Terrific dog daycare! My dog gets so excited as we pull up to the building. They have many spaces outside and inside, and can accommodate different sizes, levels of activity, and the staff is so attentive. I just love taking my dog there. Oh! They also have a live stream of each separate room/space so you can check in! The best!

Emily and her team have been great with our pup, Bear, as he adjusts to getting time a doggy day care. We’ve appreciated their onboarding/trial process and the overall value offered by their pricing/hours. We are very thankful to have them as an option for our dog and highly recommend them.

While on vacation in Rochester, our dog, Savannah spent a few days at Dogs at Play. We were very pleased with her care. On the second day, she was thrilled to go back. The staff is very attentive and helpful! We were able to check in on the webcams and it put our minds at ease that she was having a good experience!

My dog absolutely loves coming to day care at Dogs at Play. If I wasnt as careful, she would try to jump out the window to get in there sooner. Has been extremely helpful in socializing her as a puppy. The owner and staff that work there are all fantastic as well. They know all the dogs by name and are so great with them. The best part is my dog is completely exhausted and ready to sleep the night away after I pick her up. Definitely recommend to anyone!

They take great care of my standard poodle for the day. I’ve been a customer for 12 years and have no worries or complaints. It’s very convenient if you work downtown.

I have been taking my dog here 3 days a week for a little over 3 years and have nothing but good things to say about this place. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and my dog really likes them. In fact as my car rounds the corner to drop him off in the morning my dog can hardly contain his excitement! To me this speaks volumes! Im extremely picky about my dog and I would never ever take him any place else. The hours are great, the prices very fair. Great place for your dog to spend the day.

My daughter takes her dog here and they love it! He gets his exercise, you can even watch online to see how your dog is interacting with the other dogs. Its a great alternative during the winter when the dog parks are less desirable, worth every penny!

I have been a customer of Dogs at play for three years. If I did not believe completely in their ability, that would have been one day. My dog is my family, and I do not lightly trust his well-being to anyone. I was referred to Emily and her staff by both my vet and the trainer at my local humane society. I heard excellent things, and went to see the way it worked. I was impressed, and made an appointment to bring my dog in. They spend time with your dog before he or she joins the group there - they dont just take anyone with a handful of cash. Since then, they have watched after my dog a couple days a week, and when I pick him up I hear how his day was, what kind of interactions he had, and whether they noticed any health concerns. He is a happy, well socialized dog because of his time there. It is a well run, safe facility staffed by people who enjoy what they do and care for the animals in their charge. I can see my boy on the webcams, and sometimes see his picture on their facebook page. I recommend Dogs at play to anyone who wants their dog to be safe and cared for when they cant be with them.

We have a very fearful Boxer with Separation Anxiety. He has been going to Dogs at Play for about 2 years. He LOVES it there! They are so good with the dogs and know who will play well together. Emily has a wealth of knowledge regarding dog behavior.

Dogs at Play has been very helpful socializing my young German Shepherd. I see the benefits of bringing him because he is more calm at home and he has much better interactions with other dogs when we are on walks, at the park, etc. Its also really helpful how attentive the staff are to the dogs and they are willing to feed Cooper lunch if he stays a whole day. I love being able to see the dogs on the webcams too! I would recommend Dogs at play to anyone in the area looking to socialize their dog family member and give them some fun while you are at work.

I have boarder collie mix and she has been going to Dogs at Play for 2 years and it has been the best place for her to play, exercise so when she gets home she is very tired. During the summer they have the pools out for them to play in and the workers do play catch there. Everyone that works there is friendly and highly recommend bringing your dog.

If you take your dogs here for daycare, make sure you watch the cameras regularly. They do absolutely nothing to correct any type of dog behavior, and most recently I witnessed the staff member smack down a dog. I IMMEDIATELY called and nothing was done about it. The person on the phone didnt seem concerned at all, and only said she would check to see what was going on. She also told me all of the behavior was normal play. A dog being pinned up against a wall by two other dogs who looks distressed and is trying to get away is not normal nor acceptable. I sent an email and requested to speak with the owner and/or manager and I received a lackluster response that the dog in question would be wearing a harness next time hes in daycare. Not only is that uncomfortable for the dog, but dangerous for all the other dogs trying to play with him. NOTHING was said or addressed about the staff member putting her hands on the dog. I am disgusted.

We adopted our dog who is a shiba inu/shar pei mix about two months ago. We Started training with Bob Minchella next door who is absolutely fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. We decided to give dogs at play a try and have been so pleased with it. I called and spoke with Emily about some resource guarding our dog has with food and attention with other animals only. Our pup wants all the attention when it comes to us, has never bitten another dog but gives a warning. Emily is very knowledgeable and spoke about how dogs at play operates. No treats are given and the workers dont interact in order to avoid any jealousy that may lead to a fight for dominance. Any rough play is stopped before it escalates with someone in every area watching the dogs. If a dog is naughty, needs alone time or worked up they will crate to settle things down. They take every precaution in order to give your dog the best experience. Our dog is not crate trained which was one of my concerns with a daycare but she explained the only time they do crate is for the above reasons. The crates are quite big, more like a fenced in area so if you have any concerns of your dog being put in a small crate it wont happen here. You can see the size of them on their webcams. The first day we brought our dog she was hesitant and Emily new exactly how to handle her with letting her sniff around and then when I was ready to take off I picked the leash up and handed it to her. She knew both of the breeds and explained that they are very cautious which explains the hesitation. Within a short time our dog was adjusting and now goes in with no hesitation at all. The staff there is so friendly. There are a lot of dogs and our second day I was surprised they remembered our dogs name when walking in. They greet you with a smile, are calm and leave you feeling that your dog is in the best hands. Watching the webcam throughout the day they are constantly on the go, it made me tired just watching them take care of everything. Great job guys! They are extremely hard workers and cant thank them enough for all they do in taking care of our dog and giving her and all the best social experience Possible. Thank you!

We have had numerous issues at this daycare. Sometimes they seem overcrowded. Our dog came home from every visit dinged . I watched the webcam and staff does not interact with the dogs unless there is a big issue. They use bleach for the floors.. which is not pet safe ..He came home with a torn collar from another dog biting it. I could go on and on.. They always had an excuse when questioned.. ZERO STARS

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the most unprofessional business Ive ever had to deal with. After filling out my application and putting what breed my dog was, they turned him away because THEY DONT TAKE HIS BREED. My dog is a huge English/American Bull Dog mix who would never HURT A FLY. From the moment he walked in he was forced into a cage and they called my fiance to tell him to come pick up our Murphy because they couldnt have him there around a sweet little lab. What dog isnt going to go crazy if you make him stay in a cage (meanwhile he was adopted from a shelter) while the other dogs play? They made rude comments about my dog and created a breed restriction that doesnt exist. Most unprofessional business in Rochester.

Not sure what I would do without Dogs at Play! Weve been coming for almost two years and not only is it a safe and fun place for our dog to be during the day, the staff is always recommending tips for behavior, etc. Being able to look in via webcams is such a wonderful bonus! Dogs at Play has my highest recommendation!

I love this place. There’s always so many dogs for socializing! The people are so kind and hardworking. They have 2 outdoor yards that the dogs use pretty much all the time. The pricing is the best in Rochester. They also have streaming video of the different rooms not a lot of other daycares offer this. Take your fur baby here for some fun!! Your dog will come home TIRED!!!
