Dr Grewal is awesome. Weve been going to him for years. We have never been dissatisfied with any visit with him. His staff is very nice and kind. He always comments that Jack is a good Boy, lol.

Love Ridgemont!! The staff and doctors are all so friendly and professional. They saved my Pumpkins life by dropping everything and rushing her in when she ate a big chocolate cookie. They always make a fuss over my dogs and present me with an estimate for my approval before they work on my furbabies. Highly recommended 👍

Dr. Grewal performed an ACL repair on our Jack Russell Terrier. So far, so good as he is recovering very nicely. Ridgemont Animal Hospital and staff were very helpful, communicative, and professional. Were very grateful to them and would recommend them highly.

We had to make the worst imaginable decision for our little one. When her time came, Dr. Grewa and his staff couldnt have been more compassionate and sincere in their empathy for ourselves and our little Kenzie. They truly are in this for all the right reasons and we are so grateful that them and their hearts were there for us for such a unthinkable decision. I brought my 6 month old kitten there today and was told the humane thing to do was put him down. I took this very hard and was balling in tears and an employee opens the door and says to me as I am boo who crying can you please wait in the waiting room, we need this room. Very unprofessional and rude then comes back and says never mind and goes out the room and talking about cat parents in a negative way. Then I was told that I would be able to be there while they sedate him and euthanize him but instead ask to take him, which i allowed not sure of what they were doing. They brought him back in the room with it already done. A goodbye with my baby still alive would have been nice but instead I had to say goodbye to an already lifeless cat. I would reconsider bringing your animal there because I will never bring another animal there

I really appreciate this office. Dr. Grewal is super attentive to all of our animals. They have seen 4 of our dogs, and 5 cats, one of each saw end of life care to the end. Always receptive and helpful, and conscious of the costs of an animal heavy household. Incredibly compassionate to the patients and the humans worrying. Kudos to the entire team.

The service received from the doctor and the office team was exceptional. Everyone was so welcoming and so compassionate and patient towards our little dog. Our fur baby wagged his tail from the time we got there. Not one bark. No tension, No anxiety or nervous peeing. He was so content. Happy puppy, happy mom. I would definitely suggest the Ridgemont Animal Hospital for all of your fur baby’s needs.

The customer service, the passion and knowledge of the employees beginnng with the Doctors, gives us tremendous confidence that we made the right choice for our dog.

Extremely overpriced. Healthy 3 yr old dog went in for yearly check up and vaccines and was charged $518 total. I was charged $5.50 for fecal disposal when I was ASKED to bring in a sample. I even got a text! I shouldn’t be paying for the disposal of the poop.I was charged for 2 different exams totaling $252. Their own website lists Pet Health screenings include vaccines. Unfortunately my husband took the dog and I’m not looking forward to calling for an explanation as I’ve always been made to feel like I’m a problem or bother calling in advance for a ballpark figure on the exam (always told $67+ vaccines) or asking for specific days of the week to schedule appointments, just rude and heavy sighing at the inconvenience of being asked questions.This bill was the final straw and we are looking for a new vet. We have no problem paying for vaccines and fecal screen and a check up, but not disposal and 2 wellness checks. Last year was also a problem with the bill but it went from $200-300 to over $500 just for a wellness check and shots. Unacceptable, especially with the rude attitude added to it.

I brought my Great Dane to see Dr. Sandeep Grewal on Monday and I was very concerned for her. She was not her normal jovial self and was acting extremely lethargic. I naturally started to panic as her blood line has a vast history of various forms of cancer. I was able to get in same day and at a time convenient for my work schedule! From the moment we arrived the staff was very welcoming, calming and showering Gemma with love.We went into the room with the Tech and she got a detail history of Gemma and her current status. I went over all our worst fears, some minor things that really didnt matter and everything I could get her to write down. She was extremely calming for Gemma and did not increase stress at all.When Dr. Sandeep Grewal, came in i was worried as Gemma tends to get defensive around new men, but he calmly walked to her and let her smell him and she was fine. He took about 30 minutes with us to hear all of our concerns, do a thorough physical exam. He had her do a few physical tests and she passed the first and failed the second. He told us he is confident it is a hip injury and because it came from nowhere he felt it was trauma or injury not a chronic problem. He said we could do x-rays but she would need to be sedated and we would have to make another appointment. he reiterated there were no signs of masses, tumors or cancer that he could see. I asked if he could still do blood work to make sure. he explained what they would do with a blood test and what would the cost be. My wife and I elected to do the blood test because of her history. Thank God all her blood work was normal. The Dr called himself the next day and took another 10 minutes to talk to me and ask how Gemma was doing. He showed genuine interest and concern for this member of our family.The bottom line is Gemma got great care, the staff was amazing and no one tried to force me into paying for a test she didnt need. at no point in the visit were we made to feel like terrible pet owners because we werent going to do something. Far too many times I have been to a vet and they are trying to get me to do expensive tests, shots, or procedures and when I ask what is the reasoning behind it, they cannot explain, or you get its our office practice to... Sandeep Grewal, and the staff did what their job was and made me leave knowing they truly had Gemmas and my families best interests in mind. I would absolutely recommend this to ANYONE who needs a vet. Awesome job A++

Excellent Service. Friendly Staff. My great Dane Jimmy was in terrible pain due to his arthritis and other problems with is eyes and legs. I went to my regular doctor and he gave me some medication but that did not solve the problem. Then my friend recommended Ridgemont Animal Hospital. My dog is better than ever before and my daughter loves to be out and play with Jimmy. He no longer has any pain, no longer walks with a limp and the wound on his legs is completely healed. Would highly recommend this to all my friends and family.

I have been bringing my dogs to Ridgemont Animal Hospital for over 10 years. My current dog has had several surgeries with fantastic recovery and they help manage any and all concerns that arise. I called in with a question yesterday and Vanessa was so helpful in calming me down and helping to find suggestions to help my dog out. I will forever recommend them as the BEST in Rochester. Dr Grewal has always been compassionate and kind and I couldn’t ask for better care. My dog is also quite difficult and is not usually agreeable to anything, and they work with us and him to ensure things are always resolved.

The vets here are excellent as are all the staff. Really worked with me to take care of my dog....who has severe allergies and is hard to manage. So grateful for their care!

These people are amazing. Made us real comfortable with leaving our puppy there. Very informative and knowledgeable on the things we asked how about our new fur baby . So glad this is the Vet for my puppy. We are also bringing our kitty here as well.

Houska is excellent with our girl and very knowledgeable. Always takes the time to explain to us what he recommends. The vet techs are really friendly and are also great with our pup. Highly recommend! Our dog should hate going to the vet and she doesnt!

Ridgemont Animal Hospital took my dog as a new patient when my vet of over 10 years was giving me a hard time getting an appointment. My dog was sick and needed a vet appointment within a day or two not a week. I am very grateful for Ridgemont animal Hospital for taking my dog right away. Now I will be loyal to them.

Always friendly and if my pets need to get in quickly, they make it happen. Knowledgeable staff and friendly.

They took care of our pets for over thirty five years before we moved out of the area, going above and beyond to provide compassionate care that reflected our needs. They never recommended expensive testing in cases where the outcome had no solution, instead, opting to treat the pet’s comfort level in their last days.Even after we moved, they supported us long distance until we could make the transition. Miss you guys ❤️

Best vet around. Would not trust by dogs with anyone else. I board them there also and they always are well taken care of and come home happy!

Ridgemont Animal Hospital provides excellent care for animals. The provider is thorough and follows up with abnormal findings. I feel that the staff really cares about my pet.

My cat was given vaccines that he was not due for, he had blood work done that I didnt know he needed I was given no explanation as to why he needed it done (he didnt) I keep getting conlicted messages from the staff , one telling me the blood work is good while another is telling me more blood work needs to be drawn. My cat came home with bugs on him, and all this after my appointment that took over an hour and a half in a boiling hot office. I can keep going, but the short of it all is I would not recommend this place to anyone. My cats are like my kids, and it hurts me to know I took them somewhere so irresponsible. Do your pets a favor and find somewhere reputable

Overpriced and never on time. I routinely waited 25+ minutes for them to see my dog. Showed up 15 mins late once and they refused to treat the dog, even though the doctor wasn’t even available at the scheduled time. Just a poor experience at a very inflated price.

Was able to get my dog in same day as the call. Staff friendly and listened to my concerns. Visit was quick thorough. Thank you

Took my dog here for the first time and had a great experience! The doctor was very knowledgeable and was great about letting me know what my dog actually needed versus not needed that I didn’t have to spend money on. Staff was very friendly and got my dog in and out nice and quickly! Definitely going to continue going here :)

Everyone on the staff here is so amazing! We brought our dog here for boarding once because our normal place was booked. It was such a good experience we ended up switching to this vet and we only board here too!

I came here in a pinch because my regular vet was booked and my cat needed to be seen ASAP for an eye infection. First, my appointment was at 11:15 and i did not even get into a room until 11:30. Then the vet tech came in and she was perfectly fine i have no complaints about her. Then the doctor finally came in at about 12. Dr Grewal was completely incompetent didn’t even look at my cats chart. Kept referring to my male cat as “she”. Little details like that make me not trust them. My cat was terrified and hiding and the dr rudely asked “can’t you get him on the table??” okay sure. He made me hold my cat down on the table while he examined him. He looked in his eyes for all of about 2 seconds then started looking at other things that did NOT need to be treated. He then charged me for an ear swab without giving me time to answer if i wanted it or not. He leaves then a woman comes in with the bill. They tried to charge me $241 when i was just there for an exam and eye drops. Exam and eye medicine i was totally fine with paying. Then they also had ear medicine, ear swab test and also oral antibiotics. I did not agree to any of these things and found them unnecessary as ALL HE HAD was an eye infection nothing more. Then they tried saying i need to come back in 2 weeks for more medicine. The women at the front desk talked smack about other customers and the vet was rude and cold. I now know to NEVER go anywhere besides my normal vet who is amazing. Do not give this place the time of day. They don’t care about the actual problem or the well being of your cat. They just want to charge you for as much unnecessary stuff to line their pockets.

Never been to a vet where your animal goes into an immediate downward spiral in health AFTER your vet visit. My animal DIED because of being treated as a number and dollar sign instead of an animal that mattered and needed undivided attention. The doctor didn’t even read my pet’s prior history from a different vet as he claimed he didn’t have time to. Really? Now our beloved pet is dead because of wrong prescription and list goes on. Also, these people buy bots, AS OTHERS HAVE SAID IN THE REVIEWS, to make up for all the negative reviews. PRICE GOUGING is also their preferred method of payment. Dont ever expect a simple visit would cost you anywhere lower than $200. All they do is run to the back office and find ways to jack up the price on everything. Never seen such outrageous medical price. If you love your pet and you want them to stay alive and healthy, please, for the sake of your animal, STAY AWAY from this place.

We found Ridgemont a year or so ago when my boyfriend and I took in my sisters dog. Our dog was a 14 year old poodle who needed quite a bit of TLC in the end. When it came time to do the end of life they were incredible. Didn’t push us to do tests or try to get us to spend more. Then ensured me I made the right decision, he was just that sick. We didn’t have an empty house for long. We adopted a 3 year old mix from the south and got another puppy as well. We have been very enthusiastic about bringing out family pets back. They are sooo good about pricing things out and working with us on prioritizing what to do based on our combined incomes. They don’t make me feel like a bad fur mom when I have to make multiple appointments to get it all done. We have been recommending them to all of our friends, and have been telling them how great both doctors are there.

We have been going here for about a decade and always had great experiences! They truly care about my pets.

I have been taking my pets to Dr.G for years now. When it was time to put our baby Roxy down they were so supportive and gave us all the time we needed with her to say goodbye. What really got me was a few days later we received a handwritten letter in the mail from Dr. G expressing his condolences. My other dog Rocky is a pit Bull and i struggled with finding a vet i felt comfortable bringing him to. Due to the breeds “reputation” i was very worried with allowing him to get close to people he did not know. I can’t say enough good things about Ridgemont. He had surgery a few months back and they were amazing with keeping my updated while he was there. Helped make me feel comfortable and dr. G called through out the week to check his progress. I don’t feel they are over priced.. even if they are you get what you pay for. I rather pay more money knowing my babies are in good caring hands! I feel they never stir me in the wrong direction or try and just collect money from me. In fact when Rocky had his ear hematoma he recommended we try the steroids before surgery but i opted for the surgery just to be sure it did not come back. Thank you Ridgemont Animal hospital for all you have done for my babies through out the years. I highly recommend you visit them.

Great clinic with knowledgeable staff and friendly vets. Very expensive though. Charged for a full exam for booster shots when just had a full exam 3 weeks prior and cant get the shots without the exam. Quite a rip-off. Only stuck with them because they were great during Covid when it was almost impossible to get an appointment. The lady that made the appointment for me went above and beyond to accommodate and price was very fair. Since then, cant go to an appointment without spending $300, even for booster shots. The kindness and knowledge of the staff is the only reason for the 3 stars, without them it would be 1.

Dr. Grewal and Dr. Houska are always fabulous!! I am a business owner and have been bringing all of my puppies to them for the last year and a half. They are very accommodating, understanding, knowledgeable and affordable. I recommend them to all of my customers and I back them 100% with the level of care they provide to each and every individual pup I bring them. The staff is very friendly and informative, and will always lend a hand to help. Im so very thankful theyre all a part of my team in helping to provide excellent, reliable and consistent care!!

Just adopted a dog from lollypop farm and got a certificate for a free check-up. Called for appt. The person on the phone said they cant honor it, because they are booking out and it will be over two weeks, so the certificate wont be any good. Thanks for not going out of your way to help a potential new client. A note from Dr. probably would have sufficed. Lollypop would have worked with any problem.

We work with ridgmont animal hospital on a weekly basis and we are always happy with the service. Dr. G has always taken great care of our rescue animals and given the best advise.He even goes as far as calling us personally to check up on animals, giving out his number Incase we have any questions or concerns after hours and is willing to help in an Emergncy.OFR owes many thanks to Dr. G and will continue to use his services.

I have two cats that need medication. Our last vet closed down so we needed to get into another vet and get new prescriptions filled. Not only did they take forever but they did/charged us for services we didnt ask for.They are crooks and thieves. If you value your money and you pets well being dont go here

I have always received great care for my pets here and never have to wait days for lab work results. The staff is friendly, kind and compassionate. They are always willing to listen, help and go above and beyond for your four legged family members! Ive known Dr Houska for many years and he is very knowledgeable and willing to do whatever it takes to help you and your pets. Great animal hospital!

Absolutely amazing Im so grateful to Dr Sandeep Grewal and the wonderful team at ridgemont animal hospital. My dog became very Ill i called around several clinics nobody took this issue seriously and said I wouldnt be able to get in anywhere for at least 2-3 weeks, they were also booked but found an emergency spot for us and turns out she had to have major surgery unexpectedly...I was devastated. They were all so kind compassionate and understanding. They are dedicated to their job and you can tell they genuinely care about your pets. Dr Grewal came in round the clock during his time off to make sure she was well cared for and called me every step of the way post surgery. My pug is still in recovery but Im so thankful she has her spunk back and I really cant thank them enough 💖 if you are looking for a new vet I highly recommend giving them a try !

The best animal hospital in Rochester. The doctors and assistants are so helpful, now during the pandemic they have such a good system. The doctor even pick up our puppy from the car and return it itself after the appointment. And even take time to chat with us about the treatments. Good job guys

I am very happy with the services​ of ridgemont animal hospital. I took my cat there. He was very sick and could not pee. He was on a death bed. The doctors and the staff took very good care of him and made him happy and healthy again. I will highly recommend them to my friends and family because the service was excellent and very affordable Care.

My cat had a urinary blockage which is life threatening. My own 2 vets (one for dog and one for cat) were booked and both said take him to emergency in Henrietta. We all know they are double the price. I called around to several places and no one would see him. One place even had a rude receptionist. Ridgemont was the only vet that would see him and they were closing in 1/2 hour. The doctor was very nice, gave me my treatment options and helped me try to make him comfortable. My cat did live thankfully and I appreciate Ridgemont for seeing my cat short notice even though I wasnt a client. Good customer service.

I own my share of animals, in fact most days I love my animals more than I LIKE most people..and they are my world. And that is the reason why Dr Grewall is my vet. I have owned animals all my life and gone to other vets in the past, But for the last 20 years no vet can touch this place in animal care. I trust them completely and my animals feel very safe in their care. Thank you for all you have done for all of my fur babies over the years ❤️

I recently became the owner of a rescued pit bull named Carter. By the looks of the poor dog he looked beaten, abused, and very sick. Ridgemont animal hospital was recommended to us by friends and Business associates. When we took our pet there the employees were very kind and knowledgeable. They examined our dog thoroughly and gently, then prescribed the appropriate medications and vitamins. Today Carter is a heathy and handsome dog who is learning everyday.I cant thank the team at Ridgemont enough for the service care and consideration they offered at an incredibly affordable price

We unfortunately were very turned off by the treatment of our dog during our last few visits here. She is very nervous about going to the vet and it was quite clear that Dr. Houska is not a fan of pitbull-mix dogs, as ours is. He was very standoffish with her which created a tense environment for everyone, and resulted in a visit costing over $200, but during which not much was achieved. I also felt that they pushed a lot of unnecessary products & treatments on us, increasing cost. The tech staff, however, were always wonderful and extremely sweet with our dog, which we appreciated immensely. We have since found a new office.

We needed an emergency appointment for rescue cat, our regular vet said they couldnt take her they were backed up. We looked for veterans in our area and Ridgemont Veterans were the only one that would take her !!!!!They put her on antibiotics and fluids which we believe saved her life!! We use two different vets one for our dogs and one for our cats. Even our vet for our dogs wouldnt take her, whom weve used for over 15 years.Needless to say we moved our animals all to Ridgemont Veterans.The vets there said if their in they wouldnever turn away an emergency call!!!So disappointed in our other vets!!!!I would rate Ridgemont Veterans a 10

I recently moved to Rochester. Upon recommendation I decided to try Ridgemont Animal Hospital. What can I say? The doctors are not good, but FANTASTIC. They treated my dog as if he was their own!! Seriously, if you need a vet, please try them out!

They are very pricey!! We waited inside a little room, sat on a hard wooden bench for a good 30 minutes. Then the assistant came in with a price list of what he wanted to check for. We felt like we were ordering expensive items. My dog Jackson is 13 years old, he is my best friend. Loosing weight, arthritis, loosing muscle in his face, so his eye is sucken in his socket, loosing his hearing, just walking and peeing in the house. We Thought the worst! Well blood works and urine sample, ears cleaned and nails cut. $320. He called the next day, he said your dog has Cushings disease, but they cant do anything for that, because he is to old. Low protein feed him people food real chicken, beef, and eggs.We didnt get a print out of the results. I hope we dont go through all this to find out we have to put him down. We could have used the money for his cremation.

Brought my little 2 year old dog for her yearly wellness visit. Dr. Houska was very nice and did his wellness tests. Gave her a very good bill of health. Recommended 2 vaccines and a blood test for heart worm. The heart worm test is necessary to get the file and tick and heart worm dose we needed. We agreed and he sent in his Tech person to administer the vaccine and draw blood for the test. This tech should NEVER be allowed to draw blood from any pet period. She jabbed her and immediately my little dog started screaming and yelping in pain. She continued to move the needle to try to draw blood, all the while my dog was screaming. I made her stop and told her that this is absolutely unacceptable to torture an animal like that. Her response was I didnt do it on purpose! I really dont care if she did it on purpose or not, the fact is she is not capable to draw blood and I refuse to EVER let her near my dog again. Another tech came in and drew the blood with no issue at all, which tells me the 1st tech does not know how to do it period!My dog will NEVER go back to that place! I am requesting all records to be given to me and we will be going to a Vet that actually cares about the animal. These people should not be allowed to take care of any animal, and we will tell everyone what happened. That is just a SIN, and I will not tolerate it at all. Goodbye Ridgemount Animal Hospital. I cant say enough about this place I recently visited ridgemont and they are by far the best vet office Ive ever been too, They make me feel so comfortable and you can really see they care about your furbabies ...prices are fair which was a big thing for me I absolutely love you guys my babies will be forever your patients! ♥️

Staff is always friendly. Facility is spotless. Dr. Grewal allows enough time for questions and concerns. We have used Ridgemont Animal Hospital for years now and have always been happy with their service.

Always fits us in, makes us feel like family. Would recommend them to anyone. Dr.Grewal is so personable and loving to our dogs and family. He is extremely good at what he does, one visit and you will understand. As far as nickel and diming like others suggested, that is false. He lays out what everything costs, right down to the bandages. This is so you know what you are paying for, and so you dont feel overcharged. I think the other reviewers are so used to getting a number at the end without and outline that they feel they are getting ripped off. Just because there are more items listed that you are paying for doesnt mean they are charging more. ( definitely super fair and reasonable) we have had 4 surgeries there and not once did I feel taken advantage of. And all 4 were very successful surgeries all explained afterward in post op.

I saw Dr. Grewal for the first time about 6 years ago when my pug was having issues with anal glands. I had been to 3 other vets who could not solve the problem. One visit with Dr. G and the problem was cured. I have brought my pugs to him since and have always gotten the best care and have never felt nickel or dimed. Dr. G is compassionate and caring. I trust him fully with my precious babies!

Both of my dogs go there and both doctors are extremely helpful and nice. I would highly recommend them if you have a new puppy, beyond helpful in aspects other than vet stuff. They want the best for your pet and treat them as your own.

Our Lola is a patient and Dr. Grewal is wonderful with our girl. We also had to board her for the weekend and she was taken care of very well. All bathed and in ship shape when we picked her up.

The Doctors at Ridgemont Animal Hospital do not genuinely care about your pets. They do not use his veterinary degrees to diagnose and treat your pets. They only care about money and push unnecessary treatments to increase your bill. I know this review is long but please read and really think twice before you trust what these doctors are doing here.On September 20th I brought our 5 year old golden retriever in because he was throwing up and not eating. I had just given both my dogs a new bone and my older dog was completely fine. I figured the bone was making him sick because of the timing that I gave him a new bone and him throwing up. When I met with Dr. Houska we talked about the bone and briefly talked about how he doesn’t have a habit of going through the garbage but he has had a few instances. Doctor Houska pushed that aside and went with my assumption that it was the bone bothering his stomach when in reality it was telling us he couldn’t digest food because of something else he ate. Doctor Houska also wanted to do blood work to rule out diseases but not once an X-ray. He stated and I quote “i wish he could tell us what’s going on”. I would like to remind everyone that Doctor Houska has a veterinarian degree and shouldn’t be relying on a dog to tell him anything. I wish in that moment I realized what a big red flag that comment was and I should have not settled for prescription dog food and medicine, I should have fought for an X-ray. I paid $350 and went home with the medicine and the prescription canned dog food. Our dog still wasn’t eating and he was throwing up still so we took him to another vet a couple days later and had Ridgemont send over his chart. The new vet did an X-ray right away and rushed him into emergency surgery because he did have stuff in his intestines that wasn’t the bone. By the time they got it out his intestines were all ripped up and he had a 50/50 chance surviving. He stayed in a hospital for 2 weeks, he had to have another surgery and we fought for him until the very end. He couldn’t keep fluids in or eat and he took a turn for the worst and we had to put him to sleep so he wouldn’t keep suffering.Side note: when we asked that our dogs chart to be sent over, the receptionist asked us to let them know if he wasn’t coming back. After the first surgery I let Ridgemont know that he wasn’t coming back there and what situation we were in. The doctor called the next day apologizing and literally said “he didn’t have a history of eating things so that’s why we didn’t do an X-ray”......Is this really a Doctor you trust to have your pets best interest at heart? We will regret it forever.

I’ve been going to Ridgemont Animal Hospital for over 30 years and my dogs have always been healthy and well taken care of. In fact when my last dog grew old and had to be put down, Dr Grewal sent us a sympathy card. I think that says it all.

My special pets have been patients of Ridgemont Animal Hospital during the time period from 1988 to the present. I have always been extremely grateful for the very fine care that each one of them has received from the doctors, medical assistants and staff at the veterinary office and hospital. Dr. Houska first provided care for my first dog there, a Poodle - Australian Shepherd mix, Grady, who lived to be 13-1/2 years of age. His care for my dog, Grady, was excellent; and that care was followed by that of Dr. Zarouba, who also provided excellent care. When Grady died, Dr. Houska and his staff were also extremely kind as to various aspects that had to be faced. Thereafter, Dr. Grewal provided superb, continuous care for my next dog, Smiley, a Beagle, who lived to be 14 years and 10 months old. That care, from puppyhood to death, particularly included very special treatment when Smiley contracted anaplasmosis and when he was struck by a car, each of which circumstances he survived. Since soon after Smileys death, our current Beagle, Ginger, who just turned two years of age, has been seen and treated by Dr. Grewal. The care that he has provided is exemplary and outstanding and reveals great sensitivity and compassion. Uniformly, the special care shown by each of the doctors, assistants and staff members at Ridgemont Animal Hospital has been a blessing to me, my family and our pets. I thank them very much for that care, and I highly recommend them to everyone.

Do NOT go here if you have guinea pigs!!! My wife took our guinea pig here the other day because he was refusing his food! We were worried that he was sick but the doctor says he was fine but gave him medicine and antibiotics but only made my piggy worse, I stopped using the medicine! My piggy has diarrhea now because of this! Not a good place to take them to, not very knowledgeable about them!!!

If you take the time to completely review these reviews you will start to notice a pattern. If there is a 1-2 star rating you will suddenly see a rise in 5 starts with in weeks of the 1-2 star rating. There can be months between reviews but God Forbid this horrific place that deems themselves and animal hospital or money pit.....then there is a sudden rash of 5 stars. Seems apparent this place only cares about there rating instead of their treatment of animals. Money talks here...,. Fake BS gets the ratings. This place should be shut down. Money talks here and if you cant pay, put the animal down, thats their option....to scare rather than care. If you are foolish to believe this place, go to another caring vet and get a second opinion. Its not allows all or nothing,,,,,,,many others will work with you. Your pet is your family....treat them as such. Now....watch how may other 5 stars will follow up in the next week/month or so to keep this place in the 4+ start rating!

Dr. Grewal has been taking care of my dog for more then 5 years. My dog is getting older and has had multiple medical issues the past 2 years. Dr. Grewal always states his concerns and does show concerns for my dogs health and longevity of life. Specially, my dog fell ill this winter, he was not eating or walking. I thought I would have to say goodbye. Dr. Grewal saw him and recommended a dose of medication for him. Within the next week my 16 year old golden retriever was back on his feet and eating (one of his favorite hobbies). My dog and I thank you, Dr. Grewal, for helping us through that hard time.

The place is very small for a big dog the scale is no on the fllor you have to put your big dog on the table no bigger than 20 inch wide and the doctor that I have a woman was very rude no explanation of what my dog has or anything only business never went to ask nothing about the dog .she was in an out ..The helpers were a litle bit better .You get what you paid fo still a big bill.

Always great with my pets. Gets them in to be seen quick when theyre not well. Calls to follow up to see if theyre doing better. Hours of operation are helpful to those who work. Prices are fair.

Not that friendly there. I would seek other Animal hospitals. Just for exam, blood work and heart worm, flee and tick meds it was 500 bucks!!

Good availability, always able to do last,minute appointments. The vets are VERY caring about the animals and seek to give top quality care....even if its a bit overboard for the situation. Still strongly recommend though.

I took my Dog/ son, to him after the Henrietta emergency center recommended surgery for a torn tendon in the left knee. I was told by both DRs it couldnt wait. Before I continue, they both lied ! Haus was my Dogs name and he was in perfect health otherwise! I dropped him off 02/022016 and was told to come and pick him up 02/042016@ 10. I arrived to see haus unresponsive what so ever. I only knew he knew I was there because he perked his ears up when he heard my voice. Long story short he passed at 10:10 and I received no explanation of how other than I dont know! . I found an article later that night advising to wait before having a knee surgery that it was a cash cow for vets and to beware of the ones pressuring you into it. As soon as he was pronounced dead the doctor immediately offered to flip for cremation cost. I asked for ALL records to be sent to my vet . they received a fax that read haus was a patient there and had died. This guy is a butcher and anti Christian I have suffered ever since! My Dog like me had a bad knee didnt need the surgery which cost me 3148.00 and was in excellent shape otherwise!

Today we visited this animal hospital when our 16 week old puppy was growing increasingly sick. We were seen by Dr. Houska who was not personable or professional. Not only did he not help solve the sickness, he didnt provide any recommendations for our struggling pup. He kept referring to our male puppy as she and was looking to us to come up with a care plan.

Dr G. is the BEST! Does not push any agenda. Very pragmatic & practical.Love him!!

Dont come here. Ever. Not even for emergencies. The vet does not care about you or your animal. Can get medication on chewy for 10$ and they charge over 100$ for the same product. Dont care about the health of your animal.

Do not bring your pets to this Animal Hospital they are very uncaring and unprofessional we were clients of their hospital for our pets our dog was dying we called them on Saturday they were closed left him a message to call us Monday Sunday at 4:00 a.m. called them again to leave a message that our dog was in the process of dying what should we do can you give us a call back then Monday morning 11:30 a.m. still have no call back from them my dog died in my living room suffering as we did not know what the next step was and they never contacted us back we will never go there again theyre uncompassionate and only care about your money if they cant make money off you they do not want your business will be going to Eastridge animal hospital and I suggest everyone take your pets to another facility worst one in New York

Very clean. They saw how my tiny was scared and they put us in a room so he could calm down.

Whether hip surgery or a nail trim, we trust our dogs to Ridgemont Animal Hospital and Dr G. Our German Shepherd can be uncooperative but Jess always gets her calmed down. We have been going there for close to 35 years .

They are very knowledgeable about dogs and Rabbits. This is probably the best vet in Rochester.

This vet practice is top notch. We have been taking our critters here for over 3 years. Both of our rabbits have been spayed here. Most recently our puppy was spayed here. They care so much for our pets, like they were their very own! We are so thankful to the office staff, to the vet technicians and to the veterinarians. We are always greeted warmly and with a smile. They always followup by phone just to make sure our pet is doing well. We have had our pets seen by both veterinarians and they are both so knowledgeable and have been fantastic to our “critters”. Thank you so much for your amazing care of our critters! We really appreciate you all!

I called Friday night because I had concerns about one of my dogs teeth, they were able to get me in this morning! They checked him all over, priced everything out and gave me options. Also they figured out a couple of issues he has had that I was also worried about. The staff there are excellent I 100% recommended and honestly believe this was one of my best animal hospital visits especially during this time.

Theyre over priced and will try to take advantage of you at a time when your emotions may be running high for fear of losing your furry family member. Definitely will choose a different office next time. I called recently to inquire about the cost to spay my daughters cat. By the time they got finished we were at 3 visits and about $1300 before the $600 surgery. I dont recommend them unless youre made of money.

I gave a 1 star because 0 wasnt an option. I had an emergency visit with a friends dog that had an eye injury. RIDGEMONT ANIMAL VET HOSPITAL. Never been here but was the close to her home. The worst place ever I would take an animal. A doctor (never caught the name but was an older male with a slight stutter (no disrespect) informed me the there was probable eye damage and it would have to be remove. He said he charges from $1200-$1500 to remove the eye. I stated shes not my dog I cant make that decision and stated I can authorize pain & swelling decisions. That doctor said he can give her pain meds. I proceeded to call my friend and repeated what was said. She said shed gone to Brockport Animal Hospital before take her there....I told them I was taking the dog there. I wanted pain meds until I got there, that doctor said there would be a fee but he would do it. I didnt give a rats behind what the fee was, just give it to her. 3-4 mins later no one was at the desk, I started to yell out that I was leaving and then someone appeared and told me the pain meds were a control substance and the needed more information. I said Im leaving and drove to BROCKPORT ANIMAL HOSPITAL. When I got there they took the dog immediately. Shortly there after I was brought in and was informed that the Doctor did not see any permanent damage to the eye, the retina was still attached and believed the swelling of inner eye lid (after being properly placed back in & sewn shut for 5 days) will help heel the eye. So from a 5 min console totally $1500. This ended up being a 10 min console that ended up costing $360. YOU BE THE JUDGE. ALL ANIMALS, WHEN IT COMES TO PERTAINING TO COST TO HEAl, GET A SECOND OPINION.And just to clarify, the cost wasnt the issue, it was my gut feeling. I called my friend back and told her to never to go there, I wouldnt trust this doctor to trim my dogs nails.-Since Ive written this review I have since learned that that doctor at Ridgemont doesnt accept payment plans, so if you cant afford to pay he will euthanize your animal.UPDATE: This dog has completely recovered, no scars and has no vision issues....she can see out of the eye just like she could before, Brockport Vet. Is wonderful. HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED THAT AFTER A POOR REVIEW THAT MAGICALLY NUMEROUS RAVE REVIEWS POUR IN. THINK ABOUT IT.

I’ve been going to Ridgemont Animal Hospital for about 4 years. I have 5 dogs (2 Italian Greyhounds, 1 Whippet and 2 Rottweilers). I HIGHLY recommend Doctor Grewal. He is incredibly informative and kind. And the rest of the staff from the front desk to the Vet Techs are so nice. You can just feel how much they love your animals. Also, which I think is one of the most important reasons I love this Vet, is they have always make room in their schedule for anything you feel is pressing for your pet.
