom today. They were very friendly and did a nice job. Its very clean and open in there. My previous dog groomer, who I had for years, has retired, so this was a new experience for me. I was very pleased, and scheduled his next appointment. Im a hairstylist in Nedrow, and will definitely refer my pet parent clients to them.

Gabby was very accommodating getting my long hair kitty groomed and bathed, being patient with the fluffy one wanting to explore a new place, and dealing with the first time grooming experience squirming around.

I just put my nose into my freshly groomed dog and she’s ever so slightly scented and very silky. Her nails look great and the groomer treated her feet with paw wax at my request. Their new reservation and payment system is great and everyone is always friendly and pleasant. Truly a great local business and highly recommended.

Plush Spa is a 10 I love how my havanese Yoshi looks after a session with Julianna shes definitely the BEST 👌 I would recommend everyone ❤️

Maddie was wonderful with my nervous Pomeranian mix rescue. I communicated that my dog was going to be shy and might be scared of getting her paws touched and Maddie was able to handle her with no problem. My dog smells amazing, her nails look great and her haircut is just as I imagined. Plus, the price is competitive to places like PetSmart and Petco for a way better experience. We will absolutely be back!

Finding a groomer for a cat is not easy but Plush Spa has hired a perfect groomer in Gabby. Our Princess is a long haired cat who gets a lot of mats. She has been called feisty and worse by other groomers. Even our vet says she needs to be on anxiety medicine. However Gabby was able to bathe her, de-mat her, and clip her nails. And best of all? She said Princess was very well behaved. Thank-you Gabby for taking such good care of our girl.

Friendly staff, convenient location. Our dog is always excited to go in and she has come out with a beautiful cut each time.

As everyone knows, Akitas are not everyones best friends. But I have 5 of them. They had thier bath and nails and blowouts done so fast and look completely fantastic! I will definitely be coming back here! The photo is one of my boys looking stellar! ❤

It’s a real spa for dogs and they give your pet top notch spa treatment. Calm clean environment. I love that you can see what’s going on, most groomers take your dog to the back and u can’t see what they do. Tiki Boo (Toy Pug) usually needs Gabapentin before appointments for anxiety but has not needed it since going to Plush Spa. She loves the staff!! They make sure all her wrinkles and creases are thoroughly cleaned, nails are properly cut down without bleeding. Her coat is shining and she smells amazing.Tiki is a 13 yr old pug, I like her to be really clean and well groomed all the time so I take her at least 1x month. BEST GROOMER I have ever experienced!!!!!!! 💯🤩♥️♥️#5Stars

My dog used to be so scared to go to the groomers there were red flags!! I moved and came across Plush Spa, and he loves going they are amazing, and they are so good with him!! I am so happy that they treat him like their own pet when I drop him off. I know he is in good hands. And that alone eases my mind. I would highly recommend

Madison and her coworkers were so polite and gentle with my 50 pound hound who was afraid of his own shadow today. they scooted him right in comfortably and assured him while they trimmed his nails and he came out happier than ever. third visit and they always get us right in and always a pleasure.

Highly recommend I just brought my pup Sophie there for the first time and Molly was amazing! They accommodated me last minute as Im 40 weeks pregnant and unable to give her a bath myself. The place itself is super clean and made me feel really great about leaving her there.Also my dog gets a bit nervous about being groomed and they did a great job making her feel calmWill be a returning client!

I had taken my dog here several times over the past year for grooming and always had a great experience. Because of this, I decided to try their boarding services as I had travel plans for the end of September. I called ahead of time to get more information about boarding and the person I spoke with was understanding that I was anxious (and my dog had never been boarded before) and gave me an overview of what it included, such as each dog who was being boarded having someone assigned to them, as well as someone who stays on the premises when dogs are staying overnight.On the day of dropping him off for a trial night before the longer stay, I met Gretchen who said she would be in charge of his boarding stay. She assured me he’d be fine, they’d take several walks for them to bond and I could call or text to check-in whenever, and typically they send updates and pictures. This was around 1pm.At 6:12pm, I texted the spa number for an update since I hadn’t heard from Gretchen or anyone at Plush Spa. No answer. I tried to call at 6:49pm, with no answer so I left a message. I was at a wedding about 40 minutes away at this time and was starting to worry. When heading home a little after 10, I decided to stop by the spa to see if a car was there and if anyone actually stayed. No car and the place was completely dark. I was worried sick the whole night. I decided to head over early (7:20am) before my scheduled 9am pickup time to see if anyone came out to walk the dogs, that maybe someone stayed and didn’t have a car in the lot. Around 8:30am, another associate (not Gretchen who was assigned to his care) came out and handed my dog over to me. I immediately asked her about what happened with updates or being able to call, as I received no update and couldn’t reach anyone. She said she would call Gretchen to see what happened. Gretchen didn’t answer her phone, so never received any sort of explanation. Essentially, my dog had been locked up since at least 6:12pm the night before, since I never got a response or call from that time on. The attendant assured me he wasn’t left in the dark, but I was furious my dog was left locked up alone for almost 14 hours. She did not charge me, as she understood why I was upset and would be too if something like that happened with her dog. I feel like I was ultimately misled on what their process was and would’ve never booked boarding here if I knew that this is what it entailed.Unfortunately, I will not be bringing him back for any grooming or other services here, as I was shocked at how carelessly he was treated for one night of boarding. I’m glad this was just for a one-night trial and not the longer, few days trip. My dog is my family and I was absolutely sick over putting him in such a stressful situation.

Only place I’d take my naughty dog to. They understand what style I want and they’re fast. Coco looks great each time I pick him up!

Prompt, efficient and most importantly kind and loving with my dog. Fiona is squeaky clean, smells good and her toenails are trimmed perfectly. Highly recommend.

We have been going to Plush Spa with our rambunctious puppy and they are always so patient with him. When he comes home he smells amazing and looks so cute! They all do such a wonderful job, taking their time to make our little guy look adorable. It is without a doubt that they love animals and they treat them like their own family pet, which we really value. We love Plush Spa!! And would recommend them to anyone that wants a good groomer experience.

We have just started taking our small dogs to Plush Spa and thus far we are quite pleased. Very nice groomers, you can tell they care for the dogs that come in for grooming. We had very bad experiences with several groomers in our area, so finding Plush Spa was a big relief, we can leave our dogs knowing they will be safe and groomed beautifully.

I just brought my pup there for the first time today after a bad experience somewhere else. I really appreciate the fact that Juliana took the time to discuss with me at length what my wants and expectations were from the appointment and then made sure I was happy before we left. It’s abundantly clear that Juliana and her staff take pride in what they do, and honestly care about their customers. I had no hesitation in setting up another appointment with her, and Monty was all smiles while we were there and after we left. 🐾

We took our four months pup to her first grooming. Julianas service was utmost professional, efficient and assuring. It could be difficult handing your dog into the care of others, but Juliana and her colleagues were extremely communicative and skilled. Needless to say we will be coming back for Bubus regular grooming services. Thank you Plush SPA.

Absolutely love Plush Spa! My dad found Juliana when the mobile grooming truck was it. We used the service for both of our pups for a while. The shop is just as convenient for us, and is a gorgeous location. It’s clean, the decor is adorable, and the feel inside is that of a high end salon. I request to keep my shih tzu puppy looking like a stuffed animal and Plush Spa delivers every time. Luca loves his visits to Plush Spa. Can’t recommend them enough! This is a crew of true animal lovers!😍❤️

My two big handfuls were not a handful for them. Tried them out because I heard they were great with big dogs. Wonderful service and staff. Made me feel like.... they love my boys the same way I do. If you havent tried them out yet...what are you waiting for?

I have a nervous anxious pup (2.5years old, 20lbs) who has previously had a very bad grooming experience that left her traumatized. But unfortunately she’s a pup that needs regular grooming. I originally sought this place out because I thought they were a mobile groomer. They are not, but do offer a service called express grooming, which satisfied my needs! From my very first communications with the owner, through FB and on the phone,I was very impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. Our first grooming experience today went very well and I already booked our next appointment. So glad to find this place. Alana did a great job with my pup 🐾❤️UPDATE Second visit: I really can’t say enough good things about Alana. She does such a good job with my pup!! I love Plush Spa!

I don’t know where to start. I spent awhile trying to find somewhere that would take a young St Bernard that was just over 130lbs.They happily took him and his fur and his problems (protective and some hot spots) they were able to shave down the area and get him nice and clean. The following appointment I bought my Great Dane and I was so happy to see the difference when I picked them up. The staff is always super friendly and understanding. I’ve made future arrangements for all five of the dogs to make it up there. Definitely worth the hour drive!

Juliana was amazing. She was prompt and had an immediate connection with our Ellie. She took the time to make sure we were on the same page for style expectations. Seeing the look of happiness when Ellie was done was all we needed to book our next years worth of appointments! I recommend to anyone with a pup who gets anxious going to the groomers. Having it done at the house helped make the experience easy and enjoyable for all involved! 👏👏👏

Awesome service provided to my trio of huskies, groomed ENTIRELY THROUGH (Brush, Bath, Nails) which you won’t always find at other places. Groomers are super friendly and accommodating and I recommend anyone who cares to get their dogs groomed correctly goes to Plush.

Wonderful trip to the spa for grooming with two 13yr old mini schnauzers. One that is very difficult to groom. They looked great and happy! We booked a follow-up visit. The staff is welcoming and friendly.

We have two dogs, a large bullmastiff and Rottweiler mix. They’re very sweet dogs but hate having their nails done. Plush Spa did a fabulous job and were able to get both dogs done and they looked great. Making an appointment was easy with a short wait time.

Plush spa always goes above and beyond for us. We have a super anxious berna-doodle. She always looks wonderful. You can tell they truly care about each pet.

We’ve been using Plush Spa since the Pandemic started. She came to us in her van and now that she has her shop the care she gives is even better. I’m not sure how she topped the care she’s always given to our babies! I highly recommend her for your pets needs!

I own an Olde English Bulldog. This is a bully breed and is rather massive/large that can be intimidating. Petco, PetSmart, and all small groomers in the greater Syracuse area could not provide service for my rescue. 5 groomers could not safely restrain Butch and asked me never to return to their chain of business.Sadly, we were considering putting Butch to Sleep. No professional could help us maintain our dog. It got so bad he could not walk and all he needed was his nails clipped .Im his owner/protector, 6 feet, 200lbs, grown man, and I could not hold him down as my wife tried to clips his nails.As a last ditch effort, I tried Plush. I was shocked I did not have to wait 1 week to be seen. They actually had the correct equipment to properly restrain Butch which allowed the groomer to clip his nails in under a minute.I had to hold back tears. I was shocked how easy and fast they made it. When it came time to cash out, the price was jaw dropping low.Most professional groomer for miles on miles in any direction. Very professional, clean, and welcoming. Dont even think of going anywhere else. They saved the life of my best friend & family member: Butch. Forever grateful!!!!

I reached out to this company last minute, my husky needed some love SO bad. His coat was grown out and out of control. She answered promptly and squeezed me in after 6pm, which is perfect for me working until 5pm. Kota (my husky) is so well behaved, so of course he loved her and she loved him right back!!!! She is stuck with me and my fur babies now! If you’re looking for professional, reliable, and loving care for your pet then this is the company for you. Thank you so much!!

UPDATE: They were having issues with Spectrum and we are kind enough to resolve everything. Offered a free groom, but honestly we’re just happy to have our groomer back! :)We wanted to support local, and our Peekapoo loved going here for grooming the first two times. However, we’ve been trying to schedule a third appt and we’ve essentially been ghosted by the groomer who didn’t respond to our texts over the last week. In desperation, we tried to call the number listed on Google just in case she changed numbers. But, there was no answer there either, and the voicemail box isn’t set up yet. I’d much rather the company say they don’t want to work with my pup then leave us in the dark, but continue to post on their company Instagram. Unfortunately, we’ll be looking elsewhere.

Juliana is a first class groomer! You can tell how she loves your animals just by her demeanor. She talks to them in a very soothing and loving way. She grooms exactly to your expectations for your animal, is efficient, reasonable and reliable. Thank you Juliana!

On 1/12/22 we brought our dog Bella there for the first time for her nails clipped and a bath. She came back and seemed off. She kept holding her paw up not putting any pressure on it but we thought nothing of it. Today (1/13/22) she was doing the same thing so I started to check her paw out and this is what I found.

Juliana has done a fantastic job with grooming our Yorkie! Best haircut hes ever had, would recommend.

They are fantastic with my golden doodle, whos a rescue and anxious with being groomed.They ensure hes prepared for the weather during all seasons and even give him clean feet and face, making sure hes able to have great hygiene with as little day to day fuss as possible as he dislikes having to be brushed with longer hair.Wonderfully professional, patient, curteous, and kind with the pets and owners.

We called and set up our first appointment for our 18lb Pomsky. Our dog normally needs mild anxiety medicine when she gets groomed, we told the groomer the same. They told us to not give her anything before and that they wanted to get to know her first. Fine, no big deal and I get that logic.Turns out our dog struggled and ended up getting bitey with the groomer, when I picked her up, I got saddled with a hidden special handling fee because of her behavior. We literally told them this would happen and that she needed to be medicated ahead of time. I dont know if that fee was hidden in the small text on the intake paperwork but it certainly wasnt vocalized until the end when it was time to pay. Felt like they pulled a fast one. Ended up costing 120 bucks for what ended up being a shampoo and nail trim for an 18lb dog.UPDATE: Juliana (owner) reached out and she said not being told during the grooming that our dog was being challenging wasnt acceptable and that we should have been notified before we arrived to pick up our dog that we would be charged so we could have the option to just come pick her up.She is giving us a fuil refund. So while we wont be returning, management was super understanding and empathetic, for that Ive raised my review from 1 to 4 stars.

Friendly fast service

I filled out their silly intake form on their website and it’s pointless. They don’t have the sense to email, call back or answer the phone. Small town things, moving here from a large city has been a difficult adjustment and places like this are the reason why small towns stay small.

Looking for a professional groomer? Look elsewhere! Plush Spa is a joke. We switched from a big box pet store to support local and we made a big mistake putting our trust in Plush Spa. We’ve been taking our dog here for a couple years now and have never had an experience like this. We are very specific with how our dog gets trimmed and it’s never been a problem before. When we dropped him off, we went over the details and thought it would be another regular visit. We got a text letting us now our dog was ready and we paid and tipped before seeing him… all because that’s what Plush Spa requests. Big red flag looking back. We get there and realize they’ve done the complete opposite of what we’ve asked for. He’s got long hair where we asked for it short and short hair where we have never once asked for it to be cut back. We are baffled. It looks like a child found scissors and the dog was the unfortunate target. When we tried to address our concerns with the manager, she became defensive and refused to admit any wrongdoing. Basically, finding any excuse to blame us. She wouldn’t even give us the tip back, let alone a refund. We will never return here and look forward to warning others.
