Not sure who loves Leah more, my dogs or me 😂 My “kids” LOVE going on sniffaris with her and always try to go again as soon as they are done. I don’t trust anyone walking Benny as he can be leash reactive and she does so great with him. She will give you some feedback after their walk and let you know what they did, liked, and/or worked on. You get pictures and check ins while they are out. I would suggest Leah to anyone! The excitement my dogs show once they see her, or her car, says it all 💞

My family had the best experience with Leah! I have two very high energy dogs, and one can be quite reactive! We worked on loose leash walking and socializing! Leah is an incredible dog trainer, who not only trains your dogs, but trains you how to be the best pet owner you possibly can be. She has an immense amount of respect for the dogs and is extremely patient with the owners. She will come to your house to help you or meet at nearly any location! I would recommend her and her business to anyone and everyone who is looking for simple training or complex training for their dogs. 10/10!

Leah is THE BEST!!! Since Optimus started working with Leah on his reactivity and anxiety in new places, he has improved drastically, has more confidence, and is able to go on more adventures. Leah treats Optimus like her own dog and makes sure to spend ample time with him each session. She has been accommodating to our schedules and coordinates training sessions that are most beneficial for Optimus. Leah provides confidence not only to Optimus but to us as we work on learning how to support Optimus. We would recommend Leah to anyone who is struggling with their dog or just working on basic training.

Leah has been amazing to work with, and weve seen a ton of progress since we started our program. We adopted Max and quickly realized that we needed help to work through leash reactivity, which shes helped immensely with. Leah is understanding and flexible, and Max LOVES her. Were excited to continue working with her and are very thankful that we found her.

Leah is absolutely wonderful! We met Leah when we were seeking training for our first golden retriever when he was a puppy in 2016. Fast-forward to 2024, and she is currently assisting us with the training of our new golden puppy. Training dogs can seem so daunting, but Leah has taught us that it is not that difficult of a process if you truly take the time to put what you’ve learned into practice. We are so grateful for Leah and all of her expertise and patience with us and our dogs.

I could not be more pleased with the outcome of Leahs service in training my two year old rescue mix dog. Leahs patience and obvious understanding and affection for dogs is a quality that stands out. In addition, her patience and understanding of myself as an owner was equally effective. Leah has provided me with the tools and strategies which have transfromed the behaviors that I previously struggled with with my dog. We love Leah and so does our dog! Shes great with him and did a great job teaching us how to train him. We make sure to always sign our dog up for Sniffaris with Leah and he is always thrilled when she shows up to our house. Highly recommend!

We have a rescue with a significantly traumatic history, including someone shooting her with birdshot, and Leah has worked wonders. As a trainer, she is immensely patient, understanding, observant and professional.After a few intro lessons, Leah quickly tailored the training to meet our pups needs, and the change has been remarkable.Loose leash walking has become the norm, reactivity is becoming much more manageable, and weve learned so much as pet parents.I highly recommend reaching out to Leah, you wont be disappointed.

Leah has been nothing short of amazing! Our 6 month old puppy has learned so much. Her Play & Train sessions with Finn are awesome and he enjoys learning with her. He is confident now in all types of situations, he listens well, he is happy and thriving. Leah has trained us to train him! She is patient with both dogs and humans alike. Her videos make following up with lessons so much easier to understand. We can’t say enough about her!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I have been working with Leah for since December from day care training to private lessons with her in our home and out in the community. Leah is the sweetest person ever and truly cares for your pup! I’ve seen such improvements over time that have truly helped our puppy and us be able to do a lot more things! Leah is the best! She’s helped me with both of my dogs over the last few years. They respond so well to her positive reinforcement training and she really takes the time to get to know them and create a training plan. My one dog needed a ton of help with basic training when we first adopted him and later on with his non existent leash manners. I now get compliments from strangers about how great he is. My other dog has been making progress with leash and dog reactivity and it’s been amazing to see her build confidence. It’s clear Leah loves what she does and my dogs love working with her too.

This is my second dog that Leah has helped train. She did such an amazing job of working with my first dog who was afraid of everything. He now can confidently go anywhere with us and has grown so much! She is currently working with our newer pup and the progress we have seen with her help is wonderful. Leah trains, problems solves and provides helpful feedback in such a great way. There is nothing like watching your dog grow and blossom so much. I know without Leah’s help this wouldn’t be possible. She is a GREAT trainer. We can’t recommend her enough!!

Leah is the best! Dogs absolutely love her and she truly understands and loves all dogs. Her positive, individualized approach to training has helped me with all 3 of my crazy dogs. She has trained me and my dogs on basic obedience and manners, recall, leash walking, as well as issues with reactivity, jumping, and destructive behaviors. If you are looking for a dog trainer, I highly recommend you use Leah!

The difference we saw in our two dogs after working with Leah was incredible. Our dogs had difficulty with people coming into our house, and after working with them in training sessions with Leah they are now much more comfortable with new people coming into the home, and have better manners with greeting people that they do know as well. Leah is very patient and good at communicating, very quick to respond to questions. She helped us prepare the dogs for our son to be born as well and they are now very well behaved and gentle with our baby. I would recommend her as a trainer to any family or friends.

My puppy needed some work with his manners and confidence. So I consulted with Leah and we worked with her. She was excellent. She was very responsive and helpful, any problem that came up she would troubleshoot with me. As a result of working with Leah my dog has gained a lot of confidence, better mannered, and just a overall better dog. As his owner I also learned a lot from working with Leah. Having her working dog Keno at some lessons was also very valuable and helpful. I highly recommend Leah as a dog trainer. She is excellent!! Leah is also very easy to work with. Both my dog and I enjoyed our time with her.

Leah has given me the advice, guidance, and tools I need to empower my very anxious and timid dog, Donnie. His lack of confidence has made it a very tough process in regards to training, meeting new people, taking in new environments, etc. I am so happy I found Leah to help. This is her niche…working with dogs to give them the confidence to get more comfortable interacting with the outside world and become more comfortable in their own skin. She has a tremendous depth of knowledge with extensive experience in a wide range of training and behavioral situations. She teaches so much more than just sit and stay and educates owners about dogs and proper dog ownership. I am now moving to a different state, but still have the opportunity to do zoom sessions and get help via text with Leah. I am so thankful for this experience and knowledge, day training has been such a huge help and we will forever be thankful for being recommended to The Pawsitive Center for Dogs.The only thing I will regret is not having more time with Leah.

Leah is amazing! She genuinely loves the dogs and it shows through her training! My two loved training days and working with Leah and Keno. She’s knowledgeable, patient, accommodating, and caring. Leah has been my go-to professional for several years now, for both my foster dogs and personal dog. The knowledge and experience she brings to the table has made an incredible difference for my animals, and I cant recommend her highly enough! She stays up to date on the best practices and approaches in her field, her communication is clear and responsive, and the time and effort she puts into her work is evident in the improvement Ive seen in my dogs. Best part? My dogs love her. I mean LOVE her. Excellent Personalized Training at Very Reasonable Prices! Leah worked with us and formed a very personalized training plan that addressed our dog and our situation as we worked to acclimate us with the 10month old dog that we had adopted. She has a passion for helping people to understand and communicate with their dogs in order to nurture their relationships. Her genuine interest shows in every aspect of her training. She is clear, patient, kind and committed. I had done a fair share of reading and training on my own, but Leah taught me so much more than I could have learned from a book.

Leah is a tremendously kind and confident trainer! We live in Rochester, so Leah has graciously worked with us via video on most occasions. Weve had our dog for about a year; we started with the typical puppy training but have also followed up with efforts to reduce nervousness and barking. Leahs strategies are very effective, when the humans put in the work ;)

Leah has been an excellent dog sitter for us. We have always been able to count on her to take care of our dogs in our own home. It allows us to relax and have a good time while we are away, because we know they are getting excellent care with someone that they love, in a place that they are comfortable, and she is someone that we trust. Leah also gives us updates on how our pups are doing, which adds to our comfort level. We have always felt guilty leaving them in the kennel, and the dogs often seemed a little traumatized when we picked them up...no more of that! I should mention that our two dogs are rescue dogs who did not have the easiest lives in the beginning. Both have been skittish and reluctant to come to strangers, but from the very first visit, they took to her and bonded immediately.

I rescued my puppy Luna in Oct of 2020. Luna had never been walked regularly on a leash. When we first got her I used to dread taking her on a walk. She would pull, zigzag try to go after other dogs. She also would jump on us and anyone that came to our house. She really needed some obedience training. I started looking at reviews online of different dog trainers and I found Leah. She is absolutely amazing! Luna LOVES Leah and that shows you Leah is amazing at what she does. She trains with positive reinforcement and has helped Luna tremendously. I would absolutely recommend Leah if you are looking for a dog trainer!!

Leah was professional, punctual and you can tell she really has a passion for helping dogs & their families! She created an individualized training program for our crazy 10 month old bernedoodle and weve seen tremendous improvement in his house manners, recall, and much more. She was patient with our stubborn puppy and he responded so well to her positive reinforcement training methods. Highly recommend!

Leah is fantastic. You can tell she genuinely cares a great deal for the dogs left in her care. The large outdoor area its securely fenced with plenty of space to play. Not only will your dogs get the attention and love they deserve, but Leah also works extensively with them to develop positive behaviors. If your dog cant be at home, theres no better place than Pawsitive Center.

Leah has been an enormous help since we met her. We rescued a dog from a puppy mill who had many issues. Another trainer told me that they didnt know how to help with some of the problems he came with and made me feel like we were doomed. Leah didnt flinch and reassured me that we could work with him. Mr. Wilson is a new dog. Weve had individual trainings at home and gone to group classes. Starting tomorrow we will be utilizing the dog walking services. We rescued another dog in May and became a little overwhelmed. Leah offered to come over on a Saturday night and talk us through everything! She even brought some toys and nylabone a that she thought our new dog would enjoy (the prices at her store are cheaper than any pet store!). We then started classes with our newest dog. Her patience and intuition with dogs is unbelievable. The support and knowledge she offers pet parents is second to none! I cant say enough good things about the Pawsitive Center.

Leah is absolutely wonderful and patient while training my dogs. She is professional and is greatly knowledgeable about how to positively train dogs. I have 2 Golden retrievers with a lot of energy and needed training to strengthen their manners and interactions with others on walks. I have learned many techniques to continue to work with training my dogs and strengthen what they have learned.

Leah is amazing! Honestly, my dogs sense her vibe as soon as they see her! We’ve done both home sessions and zoom now- everything is super helpful and super pertinent to our own dogs. Love the fact that she has resources too so you don’t forget things we received. I wish I was that organized! The commands are easy to learn and make a lot of sense so the dogs pick right up on what they’re supposed to do. It’s great having two crazy fur babes that listen to me now!

Leah is the best!!!! We reached out for help with leash reactivity and have seen HUGE progress after just a couple months of working together. We’ve tried trainers in the past, and this is by far the best program. She’s thorough, helps us build a strong foundation and then generalize skills into other settings. She’s a wealth of knowledge and is so easy to talk to and understand! Her prices are so reasonable for the quality of this service! Our dog loves her so much and we do too!

Leah is wouderful with all aspects of the training and the care of our dog.She worked around my schedule which was so helpful to me. I never thought anyone could get my dog to learn how to walk on a leash and now I can take him out for walks and we have a wounderful time. Leah is the best! Our puppy, Willow, is completely obsessed with her. We started working with Leah in March when Willow was 5 months old and the two have been best girlfriends ever since (at least according to Willow). We love the combination of Private Lessons and Train & Play Sessions. Leah is kind, patient and thoughtful. She is flexible when it comes to training locations and always focuses on the needs of the dogs (and their humans). Not only is Leah wonderful, but she has the world’s most scrumptious assistant. Leah was pawsitively wonderful. She took the time to explain each of the class fundamentals- and homework as well- to set the plan in motion. She would answer emails right away if any questions came up. I finished the intro obedience class and will be going back in the spring for the second class. I highly recommend this center for all your dog training needs! (And supplies- a variety of Kong toys, treats and other items are readily available to purchase!)I give her 5 PAWS!

Leah is trustworthy, reliable and always so safe with our dog. Our dog looks forward to seeing her each time and comes back exhausted, both mentally and physically. Leah is the best!

Leah’s training program is amazing! She is a dog whisperer. After each training session she provides you with a review of what was learned and a homework lesson. All the details (sometimes a video) are included. I am a first time puppy owner and feel like I know how to get desired behavior from my pup. She was patient with me. The puppy and I were a mess in the beginning but we ended every lesson with a new skill and the homework to continue it. Leah also has been there for me boarding my puppy when I hurt my ankle and was in a cast. I dont know what I would have done without her. The puppy loves her and so do I! I highly recommend her services! Try a lesson, you will not be disappointed!

I found Leah after working with multiple dog trainers with no success with a difficult breed as a puppy. As a new puppy owner, in way over my head and beyond lost and frustrated. Leah from day one has been amazing, and uses positive reinforcement in a way the quickly and effectively works with dogs. She is truly amazing! I highly recommend her for basic puppy manners, and more complex behavioral issues including separation anxiety, and dog reactivity (leash and car). She is beyond knowledgeable and truly a “dog whisperer.” She effectively taught myself and my husband how to establish ourselves as pack leaders!
