I recently had my dog groomed at Lakewind, it was his 3rd time and I couldnt be happier with the experience. The staff were friendly and professional, and they clearly have a deep love for animals. My dog looked and smelled fantastic after the grooming, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking for top-notch grooming services. Ill definitely keep returning!

My two boys go there every 6 weeks to get groomed and when I pick them up they always look beautiful.I also have a bad leg and theyre more than willing to come out and help me get the dogs in and bring the dogs out when I pick them up .❤️

I’ve been taking my two dogs to Lakewind for years now and not only do they love going but I love bringing them here. They are both large and Ashley does a great job grooming them. Becky is always extremely helpful with any questions I have. They make you feel so comfortable when leaving your fur babes in their hands. We are Lakewind Kennel lifers!!

I have twin dogs brought them both in for grooming and nails and they did a fabulous job. Both of my dogs are rescues. But they did not disappoint. I spoke to Ashely and one other lady and they both were very very respectful! They stayed in touch and told me everything about the visit. Very clean place! Highly recommend them!! Will be back for sure.

This place is AMAZING! They took great care of our big old baby Lincoln (golden retriever) and made him super comfortable. He came home looking so fresh and dapper! Also Ashley did an amazing job with our little baby Kennedy (pug) who’s a pain to cut nails with. Highly recommend and this will be the ONLY place my precious boys will ever go going forward!!!! 100%

Great experience with grooming. My dogs look stunning (Handsome and beautiful)

We have boarded our Poms Molly and Charley here a couple of times. Last time we picked them up in their kennels and when we got home we noticed Charley had a large piece of hard feces matted on the back of her butt. She has a very long, thick coat, and is not the easiest dog to work with, so I was understanding and we decided to give them another chance. We just picked them up and again Charley had a HUGE mound of hard feces which was so hard that it must’ve been there for at least a couple of days. It smelled horrific and this poor dog was just walking around like this. I don’t even know if they pay enough attention to know it was there which is not acceptable, and if they did know it was there and didn’t even try to help her out with a wipe when it was fresh, or by cutting it out, that’s also unacceptable. They clearly neglected our dogs. We will not be returning. Update in response to owner’s response: Hi Becky. I did not think I would have to ask a kennel to not send my dog home with impacted feces on her back end for a 2nd time. I assumed you guys did not see it the first time around, but this time was much more extreme. Firstly, she smelled so strongly of feces there is no way someone did not smell it. The smell filled up my entire car the second I put her kennel in. Secondly, despite the smell, I saw it as soon as I put her down in the house and she walked away from me. She is a Pom so her tail curls up. Yes she has long hair but it was not covering the huge mound of poop hanging off her back end. You did not have to do an “inspection” of any kind, someone would just have to look at her to notice it. I also just want to clarify that I did not say “Charley is a mess”. I said “please don’t try to brush her because she has very bad anxiety and doesn’t like it”. She trusts her owners to brush her but gets anxiety with others. She is on steroids for a medical condition which has upped her anxiety, and we are working with the vet to lower this anxiety so that we can brush her mats out. Last time she came she had just been brushed, and there was still a very hard mound of poop stuck to her, so it is not an issue of her hair being matted. We do not feel confident that our dogs are being attended to in the way they should in your care, and I am sad that there is no level of acknowledgment of that on your end. Thanks.

I always bring my 3 dogs there together to get groomed. Ashley does an amazing job every time. My dogs get nervous and she is so good with them! I highly recommend!!!

CHOP SHOP!!Unfortunately Becky is extremely rude, and unhelpful, and defensive to receiving feedback around my poor hair cut on my dog.Just picked up my dog from his grooming appointment. The signs everywhere say it should take 2-3 hours, as it has at any other appointment he’s has. This was barely one hour. These are many spots that weren’t cut at all, and the area that was asked to not cut at all, completely hacked in half. The entire body is uneven. She didn’t get his belly at all. Nothing matches. The so disappointed.When I called Becky was immediately defensive and sharing how it’s my fault that her groomer did a poor job, and that she’d be posting it to Facebook. Which I didn’t approve to take photos of my dog while in their care.I asked for a refund or a discount on the poor job and she said “we don’t do refunds, this isn’t Petsmart.”It’s not. It’s a scam job. My dog looks terrible.Do not trust this groomer.

Lakewind Kennels is the best! The owner Becky and her staff are wonderful, caring people! If you need boarding, grooming etc this is the place to go!

We are so happy that we found Lakewind! One of our dogs has issues with strangers and their ability to board him without having to handle him is amazing. Hes gotten used to being there and he loves running back and forth with his neighbors. Such nice people too!

I wouldnt trust to get my dog groomed or boarded anywhere else. Alyssa does an absolutely stellar job on my Giant Schnauzers cut every single time (and I am 100% certain my dog likes Alyssa and Tori more than myself!). The entire team is like a giant family! As a dog trainer my self I am quite picky on where I feel safe leaving my dog, as she is a working dog... I have never once hesitated. This team is wonderful. I could not recommend them more.

Excellent staff are trained to be able to handle your pets while you are away. They gave us an update about our dog while we were away so we didnt have to worry. The price was good, and she was thrilled to see us when we returned. However, when we got home we did notice she had picked up fleas while she was there.

After a recommendation from a friend, I took my 7-month-old poodle-mix for a puppy grooming. I requested just a sanitary trim, face trim, and ear-plucking. No coat trim and no nails.When I picked her up, the price was higher than we originally discussed, and they attempted to explain that she is a more challenging breed, even though they did not have to do anything about her main coat for a puppy trim.When I got home and looked her over thoroughly, I noticed her ears still have plenty of hair and her “sanitary trim” is a single shave mark on one side. Over the phone, they said she did not enjoy the ear trimming and stopped after a little bit. This is not her first ear trim and she does not like it, but she still needs to have it done. They should have explained that her ears were not completed when I picked her up and deducted it from the price. If you can’t do the job, then don’t charge for it. I still do not understand their explanation for the sanitary trim. They used her recent spay to explain it, but it makes no logical sense why she’s got one close-shave mark.When I stated that I would not be returning as a customer, they made no attempt to keep my good-will and hung up without saying good-bye.

I have been boarding my dog here for over 7 years. The staff has always been kind and accommodating and my dog is happy when we go in. I always get my dog groomed following a stay, and he is always clean and happy when he comes home. We will continue to use Lakewind Kennels for all of our grooming and boarding needs.

They were very understanding of my individual dogs needs. When returned to me after one week they both had been groomed, smelled amazing and looked handsome. I Definitely recommend here.

Weve been taking our 3 dogs there for a couple of years now. Grooming had been great and we havent had any issues with kenneling them there. Our dogs dont stink when we pick them up after a week of being there.

When I pick my dog up after 2 weeks he was so happy and healthy. He was licking me all over. I couldnt believe how happy and healthy he was. I actually called the following day and asked what did they do to make him so happy. Thanks for taking good care of my Mudbone.

Love coming here! The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Excellent customer service. My dog Booker is always happy and well cared for after boarding, grooming, and nail trims. I highly recommend!

We love bringing our dogs to Lakewind and they seem to enjoy it too. Our family is in the process of moving to a new state and so Lakewind has been such a blessing. For other kennels we have used, the dogs were always lethargic, thirsty and hoarse when we picked them up. But now they are happy and readily go back whenever we drop them off!

We have always been pleased with the grooming that our dog has received here. The staff is friendly and professional. Also, the price are very reasonable.

Very upset when picking my dog up after boarding for the weekend. He was lethargic and still wet from his bath. His face and mouth are super red and he has been licking the pads of his paws which were also red. His nails were clipped at the vet less than 2 weeks ago and I asked them not to cut his nails. He is now limping since they did not listen and several nails were bleeding they are so short. It has been terrible to see him in pain and discomfort.

My very nervous dog did okay here. The staff fed him hamburger to get him to eat after three days of nervous anxiety, which was good. The accommodations arent fancy and the yard is concrete, but overall it was a reasonably safe place.

They always do a good job with grooming my pets. Been going here for years and I must say the staff are very friendly and professional and the prices for grooming services are pretty reasonable.

Rating a 1 star because I dont have the option of rating no stars...Very upset, they boarded my dog for 2 weeks and after 5 days of him being home he started with a hoarse cough and gaging reflex non stop, took my dog to the vet and was diagnosed with kennel cough and has now exposed my 2 other dogs in the household and potentially looking at some big vet bills for all 3!! Contacted the owner immediately after finding out and the response was vague, no offer of compensation of said vet bills and they tried to brush it off with their excuse that they disinfect all the kennels on a regular basis, wrong, obviously they are not disinfecting as they should be on a daily basis or this would not have happened and allowed another dog into their kennel at some point that was due for their vaccine! The owner also validated that we were the 2nd call they had this morning of which both dogs were kenneld at the same time. Also, my dog eats grain free food which they did provide but not the same brand I use so this caused him to have diarrhea so she then fed him Hamburg and rice, rice is a GRAIN!! My dog is allergic to grain. I will never use this facility again and a $500 stay is now adding up to be a disaster and potentially looking at a $1,000 by the time Im done with vet bills. I advise everyone to really do your homework when looking for a safe, clean, place to board and dont make the same mistake I did!!

Tinker got a beautiful haircut, even though he was being an asshat and not letting anyone touch his head and feet. They r willing to work with him.

Take our dog there for grooming and they do a excellent job. And he smells good when we pick him up.

Will not let you tour their kennels. Why would I leave my loved one at a place that would not let me check out the conditions of where they would be staying? I wouldnt!

Lakeland Kennels is awesome. They always take all three of my furbabies at the same time. They treat my babies well and they smell so good when they are done. For a kennel, the place is quiet and it doesnt smell terrible.

Small operation but I like that, means more one-on-one time with my pup. Excellent prices (about $40 or $50 per night boarding one dog). I think I saw a sign saying they dont board cats anymore. Not a super high-end kind of place so dont expect lots of special extra play times or swimming pools or complex spa procedures but I didnt need any of that. My dog is 10 pounds, she had a run, not a cage, with outdoor access she could use during the day.

Brought my dog here. First impressionen not good. If you are a animal groomer I thought you would present yourself in a positive way to a shy animal. It should not matter what size the dog is. Make them feel welcomed. When picking up my dog they never explained what they did or could not do. The groomer never came out to explain anything. Just gave a wash for 80.00. Nothing else was done.

I scheduled an appointment for my dog about a week ago. The woman who answered seemed very aggravated how ever I still booked thinking my dog will okay. However I forgot where I booked my dogs appointment to confirm I called them and the lady who answered didn’t seem to care to want to look up and confirm his appointment. Just her whole energy and attitude was not for me. I will never bring or recommend this place until they rehire a new team.We just want to feel like you love your job dealing with our pets we consider our children. So we know they are in good hands… this is not okay 😞

Definitely going back!!! I honestly will go to the cheapest place to get my own hair cut but I ask around for months to find a groomer for my pup. And I still wait and think on it! She has a long double coat with leg and tail feathers and she needs extra “love” when grooming because her fur is so gnarly sometimes. Lakewind was recommended by my neighbor and I can’t be more impressed. The price is right, they took their time, and she looks amazing!!! They did everything I asked for and gave me some great recommendations on how to keep her fur in better shape. Now I just need to plan on a grooming schedule and make the next appointment.

The wonderful people at Lakewind Kennels went above and beyond taking care of my two big dogs. I highly recommend them. I also have to say that they were very a reasonable price. Which makes the above statement even more amazing! 🐾❤️🐾

The staff at Lakewind Kennels have been great to our ageing dog. They are careful with him as to not aggravate his arthritis when he is groomed. When he is boarded we only take him here as they know him and his temperament. I would recommend Lakewind to anyone looking for a great groomer and kennel.

This particular rating is just for grooming - I own 2 standard poodles in have them groomed hear about 75% of the time they look OK just some Tufts of hair here in there that looks like it might not have got clipped the right way. However the last couple of times Ive had them groomed theyve clipped a nail too short and didnt tell me or like this previous time they cut the Web of the one dogs toes and forgot to tell me so that when I came home the dog went out back and then came outside and then proceeded to bleed all over my kitchen floor in till I got it figured out. When I called them on it they just said O were sorry we forgot to tell you. I wont be taking my dogs back here to be groomed anymore. As far as the kennel goes its the standard kennel nothing special there kept in runs during the night and allowed outside during the day.

Lakewind kennels are fantastic. From Ashley to the groomers. I wouldnt consider any other place for my dogs needs. Awesome team, reasonable rates.

I took my precious puppy to get groomed. They were very professional. They even called they night before to remind of my appointment. She went in a hot mess.. lol.. and came out so beaut. We definitely recommend them and we will be going back!

I dropped my dog off in the morning to be boarded here for a few hours and he later developed a loud and annoying kennel cough. My dog has the bordatella vaccine and this was his first and only boarding experience. While I understand the vaccine doesnt protect against all strains of kennel cough, this just tells me they dont keep the facility as clean as they should or even watch for signs of an outbreak in the dogs they allow.Also, I felt like they were rushing me to leave. This was my first time boarding my dogs and the people didnt seem friendly. They just caged my poor dog up and rushed me out the door. I would give 0 stars if I could.
