My very anxious and special needs boy only ever stays here. Mark and his staff are compassionate and patient and don’t give us a hard time about our four legged rescue baby and his quirks. They understand and speak dog. Our pup is never stressed out when we pick him up.We’ve tried other local boarding facilities in the past and none of them come close. Our dog was a stressed mess. Mark at Tuxedos K9 Training Camp has been such an incredible resource for us in owning our first dog! He truly is the dog whisperer and forges strong relationships not only with clients but with all of their fur babies in the process of helping them. He is knowledgeable, caring, approachable and has the biggest heart when it comes to his care and concern for fur babies. Mark always puts the mental, emotional and physical well-being of the dogs first and this is why he will always be our go to guru for Bailey!We were lucky enough to start Bailey in his puppy training class in October of 2020. As new dog owners, we stressed about how well we were doing in our work with her but Mark encouraged and reassured us. We then received numerous adorable pictures of Bailey keeping the front desk staff company during a boarding stay!We decided to take Baileys training a step further, continuing our education as pet parents in the Canine Good Citizen class. We were nervous about Bailey passing the course mainly because of her affinity for jumping. But Mark reassured us to trust in her and work with her and we had tears of joy when we found out that she passed! He addressed our questions and concerns, putting our fears at ease and showing us that we really had it in us to be the best we could for Bailey.In both classes, we learned invaluable tools and lessons that have helped us communicate better with Bailey to understand her wants and needs and feel much more confident than we did starting off. Our relationship with her has grown so much stronger for her better and she truly is our baby.Knowing this, Mark offered to help surprise my (now) husband on our wedding day, bringing Bailey from boarding at K9 Tuxedos Training Camp to the first look so we could capture some sweet family photos and include Bailey in a special way for the most important day in our lives. Although she was exhausted waiting for us to get in place at the venue, Bailey loved spending time with Mark and he remained calm and in control of things to ensure the timing was perfect for the surprise. Getting to see him bring Bailey out in a cute flower girl dress to surprise my husband was one of the best moments for me on that day!We are so thankful for all of the work Mark and his staff have put in to help enrich our lives as well as Baileys. Mark has provided the tools for us to continue working and developing our relationship with Bailey and we are indebted for all the pearls of wisdom he has given us. Now, whenever possible, we volunteer to work with the dogs in training for the Canine Good Citizen tests. Thank you, Mark, for all you have done for our little family. I can’t say enough good things about Tuxedo’s K9 Training Camp and Daycare. I had been struggling with my Corgi’s behavior, which included nipping and general disobedience. I engaged Mark Forrest Patrick for a series of in-home lessons. Week by week, Spencer’s whole demeanor changed. My sister came over yesterday and she couldn’t believe the difference in Spencer’s behavior since he has been training with Mark. I ran him through his commands, including “what do good boys do?”(lie down). She was grinning from ear to ear! He cuddled with her on the couch with no attention seeking nips. I can’t thank Mark enough for the transformation of my “wild child’s” behavior. ❤️

Im so happy here. There people really carry about animals and are very flexible with options for pick up and drop off.I always come to pick up my pets and see them in the large play area running around and having fun (they uave TVs up front showing those rooms).

Mark and his team took great care of our girl while we were out of town. We have brought our dog to many different boarding places and this has been the best experience weve ever had. Mark was great with communication and piece of mind. Would highly recommend trusting them with your pup!

I cannot say enough great things about this place! We called a lot of places before deciding to go with Tuxedo and speaking to Mark made us feel comfortable boarding our dogs here. They have staff 24/7, cameras you can watch, and they do not crate any dogs, but keep them in good sized rooms when boarding. There was not a single other place in Rochester area that had 24/7 staff at the facility.They also take special care of the dogs special needs and ensure any medications the dogs need are given appropriately. If you are looking for a place to board or send your dog to daycare, this is the best place to do this! Thank you Mark and the staff at Tuxedo for making me feel comfortable leaving our three furbabies with you!

So glad we found this place! Our trainer had discouraged us from doggie daycare, saying my puppy was too excitable and would perhaps develop bad habits running with too many or the wrong dogs. Mark and his staff have very few dogs together at a time, and move the pups around to other rooms if they are not compatible There is an attendant person in the room, and I can see what my puppy is doing on the webcam.Also like the half day option, which is not always available.The place is clean and well maintained.Staff has willingly accommodated my need to help get my girl into the place and into my car again, due to my recent physical issues. Very happy with Tuxedo K-9!

Our Shepard Bruno is a very spoiled baby who is used to sleeping with mommy and daddy in his king size bed. Our first time leaving him in boarding was very scary. We were assured that he would be taken care of. It took a couple days but Mark was brave enough to approach our apprehensive puppers and worked with us to get Bruno to an environment that allowed him to follow his feeding schedule and open enough to play with the staff. He FaceTimed us and sent us some awesome pics of our handsome boy.

Mark and his team at Tuxedos k9 are great! They have welcomed our Kenzie into their Daycare family and I couldnt be more thrilled. I have struggled with having to leave our pup at home while at work. Tuxedos has provided her a safe and fun place to go where she comes home tired and happy!

The training class for our new puppy was amazing! We learned so much! Mark is so knowledgeable and also helped us to understand how our puppy hears and sees things so we could make adjustments to help Maverick feel more comfortable in our home as well as help our kids get acclimated to having a new puppy. I highly recommend Tuxedos K9 training!!!

We took our 8 month old Golden Retriever to Tuxedo K9. We were so nervous leaving her for the first time over night. She loved it!!! She has been sleeping it off the fun all day!! We HIGHLY recommend!! We cant wait to bring her back for day care. Thank you!!!!!!!

My dogs love camp! I took my first vacation because I finally was able to trust someone to take care of my boys. Mark and his staff are amazing. Marks credentials were what originally attracted me to Tuxedos K9. My very anxious dog took a training class with Mark and I knew immediately that I could trust him to take care of my dogs. I hadnt met the staff yet, but I know Mark has high standards of care for dogs so I knew his staff must be amazing. And they are!

Tuxedo’s K9 Training Camp is an excellent daycare and boarding facility. I have several dogs and have brought my dogs to daycare and boarding many times. The staff is knowledgeable and caring and I am always comfortable leaving my dogs in their care. Staff is onsite 24/7 so I know when my dogs are boarded at Tuxedo’s K9 they are never left alone.The owner, Mark Patrick, is a certified trainer and is continuously updating his knowledge base through seminars with leading experts of canine care and training.Mark offers a great service and provides peace of mind when I leave my dogs in his care.

We took our 6 month old puppy for training classes with Mark at Tuxedos K9 Training, and loved every minute of it. He was very knowledgeable and we really appreciated his positive reinforcement training style. He was always available to help and answer questions if we (or anyone in the class) was bumping into any issues. After our puppy masters the basics we will definitely be going back for the intermediate class! Thank you Mark!

Knowing my dog is safe and as happy as she can be away from home is huge! She has boarded here a few times now and each time I pick her up she is clean, happy, and safe. They do a wonderful job with instructions for food and behavior needs and my anti-social dog has even made a couple other dog friends which is huge! Their online system is easy to use and they have an auto payment system setup making it easy on pickup day if I dont want to prepay. I cannot say enough good things about the experience with boarding my dog at Tuxedo K9 training camp!!

Used these guys to help train my giant st Bernard. He was very reactive and I coul d not walk him he has come a long way and now have the confidence to walk him myself

I would recommend anyone considering day care or boarding to watch the web cams before bringing their dog here. I appreciate the transparency of being given the web cam access before bringing our dog, but what I saw was shocking. I never saw any dogs go outside except from one room of six, and the employees rarely interacted with the dogs even when near them. Most of the time they push dogs away to go clean up a mess. Dogs are forced to go to the bathroom in the play areas. In just one hour of watching, I saw more than 10 different dogs pee in the play room and 5 dogs pooped in the play area. The employees seem numb to this and didn’t do more than a few swipes of a mop over the pee puddles. The employees cleaned things up in reasonable times for the larger groups, but I saw smaller groups of dogs sit with their mess for 30 minutes or more. Most of the dogs seemed anxious at the lack of interaction. They stand by the doors waiting for people. The smaller groups that were locked in rooms by themselves almost never had people come in unless there was something to clean up. Our tour seemed fine, so seeing the stark contrast on the web cams took me by surprise. Definitely won’t be bringing our dog here. I hate to leave such a negative review, but watching the dogs that are in this facility is very upsetting.Editing after owner reply: I saw Mark, the owner, in one of the rooms on video while the things I described were happening in other rooms right next to him. He said he is there every day. There is no way you don’t know these things are going on. His reply stated that I should have told him about this so he can review the video. It’s not my responsibility to inform you of these issues in some other way than this review, especially when you have cameras in every room.

Mark and his team at Tuxedos are great. They were very patient with my anxious bernedoodle who was boarding for the first time and I felt like he was in good hands.

I felt confident boarding our dog at K9’s Tuxedos Training and Boarding.They were very thorough obtaining all of his necessary health information and following his particular schedule.The facility is clean, organized and safe.I had a previous dog in for training years ago and highly recommend Mark and his methods.

Tuxedo has been our doggy daycare/boarding of choice for almost 3 years now. Our dog loves going there and is always well taken care of. Mark is an amazing business owner who is more the accommodating to our needs. I recently had a baby and he was available at all hours to assist when our dog needed to come in with no questions asked. 5/5 recommend to anyone looking for a great service for your dogs!

Mark is fantastic! We put our rescue puppy through both the basic and intermediate obedience classes and it was better than we ever hoped. Everyone at Tuxedos clearly cares about the dogs and owners and want people to have the best possible relationship with their pets. The programs were worth every penny and if I could give more than 5 stars I would. If we ever need boarding the decision where is already made. Keep up the great work Mark!

Our puppy Eastman has been going here for a few months. We chose Mark & Tuxedos based on reviews and we couldnt be happier! We have used the boarding and day care services and are thoroughly impressed with the care and dedication provided to not only our pup but all of the dogs that are there. Safety is a priority here and its always comforting to get updates/emails from Mark. We love that Eastman was able to continue learning to socialize but in an environment where he was safe - we cant thank this team enough for all that they do!

We absolutely LOVE Tuxedo K9. We started working with Mark right after we got our puppy. She’s currently still going through his training program. She is my second fur baby and I will say his training is top notch! (You have to be willing to do the work!). We also utilize Tuxedo for both daycare and boarding. I cannot say enough good things. His staff truly loves what they do and care for the dogs as if they are their own. We started with daycare in hopes it would improve some extra energy she needed IT WORKED! We had a whole new pup in the making. The other dogs taught her the ways of the world 🤣. We felt comfortable leaving her for boarding. In the past I had only used private home care. Mark made me feel so comfortable enough to consider boarding. Having the cameras available is only something that I found his company to have (yes I spoke and checked out many!) Having the cameras has been not only a comfort but great entertainment my myself and kids. We’ve loved watching her play and bond with other dogs. Lastly, they are so popular I’ve had to learn the hard way to plan ahead. (This review will probably not help my cause as more will start signing g up… haha). Even when dates are booked he offers a waiting list. This by no means is a guarantee but I truly appreciate the extra effort they put in to providing care for our pup. I cannot recommend Mark and his team enough at Tuxedo K9! We were nervous leaving our 3 year old mastiff for a week, but after my first meeting with Mark and getting a tour, I knew our Griffin would be well cared for and safe. He can definitely be a handful at times so it was nice being able to log into their camera system to see our dog and we even received picture texts throughout his stay to let us know he was doing well. He is home now so tired out and happy. We will definitely be using them again in the future and thank everyone for helping our family!

Tuxedos K9 is by far above and beyond the best Training Center in Rochester. Mark is the Dog Whisperer. He has a wealth of knowledge that only comes years of experience. Mark takes the time to understand what were looking for and worked with us on coming up with a plan that was customized around our needs. Mark is extremely responsive and always available if you have a question (or two..). We fully entrust Mark and his team to leave our dog with them for overnight or long weekend kennel stays. Mark sensed that we were a little nervous the first time we had to kennel our dog. Not know did he reassure us that shell be fine, he sent us videos of her playing throughout the weekend. That definitely put us all at ease. Not to mention, his faciltiy is fully equipped with cameras so you can log in and watch your dog throughout the day.....

We worked briefly with Mark on training with a rescue in the past and the knowledge he had was incredibly helpful! Now we have a puppy and as soon as she’s ready we will be going back for puppy classes and day care. It’s obvious that Tuxedo K9 cares about their animals and knows what they’re doing! We are still using the skills we learned with the past dog on our new dog and the difference is amazing. They are also incredibly affordable compared to others in the business. Looking forward to working with them again soon!

I cannot recommend Tuxedo’s K9 enough! I was nervous and anxious to leave our 10 month old puppy at boarding for the first time for a full week while we were on vacation. But my worries were unfounded, because Mark and the team at Tuxedo truly went above and beyond to make our pup comfortable — and being able to see pictures, get updates, and watch the live video feed to check in really helped to put my mind at ease. It was a welcome relief to see that our dog was having as much fun at boarding as we were on vacation!It’s abundantly clear how much the staff at Tuxedo care about the dogs (and owners) they serve. I can’t wait to bring my dog back for boarding and daycare services in the future, and I highly recommend them to anyone in the Rochester area looking for a true home-away-from-home for your pup!

We started out sending our 1 oversized over friendly puppy rescue, Rocco, to Tuxedo’s for daycare bc the last place we were at said that he wouldn’t stay in time out(I’ll leave that there). Rocco was terrible to walk, he’d pull you down the sidewalk and then some. We hired Mark to train all of us how to correct that, well, in 4 visits WE were cured. Then we got our big snuggle bug Vito and he loves going to doggy daycare. Also, everyone there loves our Vito. If you get the opportunity to have Mark train your dog or bring them there for daycare and boarding, DO IT!!! Your dogs will be beyond loved and respected and cared for. Thank you Mark and staff for all your love and care with our boys.

Mark is a fantastic trainer. Our dog really did change so much over the training sessions we had. She went from being very anxious and demanding to happy and calm. The training sessions are educational for both you and your dog. I would highly recommend him as a trainer.

We met Mark Forrest Patrick owner of Tuxedo’s K-9 when we were looking for a highly recommended trainer for our new rescue puppy. He was perfect for our new rescue who was so frightened of everything and everyone. We had to unexpectedly board Penny and Mark was our angel while we were on vacation. He went above and beyond to ensure our fur babies’ safety and made sure to send us pictures and stay connected with us while we were away. Mark is a gifted animal empath; he knows what each dog needs and when they need it. Mark is the only one we would trust our pets with. He lives his purpose of being an animal advocate and shares his love with them in everything he does.

Mark and his staff are extremely attentive to the individual needs of every dog. He is passionate about what he does and this infectious enthusiasm rubs off on his staff as well. We recently boarded our elderly black lab at Tuxedos K9 and Mark went above and beyond to make sure our dog was comfortable and well cared for. I have recommended this business to several friends and family.

I love this place for training & boarding. The owner really cares deeply about animals and it shows. My 7 yr old dog is high anxiety and will chew through a door if locked in somewhere but Tuxedo K9 already knows this and when designing the layout of his facility, kept that in mind. One of my big reasons for choosing this boarding facility. Also, my 2 dogs could have a suite together which probably helped them comfort eachother(maybe) Lol Either way, I knew my dogs were in good hands because I had toured the facility when I took my pup in many years ago for training classes. Im actually quite embarrassed because the dog I thought would be an issue was the good one and it was the other one who was a big chocolate lab baby crying like someone closed his tail in a door or ran over his paw🐾 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ Tuxedo sprang into action though as not to upset anymore pups and gave my big wuss some calming meds. I didnt have to worry one bit while on 3 day travel trip with my family and that is PRICELESS. Highly recommend!!! Thank you Tuxedo K9 for caring for my babies while we were traveling ❤️ 💕 it means the world.

My dog always comes home happy and tired after spending time at Tuxedos K9. I feel very secure knowing hes being taken care of there. Rates are reasonable - just make sure to plan your boarding in advance, because they do book up fast for holiday weeks, etc. Would definitely recommend. Also, Mark Forrest Patricks training classes are the best!

The owner Mark is amazing. The staff is wonderful. My dog absolutely loves daycare. I feel good knowing I can watch him on camera and feel confident that he has a safe and fun place to stay if I go out of town.

Mark and his staff at Tuxedos are top notch. I recently boarded my pit mix Gino who is almost 10 years old and has only been boarded once in his life. As soon as I arrived with Gino, the staff walked me through the care he would receive and even showed me around to ensure Gino was in a comfortable and proper facility. Being that Gino is mainly comfortable with other dogs he knows, Mark and the staff said they would temperament test him around other dogs to see who he would fit well with. The suites were very large and they have cameras you can watch during the day while you are away! I was away for a total of 11 nights and was given updates with pictures of Ginos status. He even made a girlfriend while he was there! I will be taking Gino back for every vacation I go on now, as I know he will always be well taken care of. Thank you Tuxedos!

We just finished the Intermediate Obedience Class with Mark. This was an awesome class and so worth every penny. Mark took us to places around town that were full of distractions and people. We worked on staying and walking nicely and paying attention to the handler in a variety of situations. It’s made a huge difference to my pup and her ability to walk nicely on her leash. I highly recommend this class and Mark. Mark is kind, generous, gentle, and my puppy adores him. We also do daycare at Tuxedo’s and love it! Check out Tuxedo’s K9. You’ll be glad you did!

Weve done group training, daycare, boarding, and individual lessons with Mark/Tuxedo for our young puppy and have been very satisfied with all the services. Its clear that Mark cares deeply about each dogs development and is a great positive reinforcement trainer. Would highly recommend whether you are interested in training or daycare/boarding!

We started out sending our Rocco to another Doggie Day on the west side. After a few months we were told Rocco needed training because he wouldn’t stay in time out. He’s literally a 90 pound puppy and LOVES TO PLAY!!! So we decided to try to find a day care/dog trainer all in one figuring the employees would be better trained to handle our happy big puppy. We were right. This was an amazing fit and Rocco loves it there. We had trouble walking him and Mark had him cured in 3 visits. This place and the owner and employees are AMAZING!!!!

I have boarded my dog Sasha Rose here several times. It has always been a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived until I pick Sasha up days or a week later. Sasha is happy to arrive but is always ready to come home with me.She is shy with men but loves Mark and she loves the time she spends with the staff.This last time she had pills & ear drops and she still seemed happy at pick up time.I thank everyone there for treating Sasha like part of their family!I recommend Tuxedos K9 for boarding and all the other activities.

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my puppy. Tuxedos is THE best. Truffle loves going there for daycare! She runs through the door when we arrive and I get to watch her have fun all day with all her doggo friends on the cameras. We also use Mark for training. Very knowledgeable, patient, and knows how to communicate with the dogs in a positive way. HIGHLY recommend. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Mark Patrick and Tuxedo’s K9 Boarding was a blessing for me and Bella Marie this past weekend. She is a rescue from the South, skittish, fearful dog. The facility is amazing and I was at ease leaving her there in their care. Mark went above and beyond to keep her calm. She has a ways to go with her social skills....so We will be scheduling training in the not too distant future.I highly recommend Mark and his facility!!!

Our family LOVES Mark Patrick and Tuxedo’s K9! I cannot say enough good things about this man! We met Mark when I needed training for my two rescued dogs and I recommend him to people when I am adopting out dogs through the recues I work with. He does private home visits and we were very grateful. He is very knowledgeable about dog training and genuinely seems to know how to talk to dogs, a dog whisperer if you will. Mark cares about animals so much, he supports every rescue he can. Recently, I asked for his help with a very sticky situation and he came through for me (and the dog)! He is truly caring and compassionate. Mark is always going to conferences and classes to constantly educate himself on the best practices for training your dog. He has quality employees that really seem to care about animals as well. Tuxedo’s K9 operates a kennel for overnight stays and I could not be happier. His will be the only facility that has someone on staff watching your dog at all times, which is very important. Most kennels only have someone there during the day. I just cannot say enough about what a great trainer Mark is. If you want someone who will go above and beyond your expectations and genuinely cares for your dog, Mark is your guy!

We brought our dog, Bruce, to the basic obedience class. We learned so much from it and Bruce loved it! Mark was our trainer and he was an amazing trainer. You can tell he is someone who loves what they do and it shows. We are looking into taking an intermediate class as I type this. Would definitely recommend Tuxedos K9 Training to anyone looking to train their dog. Our dog was stubborn when we started, but after learning how to properly communicate with our pup, we have had amazing progress with his training.

Tuxedos is the only place we have boarded our dog since adopting him 5 years ago. Mark and his staff are very friendly and make our dog feel very special. I love that they send me pictures throughout his stay.

Great place and staff. We have only used here for boarding our dog. She has always had excellent care and one time we were away and were called about a problem where she had a urinary infection. They took care of her by taking a sample to our vet and later getting the medication and giving it to her until we returnedWe like that our dog gets playtime and interaction with other dogs and the boarding rooms are nice and clean and each dog has their own “suite”Also like the idea that there is someone there 24 by 7 which makes us feel comfortable that someone is always there.Also love the online doggy cams where you can watch the dogs.

Very well run boarding facility. Clean, safe, price is reasonable. We have boarded our now 1 year old male yellow lab there 3 times so far and have already reserved 2 more spots. He loves it and comes home exhausted from playing with the dogs. Love the web camera too.

Thoroughly enjoyed training my reactive Riley here! I love their positive reinforcement style training methods and explanations of how to reduce the dogs fear. They help both the doggie parents and the dogs create a calm, relaxing and productive environment.After we did training here, we decided it was a great place for our boy to be boarded while we went on vacation. Although he missed us, they provided him a nice relaxed environment. Well definitely take him to be boarded here again :)

Love tuxedos boarding. The people are great. My dog is well cared for and I never have to worry about her. I love that they are staffed 24 hrs a day.

I have done basic training, daycare and boarding here with our dog. I wouldnt bring my dog anywhere else!! She has learned so much from basic training and our dog had a great time at daycare and when we boarded her! The owner and staff are wonderful!

I have brought both of my dogs here for obedience class and one of my dogs goes to doggy daycare during the week. Mark is very knowledgeable and great with the dogs. Ive had bad experiences with other trainers and doggy daycare facilities in the area but feel very comfortable taking my dogs to Tuxedos K9. I would highly recommend them to other dog owners!

We took our dog here when we went on vacation back in June. We were so happy with how they treated our dog. He received great care, play time, and attention from the staff. We were able to check in on him through their camera system, which was very nice! Every day he was playing, having fun and really seemed to enjoy himself. The place is very clean and smells very fresh for being an animal center. Highly recommend this place for boarding. We are looking forward to trying them for their day care option as well!

I love this facility as a daycare, the trainers here are very knowledgeable. I found that the training classes werent for me, which isnt to say they were bad, I just prefer different methods. I had taken a dog here for their reactivity training and it was fantastic, Rich is absolutely amazing. Mark, who led the training camp, is also a great trainer but trains differently than I like. I felt like the class proceeded too quickly, when the puppies werent ready for the next steps. It felt like there was a well laid out agenda for the lessons which would work for most puppies, but it just didnt work for ours, so the lessons didnt feel super personalized. So if all the puppies didnt seem ready for the next lesson, it still followed the same schedule regardless. However I did still learn a lot and all the trainers have great experiences and credentials under their belts. I highly recommend. :)

Very helpful and considerate when I needed to board due to a medical issue. Very accommodating to my needs and my dogs needs. Wouldnt board Ody anywhere else.Again, Mark came to my rescue to board for my second medical issue in 8 months. Ody loves it there and I have much confidence in leaving my little boy there. I know he is well taken care of and most importantly safe. I wouldnt trust anyone else to take care of my 4 legged child.

My big boy Baxter (95 pound Pit mix) absolutely LOVES to board there. And the owner and staff love him, despite all the face licking he gives them. 💖He gets very excited and barrels into the center as soon as we open the car door.He has a spacious room to sleep in, gets lots of walks, and i LOVE that there is someone on site 24/7.

Mark is the Dog Whisperer! My pup, Lee Loo absolutely loves him! When we were first searching 6 years ago, we tried 4 other places and after 1visit in each, she would not go in the others... she would pancake. Tuxedo is the ONLY place she will go and joyfully! First time leaving my dog in boarding program while taking a short family trip. Staff is excellent with my dog and goes above and beyond for his needs. My dog has own little issues getting to know other new dogs and meet new people and the staff at Tuxedo always knows how to work with him and make him feel comforted while staying at their facility. Mark is a phenomenal trainer. He cares deeply about each and every dog and his training focuses on whats best for the dog - as in, its not okay to tug on your dogs collar in anger, yelling at your dog gets you nowhere, theres no reason to use pain to train your dog, etc. He will work with you one-on-one when youre struggling and always seems to have an answer to our problems, such as jumping on guests, getting on the counters, puppy not going down the stairs, digging, you name it. Weve seen dramatic improvements in our Husky puppy in just 4 short months; were planning on using him for all of our boarding and future training.

We have used Tuxedos K9 for daycare, basic obedience training and boarding. Mark and his staff do a great job and you can tell they truly care about all the dogs there. Most boarding places leave the dogs locked up alone overnight but Tuxedo K9 has someone stay with the dogs overnight that are boarding.....its the only place I will board my beloved dog!!! We have been working with Mark for the last couple of months. We adopted a young pitbull mix from the city shelter and were being driven crazy by some behavioral issues that just didn’t seem to be improving — particularly relentless mouthing/nipping/biting (attention-seeking behavior) that left us scratched, bruised, and very frustrated. Mark has been extremely generous with his time and very professional with us. He has given us the tools we need to better communicate with our dog Toby. We have learned to recognize behaviors before they get out of hand and refocus our dog’s attention on behaviors we like. Mark’s training has been a good mix between positive reinforcement and necessary moments of tough love for our bratty pup who loves to test his limits. Mark is kind, patient and clearly loves what he does. We highly recommend him!

Mark is very passionate with dogs.Mark is very passionate with dogs. My dog Max was a rescue-he was found abandoned in an apartment for 3-4 days and because of that it made Max have aggressive issues. He bit my boyfriend 3 times and didnt listen to us. We werent sure if we would be able to keep him. I asked around work to see what dog trainers were out there and my friend from work recommended her dog trainer-Mark. My bf and I decided to sign Max up for his class. I went to the informational meeting and just going to that really impressed me. I went home and told my boyfriend that our dog trainer is a dog whisperer. Mark asked everyone about their dogs-what kinda food we feed what kinda toys they have and from that he could tell us what they need to get off of and what we need to change that could cause their behavior. Max was the most disobedient dog in the very first class-jumping on the couch, barking, biting, and growling. There were times when I had to call or email Mark to find out what I could do because Max was chewing on his bed or max was doing this. Mark will take a call or email anytime of the day and be more than happy to help you with your dogs behavior if theyre getting out of hand. By the end of 6 weeks, max was sitting by non-speaking command, laying down, walking beside us on walks and no longer being aggressive. Mark does an amazing job turning an aggressive dog into a sweet well behaved dog. Hes great with any type of dog and can turn a shy dog into an outgoing dog as well. Mark is a dog whisperer and I highly recommend him to anyone.

If you are looking for a man who truly loves your puppy, Mark is absolutely amazing! Whether you have a puppy or a dog that has fear, or a dog who can not walk properly while leashed, within minutes Mark has them walking beside you. I can not say enough of great things about his training. He is with you every step of the way. He really is that good. We love the facility and the group of people at Tuxedos K9 Training! My not so little guy Kylo did so well and learned so much from our class there! He especially loves to play and run around with all of his friends! He gets to be social in a controlled setting at camp every week and he has a blast - he always comes home super tired so Mom and Dad can get a day off too. His energy is boundless so we appreciate the break! They have a great boarding facility too which gives each pup their own space to relax when were busy with functions or out so hes not cooped up at home alone, theres someone there with him at all times so he can have the attention he needs and I know he safe! He even gets his own room if he spends the night! It is a quiet and clean place that we love going to! They even bring him to the groomers for us for bath time next door when he needs it so he is all taken care of and ready for us to get him at the end of the day - so convenient! I cannot thank everyone at Tuxedos enough (especially Mark) who have been super patient with our very independent, stubborn and very very energetic boy thank you all for everything that have done for us and thank you for treating my puppy as if he were your own! It makes me so happy that there are good people out there who will take the time to do what you all do! Did a 6 week behavioral class there for my 1 1/2 German Shepard as he gets overly excited with other dogs. The staff was wonderful and could tell they truly loved their job and the well being of each dog in that class. I have just registered for boarding for spring break and wouldnt trust anyone else to look after our beloved family pet.

Jordan and I are the proud parents of a 14 month old pit bull that we rescued through a local agency. We had come across Mark and Tuxedo K9 in December at Peta--Palooza and knew thats where we wanted to enroll for obedience training- before we even officially adopted Hank. Mark and his staff have been so incredibly patient and helpful along every step of the way. Frantic phone calls or emails pleading for help within our first couple weeks of parenthood were met with the utmost professionalism and complete understanding. We were immediately drawn to Marks true passion and talent for working with dogs. If you asked Hank, he would say that he likes Mark better than us. :) Any review could no doubt paint the picture of how great of an experience it is to work with Tuxedo K9, but in order to truly understand, you will have to see for yourself! Hank has since completed Basic Obedience, is currently enrolled in a Manners class and frequents Day Care and Saturday Play Group. We have had our fair share of challenges, but Hank has responded so well and come so far thanks to the training, confidence and care that all 4 of us have received. I took our 6 month old puppy for the intermediate class and was very happy with the results. Mark was super patient and helpful. It was nice to expose him to new things out in the community while still having Marks expertise available. We will be back for another class!

My dogs, Raegan and Duncan, and I have benefitted from Marks expertise as a behaviorist, trainer, and socialization at the daycare. Marks approach to dogs and their humans is very individualized. He uses a positive reinforcement approach that dogs readily respond. Mark is very patient, kind, and sees what works best for owners and their dogs. My dogs attended puppy socialization and basic obedience classes, individualized private lessons and attend daycare for continued play and socialization. My dogs will continue lessons with Mark. He goes above and beyond to answer questions, make recommendations for what is best for dogs, and follows up to see how dogs and owners are faring with the lessons and strategies. Raegan and Duncan are very excited to see Mark at classes and daycare. Its wonderful to see how excited they are to be there and at the end of the day dont want to leave the place. Mark has assisted me and my dogs with successful transition from puppies to continued training to become canine good citizens. Highly recommend Mark for training, daycare and play group. We have been using Tuxedos K9 for over two years now. We have a 130 pound Yellow Lab who thinks he is a lap dog with plenty of energy. Mark and the team, especially Carol are always awesome with him, even when he gets the yips. Im pretty sure my dog likes Carol more than he likes me! Bill (the lab) goes to daycare usually two times a week and gets all of his energy out! The live webcam is awesome. I have it playing on my computer at work all day. We also did the obedience training which was excellent, and anytime we are out of town we board Bill there. Highly recommend TuxedosK9!

Mark, you are truly the Rottie Whisperer!Our 10 month old Rottweiler named Atticus went through basic puppy training and was nice to be around until his hormones kicked in at about 5 to 6 moths of age. On the advice of our veterinarian, we did not neuter him until he was 9 months old. He was an absolute hormonal nightmare! His behavior was inappropriate and unruly. We neutered him and hired Mark when Atticus was about 9 months old. Working with Mark is the best decision we ever made. In the past month or so, Atticus has become a joy to live with. We are continuing his training with Mark towards his canine good citizen exam. We have always had large breeds and have worked with other trainers. The difference with Mark is that he genuinely cares about his canine and human students. His love of dogs is evident in every lesson. Whether you own a small or large breed, the best gift you can give your dog and yourself are lessons with Mark. He is the very best.

Dorothy sometimes has issues when kenneled, but pictures and videos of her stay show her relaxed and playful.Highly recommend!

Soon after getting home from retrieving our dog we had a question which subsequently couldnt be answered by the person at the kennel. Within an hour Mark returned my call and gave us very good advice. AND we got this excellent response on New Years Day!! Truely a professionally run business.

My yorkies, Magnum and Selleck stayed two nights with Tuxedo’s K9. From start to finish the stay was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and you could tell really loved all the pets. The suites were roomy and very clean. I live in Ohio but will definitely use this kennel the next time we visit NY.

We were referred to K9 by the rescue shelter from where we adopted our 3.5 year old black lab. We were not told at the time of the adoption that excluding the shelter, we were the dogs 4th owner. Obviously, the poor dog had some issues. Mark had a disciplined and well thought out approach to evaluating the dog.

We sent our hyper border collie aussie Shepard mix for boarding and training classes he seemed to love it! The training classes are great, our whole family came and the instructor was extremely knowledgeable and had a true talent with all of the dogs.

Tuxedos K9 Training Camp provided excellent training to my little guy Finn who suffered from severe fear aggression. Their training approach was positive reinforcement with no punishment. Finn thrived on this approach. They also provided excellent boarding services for my 2 dogs. I would recommend Tuxedo to anybody

We had a lot of work to do with our rescue Phoebe and Mark gave us the tools to turn around some of her negative behavior so that we could enjoy her. We would highly recommend him to anyone that is interested in training their dog! ~Shelly

We attempted to take our dog here for training classes. Made it through maybe 3 of the 6 classes before we had stopped coming. We have a 1.5 year old Australian cattle dog German Shepard mix who is very vocal around other dogs. Well, our dog was shunned and ignored during all our training sessions. We were told he was aggressive and he was put in a corner with a make shift wall and the trainer never came over to him. If you have any type of dog that can be considered an aggressive breed or has any sort of high energy, dont take then here.

This is Qs third year taking his vacation at Tuxedo K9 Camp while we go away and we love it. Q can be a tough cookie and they are so great with him! He even met some fellow old man friends this time around! Its so much easier to travel knowing hes in good hands.

Great place for our Dane to burn off energy. The staff take care to protect the dogs from any and all dangers, from skittish dogs to toys that could pose a choking risk, theyre on it. Camp Bow Wow is like that, too, but only Tuxedos has anti-slip floors. Very important for our beloved puppys hips!

Highly recommend Mark and his staff. They took care of our two miniature Schnauzers with loving care while we attended my moms funeral. Thank you for all you do.

Nice enough place. Seems pretty clean. They require specific appointments be made for daycare, which is not always convenient, and the customer service is unreliable and frustrating. I bought a 3-half-days package to start, but Ive only been able to take my dog one time because they keep losing her information/records or not returning phone calls (multiple times). If I cannot trust them to take a message and actually return a call or keep track of vaccination records, I dont know that I should trust them with my dog.

My puppy, Harley, had a great time at her overnight stay. I would definitely use Tuxedos K9 in the future for boarding needs. The wifi app to view her during her stay put our minds at ease while she was away. Thanks again!

My dog has bad anxiety if left in a small confined area and left alone for too long. TK9 goes above and beyond to keep him content and comfortable and give him the attention he needs. I cant praise Mark and his staff enough!

Had a great experience. My dog couldnt even see another dog across the street without barking and being aggressive. However, during this class, she was up close with other dogs and was gentle and calm. I would recommend!

As 1st time customers we had high hopes that our furry 4 legged boy would be taken care of like the spoiled schnauzer he is. And we were not disappointed.We were so pleased with the love all the staff showed Sebastian. From his eating quirks to his seperation anxiety, they showed their flexibility to make him feel safe & comfortable. And the webcams - such a great thing that we can watch him interacting w/new furry friends & staff too. A real nerve reliever for me :) They even sent me pictures of him and a new snuggle buddy!We are currently looking to move our sched around so he can go to play with his new friends lol.We will definitely use Tuxedos K9 again and will highly recommend it to anyone whos looking for quality care for their K9 family member. 👍👍

Our yellow lab, Monty, just loves going to camp to see Mark and all the amazing camp counselors! We used to take our lab to another day care, and I thought he loved it....that was until I started taking him to Tuxedos K9 Training Camp. Monty cannot wait to go to camp and will jump around at the mention of the word camp or Mark.

Awesome that’s what I have to say. Thank you for boarding sunnylou, I knew she would be in good hands, get the attention and love she needed while there. Everybody was great and service was fast, I definitely trust my pup with them.

Only took my dog there for one day. During that day she was secluded the entire day and I got a phone call from mark the owner that she wasn’t doing well with the other dogs. I was watching the webcams the entire time she was there and never saw her do anything other than want to play with the other dogs. I did notice another dog that looked very very similar to my dog doing some of the things my dog was being accused of doing. When I said I’d been watching the whole time to the owner he said he’d talk to the employees working. From that point on I wasn’t given any update or information at pickup. My dog did continue to be secluded in a room for the next 4 hours with only one employee actually giving her the time of day as to pet her. Of the employees walking in and out of her room I would have expected them to at least play with her for the $40 I just paid to keep my dog in isoloation. She has been at other daycares before with no issues and today, one day after this incident, is going back to the daycare she previously attended. Very disappointed.

It was a good experience for my dog Kelly to go to Tuxedo K9 when I first brought her home from the rescue at about 7 month. She learned some fundamentals of good dog behavior and saw other dogs doing what she was doing.

We brought our 2yr old rescue for obedience class. Mark was very helpful with giving us techniques to calm down and redirect our dogs energy.

So glad I decided to go with Tuxedos. Left my dog there for a long weekend while I was out of town and could not have asked for a better experience. They were so attentive and gave him sooo much love. They have live webcams, and I got pictures and videos when I came home. There really is no other place like Tudedo’s.

My baby was treated very well at this facility. The only thing I would change is to have more input from the staff as to how she did while being boarded. If she ate well, had any diarrhea issues, etc. Just so I know what her week was like.

I boarded my puppy there over 3 weeks and I couldn’t be happier! Mark is an amazing guy! I can’t recommend Tuxedo K9 enough.

Zeo has been going to Tuxedo K9 for over 2 years. The staff show their excitement when he arrives. Mark is so responsive too. Anytime I have a concern, he responds within seconds.

My dog comes home happy and tired after staying here. The staff is loving and will do most anything to make sure your pet is save and happy. I wouldn’t go anyplace else.

Mark always responds to my text/emails promptly and is very accommodating. Rosie loves Tuxedo K9 and is treated like one of the family. I highly recommend Tuxedo K9.

This is the ONLY place I trust to watch my dog while we go on vacation and she loves it!The cameras are an added bonus to check up on my dog when we are away and she always looks like she’s having the best time playing with her friends. The staff are always attentive and are constantly cleaning to ensure the dogs are in a safe and clean environment during their stay. 10/10 would recommend!

We have boarded our two pups at Tuxedos several times. Our first experience was within a few weeks of moving to Rochester, when my husbands mother passed away. Tuxedos was able to accommodate a very late-notice request and the woman who helped me was so great. Since then, we have been able to book online, which is such an easy process. Drop off and pick up go very smoothly and our dogs are always so happy. The puppy cams are also great for a peak into their day. Super helpful that first time when I was so stressed about leaving them at a new place. Mark, the owner, is often there and is very willing to answer questions about behavior or show you around. We always know our pups will get great care at Tuxedos.

Only place we will ever bring our dogs for an overnight stay.

I have boarded my dogs here a few times, they love it! I love it since I can check in periodically to see my dogs playing with other dogs. It’s super clean and the employees are very attentive.I have also worked with the owner mark at my Home to help train my dogs, I would highly recommend him! He is so good with the pups and gives good advice on how to make realistic changes at home to train our dogs to help reduce their anxiety.

A friend of mine recommended Mark. He is very knowledgeable, professional and kind.

I cant say enough good things about K9 Tuxedo Training Camp and Mark the owner. We took Sprocket when she was a wee pup and got her trained. Mark has always treated her like one of her own and Sprocket loved going in. Your dog will also live the life of luxury when shes there for the kennel. I highly recommend this place.

Mark is amazing! We rescued a two year old pup, as the months went on we noticed he was becoming very protective over us and our house, growling at any noises outside, people we would pass on walks and when people would come over. Tuxedo’s K9 training was recommended to us by our vet and we couldn’t be happier. With a series of visits our little guy has made a complete change. He’s more relaxed and a lot less reactive, not to mention he just loves Mark. Thank you for all of your training and advice. If you are in need of a great positive reinforcement trainer this is the place to go!

We took our dog here for daycare and boarding. We were pleased with daycare, but not wowed. Looking back, we realized that most of the dogs just lay down throughout the day whereas our dog likes to constantly be moving and playing. When it came to boarding our dog for the week while we were away on vacation, our feelings had changed. I received an email no more than 4 hours into our trip. They needed me to call them at my earliest convenience. When I called they told me our dog was “boarderline aggressive”. He was not even two years old at the time and had a ton of energy. They told us that they would keep him for the week, but he needs more training before he could go back. The entire trip we were worried about our dog. Needless to say, we’ve taken our dog elsewhere and we’ve been told he’s actually one of the calmer dogs. There is more outdoor space and if the dogs get too riled up, as dogs tend to get, they take a five minute break from the other dogs.

Training camp at K-9 is terrific! I have been to other training camps with my other dogs and K-9 is my favorite. They do not use a military approach, rather they use positive reinforcement and encouragement, to which my dog responds well.

Our dog goes to daycare once a week. She loves it and the workers love her. We have bordered her for a week and had a wonderful experience with that as well. Our dog has special needs and they did everything we asked! Love this place!

Tuxedo has been really great for training and boarding our dog, Raven. She is so happy with the play groups and they did an excellent job of temperament assessment before hand so I know she is in a safe setting and will not be exposed to bad doggie behaviors. Plus, you can watch your pup from the web cam. I will absolutely use them again!!

Mark is the best dog trainer Ive ever worked with. He uses positive reinforcement and real-life scenarios. He offers advanced training in different locations to really help your dog learn to listen to you in distracting environments.
