Petyard - Dog Day Care in Astoria

Sonia is my number one pet sitter in NYC I don’t trust anyone else but her. My dog loves going to her place , loves her & her family. You can tell that she treats all animals with so much attention & care because they are excited to go back. Sonia is very responsive and will keep you informed all day so you can relax during your time away knowing your dog is in good hands! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🐶

Sonia is an amazing sitter and really loves these dogs as if they were her own. She quickly gets to know each dog’s personality and how they interact best with the other dogs. Our dog Phillip is a rescue and a bit nervous when first introduced to a new space and other dogs. He also has some separation anxiety. Sonia was so patient and kind with him. He quickly warmed up to her and all the other dogs. Sonia is consistent with the dogs’ routines. She also provides regular video updates throughout the day. I highly recommend.

Koas tail never wags faster than when we arrive at Sonias house. She has an amazing was good with dogs and they are always happy to see her and stay at her place. She is also a wonderful communicator, we receive loads of videos while were out so we are constantly checking in on our pet! 1000/10 recommend Sonia

Pet yard is an absolute gem! My pup Olympia absolutely loves spending time there. The spacious backyard is a dream for any dog—plenty of room to run, play, and socialize with other furry friends. Sonia is incredibly attentive, caring, and always ensures that every dog is happy and well looked after. It’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. I also appreciate how clean and well-maintained the entire place is. Knowing my dog is in such a safe and fun environment gives me peace of mind every time I drop them off. Highly recommend!

Sonia is the only person we trust with our dog. Tchotchke is always happy to go to Petyard and comes home clean, safe, healthy, and happy. Sonia sends many videos showing all dogs in her care at regular intervals so that you know that nothing is staged to hide an issue. We have had terrible experiences with other highly rated dog daycares in Astoria wherein they staged photos that hid how sick and dehydrated our dog was during boarding.

I cant say enough good things about Petyard, who has been taking care of my dog, Bella. Whenever I travel for work, which is often, Sônia steps in and provides exceptional care. She sends regular updates with photos and videos of Bella enjoying her meals and walks, which really puts my mind at ease. Bella absolutely loves her, and its clear that Sônia treats her with the same love and attention she would her own pet. Knowing that Bella is happy and well-cared for makes my time away so much easier. I highly recommend Petyard to anyone in need of a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.

This is the best place you could ever leave your dog in. Sonia takes incredible care of all the dogs there and she keeps you updated on how your dog is doing. Our dog is so happy here she never wants to leave when we go pick her up!

I’ve been using Petyard to watch my dog for 2 years and it is by far the best option in the neighborhood. Sonia is amazing and takes great care of all of the dogs she watches. The dogs get access to outside, get to go on walks, get constant attention and Sonia is very accommodating to every dogs specific needs. When i drop my dog off it feels like she’s going to summer camp and not just a kennel. I know she’s always in good hands and I can’t recommend enough.

Sonia is truly amazing and goes above and beyond for pets and their parents! Sonia watches my small dog often and I feel complete trust in her always. She is very communicative and shares many videos and photos, and gives the dogs her own healthy veggie treats. Once, she even went to my apartment to get some medicine for my dog when I was working overseas. There aren’t many dog sitters like Sonia, she is a true gem, I don’t know what I would do without her!

I couldnt be happier with the care my dog receives at Petyard. The huge backyard provides plenty of space for my dog to run and play, which is something you dont find at many boarding facilities. This is the best place we have ever boarded our dog! Spike is 14 yo and a bit finicky at his age and yet fits right in with the pack here. Sonia is very smart and experienced about how to integrate all the dogs, extremely patient, and never misses a beat with the page-long instructions he arrives with! Our dog is an escape artist and we have no worries about him escaping here. There is a walled in yard that dogs can access via the doggy door whenever necessary and there’s no way out of the yard! I actually don’t know how Sonia keeps straight all the different food needs and other particulars each dog arrives with but she does! I’ve been there during dinner and it’s like a well-coordinated orchestra! I truly can’t say enough good things about this place. I would advise to book in advance as she can fill up quickly.!

Sonia has been watching my dog for a few years whenever trips come up. Since then feels like she’s become family! She’s caring, dependable, and a good communicator. Sonia always takes such amazing care of my elderly dog and treats her really well! She sends videos of my dog throughout her whole stay and makes sure that I stay updated on how she is doing! My Westie always comes back delighted after spending time at Sonias. He usually stays overnight and she makes sure to provide lots of playtime, walkies and sniffs in her beautiful yard.
