Great people! Great service!I have a pure bred husky (which means very long, shedding, hair) that needs to be groomed consistently. Ive taken her to a few different places and have been completely dissatisfied with the service. Sage comes back with clumps of hair still falling out. One time, she came back with her hair still damp! Which is anyone knows about dogs, that means it will smell...These people at Park Ave Pets truly did the job... in incredible timing! And they sell dog bones for a great deal! I will always come back there from now on!

I adopted two hamsters here (Beefsteak and Fairy) and theyre both so sweet! Thank you to Asher who helped me adopt them, he was super nice through the whole process ❤

Met Lisa at my place of work. Only fair I go to hers! I love finding small local shops where the service is stellar. I got to spend 20 minutes in back bathing my massive great dane (Oh how much I love using someone else facilities!!) The groomer was charming and I am now doubtful I will ever trim my own dogs nails. Long live local owned businesses. I have a new favorite. PS (bonus points to anyone who identifies the meaning of my on line name, two points if you know the language, and three points if you can name where I was when I learned the word) (not from Harry Potter, though the word does appear there)

I love park Ave Pets they do awsome grooming here. They are pleasant and always happy to see the pets come in. I have taken mine there several times and have never been disappointed. I wish I could give more than five stars they are well worth it so happy with them.You can really see the difference I put the before and after pics.

Park Ave Pets is the best! They are so accommodating, and most importantly treat my dog like gold. She never leaves stressed and is always perfectly groomed (this time by the amazing Dylan). They have an awesome selection of treats, toys, and any other accessories you may need for dogs, cats, and all other pets. They also offer walk-in nail trims!

Great selection of items, dog grooming, & awesome staff.I take my golden to get groomed here and she looks show perfect every time. You can tell the groomer care very much about their furry clients. My dog is happy to go here & is never freaked out like another place I had taken her too.The owner Lisa, is beyond sweet. Her cat assistant who is always lounging on the counter is a welcome sight.The store is packed with any type of pet product you could think of. Most items are high quality and on the natural side in regards to food, treats etc. I highly recommend spoiling your pet with the lovely cookies they have that are hand made.

Workers here body shamed a 9 month pregnant woman today. Told her that she must be having a girl because pregnant people with boys are radiant and beautiful and her bad skin and ragged look meant she must be having a girl.What kind of internally hideous person do you have to have to trash talk someone like that. Listen to all the other reviews bringing attention to the poor behavior of the employees here. Wont give them another dime and encourage you to do the same.

Had our dog, Bailey, neutered in the morning, wanted a post-op collar to replace any lampshade provided by the vet. Excellent phone help by Archer. Drove to the store that same afternoon and met Lisa the owner. She custom-fitted a Kong Cloud collar...great personal service. Bailey agreed.

I have been coming here for a few years now. They have everything that I could want, and I also enjoy withholding $$ from the Amazon monopoly. Today I found out that I love the owner. It’s all because I actually had a full conversation with her today about…… everything really. All around great business.

Stopped in for a nail trim yesterday with an anxious pup and the staff took such good care of us. Dylan got the job done quickly and calmly. The owner, Lisa, taught me how to keep my dog calm by giving her a bear hug. It was a 10/10 experience and I am going to transfer all my pet care product purchases and services to this store.

I brought my rabbit there this morning to get his nails trimmed and the technician who trimmed his nails was fantastic and it only took 10 minutes and the price was very reasonable and my rabbit wasnt traumatized afterwards he stayed still and let her trim his nails. I highly recommend them if youre looking for someone to do this, the staff was really nice and the technician knew how to handle my rabbit which is really important to me and I was present while she was doing it. Great job to the technician with the multicolored hair! Sorry I didnt get her name.

Ive been getting Gorgonzolas nails trimmed here for 2 years (English bulldog). Its fast, she doesnt mind it and gets treats after. Last time we left, she was pulling me to the door to go back inside 😂

I really like this business! Helpful and sweet employees and fairly good selection. I would have a few recommendations such as, to give their guinea pigs more hay and more hides and to stop selling small critter cages that are too small for the critters! Only a friendly suggestion! Otherwise best pet shop within a reasonable drive.

Only likes certain dog breeds.Very expensive, i was super loyal here for years. Turns out, im more loyal to my family.This review is a few years old. I just added the family part the other day.My boxer pitt rescue was not welcome at your store. I know what store im talking about. Sad you would try to put it on another business.

Love this local shop. We bring our dog here for nail trims and they can always fit us in and do a great job. Just added a fish to our house too and they were very helpful. Friendly, responsive staff and the friendliest cat of all time who lounges on the desk.

Owner is narrow-minded and ignorant to whine about not being able to sell dogs, cats and rabbits from breeders. You work in the pet industry, please educate yourself.

Loved that it was a small private shop! In my experience they usually dont have much so it was a good option for feeder fish... They had sooo much stuff to my surprise, I walked out of there not only with feeder fish... But dog clothes, cat goodies, bird stuff, new fish for my community tank, and my daughter wanted a betta fish, and they were in SUCH GOOD CONDITION compared to chain pet stores! 10/10 recommend stopping in!

My husbsnd and I visited Park Ave. Pets for the first time today. My 2 month old English Bulldog needed his nails trimmed. I have only had him for one week and was a little apprehensive. Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and addressed all of my concerns. There is a wide variety of merchandise to chose from and we will definitely be returning to Park Ave Pets for Rexs supplies. Awesome local small business that carries surprising variety and quality of items in store. Many small mammals, birds, and a variety of tropical fish for sale at all times. All supplies for classic pets like dogs and cats are available all the way up to chicken feed and aquarium air pumps. Stop in for any of your pet-related needs!

Friendly staff and great store. The walk-in dog shower is a nice service they offer and my family uses it often. My kids not only like giving their dog a shower there but also looking at all the animals.

I really appreciate the selection and service. The store carries brands that Im not able to find at the bigger pet stores in the area and theres always someone nice to greet and help you, usually the owner who shows a genuine interest in your pets and consumer needs. This store is a real gem and Im usually able to park right out front on the street.

I have gone to this store for 10 years or so. Lisa is both very knowledgeable and helpful. Especially helpful always. Great prices regarding food. Science Diet MUCH cheaper. Nice to take your dogs to for an errand.

Every time I go to park ave pets, Lisa has what I need. She works hard to answer my questions efficiently and honestly. I know my pets are safest when I go here. I am treated so well there. I get everything I need for my betta fish, cockapoo, and two outdoor/indoor cats. Lisa and her employees are all the best in my opinion for rochester pet supplies and care. I have tried everywhere else around rochester and believe me, its not worth it. Prices are the same or less than other places too. But the best part is you know you will have a kind, patient and knowledgeable person to help you figure out everything you need to make your pet as safe, healthy and happy as possible. Great friendly staff. They also offer pet grooming. A great selection of quality pet supplies. Prices are a little higher than at other stores hence only 4 Stars. Other than that a great little shop.

I like how they treat my dog and how they groom my dog. the only thing is that they dint have a standard rate for the services and every time is a surprise on what they are going to charge me. first I started paying $20 for the grooming and bath and $5 for the nail trim, the i was charged $35 and just recently i went and they charged me $48 the person in charge called me to tell me that she didnt want to cut my dogs hair because it was winter time and that i wasnt suppose to cut his hair, i have cut his hair ever since i had him because he suffers from being hot, but they eventually cut his hair down to a 3. i wish they had a standard rate and not lost my dogs card every time .

Take my dog here for a bath once a month or so and they are very friendly. Self serve baths are convienent and easy to use. Great local pet shop. Well priced treats too.

Its a serious shame that a place like this exists. That woman who owns or runs the store is truly rude, inconsiderate, and will REFUSE to refund even after terrible service. Dont let her kind demeanor fool you because once that money is already in her hand, she wont care what service youve gotten from her or her grooming associate. Please DONT groom your dog there, especially with a young lady named Austin, If you care for you pet and would like to see them remain UNCUT and UNHARMED- I would avoid this store like a bad habit.As soon as I walked into the back to pick up my puppy, I was told my dog self-inflicted a giant cut on his neck, hes a 6 pound maltese completely incapable. I have support from both my veterinary hospital as well as a few SKILLED hair stylists and groomers telling me that is a cut from an unguarded clipper. Not only did they refuse to refund because they claimed preexisting cut but the girl then goes on to change her lie to I may have clipped an scab that was already there. when I came back to confront the situation. If she had even admitted to a clipping because i understand hes a puppy, but she lied to my face, then proceeded to take my money with a cut on my dog . I very much feel like I wouldve spent my 40+ dollars better buying meth or something rather than giving it to these people. And to top it off, I always tip that groomer generously- figured that means Id get enough respect back to not be lied to or have my dog harmed, at this place unlikely. Dont give your money to them, theres plenty of other local shops like petsworld or petsaver who deserve your money more by better service alone, muchless guaranteeing rotated, fresh stock.Its stores like this that make people shy away from small local businesses. I myself have worked in customer service for at least 10 years now and Ive worked with small, local and large corporate businesses. A woman like that clearly has her own business because if she worked for anyone else- shed be fired because she doesnt see the customer as right, just whats in her wallet already. When an own cant see past themselves to treat the customer correctly, its a shame since thats what local business are supposed to bring to the table but instead you get a woman who does as she pleases, sells VERY old, dusty, unrotated stock (I bought an EXPIRED can of dog food the SAME day I came home to my dog cut), get lied to, and well, your dog bleeding from the neck.

This is not a place you feel welcomed. The worker in the store was rude, unprofessional and did not provide assistance when asked. I would not recommend going to this pet store. Try looking on Amazon first before wasting time.

I discovered this on my way to the park. Its cute and quiet and they have ALOT of items you wont find anywhere else. Its super dope and the down to earth vibe will def have me coming back. If they dont have an item they will try to have it added to the shipments. I gave 4 stars bc they didnt have the small dog boots my pup needed. Otherwise Ill check on Weds which they said more should be in.

I love this shop its small but very clean and they have alot of nice things for your pet friends at reasonable prices the workers are very friendly and I needed to get my two toy poodles groomed and Lisa was great she was able to fit my babies in at a earlier date then what we were scheduled which I was so pleased and happy my poodles groomer was brittany and she did such amazing job on my poodles they are loving it ❤we will definitely be back in for grooming and other pet supplies ❤ ♥ 🐶🐶

Always warm and friendly service with a great selection of pet goods. Grooming available from self wash to full service. Fish, birds, hamsters, ferrets, mice, rabbits and crickets reside there too.

Bathing facilities very good. Boss got his nails trimmed and they have good selections of toys for big dogs. The cashier was very attentive and nice. 🤗🤗🐕🐕

I have 2 very feisty Wheaten Terriers so I know that grooming them is a challenge, but the staff is always so nice and the pups always come out looking great.

**Once they have your money- Forget it**I will no longer be shopping at this store- I will go to Wal-Mart (Where they will except returns no questions asked)*I have been a customer of this store for many years- No Longer.-I bought my 5lb poodle a life jacket at the tune of $26.00 here, and I used it once and it ripped. I have had it for no longer than a week. Have my receipt and everything. I called the store (Spoke with the owner) and she said Nope sorry cant return it You will have to call the company.- Really? I have to call the company. I asked her When I go to other stores if I have an issue with an item they return it She saidI didnt sell it to you damaged and Im not returning itPark Ave pets- Hope its worth the customer you just lost that buys dog food and supplies for many dogs every month- I will also spread the word to my friends and family what kind of customer service you get here. -

Super cute little pet store, and they do walk in nail trims and self serve baths. They have everything you could possibly need for your pets, and they always have a treat for my fur buddy. Normally, our dog is rambunctious in the larger stores, but she seems totally at ease here, even if other dogs are around. Will definitely be coming here more now.

This is an awesome (privately owned, I assume) establishment! The woman who owns/runs this store is clearly knowledgeable about all aspects pets, and is very helpful. Her knowledge and excellent customer service is also extended to her employees. I have a freshwater fish tank, and I would recommend buying live fish from this pet store over Pet Supplies Plus. (EVERY FISH I HAVE BOUGHT FROM PET SUPPLIES HAS DIED!) I am glad to spend my money here.

The store is welcoming, always has a variety of healthy treats and other essentials. The owner is extremely helpful with questions and is also very involved in the community.In the back of the store there is a grooming area, where you can have someone else groom your pet for you, or you can do it yourself at one of the stations for $15! Its an extremely convenient feature because all of the tools are available for use.

Took my dog to get self groomed. They were very friendly and showed me where everything was and even gave him a treat when all was said and done. My dog who is very stubborn had slipped his collar and the groomer and Lisa assisted me on getting my dog the perfect collar. Plan on going back and taking my other dog as well.

Unpleasant woman who works there, I think she owns it, plus the prices are high. Shes never been nice to me or a friend of mine. We both have been there multiple times with and without each other, but we stopped going because of the rudeness we always encounter. For a locally owned pet supply store I use petsaver.
