They always do such a great job with my pooch! He looks so cute!! I cant get over how awesome they are at Yayois! Theyre so much faster than other groomers in the area, they do a quality job, theyre affordable, and they can usually see your pet the same day you call, if not, then the next!

I have never been so impressed! I took both of my dogs for grooming and they were ready for pick up 2 hours later!! Any other groomer takes 4-5 hours minimum. Im new to the neighborhood and Im so glad to know I have a reliable groomer near by. Both of my dogs came out looking flawless, which is a first especially for a first time visit. And you absolutely cant beat the price! I highly recommend this place!

I have taken my dog and 2 other family dogs to get groomed and they always come back looking great! I would recommend taking them early as suggested by staff as it can take 2-3 hours, however keep in mind it’s for 3 dogs. They never leave the hair too long to make you come back sooner like some groomers.

Very unfriendly. She cut through my dogs skins and they bled ! I was willing to forgive this, it happens. BUT then, another time, she kept my senior age dogs for 6 hours straight in the cages for no reason, i was on time for the appointment, but she just made me wait until other ones get done ! Yayoi, you should be ashamed of your disgusting rudeness, and cruel treatment to my dogs. What kind of person does groomer being like this ? NEVER AGAIN. PLEASE AVOID.

I have been coming here for over 10 years with my Havanese. Always perfect cuts, never had a problem once.

Do not take your dog here. I repeat do NOT take your dog here. My dog- Francesca, came out of here puking and we had to rush her to the emergency hospital at the animal medical center and paid a 1000$ bill for the negligence and abuse my dog suffered here. I remember all my shih tzus would come out of here trembling and extremely lethargic. I am under the impression that the team here gives our animals something NOT GOOD prior to grooming.

Been coming here for 12 years or more, and 2 dogs. Best groomer in Astoria, my dog looks and smells great for weeks after a visit to Pet Star Grooming.

I used this place once for my pug. Never again. She came home with blood in her paws. They had cut her nails horribly. Don’t go there.

I recently moved from Astoria to Corona & started taking her to a new grooming place & it was horrible.. my baby came back with cuts & had an allergic reaction to something they used.. now i take the bus all the way back to Astoria just so she can continue to go there.. At Pet Star they always remember my dog(Queens) when i call to make an appointment & they always work around my schedule.. haircuts are great & they treat my dog with love & care!

I stropped by this store just to get my dogs nails cut because I am afraid to hurt him by mistake and would rather someone else be the bad guy since he hates having his nails cut. They did a great job and it only took less than 5 minutes from true moment I walked into the store to the time I walked out and it only cost me 5$, Since then I have been going there for three years to get my Malteses hair groomed and I have never had a complaint. They do a great job and I am very glad I found this little store.

Hello. I brought my sphynx cat here today for a nail trimming. The lady screamed at us in the nastiest way when we entered. After our cat came home, we found him with wounds and scratches all over his body. Mind you he has no hair so we saw it clearly. This woman also trimmed the cats nails too short which led to bleeding.

Yayoi is THE BEST!!! My CoCo has been coming here since she was a Puppy! The staff do an EXCELLENT Job and Love my Doggy!!!
