This is Neo’s second time being groomed at this establishment. Even though he is a difficult chihuahua to deal with, I immensely appreciate the staff’s patience and knowledge - they are clearly able to handle him and they are as gentle as they possibly can be even when he is being aggressive. He came to the appointment looking scraggly and now he is returned to me looking silky, groomed, and polished! I am VERY happy with the results and will continue to come back. I hope the before and after photos I posted are visible. What a difference! ♥️ thank you!

I have a small but reactive dog with an abusive past. Alexander is amazing, not only does he manage to get the job done, but he does it without further traumatizing her. I can’t thank him and the owner enough for taking her on as a client when they don’t have to. I’m forever grateful and I can’t recommend them enough. At the end you get a text with an adorable photoshoot, what’s not to love!

10/10, my 5 month old puppy looks amazing after his first groom! His fur was so dry prior to his groom, and now its so soft, shinny, curly, and smells amazing!! Though I asked for a bear face cut, it looks more like a poodle cut, but I love it!!! Here are before and after photos!! Thank you Tracy

The owner of Astoria Holistic Pets Spa cares so much about every dog ... he (and all of his employees) takes time to give my dog perfect haircuts, treats him with love and care, and takes extra steps to make the experience wonderful. The owner always sends my dog home with a picture from a themed photoshoot, a cute tie, and a dog treat. Best groomer ever!

They are the only pet spa that knows my cat and her favorite niche wants.Since she is a cat, she very much has anxiety every time she is away from home, but this place served her with care, respect, and love. Ever since then, she enjoys being in her pet carrier.The person that serviced my cat gave great advice on how to condition my cats fur, these guys are experts. If you guys are out of the Queens borough, go to these guys, they will respect and service your fur babies the best they can.

I brought my cat Georgie in for her first grooming ever and I was super nervous about how she was going to react. I needed a lion cut because she was very matted. Right away, I noticed how relaxing the atmosphere was in the salon. I was told it would take 2 hours but I got the text that she was ready after an hour and a half along with a very cute picture with her new haircut. When I got to the salon, I asked the groomer how she did and she told me Georgie did not like being handled around her belly and the back of her legs (which is how she got so matted in the first place there). Considering that, Georgie seemed calm in her carrier and the groomer even gave me a churu treat for her. I am very satisfied with my experience bringing my cat for her first grooming and I know Tracy was very careful and experienced with handling cats because she doesn’t appear to have any cuts on her. I will definitely come back with my cat and I might even bring my dog here next time for a grooming!Update 11/2/24Just picked up my cat Georgie and once again very satisfied with Tracy’s skills in working with cats and listening to what I wanted this time. Georgie seemed calm and not traumatized from her experience and I’m so grateful to have found a groomer I can trust with my long hair cat. I didn’t want a lion cut this time and asked for her mats to be cut along with sanitary trim and to shave her belly and armpits to prevent future mats and Tracy listened! Will definitely keep coming back.

My partner came back with our dog and she had a cut on her foot. I went to the vet and they confirmed that it would have happened at the vet since our dog wears shoes outside due to the heat. My partner went to talk about it with the owner and was being disrespectful instead of having a normal conversation. Pretty unfortunate that it had to go this route. A simple conversation was all it took but the owner had to take it disrespectful.

You can always tell how an animal reacts when being taken to a new groomer . My dog was just fine and actually wagging his tail as soon as we walked in. This spa has nice employees and a clear precise price plan. Scheduling can be done online , another plus. I was extremely satisfied with the cut and grooming.

The BEST cleaning my sweet pittie sharpei has ever gotten! We are visiting from California and was looking for a blueberry facial. They exceeding my expectations with having her come back to me sparkly clean, including her ears! The themed photoshoot was soooo special! Highly recommend!!

My furbaby Iverson received a grooming today on 10/03/2022. This was my very first experience with Holistic Pet SPA due to my regular groomer being on vacation. When I tell you they took their TIME with her. She came out looking fabulous and stress free! My puppy suffers from severe anxiety and didn’t show one ounce of it when I arrived to pick her up. They also gifted her one roll of orange colored potty bags and a treat that she devoured in less than 1 minute.10/10 highly recommend. They are true professionals and actually care about your fur babies. I will be a furever customer! Xoxo

Had a great experience here, the staff is so friendly and you can tell how much they care about animals. My cat Albi seemed totally undisturbed when we came back to pick him up even though it was his first time at the groomers. He smelled so fresh the whole day! Really appreciated the bowtie collar gift they gave us, along with a cute professional looking photo. Will be coming back!

I recently came here for an adoption event and holiday pictures for pets. It was the first time I met Yecid but it wont be the last. My foster dogs had gotten car sick and even though one of them is very nervous around strangers, my dog warmed up instantly to him and even let him blow dry him! The dog had never been around a blow dryer so this was amazing.Yecid is thoughtful, kind and really cares about the animals he grooms. I look forward to many more easy grooms and being treated like a friend and not just a customer.He also has some items for sale - like treats, toys and clothes which is great for the locals to pop in a pick something up quickly for their pet.

I cant expect more from Astoria Holistic Pets SPA!My dog hates water to death. He would jump over a rain puddle to avoid getting wet. My first groomer didnt finish her job and blamed me for not giving my dog enough bath experience. In fact, I used to bathe him 2x a week when he had skin infection.Astoria Holistic Pets SPA did a perfect job! The groomer not only finished my dogs bath but also did the haircut as I expect. They told me honestly that my dog is a difficult one to handle but they made it! The price is reasonable, grooming skills perfect! I dont know what else I can ask for.UPDATE: Cant believe they even desensitize my dog to blow dryer! I was drying my own hair and my dog came to me (which never happened before). I directed my dryer to him and amazingly, he didnt run away with bathroom door open and off leash.

They were so sweet and really go above and beyond for the pets they see. My cat was scared and in a lot of pain because his hair was all knotted. They took great care of him, sent me an adorable picture when he was done, and gave him a treat. They gave me tips on how to take care of his hair moving forward. Great people ❤️

Love bringing my cat to this place. My cats are not the easiest to groom but the care they get in this place is awesome. My cats live well groomed and not traumatized, definitely recommending this place to all my pet owner friends

The squeezed me in last minute for my 1 yo golden doodle who had quite a few matts in her hair. They did a great job with her cut and were super sweet and communicative! We will definitely be back!

I am bringing my dog Moqueca since she was a baby (she is 3yrs ) for her grooming and they do such good job on her grooming and she always looks fantastic after her grooming 🐶❤️

I took my senior foster dog here and Tracy did a fantastic job on Lucky. She gave him a great summer cut and you can tell that he felt good because he knew he looked good! Tracy took wonderful care of him and was very kind and sweet with him.

Too notch pet groomer. Truly passionate about their work and very professional. The one groomer my 90 pound dog doesn’t have to be dragged into. I will only go to this groomer and I don’t even live in the neighborhood.

This place is amazing. Our foster poodle was completely matted and we were told by some groomers that they could not help us. I brought our little pup in and she was very nervous so the groomer picked her up and held her and just kissed her little head to calm her down. Her haircut was so beautiful and she was happy as can be and it is growing out so nicely too.

Great experience with both grooming and boarding for my anxious bernedoodle. I can’t imagine taking him anywhere else.

This place means well, but our experience was not great.Our dog came back with an uneven hair cut, seemed very rushed.This alone would have been enough for me to not come back, but a few days later we noticed he had serious skin irritation and a possible skin infection due to the cleaning products they use.

My experience at this grooming is amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They way my dog looked was exactly as I wanted. Would definitely recommend this place.

This place is the best. We take both of our dogs here and Yecid and his staff are so amazing with them. They do a fantastic job and put our dogs at ease. The grooming is always thorough and you can tell they care about what they’re doing. I highly recommend taking your pets here! One of our dogs is enormous and they do an incredible job and he’s always excited to see Yecid. The other one has some behaviors with getting her nails done and he is very understanding and he’s able to take care of her nails pretty seamlessly.

I love bringing Benji here. My 2yr old shihtzu has been getting groomed here ever since I got him. We tried another spot before here but they cut him and I wasn’t happy with their service. But here at AHP Spa he gets treated so good, he always comes back home looking handsome and smelling fresh 🤩❤️

I don’t even live in Astoria and I come here to get my dog groomed. The moment you walk in you can tell how different it is from other grooming spots- it’s calm vs the usual chaos. And the cuts are always great. I would highly recommend this spot.

BEST DOG GROOMING EVER! my dog always cried and fought whenever i took him to the groomer. I tried several places, same thing. When i take hime to Astoria hollistic spa he runs in to meet the groomer., tail wagging and all. Ive never been happier.

I took my 12 year old dog here for the first time and was very happy. Yecid did a great job grooming Ella’s hair and was very kind. I look forward to bringing my other dog in and booking more appointments in the future.

This place is awesome! We took our cat here for the first time for her first grooming ever so you can imagine how nervous we were initially. Yecid was very patient and kind over the phone and answered my questions and was honest with me! The pricing is great, compared to other places in Astoria. Moon is typically an anxious cat, but Yecid handled her with care! Definitely will be back :)

So I’m in such disbelief as to what I experienced. On here the dogs look beautiful and happy etc. but not my dog when I received her. What you see on here is a facade. My dog looked terrified and afraid. Which makes me think I should never take them back. She was shaking and just wanted me to hold her for the rest of the day. But to my horror as I was petting her and cuddling was that she was not done right! Her fur smelled like someone took a flat iron and fried her hair! Then it looks like he just brushed the edges of her hair to make her look nice but if you look closer she had matted hair that you can tell he was in a rush and did not want to take the time to actually brush it. My dog did NOT have matted hair to the point you can’t even put a comb thru it. Ugh NEVER AGAIN! GOOD LUCK TO THE SHOP THOUGH AND EVERYONE WHO GOES TO IT!

Yecid is a most wonderful groomer. Very professional very caring always puts the animal first and does an amazing job. As all groomers vaccine proof is required of the groomer can be fined. I highly recommend! He is an animal whisperer!

My fur baby and I felt welcomed as soon as we enter the shop. Yeciel is friendly, loving, and caring towards your pet and gives them such a spa experience. Pets deserve their spa days as well and this place sure knows how to keep your pet and you happy.

My cat “Mr.Moon” is a long haired anxious kitty so it’s a hard finding a good reputable groomer. From the minute we walked in to the pick up he was calm. Tracy was excellent in the way she handled moon, the haircut itself was pristine! They send me this picture, gave him a nice bow and a treat for the road. They have a life long customer. It was the first time I took my pet to get groomed and it was a great experience for my dog. I loved how happy and affectionare he was towards the groomer after getting groomed. I recommend this groomer as they were very good and understanding of a pets nature.

My pup is usually anxious and scared at the groomer, but he was totally fine when I picked him up and they send you the cutest photos with backgrounds when your pet is ready. My dog looked so happy in the photos which is such a relief to see.

Lola is a difficult one to groom due to past trauma but they do such an amazing job each time. We always appreciate the patience they have with her 🥰

I have a sweet, fluffy little dog who is afraid of her own shadow. She absolutely loves Yecid (who is so sweet and patient with her) and he gives her an amazing haircut. Would recommend to anybody looking for a groomer!

I’ve been taking my dog, Sebastian to Yecid for over a year now. Sebastian loves him, and I love the way Yecid takes care of him as well.You can tell how he truly loves animals and how he cares for all his clients. I especially appreciate his honest system and his work ethic.

I called last minute on Sunday for a grooming and the owner was able to fit me in for a 6pm slot which i was very appreciative of. I researched the establishment and saw great reviews. Well, after my dog being there two hours i went to to get him and noticed my dogs deminor was changed. He was very skiddish and wanted no parts of being there which is strange because my dog loves new people. The groomer Yacid had told me my dog was very difficult and that he cut my dogs nail a little too much and that my dogs uncontrollable bleeding was worth taking him to the vet because its “abnormal”. Yacid when ringing me up was falling asleep and i was hoping he was not the one grooming my dog this whole time. When i got home to inspect my dog he was limping because Yacid cut his nail so short that his nail split and he couldnt even walk on his foot. Not only did this careless nail cutting hurt my dog but it looks like a toddler cut my dogs hair. One side is longer than the other his face was cut unevenly as well as no fluidity in his cut. He was chopped up and looks like a stray dog. I am Extremely disappointed in the service the only positive was that Yacid was extremely understanding of my dissatisfaction and is giving me a refund. But i will never be back. Good luck if you decide to go here.UPDATE: after posting this review Yacid calledMe screaming saying he will not refund me the money because I wrote this review about him. So I am sure the only reason he has only positive reviews is because he pays people off when they’re dissatisfied.

I took my Puppy (Sugar) for a bath and haircut. I usually warn the stylist, because my Sugar tends to bite at times. Fortunately, that did not happen. I was surprised when Yecid told me she behaved well. I believe she was comfortable, letting Yecid do his job. Definitely going back!

They did an incredible job dealing with my very scared and sensitive dog!!! She is extremely difficult during nail trims and they made it work.

Yecid is the best!!! He goes above and beyond when trimming my dogs nails. Its definitely not her favorite thing and Yecid never rushes us or gets frustrated he just stops calms her down massages her head for a minute and keeps going truly deserving of a five star rating

Did a great job with our dog, Duke. They were informative, polite, and efficient. They did a great job with his trim and even tried to give our Corgi the heart butt (even though hes not quite fuffy enough). If the cut wasnt a good enough reason to go, the staff there was super nice. It is a bit out of the way for us, but well be going back simply because of the staff.

Yecid cuts my Goldendoodle and always does a fantastic job.

Would not recommend got there kind of late to my appointment so the groomer was rushed because he wanted to close and after I had left the place I had noticed a cut under my dogs left leg near her chest. Have never experienced this with my dog. Thankfully it healed two weeks later. the haircut photo was a nice gesture but the cut was not done well and is messy and uneven. Will never go back here ever again. She did smell good after the cut. Even the price for the cut was taxed. I’ve never been taxed for a haircut. I would have appreciated the groomer telling me to reschedule than doing a bad job and cutting my fur baby. I’m very upset at the way they treated my dog. This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Yecid took care of my Mia though she was difficult to handle and she doesn’t like strangers but he did everything that I asked for and it came out perfect.
