While its a commendable job from the Rochester city to come up with a dog park, the maintenance of the park is supposed to be by the dog parents. Except some responsible parents a lot of them seems to not care about the well being of other dogs and the park. Picking up after your dog is somthing which is expected, but, a lot of parents just do not do it. Its a shame that even after proving with poop bags and a trash bin a lot of parents just ignore the fact that its a public space and needs proper care.
The park has been pretty great. We havent had any issues and most dog owners are attentive and friendly. There are two spaces (large and small dog sides). The only thing I wish is that we each had our own card to get in (too many people give out the code to people whose dogs are not registered).
So cute. The dogs all seem to get along very well. Very friendly pet owners also.
Great dog park. Has 2 sides. 1 for small and 1 for large. Most of the time the small dogs are in with the large dogs because they are all socialized well. MUST be registered and LICENSED with the City of Rochester to gain access thru security gates. FREE registration for park once licensed. City doesnt do much to maintain the property. Many times the garbage can for feces is full. Doggie poop bags provided. Summer months a water outlet is turned on and a couple water bowls are provided. Grass areas get quite a bit of traffic so it can become very muddy in the Spring and Fall. Parking is across the street. Usually many tennis balls to play with. NO TREATS allowed...No breaking off tree branches for dogs to chase or chew. A couple of benches for sitting provided. More info call 311 from within the city.
Our 2 pups had an awesome time. Not too crowded when we were there. Has completely separate areas for Small dogs and Large. Good size dirt and grass areas, and water hose with bowls.
YETI (150 lbs, Malamute) had a great time, and made lots of new friends.
My first experience at this park was great! All the owners seemed really attentive to their dogs. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I definitely plan to return.
Mostly fine, highway noise can stress out skittish dogs
I was ousted for not knowing the code to the park. Literally ignored by the people inside. Despite the fact that my dogs licensed and we live right down the street, I guess we werent good enough to come in because we didnt know a damn code. Makes no sense to require a code if the dogs are more well behaved than their owners.
Great park for any season of the year. There are separated spaces for larger and smaller dogs. Its cleaned regularly and everyone there is very responsible for their dogs.
Extremely loud being directly next to a freeway
My boy Chihuahua TIMBER has a lot of friends here
We go there just see the dogs. We love to see then interaction of the dogs with their owners, it is a great experience and fun. Unfortunately, we cannot have a dog at our home.
Our pooch loves having play time andaling friends here.
Great dog park for city residents, located in the historic Cobbs Hill park. Closes early so get there quick if you work days.
Solid place for your dog. Always have ample high quality thickkk black poo bags available.
Went to the dog park at highland park.It was a great place to take your dog. They have a wonderful place to take your dog to play with other dogs
We was watching a softball game it was quite exciting watching the players pour out there heart n soul. A lot if competitive spirits
My little dogs are new to dog parks. Appreciate the little dog side so we can get used to it.
Great little dog park, small dog side and large dog side. Not usually many dogs on the small dog side but the large dog side is well attended.
Nice lil place for the pooch torun and play. while waiting to unload this truck in morning at Monroe County Water Authority.
I have two small puppies every now and then when I take them to the small animal section I see large dogs in there. I had to turn around and go home.
Love the park. Good people and dog. Except my dog got kennel cough last week 😯
Medium Size, Fully Fenced. Alot of Cinders and some Grass. People and Dogs are Friendly.
Love this park.. even though my dogs dont leave the house
No Water for the dogs to play in ..there is a water pump but its in the dirt and dogs get all muddy.
Decent space but can be muddy
My dog loves to come here and play with all the dogs that come here also.
First time I took my dog Harley to a dog park she loved it !
Nice and dog friendly
They have summer softball league guys and ladies star on March if I believe
You have to pay to get in. Or you need a code which we didnt even know where to get. Its ridiculous. Its a patch of grass and you cant get in unless you pay. We never got in.
The city guys that take care of the park are very nice and do a great job
Very friendly people and a great place for the dogs!
I visited today and it is good place for exersise morning evening walk
This is just a mess. I dont think it was planned very well. They just put up some fencing and a couple of gates and left it at that. Im very grateful to have a dog park so close to me where my dog can play off leash but, when it rains it turns into one giant mud puddle. There is no grass left. I dont know how they thought there would be after all the dogs started playing and running around everyday! And dont get me started on all the people that dont clean up after their dogs. I wish the people who put this park here could improve it somehow
Fun time most people that go there are good
I have a small dog and he was the only one. Park was clean and pick up supplies very nice.
I enjoy being in a very clean and well kept park. This will always be the only dog park Ill go to.
I really enjoy bringing my dog here but the last couple of times she has had to deal with a couple of territorial dogs!!! People bring there dogs there that are not even registered with the city & some of the dogs are PUPPIES under the age 6 months !!! ALOT OF RULE BREAKING.....I WANT THIS TO ME A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR MY DOG BECAUSE A NEGATIVE ONE CAN CAUSE BEHAVORIAL PROBLEMS
Great place friendly dogs...and people. All played well together.
Great place to take dogs to play with other dogs. Kept well.
We love the Citys dog park, its the best thing that has happened to our neighborhood since we moved in!
Coded to keep the baddies out. Friendly people. Friendly dogs.
Great! Nice big areas to play.
Not the biggest area. People are friendly and dogs are always fun 😊
Friendly people make it a great place to hang out
Good place for bad place my dog was bitten by another dog and the owner left without making sure that my job was okay
One of my favorite summertime places!
Different sections for small and large dogs, friendly clean place
I was mortified to show up to what I thought was a community dog park. Turns out it looks like two old tennis courts back to back, and I cant even take the pup Ive been looking after in without a permit. Not the park for people who are pet sitters. I dont know what the permit process involves but I certainly would never spend any money to take a dog to this park.
The highway traffic is loud!
Nice and friendly .
Another gem at Cobbs Hill Park!
Dog park 10/10. Doggos 12/10
Nice to relax
Playful dogs, friendly owners.

For the city it could be bigger.
