I absolutely adore Pamela. My dog religiously gets groomed by Pamela. I don’t just go to Pamela because she’s amazing at her job, she’s truly a wonderful person. One of the nicest people out there!

The best Grooming Disco Paws 🐾, Since I discovered this place 2 years ago, I have not stopped taking my 7 year old now Yorky Terrier for her spa days. Zoey loves this place.

I took my 2-year-old Shih Poo to get groomed at Disco Paws, mind you, this would be the second time, and the first time was good, so, of course, I came back with the same groomer as a matter of the fact. I specifically asked her NOT TO CUT HIS HAIR, its winter, and this poor doggie is always cold.Three hours later, I went to pick him up, the front desk attendant asked to charge my card for the service, and I even gave a 20% Tip all this before I even saw my dog, and whoa! I was appalled by how he came back looking. His hair is short, and his ear looks uneven (See pictures). Just bad! And I was livid.Long story short, they came up with all the excuses in the book and practically called me rude for being mad at how they didn’t follow directions.They handed me a flier to complain to management because they couldn’t issue a refund. I contacted Amanda, the manager, and she emailed me: “I cannot offer you a refund in this case, but I would suggest booking an alternative service that we offer which includes the sanitary, face, and pad trim but no body haircut, we call it the Debbie Hairy.” I DID NOT ASK FOR HAIR CUT, AMANDA. and to be clear; I was never even offered any other services when I entered the store, which I didn’t mind since it was straight grooming, bath hair combing, cutting a little around his mouth (he gets dirty with food, shaving his butt, nails trim, ear cleaning and that’s all because the cleaning of the anal glands is a separate service not included! Oh, by the way, they informed me the prices went up right before I swiped my card!$124 for a lousy grooming service, No refund was given; Amanda only offered a 20% discount for the next time service…Seriously, you think I’m going back to your establishment?Last email from Amanda: We cannot provide a refund for the service since it was completed as requested and without incident.(Like Cutting the Dogs hair when the owner said DON’T CUT?? I did not request a haircut, Amanda.

Benji loves Natalie. She’s so kind and gentle with Benji. I also appreciate her ability to find the best look for Benji at different hair lengths. She’s very talented!

After searching and searching for a grooming place for my Schnauzer pup, we finally came across with Disco Paws.The staff is amazing they welcomed us with open arms and explained to us the process behind everything.They took care of our little one with so much love that she didnt want to leave.If you are looking for a place to groom your doggy or leave them for daycare, this is the place to go.

Winston had an easy checkin & pickup. He looked so handsome and he smelled so good! Definitely going back.

Disco Paws is the ONLY place I’ll take my son, Angel, for his haircuts. The first time I brought Angel here I knew I’ll always come back! The customer service is 10/10, the environment is very welcoming, and all the services were very well explained to me over the phone and in person. I always book with Natalia because she takes the time to understand exactly what I want (its gotten to a point where I just let her work her magic and she does not disappoint) and takes the time to make Angel feel very comfortable. I’ve gone here for almost a year now and I don’t plan on stopping. If you were ever wondering if you should bring your pup here may this be your confirmation! Thank you Disco Paws for existing! This place is like no other!

I would highly recommend Disco Paws, they had an excellent service with my dog! And I want to thank Natalia who was her stylist for her attention and for an excellent job and the care she has with dogs.

I would like to commend this facility for taking care of my cat so well during the 3 days that I had to go away. My Ginger girl seemed happy and well cared for when I picked her up on 11/19.. In addition, I thank them for giving her mandatory injections twice a day and feeding her a special diet..The staff was very friendly and demonstrated their love and joy for animals. I am very pleased and will definitely use this facility again. I trust them and know that my cat will be secure. Thank you Cat and staff who cared for my Ginger and sent me a daily report.

I’ve taken my dog three times so far, their service is always amazing! This time I had to make an appointment last minute and I had to even change the contact number because I was at work. But they were very sweet the whole time and my dog looks absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so so much! We’re so lucky to have you in the neighborhood!

My shih Tzu named diva hair was so matted and falling out.Disco Paws did such an amazing job! My shih Tzu is beautiful again. They also painted her toenails And put on a matching bandana around her neck. They are awesome!!!

Disco paws is by far the best all around service for dogs! My boy had some training sessions here and has been groomed a few times. He also recently attended the daycare for a few days and had a great time. The disco paws team sends a report at the end of the day which includes cute notes and pics from his time there. There is also a live webcam you can view all day to check on your doggie. Kat, Amanda, and the rest of the crew have been so kind with my boy and we are so grateful for a place like this in Astoria!

My dog loves going here and playing with her friends. They take good care of her and always send cute photos after. Staff is very sweet and kind and its easy to tell that they love all their pet customers

We love Disco Paws! We sent our 1.5 year old dog here for a week and it was great. We were nervous about sending him that long but when we picked him up he was happy and healthy, and the live camera is a huge plus. We changed our reservation multiple times due to travel problems and they were so accommodating. We will continue to bring our pup here frequently!

Absolutely adore their grooming services! They always do a great job, and staff are super sweet! Front end store has a great selection of treats and toys which my dog loves ❤️❤️

We boarded our dog for one night. When we got him back we noticed his eyes were blood red. We contacted discopaws and they said it was most likely due to rough play that can happen while boarding dogs. We understood at first but the vet said there was no way this was just rough play and how it wasnt noticed was beyond him. What shocked me was that disco paws didnt notice this on their own or let us know something was wrong. A few hundred dollars in vet visits later our dog ended up being fine after a week of treatment. I understand things happen and maybe my dog was playing rough (which should be moderated by the employees) but his eyes were blood red and very easy to notice if youre being paid to be caring for someones dog. After we reached out they acted offended and stubborn instead of apologetic and caring. We have boarded our dog else where and have not had a single issue. my wife and I are usually not people that complain at all. We really wanted to like disco paws because on the surface it seemed fun and great. We will never be going back. And In light of their recent issues we felt we needed to leave this review so people can understand our experience as well.

Brought my newly adopted dog in for a grooming. I was so worried but she came out so cute and was such a good girl during the whole process. They even gave her a cute little bandana.

We love this place. The sweetest and kindest staff. Our dog enjoys her time here. It is very clean, the store itself sells a lot of cool stuff, and reservation/check-in/rescheduling are very easy. We highly recommend!

They are amazing, take such good care of my two dogs in grooming (thx to Pamela!). All the staff is friendly and all the dogs in daycare are so loved. Plus they carry all the best food, especially WERUVA. Love a closer location, on Steinway but would go to ditmars if I had to!

Updating review - protect your pup and avoid negligence.I am unfortunately updating my previous 5 star review down to two stars. My pet has stopped going here after he was injured. The day of the injury - I received two phone calls while I was at work that I missed due to a meeting. No voicemail or text follow up. I received a notification that he had been checked out, which they accidentally do often. I figured that is why they called.When I called back an hour later, the employee slowly revealed that my pet had been a “little hurt”. They were not clear or forthcoming with the details, and the story kept changing. When I saw my pet, it turns out they put him in a time out when he was in a distressed state and left him unsupervised in one of their cages. He is not too big at 45lbs and was able to break one of the wires off of their doors and it pierced through his paw. I spent most of that evening in the ER getting stitches. When I spoke with management at disco paws the next day, they agreed I should have been notified sooner, however they noted that there was nothing they could do to have prevented the situation and started noting my pet has behavior issues. I noted that if my pet has behavior issues, I should not be hearing about it for the first time after he needs to go to the ER. they also should have time out areas that medium size dogs cannot break. I noted that I was concerned they leave all the dogs alone for employee restroom breaks or to go get water, and some of them did not seem knowledgeable in recognizing the difference between a anxious dog and an excited one. Management responded saying their manager is a skilled trainer (I agree), but they do not have the money to hire staff that knows how to train dogs, and that they do not have the money to have enough staff during the day to make sure dogs are supervised at all times.All in all, this even resulted in over $2000 in vet bills, 4 weeks of my husband and I having to figure out who can take off work until my pet healed, and my pet had to go through an injury. Disco paws took zero responsibility, and did not offer to help with vet bills or even offer free days of care. I highly recommend going somewhere else with more resources to protect your pet.

I love this place !!My shitzhu/poodle is not the easiest dog! He’s feisty and aggressive under all that cuteness. Every single groomer at this place has been so patient and accepts him with open arms every single time. I will continue to support this location and recommend everyone! It’s also so clean and well maintained another plus!!!

I have been taking my dog to Disco Paws since I adopted him for grooming and boarding services. They always do an amazing job and being able to spy on him via webcam when Im away is a great comfort. I highly recommend Disco Paws to anyone with a fur baby in the Astoria area

Its fun...& pricey. I bought gifts. I went over to the windows, one dog saw me, got super excited & ran to the window. It must have been the alpha dog because they all came running, it made me laugh....this place is super clean. Staff was attentive and cheerful.

Do not take your dog to disco paws for any grooming.My dog came back with his eyes all red and swollen and had to take him to the vet right away.Vet said that it’s possible if shampoo gets in his eye lids and sent me home with eye drops and oral medication for my dog and set me back.Called discopaws and spoke to Kat, the general manager (what a joke) and she flat out denies anything. Just like the first time we had another incident and found scratch marks from grooming.Then I asked flat out if they are denying responsibility completely and she said yes then banned my dog from their store. What a joke this place is.Do your dogs a favor and take them to BBs in Astoria.

Never leave anything there accidentally because instead of contacting you due to the fact that they have your contact information they’ll throw your item away or misplace it no matter how important it is. Extremely unprofessional & the manager can careless about your item when you call or go to speak to them about it.They’ll only contact you when it’s regarding them taking your money which is insane.Never giving this unprofessional establishment my money again. If I could give them 0 stars believe me I will

I called to find out bout boarding services and I was told pitbulls and pit mixes are not accepted. Not even an evaluation was offered it was just a blanket rule.
