Our cat just finished his second stay at Paws and Claws. The staff are kind, accommodating, and the communication is amazing. Leaving pets while traveling is stressful but we got an email around 7:00 every morning with several photos of him having some playtime and it helped put our minds at ease that he was safe and well cared for. We feel very comfortable leaving our kitty in their care

Just completed the teenage puppy class with Jeff, and it was one of the better experiences Ive had in the process of training my puppy. Jeff is highly knowledgeable and helped boost the confidence of both me and my puppy. The classes include a huge number of resources distributed by his partner Fran, which allows you to keep working with your puppy for a long time. I highly recommend this class to anyone and everyone!

We just completed Jeff’s teen puppy training with our dog Duke and it was great! I highly recommend! He really understands the nature of dogs and is a very effective trainer! Our dog learned a lot and more importantly, we learned how to reinforce the behavior we want and discourage what we don’t want. We will definitely be signing up for more classes with Jeff!

Our dog stayed here for for the first time recently. I left a detailed set of instructions about her medication and told an employee about her medication and dosages upon drop off. Despite this, my dog was returned to me with almost all of her medications and doses unused. They did not administer over almost all of her medication. They only used two of her pills. My dog was shaking, crying, escalated, barking in our faces when we arrived and we instantly knew something was off. Both my spouse and I made requests for a staff member to call us as the manager at the facility at time of pick up indicated she knew nothing about our dog’s situation. Why our dog was there and she knew nothing about her is another question…Finally after emailing a request in writing a manager called me and said a staff member made a mistake and this was why she did not get her medication but that they gave it to her twice at night and “she didn’t seem anxious there.” I told her that was for her behavioralist who is a doctor to assess and not the boarding staff. It was clearly detailed that her medication was to be administered daily. The manager told me she could have the owner call me. I am still waiting for that call and that was on 12/24/24 that we spoke. She indicated they don’t give life dependent medications to dogs there. I can’t help but think it is because their staff oversight and poor care for the dogs would put their lives at risks if they were on medications like that. My dog was not feeling well and has been on her medication several times a day for about three years. She could have had significant medical concerns and withdrawals from her medication. She was used as a bait dog in the past and has been through so much trauma before her life with us, we saved her from being euthanized. The last thing she needs is to stay at a new place without her medication that supports her needs. We want to give her the best life we can. When a facility so blatantly disregards a pet’s care and makes it so obvious they do not care like Paws and Claws did they should not be in this business. The owner could not even apologize or reach out. I would never trust my dog to go here again.Also- during the tour I asked an employee if they take the dogs collars off in cages (as this is a significant known danger to dogs) she said yes. During drop off I mentioned it and the employee said they don’t do that in the facility and we’d have to ask specifically for a collar or harness to be off her while caged. I was initially lied to. Another safety concern putting community pets at risk. Our dog has been to a couple other facilities with our move for boarding before settling here and they always safe guard dogs from having collars and harnesses on in their cage area.

We have boarded our dog here and it is always a wonderful experience. The communication is excellent and the daily pictures are an absolute joy. The staff are kind and attentive. Paws and Claws has been the best boarding experience in the area. A big shout out to all of you.

We boarded our girl here for our wedding and had the most incredible experience! The daily pictures (including a special wedding pic) showed the happiest dog in the world, making our mornings so bright. She was THRILLED and very obviously enriched and cared for. For about a week after we picked her up, all she did was sleep! Tired dog = happy dog! She takes daily medication and wishes every other animal would perish which makes it hard to find a boarding facility we can trust to keep her safe (and any other animals) without her just being trapped in a crate. We are so lucky to have found Paws and Claws! Everyone here works together SO WELL to accomplish the incredibly difficult and nuanced task of providing such a high level of care. I love my dog more than anything so to say I would trust Paws and Claws to watch her ANYTIME, I really mean it. They’re the best!

I took my shih tzu to Paws and Claws for a dog training course with Jeff Bushorr. Jeff was an excellent trainer. He was very personable and super sweet with all of the dogs. He provided great education on dog behavior and positive behavior reinforcement. I highly recommend him.

I am very happy with this place. I booked last minute last week and they were able to accommodate all 3 of my cats! Not only was the communication great, they sent pictures of my babies every day so that I knew they were okay :) I will definitely be using this place again! You definitely get what you pay for.

Canine Good Citizens’ recent class was run by Jeff and his assistant Dan. Though we met only 1 hour, once a week, my dog and I learned the skills needed to pass~demonstrating the importance of practice!The human (handler) is the true student. The dog (beloved- animal-friend) is the reward we work toward. If we hope to modify behaviors and achieve certain skills with our dog, we first learn how to teach. P&C’s trainers teach the humans to teach their dogs!Through our training we ask our dogs to work with us and we stand by our expectations. Positive reinforcement is the only method deployed.Humans are expected to be consistent and reinforce (as homework) in order to effectively teach their dog.5 stars- Comfort and safety level within the building, class and with the instructors.5 stars- encouraged to ask questions and ask for help5 stars- cleanliness of the environment5 stars- professional, kind, empathetic trainers.5 stars- fun, interesting educational, worth the cost of the course5 + stars- Jeff’s two dogs…Thor and BamBam are wonderful, intelligent, loving dogs. Cutest mascots Ever!!!

Paws and Claws is a wonderful, well run, clean, and safe daycare and boarding center! The staff truly care and go out of their way to make sure your dogs needs are met and then some! My dog Ivy loves going to “school” at Paws and Claws!

Our puppy loves going to daycare and we cannot say enough good things about our experience so far. From daily photos to the first day report card Paws and Claws has gone above and beyond with their highly personalized daily notifications for pet parents. I would highly recommend to anyone we know looking for daycare/boarding!

My two dogs go to Paws and Claws for grooming and honestly - the entire staff and Jess (groomer) are absolutely stellar.We’ve had some horrible experiences at other groomers and Jess is expertly skilled and incredible - especially in working with my two (100lbs each) furry dogs.

Our pup has gone there for three years, it’s the only place we trust when we go out of town and need boarding! The staff is always so helpful and genuinely care about the animals. Plus they send cute pics!! I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Paws + Claws and the training programs with Jeff! We have taken 3 training classes with our pup, Blayze, and have had a beyond amazing experience each time. Jeff truly loves working with dogs and my pup can’t get enough of him! He has helped us learn so much about Blayze and how to communicate with him properly to set him up for success, and Blayze has gained so much confidence as a growing teen puppy. From daycare, to advanced training courses, we will always recommend Paws + Claws over and over again. 11/10!

I absolutely love paws and claws and so does my pup! Some might consider me to be a bit particular when it comes to the care of my fur baby and this facility and their staff fulfills all my needs! They not only run an amazing daycare but also do a wonderful job with grooming!! The staff is friendly, responsible and accommodating! Highly recommend!

My pup Sadie and I recently completed the teenage puppy class. I was very happy with the class and our trainer Jeff. Jeff does a great job of teaching tips and techniques not just for the dogs but for the dog owners too. Even learning a simple command like “wait” has significantly improved Sadie’s day to day behavior. That command gets used before feeding, entering and exiting the house and car and has made for a more enjoyable experience with her. Thanks to Jeff and I wish I had known about paws and claws sooner.

My dog Ozzie and I just completed adult good dog class with Jeff. It was fantastic! Jeff is so professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. He’s the dog whisperer! He makes you feel so comfortable in asking questions and if you have a specific concern with your dog what to do. I see such a huge difference in Ozzie since we started 7 weeks ago and it’s all thanks to Jeff teaching Oz and me how to communicate, and giving me the skills to get Ozzie the best training. I highly recommend Jeff and paws and claws! Thank you for getting Oz and me together!

10 out of 5. My pup doesn’t do well alone in the house so finding a place for him to stay over a weekend was a challenge. But Paws took him in and he was a changed lil man.Paws gave us constant updates on how he did and what he was up too. Very extra, but I don’t trust any other place to watch our dog other than Paws and Claws. Highly recommend for a weekend stay.As a side note, we’ve taken our pup here for grooming for about a year now and they do an excellent job. Paws is an awesome place.

Love that I can drop my dog off and never worry, whether it is for daycare or boarding we love it here. And more importantly my dog loves it!We took training with Jeff here also! In seven weeks the difference in my 1 1/2 year old lab is outstanding! I can not recommend them enough for all your needs especially training! Easy to understand, practical training. Jeff Bushorr was an OUTSTANDING trainer. We came with our seven (7) month Lexie, King Charles Cavalier. His knowledge of the various breeds and behaviors is extensive. He provided wonderful insight, tools, examples and personal experiences that helped us tremendously. As he said patience, consistency and 10-15 min. a day, will ultimately give us a well trained pup. The step-by-step training materials provided were/are/and will be a great reference as we work on each area to help our little Lexie be a good girl. We have targeted the key areas we needed her to master upfront, and will definately be working through the others. All the training Jeff provided, along with his wonderful encouragement was so helpful. HIGHLY recommend Jeff as a trainer for any dog or age they may be. Thank you Jeff for such a great experience!

I have been taking my Golden Retriever, Cooper, here since he was a puppy. He always has the best time, comes home exhausted and happy. I get him groomed once a month, and couldn’t be happier with the quality of work the groomers perform. Emily and her entire team treat every animal that comes through their doors like their own, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for any dog or cat boarding and grooming needs!

Nobody cares more about the welfare of your furry family than Emily and her staff at Paws and Claws Pet Care! They are experienced, caring, and highly professional. The new facility is crazy cool and Willow loves when we combine her grooming appointments with daycare.

We have been to several pet day cares in Rochester over the course of our dogs 5 year life but Paws is beyond anything we have ever been to. It is literally Disney for Dogs. I was blown away after our tour of the facility. Molly has done day care and an overnight stay. And loves it. The even mention of paws gives her the zoomies. We love it. And hope its around for a very long time.

Just completed a training class with Trainer, Jeff Bushorr. Jeff rocks! He is obviously a trainer who loves the dogs and encourages both them and their people with positive feedback and affirmations.Jeff really helped Peanut come out of her shyness and grow in confidence. We could see her progress week to week. . . and she couldnt wait to get inside the training room to see Jeff!We highly recommend Jeff Bushorr or Fran Schoenfeld sho has also worked with Peanut. Paws and Claws is very fortunate to have Jeff and Fran on staff.I might add that we use Paws and Claws for daycare a couple of times a month and the staff is extremely attentive, friendly, and they energetically greet you with valet service bringing the dogs in and out. Wonderful business!

Paws and Claws is the BEST daycare! My dog Maya LOVES to go there and I am grateful for the feeling that she is loved and cared for by the staff there! I cannot say enough about this place and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND it for everyone with pets.

I have attended other obedience classes with other dogs and trainers over the years - this was the best! We have a stubborn young beagle (Max) and Jeff Bushorrs training (Teen Puppy class) was extremely helpful and fun. Jeff went above and beyond, including a private session when we were unable to attend the regular class one week.I was impressed not only with the classroom instruction but also the detailed follow-up emails covering what we had learned in class with homework exercises to continue at home during the week.I wont say that Max is a model citizen yet but hes a heck of lot closer. Hes still a beagle and still wants to follow his nose wherever that takes him. Previously though, I couldnt distract him from that (his nose), almost like he was in a trance. But now were even working on heel by my side and that requires his attention to me even over his nose - if you knew Max you would agree - thats an amazing development.I had to laugh when Jeff queued up Pomp and Circumstance on graduation night for the graduating pooches, but it was fun. We will certainly be back for follow-up training. This was worth every penny!

My pup loves boarding here when we go put of town. We also have her groomed here and they do a much better job than others in the area I have tried!

Jeff did a great job leading our teenage puppy training class. It was amazing to see the progress our Milly has made in just a few weeks. The class really provided us with the knowledge and skills to bring out the behaviors wanted and knew were within her. Using the positive reinforcement methods they teach just 10 mins a day made a big impact. Time and money well spent! It was also pretty fun to watch Jeff with his dogs Thor and Bam Bam, seeing what is possible if you invest the time in your dog.

Super friendly staff and beautiful HUGE facility with multiple daycare rooms based on your dogs energy/size. Our 5 year old dog loves going to daycare and weve had multiple wonderful experiences with boarding him too! They send us photos every time he there! Love the contactless valet drop off and pick up!

A wonderful facility that will take EXCELLENT CARE of your pet as if it were their own - EVEN IF IT COSTS THEM PROFIT. I feel our dogs are safe and well cared for here at all hours and rest easy knowing I will get a call if something changes. Our senior dog, who always loved coming here, recently began to get stressed when away from home (natural, due to age and medical conditions). They were concerned enough about her well being that they called to let me know and offer a shorter vacation which was in her best interest. They treated her with compassion and respect, recognizing that while it was not an emergency, she needed some extra assistance and would do best at home. They kept me up-to-date, even on days they were closed, communicating when updates would come, discussing best plans, and answering any and all questions I had. I will continue to use them now and in the future. Thank you to everyone who took such good care of my pups! 12/5 best doggo care facility

Mallory did a wonderful grooming on my little maltese who was very nervous. My little Riley is getting older and Mallory was so kind and gentle with him.This was my first visit to Paws & Claws my groomer in my area of Bristol is not available any more. I can see that Mallory loves dogs and i want to thank her for taking good care of my little man. Thank you again Mallory Riley looks adorable.

Our young dog had a great 6 day stay and seems well adjusted after returning home. We received photos of her every morning with her friends ❤️

Boarded my 1.5 year old golden here twice and he had a blast! I honestly think he was sad to be home and not with the new friends he made! Love that they send pictures daily with an update on him! We will definitely use again in the future.

Brutus and I just graduated from Jeff Bushorr’s teen puppy class. Jeff was great and very knowledgeable about how to best work with my very anxious rescue pup. We are going to sign up again to reinforce and continue working on what we learned!

I have been taking my dog Sierra to the training classes with Fran and Stacey since she was a puppy. They are both wonderful! Fran has an extensive knowledge about dogs and training and she will not only answer all of your questions but then follow up by sending a related article to you as well. The classes are small and well organized. I highly recommend these classes and the puppy socialization hour too! Sierra is going to miss them both now that she has graduated with her Canine Good Citizen certificate!

My pup loves paws and claws. He has so much fun playing in the water park during the summer and in the snow during the winter! Hes a high energy dog that comes home happy and exercised!

Paws and Claws staff made my dogs stay a very happy experience. He had so much fun! I loved the daily photos of him and my granddoggie. The staff are so caring and friendly. And my dog had the best grooming ever! I look forward to Yoshis next stay there.

I was extremely nervous in leaving my dog in the care of someone else while I was away due to her behaviors. The staff made sure all of my questions were answered and took all precautions necessary to make sure everything went smoothly! I cannot thank them enough for the wonderful experience!

We just boarded our three dogs for a week at Paws and Claws. Two older dogs have never been boarded before as we usually have home care. The staff are amazing, friendly, and excited to talk about the pups. The daily photos were greatly appreciated and it was fun to see the older dogs playing!Our puppy has gone to daycare and she loves it! She comes home completely tired out for two days! Pictures on the website are true to reality but being onsite is awe inspiring. the owners have taken great care to all details to make this a fun place for dogs and staff. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

We started going to Paws and Claws when it was still operating out of Emily’s house and it was wonderful then and even more amazing now. Our golden doodle loves to go to daycare there and board when we are away. There’s no hesitation when we bring him there - he dashes toward the play areas. Emily and all her staff are so wonderful. They are super responsive on email as well. The pricing is comparable to other options in town but Paws and Claws’ facility is by far the best I have seen. We will be life long clients.

This place is the best, we love it and so does our dog, Sam. Each time we board him there he comes back re-energized, happy, and puppy-like. We have complete confidence in this business. Definitely Sam approved.

I started using Paws and Claws for grooming services when it was still in Emilys house so I was beyond excited when she moved into a bigger facility and was able to accommodate more dogs for daycare. My dog loves going to daycare. We have also boarded our dog a few times and everything went smoothly. I really like how clean the facility is. My dog always comes home happy. She never appears to be stressed out or comes home smelling like urine as she often would when going to other day cares. I appreciate the pictures the send via email instead of just relying on Facebook for updates. I have recommended Paws and Claws to numerous co-workers and friends. Paws and Claws is great!!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience leaving our 13 year old cat for boarding for five days. They provided daily updates and photos and were very reassuring. We rarely board her, she’s is very sweet but older and change is hard for her … she definitely likes her routine. The few times we have in the past, she had not done very well but seemed to have a wonderful time there, ate well, playful and looked genuinely happy in her pictures. Unbelievably caring and thoughtful staff would highly recommend Paws and claws pet care

We just completed an adult dog class with Jeff Bushorr. My dog and I loved it! The class content was practical and useful for every day situations. Jeff has a great demeanor with both the people and their pets. He individualized his instruction and gave me more confidence in handling my dog. Would highly recommend!

We have been taking out Boston Terriers to Emily for over 4 years (back when she boarded dogs in her apartment on Park Avenue) -- we have been more than satisfied with the care and now with the new facility, we are 100% impressed. We have not used the daycare yet, but we recently boarded all three of our dogs over the Christmas Break and the comfort of getting the pictures daily and update messages and seeing them having fun or just relaxing is priceless. Emily and her staff obviously love the animals and have created a great place for them. Would not hesitate to recommend Paws and Claws for anyone looking for a short stay or longer stay for their furry loved ones! Plus as other advisors have stated -- the facility is spotless and doesnt even remotely smell like animals. My dogs are excited to arrive and excited to see us (but thats after 10-11 days of being boarded). Love the new Paws and Claws!

I highly recommend Paws and Claws! A lot of thought and care went into opening this place - the facility is incredible. The whole layout and atmosphere is unlike any daycare we’ve sent our dogs to. It is so clean and they have multiple different rooms to separate the dogs depending on size and energy level. They even send you pictures of your dog playing during the day. Whenever we go in they are well organized, clean, and efficient. You can tell that all of the staff and especially the owner Emily, care deeply about their clients and would do anything for our four legged friends. If you are looking for a professional and trustworthy company to watch your fur babies, 100% call them!!

We send our two pups to Paws and Claws for daycare as well as boarding when we are out of town. They do a phenomenal job! We get picture updates daily of our pups and they’re always having a great time. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. They always know which pups are ours- which I love! We know our dogs are well cared for and get the attention they need. Staff members have even snuggled with our dogs while we were away on vacation. They are the best!

Paws and Claws has been fantastic for our shepherd. We had started bringing him for daycare once a week last year and it was amazing to see how excited he would get pulling into the parking lot. Wed get an email while he was there to show what he was up to and always he seemed to be having fun. The best part was once he got home, completely pooped. We never had doubts about his safety and knew he was in good hands.Over the past weekend, we used Paws and Claws for boarding and could not have been happier. The daily updates from the crew at Paws and Claws was a bright spot of our day, seeing the pictures and knowing out guy was all right. Well definitely be leveraging the boarding and daycare in the future and would highly recommend Paws and Claws for anyone thinking about either.

It is hard to believe Paws and Claws has only been open for 3 short months! They already run like a well-oiled machine. Their boarding, daycare and grooming facilities are absolutely incredible. Their is SO much space for all dogs (and cats!) to roam and play and interact with other friends. If big/little dogs arent comfortable interacting, they have a separate space for both. The daily schedule they have for pets boarding helps put my mind at ease when I have to leave my furbaby for extended periods of time (they even have a room with a couch and fireplace - how cute is that?!). The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Emily is a wonderful owner and when free/on premise, greets each guest at the door when they arrive. I also love that they send daily photos of my pup when shes there so I can see how she is doing throughout the day. She always comes home with a smile on her face and has to sleep off all the running she did while there (for 2-3 days after!). My dog runs up to the door when she knows where we are - so I know they take really good care of her. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone!

I cant say enough good things about Paws and Claws! All of the staff are extremely helpful and very responsive to any questions or concerns. The facility itself is incredible, they have done an amazing job designing a space that is safe and engaging for the pups and people! As a bonus, they are a full service facility. They have boarding, training and a grooming salon on-site which is so helpful, especially for nervous dogs who dont like unfamiliar environments. My dog has a bit of separation anxiety and she LOVES daycare. She cant get away from us fast enough in the AM to play with her friends and we have to practically drag her out at the end of the night. I appreciate that they separate dogs by size and temperament, so I feel safe having her there, knowing the staff really pay attention and care that the dogs have a positive experience. I am adding to/editing this review since the owners reached out to me immediately about my initial experience and assured me of the care my cat received. They accidentally forwarded their communications to the wrong email, so I had never received them. They forwarded them immediately to the correct address. Given what I saw and read from the forwarded emails and the communication with the owners, I feel that my cat was well taken care of. As for the comment the young woman made, the owner said they will be using this as a teachable moment to their employees, that this is a first job for many of them. I can tell this is a family business that the owners take pride in and care very much about. They were as disturbed about my experience as I was and wanted to set things right******************************************This review is for cat boarding only. We boarded our cat here last minute, as we found out he required twice daily medication just before a short trip. The description we received at drop off said we would receive daily pictures among the other descriptive items that were more appropriate for dogs. No photos or updates were received on our cats stay. Upon pickup, I mentioned this. The young womans reply was that most of the workers dont like cats, think they are evil. Yes, the word evil was used. And I left my beloved cat here. So now I am left wondering whether the cat received his meds or any kind of attention at all.

The staff at Paws & Claws took incredible care of our dog and gave us wonderful peace of mind that she was comfortable & happy! We boarded her for a long weekend and received daily pictures and updates - I was very impressed with all they did to keep us in the loop during her stay. I also appreciated the cleanliness and layout of the building; the owner, Emily, took great care to design a place where dogs can be boarded safely and have all the comforts of home. There are several trails around the facility as well and I was relieved our pup had a healthy balance of indoor/outdoor time. Thank you Paws & Claws, we’ll be back!

The staff at Paws and Claws were so helpful and kind to us and our Golden Retriever. We brought him for a day of fun and grooming and he was so tired when he got home! He loves other dogs so it was really nice to give him some time to play and knowing he is in good hands makes us happy! Definitely reccomend Paws and Claws to anyone, we will be regulars for sure!

Paws and Claws is a beautiful, new facility. I have taken my dog to a few different places and this far exceeds any of them. Emily did a fantastic job creating a space that is fun, well organized and spacious. Rocky has only been to the day care once so far, we are building up to a Christmas time extended stay, but from all the pictures I received while he was there, it was clear he was relaxed and having a good time. The dogs are separated by size and temperament which is good for Rocky since he prefers dogs his size or smaller, he is a Cavalier King Charles. We are scheduled for another play day next week and we are looking forward to it.

Her smile says it all! We have been going to Paws & Claws since it opened last year. We can’t say enough positive things about this place. Thank you for loving our pup when we are busy!

Emily and her staff at Paws and Claws are amazing! Were so excited theres now an awesome facility for our dogs in penfield. We have sent both our dogs overnight for boarding, just for the day to play and grooming sessions they absolutely love it. The facility is also beautiful.

We have brought our dog here a number of times for boarding services while out of town and have never had any issues. My wife loves the email updates with pictures we get. And you can tell how much our dog likes it here by how excited he gets when he realizes where we are when we drop him off.

We visited Paws and Claws and had a temperament test for our dog. We were so impressed! The facility is is so warm and pet friendly and the staff were friendly and so accommodating. We look forward to having them care for our dog next time overnight care is needed. Thank you!

They are ok….we were pet-sitting for one of our friends and had gone to pick up the baby. The understanding was that the fur-baby will be bathed before we picked him up but they just groomed him. I am not aware if there was an extra charge for bathing vs grooming but I’d expect at the least to tell upfront that they did not give a bath. So, not a good experience but then again we have taken their service only once.

We have a 5 year old dog, and a 5 month old puppy. Our older dog attends daycare occasionally, and loves it! We love getting photo updates of her playing with new friends, and shes tired out when she gets home. Our puppy has been attending puppy socialization classes, which are MORE than worth it! Including our own puppy, Ive seen very timid, shy puppies completely transform in a matter of weeks to become playful, curious, and confident.Bringing a new puppy into our home, we wanted to make sure both dogs were set up for success, so Jeff came to do an in-home session. Our 5-year-old dog is very leash reactive, and both dogs bark a lot when people come into our home. Jeff showed us how to help them be less reactive when people come into our home, and walked us individually with each dog to understand pain points. We have tried some of the training Jeff showed us to help our older dogs reactivity, and its made SUCH a difference already! Our dogs loved him, and he was very patient and affirming. Highly recommend Paws and Claws, and Jeff for training!

I’ve been taking my dogs to Paws and claws for about 4 years now, back when Emily was still working out of her house! I’m so happy I found a place I trust with my dogs after having a bad experience with a different grooming business. I now live 40 minutes away but having a peace of mind when I drop them off is worth it to me! I have a Pomeranian who requires full grooming and a hound who only requires nail trims. They always make my Pom look so handsome after his grooming. Thank you for always providing top care!

We have boarded our 2 dogs at Paws and Claws multiple times - the most recent visit was for 2 weeks. The daily pictures and updates showed them having a great time. One of my dogs is a rescue and tends to be shy and sometimes reactive but she has made amazing progress meeting new people and dogs. The staff is FABULOUS! I cant say enough good things about Paws and Claws.

I cant say enough good things about Paws and Claws. Being the first time boarding our dog, I was apprehensive to say the least. However Paws and Claws made me feel like they were treating our pup just as if he was their own. We got daily updates and photos, and they truly will do anything to make sure your dog is receiving the best possible care. Every instruction we left was followed, allowing us to know that our dog was cared for the way he would be at home. Paws and Claws goes above and beyond, even going so far as to go out and buy/ prepare our dog chicken so that he would take his medicine. They even sent us a specialized photo with a congratulations sign, as we were away for our wedding. It truly put us at ease, and allowed us to enjoy our trip knowing our dog was being cared for. Our pup came home happy and tired from his stay with his new BFFs! We will go here again and again!!

The owner Emily & her staff treat my dog like their own! I’m extremely picky who takes care of my dog. The place is spotlessly clean. Emily runs a “tight ship” & is very detailed. I love that someone is there 24 a day! All the concerns I have with boarding kennels Emily has covered, etc - security, air exchange, fire protection, vetted employees. Emily makes sure everything is done her way & her way is top notch.

Our two pups seem so much more relaxed when we pick them up here than they had at other boarding spots and daycare spots. The atmosphere is very calm and well-organized and the entire place is very well-managed. We really like the fact that dogs are separated according to their size, and i believe our guys do too. The facility is beautiful and when we pull in, our dogs get very excited, unlike other places where they are reluctant to get out of the car. We have great confidence in the owner and the staff and highly recommend.

If you want your dog to contract kennel cough, then bring them to Paws & Claws. Don’t take my word for it….. call Perinton veterinary or Bayview animal hospital and ask their opinion on Paws & Claws. I was told to stay away and unfortunately I didn’t. My poor dog has contracted kennel cough from Paws & Claws twice in 5 months!!!!

Paws and Claws is an outstanding! The facility is clean and so thought out, and the staff are welcoming and kind. Penny goes for daycare and grooming. When we turn down Linden Ave, she begins to whine with excitement, and when we arrive she runs right in. The groomers are great. Im a bit particular on Pennys cut and she looks perfect when they are done.

Paws & Claws is absolutely amazing! Our puppy comes home from doggy daycare and is exhausted. Paws & Claws goes above and beyond by sending picture updates of what your pup is doing during the day. I would recommend them time and time again!

We first learned about Paws and Claws from a friend of ours. We took our Cavapoo in for a quick visit and to tour the facility and we were wowed! We booked a weekend for him to stay and when we picked him up yesterday he was so happy and it was obvious that he was well taken care of while we were away! What an amazing first boarding experience for our pup. The whole facility is so clean and well maintained. We were able to add on a grooming before we picked him up and Brittany did a fantastic job bathing and trimming him. We will certainly book with her again! Oh, and they send pictures of your pet while youre away so thats fun to see as well. Many thanks to the Paws and Claws crew, we are so happy to have found a fun & safe home-away-from-home for our dog.

This was the first time Ive boarded my dog. The dogs day was split into various activity blocks. Dogs are brought outside to use a trail system, and also have group play/social interaction times. Dog owner is responsible for bringing food in individually packaged meals. Grooming is available, priced separately. Bedding, food/water bowls provided, but you can supply your own.When I picked my dog up she was clean and excited.I will definitely utilize the services again.PS: Photos are taken of your pet and sent via email or text on a daily basis.

Amazing facility and Emily and her staff couldn’t be kinder or more great with our dogs! They are available for us last minutes when needed and always willing to accommodate with any help we need with them. They do everything from grooming to daycare and long vacations. Emily has been watching our dogs for over 5 years and I never have to worry when they are in her care. Our dogs love going to Paws and Claws.

Our dog has been attending daycare with Emily at Paws and Claws since 9/2017 and loving every playdate she can get! My puppy, Milo, and I met Jeff during puppy socialization. I began talking to him about some of the behaviors that Milo was starting to demonstrate and wanted to correct. He provided reassurance and encouraged me to enroll Milo in his teen puppy training, I did such. Milo has grown a lot throughout the lessons. Also, Ive grown and learned how to be a much more confident owner. Milo no longer nips because of the methods Jeff taught me. This was a significant problem for Milo. Also, with Jeffs assistance, Milo has improved with leash pulling. I can walk him more easily than previously. Ive developed several strategies for my energetic dog with Jeffs assistance, as well as ones that work with my schedule and my time limits. If you’re considering Jeff’s class, DO IT! Your dog will go through transformation, trust me you won’t regret it!

I can’t recommend Paws and Claws enough! It is clear from the moment you meet Emily and her staff that they care deeply about every animal that enters the facility.I was blown away the first time I toured Paws and Claws - it is beautifully decorated and always clean. I’ve toured a lot of places in Rochester (I won’t take my dog just anywhere), and in all honesty no place compares.I won’t send my pup anywhere else! My dog is obsessed and even knows the word “daycare” now. She has a BLAST every time we go. I will also be using their boarding for sure next time I go away.

My dog loves it at Paws and Claws. The staff is very friendly . The indoor facility is amazing. I know my dog is receiving the attention she wants and the exercise she craves. We have boarded her once at Paws and Claws, and will again. The trail walks were really important to us as she loves sniffing everything.

Our dog gets so excited when we tell her she’s going to daycare! We’ve done the training, daycare, and grooming for her there. She’s been going since she was 4 months old. She is a great dog because she was well socialized and gets lots of time to play there. I love receiving pictures of her playing so much. We have other daycares closer to us, but we make the trip to Paws and Claws because it’s the best in the area.

We have taken the teen puppy class as well as the advanced adult dog class with Jeff Bushorr. Jeff is an excellent trainer!! Our dog, Bailey, loves going to class and we have made so much progress while having a lot of fun!

My 80lb. dog has spent 2 overnights and 1 full daycare day at Paws and Claws, and we’ve been extremely happy! Most of all, we appreciate how clean it is, and that he smells good when he gets home! They have IV technology in their HVAC system which kills germs which other local dog daycares don’t, and my dog has gotten kennel cough twice at other places. This is really important to me, so I appreciate their upfront costs to make a much better experience for all the dogs and families!

From our first visit, we and our big black lab, Kaine, knew that Paws and Claws was the place for him! The staff is excellent, the facilities are top knot notch and our dog loves it there! Everything is very organized and when our dog is there, we know he’s being well cared for and having a blast making new friends. As soon as I turn down the street, Kaine is going crazy knowing he’s going to Paws and Claws!!

Our dog has anxiety, especially around other dogs, but the staff has managed to exceed our expectations at keeping Luna happy as evidenced by the happy pics we get every day. We adopted a rescue puppy that was very afraid of other dogs. We went to a puppy training class with Jeff and had amazing results. He was patient, knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about training dogs. Jeff gave individual pointers to his clients depending on their dogs needs. Every week we worked on different skills and were given supplemental articles and tips. I would highly recommend the training here with Jeff.

Boarded our Cairn in June for a week, loved receiving daily email with photos. Highly recommend daycare and boarding. Review from Last Fall: Used the daycare for the first time today for our Cairn Terrier while were doing a kitchen remodel. We were very impressed with Emily, the facility and the staff. More daycare is planned for the duration of the remodel and anticipate using the boarding in January. Great experience, highly recommended!

When my husband and I toured Paws and Claws a week after they opened, we knew immediately that was the place for our baby boy Diezel (7 month old German Shepherd). He attends daycare a few days a week and after a full day of indoor play, he is so exhausted that he sleeps the entire ride home back to Victor. No more anxious pup!! We boarded him over Thanksgiving and received daily updates and photos of him interacting with his fur friends. The place is super clean, no kennel stink at all and every single team member is warm and loving. Emily, thank you for providing such an amazing place for my pup to feel so at home and loved ❤.

Belle loves Paws and Claws! We started going for baths. She is always so fluffy and smells amazing for weeks after. We decided to enroll her in Daycare twice a week and it has been the best thing for her. She has learned how to socialize and is so tired when she returns home. Literally have to spell daycare cause if we say it she runs to the door and whines because she wants to go. Just luv this place.

Brought my dog in for grooming today. she has been in every 2 weeks for nail trimming. today was the first time I had her groomed there. I am so happy with how she has been treated there.the person that I have had trimming her nails is Tyler. My golden retriever Dakota boarded at this beautiful new facility over the Thanksgiving holiday for two nights. Everything was wonderful. They sent me emails with photos while he was there and I could tell he was having a great time. I would definitely recommend Paws and Claws. Any dog would love to go there and play!

Our dog Benny had his first day at Paws & Claws daycare yesterday and it was a positive experience from start to finish! I love the details they have taken to make the entire space inviting and fun. Benny was able to play all day long with the other dogs and not cooped up in a crate only to be let out for a few minutes of playtime a few times a day. I absolutely love this aspect of doggie daycare. Benny cant wait to go back!

We just finished our last class with Jeff Bushorr last night after a 7 week training course for our teen puppy. Jeff was great with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He gave all the dogs equal attention and was super thorough with any questions asked. He made sure that he knew what we wanted to work on most and would give multiple strategies we could use in order to get our dog to improve. Jeff also handed out homework and pamphlets each class with information for us to work on and refer back to. The pamphlets also included lots of tips and information that is very valuable for a dog owner to know. I think it is safe to say our dog was the challenge of the class because of his high energy level but Jeff knew just how to handle him and enjoyed seeing him each week. I would 100% recommend Jeff and Paws and Claws for anyone who is looking. We plan on bringing our dog there for day care in the future.Thanks Jeff!!

As a veterinary practice manager, I feel I have a high standard for pet care and Paws and Claws measures up! From the very warm friendly greeting to photos and facebook posts of your pet during their stay, I feel secure bringing my young lab regularly to daycare. He comes home tired from a very full day of doggie fun and is excited to return - another way to measure care. Took our large dog Justin; a Newf, great dane mix for a repeat body shave. Justin loves it there! He walks right in and leads the tech into the bathing and clip area! Hes there for several hours, since theres a lot to his 140 lb. frame, but he absolutely enjoys it! The staff is great and the place is spotless. They handle all size animals and have day care and boarding. Just an outstanding place to take your animal!

We have taken our dogs to Emily for years now. The care they received was personal and individualized to their specific needs. With our lab, Charlie, he went from a vibrant dog to one that needed elderly care. Emily cried with us when we had to say goodbye. Our little Yorkie-Poo Trixie is a timid and shy little one. Emily and her staff take the time and place her with other “like type” dogs to help her feel comfortable and safe. The quality she provides does not compare.

Both my dog & I were hesitant at first because of other bad experiences, but Rascal warmed right up to the Paws & Claws staff. He enjoyed his stay, playing with the other dogs, and lounging by the fire. The daily pictures help owners feel at ease.

I started boarding my dog at Paws and Claws this year and I am so happy with the level of care my dog gets! He absolutely hates being away from us but he is so comfortable at this facility, and he gets so much attention and playtime from the staff!

Jeff came out to my house today to help mewith my 18 mo. Old rescue dog. He is so knowledgeable and genuinely loves dogs. He showed me how to keep her calm when she sees another dog. He also gave me valuable tips. I reccomend him and appreciate his calm demeanor. He did a great job.

Facility is top notch! I felt like my dogs got a better vacation then myself! They are a little pricey, but your fur kids are in the best hands while away! They also offer quite a few services besides boarding.

Beautiful facility. We received a full tour prior to booking and had a behavior assessment done on our dog to be sure she would be a good fit for playgroups. Our dog will have spacious accommodations and the best care while we are away.

Emily is extremely knowledgeable and has a natural infinity with animals. She has hired people who share her passion and are equally competent working with all sorts of dispositions. I was nervous to board my dogs because of how they would be treated. I have to say I’m so pleased with this boarding facility. They washed our dog beds and blankets, they kept us updated with photos every day, and even before we booked with them we got a walk through and they answered all our questions. I definitely will be using them again!

I was taking my Lab puppy here on several occasions and she loved playing with the other large dogs and she came home exhausted every time. I thought the place was great. I haven’t taken the dog back because she got kennel cough on her last visit. I had to take her to my vet for an examination and medicine to cure the problem which was an expense I didn’t plan on. She didn’t get the kennel cough from being in the backyard and doesn’t go to any dog parks where other dogs are.

Jeff is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable in dog training. He shows a true passion for the dogs. unfortunately due to illness we missed the graduation class. would highly recommend this class to others.

Took Puppy Kindergarten Class with Fran Schoenfeld and learned so much! Fran is knowledgeable, patient, a real dynamo! We benefited greatly from her lessons and I highly recommend her classes!

I recommend Paws and Claws to everyone that has pets. The staff are very good and trustworthy.My pet Fluffy love it there. Theres so much your pet can do there. This place is so amazing.Check it out, and you wont take your pet anywhere else.

The entire staff is outstanding! They all know my dog by name when he walks through the door. My dog can’t wait to get through the door to play. They are accommodating and compassionate with their clients. We’ve used their services for daycare, boarding, and grooming. Their prices are comparable to others in town but the value surpasses. I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else!

Jeff is one of the best trainers we have ever worked with! He makes understanding your dogs body language and behavior easy. Would certainly recommend him!

Best place ever!!! My dog comes home from there completely pooped out. Stays calm and tired for days from playing with all her doggie friends. And I love the fact that I get pics of her playing every time she is there. Kate is soooooooo excited when we pull into the parking lot and she realizes that its Friday and she gets to spent the day at daycare

I enrolled my chocolate lab in the teen puppy class with Jeff and it was AMAZING! We both learned so much and Izzy absolutely loved the class. I would highly recommend the teen puppy class and Jeff to anyone who asks!!! THANKS AGAIN JEFF!!

After only leaving our dogs with family members, we have been hesitant to try out a “kennel”. Emily and her staff made us feel so confident leaving our 9-month-old havanese over a long weekend. It felt like home. Bruno was running and playing all day long the entire weekend. He is very much looking forward to his return stay for 2 weeks in the spring!

I have been to day care several times and my buddies have mentioned that boarding here is just great. Well, finally Mom and Dad decided to get away for a couple days and dropped me off for a two night stay. It was just great. I had a nice room with a comfy bed, lots of play time, trail walks, and even movies on a rainy day. Everything was super and hope to be back soon. Thanks Mom and Dad. Wonderful facility, care and treatment for our dog Kasha. We boarded Kasha for 10 days while we vacationed recently. She loved the playrooms and socializing with new friends, dogs and staff. We received wonderful pictures from P&Cs every day.The owner Emily and her staff are very caring and wonderful. As a bonus Kasha celebrated her 10th birthday while we were away. The pictures of her in a party hat was priceless.Highly recommended.

Wonderful place! My dog absolutely loves it!Someone is present there 24/7, making sure that all the pets are alright. They send us photo updates every day - what a treat while missing your your fur baby on vacation!

Very confusing process… giant valet sign when you pull in by a door with a big VIP sign above it…. Went to the other door but it’s employees only… boy comes out of the VIP entrance so I tell him I’m there to drop my cat off and he has an appointment… he tells me he will take the cat inside and the receptionist will come out to the parking lot to talk to me?? After waiting for about 5 minutes the same boy comes out of the “VIP” entrance and says “oh you’re here for grooming?”…. Uh yea? He tells me I’m all set and goes back inside.Very unorganized confusing experience just to get a cat groomed

We just started going here with our puppy for socialization classes. Im so impressed with their facility and the staff here. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. We look forward to enrolling our pup in the next level of classes when hes ready.

The facility is amazing and clean and all the staff we encountered, including owner, Emily, have been super friendly! We are starting with puppy socialization class for our new dog, Theo, but definitely plan to be back for sure for other services!

My dog,Marty goes 2 days a week. He loves it. When we get there he cant get out of the car quick enough. All the workers know him by name. Great experience for him socializing with other pups.💕💕💕

These guys dont just lock up your pet in a pen for most of the time like 80% of other dog boarding places do. They get plenty of play time and are very attended to. Great place to board or even daycare for a day.

I was so pleased with the love they showed my dog. I was especially impressed with the daily email that showed numerous pictures of her, along with a few sentences of what she was doing. I also love that they are not in their suites all day, and are getting one-on-one attention along with playing with other dogs!

Fran is amazing and helped us tremendously with our teen puppy. From training treat recommendations to tips and tricks for tackling less desirable behaviors, Fran had information that has proved to be invaluable!

This is a great place! The staff is friendly, the place is clean, my dog loves it, the only reason it is not a 5 start is because they don’t have cameras to watch the dogs. They do however send pics throughout the day which is great but live camera feeds would make this place perfect!

My boy Bugsy loves it and I know this because as soon as we turn down the street to get there he goes ballistic. When they come to my truck to get him he gets out and doesnt look back. My dog is very attached to me and wont even let my husband take him outside if Im home because he doesnt want to leave my side so I know he loves paws and claws.

BEST DOG TRAINER!! Im so grateful I found dog trainer Jeff Bushorr and Paws and Claws. The training classes provided me with the skills to parent my puppy in an effective way. When I had to miss class due to a conflict, Jeff went out of his way to meet with me on a weekend so I could learn what I missed. He communicated to the class via email, providing articles, handouts and homework to practice with our dogs. He also gave us his cell number in case we ever needed to reach him with a question or concern. I learned so much from Jeff and highly recommend his classes to all dog owners!

Pickup was a very easy process. Met you in the parking lot, confirmed your identity and name of pet being picked up. Loaded pet in your car and off you go.
