NYC Pet Nanny Cat Sitting Service

This person was rude over email. Not understanding or kind. Couldve just left it at not servicing my area, or couldve been kind in educating me, but decided to be hostile and rude instead. I asked if they would be able to see my senior cat (with an automatic feeder, water fountain, cat camera, and plenty of toys) every 2-3 days. This older cat doesnt care for strangers, doesnt play with people, and sleeps all day. She decided to be rude rather than just educate me on a cat needing to be checked on once a day, advice I am happy to take. It takes very little energy to be kind and to give people the benefit of the doubt. But this person continues to be rude and accuse me of being a neglectful and bad pet parent. Take this and her response as you will.

The best thing about this business is that it’s run by someone with high standards and who truly loves animals. I feel comfortable with Alexia caring for my pets. Alexia has an incredible work ethic and is most importantly trustworthy. She cares for my cats as her own. As someone who worries a lot when I travel, I know I can rely on NYC Pet Nanny to care for my fur babies. That means everything to me.

We (my fiance and I) use NYC Pet Nanny , for ALL 7 of our cats, every single time we go away! We do not trust anyone else to watch our babies!! My experience with NYC Pet Nanny was a 5 star one. The lady who runs this service is an honest trustworthy lady, very good with the animals she takes care of.... they just fall in love with her because of the care she gives. I would highly give her information to to anyone who may need her services. She is tops. I rate her the highest, so i give her a 5 star rating! She worked for me a total of three 1/2 weeks straight, for the care of our two cats, she had to care for them feed them care for their litter box and then some. She had the keys to our home, which is why I feel she is the one for you, again very trustworthy, and honest.

Alexia is amazing! I used her services for four years (just moved out of the area) and always knew my cat was well taken care of. She genuinely cares and always sent updates when I was away. She even takes time away from her family on holidays to make sure her clients are taken care of. Could not recommend NYC Pet Nanny enough!

Alexia and her staff are amazing. Always willing to go the extra mile to help and make sure that your FurBabies are very well taken care of. Our pup Basil, who isnt very affectionate, freaks whenever she sees Alexia jumping and whining and just really happy. Alexia and her team have been walking and taking care of our Gus since he was 8 weeks old--he is 3.5 now! I am always able to count on her and her team and they not only take such good care of Gus, but he loves them all. It is so nice to know I dont have to worry about Gus while we are at work all day!! I am not sure what we would so without NYC Pet Nanny!!! They are the best!!

The BEST pet sitters - Im so happy I found Alexia and her team!! I found them through Yelp & my life has changed ever since! I can finally travel and be 100% worry-free about my precious cat :) Unfortunately, I needed a drop-cam camera in my apartment after bad experiences with other pet sitters (1 example is coming home early from a 4 day weekend away to find the sitter NEVER came and the cat had no food no water and poop collecting for 3 1/2 days only to tell me I thought you wouldnt be home for another 2 hours ?!??!?!!). When I switched to NYC Pet Nanny I didnt tell them I had a camera and I saw the love as soon as she came in. Played with my cat for the full half hour - cleaned and gave him food and water. I never thought someone could love my animal as much as me but these ladies are TRUE animal lovers and it shows in their wonderful work. They even bring your mail in and they stay in touch when needed - like if my window is open when its raining, if my precious Pauly knocked something down, or if my doors unlocked - they stay in touch when needed and I really appreciate it! Dont go w/ any pet sitter in the area - NYC Pet Nanny is the only TRULY professional, reliable, animal-lovers in the area :) So much so that I no longer need my drop-cam :)

Alexia is a responsible, responsive, ethically-minded business owner. She goes out of her way to take care of pets and to accommodate their people. More than all this, shes simply a good person. Shes kind and committed to animals and their well being. And every dog walker we every worked with was incredible.

NYC Pet Nanny is THE BEST service in Astoria. All of the walkers are kind, responsible and loving. I never worried one second. They leave detailed notes and always contact me if they see something that I might have missed. There is nothing comparable.

Alexia is incredibly kind to all her animals and goes above and beyond to be helpful. For example, I mentioned to her that I was on my way to the vet. She said shed take me, so I offered to compensate her for her time or at the very least gas. She politely refused and said it was no problem since it was on the way. Amazing!

Nyc pet nanny was like leaving my fur babies with my mother. they were happy well care for and more important with people who love animals so missing mom was that much easier for my dogs. I highly recommend this Crew for all pet sitting.

Alexia is a thoughtful, caring and thoroughly reliable caretaker. Prior to my moving out of state, we partnered to care for a feral cat colony. I would hire her in a heartbeat to care for my fur babies.

Extremely unprofessional and nasty please see the photos I posted of our emails and texts. I applied for a job as a dog walker and apparently they dont hire dog walkers to be dog walkers meaning they take people off the street with no related experience. Dogs cant just be walked you need to understand how to handle them, keep them safe, and know dog behavior and how to respond to it well. Again see photos of nasty texts and emails. Any dog lover would not deal with such a nasty person I sure wouldnt want someone who blows up and curses for no reason and is stupid enough to leave the evidence around my dog because I love my dog.

I simply inquired a month or two ago about her sitting services and, similar to many others apparently, was met with impoliteness and condescension. Take your business elsewhere. She’s building a reputation for herself.*********Owner (Alexia) is not mentally well. Extremely rude (see other reviews both here and on Yelp) for further detail. Can fully appreciate and admire her passion for animals, but she needs to learn that kindness to animals is not mutually exclusive from common human decency and respect. If her goal is to advocate for animal welfare, you can’t alienate people in the process. She’s shooting herself in the foot both as a business and an animal caregiver.

Can’t trust someone like her to look after my fur babies. The way she treats veterinary staff is DISGUSTING. How can you treat someone who has the same passion as you with so much disrespect for no reason

While this person clearly takes good care of the animals (and its all about the animals...as it should be), note that their personality can be a bit challenging at times... I guess Id say they are better with animals than humans.

Called to discuss possibly booking a consultation for a cat sitter but the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and cut me off in the middle of speaking several times. They do not accommodate possible new clients and although they are not booked for Christmas, they will not even speak to anyone who might be a potential new client. I will never recommend this service to anyone.

The dog walkers at NYC Pet Nanny are super reliable and Alexia, the owner, is very diligent and a great animal advocate!

NYC pet nanny Astoria is outstanding! Alexandria went above and beyond taking care of my 2 cats when I went on a vacation. One of my cats became terribly sick and she brought her to my Vet office! My cat had to stay at vet entire time I was away, Alexandria updated me on my cat and went above and beyond as a cat sitter!
