I used the mobile groomer Gabriel. Incredible! Such a great job, and Gabriel is so pleasant! He took his time and made Lucky look like a new dog! Please use them!! Zoom in to the before and after!!

They did an amazing job from beginning to end. My dog was not stressed. He is a big dog, but they were timely with is wash and cut. I was given a call and pictures to see if I approved the final cut or they would have updated it. Great service.

The two ladies were super friendly and the groomer was patient and kind. She cared for our Staffordshire Bully Terrior and he was quite nervous and wouldn’t keep still.

My cockapoo, Henry, has been getting groomed at Rapawzel for about 5 years now, since my move to Astoria. The staff and groomers are consistently kind. They really listen (I am particular about the hair styling!) and Henry always emerges happy and delighted with his new coif.

I have to say this is the BEST pet salon I’ve ever been! My cat, Apple had an amazing experience with them. He is usually very timid and shy and sensitive and he freaks out when being touched! However he’s been so calm and friendly while the groomer held him in her arms. He truly loves her I can tell! After we came home, he ate and slept well and stayed calm for a long time. I will for sure bring him back next time when he needs another groom! Also the front desk lady is so nice and she shared lots of helpful information and I can totally trust them! I’m so grateful that I found this place. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I took my puppy to this grooming salon, and unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. They ended up nicking her in not just one, but at least three different spots. I understand that accidents can happen, but this level of carelessness is unacceptable. I’m incredibly disappointed and would highly advise against bringing your pet here. Our pets deserve better care and attention than what this place provided.

I recently attempted to give my two baby dogs a haircut myself, but lets just say it didnt go well! Thankfully, I reached out to Rapawzel and they were incredibly accommodating. They took my fur babies in for a morning of pampering, which included a bath, haircut, and nail trim. Just a couple of hours later, I picked up two beautifully groomed dogs who looked and smelled amazing! I was so relieved, especially since it was their first haircut and I was worried it might be traumatic. But thanks to Rapawzel, my babies are happy and looking gorgeous. I highly recommend their services - they truly deserve their excellent reviews!

We brought our Darla in for her first bath after being adopted the previous week . Bruno and Delilah were amazing and they said she behaves so well. I could cry. Ill be making this my usual go to while living in Astoria

I had an appointment with Jonathan on Sat 7/13. He had my 6.5 pound dog in the van for 2hrs when I came out to see when he would be done I noticed he had his window cracked open slightly. When I knocked and he opened the door I was hit with heat. He had my small dog in the van for 2 hrs with no AC on. He then complained about how he was drooling too much and would not sit still. It was well over 90 degrees and he was extremely over heated . When I asked why he had no AC on he said he had the fan on. NOT ACCEPTABLE. It took my dog close to 3hrs before his breathing became normal and cool towels for his body to cool down. I spoke with the manager Michelly and she said she would speak with Jonathan and refund 50% of the cost and get back to me. Well I have not heard from either of them and surprise no refund. PET PARENTS BEWARE! Make sure that the groomer has the AC for your fur babies. I will never return and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Terrible terrible grooming place! If you love your pet do not bring your dog here. We hired the in-home services to groom our blind dog. The person arrived, groomed half of my dog and then text us that she was not able to finish the job because the dog was moving too much. We told her we would hold the dog ourselves if she could just finish because the job was already started. She stated no she could not and left. The way this was handled was very unprofessional. Very disappointed.

It was my first time booking with them and Gabriel did such an amazing job on my fur baby I loved how caring he was to detail and made my fur baby feel so comfortable I will for sure be booking again thank you so much !!

Awful. My wife specifically told the groomer to trim my dogs backside and not touch his tail. She did literally the opposite and cut all of the hair on his tail off. It will probably take a year to grow back. It looks terrible. How could someone do that after being told not to? Could not be more disappointed.

They did such a great job with my 16 year old dog! He has a ton of bumps on his skin and they took their time and were extra careful not to cut him. We will be back!

I’ve taken my new rescue there 3 times since I’ve had him and they do an AMAZING job. He is a very timid dog and they are so great with him. He always looks great coming home, and the little bandanas and bow ties are such a cute addition!

They were super courteous and accommodating. I was running late, and it was not an issue at all. Additionally, I wasn’t well prepared, as it was my first time, bringing my dog to the groomer, and I didn’t love the cut the first time around, so they were super nice and took him in for another touchup free of charge. I would give zero stars if possible and would not recommend this place for deceptive pricing and a bonehead attitude. Been taking my 4 yr havanese dog here for a few yrs, always charged the same rate for the dog size(less than 20lbs) and today the attendant arbitrarily charged a higher rate for a full sized dog, my dog weighs 17lbs and was charged like a 25-50lb dog. The attendant insisted my dog was much larger which is impossible for a pure breed havanese even after confirming the lower rate was charged for the previous grooming earlier this year. Avoid this place!

For my mini golden doodle I paid 144$I am okay with paying top price but when quality of work actually matches not for this type of choppy uneven cut. Please do better or get more practice. This is NOT ok

We used the mobile grooming service today for the first time and they were amazing! The groomer who groomed our golden retriever did such a great job! His coat was so shiny, well trimmed and I could tell he, our groomer, treated our dog with so much kindness. Would def recommend for anyone looking to book.

Book through email, fluid intake of Bella. Her first cut and nail trim. She looks beautiful, didnt know she had so many spots. So close to home and staff is nice, thank you Rawpawzel making Bella look good.

Do not come here! Do not take your dog here for grooming. Today I took my teacup maltese here and when I came to pick her up I noticed one of her eyes was tearing and smaller. I asked if they had eye ointment because her eyes were not like that before. The groomer said it was like that before. No it was not. Then she said let me take a look I asked if she had the solution because I already knew the problem. I came closer to her and she went with her dirty finger from Grooming another dog inside my dogs eyes. What a stupid person. Now my dogs eye is irritated. Anyone know you don’t stick your dirty fingers inside the dogs eyes. You use a cotton pad and have to be gentle. I already used an eye wash and still doesn’t get better. I’ll have to take her to the ver at this point. Do not take your dog here. Also the place is very dirty and I saw flies there. Pay more and take somewhere else. In Manhattan or whatever. The cheap cost expensive and stress you out. Owner didn’t even apologize.Update: Owner replied and is lying. She is not honest and she is the only one hurting her business. I never left and came back. I was all the time there. This all happened in less than 5 minutes. Also they overcharged me. When I asked how much would be when I made an appointment they said $60. Bill came $87. You can keep that money. Owner is just a bad person and groomer did a great job with her hair but likely made my dog blind. If she did the owner can expect to see me in court and I’ll take every penny from her and close her business. For the stress, the arrogance and for hurting my dog.You can see the picture that groomer cut my dogs hair uneven and too short. Horrible

The staff was so nice and respectful especially to my anxious chow chow. They communicated well and were extremely responsive to our inquiries. They took their time and did what they could with amazing results with my chow’s great haircut!

Alby has been going to Rapawzel for a year. Usually he doesnt allow anyone to touch him or brush him, even his owners and bites. However the groomers at Rapawzel are so good, that last time he didnt even need a muzzle. He enjoys going there and the service is the best. I have a 54 pound goldendoodle and it usually takes around 5 hours to groom him but Rapawzel has a team of groomers worth the trek from BK to Astoria given they are efficient and do a great job. It’s pretty easy to get an appointment and they are very professional. See photos for before and after. He is not easy to groom because his hair is so curly.

Our standard Schnauzer gets hand stripped which not many groomers know how to do. We were so happy when we called to inquire about hand stripping and were told they had a groomer who hand strips. Our standard is a little weary of strangers so we were a bit anxious with dropping him off until we got there and met the groomer, Nelson. It turns out he’s a huge fan of the breed. We let him know the look we wanted and he delivered! Our boy was also very comfortable with him throughout the grooming process. We’re very happy and will continue to bring our baby boy here. Glad we found this grooming salon.

****ATTENTION DOG OWNERS DO NOT GO TO THIS GROOMER ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A HUSKY OR A HAIR BREED****If I could add less than 1 star I would.This is my first time and probably the last time I will visit a groomer. I called to get my sepalla siberian husky groomed for the first time. I specifically instructed the coat to be trimmed down medium last I checked medium is about 50% of the length.They trimmed my huskys coat down to the skin, he looks like a sheep. Further investigation reveals that this level of trimming damages the Huskies coat. And there is a chance he cannot regulate his body temperature and will not grow back correctly.I called the groomer to see what she or he could do about it and all I heard were excuses, no refund no store credit nothing. I attached the pictures of my husky. You decide if you want to take your dog here.Also if the owner replies here is my already typed response to you: You messed up my dog and his future years to come, there is NOTHING you can say or do to justify your actions.

Over cut TWO of my cats nails that its bleeding. Got a flea removal and still unsure if they got rid of everything since she still tends to kick and itch.

My cat has been sick and having accidents on herself. I called and they were able to get me in within an hour to do a sanitary trim for her to help me keep her clean. The staff and groomer were so nice to her and did a great job. The entire experience was positive and I am very grateful.

Update:The owner reached out to me and was sad about what happened she was great and took care of Sparrow vet bill. He ended up having a right medial patella laxation. Meds were given, strict no jumping and strict rest for sparrow. Will see after a month if he is fine. Hope he will get better. Prayers for sparrow.Glad Rapawzel helped me and that they took ownership of the incident it can happened. Wish that in a different circumstances I am pretty sure they will have helped me sooner. Can’t say yet about grooming as I was not able to do so. I’ve only gone to this groomer twice and the first time around I didn’t have a problem. It was a smooth service.Today on the other hand, my partner dropped him off at 12:15pm. And let him know they he’d be ready to be picked up at 1:30 perfect. When I arrive to pick him up he’s not even being attended, except wasn’t even started. And they told me to come back @2:30. They shouldn’t waste people’s time like this

My 14 year old dog sparky, is an absolute nightmare to groom. He bites, squirms and doesnt relent in his resistance. Somehow, Renata was able to get his haircut perfectly done according to what I asked for, and he was in good spirits when I picked him up. Couldnt be happier with my experience here. And my dog desperately needed to be groomed, before and after pics included.

While I absolutely love the service and attention they provided to my pup, I do believe theres a bit of room for improvement when it comes to the pricing. Despite this, I wholeheartedly recommend their services to friends and family, primarily because of the exceptional care they showed to my furry friend. Overall, Im quite satisfied and definitely plan to return for future visits.

I had a great experience using their mobile grooming service. The staff were very helpful over the phone when I called to inquire about their service. They had availability for the same day and were able to come in earlier than anticipated. Gabriel was my dogs groomer, and he did a wonderful job with my dogs haircut. I have a Schnauzer whom I have taken to several groomers over the last 2 years who have not been able to give him the cut I wanted. Gabriel made sure he did his best to satisfy my request, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. This was without a doubt the best haircut my dog has gotten. I recommend him to anyone looking for a groomer who is both passionate and heavily invested in their craft.

My dog had the best grooming session here, he came back super clean and looking adorable, he is a little scared of the water and loud noises but they were super patient and loving with him! I will definitely come back and totally recommend this place to any dog owner!

I brought my yorkie to the Astoria location for a grooming and had a horrible experience. From the moment I walked in they were already trying to charge me extra fees. They didn’t even look my dog and already were saying that if she was matted that would be an extra charge. My dog was not matted thankfully. After two hours of not hearing back, I decided to stop by to see if my dog was ready. When I walked in all the groomers were crowded around the front desk looking at a video. They had left my dog, along with other dogs, on the grooming tables unattended. The front desk lady then proceeded to tell me that they were going to charge me extra because my dog was misbehaving. My dog is 9 years old and has been to multiple groomers and we have never had a problem before. Then the front desk lady proceeds to give me a dog that’s not mine. Once she finally gave me my dog they returned her without her collar. I had to return the next day to pick it up. Extremely unprofessional. Now when it comes to the haircut, it was bad as well. On her chest the hairs are different lengths, her genitals are not properly trimmed, her ears were not trimmed at all, and her face was hardly touched. The two most important areas, head and genitals, were not groomed properly I would assume to make sure we have to come back asap? Overall very disappointing. I don’t understand why this place has a 4.5 star review. I’m not taking my dog back.In response to the owner:First of all, my dog is a she. Second of all, she was not matted and we didn’t pay the extra matting fee because she was in perfect condition. Also, the reason they wanted to charge us the misbehaving fee was because she didn’t like the blow dryer not because she was biting during the cut, as per the front desk lady. Like you said, I arrived early and you had to finish cutting my dog in front of me so I actually saw my dog’s behavior and there was no problem. You should consider taking accountability and trying to improve rather than trying to turn it all around. Lastly, I forgot to mention two points in my first review. My dog came home with a super irritated eye. It was really red and she was having trouble keeping it open. I had to keep on putting eye drops in her eye multiple times a day and after 3 days the redness/irritation finally started to fade so I’m not sure what happened. Also, I realized that you never asked for my dogs vaccination records considering it was her first time at any of your locations. This is a legal requirement for all grooming center in NYC.

I have been going here for over a year for my pups grooming and they always do a great job! Very easy to book and I enjoy they text you right when theyre finishing up. I do recommend you confirm the date/time multiple times as twice now they told me one date/time but input another. I will be going here as long as Im in Astoria!

Rapawzel is the best !! My puppy cece has been going here for the last 5 months since I got here and I’ve never had a bad experience. Staff is super nice easy to make an appointment and my Cece is always happy. Cece gets so excited when she goes there and the staff is always so sweet to her.

Update:It is time for a new service! These folks are GREEDY and they rush. They do not have good prices they gouge. then they want tips on top of it etc.. I easily found another mobile groomer WHO CARES! He will not rush. has better payment options also.They sometimes do a great job and sometimes they dont! Very inconsistent. They are greedy and dont care about customer satisfaction. They love to charge extra! SO DONT PAY IT! Also they apparently dont take credit cards anymore so be aware that something is UP with this merchant. So greedy they lost their merchant account. I have been a customer for years and I have watched the quality degrade. Find another service!

We took our Daphne to Rapawzel for the first time in July. We had just adopted her and she was VERY matted. They did a wonderful job with her!! They were so loving and patient with our pup who can get a little crazy sometimes. The groomer made her look so fresh and pretty and gave us tips and tricks to help keep her looking fresh longer. We were so happy with the results and service that were headed back for a second time today!

Rapawzel was able to come out to my neighborhood and groom my dog since everything else was closed, and that was just amazing. My dog has gone months without a grooming so it’s fair to say he had quite a large amount of hair on him. He came out looking like a brand new dog. They did an excellent job with cutting his hair. He smells absolutely fantastic. He even came out with a little red bow, which was a cute touch! Very easy to get in touch with someone via text and booking an appointment was a breeze. Great experience!

This place is awesome. We took our dog Rusty for grooming they were perfect with him. He could be very difficult to groom him but they did the best job ever on him. He came out very happy.The staff are very professional and very friendly..Definitely we will be going back to this place. Will recommend to anyone .

I highly recommend Rapawzel Dog Grooming, Boarding and Grooming. My Shihpoo looks so cute when they have groomed her and she’s so happy. Demi has also boarded with them. Super happy to play with the other dogs. Rapawzel employees are kind and loving to the dogs and play with them. The perfect place for all dogs needs. Demi will be back for all their services.

Literally terrible. Took my dog in and asked specifically to not shave him down. Paid extra for de matting . Called hours later and personal didn’t even know what dog I was talking about. Finally picked him up and COULD NOT RECOGNIZE MY DOG. Gave me excuses for why they shaved him down. Literally had a panic attack. Get my dog groomed every few weeks at disco paws but was too impatient for an appointment . never ever had a groomer shave there shave my dog completely. These people here don’t care what you want, and obviously rather shave down a dog than actually do the work. Never again.REPLY TO THE POST BELOW:No, we did not have a conversation. When I brought in the dog in they said it would cost more to detangle or whatever. Totally fine, but I repeated many times to not shave the dog. . You could have given me a call with an update if anything, like other professionals would do. (with a simple phone call) the two minutes I spent panicking after, when I couldn’t recognize my dog, was accompanied by you and another person talking to me in Spanish and attempting to “get me to understand “ in a language I did not speak and somewhat translating but then resuming in Spanish.You didn’t even know who I was talking about when I called to see if the puppy was ready, even though I also asked to be called 15 before the process was done so I could make it to you in a timely manner.I know the hair will grow& I wish I looked at reviews here as I would have seen that all the dogs you worked on “”resulted “ in a shave down rather than actual HAIR CUTS.To each their own . But if someone trusts you with their baby at least give the person a heads up if you drastically ignored everything the person asked.(Look at the before and after below)

I am incredibly disappointed in the business practices of Rapawzel Grooming Salon and will not return. I have a domestic short hair cat who is just under 10 pounds. I called ahead and spoke to a woman on the phone and asked her the cost of a wash + deshedding for my cat. He did not need a haircut as he is a shorthair and I didn’t need him to be shaved down. I was told that the cost of the wash was $55 and with the deshedding, it would cost me $70 total for the grooming session. Great!I arrived at Rapawzel and dropped my cat off. 2 hours later, I received a text that he was ready for pickup. I decided to call the shop before going back in to confirm the total and was then told that just to wash and deshed my 10lb cat would cost me a WHOPPING $140. The girl at the front desk nicely asked to confirm with her boss as it seemed that she was the one I spoke with on the phone.So… I go to Rapawzel to pick up my cat and the girl explains that her boss “thought that I was asking for a quote on a dog grooming,” which she then quoted me at $70. I didn’t want to cause any problems, so I decided to just eat the cost because I didn’t want to make a scene. However, I am utterly confused and disappointed at how a DOG grooming can cost half the price or a cat grooming for a cat that isn’t even 10lbs. Unless they washed him with shampoo made out of 24k Gold and gave him a full body massage along with his grooming, I have no idea how this service ran me $140. And to make matters worse, I was then told that the total was actually $155 after tax, but if I had paid with cash it would cost me the flat $140. I didn’t know that paying cash made me tax exempt…. LOLEither way, though the girl at the front desk was sweet and my cat looks great, I will never return to Rapawzel due to the poor communication about pricing. I feel like I got scammed out of $155. You would think the manager would offer some kind of discount for the mistake she made when she quoted me over the phone, but here we are.If anyone can possibly enlighten me in what world a 10lb cat wash and deshedding costs $155 in ASTORIA, please hit up my line because I’ll be spending the next 24 hours dreaming about the $155 I could have kept in my pocket by washing my cat in my kitchen sink.Reply to your response: In what world is a domestic short hair a DOG and why would I tell you I have a DOG if I don’t own one??? To clarify, YOUR ASSOCIATE told me that “if you come next time, you can pay cash and not pay tax. 😉” ON TOP OF THAT, she charged me $155.34 and the sales tax rate in NYC is 8.875%. $140 for your cat grooming + 8.875% is $152.425, so your associate charged me the incorrect amount. Figure out your calculations and let me know!! 😘

Nice people and was able to book same day in an emergency. My dog thought a bottle of wood glue was a chew toy and I had to shave half his coat off. Brought him in after and they fixed his look quick.

I have come here a handful of times, and am usually always satisfied, but today was different. I called in to see if I could get an appointment for my toy/cup cottonpoo, and was told I could come in at 2:30 for a full groom. I dropped off my pup at 2:15, and was told she would be ready at 3:30. She was not ready until 6:45pm. That is 4 whole hours. They told me they were very busy, but my puppy had to sit in a cage for FOUR HOURS. My appointment should not have been given to me if they knew they were overbooked. It was extremely unprofessional and caused my day schedule to be all over the place. Not sure if I wanna come back. I am super dissatisfied and dissapointed, Rapawzel.

I have been using Renata for many years now. She is great with my senior dog. She or her assistants are always careful with mg dog since she has many skin tags all over. They have been removed by vet but keep coming back and Rapawzel is always careful. My dog never seems traumatized. She was traumatized in the past by other groomers. Now she is always happy and relaxed after I pick her up. I even used their mobile grooming and that groomer is so nice and gentle. Great experience all the time.

I just moved to Roosevelt Island and is my second time taking Rylee (Toy poodle )to you guys. I love it. They actually ask you how you would like your dogs hair and actually make it happen. Last time I took him was yesterday and Rylees hair was knotted and I was surprised that the groomer untangle all his hair for 15$ extra which I appreciate because my dog feels depressed if I cut all his hair off. I forgot the groomers name but he is amazing, both time he asked me if I liked how it looks and explained to me what should I do to prevent knots. My dog has being to different groomers and this is the first place that I feel comfortable leaving him and also confident that I will get what I ask for.First time I asked for a trim and the second time for a medium cut. I will attached both pictures. I love that he always gets a bandana. Thank you for your business.

Easy to book a grooming appointment and they listen to what you want and are clear with pricing and expectations. Everyone has been friendly and the groomers are great. I’ve had Toby groomed twice so far and it’s been a great experience both times!

I have a very feisty rescued Persian cat that has been really challenging for most groomers but Rapawzel did an EXCELLENT job. They were able to bathe her, groom her, and do her nails.Other groomers have been unable to bathe her and left her shaved in patches. I was super impressed by my experience here and Rapawzel is definitely my new go to!I highly recommend them if you have a cat that needs to be groomed!

Hi everyone! I brought my shiba inu in today for a full grooming service for the first time. He can be VERY difficult and try to bite when he doesn’t know you. I have tried in the past to muzzle him with other groomers but this never worked and they usually gave up and wouldn’t take him. I explained all this to the owner and she was AMAZING. She was not intimated in the least - she bathed him and talked to him to help ease and calm him down and she did not give up on him when he tried to show his teeth at her or attempted to get off the lease. I have NEVER left my dog at a groomer, I always have always requested to watch because I’m so nervous about how he will react, or god forbid he did actually bite someone, but I felt so comfortable and I just knew he was going to be okay so I actually left after his bath. I came back to see him beautifully groomed, smiling on the table getting his final touches from one of the other wonderful employees. I can’t explain how happy this has made me, this experience is usually absolute torture and now I finally have a place to take him where I know he is going to be safe and happy. Rapawzel is fantastic and most importantly my dog trusted them in his most vulnerable situation, which is a really rare thing. I can’t recommend them enough!

Absolutely horrid experience. After receiving very unprofessional and blatantly rude service- I requested to see the grooming license of present groomers that day and was told they are “in the process” of receiving certification… So the owner of Rapawzel knowingly hires unlicensed dog groomers? If you care about what happens to your dog when you aren’t around, I suggest you take your business elsewhere. Spending the extra 4 hours to groom and clean up your dog at home is more satisfactory than dealing with this messy establishment. You can tell these people aren’t animal lovers and are only in the business to manipulate pet parents for overpriced/ borderline dangerous grooming service. Employee by the name of stefanie is especially sketchy… very twitchy and looked straight out of the walking dead.

It’s hard to drop off your best friend anywhere but after trying out at least 6 different groomers before I found Rapawzel I confident that you can drop off your best friend here because I’m 100% will not try no one else again, they flexible with hours and appointments, the fact that everything they do to service the pets is in plain sight as you approach the store front, no hidden rooms that other places use to hold or wash the dogs and the owner actually listen to your request to how you would like your dog to be cut. But most of all I feel 100% that I left my dog in good hands. Give this location a tryout.

Great service, was very accommodating with a same day appt since my usual groomer is always booked months in advance I really appreciated that. Did an excellent job with my toy yorkie and he came home with a cool Halloween tie which was a nice touch.

We have gotten our dogs groomed here for over a year now. The groomer there during weekend is our favorite, he is really great with our sassy and difficult peke mix,

UPDATE 1/13:Changed my rating to 2 stars because they did a phenomenal job last time but a horrible job this time and I’m really upset with the result. Added photos with dates so you can compare for yourself.I’m working today and my boyfriend has the day off so he brought my dog in. He provided a list of grooming notes PLUS photos of his haircut from last time and somehow the groomer still messed it up. We specifically said to LEAVE HIS TAIL ALONE because it was a fluffy pompom and we want to keep it that way. We intentionally brushed him THOROUGHLY before my bf took our dog in so there would be minimal knots/matting and we know his tail was totally knot-free. There was absolutely no reason to cut his tail short and leave it as a sad stump. Additionally, the way they cut his face/head was absolutely bizarre. He looks like he has the dog version of a 70s bowl cut. My dog is normally happy and in good spirits once he gets home from the groomer because he’s happy to be back in our own apartment, but he seems sad and exhausted today and it makes me worried that maybe he had a stressful experience there. I wish we had gotten the name of my groomer last time because she did a phenomenal job, but the groomer who worked on him today is giving this place a bad name. I am never bringing my dog here again.—————-ORIGINAL REVIEW - 11/25Brought my dog here for the first time this morning and they did a wonderful job! I unfortunately didn’t get the name of the sweet lady who took care of my dog, but she was very patient and friendly. She asked what I was looking for and knew exactly what I wanted without me having to say too much. My dog was unfortunately pretty matted despite brushing him so I will definitely have to be better about that, but she very diligently worked out all of the knots that she could, and avoided shaving him. They even gave him a cute little bandana! Now he looks like a cowboy that lost his hat hahaha. Loved this experience and will definitely bring him back for another session in a month or two!

Renata is great and so are her staff. She’s very helpful to a first pet parent like myself and also tries to accommodate you even with their busy schedule. My little dog gets all the praises for his do too. Thanks Rapawzel!

After looking for a good groomer I found Rapawzel to be the best. Good prices and excellent service. My two standard poodles which are still babies, Pepper and Goldie absolutely loves them and that’s a good look. This is the company I’m sticking with!

My dog recently had dry skin. They gave her an oatmeal bath and that helps. She loves going to the groomer. I am happy with all of their services. I dont even think of going anywhere else. On top of their amazing service, they are the most convenient to my house.

Rapawzel is hands down the best grooming service in Astoria. I recently took my little labradoodle Scout for a full service grooming and I could not be happier. You can clearly tell they have a passion for animals. They listened to my input about the grooming and the outcome was even better than I expected. I had little hope after bringing Scout to three other groomers in Astoria but Rapawzel truly did not disappoint. Scout says thank you! For the haircut and he will be a repeat customer!

Super disappointed in the service here. My poor poodle mix has been butchered for the second time by Rapawzel. I continued taking my dog here after having a good experience my first time and unfortunately that has remained inconsistent my last 2 times here. I had brought him in August for a short hair cut not knowing they were going to shave him all the way down. When I came to pick him up my jaw dropped to the floor as the same dog I dropped off was not the same dog I left out with. Completely hated his cut. 3 and a 1/2 months later my puppy’s hair has grown back to normal and I’ve given Rapawzel another shot. This time I came with a picture of the exact haircut I wanted. I receive a call saying they are going to charge me a dematting fee but somehow can’t untangle the knots??? This makes no sense to me considering I detangled a lot of it at home.. they claimed they couldn’t do anything about it but shave it down as low as they did and they knew how opposed I was to it. I was confused considering the haircut I showed them was low but still very much full of hair.. when I came to pick him up I was extremely upset.. it was worse than the last time he was there. My poor baby looks sick and uncomfortable. Every time I look at him I feel so bad that I ever allowed them to do what they did to him. They took the easy way out with him and I refuse to ever return there!

Love, Love , Love!!! Was a little hesitant for the first time.... but what an amazing experience! First of all you can see the care Renata puts into the dogs.. she really loves them... also they dont have to sit and wait in crates like at most other groomers....her set up is awesome! The dogs were very happy and I am as well.. five stars for sure... wont go anywhere else now...

Finding a great groomer at decent prices is so hard in New York but I feel in love today ! My 1 in a half Maltipoo looks great, smells amazing & when I went to go pick him up he was sitting behind those cute little white fences they have, instead of a cold cage. They took very good care of my dog & even left out water for all the dogs that might be thirsty coming in ! 10/10 !!!! The exact haircut I wanted is what we came home with. Plus a bow tie ! 😊 they just gained another loyal customer . See you guys next time !

I took my Pomeranian, Coco to Rawpawzel and was very pleased with how they cut her fur and made her look pretty and even gave me a bow for her fur. She kept shaking the bow off so I put it on her collar. They really took good care of my Coco. I was so pleased that I recommended them to a friend of mine who is taking her dog, Bella, to them today at 3:30 pm. Thanks again Rawpawzel for taking good care of my Coco.

We have brought our dog, Charize to their grooming services twice and theyve done a great job. Their staff is patient and helpful. If we ever need our dog to be groomed, this is the first place we call.

Renata & Michelle gave my cat such a beautiful lions cut (with a bow!) My cat came in with stomach upset and a rash - they were able to clean her up & even used some of their pet ointment to help her heal at the end. It was also very affordable compared to most other places & my anxieties were definitely assuaged. Highly recommend Rapawzel. :)

First time here, only because my regular spot hasnt had a groomer for several months now and had to venture elsewhere (which all us dog mommys n daddys dont want to do once youve found the right groomer). Its a tiny spot around the corner on Broadway and 29th street I thought I would be able to sit in wait and watch but its literally no room to watch but outside, if your the really really nervous type. She told me 3-4 hours and I thought it was excessive but considering my baby hasnt been groomed in awhile, I understood (bichons hair tends to get curly and knotty. Michelle the owner came to greet me and assist her trainee and any questions I had she was more than happy to answerThey actually called me in 2 hours which was great and Hernan did an excellent cut and to my liking, which is very important. So Im very thrilled to have found somewhere new to go and feel at ease. Try it Mikey youll like it..lol.

They are very professional reliable and take very good of your puppy while in their care. Appointments are always flexible, and they try to accommodate your schedule to have your dog groomed. Thank you guys.

So easy to get in for an appointment. They literally got me in same day, on a Sunday, gave my Bichon poodle a beautiful cut and full grooming in two hours. Couldn’t ask for better service!

I have been taking my puppies here for many years. I come from the Bronx because their service is so good. Highly recommend.

Took my dog for a 12pm appt and she wasn’t ready until 5pm. I called after 2 hours to see where they were at and they said they just gave her a bath and would be another hour. So my dog sat there for close to two hours before even getting a bath? Needless to say the “hour” turned into 3 hours. My dog had her hair on her nose bridge shaved off and looked irritated. It was a poorly done job and couldn’t believe it for the amount of time she was there. If you can’t handle the volume don’t take appointments. It’s sad because we did like this place but we will not be returning here again.

My girls love it here! Renatta and her staff are, by far, the most professional, loving, patient dog groomers in the business. If you’re looking for incredible groomers, look no further. Rapawzel is the best!

I have been taking my little Yorkie to Rapawzel’s dog grooming boutique since they opened. The staff are very friendly and give my little guy the perfect grooming. He always comes out of there looking super dapper !

Giving this place 1 star because I brought my cat in to get her nails clipped to later on discover when I got home that they barely clipped them down. The worst part is that they didn’t clip three nails in total, which are still very sharp. I also got a price over the phone ($16), but in person they charged me $20 and said there was a miscommunication on the phone, how??? Very unprofessional and doesn’t seem like a legit groomer if you can’t cut nails.

Disgraceful business. Never going to use them dont care what other say. They are extremely unprofessional and always looking for extra fees. I paid $115 but they nipped him all over his neck , and they didn’t even brush his teeth when that’s what I paid for and they turned my poodle until a Chihuahua he’s a puppy only 5 months old

They did a wonderful job with our Cavapoo puppy - I think it helped to show a picture beforehand, so that would be my only advice. Definitely will come back.

First time dog owner. I brought my Stewie here for grooming and they did a fantastic job! I will keep coming back here for my puppies grooming needs.

I love them! A more reasonable price than a lot of groomers, the groomers are friendly, and they always add a cute accessory to my dogs fur that is always a surprise!

We always take our dog there; I’ve never had a complain the prices are reasonable but just to be safe request a regular stylist to cut ur pets hair.

BEWARE DO NOT GO!!! Used their mobile dog grooming service. My pomeranian came back with a swollen left face and blood shot eye. Immediately took him to the vet and the doctor said he was hit!! Do not ever go here. BEWARE! (Have proof of vet bill and texts between my mother and Jonathan)

Cookie has been going to Rapawzel since she was a year old.. she will be 6 in July and we absolutely love this place! The staff is amazing and they call to remind you of your appointment. They are also very understanding when needing to reschedule. Cookie always looks brand new when I pick her up and smells so amazing! Thank you for the past 5/6 years! I love the way they groomed my dog and how comfortable they mad her feel my dog is a recuse dog and doesn’t do well with new environments and new people they mad her feel very comfortable and they was able to groom her and make her feel comfortable and safe I’ve been taking her here for 3-4 years now I would travel to rapawzel if I have to I know my dog is safe and would be taken care of and made feel comfortable
