Dozo Dog

We love Dozo Dog! Our dog Bruce has been going to Dozo for 5+ years and we truly cannot imagine our lives without this place. Bruce is always so well taken care of and we never have to worry while he is there. We receive photos and videos throughout his stay, all of the caretakers know him by name, he exerts a bunch of energy with the other dogs, and he never comes home too grubby! We use Dozo for both regular daycare and overnight boarding, we highly recommend this place to others!

I will forever be grateful to Dozo Dog they’re the best. Honestly they’re better than the best their phenomenal words cannot explain how grateful I am to have found this place that loves my fur baby as much as I do. Not only do they just love your fur baby and treat them like they own fur child but they take proper care of them while you at work or even went on vacation. I have never did the services where I would have to leave my fur babies for a day or more but one of my friends have and they love how well they took care of her baby. However I did do the daycare service for after he was getting groom to wait for me with the other dogs for a while he was nervous but they made him feel comfortable and full of love .I really wanted to give as big shout to Scottie’s groomer her name is Amanda and we have been doing to her since December 30 ,2023 and since then this our fourth visit and she keep leaving us speak less with her amazing work. She made Scottie feel very comfortable to the point where he’s not shy , crying or nervous when he gots to get clean. I really appreciate all the hard work she does as well as all the love she puts in each dog she takes care of .Thank you Dozo

My wife & I have been taking our dog, Parker, to Dozo Dog for quite some time for the grooming services. Whether it is the LIC location or Astoria, the grooming services never disappointed. We tend to favor the Astoria location more because Parker’s groomer, Amanda, does an amazing job with him. It’s hard to really point out any negatives, because there aren’t any. Dozo Dog has been part of our baby boy’s life since he was a pup! He will be 5 years old tomorrow. Dozo dog is Connor’s favorite place! He loves playing with other pup friends and Adores owners Yukako and Louis. We have nothing but amazing things to say about Dozo, the staff and managers. The facility is clean and safe. We get constant updates on Connor while he is at daycare. We also ALWAYS get Connor groomed at Dozo and we are always happy with how much CARE all of the Dozo staff puts into all they do for our pup!! DOZO is LOVE 🥰

Our two year old Mini Australian Shepherd loves going to Dozo Dog! Everyone is so friendly and understanding. Our dog has a lot of energy and they are very patient with him. He loves playing with all the other dogs and he so tired once we pick him up. 😊The staff also send you the best pictures and videos of him playing so we know how he is doing throughout the day. ☺️

Our dog Luna has been going to Dozo for over a year now and we couldnt be happier with everything they do! We had taken her to another doggie daycare before Dozo and the experiences are day and night. Dozo is impeccably clean, not over-crowded, they employ kind and loving dog handlers, and they dont turn away dogs as the result of a 1-minute temperament check like other places. Instead, they work to help socialize all dogs, big and small, and their experienced handlers help break up any conflicts if they occur. For peace of mind, they regularly send photos and videos of your dog when they are there, and you have access to a live camera where you can watch everything thats going on! In addition, Dozo has a wonderful groomer and other services including training. They also sell a variety of cute clothing and toys, and host fun events/parties throughout the year. Luna sprints with excitement every time we approach Dozo as she cannot wait to hang out with her favorite human and canine friends! I would highly recommend Dozo Dog to everyone I know!

Our 1.5 year old dog Franklin has been going to Dozo Dog for about 7 months now and it’s paws down his most favorite place (and ours!). We’ve tried other local places, and let’s just say we are SO grateful to have found Dozo. The facility is extremely clean and all the staff and owners are extremely knowledgeable and caring (everyone is always smiling!). Our pup comes back home so happy and gets so excited when we approach Dozo. In addition to daily daycare, we’ve tried grooming services and boarding, they never disappoint. We all can’t imagine a day without Dozo!

The best doggie daycare!! Mr Tito loves his time here 🐶 The owners and staff are amazing, take the best care of him, and the grooming and boarding on site is the perfect combo of services. I never have to worry when Tito is at Dozo, whether for a few hours or a full week, the staff always go above and beyond to ensure the safety and happiness of each dog.

Dozo is AMAZING! The best doggy day care in Queens.We’ve been using them since we got out Mini Aussie Bailey! He’s now 2 and we leave him there at least once a week.They’re super clean & friendly. They’re constantly cleaning up after the dogs and they make sure the greet you as you walk in & walk out.And the best part is they said live updates-pictures and videos so we can see how much fun our dog is having 🙌🏻!If you have a pet this is the place to take them 🐶

Our do absolutely LOVES Dozo! There is always multiple people in with the dogs at all times. Their communication is excellent-Always giving us updates and letting us know how she did. She gets SO excited when she knows we’re on our way to daycare.

We love Dozo Dog! Our Dottie girl pulls her way here every time we come. When we first adopted Dottie, she had pretty severe separation anxiety and a LOT of energy. Being able to come to Dozo, she learned how to play safely and also say goodbye to us! Lol.Dozo is so professional: everyone waves and is friendly, they are communicative throughout the day and send photos and updates, and they also have several webcams which was helpful for my stress when we first started going there, lol. They also have an AWESOME trainer - Kristin - who we worked with a bunch through private training sessions. Weve boarded Dottie once and she did a great job. The price might be a little bit more than some others, but you feel the difference with their cleanliness, professionalism, and also the joy on your pups face. (Not to mention - Dottie PASSES OUT when she gets home!)I also want to say... Louis, Yukako, Yenny and the rest of the team are just incredible. Theyve dealt with my helicopter mom neuroses and they are always thoughtfully asking for feedback. It is no wonder they are at capacity often... Go to Dozo!

My puppy has been coming to Dozo Dog for 3 years — he was 4 months old when he got all his shots and was able to start to meet new puppies. He immediately became a member of the Dozo family. I can’t say enough good things about the staff here who go out of their way to love on every single dog in their care. There are also cameras in every playroom so you can check in on your pup during the day. I would never send my dog anywhere else. (Pic is one of the many pic updates I get sent while my pup is in daycare).

Where do I even begin? This place is amazing! We adopted a puppy from Texas who was scared of absolutely everything. A bag would blow in the wind and she would cower in a corner. Taking her to dozo dog completely changed her. She gained confidence, learned new manners and became a puppy full of happiness and energy. To say she loves dozo dog is an understatement! Now on our morning walks to dozo dog she basically wants to run there and jump in the room to start playing. The facility is kept beautiful and the entire team is great. So helpful and understanding. We really owe a lot to the team! Plus they have cameras so if you are ever nervous about your pup, you can check in and your worries will fade away. If you are looking for a daycare, look no further! Your dog will feel so at home here! We do not have enough good things to say about Dozo Dog, if I could give them a 10 star rating I would!! We’ve been taking our pup Luna to Dozo since we adopted her last year at 3 months old, so she really grew up there. Yukako and Louis, as well as all the staff are so loving and attentive to the dogs, while also making sure there is discipline. We feel so comfortable knowing Luna is in such good hands when we leave her for the day or need to board her. The best thing of all is that even though you have access to cameras whenever your dog is checked in, you also get texts of photos and videos of your pup playing their heart out, it’s such a special touch!! We have recently moved out of Astoria, but when we went away for a week we took Luna back to Dozo because we fully trust them to take the absolute best care of her. Send your dog here, you will not regret it :)

We love Dozo! It was our first daycare we’ve taken our pup, Loki to and we haven’t been to another one since. We’ve done full day daycare, half day daycare and boarding - the staff always sends pictures and updates and when he’s checked in or boarding, we have access to a camera to check in on him. The staff has always been friendly, flexible and understanding with us and we’re happy to have somewhere that we trust to take care of our baby!

My wife and I have to work all day; Dozo Dog has definitely made our lives 1000% easier. Leon, our 15-pound Shih Tzu, is a regular at the daycare and absolutely loves it; we get videos and photos all the time of him having a blast playing with the other dogs. We love how attentive, nice, and caring the staff is as well. Their grooming services are excellent too, as well as their overnight boarding when weve needed it — Dozo Dog is able to give us total peace of mind while giving Leon a happy place to stay. We cant recommend Dozo Dog enough!

My pup LOVES Dozo Dog. I truly don’t know what I would do without them. I work long hours and the owners and staff have been so understanding and generous - I know my dog is in loving and caring hands every time I drop her off and it is one less thing I have to worry about during the day. They text me pictures of her enjoying her relief walks and stream videos so I can check in on her at any time. Dozo has created such a wonderful community in Astoria and I’m so glad I can be a part of it.

Dozo dog is a very caring thoughtful daycare and so accommodating since the day we first brought our dog Penny there. She’s a quirky dog to say the least but they are truly committed to the care they give to each and every dog. When Dozo brought on a trainer we instantly knew we needed to sign up for it. Kristin has been above and beyond. She’s considerate to our dogs needs and trying to figure out what makes Penny, Penny. Her approach to training feels tailor made to our dog. Training doesn’t stop once the session is over and you suddenly have a perfect dog for life. It’s a learning process and a set of tools that you continue to use. We are so very thankful that we have Dozo dog in our community.

We’ve been taking our beagle Nellie to Dozo for over two years. She has a great time and the staff is very caring! We do daycare, grooming and boarding. Not sure what we’d do without Dozo!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dozo Dog. Yukako and Louis take such good care of all of the dogs and really go above and beyond to keep them safe happy, safe, and loved. I now take my dog to a spot closer to home that I can walk to but highly recommend Dozo for folks near Astoria blvd. It was very hard to find parking there which made pick ups and drop offs stressful.

We started taking Charles BARKley (aka charlie) to Dozo Dog about a month ago and we cannot express how awesome this doggie daycare is! The staff is highly communicative with daily pictures texted to your phone, super responsive via email, super attentive, lovingly teaches and corrects unwanted behaviors (which is so helpful as Charlie is only a 5 month old puppy), and all around supportive. The facility is so clean, bright with natural light, and welcoming. There is always a full house (that’s how much people love taking their fur babies there) but it’s never chaotic. The webcam is a plus and the fact that they have an amazing groomer in house (jennifer!) is a bonus! The dogs have so much fun! We love Dozo Dog!

Our dog, Franklin, has been going to Dozo dog since 2019, when he was just 4 months old, and Dozo is still Franklin’s favorite place in the world. Yukako, Louis, Yenny, and the whole staff have basically helped to raise Franklin and have always treated him like he was their own family member. Franklin gets so excited on his walks to daycare, and we love receiving photo and video updates throughout the day. Dozo really goes above and beyond what we would ever expect from a doggy daycare - they have given Franklin special treats for his birthday, done holiday photoshoots with him, accommodated and helped us to work on some of his quirkiest behaviors, and have even taken him to the vet while he was boarding at Dozo. Dozo is an incredible member of the Astoria community, and we are excited to see them grow in Long Island City, too! We would recommend Dozo to anyone looking for a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for their dog.

I left my mini schnauzer Stella at Dozo Dog for boarding and was very pleased in how they took care of her. They were very attentive, professional and caring. I was able to follow her by camera view while I was away and this gave me the reassurance I needed that she was ok. Also the staff sent pictures of her daily. I would recommend this place for their daycare and boarding.

If you’re considering a doggy daycare in astoria look no further than Dozo!! My dog LOVES it here and always starts to drag us inside as we get close to the door. We’ve used both their daycare and boarding services and have had great experiences with both. They’re always quick to respond to messages and send you such cute photos of your dog while in their care. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

I first started bringing my four legged best friend Graham to Dozo when he was about four month old. I am a new dog mom so I was VERY nervous at first to leave him at any doggy daycare. But one day I had an appointment that I had to go to and couldn’t leave Graham for that long. I brought him into to Dozo and they eased my anxieties immediately.The staff and owners are AMAZING. They are incredibly caring and treat Graham like he’s their own pet. They send videos and pictures even when he is just there for a couple of hours!Also most importantly Graham LOVES going. The second he realizes we are heading in that direction he starts to run. He is always so happy to be there and I can’t tell you how appreciative I am.I’ve recommended other friends to go and everyone has the same experience. Dozo dog takes every dog and their special quirks into consideration. They offer grooming services, private feedings and relief walks too! Not to mention they celebrate every holiday with the dogs and have incredible parties for the dogs in their community.

Such a great place!!!My dog OZZIE has been going to dozo dog almost 2 years. Ozzie is always happy when he goes there and staff is attentive to all the dogs there.

I have brought my dog to Dozo for both daycare and boarding and I can’t recommend them enough. It has helped Hank open up around other dogs so much. Boarding has helped him become a bit more independent and ok with being alone for a bit as well.The facility is always clean, the staff are so friendly and give off very genuine vibes regarding how much they care for the dogs.I have no clue how but they always send the best pictures throughout the day. It’s incredibly impressive that they always send the right dog to the right owner given the amount of dogs there at any given time.Dozo isn’t even the closest daycare to me but I go out of my way to make the 15 minute walk to bring hank there because the service is that good. I have no desire to look elsewhere.

We love Dozo Dog! I cannot recommend them enough.. my husband and I have been bringing our boy here for over three years. We have had several last minute emergencies where we needed them to take Blue for the day and they have always been so accommodating. They are the only daycare in Astoria that we trust. We had negative experiences elsewhere (before Dozo opened). We are so happy to have them in our neighborhood. Blue is so happy when he is there. He loves all the staff members. The owners, managers and staff are so great with him. Their drop off/pick up service is a LIFE SAVER!! We also love that they send us pictures and videos throughout the day. Even though their first location is extremely close to our house, we cannot wait to check out their new location opening in Long Island city!!

Dozo Dog is Anakin’s favorite place.They’re very on top of everything! They will send you updates on how your pup is doing and are always very loving and caring with them. They treat them like family and are very patient.Not only does Anakin love his day care but he loves going to school there (training). The trainer at Dozo is PHENOMENAL! She is amazing.Anakin does not walk but RUNS when he sees we’re heading to Dozo. He loves it so much and it makes me happy knowing he’s at a place that treats him well, allows him to play, watches out for him, and overall treats him like family.I forgot to mention the cool parties they have for the pups! The pool party, Halloween, Christmas 🎅🏼 Very happy to have found them!

Our dog is a bit of an old grump, but he loves his trips to Dozo Dog. The staff are very friendly and always excited to see him. They have cameras so you can watch your dog play (or sit in the middle of the room like a weirdo like our dog), and they text you pictures during the day as well. We’ve never had an issue, including when our dog needed medication during meals, and the few times we’ve boarded him. We love having a convenient dog daycare nearby where we feel our boy will be safe.

Our pup, Widget is a shy boy. Everyone at Dozo Dog have been very accommodating, taking his personality and temperament into consideration. Staff is professional, and are always available to answer any questions and give excellent feedback. We get regular updates whether hes there for daycare or boarding, and being able to see him on the webcams is a plus!

We have never experienced anything but great care and service for our doggy after bringing him to Dozo for years since he was a small puppy. We’ve occasionally used grooming services and have always had a great experience with this as well. All staff members have been kind and caring with our dog, and there are cameras all over the facility if you do feel like you want to see how your dog is doing. We know a lot of dog owners who love Dozo as well, I would recommend!

If I could give them more stars I would. We love dozo dog! Whenever we go pick up Basil (mini labradoodle), he doesnt want to leave! He loves it just as much. We appreciate and find comfort in the updates and pictures they send us as well as having access to the camera! We enjoy being able to check on him. The grooming services are excellent as well.

Incredible doggy daycare to take care of your pup while you’re away. Great place even if you’re simply seeking to familiarize your dog with other dogs. Staff are friendly and show lots of love to your furry best friend. They also listened to our directions very well.... Our dog is a fussy eater and requires special instructions for his food, and the staff assured us that they hand feed the dogs to ensure that they don’t eat too fast. They even have live webcams recording the play area so you can tune in from your phone any time. Prices are affordable and predictable. Very glad they’re around the neighborhood! We will be coming back here again.

Dozo dog is absolutely adored by our dog Wolfie, we have to avoid walking in the area or he will try pull us in there, we found the staff very polite and helpful and also used the drop off service which was excellent, we love sending wolfie there and will continue to do so. The premises is very clean and the the establishment does their due diligence with ensuring all dogs are vaccinated and social.

We love Dozo Dog so much, and so does our pup! They’re always our go-to boarding facility for whenever we go out of town. They take such good care of the dogs, and provide owners with tons of photo updates throughout the dogs time there. We can also watch our pup 24/7 through a video streaming, which really helps to quell any anxieties! Our dog sleeps for DAYS when she comes home, after nonstop playing at Dozo Dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dozo to any Astoria dog owner!

Dozo never disappoints! The owners actually care about every dog that comes in and they always ask exactly what it is you’re looking for especially when it comes to grooming. They’re are very attentive and I believe they honestly care about their customers and will help assist wherever they can! Our dog has been there numerous times and we have not had even one bad experience. Will always be a repeat customer!

Just moved from California to N.Y. with my 17 year old dog “Shibaboy” I was very limited as to my ability to adventure out for more than two or three hours due to the fact of the age of my best friend. While walking him one day I met a very nice gentleman named Louis he told me about his wife, Yukako-san and her business Dozodog. I have checked out many places offering to watch my dog but did not feel comfortable leaving him due to his age and needs . After speaking to Yukako san and checking out Dozodog I felt very comfortable leaving my four-legged Family member at Dozodog‘s. I could finally get out and have some fun that extended more than two or three hours knowing he would be happy. The staff is friendly kind, courteous and will take care of your four-legged friends. I trust them with Shibaboy And would recommend them to anybody.

DozoDog is a game-changer for Mia and me! Their team is warm, welcoming, and clearly loves each furry guest. From cuddles to playtime, I know Mia is treated like royalty. Communication is top-notch, and their facility is spotless. Plus, the added comfort of knowing I can check in on Mia anytime via their cameras makes my day so much brighter. I love seeing her happy, tired face when I pick her up – and getting sneak peeks at her playtime antics throughout the day! 🐾❤️

Dozo… Fifi’s favorite place❤️. The Place I picked for Fifi before he even moved to NYC and the place that did not disappoint, almost 2 years later. People that are so caring, understanding and professional, and above all reliable.Luis and Yukako are so kind and they created an amazing team or young and good people! It is so simple and maybe often taken for granted but so hard to find these days!Fifi and I love you guys so much! We are forever grateful for everything you do❤️

Dog dozo is absolutely amazing and such a wonderful place to send your dog.The owner is very hands on and is very informative and friendly. All the staff is nice and you can tell they care about the dogs.The space is big and there is a lot of room for your dog to play and hang out. They also offer grooming which is very well done and is great for a first time grooming session like my dog.Overall this place is great and has camera access to watch your dog if youre an obsessed dog parent like myself.

I highly recommend this place. I always leave my dog here for boarding because they treat them with so much care. They also always update me with pictures and videos. They have cameras that work 24/7 which you can have access to when your dog is boarding with them so you can see your dog on your phone whenever you’d like through their app. You can book grooming during your dog’s stay. Thank you so much for always accommodating my dog during his stays :)

My Fur babies favorite daycare of all times. The employees are phenomenal, I appreciate the text messages through out the day letting me know how Jace is doing. Love when I get pictures of him and his pals at daycare. Very happy with Dozo Dog and their team!

Cant recommend this doggie daycare enough! They are so attentive and caring to all the dogs. They know each one by name and treat each one like it was their own. The staff is so sweet and incredibly helpful. Higgins looks forward to going there each week.

11/10! Even before scheduling my new puppys first groom Louis (one of the owners) went above and beyond in terms of his patience and making me feel comfortable as a first time puppy mom! Jupiter looked amazing, was somehow softer and fluffier than before! A real testament to their work. Louis provided detailed pictures and a video and in-person description of how Jupi did, which was really sweet, especially in light that I wasnt able to watch thedthe groom due to Covid restrictions.Upon pickup I met both owners and they couldnt have been nicer. The location is very clean and have no qualms about using their daycare and boarding service if needed, in the future. Jupiter loved briefly hanging out with the dogs and they all were very well cared for. I cant say enough good things!

Dozo is the absolute best! My rescue has been going there since she was 8 months old and it is now her favorite place in the world. She somehow knows when it’s a Dozo day and pulls me all the way there. They care so much about her and the other animals, giving us picture and text updates throughout the day, which makes me feel so at ease. They don’t just watch the dogs, they help all of the dogs learn to play the right way and be social, which has been so instrumental in our dog’s development. She’s also tired for 2 days after, which is the best part. I could not recommend Dozo more! Thank you Louis and all of the amazing staff!

My dogs, Louie and Elmer, absolutely LOVE dozo dog!!! They get so excited to go in and its great to see their wagging tails from their cameras! The dogs absolutely love it and when they get home theyre exhausted! I would absolutely recommend Dozo to everyone!

Dozo Dog always does a great job bathing my dog (Pico). We have been customers for several years and couldn’t be happier. My dog always comes home smelling fresh and clean - I highly recommend their services.We haven’t explored their other services like doggy daycare or boarding. But I’ve heard from friends they do a great job! Check them out!

We are SO happy that we found Dozo Dog!! Our pup Riley is 11 and hadnt been boarded or to daycare in over two years and we were very nervous of how he would do. Every day that we were away, they checked in and sent videos and pictures of him to let us know he was not only doing well but having a great time! The owners and staff are incredibly nice and we now feel 100% comfortable leaving Riley in their hands. We also really love how they have cameras and you can see your pup at any time, day or night.

I am so happy I found Dozo Dog! Not only does my pup, Chip, love going there for daycare but we recently started doing training classes there and its been wonderful. I had no idea where to start with training my very energetic, young puppy and I didnt know where to go. Dozo Dog classes are reasonable priced and I would say we started seeing progress around our 3rd session which is huge as my Chip is rambunctious and can be a handful. Thank you Kristin + Dozo Dog!!

Dozo Dog is the best doggie daycare and training! After getting our dog in the pandemic this was the first (and only!) place we took him to socialize and meet other dogs. The amazing staff is kind, friendly, and organized ensuring your dog gets everything they need during their stay. Over the past few months we have done regular daycare and boarding (overnight stays) which have gone extremely well. They work very hard to make your dog comfortable and safe during their stay, we had no worries at all! Recently we have also used their awesome training services to help our dog with maintaining calm energy, walking in a heel position, playing well with other dogs, and crate training. Kristin was absolutely amazing and her positive reinforcement method works wonders. Thank you Dozo for everything you have done for us and Kyon!

My dog, Oreo, loves Dozo Dog. Its a great spot for him to play and spend time with his dog friends. The daycare is super clean and the team is very friendly. Highly recommend!

Dozo Dog has been my go to boarding, day care, and grooming place since I have moved to Astoria. What makes Dozo Dog stand out above EVERY single other doggie daycare and boarding place I have ever experienced is that they really truly do actually care about the dogs. First of all the owners are up there every single day, all day long which should tell you enough right there, they send me dozens of pictures and videos daily without me even asking, they single out my dog and give her attention without me even asking.. Dozo dog just stands soo far above the rest.My best experience (its hard to pick just one) was when I needed to be away for 3 days, and my dog Molly who is completely blind and very dependent, was staying the night and was pacing and very stressed around 10:30 - 11:00 pm and I was able to txt the owner personally and she was so comforting, so much so that her husband (co-owner) literally went all the way back to work at 11:00pm at night just to comfort my dog and play with her.. That really speaks volumes about how they deal with their customers. Below are the pictures from that night showing the OWNER literally hand feeding my dog, playing with her, and comforting her to help her feel better the rest of the night.3 thumbs up, best place you could EVER take your dog to. Will be recommending to every person I meet!!

I cant recommend Dozo Dog enough.Im an overly protective dog dad, We take our dog here at least once a week and she’s always excited to go. You can tell The Owners and staff really care about the dogs.There is always an employee (usually more) in the room with the dogs to monitor the dogs play, keep them safe and clean up any “accidents”.We use them for training as well and Kristin is so smart and easy to learn from. The Training sessions are always fun for both us and our Dog.

The service is horrible. Working conditions are bad, they are always understaff. If they don’t treat well their workers how can you expect that they are going to treat the dogs with care and love. Its always one worker that has to take care of 30+ dogs. (If you dont believe me, just show up at a random time and you will see it yourself). Only care how their business is being looked out on the outside, not worrying to fix the problems that are inside the business. Dozo Dog is truly an amazing daycare, they go above and beyond for every dog that comes in! Our pup gets so excited when he sees the daycare, its hard to get him to leave. They really live up to what they preach by not discriminating and accepting all dogs, no matter what. HUGE reason I love this daycare is the cleanliness, they disinfect everyday and provide safe environments for the dogs to play in!

Dozo is home away from home (close relative) kind of place. My babyboy Bruno has been going to Dozo for over 3 years. The staff treat him as if he is one of their own. Theyre clean, responsible and not hesitate to do the right thing. They know my pup well, like how I know him, which tells me they pay close attention to the dogs behaviors in the play area. Theyre super knowledgeable and trained in the work they do and ensure the staff are well suited and trained as well. When we first got Bruno we tried other day cares and they dont come close to the honesty and love they show my dog here. Yakako and Luis have created something very special here and Im so happy Bruno gets to be a part of it.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Other reviews speak for it. Yukako and Louis are one of a kind - they treat every dog as their own. They truly care and are always updating us with pictures and videos. All of the staff members are kind, responsible, respectful, and most importantly trusting. I feel so comfortable leaving our dog in their hands on a day to day basis. They go above and beyond every day!!!!Our dog loves it so much, living next door is difficult; every time she walks by she wants to go in for some doggy fun! Again I cannot recommend this place enough and truly could not imagine leaving her in the hands of anyone else.

THE BEST DOGGY DAY CARE EVER. Yukako and her husband are absolutely wonderful, they treat your dog like it is one of their own. I was so nervous bringing my three month old puppy, but not only was Yukako very patient with all of my questions and worries, she sent updates throughout the day (even though there is a livestream), she hand fed my puppy one day when she wouldn’t eat, and just in general there is no place I could trust more than Dozo Dog. It really is the best place to care for your pet. We will be taking Peach here forever!

My 6 month old puppy loves going to Dozo Dog. As soon as he realizes we are near he gets very excited and starts pulling me to the door.We have used their overnight boarding, their day care and their grooming services and have had nothing but great experiences. They are very professional and kind with the dogs. My puppy can be a little needy and is a bit spoiled and they have taken the time to sit and hand feed him his dinner when he has stayed overnight. Which is something we greatly appreciate.They keep in constant contact with me while he is there and send me pictures and videos of him playing with the other pups. The facility is clean and so is the area where they sleep. The dogs do not sleep in cages, which is one of the reasons I decided to board him here. You can bring your dogs bed or they provide them with one. They also have a video camera that you can log into and check in on your beloved pup at any time.They treat the dogs as if they were their own and you can see how much they love what they do. I have recommended them to various friends and family members and will continue to use their services. Im so glad we found them and that our puppy loves them.

My pups Boogie and Blu have been going to Dozo for 4 and 3 years (respectively). They absolutely love it there. As you can see Boogie (the fawn) has his crazy eyes whenever he “pawties” at Dozo. The staff is super friendly, handles our pups with so much care, and always takes excellent care after our dogs. Yenny and Yukako (the owner) also take great photos of them and capture so many fun moments while they play with their friends. We love Dozo and will continue bringing our pups there.

Jennifer (the new groomer) did an amazing job with Winnie and she and the other employees at Dozo Dog are friendly and fun. Very happy, as the groomer we used while Dozo Dog wasnt offering the service was spotty at best. Winnie seemed much calmer as well, seemed quite comfortable with Jennifer!

Dozo dog is the only place I trust for my dog’s care. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and caring. They give constant updates and you can even watch your pup on their cameras while you’re away.The facility is clean and cute. Highly recommend this place!

Our puppy Autumn went for her first professional grooming today and had a great experience. She did great and we are so happy to find a clean, friendly, professional, inviting, convenient place like Dozo Dog. Autumn cant wait to make lots of friends.

Dozo dog is amazing they go above and beyond for your dog. I love that they have video cameras so you can see how your dog is doing. I also used the groomer very satisfied. Highly recommend this place for boarding, day care or grooming.

I will just say that it is not the place you really see on social media, always ask yourself why they change staff so much, something is not working well in there.This post has nothing to do with the others, you owners always respond with the same words to those of us who comment negative things, simply to tell the truth, and yes, I have used your services, that is why I also know that dogs that are aggressive or have a bad character, they are put in the back room so that people in front dont see what is really happening.

My 7 month old Beagle enjoys This place so much! She Comes back home happy and better behaved. All the staff is professional, caring and positive. Absolutely happy to have my dog being cared by Dozo Dog.

BEST DOGGIE DAY CARE EVER!!!..I met the owners Yukako and Louis exactly a year ago, March 2019. I walked by their establishment by accident and decided to walk in because I had been looking for a boarding facility/day care for my 3 month old puppy, Zoey. I had already been to a few places but I wasnt pleased with what I saw or heard from other dog owners. When I walked into Dozo, I IMMEDIATELY feel in love with the place. It was clean, open, chic with friendly handlers. All the Dogs seemed to have been enjoying themselves. I stayed and met, Yukako one of the owners whom I IMMEDIATELY had an instant connection with. She made me so comfortable and was so patient with me for I had 101 questions. She made my worries and concerns HER worries and concerns and assured me my puppy would be just fine. A few days later I took my Zoey there for a few hours and she kept me updated the entire time. I repeated this a few times so that my puppy was comfortable with the wonderful handlers and the other dogs before I left her to board. I knew she was safe and that she loved the place, especially Yukako!. With a heavy heart to leave her, we left her for two weeks in Yukako and Louis care. What a BLESSING that was. She was well cared for and was extremely happy with them. I received multiple updates from Yukako, via texts and videos and I was able to enjoy my family vacation as much as Zoey was enjoying her time at Dozo Dog. A year later Zoey is still enjoying her time at Daycare and I am still so appreciative of the LOVE she receives from Yukako, Louis, Yenny and Tessa!

WOW, am I happy to have Dozo Dog in the neighborhood!! Great pricing, great services, AMAZING owners - the most caring, compassionate, and personable couple.My dog is a GSD, and has always been rejected from boarding or puppy play areas due to size and for his status as an intact dog. I totally understand, and just figured that he would not have these opportunities.He was scheduled for a bath at Dozo Dog, and was given the chance to frolic for a few minutes with the other dogs in daycare while waiting his turn. I was shocked and elated, and so proud to see him having fun for the first time! It was literally like dropping him off at school in September. The bath was fantastic - the owner helped the groomer complete a thorough deshedding on their own volition, and asked me if I thought he was dry enough at the end.ALSO - the entirely online/texting system is so user friendly, so accessible, and so easy. Uploading his immunization documentation and corresponding with Dozo was soooooooo simple!10/5 stars. Will be exploring daycare in the near future and definitely bringing him back for his next bath!

We LOVE Dozo! They are clean, attentive, gentle, and efficient! Gizmo is instantly excited as soon as I say the word daycare. And runs towards the facility as we get closer.They have 24/7 Live Web Cameras and its definitely a lot easier to leave your precious baby there knowing you can check on them anytime.They also send you videos and photos of your little one throughout the day.They provide many services, grooming, boarding, relief walks, pickup/drop-off etc. The app is super easy to use.Prices are very reasonable.

Yukako and Louis put so much love and care into their business. I take my dog there for fullday day care and she loves it. The interaction, the space to play, and the attention she wouldnt receive at home alone makes a hugely difference in her spirit and energy levels. They treat her as their own and send me daily photo and video updates. They take all dogs no matter what condition or disability and make sure that all dogs are safe in the process. If your dog is not fixed, they will keep it separate in the SECOND play space until your dog is able to play with others. Same with behavior issues to the best of their ability. They have an website to do all their scheduling, and confirm and verify all necessary vaccinations. Theyre website will even alert you when your vaccines are about to expire! Its a fantastic reminder to ensure you are keeping your pet and those around them safe. For anyone complaining about scratches after daycare-- have you seen dogs play?? Of course they will come home with a few scratches and nicks, thats how dogs play! They run, jump, tackle, and hump each other! Its part of socializing! Your fur baby is inclined to get the same injuries as children at daycare who can come home with cuts and bruises. Or on a playground. Dont be an idiot. Its not a sign of poor care or lack of attentiveness on the staff.Yukako and Louis are wonderful people with an amazing business and Im so grateful they opened their store!

We love Dozo. Yukako & her husband are super friendly, accommodating & respond very fast to whatever inquiries. We also love the space itself, ample room and sunlight. And their online booking system is super convenient. We are very happy to send our doggie to Dozo.

Great customer service! The place is very clean and all the dogs are happy and playing in doggie care... They are not left alone and theres even cameras where you can check up on your pup! The groomer is great she cuts my pups hair just how I like it! I really recommend this place if you want your dog taken care of just like home.

Luna can be territorial and timid when shes in new environments, so we were nervous about leaving her. Yukako immediately put our concerns at ease. We were able to bring her own bed, watch her on a live camera 24/7, and I received multiple photos, videos, and updates on her while we were away. If Luna cant be with us, Dozo is (hands down) the next best place.p.s. the online profile for scheduling and payment is an added plus!

If I could, I would give Dozo Dog 10 stars instead of 5. My wife and I had to leave our 4 month old pug with Dozo Dog for two weeks. While we were initially nervous about leaving her with strangers, we were quickly put at ease after meeting the owners of Dozo Dog (they are incredible) and seeing how clean the space was.Our pug was given her own space for the night, and was able to sleep in her own bed. They truly cared for our pug as if she was one of their own and constantly updated us with pictures and videos while we were away. To help put us even more at ease, they have cameras throughout the building so you can watch your dog at all times. There was always someone keeping an eye on the dogs and making sure they were playing and behaving correctly.The owners were even nice enough to give our pug a complimentary bath at the end of her stay. I could not recommend Dozo Dog enough, it is truly a wonderful dog day care where you know your dog is cared for. We loved the service and attentiveness of the staff, our dog had a wonderful time and will be back there for sure! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Love this place! We just started taking our dog here for some socialization and they took such good care of my dog. My dog was very anxious and fearful,, but one of the employees gave my dog special attention - she held him in her arms and walked around with him to make him comfortable. 🤍

I left my dog at boarding. My dog came out of there sick. Had to go to the vet and spend an extra 500$. On top of spending over 800$ in boarding. Both owners where super defensive and said they never did nothing wrong. They didn’t even offer 50$ of compensation for the vet fee. Would never leave my dog there and don’t recommend anyone either. (If i could give 0 stars I would)

Great place! They did a fantastic job on our Cleo, and the drop-off and pick-up was seamless! Will definitely be coming back for all her grooming needs.

We have a two year old Doberman and he absolutely loves going to Dozo! He started off shy, but has grown so much and made many new friends! The staff and owners are absolutely amazing and caring towards ALL the dogs. We love getting photos throughout the day and getting to watch on their camera feed. They take such care in making sure dogs play well together, the facilities are fun, clean, and safe!We especially love their special events! We’ve had our dog go to their pool party (which was super fun!) and were even surprised with some St.Patrick’s Day photos!We’ve also had him board overnight multiple times. They gave him so much space and attention to make him very comfortable. They give him private feedings and always ensure he as water and any toys we give him. We love getting videos of them playing even after hours! We absolutely love Dozo Dog and thank them for the amazing care they give our dog all the time!! I have been taking my lil guy (Odin) here ever since I got him (two years). This daycare is clean, spacious and ALL the staff is CARING and FRIENDLY. I love my little text messages through the day with photos and videos of my little guy playing with his fur friends. Yukako, Luis and Yenny are truly amazing they ALWAYS make me feel like Odin is in good hands. I Highly recommend if you’re in the Astoria area stop by the window you’ll be in love. 😍

We came to Dozo for our puppers first cut. He’s a 4 month old cavapoo and he needed a fresh cut for spring. Our appointment was for 9am however the dog ahead or ours was late for their appointment, which meant ours would be pushed back. We didnt mind as Kamijo (one of the owners) allowed Ralph to play with the other dogs in their daycare while we waited.Ralphs appointment started as soon as the other dog was done and I cant praise the groomer enough. Like I said this was our pups first time at the groomers so we were nervous. The groomer was gentle and patience with Ralph. Giving him affection when he was trembling. She was fantastic.The main reason we went with Dozo Dog for Ralphs first cut was the fact they allow you to watch. I had called a few places and noticed it was a common practice to not allow the pawrents to watch during the grooming process, which as a first time pawrent was a little disheartening. Well not at Dozo! We were able to watch the entire process. They have these big clear windows and it was so relieving knowing we were able to watch. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning. Four out of four paws, definitely recommend!

We were over the moon thrilled with this grooming experience. Typically our Aussie needs to be muzzled to get a groom. But, we were amazed to get a photo and video of Oscar enjoying his time with the groomer. So many dog groomers and boarders say they will send photos/videos, but dont deliver. But it made us very happy to get those updates and see him happy.Plus, he looks great. Probably his best cut ever. They got all his problem areas and went slow so that he wasnt pushed beyond his limits which trigger his aggression. Its just a wonderful cut. And we could tell it wasnt too stressful for him. Hes clearly feeling relaxed from the bath and groom. This is now our go-to dog groomer.

Our dog Hunk loves Dozo Dog! The owners and staff are super sweet and give us constant updates. I also love that they have an app that I can use to check in on our pup and see hows hes doing during the day. You can tell that the dogs are really cared for here and are comfortable. As soon as we go to drop off Hunk, he runs into the play area and cant wait to spend the day. I highly recommend Dozo Dog!

Dozo Dog is such a lovely place to groom or board your doggy. My pup really likes it there and the owners are really great, its clear how much they care about dogs. The place is super clean and chic, great facilities. I feel at ease knowing my dog is happy playing with other doggies and being well taken care of by the lovely people who work there. And its really nice that it is reasonably priced.

Helps teach good behaviors and always keeps the dogs supervised. They do a great job of keeping you informed on how your dog is going with detailed feedback that can be confirmed by checking in on the live cams

I needed to drop my anxious American Eskimo off for 9 nights of boarding and Dozo Dog was amazing. My dog, Hunter, is generally well behaved with other dogs but very anxious when Im not around, and even needs to be sedated when groomed. The owners at Dozo Dog allowed me to bring him in a few times before my trip so he can get comfortable before I leave. He was extremely difficult at first but warmed up to the staff after a few days. They sent me daily pics & videos of him, along with instant access to a webcam to check up on him. They were extremely attentive and I could tell they really put a lot of effort in to make him feel better, as Ive never left him for so long. Im extremely grateful that Dozo Dog was so understanding and patient with Hunter, Ill never go to another dog-daycare again. Thank you so much!

RUDE OWNER needs a little bit of customer service education. Didnt sound like a owner sounded like a 12 yr old kid on the phone. Accused me on the phone of my dogs records being fraud. HEARD THIS PLACE HAS FLEAS ANYWAYS ENJOY IF YOU WANT YOUR DOG SICK!

We take our 12yr old long-haired dachshund Peluche regularly here for more than a year now but it really feels like much longer. It has been the best investment we have made in caring for our pup when we need to take a trip without him. The owners are extremely nice and genuinely kind hearted people along with all the workers who take care of Peluche and other dogs as if they were all their own. From day care, grooming, boarding, doggy merch, and even training they have it all. Reasonable and fair prices for all their services make it for us the best doggy daycare center in Astoria and is the only place we trust for our Peluche.
